
David John Franco (born June 12, 1985 in Palo Alto, California) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director.
He debuted in an episode of 7th Heaven and was cast as a main character for the ninth and final season of Scrubs. While many of his roles are in comedy films (like Greg in Superbad, Eric in 21 Jump Street, and Pete in Neighbors (2014)), he has also been seen in other genres, like the thriller Now You See Me and the historical drama If Beale Street Could Talk.
His older brothers, James and Tom, are also actors. He co-starred with the former in the 2017 film The Disaster Artist, playing Greg Sestero to his brother's Tommy Wiseau. He married Alison Brie in 2017.
His directorial debut was The Rental (2020).
