    Abaddomon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/abbadomon.jpg
Debut: Digivice:
Attacks: Gaze Eraser, Gala-Lightless, White Liner

A mysterious Digimon that evolved enormously by absorbing the negative data that the Network is overflowing with beyond its limit. Its raison d'être is to transcend good and evil, and return everything to nothingness. It bites into Digimon and the Digital World itself with the large mouth at its center and the mouths on its numerous tentacles, and after doing so, only blank data is left behind. The birth of Abbadomon is undoubtedly a crisis for all Digital Worlds, so it is conjectured that some Digital Worlds from other dimensions have been annihilated by it.

Abaddomon is the final form of Negamon in Digimon Adventure: (2020), evolving from Negamon's giant form, and is the final opponent that the children face. As an added fun fact, it is also currently the first Digimon of any level in alphabetical order.

  • Beam Spam: Its Gaze Eraser is this due to the sheer number of eyes it fires beams from.
  • Breath Weapon: Its White Liner fires a data-erasing beam from its central mouth.
  • Combat Tentacles: Has several of them that it uses to attack, each with several mouths that erase data.
  • The Corruption: It is the result of a Digimon absorbing massive amounts of negative data from the internet.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Appearance aside, it devours the data of both Digimon and the Digital World with its many mouths, reducing it to a formless blank state. And it's already done so to multiple Digital Worlds, making it a multiversal threat. It has the Species Unknown type and the Unknown attribute, putting it in the same category with other world-enders such as Apocalymon, Quartzmon, and Ordinemon.
  • The End of the World as We Know It: Several Digital Worlds have fallen because of this thing.
  • Expy: It can be considered a more powerful Apocalymon, being an Eldritch Abomination that can completely eviscerate its opponent and has a smaller, more humanoid true form residing within.
  • Eye Beams: Its Gaze Eraser fires beams from all of the eyes on its tentacles. Like its other attacks, this completely erases any data it hits.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: All of its many, many eyes are on its tentacles.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: It's named "Abbadomon" in the Digimon Reference Book, even though it's based on the Hebrew "abaddon".
  • Meaningful Name: It's named after the Hebrew word "abaddon", meaning "doom" or "destruction".
  • No Name Given: Initially. It appeared in the Digivice: toy without a name or any official artwork. It would later appear over a year later, in the second-to-last episode of Digimon Adventure: (2020), with its name finally revealed.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Abaddomon exists to return everything to nothingness.
  • One-Hit Kill: Each of its attacks are able to turn its opponent into blank data.
  • Planet Eater: It eats Digital Worlds. That's right. Digital Worlds, plural.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: All of its eyes are bright red, though they don't glow.
  • Shout-Out: Part of its design was inspired by characters from Fullmetal Alchemist. The primary inspirations appear to be the homunculus Pride, who also uses Combat Tentacles, and Father, whose true form is a dark sphere with a mouth. It also resembles Shademon and Eyesmon, somewhat.
  • Swallowed Whole: Its Gala-Lightless consists of it doing this with its main mouth, which erases any data it consumes.
  • Too Many Mouths: It has many extra mouths on its tentacles, with the same data-erasing properties as the one on its main body.

Abaddomon Core

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/abbadomon_core.jpg
Attacks: Eclipse None, Binjerado, Death Charge, Gaze Eraser

The main body that exists within Abbadomon, it is the true form of Abbadomon. It seeks and prefers nothingness, and rejects everything except nothingness. After it turns everything into nothingness, it disappears itself, fulfilling its purpose.

  • Arm Cannon: Its Death Charge extends a barrel from the mouth on its left arm to fire energy shots.
  • Badass Cape: Its cape is covered in even more eyes and mouths and is part of its body.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its Binjerado is a lance formed by transforming its right hand.
  • Creepily Long Arms: Its arms are so long that its hands rech past its knees.
  • Evil Counterpart: It bears a striking resemblance to Omegamon, and its hands can morph into a sword and cannon just like it. Its anime counterpart is even seen holding its own against Omegamon until The Power of Friendship kicks in.
  • Eye Beams: Its Gaze Eraser is a stronger version of Abaddomon's that fires beams from the eyes on its cape.
  • Hand Blast: Its Eclipse None is a corrosive blast from both hands.
  • Humanoid Abomination: It's a humanoid mass of eyes and mouths that vaguely resembles Omegamon and can shapeshift its shadowy flesh. It's also basically Abaddomon's brain.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: It wants to erase everything and then itself.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: The left half of its body is red and covered in mouths. The right half of its body is black and covered in red eyes.
  • Shapeshifter Weapon: It can morph its hands, seen in its alternate official artwork, into weapons. Its Binjerard has it morph its right hand into a lance and its left hand can be turned into a cannon for its Death Charge.

    Achillesmon

Achillesmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/achillesmon.jpg
Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: Anemodarmenosnote , Asteroeidisnote , Lónkhē Adistaktonote

Achillesmon is a Beast Man Digimon. It is a Mega Digimon that digivolved by becoming adept in every kind of sport from all times and places, and mastering them. It possesses spirit, skill, and strength, and is a true seeker who never misses training without bragging about its tenacious power. Its extreme physical ability has no weaknesses, and so it achieves victory without showing any weak spots not only in sports, but also in battle. The shields on its feet act as boosters, and are widely used for things such as its "Anemodarmenos" and "Asteroeidis".

  • The Ace: Is described as having mastered all forms of sports and has no physical weakness in either sports or combat.
  • Achilles' Heel: Subverted. Despite being named after the Trope Namer, Achillesmon is described as having no weaknesses. He does wear shields on his heels though, implying that the weakness is still there, but it's a lot harder to get to.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: It has shields guarding its heels, something the mythical Achilles would have very much appreciated.
  • Removed Achilles' Heel: Due to the shields covering its heels, It no longer possesses any plausible weaknesses.

    Agumon (Bond of Bravery)

Agumon (Bond of Bravery) (Agumon -Yuki's Kizuna-)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agumon_bondofcourage.jpg
Attacks: Str-lash Salamander, Red Reamer, Gaia Brave

The profound bond between Agumon and its Partner, it is a legendary, final evolution that was achieved after countless possibilities. The indomitable "Courage" of its Partner turned into hot flames that spurt out from its entire body, and appears as proof of their deep trust. By spending a long amount of time together, it has a deeper understanding of humans, and so its evolved form has also taken on a near-humanoid shape.

This form of Agumon is the final Mega level seen in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. It is partnered to Tai Kamiya (Taichi Yagami).

  • Arm Cannon: Its Red Reamer attack is a massive fiery beam fired from both of its gauntlets at once.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Has a fiery spear at the end of its tail. In Digimon ReArise, it detaches the whole thing to wield for its Str-lash Salamander attack.
  • Bishōnen Line: For the main Greymon evolution line. Its design evokes a slightly more reptilian Agnimon much more than it does WarGreymon. Even its armor appears to be a sort of natural exoskeleton.
  • Facial Markings: It has blue facial markings of the exact same shade as the ones on its armor.
  • Playing with Fire: Its attacks are primarily fire-based, like with most of Agumon's evolutions.
  • Tron Lines: It has bright blue ones all over its armor.
  • Wolverine Claws: It has fiery blades projecting from the knuckles of its gauntlets. Its Red Reamer attack fires from the same place.

    Amphimon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amphimon_9.png
Debut: Vital Bracelet BE
Attacks: Crystal Freezer, Aqua Zanba, Raiburn Break, Umbre Defender

A Cyborg Digimon that travels throughout the vast Net Ocean, connecting aquatic Digimon with one another. Amphimon is able to dive into the depths of the sea thanks to the pressurized body suit that covers its entire body. It is even able to enter the Abyss Sanctuary in the deepest part of the sea. Like Angel or Deity Digimon, Amphimon is permitted to judge evil and carry out judgment in the Net Ocean. When a battle breaks out, Amphimon's typically upbeat demeanor can shift as quickly as the tumultuous sea, and it strikes down evildoers with a single blow.

Amphimon is the Mega form of Jellymon and is partnered to Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai.

    Anubismon

Anubismon (Anubimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anubimon.png
Debut: D-Ark Version 2.0
Attacks: Pyramid Power, Ammit

A God Man Digimon that guards and supervises the Dark Area, the area to which the data of all Digimon whose lifespans have ended or who have fallen in battle are ultimately transmitted. Anubismon constantly surveys the Dark Area for this data, and if a Digimon is evil, Anubismon will seal their data in eternal darkness. However, if a Digimon is good, Anubismon will reset their data as a Digi-Egg. Thus, Anubismon has the power to decide the rebirth of a digimon, and acts as the Digital World's judge.

Anubismon is consistently portrayed as a Mega form of Labramon; it can evolve from Minami Uehara's Labramon in the D-Power line, and it evolves from Aoi Shibuya's Labramon in Digimon Survive.

  • Dark Is Not Evil: A Digimon that guards the Dark Area, and has an attack where it summons a demonic beast to devour the Digicores of the wicked. Despite such a terrifying impression, it's a vaccine Digimon and is actively keeping evil at bay.
  • Everyone Hates Hades: Actually averted! That said, Belphemon's profile mentions that Digimon that are sealed in the Dark Area become the "flesh and blood of the Seven Great Demon Lords", and by all intents and purposes, it seems that Anubismon is the one putting them there; however, it's just doing its job, and nothing indicates Anubismon is their ally.
  • Pyramid Power: The name of one of its attacks, which involves sealing its opponent in a pyramid of light. Either that or it lets him jump up and kick the enemy.
  • Reincarnation: Basically, it's the Digimon that gets to decide if other Digimon get to be reborn or not.
  • Summon Magic: Its "Ammit" attack involves summoning a beast from the "underworld" to attack the enemy. It devours the Digicores of evil Digimon. Either that or allow it to fire waves of destructive light from its hands.
  • Winged Humanoid: Albeit one with a dog's head.

