Others

    Angela

Angela

Introduced as Dex's girlfriend, after his death in the KITTEN storyline (which traumatised her and left her with a fear of cats) she was briefly a Love Interest to Torg. Sluggy-Prime Angela has not been seen since "KITTEN II" (at the end of which she was left catatonic) but her 4U City Alternate Universe counterpart played a role in the revolution there.

    Berk

Berk

A Super-Soldier from a Bad Future sent back in time by Dr Schlock to stop K'z'k taking over the world. Was killed in the process.

    Dr. Crabtree

Dr. Catherine Crabtree

One of Dr. Schlock's former colleagues, she invented nanites designed to collect information on animals from within during animal testing, but ended up using them on herself to become the powerful Nanite Queen.

  • Assimilation Backfire: She can gain the knowledge of people by eating their brains...but when she tries it on Sam Sein she is infected with his stupidity, and when she tries it on Christmas Elves she is compelled to frolic everywhere singing "lolly la!"
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: After a long buildup, is unceremoniously wiped out by Aylee's EMP. The abruptness of this is lampshaded.
  • Humiliation Conga: Repeatedly damaged both physically and mentally by Bun-bun's Home Alone style house traps (intended for Torg and the gang after Aylee erased his Baywatch tapes).
  • I'm Melting!: She's so suffused with nanites than when she's hit with an electromagnetic pulse her body simply collapses into a puddle.
  • Kick the Dog: Actively hates animals and Kiki in particular.
  • Man of a Thousand Faces: She at one point demonstrates the ability to shapeshift for this, but can't concentrate enough to do it after being infected with Sam's stupidity.

    Crystal

Crystal

The obligatory local bartender. Doesn't seem to mind all that much that one of her customers is a talking rabbit.

  • Commuting on a Bus: As the plots often to take the characters far from home, let alone to the local bar, Crystal tends to go long periods of time without appearing. However, in periods where she does appear she can recur quite a bit.
  • Lethal Chef: Don't come to her Survivor Night when she tries making new mixed drinks.
  • Mauve Shirt: In times where she had more of a supporting role. She's been a bystander to a few of the gang's crazier and deadlier adventures, yet always managed to avoid the strip's trademark Black Humor.

    Dex

Dex

A college friend of Zoe's she had a crush on, but it turned out that he was only interested in her because she worked for Dr. Lorna at the time. Later appeared with his girlfriend Angela and was killed in the first KITTEN storyline.

  • For Want Of A Nail: Him calling Zoe boring (below) is inadvertently responsible for the Storm Breaker saga, as it motivated her to join in one of Torg and Riff's crazy plans for once.
  • Freudian Slip: "I think you're very nice and boring, Zoe! I just said 'beautiful', right? 'Nice and beautiful'?"

    Fred

"Freaky" Fred

Introduced as a crazy member of the remedial group of cannibals in a course Aylee was sent on, his Sluggy-Prime version was eaten himself by the teacher at the end of it, but his Dimension of Lame version appeared years later and became a major character in "That Which Redeems".

  • Ax-Crazy: He's a member of a remedial group of cannibals. What part of that do you not understand?
    • Torg calls him one of the most disturbed individuals in the Dimension of Lame... because he used to fashion rice cakes in the shape of people and then eat them.
  • Despair Event Horizon: His Dimension of Lame counterpart induces it in Torg, as Fred is the most Ax-Crazy person Torg has met in the Dimension of Lame by its own standards, and still breaks down in a My God, What Have I Done? fashion after tapping a demon on the foot with a hammer.
  • Fantastic Racism: Against Aylee the alien and Percy the mammoth.

    Grahammy

Grahammy

Was a Neebler cookie elf till becoming a Black-ops elf (a high ranking one, thanks to Bun-bun). The only one of the magical creatures connected to the holidays that knows Bun-bun is alive.

  • Fantastic Racism: According to Squishydodo is subject to it by the 'pure-blood' Christmas elves, although we haven't actually seen it happen.

    Blinky and Clyde

Blinky and Clyde

Two filler minions transported into a fantasy world.

  • The Bad Guy Wins: They ultimately side with the Scorpion Wizard King, help him enslave the town of Dumbblefolk, defeat the good wizard they were working for earlier, and live happily ever after. However, Word of God has it that either ending can be considered canon.
  • Mooks: Their job profession is henchman, though it appears that Blinky trying to become a hunter.
  • Poor Communication Kills: They thought the wizard said most 'chased' woman in town when he said most chaste. and because of it the dragon coming to burn them all to cinder [1].
  • Stalkerwith A Crush: Blinky has shown shades of this:
Blinky: Someday I hope Pinky, Blinky and Clyde can chase Ms. Pachmon around the maze together as a team.
    Clyde: That's creepy dude.

