Strom Marocannus
Spinomon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Achey Scars: The Dramon data that was taken into Strom's hand after he cut himself twice on the Wyrmflame causes intense pain to him every so often, particularly when the dramon data becomes dominant.
- Anti-Hero: Type II thanks to previous character development, but he occasionally shows some signs of Type III.
- The Atoner: Sort of. For his treatment of Ragna during Civil War.
- Berserk Button: Don't hurt his friends.
- BFS: Two of them, on occasion.
- Born Unlucky
- Butt-Monkey: As always.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: In "Strom", Strom is subjected to this by Daehak when they're trying to get information out of him. Unfortunately for them, Strom is too spiteful to cooperate, but they find out the information through other means before Daehak initiates Fingore on Strom's claws. Made worse by the fact that Deahak is entirely made up of the most durable metal, Red Digizoid.
- Combat Pragmatist
- Deadpan Snarker
- Stepford Snarker: Lampshaded by Braon.
- Defector from Decadence: In "Strom".
- Defiant to the End: In "Strom", Strom is this when being tortured by Daehak. He survives though.
- Defrosting Ice King
- Disappeared Dad and Missing Mom: He grew up without parents.
- Et Tu, Brute?: His best friend, Ranney, betrays him in order to save his brother. In "Strom" it's this fact that nearly breaks Strom during his torture.
- Genius Bruiser:
- The Hero
- Horrible Judge of Character: In "Strom".
- Interrogated for Nothing: This happens in "Strom". Subverted in that Strom doesn't tell them anything in the first place, but the Dramon find out the information they wanted from him through The Mole.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold
- Knight in Sour Armour
- Large and in Charge: Of the Desert Vanguard, though he's not the largest.
- Parental Abandonment: Strom's parents either abandoned him at a young age or are dead. He was unofficially adopted by King Aegyptu.
- Socially Awkward Hero: Particularly around a certain ShineGreymon he met.
- Sour Outside, Sad Inside: Lampshaded by Braon. In Scars, he makes progress in growing out of it.
- The Strategist: As of Scars, it's no longer an Informed Ability, as he actually has a means to employ his tactics.
Ranney Nychus
DinoRexmon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.

- The Atoner: For what he did to Strom.
- Deadpan Snarker
- Dynamic Entry: Ranney's default greeting.
- Lightning Bruiser
- Plucky Comic Relief: A lot of the time.
Sarki Atilus
Pteramon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:

Barik Kur
Spinomon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Jerkass
- The Resenter: To Strom, ironically.
- The Starscream: A heroic version to Strom. He doesn't think Strom deserves to the the Desert Vanguard's leader and won't think twice about undermining him.
King Aegyptu Aegyptus

A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Asskicking Leads to Leadership
- Large and in Charge
- Parental Substitute: To Strom, who he unofficially adopted.
Gapsar
MasterTyrannomon

Commander Braon
Justimon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.

- Cool Teacher
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Does this to Strom repeatedly.
- Mildly Military: He's pretty informal for a Commander. Then again, they were rebels.
- The Strategist
- You Are in Command Now: He and Arahon, after the deaths of the Olympians.
Ishton Kirzarv
Slayerdramon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Anti-Villain: Type II or III
- Berserk Button: Don't insult his late master Gotungir.
- Death Seeker: Showed shades of this during the final battle.
- From Nobody to Nightmare
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Ishton opts out of wearing his armour both because it gives him more mobility and he absolutely hates the heat of the desert. Had he worn armour, Ranney's surprise attack probably wouldn't have had the effect it would have had that led up to him getting obliterated by Strom's Blue Prominence.
- Hotblooded
- Karmic Death: He assumed that he would be able to manipulate Duroth into fighting for him, but it turned out that he was the one being manipulated by Duroth, which eventually led to his death.