    Arcadiamon

Arcadiamon (Arkadimon) (Mega)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkadimonultimate_6189.png
Debut: Digimon V-Tamer 01: "Earthquake! Demon Castle!!"
Attacks: Dot Matrix, Exile Spear

A Bewitching Beast Digimon and the Mega form of Arcadiamon, the "Super Ultimate" intended to be revived by Daemon. It has evolved to this form by absorbing a great deal of evil energy.

For data on Arcadiamon's other forms, see the entries for Baby/In-Training, Rookie, Champion, and Ultimatenote  Digimon.

Arcadiamon was the main partner of Neo Saiba in Digimon V-Tamer 01, and the ultimate weapon of the Big Bad Demon. It has also appeared as the main threat of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, where it wound up becoming the partner of Ryuji Mishima.

  • Angelic Abomination: It has several non-tattered wings mostly seen on angel Digimon, but it's an absolute behemoth of a monster with the power to drain an opponent's data.
  • Arcadia: What it's named after. Given it was created specifically to be the partner of a character who believes in Utopia Justifies the Means, this falls into the realm of Meaningful Name.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Typically, artificially created Digimon like Arcadiamon don't usually get to the Champion level. Arcadiamon has managed to get all the way to Mega. And it's still not done yet...
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Naturally has the demonic variety.
  • Life Drain: "Dot Matrix", which converts the opponent's data into energy and uses it to heal itself.
  • Morph Weapon: "Exile Spear", which is formed by forming the tentacles on its arm into a spear.
  • One-Steve Limit: All of Arcadiamon's forms share the same name.

Arcadiamon (Ultra) (Arkadimon (Super Ultimate))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkadimonsuperultimate_9915.png
Attacks: Dystopia Lances, God Matrix

A form of Arcadiamon Ultimate that grew further by absorbing the energy it generated through battle. Capable of rocking the ecosystem of the Digital World, it is now known to surpass Ultimate due to the fact that it possesses immense power.

  • Combat Tentacles: "Dystopia Lances".
  • Early-Bird Cameo: It appeared in the card game a couple of months before it made its appearance in V-Tamer.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Has fully become one, at least in appearance.
  • Olympus Mons: Comes with the territory of being a "Super Ultimate". In fact, it was hyped up as the "Super Ultimate" Digimon in its debut.

    Arcturusmon

Arcturusmon (Arcturusmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arcturusmon.jpg

Debut: Vital Bracelet BE
Attacks: Black Death, Black Confession

A phantom Digimon that is said to have evolved by concentrating dark, evil energy to its utmost limit. In a study about a certain Digimon that produces the secretion known as GRB Factor, it was found that it "theoretically" evolved when a simulation was conducted in which large amounts of GRB Factor were injected into the very Digimon that produces it to their limit. Although the simulation was repeated hundreds of times, all of the simulation results confirmed that it would evolve into this Digimon, so it is stated in a paper that it is a Digimon that can manifest even in the real Digital World as long as the conditions are met. It is unknown what sort of ecology it has, but since the level of dark energy measured in the simulation was by far the highest among Digimon that have currently been discovered, it is conjectured that when this Digimon manifests, it will generate a Digital Hazard that drastically alters the environment of the Digital World.

Arcturusmon is a strongly implied dark Mega form of the Gammamon line, being the final form of GulusGammamon. However, it has not actually appeared in Digimon Ghost Game.

  • The Corruption: Arcturusmon is the result of a Digimon that produces the GRB Factor, presumably Regulusmon, being injected with the same substance. Arcturusmon's Black Death attack has it inject the GRB factor into another Digimon until it corrodes.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Siriusmon, Gammamon's "normal" Mega.
  • Olympus Mons: It's the evolution of an Ultimate that was already on par with one of the Four Great Dragons.
  • The Spook: Its existence is only known in theories and nobody knows anything about it other than it has the potential to exist. Not that anyone wants to meet it.
  • Stellar Name: It's named after Arcturus, the third-brightest individual star in the night sky.
  • This Is a Drill: It wields a drill on each arm, which it uses for both of its attacks. Its Black Confession has it spin and compress both before firing them.
  • Unholy Nuke: It has enough of this kind of power to affect the entire Digital World.
  • World-Wrecking Wave: It can radically alter the entire Digital World just by appearing.

    Argomon

Argomon (Algomon) (Mega)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/algomon_2943.png
Debut: DigiWindow (Digimon Pocket Wars)
Attacks: (Original) Distortion Line, Brute Force, Terabyte Disaster, Judecca Cannon; (Dub) Distortion Line, Brute Force, Terabyte Disaster, Mystic Cannon

A Mega-level Mutant Digimon that evolved from Argomon. When the numerous eyes on the body open, they release a strong bombardment of cursed power. Naturally, it's the Mega form of the Ultimatenote -level Argomon.

Argomon was the main antagonist in the Digimon Data Squad movie, where he was also able to go into this form. It also recently served as the Starter Villain of Digimon Adventure: (2020).

  • The Brute: Invoked in its "Brute Force" attack.
  • Extra Eyes: Comes with being based on Argos Panoptes. See the previous trope for their locations.
  • Eye Beams: Its "Distortion Line" and "Judecca Cannon", although the latter is more like bullets then beams.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: On its shoulders, its knees, and its throat.
  • Japanese Ranguage: Its Japanese name takes advantage of the "l" and "r" matter, and makes its name a dual reference to the word "algorithm" (it shares its premiere — the Digimon Data Squad movie — with a female character named Rhythm) as well as Argos Panoptes, the many-eyed monster of Greek Mythology.
  • One-Steve Limit: It has the same name as its pre-evolved (Ultimate) form, making it one of the few Digimon not to change its name entirely when it evolves.
  • Plant Person: Just like its previous forms, it 's a humanoid Digimon with vines all over.
  • Punny Name: The Algo in Algomon is part of "Algorithm". It was originally meant to play off of another character introduced in the Digimon Data Squad movie, the Ambiguously Human Rhythm.

    Armageddemon

Armageddemon (Armagemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/armagemon.png
Attacks: (Original) Ultimate Flare, Black Rain; (Dub) Destiny Destroyer/Ultimate Flare, Full Scale Attack/Black Rain

A Super-Ultimate Digimon that was born when Diaboromon's pre-evolutions fused in large quantities and caused a mutation. Though Diaboromon could copy and reproduce itself, these copies' abilities were less than that of Diaboromon itself. However, by producing large amounts of babies and fusing them into one being, it was able to create even greater power than its original form. Like with other "Diaboromon-species", Armageddemon is not affiliated with light or darkness.

Armageddemon is the final form of Diaboromon in the second 02 movie, where it was able to defeat Omegamon and Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode before they were defeated by the even stronger Paladin Mode.

  • Animalistic Abomination: It keeps Diaboromon's arthropod theme and now sports six Spider Limbs, a type 2 Jagged Mouth reminiscent of Venom, a scorpionlike tail, and a pair of devil horns.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: It carries the Diaboromon line's "arthropod" theme.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Ultimate Flare" attack, where it fires a huge blast of fire from its mouth.
  • Fusion Dance: The Fusion Dance of many, many, many Kuramon. Though it's also been depicted as evolving from Diaboromon proper.
  • Olympus Mons: Referred to as a "Super Ultimate" in its profile. Bonus points for being the evolution of Diaboromon, who was the incarnation of the Y2K bug and an Olympus Mon in its own right.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: "Black Rain", which involves firing energy-shells from its back like missiles.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: It's named after Armageddon. As in the end of the world. Yeah.
  • Spider Limbs: It has a set similar to Infermon, where it once again has six legs instead of four.
  • Take a Third Option: Diaboromon could only make clones that were weaker than itself. Solution? Make a bunch of its Baby form, have them fuse, and have the total of them all added up be even greater than Diaboromon was.

    AvengeKidmon

AvengeKidmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/latest_20.jpg
Debut: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Destruction Trigger, Misery Rain Bullet

The desire for revenge of a Digimon defeated by MagnaKidmon ran wild, and as a result of the Minus Mind Data applying an overload to its DigiCore, the form of the defeated Digimon underwent a mutation-like transformation. In order to vent its raging fury at its form becoming so similar to that of the opponent it should defeat, it has forgotten even the goal of defeating MagnaKidmon that was its dream, and continuously sabotages it.

  • Armed Legs: Like with MagnaKidmon.
  • Finger Gun: Like with MagnaKidmon.
  • More Dakka: Its "Misery Bullet Rain" attack, is a barrage of energy bullets from its fingers followed by a barrage of live ammunition from its entire body.
  • Motive Decay: It's so full of anger that it ends sabotaging its own attempts at getting revenge.
  • The Rival: To MagnaKidmon; its resentment at being defeated by the latter fueled its transformation into what it is now.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: It used to be a Digimon that was defeated by MagnaKidmon and as a result of a mutation, it took on a form similar to its enemy.

