Allen cannot drop a tear for one of his first friends, <- comma which
when he tells the young Allen that he could not cry

Changed "told" to "tells" as per How to Write an Example - Write in Historical Present Tense.

Allen makes a quiet smile, apparently planning revenge.

I'm just guessing on the "searching -> planning" change.

Sorry for spamming but I realized this was common knowledge for

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/DevilMayCry

He Really Can Act: While Dante had many actors, Reuben Langdon has been described as the best one. Same can be said for Johnny Yong Bosch as Nero although it could be argued that Bosch was far more experienced as an actor than Langdon.

I still can't add it, so I would appreciate it if somebody added this to the YMMV

I'm not if this counts but at least Langdon's work could be used as another trope considering he was not a very skilled actor when debuting as Dante in Devil May Cry 3.

Moral Guardians: Real Life

  • In Brazil, year 2003, brazilian TV show host Gilberto Barros made some TV reports about the card game Yu-Gi-Oh!, explicitly claiming the game was satanic and calling it the "Devil's Card Game" and also included Magic: The Gathering in his reports, on June 5, 2003, he dedicated his whole timeslot to that subject, and the next day, thousands of children across Brazil had their cards confiscated, torn apart or burned by worried parents and teachers, he kept doing similar reports on videogames as well, like Carmageddon, recently, he said he was sorry for that and only did it for the ratings, but only when he was not on TV anymore and working on radio, there is no footage of those reports on the internet however.

I made a few corrections, but maybe I still need to do more.

Okay a somewhat long one for Franchise Original Sin:

  • Some of the biggest complaints that fans have with Planet Sheen, can be traced back to the The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius:
    • Many fans complained about Sheen’s new characterisation, Character Exaggeration led to him becoming incredibly selfish, obnoxious and uncaring towards his friends. These numerous flaws made it hard for audiences to root or sympathise with him as the protagonist. In the original series Jimmy himself had a quite abrasive personality being smug, somewhat lazy, opinionated and selfish. However, Jimmy still possessed enough redeeming and sympathetic traits such as his bravery, loyalty and compassion that audiences could look past this. Likewise he often had to pay for his mistakes. All together this made him a more relatable and deep character. Sheen on the other hand not only never had to bare blunt of his flaws, always getting away totally scot free regardless of the damage he caused, but also lost all his redeeming traits save a shallow friendliness making him come across as a purely self-centred jerk.
    • Sheen newfound extreme arrogance in particular was called out by many fans as making the character to unlikable. In all his appearances Jimmy was also incredibly arrogant, with him regularly acting like he was smartest man in the world and always knew what was best. However, from the original movie Jimmy pride was always presented as his Fatal Flaw with him ignoring other people’s warnings often causing his problems and him regularly being forced to admit he was wrong and needed others help. Likewise, Jimmy was well a boy genius capable of casually building revolutionary technology, whilst living in a town full of gullible and foolish people, thus him believing he was smarter than everyone else was somewhat understandable if not accurate. Sheen meanwhile was constantly portrayed as a complete idiot who often made things worse than he found them, yet still acted like he knew what was best. Thus he would regularly ignore everyone’s warnings and do things which were incredibly stupid, then blame them for not telling him when things went wrong.
    • One complaint that many fans bring up is that Sheen often causes the very problems of the episode. This in turn was a regular plot from the start with many problems stemming from Jimmy’s arrogance or mistakes. In the movie its Jimmy’s space beacon that leads to all the parents being kidnapped by the Yokieans, and a recurring plot for the series was his inventions going wrong and causing misery for himself and others. It worked here as Jimmy would always work tirelessly to undo the damage he had caused and was regularly called out for it (to the point that it was almost a recurring joke that his many mishaps had made unpopular with the town). Sheen meanwhile often brought misery upon others through his sheer stupidity, arrogance or refusal to listen to common sense, then would come out on top due to the efforts of others or sheer dumb luck, afterwards he would refuse to take any responsibility for his actions and yet was still celebrated as a hero. Whilst this was intended to be for laughs, it instead made the viewers dislike Sheen even more.

