Below is the list of characters appearing in the original roleplay Lascantia Of The Horizon so far. Under construction.
A note for players who double as editors of this page: for now, the characters are categorized based on the location of their first appearance, rather than their hometown or affiliation.
open/close all folders
Wildefarea Queendom
- Casanova Wannabe: Not Lucas himself, but his familiar, Diara.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Lucas would've had better reputation as a chemistry teacher if it wasn't for the fact that he dumps his grading work to Diara, who naturally grades the students' works as it wants. Specifically, the ones guaranteed to gain good scores are attractive and well-endowed female students. And Sakuya.
Alessa Leier
- Seiyuu: Houko Kuwashima
- Badass Adorable
- Heartbroken Badass: Having her brother went missing only strengthened Alessa's resolve to become stronger so she can travel and find him herself someday.
- Boring, but Practical/Weak, but Skilled: Both of Alessa's physical skills deal only a small amount of damage, but they decrease her targets' defense without fail and have fairly high chance to cause stun or dizzy. Considering her partner is one of the primary damage dealers, well...
- Braids of Action: Dons a huge, loose braid when wearing her travel gear.
- City Guards: Her duty when she is not tending her family's flower shop or taking care of her mother. She mostly acts as support, though.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Alessa and her brother Brennan were ambushed by a Black Calamity that appeared near Roseavall seven years before the story. While she survived thanks to Dietrich's interference, her brother mysteriously disappeared during the attack, traumatizing her and causing their mother to fall ill from shock.
- Disappeared Dad: Her father deceased roughly two years before her brother disappeared.
- Everyone Can See It: It is clear to everyone around her and Dietrich that the two want to push their relationship further.
- Green Thumb: She is talented in tree magic, all of which are quite powerful. However, as explained in the second sub-entry...
- He Is Not My Boyfriend: She'll get flustered at the slightest implication of Dietrich and her being together and will immediately correct the person that they are "simply" close friends.
- Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Borderline case with Dietrich since Alessa isn't exactly small. They technically fit better into One Head Taller category, but Dietrich's build and broad shoulders make him look quite big compared to her.
- The Medic: To elaborate, a single-target fully-healing spell, another that heals certain amount of HP and heals status effects within medium range, and another that heals along with reviving downed allies within great range. Her Lv2 SLB completely restores all allies and if lucky enough, raises all stats by 20% for certain amount of time.
- Nice Guy: Her internal issues aside, she is genuinely a kind person who is always willing to help.
- Petal Power: The aptly-named Lv3 spell, Petal Storm.
- Power at a Price: Due to her traumatic experience during the Black Calamity incident years ago, said spells become rather harmful for her every time she tries to use them. In gameplay terms, she'll receive a small amount of damage every time the spells successfully hit enemies.
- Precision-Guided Boomerang: Her chakrams always manage to return to her in perfect trajectory.
- Spit Take: Or rather, choke take. Poor Alessa has one when Marda gets on her usual Insistent Terminology shenanigan in Falanor.
- Stepford Smiler: Type A. She attempts to keep strong front after her brother's disappearance so people won't be worried about her. This cracks easily when Dietrich is around, however.
- Tareme Eyes: Her general expression, signifying her gentle nature.
- Team Mom: She is very nurturing, possibly due to having to take care of her mother and brother after her father died.
- Unequal Pairing: With Dietrich, something she is fully aware of. It doesn't help that his father strongly disapproves their relationship.
- White Magician Girl: Has powerful healing spells? Check. Supreme Chef? Check. Team Mom? Check!
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Beware the Nice Ones: Despite her motherly nature, she pays zero tolerance to those who play sick, complete with Tranquil Fury.
- Happily Married: With Dietrich, unlike their UST-laden original counterpart. Though technically they're still engaged.
- School Nurse: Her duty, in addition to being botany and home economics teacher.
Dietrich Alberg
- Seiyuu: Hiroaki Hirata
- The Ace: He was one of the top graduates of Falanor Knight Academy, and even after his premature retirement, he is still able to prove that said position is well-deserved.
- Artificial Limbs: His prosthetic left arm. Dietrich seems to have fully mastered its usage to the point of using it as a weapon that can cause One-Hit KO.
- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite his constant exasperation at Julrich's...um, enthusiastic attempts to get him and Alessa together, Dietrich looks up to his brother and genuinely appreciates the support given to their relationship.
- Handicapped Badass: Due to losing his left arm in his final mission roughly three years before the story and had it replaced with an artificial one.
- Retired Badass: He was a knight, but had to quit due to the aforementioned injury. Even today, he still hasn't gotten back to his full potential.
- BFS: While not to the point of being impossibly huge, Dietrich wields a sword resembling claymore in shape and length.
- Big Brother Worship: Truly looks up to his eldest brother Julrich.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Justified and downplayed. Being an ex-knight, Dietrich's conscience makes him unable to leave people in trouble, but he'll certainly cringe and complain along the way if he finds the situation he's dragged into is (for lack of better word) "stupid".
- City Guards: His occupation after retiring from knighthood. Due to his experience, this makes him one of the more competent guards around and often acts as de facto leader for his comrades.
- Deadpan Snarker: Sometimes. Mostly in his inner monologues, though.
- Face Palm: His standard reaction to anything cringe-worthy around him, most notably when Marda questions where she is after buying flowers from Alessa's shop.
- Fiery Redhead: Subverted, as he is one of the calmer characters around.
- Heroes Prefer Swords: Wields two-handed long sword.
- Knight in Shining Armor: Certainly holds the value, although he is technically no longer a knight.
- Massive Numbered Siblings: He has three elder brothers and two elder sisters, with Julrich being twelve years apart from him.
- Non-Idle Rich/Royals Who Actually Do Something: Justified. Dietrich doesn't bear as much responsibility as his older siblings due to his parents paying more attention to them (and expecting more from them in return), so he has relatively greater freedom to do what he wants.
- One Head Taller: Alessa is only about as tall as his jaw. Also borders on Huge Guy, Tiny Girl, as explained in Alessa's entry.
- One-Hit KO: His Skull Crush skill has 20% chance to inflict this on most enemies, as long as they aren't major or plot-relevant bosses. Yes, that means if he's lucky enough, he can wipe the floor with Bosses in Mook Clothing.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Manages to do this on a freaking Mandragora as a result.
- Rescue Romance: He and Alessa first met when he saved her from a Black Calamity when he was still an apprentice knight, although the two only started befriending each other after he retired from knighthood and returned to Roseavall years later.
- Through His Stomach: Dietrich is rarely able to resist Alessa's requests...and even more so once she mentions her homemade food, whether she realizes it or not.
- Trademark Favorite Food: In a sense. He seems to prefer anything with sweet-and-sour sauce over others.
- Unequal Pairing: With Alessa; at least, his father seems to think so. He seeks to change it as a result.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Happily Married: With Alessa, though they're technically still engaged.
- Megaton Punch: Gave one to Adrias after he went too far on joking what he and Alessa are going to do in one of their dates. Using his prosthetic left arm, no less.