    Babamon

Babamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/babamon.png
Debut: Digimon World: Digital Card Battlenote
Attacks: (Original) Empress Haze, Tri-Banish; (Dub) Embrace Haze/Empress Haze, Dark Broom

An Ancient Digimon that has the appearance of an old woman. According to rumor, it whispered that a Rosemon was placed under a spell and turned into this form. One swing from the broom it holds erases viruses.

    Bagramon

Bagramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bagramon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion
Attacks: Astral Snatcher, Invisible Snake-Eyes, Choujigen Storm

Although it was originally a high-ranking Angel Digimon that ruled over death, it despaired against the unreasonable justice of the world and rebelled against God. It then received the scourge of God and eternally lost one of its eyes and half of its body, and has since replaced that half with an artificial body cut from a ghostly tree. Its long, artificial right arm can catch hold of ghostly forms, and rip the soul out of a Digimon's body. The extracted soul can be sent to Heaven or Hell as Bagramon pleases, and can even be placed in another Digimon's body.

Bagramon served as the Big Bad of Digimon Fusion and its manga adaptation, leading the Bagra Army and conquering the scattered Digital World in search of the Code Crowns.

  • Artificial Limbs: Its right arm and leg are made from a cursed tree.
  • Badass Cape: A white one with a blue underside.
  • Beard of Evil: Since the manga gives a glimpse of its restored form, which is clean-shaven, then yeah.
  • Demon Lords And Arch Devils: He has the Demon Lord type.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Crossed it, which led to it falling and picking a fight with God.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Tried to fight God.
  • Easily Forgiven: All Bagramon would have to do is go back to God and repent. Which it won't, because it is hell-bent on replacing Him and his concept of justice.
  • Fallen Angel: Worse, Fallen Archangel.
  • Light Is Not Good: A fallen archangel which dresses in white, yellow and blue, and one of the most dangerous Digimon there is.
  • Meaningful Name: 'Bagra' is a re-arrangement of Gabriel.
  • The Omniscient: Can see anything it desires, but it has to focus first.
  • Red Baron: It's known as the "Sage of Death" across the Digital World.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Its missing eye is replaced with a ruby that grants it its omniscience.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Mega.
  • Satanic Archetype: A Fallen Archangel who tried to rebel against God and got cast out for it.
  • Shout-Out: To Paradise Lost. The bit about being blasted in half on his right side happened to Satan there, the difference being that it was God Himself who did the smiting here, so for Bagramon, those limbs aren't coming back any time soon.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: His formerly dark hair was bleached during his fall.
  • Winged Humanoid: Has a bunch of stubby wings just barely visible behind his back.

    Beelzemon ( 2010 Anime Version)

Beelzemon (2010 anime) (Beelzebumon (2010 anime))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beelzemon_282010_anime29_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion
Attacks: Death the Cannon, Darkness Claw

An aloof demon warrior possessing terrifying destructive power. Although it is seen as having a serene personality as a result of its indifference to strangers due to its taciturnity, in actuality, it loves conflict more than anyone else. It is considered one of the strongest Digimon, and anyone who see Beelzemon's figure and still challenges it to a fight is nothing but a fool. Also, Beelzemon will never run away from a battle it is challenged to.

Beelzemon (2010) is a member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army. Later on, it becomes partnered to Nene Amano.

While this is definitely a species of Beelzemon, it is not related to the Seven Great Demon Lords. Tropes specific to that version of Beelzemon go in their respective page.

  • BFG: The Berenjena SDX
  • Blood Knight: Loves fighting, and will never turn down an offer to fight.
  • Cool Mask: That's still there.
  • Demon Lords And Arch Devils: He's a demon lord, just not one of the Seven Great Demon Lords anymore.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Mega like its original counterpart. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Super Mode: Seems to be what this version is, if the fact that the Berenjena is now the Benenjena Super-Deluxe is any indication.

    BigUkkomon

Big Ukkomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bigukkomon.jpg
Attacks: Violent Punisher

A Digimon that is thought to have appeared the moment the ancient Digital World was destroyed. It is said that it sacrificed its own life to summon a Digitama from the sorrow of the Digimon that disappeared one after another as a result of the destruction. However, there are no records of whether this act had been accomplished or not. Although the existence of Ultimates during the era of ancient Digital World has been recorded in the form of the legendary Ten Warriors, it is presumed that BigUkkomon also possessed an amount of data equivalent to an Ultimate, but it has not been possible to verify this.

BigUkkomon is the Ultimate form of Ukkomon.

  • Call-Back: Its profile is the first mention of the Ten Legendary Warriors in decades.
  • Combat Tentacles: Its Violent Punisher, where it swings its countless, supermassive tentacles, crushing and gouging targets over a vast range.
  • Eldritch Abomination: A massive, overgrown version of Ukkomon whose head splits open to reveal dozens of tentacles and what can only be described as a gigantic flower bulb in the middle. It also keeps the wish-granting abilities of Ukkomon.
  • Non-Elemental: A Free attribute digimon, much like its rookie counterpart.
  • Noodle Incident: Both Ukkomon's entries are the first mention of the destruction of the Ancient Digital World, an event that so far hasn't been elaborated upon.

    BioDarkdramon

BioDarkdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/biodarkdramon_recolor.jpg
Attacks: (Original) Dark Roar, Gigastic Lance; (Dub) Dark Roar, Gigantic Lance

Normally, Darkdramon is a Cyborg Digimon that was rebuilt from a destroyed Tankdramon, and is a member of the D-Brigade. However, this Digimon is a Bio-Hybrid achieved by Hyper Bio Extra Evolution, a process exclusive to Digimon Data Squad. In this case, it's achieved by Kouki infusing Darkdramon's DNA into himself to become a Digimon.

    BioRotosmon

BioRotosmon (BioLotusmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/biolotusmon_newcentury.png
Attacks:

Normally, Lotosmon is a Fairy Digimon that serves as a possible evolution for the Lalamon line. However, this Digimon is a Bio-Hybrid achieved by Hyper Bio Extra Evolution, a process exclusive to Digimon Data Squad. In this case, it's achieved by Nanami infusing Lotosmon's DNA into herself to become a Digimon.

    BioSpinomon

BioSpinomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/biospinomon_recolor.jpg
Attacks: Blue Prominence, Sonic Slash Rain

Normally, Spinomon is a Dinosaur Digimon boasting among the greatest powers of its kind. However, this Digimon is a Bio-Hybrid achieved by Hyper Bio Extra Evolution, a process exclusive to Digimon Data Squad. In this case, it's achieved by Ivan infusing Spinomon's DNA into himself to become a Digimon.

  • Breath Weapon: Much like regular Spinomon, it uses Blue Prominence to fire blue flames from its mouth.
  • Palette Swap: A Spinomon with a green head.
  • Spike Shooter: Another attack it has in common with regular Spinomon is Sonic Slash Rain, where it fires the spines on its back.

    BlackImperialdramon

BlackImperialdramon (Imperialdramon: (Black))

Dragon Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/imperialdramon_black_dm_8.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Booster 7 ~Terror of the Dragon Emperor~
Attacks: (Original) Positron Laser, Mega Death; (Dub) Positron Laser, Mega Crusher/Mega Death

An Ancient Dragon Digimon that was unable to control its mighty power and went berserk. Once it starts going berserk, it runs the whole gamut of destruction with no way of stopping it. It is said there exists a viral Fighter Mode that controls its destructive power through its heart of darkness.

  • Evil Counterpart: To Imperialdramon.
  • Inconsistent Dub: It currently has yet to finalize "BlackImperialdramon" as a name for most sources, but Digimon Crusader has given it the name.
  • Palette Swap: Since Imperialdramon is mostly black anyway, the major distinction between them is this version lacks the blue of its Vaccine attribute counterpart.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: It was unable to get a handle on its power, and has gone wild.

BlackImperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Black))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_imperialdramon_fm_black.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Ultimate Battle Deck 3: Ultimate Battle Set - Legend of Dramon Set & Neo Metal Empire Set
Attacks: (Original) Positron Laser, Giga Death, Positron Laser Lance; (Dub) Positron Laser, Giga Crusher, Positron Laser Lance

A form that controlled the berserk Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode (Black) with a heart of darkness, changing its form into a Virus Fighter Mode. It rejects Vaccine Digimon, and prefers targeting Digimon affiliated with the Virus Busters in particular to eliminate them.

  • Arm Cannon: The same one as the regular Imperialdramon's, though its Reference Book entry retconned it to be on its left arm and able to extend into a Laser Blade.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Its Reference Book artwork shows it with tattered wings, similar to many evil Digimon.
  • Knight Templar: It acts according to its own code, even if that involves violent destruction. Which, given it's capable of planetary-level annihilation, is why it's so terrifying.
  • Laser Blade: Its Positron Laser Lance turns its Arm Cannon into one of these by extending its heat sink to resemble a sword and emitting a coherent blade.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Same as Fighter Mode, it lacks the blue of regular Imperialdramon, and is a vicious warrior. Its Reference Book artwork takes this even further, making its wings a darker shade of red and turning the silver parts of its armor black.
  • Retcon: It got a Reference Book entry in mid-2022 that distinguished it more from the regular version of Fighter Mode, giving it the ability to wield the Positron Laser as a Laser Blade. It also moved the cannon to the other arm and made more minor changes to its appearance.
  • Sanity Strengthening: The mode transition has allowed BlackImperialdramon to regain its sanity. However, this isn't a good thing.
  • Serial Killer: It likes going after Virus Busters especially so it can kill them.
  • Too Many Mouths: If art from the card game is any indication, then the dragon head on its chest is a second mouth.