The first sentence was two sentences joined by a comma splice.

Sheen's newfound extreme arrogance in particular was called out by many fans as making the character too unlikable. In all his appearances Jimmy was also incredibly arrogant, with him regularly acting like he was the smartest man in the world and always knew what was best. The second to last sentence "Sheen meanwhile..." was made up of two sentences joined by a comma splice.

You have some problems with commas. You might want to read the The Other Wiki section on Comma uses in English to learn when you use a comma and when you don't.

(late) correction of both posts

Level 2, known as "Wild Beast Hell", is filled with dangerous monsters that will chase and eat every prisoner they encounter. The monsters in question are:

  • The Sphinx: A large lion-like creature with a human face and feathers. It's the strongest monster of the level, and is tough enough to destroy the floor under him.
  • The Basilisk: A big chicken with a reptilian face and a constantly hungry expression.
  • The Chimeras: Lions with human faces. Ferocious creatures who devour even the prey's bones. They can even speak human language, but not understand it. They therefore simply repeat random words they hear from the prisoners.
  • The puzzle scorpions: Giant poisonous scorpions which can combine themselves to become a giant centipede.

  • Basilisk and Cockatrice: The second strongest monster is a large basilisk (that, ironically, looks more like a cockatrice). However, he doesn't have the petrifying gaze.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: No one of them looks remotely scary (save the Basilisk, and even then he looks more crazy than intimidating), yet they are all strong monsters.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: The puzzle scorpions. While they don't look scary, they're actually quite big and dangerous, and, if combined, they become an even larger centipede.
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu: There are many chimeras and puzzle scorpions, but are all small fries for Luffy. The basilisk and the sphinx, on the other hand, are quite tougher opponents, and there is only one of each of them.
  • Gonk: Each manticore has a different human face, but every single one is... goofy.
  • Mooks: At least for Luffy, the chimeras are easy to deal with. Not so much for Buggy and the level 1 and 2 prisoners.
  • Riddling Sphinx: The boss of level 2 is a sphinx, but it doesn't make any riddles since it can only repeat random words it hears from the prisoners.
  • Scary Scorpions: The puzzle scorpions. Despite their appearance, they're actu<lly deadly poisonous and can combine themselves together to become a giant centipede.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: The basilisk keeps chasing Luffy and Buggy for a long while until he's stopped by Luffy's gear third punch.

and the second post

A description for Impel Down

Also known as the "Underwater Prison" or the "Great Prison", Impel Down is the World Government's prison for all kinds of criminals and pirates. Imagine a fusion between Alcatraz and the "Inferno" of The Divine Comedy and you get the idea.

The prison is divided into six levels. The higher the level, the higher the bounties of the prisoners kept inside, and on each level there is a different kind of torture:

Level 1: Crimson Hell: The prisoners are forced to run from the guards and the blue gorillas through a forest made of trees with leaves as sharp as razors. For this reason, the leaves, stained by the prisoners' blood, appear red. If one wants to avoid the torture, there's a giant hole that leads to level 2. Buggy used to be in this level, and avoided torture thanks to his devil fruit.

Level 2: Wild Beast Hell: The halls are inhabited by dangerous beasts like chimeras, giant scorpions and a basilisk who chase and devour any prisoner they enconter, while a large sphinx guards the exit. For this reason, the prisoners prefer to stay in the jails. Buggy says that all the prisoners from this level have a bounty higher than his (15 million berries).

Level 3: Starvation Hell: This level is hot and has a desert-like terrain, while the prisoners are kept in a near death state, fed just enough water and food to keep them from starving. All the criminals with a bounty higher than 50 million berries are kept here. Benthan also used to be there despite having a bounty of 32 million.

