Main Characters

    SpongeBob SquarePants
Franchise Origin: SpongeBob SquarePants
Gory Toons Debut: Crappy Flush
Voiced by: Tom Kenny

  • Badass Adorable: He has his moments, such as in "Dieseling Derby".
  • Butt-Monkey: He gets some of the most agonizing and longest deaths in the series.
  • The Everyman: SpongeBob often fills this role, usually being put in relatable situations that esculate into unexpected disaster.
  • Eye Scream: He gets skwered in the eye by a tree branch in "All For Ski".
  • Keet: He is loud, cheerful, and kindhearted.
  • Lethal Klutz: He is very clumsy and this is often the cause of the other characters' deaths. In fact, he has the highest kill count in the entire show.
  • Lovable Coward: If "All For Ski" and few other episodes are any indication, he is one of the more cowardly characters in the series. Yet, he is easily one of the most sympathetic as well.
  • Nice Guy: He is very friendly, affectionate, and almost absurdly nice to everyone. Most of the time.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: Especially during his many deaths.
  • Series Mascot: He is often used to advertised or represent the show.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: He is part of one with Kirby for Season 1, being the only character to have three episodes focused on him while the others (Pop, Splendid, Sonic, Cuddles) only had one episode revolving around them.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: In "All For Ski", it is revealed that SpongeBob has acrophobia (or a fear of heights). Sadly, it much worse from there...
    Cuddles
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Gory Toons Debut: You're Too Slow!
Voiced by: Kenn Navarro

  • Blush Sticker: Permanent ones, too.
  • Butt-Monkey: Besides Kirby, he has the highest number of deaths out of all the characters. He has also yet to survive a regular starring episode on his own, along with Kenny.
  • The Cutie: An innocent rabbit who just wants to have some fun.
  • Dumb Blonde: He is a yellow rabbit who tends to be Too Dumb to Live.
  • Expressive Ears: His ears droop when he's upset.
  • Ironic Name: His name is "Cuddles", and he has a cute-looking appearance to cope with that, but he's actually a daredevil who's quite fond of risky hobbies, and being naturally mischievous to boot.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Cuddles can be a little self-centered and inconsiderate sometimes, such as pushing Flaky down a water slide against her will and accidentally causing her death. But otherwise, he's very kind toward others.
  • Keet: Very outgoing.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Has yellow fur and is very friendly.
  • Only Sane Man: The very rare chance that Flaky isn't playing this role, it's him. He'll be more observant and less Too Dumb to Live if the plot demands it.
  • Rascally Rabbit: He can be quite a mischievous bunny and is known to get other characters to join in his mischief.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: He is pretty manly, but he loves the color pink and always wears pink bunny slippers.
  • Righteous Rabbit: He's a rabbit who is one of the friendliest characters in the series.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: He has a somewhat high-pitched voice in general, but it's especially obvious when he screams.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Manly Man to Toothy's Sensitive Guy. Cuddles is impulsive, outgoing and adventurous, while Toothy is somewhat more shy.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He purposefully drinks a vat of nuclear waste in "Zombodie Told Me", which somehow transforms him into a zombie.
    • He plays with a fire match in "You're Too Slow!".
  • Tuft of Head Fur: Has fluffy hair on his head resembling his cotton tail.
    Kirby
Franchise Origin: Kirby
Gory Toons Debut: Crappy Flush
Voiced by: Makiko Ohmoto