    BlackMegaGargomon

BlackMegaGargomon (BlackSaintGalgomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blacksaintgalgomon_2314.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game
Attacks: (Dub) Giant Missile, Mega Barrage; (Dub) Giant Missile/Gargo Missile, Burst Shot

A type of MegaGargomon specialising in attacking enemy territory, it is equipped with massive amounts of armaments. Although it lacks speed, it is able to utilise the heat-based weapons located all over its body to counterattack in all directions without moving an inch.

Tropes unique to BlackMegaGargomon are listed here. For tropes that it shares with MegaGargomon, please see its own entry in the next page.

  • Dark Is Not Evil: It's a darker-colored variation of MegaGargomon, but unlike a good number of examples in this series, it's a vaccine Digimon instead of a virus.
  • Environment-Specific Action Figure: Its profile differentiates it from MegaGargomon by describing it as a version designed for "Assault Landing" in hostile areas.
  • Palette Swap: A black, virus-attribute variation of MegaGargomon with red missile launchers.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Highly downplayed. While it is Red and Black, It's not necessarily evil; in fact, it's still a vaccine Digimon.

    BlackMetalGarurumon

BlackMetalGarurumon (MetalGarurumon (Black))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackmetalgarurumon_9992.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game
Attacks: (Original) Cocytus Breath, Garuru Tomahawk, Metal Fang, Metal Howling, Blizzard Wolf Claw, Ice Wolf Claw, Burst Wolf Claw, Metal Wolf Claw, Giga Destruction, Grace Cross Freezer, Fire Wolf Claw; (Dub) Freezing Breath/Metal Wolf Claw, Garuru Tomahawk, Metal Fang, Metal Howling, Blizzard Wolf Claw, Ice Wolf Claw, Burst Wolf Claw, Metal Masher, Giga Destruction, Ice Wolf Claw, Metal Grinder

A Virus attribute MetalGarurumon whose entire body is armed with cold-based weapons. It has a fearsome personality, in that once the Laser Sights on its snout lock onto its prey, it will pursue them relentlessly and bombard them with missiles regardless of whether they are friend or foe.

Tropes unique to BlackMetalGarurumon are listed here. For tropes that it shares with MetalGarurumon, please see its own entry directly above.

  • Ax-Crazy: While MetalGarurumon is normally a Noble Wolf, the Black version only wants to bombard its prey with its attacks until they're no more. Compared to fellow black recolor BlackWarGreymon, who's more of an Anti-Hero, this Digimon is a lot more ruthless.
  • The Berserker: Once it sees an opponent, it never stops attacking until they're dead, whether they happen to be friend or foe.
  • Breath Weapon: "Cocytus Breath" and "Fire Wolf Claw".
  • Canon Name: Sometimes referred to as BlackMetalGarurumon in English, and other times referred to simply as a viral MetalGarurumon. They seemed to have settled upon BlackMetalGarurumon in recent years, however.
  • Evil Counterpart: To MetalGarurumon, just as BlackWarGreymon is to WarGreymon.
  • Palette Swap: A black recolor of the blue-and-white MetalGarurumon.
  • Playing with Fire and An Ice Person: Unlike MetalGarurumon, BlackMetalGarurumon has both of these covered, with "Cocytus Breath" and the usual plethora of ice-based weaponry for ice, and "Fire Wolf Claw" to cover fire.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: It's black with red parts, and it's The Berserker to boot.

    BlackWarGreymon

BlackWarGreymon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackwargreymon.png
Debut: D-3 Digital Detect and Discover
Attacks: (Original) Ankoku no Gaia Forcenote , Gaia Force, Dramon Killer, Great Tornado, Black Tornado, Dramon Buster, Dramon Tackle, Kūchū Gaia Forcenote , War Blaster, Black Storm Tornado, Dramon Fire, Mega Destroyernote ; (Dub) Terra Destroyer/Dark Gaia Force/Dark Terra Force, Terra Destroyer/Nova Force/Terra Force/Gaia Force, Terra Destroyer/Dragon Crusher/Mega Claw/Doramon Killer/Iron Claws, Great Tornado, Black Tornado/Great Tornado, Dramon Buster, Dramon Tackle, Aerial Gaia Force, War Blaster, Ultra Tornado, Doramon Fire, Mega Destroyer

A Virus-species WarGreymon feared as the "Jet-black Dragon Warrior". Although its creed and principles are the polar opposite of those of the Virus Busters War Greymon, it exists for the sake of its own peculiar "Justice". It detests cowardice and foul play, and it doesn't consider itself a fellow of vulgar Digimon, even if they are of the same Virus-species. The full details of how it converted to a Virus are a mystery, and the "Brave Shield" equipped to its back is not engraved with the Crest of Courage.
BlackWarGreymon appears as a major character in Digimon Adventure 02, as an artificial Digimon created from 100 Black Towers. It's also the main antagonist of Digimon Project 2021.

Tropes unique to BlackWarGreymon are listed here. For tropes that it shares with WarGreymon, please see its own entry in the next page.

  • Anti-Hero: Described as following its own "warped" code of justice, similar to BanchoLeomon, making it stand out from the more traditionally heroic WarGreymon.
  • Canon Name:
    • Much like BlackMetalGarurumon above, Bandai would often waffle between calling this guy BlackWarGreymon or just considering it a virus version of WarGreymon. The D-3 digivice toy, video games, and the anime generally went with the former, and the card game went with the latter. Also like with BlackMetalGarurumon, this has mostly fallen by the wayside, and he's universally called BlackWarGreymon now.
    • This also aso applies to its signature move. Beforehand, the attack was simply called "Gaia Force", but more recently, it's been given the moniker of "Ankoku no Gaia Force" to differentiate it. Amusingly, the dub had always been doing this (except in the cases of Inconsistent Dub) by calling it "Terra Destroyer".
  • Dark Is Not Evil: It's not exactly nice, but it's not evil either. It just does things a bit differently from WarGreymon.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Not evil per se, but it detests vulgar Digimon, cowardice, and foul play.
  • Evil Counterpart: Downplayed. While it is the exact opposite of the noble WarGreymon, it's not outright evil, even having its own code of justice.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Won't associate with other Virus-species Digimon if it doesn't care for their behavior.
  • Noble Demon: A possible interpretation of its "peculiar" code of justice.
  • Palette Swap: Oh come on, who do you think it's a recolor of?
  • The Power of Hate: "Ankoku no Gaia Force" involves it amassing the negative emotions of the world and forming it into the attack, as opposed to WarGreymon, who gathers ambient energy from the atmosphere.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: BlackWarGreymon doesn't have any red on its body, but it does come into play when it uses its own version of "Gaia Force", which is colored red.
  • Red Baron: Called the "Jet-black Dragon Warrior" in its profile.
  • Tornado Move: Its "Black Tornado", "Great Tornado" and "Black Storm Tornado", the first one has him spinning and becoming a black tornado to drill through the target, the latter two have him summoning tornados with "Black Storm Tornado" summoning huge burning ones around himself.

BlackWarGreymon X (BlackWarGreymon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackwargreymonx_6885.png
Attacks: Ankoku no Gaia Forcenote , Hades Force

BlackWarGreymon also has a form when affected by the X-Antibody. Its negative power has been condensed to its maximum, and its cunning for seizing victory by any means necessary has been accelerated. It has imparted the strongest toughness of the "Brave Shield" to the "Dramon Killers", leading to it possessing perfected equipment of unified offense and defense. Due to its fighting style, in which it instantly plunges into the heart of the enemy with the vernier it has equipped to its back, which boast explosive acceleration at the expense of it being able to fly for extended periods, it has certainly become the strongest form of land combat Digimon, a "Land War Hero".

BlackWarGreymon X appears in Digimon World Re:Digitize as the partner of Yuuya Kuuga.

  • Jet Pack: Shown to have this in its official Bandai art, as opposed to its heroic counterpart, who just floats around.
  • Power Crystal: Has these, just like the Vaccine version. These ones are red.
  • Spam Attack: Its "Hades Force" attack in which he rapid-fires his "Ankoku no Gaia Force" at ultra-high speed.

    Blastmon

Blastmon

Debuted in: Digimon Fusion
Attacks: Diamond Machine Gun, Diamond Hedgehog, Crystal Breath

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_blastmon2.jpg
A super-heavyweight Digimon with a mineral body. It is clad in a hard crystal armor that regenerates when broken, and boasts a number of various, powerful techniques, so its slowly moving form is the epitome of an impregnable moving fortress. Because of its glittering body and power, it calls itself "the most beautiful, sublime creature."

Blastmon was one of the Three Generals serving under the Bagra Army in Digimon Fusion and its manga adaptation.
  • Bling of War: Its gauntlets are covered in gemstones. Not to mention it's a giant hedgehog made of diamonds.
  • Energy Weapon: Its "Crystal Breath" attack has it absorb solar energy, then spews it out as an unstoppable laser. The only drawback is that, being solar-powered, Blastmon can only use it during the daytime.
  • Gemstone Assault: Its "Diamond Machine Gun" fires off the gemstones in its body like a machine gun.
  • Mighty Glacier: Very slow, but being made of diamond, it's ludicrously powerful.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Mega.
  • Spam Attack: Its Diamond Machine Gun fires off the gems coating its body in a manner similar to the weapon the attack is named for.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Its legs are tiny compared to the rest of it.