Level 4: Blazing Hell: This level is even hotter than level 3 (whose heat in fact comes from the level below) due to the presence of a large pool with boiling blood. There the prisoners are constantly working supplying wood logs in the pool or under torture. Daz Bones used to be kept in this level.

Level 5: Freezing Hell: In contrast to the level above, this one is a desolate tundra where prisoners either die because of the freezing cold (which is so intense the prisoners lose pieces of their bodies due to frostbites) or starvation (due to the food becoming frozen and inedible). In this level there is also the wolf unit, that has been moved from level 2 to level 5 because the wolves used to hunt down and eat the other beasts! Criminals with a bounty higher than 100 million are kept here, and Magellan sends Luffy here after having captured him.

Level 5.5 : Newkama Land: Not an actual level but a hidden and secret sublevel carved long ago. It's inhabitated by okamas and ruled by "Queen" Ivankov. After the latter escapes with Luffy, Bentham becomes the new "Queen".

Level 6: Eternal Hell: The lowest level, reserved exclusively for criminals so strong and/or dangerous that they are basically "erased" from history, to the point that even this level's existence is considered a legend. The prisoners are fed and left alone, letting them die out of boredom, like Shiki who, after a while, was almost Driven to Suicide. Ace used to be here before being moved for his execution. Jinbe, Crocodile and some of the new Blackbeard Pirates used to be here too. After his defeat and capture, Doflamingo is being kept here.

For the Wolf Unit

A pack of vicious wolves that reside in level 5. It used to be in level 2 but, since the wolves are so voracious that they used to prey on the other beasts too, it has been moved.

  • Ax-Crazy: As if their constant expression isn't enough, these are voracious predators that would hunt anything.
  • Maniac Tongue: Just to show how deranged they are, their tongues are constantly sticking out.
  • Savage Wolves: So savages that not even chimeras are safe from these guys.
  • White Wolves Are Special: Inverted. These wolves are white (probably as an adaptation to Level 5's cold climate) and are the most dangerous and vicious beasts of Impel Down.

Also, this trope for Mr. 1

  • Nerves of Steel: Despite all the heavy work and torture he goes through while a prisoner in Impel Down, he's completely unfazed.

Edit: One for Luffy:

  • Brutal Honesty: There are definetely more tactful ways to inform Tama that Ace is dead rather than bluntly telling her that.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Tengoyama Hitetsu is pissed at Luffy's blunt way of informing Tama about Ace's death, especially because it sent the kid into an Heroic BSoD. Later, even Tama calls him out on this.

for Tama

  • Damsel in Distress: When Luffy meets her, she's captured by some of Kaido's goons.
  • Ms.Exposition: Since she's native to Wano, she tells Luffy some details about the country.
  • Pauper Patches: To show how poor she is, her kimono is patched.
  • Tagalong Kid: Follows Luffy in his adventure in Wano.

for Tengo

  • Mr. Exposition: He explain to Luffy Tama's history and the country's situation under Kaido.
  • Papa Wolf: Although not her father, he's the one taking care of Tama, and is very protective of her, like when he kicks Luffy for having eaten her rice that she can eat only twice a year.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Calls out Luffy for telling Tama that Ace is dead in the bluntest way possible.

I'm back again, now time to proofread the page that I recently created: Zannen Jokanbu Black General San and here it is. The main description is here:

The story follows the misadventures and wacky hijinks of Miss Black General is one of the executives of a villainous organization called RX, an organization that aims for World Domination. However, she also has an interesting personality that hinders her plans on having World Domination: Having a huge crush on her favorite hero and essentially being the number one fan of said hero, Brave Man, a hero who tries to foil RX's evil schemes and supposed to be Black General's enemy. However, anytime Brave Man commits an heroic act and tries to prevent Black General's schemes, the latter mistakes his actions as a form of flirtation, much to Black Man's disappointment. How the Black General will conquer the world if she can't conquer her true feelings towards her number one hero.

The manga is written by Jin (Mugenjin) and published and serialized by Dragon Age. It also has an alternative name called Zannen Onna Kanbu Black General-san or in English means: Precarious Woman Executive Miss Black General. It currently has 46 chapters.

