Wonder if it must be fictional things, or at least things with a related work page on TV Tropes?

Maybe we can dabble with IRL topics.

It's possible to do so. With a hard caveat about how to approach them (eg I tend to frown on the use of politics for games like this)

However, I think we should focus on using fictional things first.What happens if the round theme is Real People/family/friend or sth like that and someone decided to nominate themselves or their family member/friend/lover...?

I meant things like Battle of the Bands or desserts. It would be a shitstorm to use politicians.

That I'm not opposed to. Battle of the Bands has been something I thought of possibly doing in the past, though someone can do it too. Another thing I can possibly see is the use of ancient/medieval countries. I'm into history so I find a round about that fascinating.

Maybe we should do them if we don't get a response in the 24 hours or whatever, I'm down too

Is a Troper round where we nominate ourselves a good idea?

I feel like if we are doing real life topics, then it may be best to have a rule against nominating controversial real life figures just in-case like we do in the HGS.

I wouldn't exactly enjoy that idea since I feel that would easily cause drama whenever we deduce points to someone.

What are considered controversial? Political figures, religious figures and what else? Are all historical figures controversial? Also I have a few possible ideas for fictional rounds, but I don't want to host.

Any round that involves real life people would just be asking to turn into drama, better to stay entirely clear of that and just use stuff like music albums or food for rounds about non-fictional stuff.