- Only Sane Man: In comparison to most of the teachers, especially Severine and Adrias.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Always tries his best to help his students, even glossing over some of their bizarre quirks (eg. Marda). At the same time, however, he has no qualms on cutting down their grades once they go too far.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: He's capable of witnessing the bizarre occurrences around him (eg. Medea and Severine's Cat Fight) with straight, unchanging face for the most part, even though he does have his limits. To be honest, he wouldn't be surprised if one of the [staff] room's desks ended up flying courtesy of this certain savage woman [Severine].
Felena Ravyn Stark
- Seiyuu: Eri Kitamura
- Animal Jingoism: Seems like she (a werecat) has this thing going on with canine species, influencing her dislike towards dogs and wolves in general.
- Animal Motifs: Cats, specifically black cats.
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: Half werecat, half human.
- Animal Stereotypes: Fitting the stereotype of cats, she is clever, curious, playful, with mischievous, lazy, hedonistic, and a bit of manipulative streak to some degree.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: She is very easy to get distracted. Just give her shiny jewelries or nice-smelling foods.
- Badass Longcoat: Often seen with a khaki-colored trenchcoat and it apparently belongs to her adoptive father.
- Cat Girl: The very embodiment of this trope. Her cat ears pop out whenever she's under stress or whenever she's angry.
- Collared by Fashion: She has a red colored cat collar-like choker complete with a small bell on it.
- Elemental Powers: Extra-ore-dinary (she can transform her natural claws into metallic claws), Blow You Away.
- Extremity Extremist: Fights with punches, claws, and kicks.
- Femme Fatalons: Her claws can be shorten and grown again. It also works as her Natural Weapon.
- Fragile Speedster: High speed stats and quick attacking speed, but she cannot even take a hit.
- Half-Human Hybrid: It is implied that her real father is a demon beast and her mother is an ordinary human.
- Jive Turkey: You'll find a lot of slang in her speech.
- Lethal Chef: Do not even think to try on her cooking.
- Megaton Punch: One of her higher-leveled technique includes this move.
- Ms. Fanservice: Without her trenchcoat, her attire is quite... revealing. Tight crop top with dangerously short shorts that shows some good portions of her legs.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: She seemed to have no qualms of showing some skin around.
- Our Werebeasts Are Different: Half-human and half-werecat! Her normal, everyday form is human-like (still retaining her golden eyes though) but she can grow cat ears and tails when she’s getting mad or being under stress.
- The Prankster
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: She has jet black colored hair and her skin complexion is rather pale. Combined with her golden feline-like pupils, it makes people often think that her appearance is somewhat creepy at times.
- She-Fu: Moves very quick and dynamically. She even includes some acrobatic movements in her moveset.
- Statuesque Stunner: One of the tallest female in cast, with 178 centimeters in height.
- Super Natural Gold Eyes: With golden irises and feline-like pupils, she’s obviously not human.
- Verbal Tic: "~nyah" in Japanese script or "~meow" in English script.
Esme Lee
- Seiyuu: Miyu Irino
- Butt-Monkey: Especially around Al and Marda.
- Iron Butt-Monkey: Marda managed to make him crash face-first onto a tree and all he got is a reddened face. That took one hell of a durability.
- Childhood Friends: With Alfonso.
- Crash-Into Hello: With Marda, although she didn't realize she had crashed him at least twice before finally noticing his existence...and proceeded to give him brutal assessment on his appearance.
- Love at First Sight: To Alessa...which immediately sunk upon seeing her and Dietrich's interaction.
- No Sense of Direction: He needs to ask around a lot just to get from place to place.
- Unlucky Everydude: Which doesn't go unnoticed by Dietrich.
- Shrinking Violet: He is...quite meek.
- Walking the Earth: What he initially wanted to do. However, his aforementioned No Sense of Direction seems to hinder this.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Chew Toy: As if his general misfortune in the original verse is not enough, it is amped even further in this AU. For example, getting dragged by Severine for Noel's complaining of her unjustified on-the-spot test.
Marda Beaxio
- Seiyuu: Rie Kugimiya
- A-Cup Angst: Big time. She'll instantly throw her trusty rapier to anyone daring enough to note her flat chest. Or unfortunate enough to be mistaken for doing so, as poor Esme learns.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: More so than Felena so far. Her attention span seems to barely last than quarter a minute.
- Berserk Button: As noted above, any slightest reference to her nonexistent breasts.
- Cool Big Sis: For the children in her family's orphanage back in her hometown.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Enough to cause Dietrich to Face Palm.
- Genki Girl: She is rather full of energy, to say the least.
- Insistent Terminology: Constantly calls Alessa and Dietrich as "the florist lady and her husband" no matter how many times they try to correct her on the latter.
- Jerkass: Towards Esme. Only time will tell whether her treatment on him will get better or not.
- No Sense of Direction: On par with Esme. And she has the gall to call him out for that.
- Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: With Rouen.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Apple pies!
- Why Did It Have to be Wolves?: And running waters far below the ground, although she likes heights. This is not Played for Laughs.
Rouen Stefano Trevori
- Seiyuu: Yūichi Nakamura
- Beleaguered Assistant: Inverted. Marda is his (self-proclaimed) assistant, and he is the one who usually has to clean up the mess caused by her.
- Fiction 500: His family is so wealthy to the point Rouen's father buying him several residences across multiple countries. Rouen is not amused, though.
- In-Series Nickname: "Rowwy", courtesy of Marda.
- You Called Me "X"; It Must Be Serious: When she actually starts calling Rouen by his name, it means something important.
- Mad Scientist: A benign one, but doesn't change the fact that he's a (in his player's words) "research-sexual".
- Not So Above It All: While this is expected due to his Mad Scientist nature, he's actually not much better compared to his self-proclaimed assistant — for instance, putting a recently kicked-out Esme on the same class as a stray cat when Marda questions him whether they can "adopt" the poor boy or not.
- Punch-Clock Hero: In a sense. He's an Order of Codris member, but doesn't care for its goal as much as interesting things they can provide for him.
- Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: With Marda.
- Specs of Awesome: In his Mad Scientist mode... which is often.
Juilesc Empire
Severine Magnell
- Seiyuu: Junko Minagawa
- Non-Human Sidekick: Oswald, an owl.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Big Damn Heroes: Oswald arrived in time to stop her from lashing onto Esme even further, effectively toning down his (still-unjustified) punishment into grade reduction.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Due to her hair-trigger nature.
- Cat Fight: When she and Medea are in the same room, expect this to happen.
- Sadist Teacher: Her fuse is even shorter than before, and as such, she has no qualms on throwing board markers and erasers on her students. And giving previously-unannounced tests.
- Comedic Sociopathy: Becomes the prime contributor of this as a result.
- Cosmic Plaything: Unlike Esme and eventually Sakilia, her case is not Played for Laughs.
- Magic Music: Of the song type.
Aerienne Rowland
- Seiyuu: Ayana Taketatsu
- Idiot Hair: Has one under her hat, if one of the sketches released by her player to be believed.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Asleep in Class: In Severine's class, no less. This is what basically drags everyone in the class into trouble.
- Sleepyhead: And she has the gall to fall asleep again even after a marker was launched onto her head.
- Digging Yourself Deeper/Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: If only she hadn't slept in class in the first place and provoked Severine even further...
Aerien Rowland
- Seiyuu: Hiro Shimono
- Idiot Hair: A sketch released by his player shows that he has one under his hat, much like his sister.
Charlotte Bûche