And here are the main tropes:

  • Accidental Pervert: When trying to fight against the Black General, Brave Man accidentally performs lecherous acts such as touching her boobs or stripping her clothes which resulted him getting shocked at it.
  • Beach Episode: Chapter 28 and 29 puts an emphasis on this. As both chapters is an event that was set on summer and both chapters has an appropriate title: "Even a Secret Organization Wants to Go On Vacation" and "Summer Hero Special" respectively and both heroes and villains goes to the beach.
  • Berserk Button:
    • The General is a walking berserk button for Braveman. Though it's more of an annoyance than anything.
    • The Boss's incompetence is the thing that getting on the Secretary nerves to the point that she tries to shoot him with her explosive powers more than once to teach him a lesson.
  • Butt-Monkey:
    • The Boss always is a Sore Loser otaku who always got shot by the Secretary with her explosive powers thanks to either his incompetence or him doing things that annoys the Secretary such as lying to her about his action figure getting broken so that the Secretary could do some chores for him.
    • Braveman is also this. As he always getting stalked by the Black General who is essentially the number one fan and he's just want to have a regular superhero fight against the villains. Not only that, in real life, he is mistaken either as a molester or a pedophile by the police thanks to his own scary face.
  • Cute Monster Girl: GG, the cockroach girl, is this as she is a clumsy and a rather timid and shy cockroach girl.
  • Dark Action Girl: The Black General and the cockroach girl, GG, and the Secretary are this. As they are work for the villainous organization called RX who is bent on World Domination. However, the most active member as for now is the Black General herself.
  • Expy:
    • Word of God says that Braveman is the expy of the famous superhero of DC Comics, Batman. Which makes sense in context.
    • The Black General is probably an expy of Esdeath from Akame ga Kill!. As they both tried to stalk the heroes and mistaken their hatred for love, both of them wear a military outfit, both of them had huge boobs and both of them are a villain. Although the Black General is essentially the much more idiotic version and a less villainous and powerful version of Esdeath herself.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villains: Most of the members of the RX organization are essentially this. Including the Boss and the Black General. The former being a loser otaku who always been targeted by the Secretary's anger due to his stupidity that irritates her. While the general herself is a Stalker with a Crush who tries to woo Brave Man which ended up getting her defeated by the Brave Man most of the time. Although they're lack the financial stability and incompetency to achieve World Domination, the Hero Squad raises the threat for them after they defeated their heroes out of sheer luck rather than being competent on their actions.
  • Harmless Villains: A lot of RX members are these because of their sheer incompetence for taking over the world. Though they're stepping forward a little bit into Not So Harmless Villains. Though it's more of a sheer luck rather than anything else.
  • Mad Scientist: The nameless scientist who works for the RX organization. She is also responsible for creating the devices and monsters for helping RX to achieve World Domination even though sometimes her invention is rather unsuccessful.
  • Only Sane Man: Braveman and the Secretary are the only sanest people of this wacky manga. As the former have to endure the stupidity that most of the RX groups had, including the Black General, and just wanted to have a serious fight. While the latter is the only sane man of the RX group because she tries to take her job seriously and sometimes getting irritated by the Boss's incompetence.
  • No Name Given: As of Chapter 46, nobody knows the real name of Black General, the Scientist, the Secretary and the Boss.
  • Stalker with a Crush: The Black General has an unhealthy obsession towards the main hero, Brave Man. Much to the latter's disappointment.
  • The Stoic: Most of the time, the Secretary puts a very stoic expression. However, when got triggered by something, she becomes Not So Stoic and use her explosion powers to eliminate someone who triggers her especially her boss who is the worst offender of this.

