Derek Francis, (7 November 1923 — 27 March 1984), was a British character actor.

Some of his most notable work were his appearances in the Carry On films, first appearing in 1967's Carry On Doctor, and making his final appearance in 1972's Carry On Abroad. Other film roles include The Tomb of Ligeia and A Christmas Carol (1984).

Francis was a familiar face on British TV from the start of The '60s to the end of The '70s. Some of his biggest roles were Emperor Nero in Doctor Who and Father Bernard in Oh, Brother!.

He died of a heart attack at the age of 60.
