Juicy Kutoure (10th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/juicykutouredrh2promo.png

Age: 24
From: 's-Hertogenbosch, North Brabant

"Bonjour, bonjour, it's Juicy Kutoure; je favoriete hoer!" note

  • High Hopes, Zero Talent: Well, zero is a bit harsh, but her selected skill for the premiere's Talent Show was "posing and looking beautiful" — clearly a moot point in a drag contest. Her sisters strongly support her (it's her first gig), but the judges feel differently and find her performance lacking, ultimately leading to her elimination.
  • Naïve Newcomer: She's a popular social media queen, but has little to no live drag experience, which is why she crashes out early.
  • One Degree of Separation: Juicy is the drag daughter of Miss Abby OMG and Megan Schoonbrood from Drag Race Holland Season 1.
  • Sore Loser: As the first out, Juicy continues what has now become a tradition on Drag Race Holland to read Fred on the way out:
Juicy: Normaal zeg ik 'bonjour', maar vandaag zeg ik 'au revoir'. En Fred, met zo'n groot voorhoofd heb je met elke wig een hoge haarlijn. note
  • Writing Around Trademarks: Her drag name is a very thinly-veiled reference to the fashion brand Juicy Couture, (in)famous for its diamante-encrusted towelling tracksuits favoured by blingy girls the world over.

Reggy B (9th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reggybdrh2promo.png

Age: 25
From: Leidschendam, South Holland

"What's up Season 2? It's Reggy B in your area! How do you like that?"

  • Battle Rapping: For the Talent Show main challenge in the premiere, she performs a rap (somewhat directed at her assembled competitors) that's a diss on any girls who don't take her seriously as a performer.
  • Blooper Reel: When talking about the community, she hilariously stumbles over the order of the (constantly growing) letters that now make up 'LGBTQIA+'.
  • Graceful Loser: She leaves much earlier than she had planned, but uses her exit speech to give heartwarming thanks to Fred, and her fellow queens, handling her elimination with dignity.
  • Handicapped Badass: After Ivy notices a difference in Reggy's hands, she explains she was born with polydactyly (additional fingers and toes) and, after corrective surgery, her parents were told she'd never be able to do physical sports or dance — which she of course proved wrong.
  • One Degree of Separation: Another drag daughter of Miss Abby OMG.
  • Reality Show Genre Blindness: Following a fairly flat Windy Cycling Photoshoot mini-challenge, she comes thoroughly unstuck for the sewing-based main challenge — sewing a garment and handbag using unconventional materials — and is eliminated following a lip-sync battle against Ivy-Elyse.
  • Whole Costume Reference: Reggy was sadly eliminated prior to the Monster's Ball challenge, but shared her look on social media; an awesome Hybrid Monster of both Belle and The Beast from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Love Masisi (8th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lovemasisidrh2promo.png

Age: 43
From: Amsterdam, North Holland

"Is that an eggplant in your pocket, or are you just gagging at my extravaganza?!"

  • Appropriated Appellation: "Masisi" is a homophobic slur in her native Haitian Creole.
  • Bad Impressionists: For the Snatch Game, she portrays Grace Jones, and given that she has a look of her already, as Fred notes, this should have been a shoe-in. However, despite looking great, Love Masisi simply repeats the lyric "slave to the rhythm" from Jones' most iconic song over and over....and over, which just comes across as awkward in the end. Ultimately, her flat performance puts her in the bottom and after being bested by Ivy-Elyse in the lip sync, she is sent home in one of the most emotional goodbyes yet seen on the Dutch series.
  • Big Applesauce: Used to be live and work in New York City before moving to Amsterdam.
  • Gratuitous English: Born in Haiti, grown up in New York, and now living in Amsterdam, Love Masisi definitely seems more comfortable speaking in English than Dutch on her short tenure on the show.
  • Her Own Worst Enemy: She never really gets out of her own head in the early stages of the competition, and her lack of self-belief sabotages her chances.
  • "I Am" Song: For the Talent Show challenge in the premiere, she performs "Speed Limit", an upbeat, original song written by her especially for the occasion.
  • Iconic Item: Love Masisi is known in the Dutch drag scene for her costumes featuring massive inflatables, which she shows off by entering the Werk Room accompanied by two massive inflatable eggplants.
  • One Degree of Separation: Her drag mother is none other than Vivacious from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6.
  • The Quiet One: After performing, she prefers to take herself away to a quiet corner away from distractions and beaver away at the task in hand, rarely interacting with the other girls.
  • Whole Costume Reference: For the Monsters Ball runway of episode 3, she portrays the female Gremlin, Greta, from Gremlins 2: The New Batch. The look is very accurate, but as her mask completely covers her face, she's less able to express character, which lands her in the bottom.