- Theme Naming: Of sweets.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Student Council President: The vice-president, to be exact.

- Berserk Button: He doesn't seem to enjoy whenever someone talks about height
- Good Luck Charm: His bunny plushie.
- Theme Naming: Of sweets.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: His complaining on Severine's unjustified test. Poor Esme has to take the blame for it.
Éclair Bûche
- Seiyuu: Daisuke Namikawa
- Theme Naming: Of sweets.
Wolfram Schultheiss
- Seiyuu: Kazuya Nakai
- Animal Motifs / Animal Theme Naming: Wolves. His name means "wolf raven" in German and some of his attacks contain the word "wolf" in them.
- Badass Biker: When he's not on his job in the military, he rides a Harley Davidson-like motorbike and uses a biker jacket.
- Blood Knight: He's always up for a good fight to test his skills.
- Bottomless Magazines: His bullets are seem o be unlimited, since he's rarely seen to ever reload it. Eventually subverted, as he needs to reload his bullets once done attacking and will be quite vulnerable during his cooldown.
- Coat Cape: His jacket sometimes serves no purpose other than dramatically flowing in the wind.
- Charged Attack: His attack, Smokey Raven, requires charging to add more damage.
- Determinator: He doesn't really know when to give up and when to lose it.
- Disappeared Dad: His dad left him and his family when he was young. Since he cannot take that abandonment lightly, he absolutely dislikes it it when someone mention his name in front of him.
- Elemental Powers: Playing with Fire
- Gatling Good: He has a big-ass gatling gun in his arsenal and later utilizes it in some of his techniques.
- The Gunslinger: Type A (The Trick Shot), Type B (The Vaporizer), Type C (The Woo).
- Guns Akimbo: He uses two handguns at once.
- Gun Fu: Being the experienced gun user he is, he can use physical moves combined with the bullets spam.
- Having a Blast: Expect this to happen a lot with his bazooka and rocket launcher. Moreso in his Level 3 Soul Limit Break.
- Hyperspace Arsenal: How does he even take out those big-ass bazooka, gatling gun, and rocket launcher out of nowhere?!
- Hot-Blooded: Matching his elemental powers.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Although he can be a total jerk towards everyone, he loves his family and is willing to protect them no matter what the cost. He does show his care for his comrades too, though he wouldn't want to admit this.
- My Sister Is Off-Limits: He is extremely protective of Fuchs.
- Smug Super: He often acts cocky and smug around his comrades, especially towards his juniors.
- Smug Snake: He's actually a pretty good strategist too, although his heated temper usually makes him lose his cool before he actually thinks of a strategy.
- Took a Level in Badass: Quickly gets promoted to a major in the age of 21, making him as the youngest mayor in the history of Juilesc Military Guild.
- Trash Talk: Befitting his rude and cocky personality, he taunts his enemy a lot. You can safely assume that he respects a certain person if he doesn't trash-talk them.
- Walking Armory: Two handguns, two machine guns, a gatling gun, a bazooka, several grenades, and a giant rocket launcher with added Bottomless Magazines… what else?
Fuchs Schultheiss
- Seiyuu: Fumiko Orikasa
- The Ace: She is said to be an excellent student in her academy and is a skilled marksman herself.
- Animal Motifs: Foxes.
- Automatic Crossbow: Her preferred weapon. The arrows can be reloaded once she’s done attacking.
- Brother–Sister Team: With her brother, Wolfram.
- Charged Attack: Similar to player’s gun and bow-based characters, she has a charged attack that allows her to buff up more damage.
- Elemental Powers: Star Power (her attacks’ names are based on constellations) and Light 'em Up
- Genki Girl: Quite of an example. She’s pretty much optimistic and upbeat for most of the time.
- Go-Getter Girl: Fuchs can be considered as one, since she’s actively partaking in most of academic events. She is also seem to be rather popular too.
- Hot-Blooded: Not as much as her older brother and it seems like Wolfram influences her a bit.
- Multishot: Like Kiku, another character of the player’s who’s also an archer, Fuchs can shoot multiple arrows at once with a proper timing.
- Plucky Girl: Aforementioned in the Genki Girl part, she is optimistic and much like her brother, is rather hard to be taken down.
- Statuesque Stunner: Stands at 172 centimeters and she’s also considered as attractive by many.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: While still quite feminine in personality, Fuchs is not exactly considered as boyish, but her manners are quite spunky and hobbies are considered as more tomboy than feminine.
Raizel von Edelstein
- Seiyuu: Rie Tanaka
- Cold Iron: Like most fairies in fictions, her weakness is iron, as her skin would get burnt if she made contact with one.
- Exposed to the Elements: Despite living in a snowy region and only wearing a sleeveless backless mini-dress plus thigh-high boots and long gloves as warmers, she seems to be perfectly fine with it.
- Flower Motifs: Roses.
- Hot Librarian: She works as a librarian in a local library of Iodca.
- Ice Queen: For most of the time, she acts cold and distant to mostly everyone, but hides a softer side underneath.