  • Black-Hole Belly: He can swallow virtually anything with his Vacuum Mouth. This is, predictably, taken up to eleven when he inhaled a Miracle Fruit in "The power of supernova".
  • Big Eater: He loves to eat.
  • Black Bead Eyes: With dark blue irises.
  • Blush Sticker: Has them all the time.
  • Butt-Monkey: He has a low survival rate and some of the most gruesome deaths in the series.
  • Cartoon Creature: Kirby's species is never revealed, and the closest we get to official names are "Puffball", "Marshmallow", or simpy "Kirby".
  • Cheerful Child: He has a cheerful and innocent personality.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Happens to him a lot, even by Happy Tree Friends standards. His most infamous death happens in the episode, "And It Just Fixs!", where he stabs himself in the eye, gets torn apart by a fan, gets pinned to the ground, has his skin ripped off his body, set ablazed, is smashed through a window, mauled by a dog, and finally, ran over by Lumpy's car.
  • The Cutie: He is an adorable puffball with an innocence to match.
  • Eating the Enemy: This is his main method of dealing with foes.
  • Heroic Mime: He doesn't speak much and usually doesn't say anything outside of "Hi!" or a "Poyo!".
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: He has blue irises and is one of the most innocent characters.
  • Jumped at the Call: Whenever Pop has an issue, Kirby is more than happy to help, as seen in "And It Just Fixs!" and "Road Rage".
  • Killer Rabbit: Considering the name of the show, it's a given. He especially is one in "The power of supernova", where he intentionally inhales the other characters after ingesting a Miracle Fruit.
  • Nice Guy: Kirby is by-far the nicest guy you could ever meet.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Oversized head? He is all head. Big, pink colored, stubby limbs, a big smile, large eyes… no fur, but the chubbiness and softness more than makes up for it.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: He is part of one with SpongeBob for Season 1, being the only characters to have more than one episode focused on them while the others (Pop, Splendid, Sonic, Cuddles) only had one episode revolving around them.
  • Sudden Anatomy: He often has teeth in a lot of his expressions.
  • Vacuum Mouth: His signature "Inhale" ability.
  • Waddling Head: Like many creatures on Planet Popstar, this is a defining trait of Kirby and his species.
  • Your Size May Vary: His size is somewhat inconsistent, even though he is officially stated to be eight inches tall (20 cm). While he is often shown as the same size as Cub, other times he is barely shorter than Cuddles or the same size as a South Park 4th Grader.
    Eric Cartman
Franchise Origin: South Park
Gory Toons Debut: Road Rage
Voiced by: Trey Parker

  • Ascended Extra: Despite being one of the primary characters, Cartman was absent for the entirety of Season 1, unlike Stan and Kenny. He made his first appearance in the first episode of Season 2, "Road Rage", where he was responsible for the episode's conflict despite his short amount of screen time. He made a return with his first starring role, "We Round Love", and made regular appearances from that point.
  • Kids Are Cruel: An exaggerated variant; he is a very evil person for his age, and this trait has been Flanderized in Gory Toons as well.
  • Fat Bastard: He is a sociopathic, egotistical, and sadistc child who is very obese.
  • Flanderization: In his first Gory Toons appearance, he seem to be a midly annoying brat at worst. Then in "We Round Love", he kills Kirby with a machette for seemingly no reason.
    Pop
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Gory Toons Debut: You're Too Slow!
Voiced by: Aubrey Ankrum

  • Adults Are Useless: While most of the adults in Gory Toons are useless, he is by far the biggest example.
  • Ascended Extra: Originally he was just Cub's dad, but nowadays it's not unheard of to have entire episodes focused on Pop with the main four relegated to background characters.
  • Bears Are Bad News:
    • A lot of the time. He is rather violent and can get angry over minor infractions. "You're Too Slow" and "Super Pop Bros." are probably the biggest example of this trope.
    • Downplayed regarding his son's deaths because while his terrible parenting skills usually mean a terrible death for his son Cub, he doesn't intend to do so, has a good heart and only wants what's best for him.
  • Beary Friendly: He is often shown to be a good-natured sort when interacting with his friends.
  • Breakout Character: Pop has become increasingly more important lately due to a mix of popularity and DailyAirings favoring Pop more.
  • Bumbling Dad: He is Cub's destructive, careless, and somewhat immature father whose obliviousness to his son's safety often leads to the latter's often gruesome deaths.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: His robe and cap.
  • Knight Templar Parent: He becomes enraged after Sonic (unintentionally) tramples Cub to death in "You're Too Slow". He spends the rest of the episode rallying everyone against Sonic, resulting in a brick wall getting built in Sonic's path to kill him.
  • Papa Wolf: In "You're Too Slow!".
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: So much so that he became the most recurring Happy Tree Friends character.
    Kenny McCormick
Franchise Origin: South Park
Gory Toons Debut: All For Ski
Voiced by: Matt Stone