Ivy-Elyse Monroe (7th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ivy_elysedrh2promo.png

Age: 35
From: Amsterdam, North Holland

"You poor, unfortunate soul! A new fabulous mermaid has arrived."

  • Bad Impressionists: For the Snatch Game, she portrays singer Cardi B, and as is often the case when queens portray one-note celebrities, her performance is just attention-seeking ranting, lacking any humour whatsoever, and landing her in the bottom.
  • Due to the Dead: 'Ivy' was going to be the name of her older sister, whom her mother miscarried after slipping on black ice.
  • Fish People: For the Monsters Ball runway of episode 3, she portrays an anglerfish-inspired, deep-sea demonic being with grotesque protruding teeth — juxtaposed in a nice black ball-gown.
  • One Degree of Separation: She's the drag sister of Envy Peru and Miss Abby OMG, respectively winner and second runner-up of the first season of Drag Race Holland, and they are co-founders of their house "The Mermaid Mansion".
  • Only One Name: Well double-barreled in this instance, but her full drag name is Ivy-Elyse Monroe. She is called by her full name several times on the show, but it's never made clear as to why she is only billed as "Ivy-Elyse".
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: She paints stunning face, and her drag transformation is amongst the season's most dramatic.

The Countess (6th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thecountessdrh2promo.png

Age: 21
From: Middelburg, Zeeland

"If eyes linger any longer, I'll have to charge rent."

  • Ascended Extra: In season 1 she served as Fred's make-up artist, a task now taken up by Miss Envy Peru.
  • Big Ego, Hidden Depths: She can be a haughty, raging snob, but she describes this as being a persona she uses as a mask of perfection to hide her inner insecurities.
  • Be Yourself: She uses the Statements runway in episode 4 to present a message about learning to break free of the past, with its associated boundaries, and ultimately embrace self-acceptance.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Low-fi fizzles between her and Vivaldi, and during one banterous exchange, she quips "no sex for you tonight", to the intrigue of the other girls.
  • Blue Blood: Invoked for her haughty drag persona. Her drag name is a rank appearing throughout the European peerage — in Dutch, it's equivalent is 'Gravin', which Fred occasionally calls her.
  • Dressed Like a Dominatrix: The usually demure Countess seriously spices things up for the Nightlife Extravaganza runway in a latex-look complete with bullwhip.
  • Effeminate Voice: Her vocal tone is of a far higher pitch than her fellow queens.
  • Elegant Classical Musician: In keeping with her aristocratic schtick, she shows herself to be a highly skilled pianist in the Talent Show section of the premiere.
  • Proud Beauty: Her default tone is fatigued superiority, she's something of a snob, and is one of the more glamorously poised of the assembled queens.
  • Recursive Crossdressing: She portrays the legendarily opulent French king, Louis XIV for the Snatch Game, and whilst her look is good, she lacks any humour.
  • Rich Bitch: Her drag (and real life) persona is that of a haughty, expensive beauty who just loves designer labels and looks down her nose at less glamorously-inclined queens. Her entrance look is an exquisite canary-yellow gown and she looks every inch a countess. Out of drag, she's prissy, pretentious, and has something of a Sissy Villain vibe, though she admits that some of this schtick forms part of a persona she adapts to mask her own self-doubt.
  • Sucks at Dancing: Both times she has to lip-sync — first to the rocky "Free Your Mind" by En Vogue and then to RuPaul's own club classic "Call Me Mother" — she just.....sashays about, looking beautiful of course, but showing no difference between each performance and in no way capturing the spirit of the songs in question, which ultimately leads to her elimination.
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: For week 2's Glamping Couture sewing challenge, she crafts a beautifully editorial look out of fake grass and an inflatable crocodile (of all things) which, combined with her spot-on makeup and cute pageboy hair, deservedly snatches her the win.
  • Whole Costume Reference: Her Monsters Ball runway in episode 3 is a dragged-up, fashion editorial take on Beetlejuice from the eponymous movie.