    Izzy

Isabella

Izzy/Isabella is the sister of the Minion Master, and had helped him design his base and keep it secret. She rescued the Minion Master from Bestseid with the help of Torg, Sasha, and Sam. She and Minion Master defected to Hereti-Corp, taking the location of Dr. Steve's base-lab with them.

  • Alternate Universe: Izzy's 4U City counterpart who is Alt-Riff's wife was introduced before her Sluggy-Prime version. Both turned out to be important to the plot, however.
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Her brother, Anthony, is largely worthless and The Ditz. He is almost completely reliant on her for everything, and her uncle once went so far as to advise her to abandon him, since Anthony would likely get them both killed.

    Kent

Kent

Dated Zoe a few times, and later the Angsty Dentist. A Jerkass with right-wing political views. His uncle is the vampire hunter Arminius Vambrey. His Sluggy-Prime version not been seen since 2004, but his Dimension of Lame counterpart (apparently a Granola Boy) was briefly seen after that.

  • Agent Scully: Takes skepticism to ridiculous degrees, convinced vampires are cosplayers or LARPers even when they're doing supernatural things right in front of him.
  • The Con: Was manipulated by his hero, Donald Trump into taking over Riff and Torg's lemonade stand along with his own, only to have both of them taken from him.

    Leo

Leo

Zoe's onetime boyfriend who worked as a human cannonball. Walked out on the group after the Dimension of Sham-Pain incident when he was unable to cope with the weirdness. His Sluggy-Prime version has not been since then, but his 4U City counterpart has appeared and played a role in the resistance, then opened a coffee shop after the revolution.

    The Minion Master

The Minion Master / Anthony

Introduced as a generic parody villain (or at least someone who wants to be) whom Bun-bun was renting out his Elaborate Underground Base to. His plan to Take Over the World was simply to recruit more and more people as his minions, which he could do because he is very skilled at erasing wanted people's identities from electronic systems and giving them new ones. This is said to be the only thing he is really good at. After Zoe and Riff were lost, Torg put together a team who went undercover as the Minion Master's minions and took part in the Research and Development Wars against Hereti-Corp, using his organisation as a front. However, Minion Master was eventually overthrown by Bestseid. He and his sister Izzy now work for Hereti-Corp.

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He seems incredibly quirky and incompetent at first, with even his first disappearing act being nothing more than him hiding behind an object. However, he's actually extremely good at erasing peoples' tracks, identities, and going into hiding. So good that even his sister, who was revealed to be his Man Behind the Man when it came to that sort of thing, didn't know he was still alive.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Well, from a largely In Name Only villain to one who works for Hereti-Corp, though he and Izzy only went there because they saw it as their only choice.
  • Face–Monster Turn: He gets turned into a vampire and is Mind Controlled by his sire, Urja, to work against the main cast. And even when Urja is distracted, it doesn't take him long to try to vamp and enslave his sister of his own free will.
  • The Faceless: Until the Bestseid arc.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Originally, starting out as a thoroughly incompetent and comical "villain".
  • Kick the Dog: After becoming a vampire, he is initially forced to work against his sister. But when Urja, his sire, is too distracted to Mind Control him, he ponders whether he should let his sister go or give her a Mercy Kill. But he ultimately settles on embracing Transhuman Treachery, deciding to drain and enslave his sister to augment his own vampyric power.
  • Killed Off for Real: Just before he can drain his sister dry, Riff stakes him with a stake shooting gun.
  • The Minion Master: Trope Namer, but not really an example.
  • Nerd in Evil's Helmet: He became the Minion Master due to an obsession with a comic book villain and continues to demonstrate some nerdy tendencies.
  • Paste Eater: He liked to eat paste as a kid and still hasn't outgrown it as an adult.
  • Poke the Poodle: He starts out as a comical Harmless Villain. Though he becomes considerably more serious and dangerous after his Face–Monster Turn.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Hereti Corp's database records him as dead, but he later turns out to be alive. It turns out they were half right. He got turned into a vampire.
  • Stranger Behind the Mask: Given Pete Abrams' fondness for The Reveal and plot twists, fans were expecting Minion Master to be someone they had seen before, so this was quite a Meta Twist.
  • Too Dumb to Live: His uncle warned his sister that if she didn't distance herself from him, he would bring them both down. Sure enough, he stupidly lets Bestseid, an enemy prisoner, loose in return for more minions, which loses him control of his base and ultimately exposes his location to Urja, which gets him turned into a vampire.

    Rammer

Agent Brian Rammer

A government agent.