    BlitzGreymon

BlitzGreymon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blitzgreymon.jpg
Attacks: Plasma Strike, Thunder Vernier, Elec Guard

An ultimate form of Greymon-species Digimon, it is a subspecies of WarGreymon armed with electric-powered weapons. It reinforces its heavyweight grappling with electricity, striking with the "Plasma Stakes" on both arms, which send electric current flowing into even the sturdiest of structures and destroying them from within. It is capable of rotating the "Thunder Verniers" on its back to face forward, from which it fires electricity, or using them while faced backwards to propel it forward.

BlitzGreymon is an alternate Mega form of Agumon, and has recently been partnered to Taichi Yagami (Tai Kamiya) in Digimon Adventure: (2020).

  • Barrier Warrior: Its "Elec Guard" attack releases plasma particles into its surroundings and using them to erect a barrier around it.
  • Shock and Awe: Its primary form of attacking. It can grapple opponents with the Plasma Stakes on its arms, or rotate the Thunder Verniers on its back to fire electricity or propel itself forward.
  • Swapped Roles: Basically, it's a cyborg version of the usually non-cyborg WarGreymon, swapping this status with MetalGarurumon who now has a warrior variant in CresGarurumon.

    BloomLordmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bloomlordmon.jpg
Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: Multiple Seed, Sprout Rush, Gran de Sol

A Fairy Digimon that is a plant clad in armor, it is a kind-hearted knight that fights to protect nature. It builds up energy by absorbing sunlight through the flower on its shoulder. The power it exhibits once that energy has been raised to its limit is said to even rival that of the Royal Knights. It has the ability to turn any foul weather into fine weather, and creates battlefields that always work to its advantage when outdoors.

  • Arm Cannon: The petals on its left shoulder are used to fire its Multiple Seed attack, where it shoots countless seeds at its opponent.
  • Expy: Appearance wise he’s basically a plant themed Omegamon having similar Sword and Gun weapons. Its profile even puts it on a similar level of power as Omegamon.
  • Green Thumb: As it debuted in the Vital Bracelet's "Hermit of the Jungle" Dim Card, it's only natural that it would be plant-themed.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: A knight that fights for nature itself. It even has the vaccine attribute.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Listed as a fairy type.
  • Power of the Sun: It can power itself up by absorbing sunlight through photosynthesis.
  • Sword Beam: When fully bloomed, BloomLordmon's spear becomes a BFS that fires a huge beam. This is its Gran de Sol attack.
  • Weather Manipulation: Said to make the weather nicer, which helps it immensely in battle.

    Boltmon

Boltmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boltmon.png
Debut: Digimon Pendulum 3.0 — Nightmare Soldiers
Attacks: (Original) Tomahawk Steiner, Busounote , Battle Tomahawk; (Dub) Tomahawk Crunch/Tomahawk Steiner, Tomahawk Knuckle/Berserk, Battle Tomahawk

A prototype Cyborg Digimon constructed at the same time as Andromon. Unlike the mechanically-based Andromon, the organically-based Boltmon possessed emotions, as well as power that surpassed Andromon's, but it was difficult to control and ran wild, and was consigned to oblivion in the darkness. It is an unfortunate Digimon whose own existence was denied, so it wanders within the darkness of its sorrow.

Boltmon acts as the main Mega level of Jimmy KEN. It is commonly used as a Mega level for the Meramon line.

  • The Berserker: One of his attacks translates to Berserk and it's how he acts when using it.
  • Cyborg: Boltmon was created alongside Andromon as a prototype for cyborg Digimon. Unlike Andromon, who is chiefly mechanical with a few organic components, Boltmon is chiefly organic with a few technical enhancements.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Boltmon's profile makes no mention of it being evil, just that it was hard co control, ending up abandoned as a result.
  • Fiery Red Head: It has both red hair and is prone to going berserk.
  • Frankenstein's Monster: It has the look of the Universal Studios version of the monster, and the back-story of the original novel's version of the monster.
  • The Eeyore: Due to its denied existence, it wanders within its own sorrow.
  • Meta Plot: Has long been known to have a relationship with Andromon in the franchise. Good luck finding an adaptation featuring either one that cares.
  • Super Prototype: To Andromon. Not only is Boltmon a Mega to Andromon's Ultimate level, but he's a Data Digimon to Andromon's Vaccine Attribute as well, meaning that Boltmon has the advantage over Andromon twice over.
  • Too Many Belts: It has a lot on its pants.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Not necessarily in practice, but it's "Tomahawk Steiner" attack is named after the wrestling technique, the "Frankensteiner." That also makes it a Stealth Pun.

    Boltboutamon

Boltboutamon (Voltobautamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/voltobautamon.jpg
Attacks: (Original) Palazzi Valzernote , Quarzione; (Dub) Pernicious Waltz, Quarzione

The vilest, most wicked Digimon through which the "Grudgeful Hand", born from the malice data that overflows from the Dark Area, served as the source of evil that caused Myotismon to be forcefully absorbed by Piedmon. It lacks Piedmon and Myotismon's sense of self, and acts according to the Grudgeful Hand's will. Its intention is the eradication the light so as to corrode the world in darkness.

This Digimon appears as a fusion of Myotismon and Piedmon in many continuities, most notably in Digimon World -next 0rder-.

  • Bling of War: He's got golden armour and pauldrons.
  • Cool Mask: Has a golden face-mask, from which his name is derived, being based on the masks worn at the Venice Carnival.
  • Creepily Long Arms: Its arms are long enough to go down past its knees.
  • Fusion Dance: Created by the already evil Piedmon absorbing the just-as-bad Myotismon.
  • Named Weapon: Carries a pair of guns called "Ala di Pollo", or "Chicken Wings" in Italian.
  • Sadist: While having no actual will of its own, some of Piedmon's sadism shines right through, as seen with its "Palazzi Valzer" attack.

    Breakdramon

Breakdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/breakdramon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game Alpha
Attacks: (Original) Destroyed Rush, Infinity Boring, Gravity Press; (Dub) Destroyed Rush/Destructive Rush, Taser Strike, Gravity Crush

A gigantic Machine Dragon Digimon said to exist in order to destroy everything on land. When it evolved it succeeded, through hacking, in obtaining the design data for various construction equipment, and it possesses power and ability surpassing other Machine Digimon. However, in exchange for excellent mechanical performance, its organic parts were reduced almost to 0, and its motives and emotions were lost. For that reason, it does not falter when taking damage, and it is feared as the ultimate dragon of destruction that will continue destroying until it rusts away. Absolutely nothing remains standing wherever Breakdramon has passed through.

  • Animal Mecha: A massive robotic dragon that doubles as living construction equipment.
  • Combat Tentacles: How it extends and attacks with its various drills.
  • Fusion Dance: Breakdramon is one of the two Digimon who combine into Royal Knight Examon, with Slayerdramon opposite. Interestingly, Breakdramon and Slayerdramon are both the Megas at the end of Dracomon's branching evolutionary lines.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Its name in Digimon World Championship was "Brakedramon".
  • Loss of Identity: It lost its emotions when it became fully mechanized.
  • Major Injury Under Reaction: Its profile states that it won't stop wreaking destruction without concern to how injured it may be.
  • Meteor Move: How "Gravity Press" is described as working.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: More like Dragon of Mass Destruction. It was created to destroy everything on the land.
  • Shovel Strike: "Destroyed Rush", which involves attacking with its steamshovel arms.
  • This Is a Drill: On its back, nose and twin tails, and used in its "Infinity Boring" attack.
  • The Undead: This only applies to its portrayal in Digimon Fusion.
  • Unwilling Roboticization: In exchange for the construction data that makes up its framework, it lost its organic parts and any form of sentient thought, being reduced to a mindless, emotionless machine of destruction that never stops until it rusts away.

GigaBreakdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gigabreakdramon_870.png
Attacks: Destroyed Rush, Infinity Boring, Gravity Press

A variation of Breakdramon called GigaBreakdramon appears in Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time modified to be controlled manually. Aside from being constructed artificially, it appears to be functionally identical to Breakdramon itself. It has no level but since it is just a modified Breakdramon it can be listed here.

    Callismon

Callismon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/callismon.jpg
Attacks: Rodeo Bullet, Deep Forest

A Demon Beast Digimon with an appearance resembling a bear. Although it is considered to be a Digimon that evolved from the Gryzmon line, all of them are mutants that evolved from individuals that underwent data abnormalities. It is unknown whether the abnormalities responsible for this occurred naturally or were caused intentionally, and because its population is small, there are many mysteries surrounding it such as its ecology and evolution requirements.

It has extremely high combat ability, owing to its hugely developed arms and armaments, and exhibits a ferocious nature that will not stop attacking the opponents until they are defeated.