Tabitha (5th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tabithadrh2promo.png

Age: 46
From: Utrecht, Province of Utrecht

"Hi Drag Racers, I'm here- and may the best drag queen slip!" *throws pearls on the floor*

  • Big Beautiful Woman: The curviest queen of Season 2. She uses the Statements runway in episode 4 to present an anti body-shaming message.
  • Camp Of all the queens in Season 2, she most closely embodies classically camp drag style.
  • Disappeared Dad: The usually bombastic Tabitha completely breaks down when her little sister arrives for the Family Resemblance makeover challenge, due to the fact that their father abandoned the family when Tabitha revealed her sexuality.
  • Mating Dance: For the Talent Show challenge in the premiere, she performs a flirty, comedy salsa routine but gives her dance partner the brush off so she can take centre stage as her act concludes.
  • Multi Boobage: For the Nightlife Extravaganza runway in the premiere, she sports a comedy look that's literally made out of boobs.
  • Nice Girl: Holland Season 2's Miss Congeniality.
  • One Degree of Separation: Along with fellow competitor Vanessa van Cartier, she's Drag Race Holland Season 1 winner Envy Peru's drag mother.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: For the Snatch Game, she portrays Dutch adult film actress Kim Holland with unflinching vulgarity, and scores high for her efforts.
  • Too Qualified to Apply: Semi-seriously accuses Vanessa of this, stating that as she's an actual woman, with breasts and no requirement to tuck, she has an unfair advantage. It's playfully put, but as an old-school queen, she also clearly means it too.
  • You Say Tomato: The Dutch pronunciation of "Tabitha" is "Ta-BEE-tuh", and not the English "TAB-ih-thuh".

Keta Minaj (4th)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ketaminajdrh2promo.png

Age: 40
From: Amsterdam, North Holland

"I'm very special, 'kay?"

  • Amazonian Beauty: She's ripped, lending her drag a powerful, glamazon vibe.
  • Impossibly Awesome Magic Trick: For the Talent Show in the premiere, her selected skill is "magic", and she expertly performs a place-switching trick with her assistant that has Fred (who normally hates magic) absolutely gagging. Combined with a badass Club Kid Nightlife Extravaganza runway, she deservedly wins the first week.
  • One Degree of Separation: Unlike most of the rest of the cast who have connections to Holland season 1, Keta and My Little Puny are drag sisters and former romantic partners.
  • Our Demons Are Different: For the Monsters Ball runway, she portrays a classic horned demon, but in her case, the demon has begun tearing off its own hide, leaving angry-looking patches of exposed muscle and tissue, in order to create a fur gown. The judges love it, and combined with her outrageous Snatch Game, she and Vivaldi (also excellent) snatch a double win.
  • Punny Name: The second Drag Race queen featured in 2021 to name themselves after ketamine, following Down Under's Kita Mean.
  • Reluctant Psycho: Invoked when she uses the Statements runway in episode 4 to present a message on the importance of mental health awareness, via a straight-jacketed, Ax-Crazy performance.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: For the Snatch Game, she portrays British porn actress and LGBTQI+ ally Sophie "Cock Destroyer" Anderson. Not only does she nail Anderson's London accent and boobs, but she's also so unbelievably graphic (including greeting Fred with a high-pitched queef, firing a mini-football out of her vadge, and emerging from under the counter with a mouth dripping with what looks like jizz) that the judges can't help themselves but declare it a triumph.
  • Shout-Out: Her look for the Netherlands-themed Double Dutch runway is a tribute the Dutch master, Rembrandt, whose specialism in the depiction of lacework she twists up to also celebrate the Netherlands' steel industry.