  • Ascended Extra: First appeared in Season 1's finale, "All For Ski", in a small cameo where he was quickly killed off. Afterward, he briefly disappeared off the face of the earth, until the episode "Jelly Tales". Shortly after his return, he was immediately given A Day In The Lime Light and afterwards, he remains as a promintent regular in the series, to the extent that he is easily the most frequently appearing character behind the primary four and Pop.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: His eyebrows are longer and thicker than most kids in the show.
  • Butt-Monkey: Unsuprisingly, he dies in all of his appearances.
  • A Day In The Lime Light: While he is a frequently appearing character, he is the main character in "Moose with Loose Screws", "Good Fright!", and "Skate Park", and a major antagonist in "Dieseling Derby".
  • The Faceless: Downplayed. His eyes are visible but everything else is covered by his hood.
  • Intelligible Unintelligible: His dialogue is made up of muffled grunts due to his hoodie, but the other characters seem to understand him just fine.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He is often bratty and crude, and is the most likely to aid Cartman in his schemes. Despite all of these shortcomings, he is a pretty friendly kid with a gold heart.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Downplayed. While he is certainly less malicious than Cartman, he tends to be mischevious, very foulmouthed, and assist Cartman in his schemes.
  • Never Bareheaded: Kenny is never seen without his orange parka.
  • Nice Guy: Despite his flaws, he is friendly, kindhearted, and outgoing.
  • Odd Friendship: With Cartman. Kenny is the closest thing Cartman has to a best friend, even though they couldn't be much more different in terms of morality.
  • Torso with a View: He gets a baseball shot through his body in "Moose With Loose Screws", leaving him with this.
  • The Unintelligible: Kenny's speech is muffled by his parka, though a few words can be made out if you listen carefully.

SpongeBob SquarePants

    Patrick Star
Franchise Origin: SpongeBob SquarePants
Gory Toons Debut: Splatter Fest
Voiced by: Bill Fagerbakke

  • Fat Best Friend: He is the overweight, lazy, and unintellegent yet loyal best friend of SpongeBob SquarePants, who is also his nextdoor neighbor.

Voiced by: Rodger Bumpass

  • A Day In The Lime Light: He was the main character of "Restless Meg Syndrome" and had a major role in "Dieseling Derby".

  • Penny-Pinching Crab: The Trope Codifier. He is a greedy crustacean who would do anything to obtain money. His greed often results in the deaths of himself and others.
    Sheldon J. Plankton
Franchise Origin: SpongeBob SquarePants
Gory Toons Debut: Krabby Klash
Voiced by: Mr. Lawrence

Happy Tree Friends

    Giggles
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Voiced by: Dana Belben, Ellen Connell, Lori Jee, Nica Lorber

  • Nice Girl: She's a sweetheart as long as you don't provoke her.
    Toothy
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Gory Toons Debut: You're Too Slow!
Voiced by: Warren Graff

  • Butt-Monkey: Most of the time, thanks to his many painful eye injuries and low survival rate.
  • The Everyman: Has barely any character traits besides his haplessness. Made apparent by his roles being very inconsequential in most episodes.
  • Eye Scream: A Running Gag in the show has Toothy constantly suffering from eye injuries.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Toothy is one of the most recurring characters in the series since the second episode. This is likely due to his flexiable personality and The Everyman role.
    Lumpy
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Gory Toons Debut: Zombodie Told Me
Voiced by: Rhode Montijo, David Winn

  • Lethal Klutz: His stupidity has caused so many deaths that he has an official kill count that's higher than that of even Evil Flippy/Fliqpy.
  • Lethally Stupid: Trope Codifier. His stupidity caused many deaths.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: While he is nowhere near as prominent as he was in Happy Tree Friends, he is still one of the most recurring characters in the series aside from the main four, with him almost rivaling Kenny in prominence.
    Flippy/Fliqpy
Franchise Origin: Happy Tree Friends
Voiced by: Aubrey Ankrum, Kenn Navarro (Good Flippy)