    Nash Straw

Nash Straw/Reynold Strom (and many other aliases)

An Intrepid Reporter looking for his next big scoop in the secrets of Podunktown. In truth, he is a hitman/ bounty hunter. In his first appearance, he is after the bounty placed upon the mysterious vigilante who has destroyed the Canadian mob operations in Podunktown, who of course turns out to be Oasis. After killing Oasis with a sniper rifle and watching her subsequent revival, he joins up with Hereti corp, trading his information on Oasis in return for a position.

He was last seen working as a tracker for the K'Z'K Cult alongside N'aaaw, as one of their best field agents, despite not being demon-possessed.

  • Anti-Hero/Anti-Villain: No matter what version of Nash it is, he is always just in it for himself. He will be a hero or a villain according to whichever state is more profitable to him.
  • Badass Longcoat
  • Badass Normal: As far as we know, he has no special powers or technology. He is also one of the handful of beings to successfully kill Oasis (twice, though she wasn't in a position to fight back the second time). Actually three times if you include sniping Harbinger in 4U City.
  • Bounty Hunter: His real occupation.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: He murders the woman who helped him track down Oasis. He later gains employment at Hereti Corp, but double crosses them to cash in Oasis's bounty and go work for the Cult of K'Z'K. After learning that the Cult of K'Z'K intents to destroy the world, he starts contemplating how to sabotage them.
  • Cold Sniper: It depends. He will blow you away without mercy, but it's "just business" to him. He is friendly to his allies and a bit of a casanova, but he will still stab you in the back later if it benefits him. He will also kill the innocent or his allies if he deems them a risk, but he will apologize for it. He avoids unnecessary killing otherwise, though are some people that he targets as part of a personal grudge. For these people, he draws out the fight because killing them quickly is too good for them, but he he will kill them earlier than he intended to if it's the pragmatic choice. He seems to have pretty strict codes about who he kills and how he treats other people.
  • I Have Many Names: Although they all seem to be related: Nash Straw, Warren Nashville, Reynold Strom, Reid Nash, etc. Father Time refers to him as "The Strawman".
  • Intrepid Reporter: In his first appearance, he is trying to uncover the secrets of Podunktown, believing it will lead to his next big scoop. Three guesses how that ends up.
  • Spanner in the Works: He was basically this to Dr. Schlock's Triangle plan, stealing Oasis away just before he discovered the location of Dr. Steve's base camp, which would have allowed Schlock to awaken Oasis's full potential and bring her under his control.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Very narrowly avoids becoming this. Earlier, he overheard that killing Gwynn's body would be enough to stop K'Z'K. But by the time he tries it, that information is out of date and would have only hurt the matter. Fortunately, Bun-bun saves Gwynn's life by knocking off his aim, allowing the bullet to merely graze her.
  • Villainous Rescue: There are two cults dedicated to K'Z'K. The Release wants to destroy the world through the actual demon K'Z'K. In order to stop Zoe from fulfilling her destiny of defeating K'Z'K, The Release tries to murder her. But the Cult of K'Z'K merely use K'Z'K as a metaphor and are perfectly fine with bringing about the end themselves. They order Strum to protect her so they can use her as insurance to force Skippy's cooperation. He ends up sniping Qaboos just before he can kill Zoe.

    Arminus Vambrey

Arminius Vambrey

A Vampire Hunter and Kent's uncle. His Dimension of Lame counterpart was also briefly seen at the beginning of "That Which Redeems".

    Flaky

Flaky

Currently taking care of the EVIL so it doesn't run rampant.

  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Tries to do this with the kittens by keeping them fed with their Weaksauce Weakness; milk. Unfortunately, she did not count on an insane military commander clown messing things up. At great expense in human life, she eventually got it back under control though.

    Marco

Marco

A Teutonic spellcasting student who develops a romantic interest in Gwynn.

  • Combat Tentacles: He develops a vine based version as he starts losing control of his curse. He accidentally uses them to strangle Gwynn.
  • The Empath: He specializes in empathic spells.
  • Getting Smilies Painted on Your Soul: His signature spell is the ability to make people happy. Which is how he manages to resist his curse much longer than the others so inflicted.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Losing control to his curse, he is shocked back to his senses when he realizes that he has killed Gwynn.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: He and his friends were murdered by a zombie lord plant monster and its minions. Anyone killed in its presence rises as a plant-based zombie. They start out lifelike, with their minds, appearance, and spellcasting intact. But as the curse wears on their minds, they become increasingly prone to hate. If they lose control of their tempers, their souls burn out, they transform into monsters themselves, and they become the slaves of the zombie lord.
  • Sprint Shoes: He had a pair of boots that allowed him to use Super-Speed. He passes them on to Gwynn when he realizes his doom.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: He forgot that he died when he was raised as an undead.
  • Uncertain Doom: He is last seen getting crushed by the flower demon's foot, but his fate is never explicitly confirmed, with Gwynn simply hoping that she saved his soul.