- World's Most Beautiful Woman: At least in her hometown, Iodca. Justified, as her species is a One-Gender Inhumanly Beautiful Race.
Province of Ezewild/Amnaresta Kingdom
Matraya "Maya" Ratree Vishnavatu
- Seiyuu: Marina Inoue
- A-Cup Angst: Well, she is not exactly that flatchested, but when compared to the busty human form of Neela, she has the right to feel that way. To make it worse, Ardha often rubs the unfortunate fact on her face.
- Action Girl
- Big Eater: She easily gets hungry at times, especially after a long period of training and then spends her time to eat, big time.
- Braids of Action: The single braid variant.

- Fearless Fool: Eventually, her dad and Ardha had to beat it out of her.
- Flechette Storm: Her technique, Nagapasha is all about sending her poisonous darts to the enemies.
- Fragile Speedster: Very quick, but her health bar is rather low. Her Limit Break turns her into a temporary Lightning Bruiser.
- Hot-Blooded: She is very passionate in her training as the next chief of Svargiya Mandira's tomb guardian.
- Idiot Heroine: A female example. She’s definitely not an idiot per se. She’s just too hotblooded, reckless, and naive, and it often leads her into making poor decisions.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Her tendency to act impulsive often leads her into making poor decisions during battle and her father or Ardha had to snap her out of it at some point.
- She-Fu: Her moves includes some backflips, cartwheels, and overall, very acrobatic.
- Skilled, but Naive: Even though she has much potential and is very strong, she doesn’t have much experience with the outside world and tends to be rather impulsive while making decisions during battle.
- Tattoo as Character Type: The Organizational and Cultural type. The tattoo was meant to associate her with her clan, the tomb guardian, and also to embrace her heritage.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: with her sidekick, Ardha. They constantly argue and tease each other, but they do also care for each other’s well-being. Ardha is also proved to be very loyal towards Maya and her family.
Ardha
- Seiyuu: Masakazu Morita
- Beleaguered Assistant: He sometimes questions why he does have to end up with such impulsive and naive young teenager like Maya.
- Chivalrous Pervert: He is easily attracted to girls (especially the buxom ones) and uses his human form to his advantage.

- Sword and Gun: His weapons of choice. A rapier and a gun, to be exact.

- Flower Motif: Lotus
Kasha
- Seiyuu: Megumi Toyoguchi
- Almighty Mom: No one, not even Kasha's father, dares to mess with her mother.
- Big Eater: Especially when meat is in sight. Ironic considering her job as a diver/fisher.
- Boisterous Bruiser
- Cool Big Sis: For her three younger siblings.
- Idiot Hair: Though she's not necessarily stupid.
- Javelin Thrower: A harpoon thrower, to be precise.
- Harpoon Gun: Capable of using one to increase her attack's stability. She prefers not to use it most of the time though, citing it as "a hassle".
- Kick Chick: Her legs are her secondary weapon.
- Lamarck Was Right: Apparently inherits her fearsome strength from both of her parents. None of her siblings displays so much strength as hers so far, though that may be because they're still growing.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Similar to Ferman. Ironic, considering how huge both of her parents are.
- Super-Strength: So much that she manages to lift a giant swordfish without trouble.
Ravi Shinavathra
- Seiyuu: Tomoaki Maeno
- Accidental Pervert: At one point, one of his sisters thought he was one when Neela tried to seduce him with her human form's body. It's not what it looks like though.
- Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: He often acts smug and arrogant towards people he deems as weaker than him, such as Maya.

- Elemental Powers: Dishing Out Dirt
- Extremity Extremist: Aside of using his weapon, he fights using barehanded fists and kicks.
- He-Man Woman Hater: Being surrounded by hot-blooded female siblings, he tends to think of girls as troublesome, demanding and bossy, especially the hot-blooded tomboyish ones. Despite his view, he claims that his ideal type is the calm and lady-like ones and he is interested with the idea of marriage. Neela seems to be quite of an exception to him, though.
- Hot-Blooded: He acts like this at times, but usually he wants to stay cool as much as possible.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He might seem to be a jerk and hates girls on the outside, but he can’t seem to leave people in trouble, even if it has to be the type of girls that he dislikes.
- Jerkass: Towards Maya.
- Nosebleed: His first reaction when he saw Neela transforming in front of him… naked.
- Religious Bruiser: Since he was raised in a strictly religious background, he quite fits into this trope.
- Tattoo as Character Type: Has a tattoo written in Sanskrit on his back, The Cultural Type.
- That Came Out Wrong: When he blurts out to Kasha that Neela is "his pet". In her human form. After a brief pause Kasha immediately assumes the worst.
Neela