  • Arm Cannon: Used to fire its "Rodeo Bullet" attack.
  • Art Evolution: Received an updated design which deepened the purple coloring of its fur and flesh, along with enlarging its mane.
  • Badass Bandolier: It wears two across its chest.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Compared to Gryzmon, who was a vaccine type with the spirit of an honorable martial artist, Callismon is now The Brute and carries out its duties with a cold focus.
  • Bio-Augmentation: Created by augmenting a Gryzmon with Arcadimon's data.
  • Cybernetics Eat Your Soul: Gryzmon was an honorable bear with a heart of gold, but the more cyborg-inspired Callismon has lost any of its original self's morals.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: In some depictions, "Deep Forest" creates earthquakes, followed by fissures that erupt outward.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Decked out in pants and a leather jacket.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Its Reference Book profile says it's unclear whether Callismon turned out by chance or from someone deliberately making it that way. The original Callismon in V-Tamer was most definitely the latter, as Neo Saiba created one by mixing it with Arcadimon's data.
    • While its Reference Book profile changes its type from Synthetic Beast to Demon Beast, it does give a mention to the fact Callismon are mutants.
    • The fact no-body's sure about Callismon's evolution requirements. As of 2024, there's no Digimon that serves as a canonical intermediary stage between Gryzmon and Callismon.
  • Prophet Eyes: Its eyes are a soulless white. Unlike most examples, Callismon is not blind.
  • Purple Is Powerful: A Mega-level Digimon enhanced with the data from the ludicrously power Arcadimon. Where Gryzmon's fur was blue, Callismon's is various shades of purple.
  • Scary Teeth: Has a mouthful of fangs.
  • Shout-Out: Its name is derived from Callisto, who was a nymph, the daughter of King Lycaos of Arkadia, who was turned into a bear by Hera in Greek mythology.
  • Tiny-Headed Behemoth: Its head is rather out of scale with the rest of its body.

    Cannondramon

Cannondramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cannondramon.png
Attacks: (Original) Dyna Cannon, Grenade Storm; (Dub) Dynamo Cannon/Dynamic Cannon

A Cyborg type Digimon equipped with long-distance cannons. Covered in tough armor, it greets approaching enemies with a swing of its tail.

Cannondramon appears in Digimon World 3 as the natural Mega form of Koemon.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Can attack with its tail when push comes to shove.
  • Chest Blaster: One of its cannons is on its chest.
  • Cyborg: It's a giant dinosaur outfitted with cybernetic weaponry.
  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: It's a dramon-type Digimon, despite otherwise simply being a sauropod spliced with a tank.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Specifically designed for long range combat, poor at up-close-and-personal battling.
  • More Dakka: "Grenade Storm" fires grenades randomly.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: A "Dramon"-type digimon, which in this case means a cyborg sauropod dinosaur with twin cannons grafted to its back.
  • Shoulder Cannon: The three long-range cannons on its back.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: "Dyna Cannon", whereupon it fires off all three of the cannons on its back.

    Cardmon S1

Cardmon S1

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_s1.png
Debuted in: Digimon World 3

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by kicking trees.

    Cardmon S2

Cardmon S2

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_s2.png

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by fishing.

    Cendrillmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cendrillmon_2.jpg
Debut: Digimon Liberator
Attacks: Marriage Strike, Noble Familiarts, Prism Date Break

An Ultimate Digimon born from the data of the fairy tale "Cinderella". Despite its appearances, it inhabits volcanic regions. It is based at the "Cinderella Castle", which is made of volcanic ash, and lives quietly so as to not attract the attention of others. However, when other Digimon visit the castle, it holds fighting tournaments called "balls", and spends all its time battling in search of its Prince - the only one that can defeat it.

The large number of familiars that accompany Cendrillmon are always wandering around vast areas, searching for candidates that could be its Prince, and distribute glass slippers in areas where strong Digimon that could win Cendrillmon's favor may live, and go around directly handing out glass slippers to the powerful. The glass slippers are troublesome items in that they forcibly transport those who possess them to Cinderella Castle, if they have a certain level of strength.

  • The Faceless: Cendrillmon's face is covered by a metallic helm, similar to Angewomon.
  • Fractured Fairy Tale: Born from data on the story of Cinderella, but clearly something went really wrong somewhere; Cendrillmon is the one looking for an unknown prince, and is quite prepared to destroy any candidate that doesn't measure up to its standards of strength.
  • Fur and Loathing: Has a fur shoulder wrap as part of its ensemble.
  • Improbable Weapon User: "Marriage Strike" has it skewer opponents on those glass slippers of it, since being made of glass (not the soft kind) they're pretty solid.
  • Light Is Not Good: Visually, a white, blue and blond-haired Digimon... who abducts any it thinks looks strong enough, has an army of familiars ready to help its abduction plans, and is a Virus type.
  • Suicide Attack: Its "Noble Familiarts" has it place its adoring familiars on a pumpkin-carriage shaped bombs which are then sent at the enemy.

    Chaosmon

Chaosmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chaosmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Accel — Justice Genome
Attacks: (Original) Haou Ryoudankennote , Dark Prominence, BAN-TYO Blade, End of Paradox; (Dub) Dragon Slash/Bantyo Blade, Dark Prominence, End of Paradox, Ban-Tyo Blade/Bancho Blade

Normally, when a DNA Digivolution occurs, the Digicores of the two fellow Digimon are completely fused and are reborn as a new Digimon, but Chaosmon retains each of the Digicores of the Digimon before the Digivolution, and maintains its form in a very incomplete state. Chaosmon is the codename for Digimon who "should not exist", and according to the "Central Dogma" of the Digital World, are absolute impossible singularities (bugs). Due to its extremely unstable existence, its lifespan is very brief, and it is conjectured that its lifespan was shortened as a result of running the program that eliminates the bugs released by the Digital World's managing system. This Chaosmon is believed to be one that was DNA Digivolved from BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon, and the faces of each Digimon are visible on its arms.

  • And Show It to You: Not a threat or inflicted upon it by others, but a consequence of its very nature; its two separate Digicores are visible on its shoulders.
  • Arm Cannon: The "Gigastick Cannon" on its "Darkdra Arm" (the left one) fires off its own charged cells as an energy blast to perform its "Dark Prominence" attack.
  • Badass Longcoat: It has a white colored one with an impressive set of coattails in addition to its many scarves and ribbons.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its "BAN-TYO Blade", like Omegamon's Grey Sword, deploys from the "Bantyo Blade" on its right arm.
  • Body Horror: Omegamon has what looks like stylized, transformed versions of MetalGreymon and WarGreymon's heads for "hands", while Chaosmon's "Bantyo Arm" and "Darkdra Arm" more or less look like Darkdramon and BanchoLeomon's severed heads.
  • Came Back Wrong: A variation; Digimon that DNA Digivolve end up being reborn as a fused being. Chaosmon not only didn't digivolve properly, it came into being as a living glitch destined to be deleted by the Digital World's defense mechanism.
  • Cool Sword: The "BAN-TYO Blade", used to perform "Haou Ryoudanken", a "invincible" decisive, sword stroke.
  • Evil Counterpart: More or less this to Omegamon; it's formed from the combination of two Digimon, and one of its components comprises a sword while another provides a cannon. Chaosmon is even more or less a Mirror Match to Omegamon, with the latter's sword arm and cannon arm being on opposite sides from the latter's. That said, it does follow Omegamon's pattern of a beast-based digimon forming the right arm and a dragon-based digimon forming the left, just with the weapons themselves reversed.
  • Fusion Dance: The product of one between BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: It's one of these in-universe. BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon are mortal enemies, and their very union resulted in a Digimon that, by all accounts, should not exist.
  • Humanoid Abomination: It's a take on Omegamon where the components do not match, and described as an impossible singularity.
  • Lean and Mean: Much more thin and lithe looking than Omegamon.
  • Merging Mistake: It is a failed fusion between BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon which, while looking like a complete being, is basically a living glitch.
  • Olympus Mons: Status inherited from BanchoLeomon if not Darkdramon.
  • Opposites Attract: Darkdramon's profile alludes to it and BanchoLeomon being bitter enemies. No wonder their fusion turned out so fundamentally wrong it literally broke the law of the Digital World.
  • Pixellation: Not used for censorship purposes, in this case, but rather used on several of Chaosmon's extremities in order to better reflect its nature as a living programming glitch.
  • Power Crystal: Has several, on its hips, chest, and head crest.
  • Reality-Breaking Paradox: Chaosmon is itself the living embodiment of dividing by zero, a walking talking "bug". Its existence is supposed to be impossible, and the Digital World itself has to correct it by deleting Chaosmon from the system. As shown by UltimateChaosmon, what began with Chaosmon can get much, much worse.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: Its body is wrapped in numerous scarves and ribbons.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Its End of Paradox attack shoots beams of both light and darkness.

Chaosmon: Valdur Arm

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chaosmonvaldurarm_3652.png
Debut: Digimon Xros Wars - Xros Navigator
Attacks: (Original) Haou Ryoudankennote , Aurora Blaster; (Dub) Bantyo Blade, Aurora Blaster

This Chaosmon is believed to be one that was DNA Digivolved from BanchoLeomon and Varodurumon, and the faces of each Digimon are visible on its arms.

  • Arm Cannon: The "Valdur Arm" more or less fills the same function as the "Darkdra Arm".
  • Holy Hand Grenade: As the "Valdur Arm" comes from a Holy-species digimon like Varodurumon, its "Aurora Blaster" is a purifying shot of light.
  • Light Is Not Good: Being half comprised of Varodurumon and wielding holy powers doesn't make Chaosmon any less dangerous and destructive.

    Chronomon

Holy Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chronomon_holymode.jpg
Attacks: Holy Flare, Chronos Crop

A legendary Digimon that was born together with the Chrono Data through the YMIR Project, it is able to change into Holy Mode only when it super-evolves with the power of holy light. It serves as the partner to Digimon World DS's protagonist, and is the Mega form of Hyokomon.