Vivaldi (3rd)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vivaldidrh2promo.png

Age: 22
From: Enschede, Overijssel

"I've got some tricks up my sleeve."

  • Ascended Extra: She styled wigs for not only Fred in season 1, but also Envy Peru and Madame Madness.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Low-fi fizzles between her and The Countess, sometimes referring to each other as their lesbian lover, and during one banterous exchange, the Countess quips "no sex for you tonight", to the intrigue of the other girls.
  • Biting-the-Hand Humor: For the Snatch Game she takes a huge risk portraying Season 1 judge and Fred's best mate, Nikkie Plessen, but her look, mannerisms, and comedically stilted tone of voice (a spot-on exaggeration of Plessen's own nasal, slightly robotic delivery) are a perfect match, and she goes on the share a double win with Keta.
  • Burlesque: Her selected skill for the premiere's Talent Show is a comedy burlesque routine with a seemingly never-ending flourish.
  • Can't Get Away with Nuthin': When Vanessa feels Vivaldi has slighted her after her headpiece falls off during the Koffee Meid challenge, Vanessa reveals to the cast and crew she knows Vivaldi has a contraband cellphone in her hotel room. It gets brought up on the runway the next day, and Vivaldi admits to having the cellphone, which all of her remaining competitors say should be a factor in her immediate disqualification. Despite her impressive outfits in the Opposites Attract runway and her track record thus far, her cheating puts her in the bottom and in the Lip Sync For Your Life against Tabitha to guest judge Merol's "Lekker met de Meiden".note  However, this is enough to save her from elimination, sending Tabitha home instead.
  • The Cynic: She admits to wearing Jade-Coloured Glasses and having a weary, cynical world view, though whilst she presents as unemotional (and is accused as such by Vanessa), she explains it's a mask to hide the waves of depression she experiences.
  • Fish People: Her brilliant Monster's Ball runway is themed around thalassophobia, and as such, she creates a demonic looking sahuagin-style look that helps her snatch a double-win with Keta.
  • Nature Hero: She uses the Statements runway in episode 4 to present an environmental, anti-deforestation message, in a blood-spattered look that suggests a ravaged, burned forest.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Her look for the Netherlands-themed Double Dutch runway is a psychedelic ensemble, complete with a stole constructed from CDs, inspired by the cheesy Dutch dance music-meisters, the Vengaboys.
    • Her Best Drag look for the finale runway is a wild, asymmetric look (complete with one missing heel) inspired by the surrealist works of Spanish artist, Salvador Dalí
  • Spirited Competitor: She's young (just 22 at the time of filming) but is easily the least phased queen in the premiere, and literally can't wait to compete.
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: She sews almost all of her own outfits, and also runs her own wig business, Vivaldified.
  • Translation Train Wreck: Claims she chose her drag name after using Google Translate on "Gaga" into Latin. How that ended up at "Vivaldi" is anyone's guess.

My Little Puny (2nd)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mylittlepunydrh2promo.png

Age: 38
From: Amsterdam, North Holland

"We all came out of a puny."

  • Club Kid: Serves 'Club Clit' realness inspired by Leigh Bowery for the Nightlife Extravaganza runway in the premiere.
  • Dedication: For the Roots family makeover runway, she and her sister sport matching outfits patterned with the drawings created by their late father, the cartoonist Eric Schreurs.
  • Drugs Are Bad: She uses the Statements runway in episode 4 as an opportunity to present a message on the dangers of addiction, including smashing a beer-bottle as she enters the main-stage and an outfit incorporating details of smashed green glass throughout. The infamously blunt Fred loves it, labelling it a perfect look.
  • Family-Friendly Stripper: She performs a fierce pole-dancing routine for the Talent Show in the premiere, though keeps it PG-13.
  • Frozen Face: For the Snatch Game, she portrays a tremoring, pigeon shit-covered Marijke Helwegen, a Dutch TV personality known in the Netherlands as "The Queen of Plastic Surgery".
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Tabitha outright tells Puny that she's her type, as does Vanessa, which she takes with polite good humour, saying she doesn't mind being thought of as the 'Trade of the Season'.
  • One Degree of Separation: Unlike most of the rest of the cast who have connections to Holland season 1, Puny and Keta Minaj are drag sisters and former romantic partners.
  • Punny Name: Her drag name mixes My Little Pony and the word "punani".
  • Shout-Out: Her look for the Netherlands-themed Double Dutch runway is a Sleepy Head-themed look patterned after the nation's famous blue and white Delft ceramics.
  • Spider People: For the Monsters Ball runway of episode 3, she creates a cool, Lolth-inspired look, but the judges find it a little flat compared to her competitors' efforts.