Here's another additional tropes for the Devils' Line page before I gave them some wick/entry pimps at a later time:

  • The Bartender: A guy called Toshiro Sakaki runs a bar where the F Squad mostly spend their time at.
  • Berserk Button:
    • With the exception of Hans Lee who can control his blood pressure, the Half-Devil will went berserk after they saw a human blood which could harm most of the people around them.
  • Bishōnen: Hans Lee is a charming and a handsome young fellow with a long white hair.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing:
    • Keiji Ochiai is an affable, friendly and considerate teacher during the day. However, he is a vicious serial rapist during the night as he tries to rape Tsukasa for satisfying his own lust.
  • Childhood Friends: Yuuki Anzai is friends with Yuuko Tamaru and Tadaya Hiruta who were raised at the same ONLO Orphanage.
  • Cool Mask: The mask that Anzai wore so that it could suppress his lust with blood. Needless to say, it almost looks like a regular gas mask or the mask which Doctrine Dark wore.
  • Ephebophile: Tsukasa's professor, Keiji, seems to take interest with adolescent women such as Tsukasa in a very creepy way.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Unlike any other devils who has an eye bag due to not drinking any blood from other people, Megumi Ishimaru's eyes is just a regular bag-eyes from sleep deprivation after reading so many mangas and books at night without any rest.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After Keiji tries to rape Tsukasa, he got beaten by Anzai after seeing Tsukasa's blood, getting fired from his position, his wife divorced him and lastly, one of the students leaks his personal information which ruin his reputation. However, when he become a Devil Extremist to seek vengeance towards Anzai, he become a bit of a Karma Houdini.
  • The Mole: The current leader of the F Squad, Megumi Ishimaru, is revealed to be Jason from the Devil Extermination Organization called CCC. However, he is also the mole for CCC as the purpose of him joining the organization is just to gather intel.
  • Otaku: It was revealed that the current leader of F Squad, Megumi Ishimaru, loves to staying up all night to read manga and other books, which resulted him in a sleep deprivation and having a droopy eyes and heavy dark circles under his eyes.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Needless to say, many people didn't like what Ochiai has done after tries to raping Tsukasa by force. He got fired from his position, his wife divorced him and one of his students leaks his personal information on internet which ruined his reputation.
  • Serial Killer: Tamaki Anzai is considered to be one of the most dangerous devils in the history as he kills more than 15 people when he lost his control of himself.
  • Serial Rapist: Ochiai is implied to have multiple relationship with his students and he tries to rape Tsukasa to satisfying his own lust despite being married and have two children.
  • Sinister Minister: The ministry of health, labor and a Welfare Parliament Secretary, Kaname Shirase, is revealed to be the one who funds the anti-devil organization, CCC, and becoming a member of it with a codename of 01/Zero One.
  • The Stoic:
    • Megumi Ishimaru is a bit calm, apathetic and eccentric towards the people he come across and he only use his deadpan face as his default expression most of the time.
    • May also applied to Anzai who is mostly calm and collected all the time. However, he will step into the Not So Stoic territory when Tsukasa is getting attacked by someone or him seeing a blood like most of the vampires.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: A lot of people, including the one in the ONLO organization such as Midori Anzai, does express some sympathy for them as most of them having an even worse life after the Ikebukuro incident to the point that the humans wanted to eradicate all of them from the society. A CCC member called Naoya Ushio also sympathize with the devils in his own twisted way by exterminate all of them because he felt that humans and devils can't coexist together. May also apply with Tsukasa as she tries to understand their pain and suffering due to her strengthening relationship with Anzai.
  • Token Minority:
    • Hans Lee is pretty much this as he is a bit of a foreigner who helps Anzai and Tsukasa from trouble despite being raised in Japan. As he is the child of a Chinese Devil Mother and a German human father.
    • May also apply to the bartender, Toshiro Sakaki, as he is the only black character that appears in both anime and manga. Which makes sense as he was born by an American mother and a Japanese father.

for Tama

  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. She has the same name of a sphinx in Whitebeard's hometown.

for Eneru's priests in general

for Satori

One of god Enel's four priests. He runs the Ordeal of Balls, which has a survival rate of 10%. In his ordeals the area is filled with "Surprise Balls" (Bikkirutama) which, while all identical, each has a different trap, from an explosion to a giant crab.