- Godiva Hair: Luckily, her long silver-colored hair covers up her breasts whenever she transforms into her human form.
- Ms. Fanservice: The human transformation leaves her completely nude.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: And she acts like it was nothing in front of her master while he nosebleeds himself to death.
- Naked First Impression: Not so long after Neela was rescued, she decided to transform in front of Ravi, deeming that “human male likes this form of hers” and it ended up with him nosebleeding and fainting.
- Pure Energy: Like Ardha, she can fire off chi blasts.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Justified, since she is an albino hedgehog. Although Neela is usually cheerful and cute, you’d still better watch out when you try to hurt her master.
- Rescue Romance: Neela decided to follow Ravi after he saved her from a poacher’s trap.
- Sleep-Mode Size: Also subverted. Like Ardha, she's most often seen in her human form, but requires reverting to her hedgehog form to restore her energy after transforming.
- Stripperific: Her human form covers up nowadays, but still ending up with an extremely skimpy outfit.
- Vocal Dissonance: In her kaiju form.
Chernelle Republic
Adrias Azwell
- Seiyuu: Takehito Koyasu
- Alliterative Name: Though Rudolf suspects his surname is a false one. He's not too far-off.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Putting aside his antics, he's a decent fighter and caster, as well as seemingly knowledgeable about Black Calamity.
- Berserk Button/Beware the Silly Ones: He is...not amused upon receiving the anonymous letter from Order of Codris ordering him to exterminate an upcoming Black Calamity in Yuria, his official retirement be damned. It is unknown what exactly the button is, though: the Order in general, his past, or the person who sent the letter.
- Butt-Monkey: He is intended as Mel Fera's "punching bag" by his player. Just to name a few of his misfortune: getting regularly threatened to be thrown into jail for his "indecency", roughly dragged away by Rudolf once he goes too far with his antics, or getting frozen by Sakilia.
- Iron Butt-Monkey: They don't seem to stop him. At all.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Especially around Lisette. Or Rudolf, who very rarely takes it well.
- Dark and Troubled Past: From what is available so far, he was part of Order of Codris' Sweeper Division (and apparently an excellent one) until he failed to exterminate a Black Calamity during his final mission, killing a girl of yet-known significance named Marion as a result.
- Detect Evil: In a sense. He is capable of pinpointing location and exact number of Black Calamity and its fragments, courtesy of being a former member of Sweeper Division.
- Dissonant Serenity/Tranquil Fury: In his Tale of Judgment poem spell, he's completely calm even when the thunders he summons fall right in front of him.
- Emotional Powers: Supposedly, his poem magic derives from this instead of Magic Music kind like Iona.
- Hammerspace: Averted. This is what basically prevents him from using Discordant Edge skill during the first battle in Yuria - he forgot to bring his guitar.
- Handsome Lech: He'll flirt with anyone, men and women alike, if he finds them interesting.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners and Vitriolic Best Buds: With Rudolf.
- Jack of All Stats: He has overall balanced magic-oriented stat, apart from his relatively high DEX/low luck.
- Large Ham: BIG TIME. He is generally agreed to be the hammiest among the cast so far.
- Magic Music: Only for his Discordant Edge skill, while the rest fit something else.
- Mysterious Past: Not even Rudolf knows what he did before coming to Yuria.
- No Sense of Personal Space: The fact that he immediately grabbed Lisette's hand in one of his rehearsals says it all. Of course, he may have learned his lesson now that he knows Lisette is a sister-in-training...
- Oh, Crap!: His reaction upon finding that Lisette is a sister of the church right after flirting with her. It doesn't seem to stop him from constantly flirting with her later, though.
- Power Fist: His weapons are a pair of brass knuckles. Except Rufus and Rudolf implied it's actually not.
- Pretty Freeloaders: He stays in his friend Rudolf's place and likes to cause trouble for him.
- Purple Prose: Notorious for this, although less so in his poem spells.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Even more so, as Sakilia mentioned that the last time he got bored with the class along with the students, he invited them to play hide-and-seek.
- The Gadfly: Possibly, considering he takes great delight in annoying Sakilia off.
- Too Kinky to Torture: While his original counterpart has shades of this, this becomes more blatant in this alternate universe. He regularly gets thrown hard-cover book by Sakilia once he pisses her off and seems to enjoy it, only stopping for the rest of his students' well-being.
Rudolf Ashverge
- Seiyuu: Jurota Kosugi
- Beleaguered Assistant: He's the one who usually has to clean up the mess caused by Adrias' shenanigans.
- The Big Guy: Definitely the biggest among the cast so far (194 cm/88 kg).
- City Guards: Part of Yuria's guards, specifically. Much like Alessa, however, he mostly acts as a reserve/support due to his workload.
- Combat Medic: Has First Aid and Resuscitate skills, which heal small amount of HP for an ally.
- Deadpan Snarker: Especially around Adrias.
- Dynamic Entry: During the second battle in Yuria. Adrias is not amused since his friend's attack ends up provoking the fragment they're fighting, prompting it to attack him.
- Face of a Thug/Gentle Giant: He may look big and intimidating, but is a decent person. As long as your name is not Adrias, that is.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Adrias.
- Lightning Bruiser: Yes, he is one despite his build.
- Power Fist: His weapons are a pair of spiked knuckles. He's the one who taught Adrias hand-to-hand combat.
- Satellite Character: For Adrias to some extent.
- Supreme Chef/Real Men Cook: Well, he works as a chef in a restaurant, after all.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Constantly annoyed by Adrias, but nonetheless cares for his well-being.
Lisette Anaïs Bellerose
- Seiyuu: Mamiko Noto
- Actual Pacifist: Does not like hand-to-hand combat and basically any type of violence, but she will fight when it's needed.
- Beam Spam: One of her preferred methods of attacking. Utilized in one of her techniques, Fiat Lux.
- Chaste Heroine: She never actually had an in-depth interaction with her opposite gender (since she is raised in a religious community and she is a sister-in-training) and will blush like mad upon the smallest physical contact.
- Detect Evil: Somewhat. Like Adrias, she is capable of locating the fragments of Black Calamity, but it is most likely based on her mere intuition.
- Everything's Better with Sparkles: Her attacks consist lots of sparkle effects... which can bedazzle her friend or foe alike.
- Feminine Women Can Cook: She cooks for herself and the church's resident. She also buys the ingredients in local market on her spare time.
- Friend to All Living Things: Proclaims herself as a "friend to all Holy Father's creations."
- Genki Girl: It's very rare to see Lisette with a sad expression on her face.
- Girly Run: Her usual running stance. To the point it made her knees look glued together.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Being blonde doesn't mean that she's dumb, she is an angel!
- Holiday Volunteering: What she usually does during her day-offs.
- Luminescent Blush: When Adrias was flirting with her, this happened. Actually quite a lot, especially when she's having a physical contact with the opposite gender or whenever someone is flirting with her.
- Magical Girl: By just looking at her weapon, her attire and her techniques, you can safely assume that her character is based on this trope.
- Named Weapons: Her baton, Soleil Radieux ("Radiant Sun").
- Parental Abandonment: Implied. She has no known blood-related family. When she was a baby, a senior nun found her and raised her along with the father in the church.
- The Power of the Sun: Her baton is shaped like a sun. One of her techniques can create an artificial sun and uses the solar energy to burn her enemies into crisp.
- Skip of Innocence: Sometimes she can be seen walking this way.
- Squishy Wizard: Has a high magical attribute, but low physical attack stats.
- White Magician Girl: She is a nun, after all. Since she has more supporting techniques more than attacking techniques, she can be considered as a White Mage too.
Sakilia Echofon
- Seiyuu: Yōko Hikasa
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Keille.
- Butt-Monkey: While not as blatant as Esme, it is clear that the world of Mel Fera isn't exactly favoring her, as explained below.
- Chronic Heroine Syndrome: She can't seem to leave people in trouble, even if said person is Adrias. She eventually shapes up to become a parodied version of this trope, as everyone basically dumps every mundane duty to her and she has no chance or heart to refuse...while all she wants to do is to go home.
- Death Glare: Quite prone to this, and a chilly one too. Her glare literally makes her surroundings colder.
- Elemental Powers: An Ice Person and Making a Splash.
- Magic Music: Similar to Adrias using his guitar to use Discordant Edge, she uses her harp for her spells.
- Never My Fault: Due to her ego, she occasionally descends into this, such as when she freezes Adrias for the second time by complete accident. To be fair, Keille can be blamed for that due to surprising her, but since she actually intended to freeze Adrias before backpedaling, well...
- Not So Above It All: Often tries to be the only sane woman around, but her train of thought often makes her no better than everyone else around her.
- Hate at First Sight: To Adrias, and for understandable reason.
- Statuesque Stunner: She is quite tall (170 cm, on par with Lisette), and definitely considered attractive by people around her.
Lascantia Academy tropes:
- Absurdly Powerful Student Council: She has no qualms on giving teacher - Adrias, at least - lesson if she deems them being "unruly". Not that it stops him.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Aerienne, Sumire, and especially Esme could've gotten off-the-hook easily if she hadn't reminded Severine her original purpose of being in the staff room: punishing said three instead of getting into Cat Fight with Medea.
Keille Urdgard
- Seiyuu: Hiroshi Kamiya
- The Eeyore: He's pretty glum, to put it mildly.
- Knight in Sour Armor: Described as one by his player.
- May–December Romance: With Sakilia, which is also why he doesn't want to admit his feeling for her.
- The Napoleon: Keille by no means is short (181 cm), but apparently due to his comrades back in Wildefarea Knighthood are mostly taller than him, he develops a bit of height complex.
- Older Than They Look: It'd be hard to believe that he's 27 years old due to his baby-face. His height (which is short by knight's standards) doesn't help.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Effeminate men in his case, due to a knight with such appearance back in his days constantly messing with him. Played for Laughs.
Alfonso Lombardi
- Seiyuu: Tatsuhisa Suzuki
- Hot-Blooded: Almost literally. He is so hot-blooded that he manages to free himself from Sakilia's icebergs within very short period and unharmed.
- Idiot Hero: Rufus and Stella definitely think so.
- The Klutz: His Establishing Character Moment has him falling to a canal in Coraloz.