Vanessa van Cartier (winner)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vanessavancartierdrh2promo.png

Age: 41
From: Zele, East Flanders, Belgium

"Buongiorno, principesse.note  The queen has arrived."

  • Berserk Button: Vanessa is sensitive when it comes to her real hairline, and when out of drag and not in a wig wears a headband or hat to hide it. During the Koffee Meid challenge in episode 6, she loses her character's turban revealing her own hair underneath, and gets upset that it was revealed. Vivaldi's perceived arrogant response to Vanessa's very emotional response starts a chain reaction that leads to a fight between the two in the Werk Room after the challenge, where Vanessa reveals she knows Vivaldi has a cellphone in her hotel room, against the competition's contractual rules.
  • Caged Bird Metaphor: For the Talent Show challenge in the premiere, she devises an empowering, melancholy performance art piece centred around her struggles with being a trans woman. Initially, she appears on-stage trapped in a large cage, unable to pick up a beautiful rose that lies just beyond her reach, before finally breaking free.
  • Drama Queen: She's a sensitive soul, and flares up easily over back-chat or critiquing, so not for nothing does she win the "Drama" award when portrayed by Keta in the Miss Match mini-challenge.
  • Driven to Suicide: During the Opposites Attract runway, she portrayed herself as Death and then Life, performing the "Life" persona pushing away her "Death" persona. During judging, she reveals this part of the act was to signify that 3 years prior, she had contemplated suicide after losing her livelihood as a drag queen following her transition, and now would never consider killing herself again.
  • Experienced Protagonist: At the time of filming, Vanessa was the reigning Miss Continental, a prestigious American drag beauty pageant, which is further impressive as she is Belgian.
  • Fairytale Motifs: She's delighted to be cast as the lead, Cinderella, in the Cinderulla: The Rusical challenge, stating that her life-story, including starting out as a cleaner, has parallels with the classic tale.
  • Glass Cannon: She's accused of being one by Vivaldi during their massive blow-up in episode 6, who states that Vanessa's quite happy to grandly dish out criticism, but erupts with emotion and overreaction when it comes back to her — which, in practise, is not far from the truth.
  • The High Queen: For the Snatch Game, she portrays Belgium's famously dignified Queen Mathilde, though given her subject's stately persona, there's not much humour to be had without resorting to crazily exaggerated parody, which she doesn't attempt.
  • Important Haircut: For the finale runway, she comes out in a head-to-toe gold lamé outfit, and we mean head-to-toe. Prior to the runway she shaved her head bald and covered it with a mix of gold makeup and actual gold leaf. She reveals to the judges her insecurity about her hair and her still post-transition male pattern baldness, so she decided to shave it all off for the finale as an act of freeing expression.
  • One Degree of Separation: Along with fellow competitor Tabitha, she's Drag Race Holland Season 1 winner Envy Peru's drag mother.
  • Shout-Out: Her drag surname is a nod to Whoopi Goldberg's character Dolores van Cartier from the Sister Act film series.
  • Wearing a Flag on Your Head: She proudly displays her identity, having experienced discrimination in the drag scene for being a trans woman, and uses it as the inspiration for her Statements on the Runway look by presenting a gown in the colors of the Trans Pride Flag.
  • Whole Costume Reference: For her first look for the Netherlands-themed Double Dutch runway, she portrays the adorable bunny Miffywith a spliffy.
  • Xenomorph Xerox: For the Monsters Ball runway of episode 3, she portrays a terrifying white-skinned alien being, covered in the blood of an unfortunate human whose severed ''head'' she uses as a handbag.