He's a playful and sadistic man who enjoys seeing his victim going through his ordeal, but quickly panic when something goes wrong. He mainly fights through the various traps inside his Surprise Balls, but also wears a couple of impact Dials in his gloves. Aside of that, he's probably the weakest priest combat-wise and is the least trained in mantra.

He has two younger brothers, Otori and Kotori, who looks alot like him.

  • Acrofatic: Despite his round body and short limbs, he can swing in the Upper Yard forest quite easily.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: After bragging his status as priest and the punishment for beating him, he begs Sanji mercy right before receiving a kick on the head.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: The guy who runs the "Ordeal of Balls" has a body as round as a ball.
  • Attack Reflector: His gloves have a pair of Impact Dials, which absord and then reflect every damage.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Luffy and Sanji underestimates him because of his carefree attitude, and he proves to be a dangerous opponent.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: Wears a pair of yellow-shaded glasses and enjoy the sight of the victim fighting to survive his ordeal. It gest broken after Sanji kicks him.
  • Large Ham: His cheerful and carefree behaviour, combined with his near-constant dances, make him quite the presence.
  • Nonchalant Dodge: Thanks to Mantra, he easily dodges multiple attacks from Luffy, even a Gomu Gomu no Gatling.
  • Oh, Crap!: He panics once Luffy gets the trick behind his "Tama Dragon", followed by an even bigger one when Luffy stops him and is about to be defeated by Sanji.
  • Perpetual Smiler: He constantly has a smug and childish smile, until Luffy catches him.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He hops and dances while sadistically enjoying Luffy, Sanji and Usopp fighting for their lives against his traps.
  • Signature Laugh: Like many characters, he has a unique laughing style: Ho, ho hooo!
  • Trap Master: He doesn't directly fight his enemies but prefers facing them using his countless Surprise Balls, each with a completely different kind of trap.

  • Best Boss Ever: Vergil in every single game he appears. He might be Dante's identical twin, but his moves are completely different and defeating him requires a lot strategy.
    • Credo joins this trope and also requires strategy to defeat him as Nero.
    • Saviour might be the closest thing Capcom made to a Shadow Of The Colossus boss fight considering before you have to destroy most of his blue spheres while making continuous long jumps as Dante and then the boss reveals his health bar.

Trollhunters

Angor Rot

  • Not So Different: Both Jim and Angor Rot show a few similarities during the final battle. They're both champions of great wizards like Merlin and Morgana respectively. They're both willing to give up a part of themselves to save their loved ones. It is through this resemblance that Jim is able to convince Angor to stop fighting on the evil witch's behalf and ultimately help the Trollhunters seal her away in the Shadow Realm at the cost of his own life.

Token Good Teammate: Anew is not evil, but being part of member of Innovator and one of Ribbons creation which is make her villainous. While most of them are arrogant and care nothing toward humans(even though they can, it's VERY little and only for their own purpose), Anew learn to understanding the humans even she learn to fell in love with them. She doesn't shot Lasse to death and spare Mileina and Feldt life because they are same gender with her.

White Sheep: As a Innovade which created by Ribbons, she was created only for the mission to infiltration to find the secret of Celestial Being and as a object to tracking Celestial Being location. In worst, Ribbons can shut down and controlled her mind to finish her task. Clearly that she is nothing but a poor tool and a puppet for him, much like Louise Halevy.

I have checked the page Devils' Line and I noticed that you have already added at least some of these examples to it. Deliberately adding examples with bad English to a page is a serious violation of TV Tropes rules, even if you plan to have me proofread them later so you can correct them.

If you continue to do this I will have to notify the moderators, who will suspend you from editing. Even if I don't do it, someone else will probably notice the bad English in your posts and report you. Please don't add any more material to TV Tropes pages without having it proofread here first.