  • Ax-Crazy: His flipped-out state is a mass murderer who takes pleasure out of killing others.
  • Bears Are Bad News: He may be one of the nicest characters in his normal state, but when he does flip out, he becomes an Ax-Crazy serial killer.
  • Berserk Button: Anything that reminds Flippy of war can turn him into Fliqpy.
  • Cute and Psycho: He is a cute bear with a dangerous side due to his PTSD.
  • Evil Laugh: Fliqpy has a normally deep one.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Fliqpy's voice is much deeper than Flippy's.
  • Fangs Are Evil: One of Fliqpy's main distinguishing features are that his mouth is full of fangs.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Wears no pants.
  • Improvised Weapon: Fliqpy has a knack for transforming nearby objects into lethal weapons. In Gory Toons, he has used a spatula, a frying pan, and even candy to kill his victims.
  • Nice Guy: As Flippy, he's good-natured and friendly.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: While Flippy is one of the sweetest characters in his "Good Flippy" persona, he has severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that is easily triggered by sights or noise that reminds him of war. Once his PTSD is triggered, he becomes "Fliqpy" and he will start killing the other characters in a sadistic fashion.
  • Trauma Button: Anything that sounds or looks like it came from the war (e.g. gunshots, fire, corpses, etc.)
  • Villain Protagonist: Though not intentionally, once Flippy flips out, he kills other characters without remorse or mercy.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: He might have one of the highest kill counts, he is also a victim of PTSD, a devastating illness that causes him to see his civilians as enemy soldiers.

Kirby

    King Dedede
Franchise Origin: Kirby
Gory Toons Debut: The Power of Supernova
Voiced by: Masahiro Sakurai, Shinya Kumazaki

  • Ascended Extra: While King Dedede has been present in the series since the third episode, he never had a particularly major role outside of being the focus of a scene. His prominence increased in Season 3, where he appears promintently in all three episodes and was the main antagonist of the first two. In short, he went from a minor character to one of the primary villians.
  • The Dragon: To Plankton in "Dieseling Derby".
  • Large and in Charge: He is a massive penguin-thing who commands a large army of Waddle Dees and other creatures.

South Park

    Stan Marsh
Franchise Origin: South Park
Gory Toons Debut: You're Too Slow!
Voiced by: Trey Parker

  • A Day In The Lime Light: "Feline Good"
  • Animal Lover: His first major episode properly introduces his love for animals.
  • The Everyman: He is the most "normal" character.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: He saves a cat from the bear trap that trapped it in "Feline Good". The bear trap ends up clamping his arms off, sadly.
  • Out of Focus: For the longest time, Stan hasn't had an important role in any episode. This changed as of "Feline Good", the first episode where he does anything remotely significant.
    Kyle Broflovski
Franchise Origin: South Park
Gory Toons Debut: Sand And Deliver
Voiced by: Matt Stone

    Butters Stotch
Franchise Origin: South Park
Gory Toons Debut: Road Rage
Voiced by: Matt Stone

  • Nice Guy: Butters is by far the sweetest and most kindhearted in the whole series, if not behind SpongeBob and Kirby.

Super Mario Bros.

    Wario
Franchise Origin: Super Mario Bros., Wario
Gory Toons Debut: Road Rage
Voiced by: Charles Martinet

Other

  • Early-Bird Cameo: Before her major appearance in "Blind Mistake", she made a brief cameo in "And It Just Fixs!".
  • Made of Iron: She is one of the only characters who has never died once in the series.
  • Nice Girl: She is one of the friendliest characters in the series.
  • Original Generation: She was made specifically for this series.
  • Token Human: She is technically a Happy Tree Friends OC due to her being the maid of Pop and Disco Bear.
    Sonic the Hedgehog
Franchise Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog
Gory Toons Debut: You're Too Slow!
Voiced by: Jason Griffith

  • Super-Speed: Sonic's trademark ability. However, it's yet another catalyst for multiple deaths in an episode.