- Oral Fixation: Almost never seen without his cigarette.
- Pointy-Haired Boss: He's not that incompetent, but doesn't stop him from being viewed as such by Rufus and Stella.
Rufus Beschett
- Seiyuu: Toshiyuki Morikawa
- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite his occasional annoyance towards Ferman, Rufus truly loves his younger brother.
- Battle Butler: Appears as one, although not a textbook example of this trope.
- Beleaguered Assistant: The poor guy is the one who has to hold the bag for Al's nonsensical behavior. Unlike Rudolf to Adrias, things won't get better for him at any time soon.
- Blood Knight: Despite his polite and gentlemanly appearance, Rufus is much more excitable during combat.
- Combat Medic: Has a lesser version of Alessa's Healing Aura spell and enhanced version of Rudolf's Resuscitate.
- Dominatrix: Has shades of this.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: The responsible sibling to Ferman.
- One Head Taller: A familial example with his younger brother.
- Only Sane Man: The closest one in Al's group. However...
- Not So Above It All: Even he is not immune to the craziness around him, especially with his whip-happy tendency.
- Real Men Cook/Supreme Chef: He is really good at making desserts and brewing tea.
- Servile Snarker: If there is one who has to comment on Alfonso's general stupidity, it's generally Rufus who takes the role.
- Stone Wall: His VIT is only slightly lower than Dietrich.
- Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Despite how he appears, he genuinely cares for his comrades, especially Ferman and Stella.
- Support Party Member: Rufus has perfectly balanced STR-MAG at 50-50, which makes him ineffective for attacking unless buffed beforehand. This is also reflected by his skills which are dominated by buff and recovery types, although he also possesses offensive status-inflicting skills.
- Team Dad and Team Mom: Tends to serve both roles due to how hopeless his boss is.
- The Glasses Come Off: Literally during intense combats. Justified since wearing them can be dangerous in such situation, so he temporarily reinforces his eyesight with magic instead.
- Those Two Guys: With Ferman. Stella may also count.
- Undying Loyalty: As much as he hates to admit it, to Al.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: A one-sided version. Alfonso is more than happy to call Rufus as his buddy. Rufus...not so much.
- With Friends Like These...: His general reaction regarding Al.
Ferman Beschett
- Seiyuu: Daisuke Sakaguchi
- Annoying Younger Sibling: To Rufus occasionally. However...
- Big Brother Instinct/Morality Pet: ...it doesn't change the fact that he understands Ferman's value as his younger brother and the only family member that's left for him.
- Attack! Attack! Attack!: To sum up his tactic in general. Justified since unlike Rufus, Ferman is hardly the type who likes to think things through.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Ferman's stats and skill set make him suitable for direct offense, but at the cost of requiring somebody else to bail him out once he gets himself into tight spot (eg. running out of HP).
- Bottomless Magazines: It is never known how many replacement energy packs those Ferman carries for his chainsaw.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite his quirks, Ferman is scarily well-versed about explosives.
- Cute and Psycho: Shades of this. While Ferman is a decent person outside battle, it doesn't change the fact that he is a little too fond of his chainsaw and explosives.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: The foolish sibling to Rufus.
- Lightning Bruiser: While Ferman's base VIT and AGI are rather balanced, he is still given advantage through his Swordsman-class AGI bonus.
- Older Than They Look: Looks like 14-15, but is actually 17.
- Playing with Fire: In his Lv2 SLB.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Ferman is one of the shortest male characters so far (161 cm, taller than Noel but shorter than Esme), but the fact that he is categorized into Swordsman class makes it clear that he packs quite a punch despite his stature.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Uses small-scale explosives beside his chainsaw in combat.
- Those Two Guys: Again, with his brother. Stella may also count.
- Undying Loyalty: Despite his occasional habit of getting Al and others into trouble through his unpredictability, he'll stick with Al until the very end.
Stella
- Seiyuu: Saori Goto
- Creepy Doll: Uses one in one of her skills.
- Flechette Storm: One of her skill, Fouette en Tournant, is this.
- Little Miss Badass: Although not as strong as Ferman and Rufus, as a member of a mafia organization, she is this.
- Spectacular Spinning: She spins in most of her skills.
Xavahnia Kingdom
Zarfan Al-Jazari
- Seiyuu: Akira Ishida
- Aloof Big Brother: To his younger stepbrother, Farshid.
- Black Magic: His trademark skills.
- Blood Magic: One of his special skill, Melting Blood, makes him transfers his blood to his enemy as in placing a curse while he becomes a live voodoo doll.
- Costume Porn: It's fabulous, complete with gems and a peacock feather.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Before being adopted by the current sultan, he was an unnamed orphan with no parents (implied Parental Abandonment) wandering around the streets of Zarakka. Sultan was interested with his psychic powers so he adopted him as his child and made him a vizor of the country when he grew up.
- Cultured Badass: Well, he does drink tea in his spare time and is pretty much knowledgeable about Xavahnian's history and culture.
- Death Glare: Gives this to the castle attendants whenever he’s giving off a threat towards them.
- Elemental Powers: Casting a Shadow (he has the greatest affinity with this element), Playing with Fire (used in some of his techniques).
- Even the Guys Want Him: Both males and females alike, describe his good-looking appearance as "unearthly" and "bewitchingly attractive".
- Evil Sounds Deep: His usual voice can be described as deep and whispery (some describe it as sensual), but is slightly lighter whenever he's being nice.
- Faux Affably Evil: He speaks politely to mostly anyone (although this is just a ruse) and he's very sophisticated also knowledgeable. He likes to make misery out of people when he deems them to be irking him off.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: He starts off as a homeless kid with magical powers and gets adopted by the Sultan. Soon after, he mastered dark arts and eventually rises to power when the Sultan appointed him as the grand vizier of Xavahnian Kingdom.
- Genius Bruiser: He's undoubtedly intelligent, he's one of the greatest wizard in the Xavahnian Kingdom and he hits hard.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Well, at least his hair is qualified as long enough for that.
- Manipulative Bastard: Secretly planning to screw his entire adopted family to usurp the throne. The Distaff Counterpart to Medea’s Manipulative Bitch.
- Mind over Matter: Has psychokinesis powers to move inanimate objects at will.
- My Significance Sense Is Tingling: he can somehow predict the future by looking at the constellations/cosmic objects, although it’s not always 100% accurate (which makes him somewhat of a Seer).
- Named Weapons: His staff is called Azazel.
- The Red Mage: His skills consist a fair mix between attacking skills and ailment-inducing skills.
- Sleepyhead: He dozes off quite often, possibly because he often stays up late.
- Soft-Spoken Sadist: Nobody really knows about his true sadistic side but he is indeed soft-spoken.
- Smart People Play Chess: What he does with Farshid in his spare time. As expected, he usually wins.
- Smoking Is Cool: Sometimes he can be seen smoking from a traditional Xavahnian hookah.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: He has his snarkier moments with Medea.
- Villainous Friendship: With Medea. She often flirts with him, but it's not like he cares about it anyway.
- Unholy Matrimony: Due to this, people often mistakes them as couple.
Medea
- Seiyuu: Sayaka Ohara
- All of the Other Reindeer: The kids who lived in the same orphanage as her never liked her because she was "different", though she never knows the exact reason why. She never minds it, though.
- Casting a Shadow: Has the highest affinity with this element.
- Combat Sadomasochist: She openly admits that she enjoys inflicting pain on others and gets excitement on doing such. Apart from the not-so-subtle implications in her skill set and her obvious choice of weapon, she seems to have no qualms with being beaten up and even enjoys the sensation.
- Dance Battler / Magic Dance: In a similar manner to Sakuya.
- Depraved Bisexual: Oh, so much, although she's more of a pansexual.
- Femme Fatale: The fact that many of her skills and Limit Break have sexual undertones doesn't help either.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: She's just a kid from an orphanage who was sold to prostitution before she met Zarfan.
- Kiss of Death: Some of her skills. An even straighter example is her final Limit Break.
- Manipulative Bitch: The Distaff Counterpart of Zarfan.
- Ms. Fanservice: Though some can come off as Fan Disservice instead.
- Mysterious Past: Not even Medea has an idea about it. She doesn't seem to care much about it, though.
- Troll: She likes to play around and tease enemies and friends alike, sometimes even going overboard with it. After all, this is one of her definitions of having fun other than combat sadomasochism.
- Villainous Friendship: With Zarfan. She flirts around with him a lot but he doesn't seem to care about it.
- Unholy Matrimony: For the fact that people often mistake them as a couple.
Kuon Empire
Fujiwara "Kiku" no Kikuhime
- Seiyuu: Ami Koshimizu
- Badass Adorable: And she is nicknamed "The Rabbit" by her brothers.
- Bow and Sword in Accord: Her weapons of choice.
- Cool Big Sis: To Hotaru, Sakuya's younger sister.
- Charged Attack: Her first attack, Howling Blizzard, requires a longer charging time to buff some more damage.
- Elemental Powers: Shock and Awe and An Ice Person
- Fragile Speedster: Her speed is considerably higher than average, but her defense stats are quite frail.
- Glass Cannon: Her attack power is considerably higher than average, but her defense stats are quite frail.
- Hot-Blooded: Influenced by her older brother Toranosuke and also her father.
- Iaijutsu Practitioner: Although she tends to rely on her archery skills more than her swordmanship, her iaijutsu skill is not something to be messed around with.
- I Have Brothers: The reason why she's really into martial arts more than girlier and feminine activities are probably because of she has two older brothers.
- In-Series Nickname: Nicknamed "the Rabbit" by her older brothers and "Barbaric Girl" by Sakuya.
- Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: When she ran, fought, and shot Hotaru’s kidnappers with her formal, long kimono. Not that she cares when her clothes got messy.
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: The Masculine Girl to Sakuya's Feminine Guy.
- Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: The Energetic Girl to Sakuya's Savvy Guy
- Multishot: She can fire off two to five arrows at once or even more than that.
- Named Weapons: Her bow, Hakuryuu ("White Dragon") and her katana, Kokuryuu ("Black Dragon").
- No Guy Wants an Amazon: Explains why guys are scared of her, since she's stronger than most of them.
- One of the Boys: Well, she has two older brothers, alright...