  • Holy Hand Grenade: Its "Holy Flare" attack blasts the opponent with holy power.
  • Olympus Mons: Chronomon was one of the strongest Digimon in the game it was introduced in. In-universe, it is considered a Super Ultimate/Ultra Digimon.

Destroy Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chronomon_destroymode.jpg
Attacks: (Original) Holy Flare, Poison Hole, Dread Night, Dark Banish, Finger Bomb, Ghoul Bind, Wind Blade, Corona, Call Avenger, Play of God, Power Sink; (Dub) Holy Flare, Venom Ball, Dreadful Night, Vanishing Touch, Finger Bomb, Ghoulish Bind, Gusty Blade, Corona, Avenger, Play of God, Power Sucker

It is sealed in the deepest part of the Digital World. It evolved to Destroy Mode under the influence of an evil Tamer's personality.

  • Light Is Not Good: It can still use Holy Mode's Holy Flare, just for not-so-benevolent purposes.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: How it first appeared.
  • The Virus: Chronomon Destroy Mode's data was turned into a virus, which eventually created Ophanimon C and ChaosGallantmon C.

    ClavisAngemon

ClavisAngemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clavisangemon.jpg
Attacks: Zenith Gate, The Key, Stargazer, Heaven's Arrow

An Angel Digimon which protects the "Zenith Gate" between the Digital World and the outside world. The "Zenith Gate" is sealed by means of 360 doors, and "The Key" held by Clavis Angemon is used as the master key to every door. "The Key" is a special key that only Clavis Angemon can handle, so one can say that Clavis Angemon itself is a part of the key. It is said that, through the power placed in the key, it is able to use enough offensive power to collapse the Digital World, but only on enemies that try to break through the doors.

ClavisAngemon debuted in Digimon World 4 as an unlockable character, and is a natural carrier of the X-Antibody.

    CresGarurumon

CresGarurumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cresgarurumon_7.jpg
Attacks: (Original) Kijū Engetsutounote , Jūrou Daikaitennote , Geki: Hyougetsuganote ; (Dub) Yellow Beast Crescent Blade, Beast Cyclone/Great Beast-Wolf Rotation, Fury: Ice Moon Fang

A final form of Garurumon, it is a subspecies of Metal Garurumon which has become humanoid, unlike Z'd Garurumon, a fellow final form. It is clad in armor made of a golden Chrondigizoit which deflects attacks, and specializes in swordplay wielding the "Kijū Engetsutou" as its weapon.

CresGarurumon is an alternate Mega for Gabumon, and has recently been partnered to Yamato (Matt) Ishida in Digimon Adventure: (2020) quite some time after BlitzGreymon's reveal.

  • Badass Cape: It has a flowing, tattered blue one.
  • Bling of War: It's clad entirely in Chronedigizoit.
  • An Ice Person: Its Ice Moon Fang attack has it change the shape of its weapon by adding pieces of ice.
  • Spin Attack: It spins rapidly during its Great Beast-Wolf Rotation attack.
  • Swapped Roles: Much like how BlitzGreymon is a cyborg version of WarGreymon, CresGarurumon serves as a gold-plated warrior version of MetalGarurumon.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Its Ice Moon Fang attack has it throw its weapon after adding ice to it.

    Cthyllamon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cthyllamon.png
Attacks: Ocean Hell, Buccal Rush, Aqua Grinder

Cthyllamon resides in the depths of the Net Sea. In the pitch black waters, only the skull on its chest is visible, appearing to float eerily through the darkness. This has earned Cthyllamon the alternative title, "phantom of the sea." This Digimon has a crafty disposition, and does not join fights of its own volition, instead brainwashing weaker aquatic Digimon and using them to fight on its behalf. Cthyllamon is seen very rarely and resembles MarineAngemon in many ways, but it is unknown whether there is any connection between the two.

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: It inflicts this on other Digimon to make them fight for it. Its Ocean Hell has this effect on particularly susceptible Digimon.
  • Evil Counterpart: To MarineAngemon, though any actual connection between them is ambiguous.
  • Multipurpose Tongue: Its Buccal Rush has it attack and ensnare other Digimon with its three extendable tongues.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: It shares the fairy type with MarineAngemon.
  • Supernatural Fear Inducer: Its Ocean Hell is an aura of unknowable terror that can also brainwash more susceptible Digimon.
  • This Is a Drill: Its Aqua Grider uses whirlpools as drills.

    DexDorugoramon

DexDorugoramon (Death-X-Dorugoramon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/death_x_dorugoramon_3.jpg
Debut: Digimon Pendulum X 2.0
Attacks: Metal Impulse, Doru Din

A figure of the Prototype Digimon "DORU Series" that was experimented on in search of further evolutions, which achieved its ultimate form through "Death-X Evolution". It is called the "Digicore Predator" because its own activity is dependent on the Digicores of other Digimon, and is nothing but a threat to them. Since it keeps preying on the Digicores of other Digimon, it is active despite its deceased condition, and its entire body is covered in restraints due to it storing the information from a massive Digicore within its body, so it is barely able to remain active as a lone Digimon.

Tropes unique to DexDorugoramon are listed here. For tropes that it shares with Dorugoramon, please see its own entry below.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Replaces the blade of Dorugoramon's tail with a sphere-shaped cage holding what looks like some kind of mysterious data inside it.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: Like the rest of its species, the "DORU" in its name is capitalized; while DORU is an acronym, capitalizing the "Doru" in its name is extraneous.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Dorugoramon and Alphamon.
  • Eyeless Face: It doesn't have any eyes.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Trades Dorugoramon's Razor Wings for red and black demonic ones.
  • Never Say "Die": As shown in its dub name, "Dex"-Dorugoramon.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: It's an undead zombie cybernetic dragon.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: Definitely meant to be zombie-like, considering it feeds on other Digimons' Digi-Cores.
  • Palette Swap: Averted. Though obviously based on Dorugoramon, it has a number of different features and details in addition to different colors.
  • Purple Is Powerful: It's purple, Mega-leveled, and extremely bad-tempered.
  • Stripped to the Bone: Its Metal Impulse blasts away everything except its enemy's digicore.
  • Red Baron: It is called "the Digi-Core Predator".
  • Too Many Belts: Absolutely covered in them in the places it doesn't have armor.
  • The Undead: It evolved through Death-X Evolution, which was achieved through experimentation with the Death-X relic to force the X-Antibdoy to give it a power boost after death.

    Dexmon

Dexmon (Death-X-mon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/death_x_mon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Pendulum X 3.0
Attacks: Process F, Process O

Since it doesn't have its own Digicore, this type of program cannot be classified as a Digimon, and although it appears solid, it has no actual substance. If it detects a Digicore it will absorb it into its body and disassemble it, then reassemble it in a perpetually repeating set of processes named "Process 0" through "Process F". Although it is a simple program, it is conjectured that defeating it is within the realm of impossibility. Unless there are Digicores nearby, it will go into stasis, but as long as there are Digicores it will not cease.

    Devitamamon

Devitamamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devitamamon.jpg
Debut: D-3 Digital Detect and Discover
Attacks: Black Death Cloud, Dazzling Eye

A Mutant-type Ultimate Digimon that is said to have Dark-evolved from Digitamamon. Although defining "Evil" in the Digital World is very difficult, this Devitamamon is a being like "Pandora's box", filled with all the evils of this world. It turns everything it sees and touches into an object of its hatred, and it recites and masters magic through a lost, ancient high-level programming language. As for its magic effects, they are used for nothing but "Destruction".

A winning entry in the Bandai-Town FAX Service Digimon Illustration Contest.

    Diaboromon

Diaboromon (Diablomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/diaboromon.png
Debut: Digimon Adventure: Our War Game
Attacks: (Original) Catastrophe Cannon, Paradise Lost, System Fail, Virus Download, Page Fault, Line Surge, Cable Crusher, Tentacle Bug, Multiply; (Dub) Web Wrecker/Inferno Missile/Cable Crusher/Catastrophe Cannon, Lost Paradise, System Failure, Virus Download, Page Fault, Line Surge, Cable Crusher, Tentacle Bug, Alias Fake

It repeatedly absorbs all the data on the Network in order to evolve and grow larger, and is depleting the Digital World to the brink of destruction. A Diaboromon that has absorbed a lot of data becomes convinced that it is an all-knowing and all-powerful being, and it takes pleasure in destruction and slaughter. However, when this Digimon congregates in great numbers, its raison d'être is made clear; as that ultimate goal is to hijack a military computer and try to destroy the Real World as well with a nuclear strike, this is a terrifying Digimon.

Diaboromon served as the main villain of Digimon Adventure Movie: Our War Game!, and attempted to do exactly what its bio stated it would do. In Digimon: The Movie, the Dub Text turned it into a Digi-Egg created by Wallace (Willis) that was infected by a computer virus, and wound up being the cause of his Kokomon's corruption. It would also return for the second 02 movie, where it became focused on eliminating the DigiDestined that defeated it before.