- Villainous Valour: Shows this after the Slayer Legion is betrayed by the Dramon Empire.
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: He's doing most of what he does due to losing the person he cared about most in the world.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Don't assume that Duroth is a naive Wide-Eyed Idealist.
Tartarus Dreadmor
Paildramon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Because I'm Good At It: Subverted and deconstructed. He's a proto super soldier who helps to start another war as, without war, he wouldn't have anything to do or a ways of supporting himself, due to having Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training in the brutal training regime of proto super soldiers. That, and he finds fighting really fun.
- Blood Knight
- The Brute
- The Dragon: To Ishton.
- Family-Unfriendly Death: Impaled and nearly cut in half by a beam and then slowly crushed by a giant metal crocodile.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: His Team Killer status comes back to haunt him in the form of a gigantic metal crocodile, who he previously caused to be mortally wounded, slowly crushing him to death.
- Manipulative Bastard: Not overly so, but he did use a few choice words to convince Ishton to start a campaign of revenge, all because Tartarus wanted to continue fighting so that he could make himself more than an obsolite proto super soldier.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning
- Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training
- Team Killer
- Tyke Bomb
- Villainous Breakdown: When Erebus is about to kill him.
- Would Hurt a Child: Luckily for Lex, this sets off Drykar's Berserk Button and he stops him.
Drykar Veyark
Deckerdramon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Anti-Villain: Type IV
- The Atoner: After barraging that Palaeozoic Sovereignty village and killing Lex's father.
- Berserk Button: Most of the things Tartarus does, but especially when Tartarus shoots at Lex.
- The Conscience: To Ishton.
- Cynicism Catalyst: Drykar reveals to Ishton that his reason for joining the Slayer Legion was to get back at the Rebels for ruthlessly slaughtering his village, which contained his wife and daughter.
- Gentle Giant
- Heel–Face Turn: In the final battle.
- Macross Missile Massacre
- Morality Pet: Lex becomes this too him. Drykar himself was also this, of sorts, to Ishton.
- My God, What Have I Done?: After he destroys a Palaeozoic Sovereignty village.
- Necessarily Evil
- Never Hurt an Innocent: Refuses to attack anybody who isn't a soldier. And he won't even attack Dramon Empire soldiers when they betray them.
- Noble Top Enforcer: To Ishton.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: This was his reason for joining the Slayer Legion. He wants revenge on the Rebels of the Harmonious Republic for what a group of them did to his village, killing his wife and daughter in the process. However, when the campaign goes in a darker direction than what he thought, he starts to have second thoughts.
- Taking You with Me: To Tartarus.
- Token Good Teammate

- Beware the Nice Ones: Big time...
- Catchphrase: "This is how it should be."
- The Chessmaster
- Determinator
- Deuteragonist
- The Extremist Was Right: While not a full on extremist, Duroth did do some arguably questionable things which ended up making the Dramon Empire and the world a better, more peaceful place. Too bad it didn't matter once the events in Dark Reign came about.
- Guile Hero
- Heterosexual Life-Partners/Ho Yay: With Arado. Depending on your opinion
- Hotblooded: While normally composed, he can become quite passionate when he needs to be.
- The Idealist: He's this, but without the naivity.
- Knight in Sour Armour: He's very much aware of what the world is like, but will stop at almost nothing to right its wrongs.
- Manipulative Bastard: A heroic example. Lampshaded by Erebus and Arado.
- Non-Action Guy: Until it's revealed he can definitely defend himself if need be.
- Reasonable Authority Figure
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red to Arado's blue.
- Utopia Justifies the Means: While not a villain, Duroth becomes a bit more morally gray as time goes on. He's willing (though regretfully and reluctantly) to let the Second Battle of the Palaeozoic Sovereignty go on instead of arresting and/or executing Ishton before he can return to his troops, all so that the world sees that the Dramon Empire isn't all bad, as he's trying to create a world without war and prejudice.
- Xanatos Speedchess: His reaction to hearing that Ishton was planning to continue the war that he ended. Also, given the history of the Civil War, he constantly did his best to make the best of a bad situation.
Arado Skrikewing

A councillor of the Dramon Empire and Duroth's closest friend.
Tropes:
- Badass Bureaucrat

- Deadpan Snarker
- Guile Hero
- Honest Advisor
- Non-Action Guy: Until he is appointed Lord Protector and proves that he can hold his own in battle.
- Number Two: To Duroth
- Obfuscating Stupidity: He often uses his natural Deadpan Snarker status to avoid drawing attention to his The Chessmaster capabilities.
- The Political Officer: As Lord Protector, Arado has both a government and military position.
- Reasonable Authority Figure
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Duroth's red.
- The Smart Guy
- Stealth Insult: He's fond of these, particularly at Jormungand's expense.
- The Stoic
Jormungand
Giga Seadramon
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.

A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:

- Smug Snake
Gotungir
UlforceVeedramon X
A general description about the character's personality, motivations, etc.
Tropes:
- Affably Evil: He's not a completely bad guy when it comes down to it.
- Anti-Villain: Type I. This is extremely subjective, though. He's a smug jerk who has no problem aiding in Dramon imperialism, but at the same time, he has a rigid set of morals that he stands by.
- Big Brother Mentor: To Balion. A very strict and stern big brother, though...
- Cynical Mentor: To Balion, who he considers a bratty little rich kid.
- I Gave My Word: In "Strom", he promised Ranney that he wouldn't kill Strom in exchange for Ranney's cooperation in capturing him. He later saves Strom from Daehak because of this.
- Lightning Bruiser: Exceedingly fast and strong.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Noble Demon: While by no means good, Gotungir always keeps his word, evidenced when he made a promise to Ranney that they wouldn't kill Strom during or after his interrogation. Daehak was about to kill Strom, but Gotungir stopped him, using his words to convince his superior otherwise.