- Royals Who Actually Do Something: She's from a noble lineage and she can kick your ass!
- She Cleans Up Nicely: Put her in a formal kimono. Go on.
- Sibling Team: Along with her two older brothers, Toranosuke and Takamaru.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Even though she acts like a boy for most of the time, she's also shown to be easily liking things or animals she considers as cute. Moreover, she likes gardening too.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Sakuya. Creates a massive Belligerent Sexual Tension between both of them and even her eldest brother supports both of them to get together. Her second oldest brother doesn't really agree to this.
Fujiwara no Toranosuke
- Seiyuu: Tomokazu Seki
- Beware the Silly Ones / Beware the Nice Ones: He’s somewhat humorous, loves to joke around and a bit goofy, but he’ll kick yo ass if you push the wrong button.
- BFS: His weapon of choice.
- Big Brother Mentor: To Kiku and Takamaru.

- Determinator: He influences his younger sister too.
- Elemental Powers: Playing with Fire
- Flaming Sword: Since he's a user of Fire element, expect this to happen quite a lot.
- Happily Married: To his wife, Fuyuhime.
- Having a Blast: One of his Soul Limit Break is a powerful blast of meteor falling from the sky and explodes.
- Horse of a Different Color: Has an ability to ride his summon, the tiger Toramaru.

- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red Oni to Takamaru's Blue Oni.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The Manly Man to Takamaru's Sensitive Guy.
- Shipper on Deck: He loves teasing Kiku a lot about her relationship with Sakuya. He thinks that they complete each other. Takamaru does not really agree to this.

- Weapon Across the Shoulder: He rests the blunt edge of his giant sword on his shoulder sometimes.
Fujiwara no Takamaru

- Cultured Badass: He's a natural badass and he appreciates still traditional culture while still following them.
- Bash Brothers: With his older brother, Toranosuke.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: He’s usually quiet, polite, and reserved, but that doesn’t mean he can’t kick your ass and slice his enemies into half.

- Feather Flechettes: One of his joint attack with Washiou utilizes this move.

- Shipping Torpedo: He doesn’t seem to think that Kiku and Sakuya are befitting to each other due to their contrasting personalities and looks.

- Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Oh, yes he is.
- Tornado Move: His final regular technique, Tachikaze ("Earth-shattering Gale") creates several typhoons to destroy his surroundings.
Kagurazaki Sakuya

Kagurazaki Hotaru
- Seiyuu: Kana Hanazawa
- All of the Other Reindeer: Her family, with the exception of Sakuya, constantly puts her down because she doesn't live up to their name.
- Damsel in Distress: She was kidnapped at the beginning of the story. Turns out her kidnapping was done by Order of Codris who meant to protect her.
- Extreme Doormat: Averted. She gives the impression, but desperately wants to come out of the shell and break the image.

Kuzunoha Suigetsu
- Seiyuu: Takahiro Sakurai
- Battle Butler: Mostly to his master, Kuzunoha Hattori.
- Beleaguered Assistant: His attempts to retrieve his young lady usually ends up in a failure due to her treatments towards her bodyguards. It seems like that he's taking it to the next level...

- But Not Too Foreign: Strongly implied. In his case, his Icy Blue Eyes may indicate his foreign blood.

- Elemental Powers: Casting a Shadow, An Ice Person, and Making a Splash
- Fashionable Asymmetry: His right sleeve is absent.

- Friend to All Living Things: Behind his stoic and professional exterior, he hides a gentle heart, especially towards children and animals.
- Hand Seals: Used during casting his jutsu-based attacks.
- Highly-Visible Ninja: Averted. He wears dark-colored outfit to allow himself camouflaging during the night along with a disguise mask to hide his identity.
- Icy Blue Eyes: One of his most noticeable features. His eye color is considered as unusual in Kuon, indicating that he might not be a Kuon native (possibly half-Kuon). They fit well with his element and personality.
- Mask Power: Whether he conceals his mouth or his entire face with his kitsune mask, he's still an awesome badass.
- Meaningful Name: Suigetsu means "water moon" (or "moon reflected on water") in Japanese, reflecting his water and ice-based techniques.
- Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: People often think of him as a creepy and cold-blooded shinobi who only cares for killing and money, but there’s only few who also know him as a kind-hearted, helpful man who is also a Friend to All Living Things.
- Ninja
- Ninja Run: Complete with Flash Step.
- Stock Ninja Weaponry: In his case, his weapons are a chained sickle (Kusarigama) and a set of kunai attached to wires that can be used to attack or bind his enemies.
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: A male example. His hair color is a very dark shade of blue while he also has a lighter skin complexion when compared to native Kuon residents.
- Real Men Wear Pink / Supreme Chef: Though not many that would know about this, but apparently his master Hattori also taught him how to cook—and he’s even more talented than he could imagine!
- Reverse Grip: Sometimes he can be seen wielding his kusarigama or kunai this way.
- Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Usually seen emotionless with stoic expression and is pretty much coolheaded, but hides a gentle interior behind his cool exterior.