  • A God Am I: Starts seeing itself this way once it devours enough data.
  • Alliterative Name: Its "Catastrophe Cannon" attack, as well as its "Cable Crusher" and "Web Wrecker" attacks in the dub.
  • Big Eater: Diaboromon chows down on the network.
  • Chest Blaster: Its "Catastophe Cannon" is fired from its chest.
  • Cool Helmet: One with appropriate devil horns.
  • Creepily Long Arms: Has long, cable-like arms that can grow longer to hit things at a distance.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Not as much as Armageddemon, but it's still a horrifying monster that evokes the appearance of a genuine devil.
  • Extendable Arms: Diaboromon has a couple of these that it can use to crush the opponent with its "Cable Crusher" attack, or stab them with its "Tentacle Bug" attack.
  • Fangs Are Evil: It has very pointy teeth and aims to nuke the Real World.
  • Femme Fatalons: It has a large set of them.
  • Japanese Ranguage: Its English name is the romanization of its Japanese name.
  • Lean and Mean: A thin, stringy spider monster that wants to destroy both worlds.
  • Me's a Crowd: It can copy itself to outnumber and outgun its opponent, and each copy has the same amount of power as the original.
  • Monster Progenitor: Produces millions of Kuramon, as stated in Armageddemon's profile.
  • Nuke 'em: It's "raisen d'être" is to do this to the Real World, which it attempts to do in Digimon Adventure Movie: Our War Game!
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Gunning for the destruction of the Real and Digital Worlds.
  • Rubber Man: Extends its arms like massive cables when using its "Virus Download", "Cable Crusher" and "Tentacle Bug"
  • Shoulders of Doom: Its shoulders are a pair of long blue spikes.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Its "Line Surge" technique, where it spreads its arms out and spins in place.
  • Sphere of Destruction: Its "System Fail" technique, where it encases itself in a giant green sphere that blasts opponents away and devolves them.
  • Spikes of Villainy: A row of them down its back. It uses them in its "Page Fault" technique.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: It has a large, blue torso with Spikes of Villainy on top of its otherwise lanky body.
  • Villainous Glutton: It eats so much data to become all-knowing and all-powerful that it's depleting the Digital World to the brink of ruin. It's actually somewhat surprising that this guy isn't the Demon Lord of Gluttony.

Diaboromon X (Diablomon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/diablomonx.jpg
Attacks: Rewind Abyss 13, Spooky Zapper, Fatal Gaze

The most heinous of Digimon, shaped even more by a harsh ecosystem. The thought routines within its Digicore have run wild due to it taking in the X-Antibody, and it repeatedly destroys cyberspace to embody the idea that it is an all-knowing, omnipotent god. It uses any means necessary to achieve its goals, and has learned the art of setting cruel and cunning traps and moving about so that it can always gain the upper hand. It shows up in front of the enemy with an appearance like that of a balancing toy, using its tail as a pivot point, and gives off a feeling of instinctive revulsion through its strange movements and the attacks it unleashes from normally impossible poses like a mollusk.

  • Abnormal Limb Rotation Range: Diaboromon X's ability to contort its body on unnatural ways, makes other Digimon have feelings of instinctive revulsion from gazing at them.
  • Deadly Gaze: Its apptly named Fatal Gaze allows it to absorb the data of any digimon that gazes into all twelve of its visible eyes.
  • De-power: By opening its hidden thirteenth eye, it can force a digimon to de-digivolve with its Rewind Abyss 13 attack.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Even more so than its previous form. Diaboromon now comes with the added feature of causing a case of screaming terror in anything that lays eyes on it.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: Has twelve eyes all over its body, as well as a hidden thirteenth one.
  • Purple Is Powerful: The black and green of its form have been turned purple.

    Diarbbitmon

Diarbbitmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/diarbbitmon.png
Debut: Vital Bracelet BE
Attacks: Trusgain, Buidhedearg, Backstlash

An astute Beast Knight Digimon that protects the nature-rich land inhabited by many Beast Digimon. It has a gentle personality and prefers spending its time quietly while interacting with the Digimon around it. If an enemy that threatens the land appears, it will draw its two cherished swords, "Móralltach" and "Beagalltach", and drive the enemy back with its nimble movements. Even the usually well-mannered Diarbbitmon invokes its rage against those who ravage the land, slashing them until not even a trace remains, and will also keep pursuing their allies until they are annihilated.

Diarbbitmon is the Mega form of Angoramon and is partnered to Ruli Tsukiyono.

  • Bishōnen Line: It acts as this for the Angoramon line, with its human-like appearance particularly contrasting with the monstrous Lamortmon.
  • Bling of War: It wields golden swords and what armor it has is also gold.
  • Blade Spam: Its Trustgain is a split-second version of this with its dual swords.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: Its Backstlash has it create several afterimages that attack individually before disappearing.
  • Dual Wielding: It wields two rapiers by default.
  • Gaia's Vengeance: Of the Gaia's Avenger variety. It fights any who damage the environment to the death and then goes after their allies.
  • Little Bit Beastly: While it's impossible to tell if it actually has rabbit ears under its helmet, it does have the same tail as its pre-evolutions.
  • Morphic Resonance: It has a fur cape that resembles its pre-evolutions' fluff and its hair is the same color.
  • Named Weapons: Its swords are named after Diarmuid Ua Duibhne's swords, Móralltach and Beagalltach.
  • Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: It's named after Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, a demigod from Irish myth. Its swords are named after Diarmuid's and one of its attacks is named after his spears.
  • Royal Rapier: It dual-wields golden rapiers to go with its regal outfit.
  • Sigil Spam: It has the rabbit symbol from SymbareAngoramon's ear-blades engraved in multiple places on its armor and swords. The pommels of its swords are the same shape.

    Dijiangmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dijiangmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon New Century
Attacks: Fierce Wicked Spin, Curse Rush, Chaos Sub-Void, Faceless Ancient Beast

A Mutant Digimon whose entire body is covered in leather and has a terrifying posture. Because it does not speak and does not express itself with body language, it just stands in eerie silence. It infiltrates into groups of Digimon and sends out a telepathy-like signal that stimulates their fighting instinct and causes them to fight amongst themselves to cause chaos.

  • Extendable Arms: Its Curse Rush extends its arms far enough to knock flying Digimon out of the sky.
  • Hate Plague: It uses telepathy to make Digimon fight amongst themselves by ramping up their fighting instict.
  • Humanoid Abomination: It's a lanky, silent monster covered head-to-toe in leather and anything pulled into its zipper vanishes and even Dijiangmon itself doesn't know where they end up.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Its Chaos Sub-Void has it open a portal in its zipper and drag other Digimon somewhere else. The attack's animation in Digimon New Century suggests that it takes them to a starry Pocket Dimension full of crows and that it's the place's Domain Holder. On the other hand, its profile says even it doesn't know where they go.

    Dinorexmon

Dinorexmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dinorexmon.png
Debut: Digimon Pendulum X 2.0
Attacks: Ogre Flame, Splatter Hunting

With strength far in excess of other Dinosaur Digimon, it is a carnivorous Dinosaur Digimon named the "King of Terror" due to the unparalleled ferocious nature it displays in battle. With its talons, which are almost half as long as its body, it seizes the opponent, snaps and brandishes its gigantic jaws at them, then kills them. Its exceedingly brutal manner, which appears in the finest battles of a world where the weak are food for the strong, is probably the reason it is called the "King". Partly due to it fighting with other Dinorexmon, it is said that the population is very small.

Dinorexmon is a potential evolution for Takuma Momotsuka's Agumon in Digimon Survive, being obtainable through the Harmonious Route.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Which it uses in its "Splatter Hunting" technique. Its primary claws are as nearly as long as its body!
  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: "Ogre Flame" is a fire-breathing attack that fires explosive, magma-like grenades that melt the opponent on contact.
  • Endangered Species: A self made one, due to most Dinorexmon killing each other.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: A combination Tyrannosaurus rex and raptors.
  • Prehistoric Monster: Among the strongest of the Dinosaur Digimon, and displays power and ferociousness unparalleled by its fellow dinos.
  • Raptor Attack: It has the Hollywood raptor's popular portrayal as a vicious killing machine and an extremely exaggerated version of their raised foot claws.
  • Red Baron: It's called the "King of Terror".
  • T. Rexpy: Evoked in its name and title, "The King of Terror", and its stocky and powerful build.

    Dinotigermon

Dinotigermon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dinotigermon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Pendulum X 2.0
Attacks: Highland Fang, Ground Fang

Injured Digimon have become its prey. It is an Ancient Beast Digimon which took in the metal elements of the earth, super-hardened its whole body, and evolved from one of the few Saber Leomon which have repeated and survived endless battles, where the weak are food for the strong. Its movements are not swift compared to Saber Leomon, but it possesses almost twice as much tough flesh and physical strength, and with its big, sharp, sword-like fangs, it forcibly brings down even Digimon larger than itself and which possess thick skin or armor. Other Digimon fear Dinotigermon, who possesses daring and wild predatory instinct, and do not approach.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Which it uses in "Ground Fang", an attack in which it tears its opponent apart while holding it down.
  • Death from Above: "Highland Fang", which involves cutting its foes with its fangs while leaping down from above.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Evolved from SaberLeomon by absorbing minerals from the earth.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: Despite its profile mentioning it, no virtual pet, card, or other Digimon-related media depicts Dinotigermon evolving from SaberLeomon.
  • Mega Neko: A smilodon, which was already a very big kitty.
  • Mighty Glacier: Slower than SaberLeomon, but larger and more powerful.
  • Panthera Awesome: While SaberLeomon was smilodon-inspired already, Dinotigermon takes it up a notch.
  • Prehistoric Monster: It's a prehistoric Digimon that strikes fear into its prey.

    Dominimon

Dominimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dominimon_5.jpg
Attacks: Final Excalibur, Zero Heavens, Devotion Field

A Dominion Digimon also known as a phantom. It acts on its own accord without being bound by the angelic chain of command. If a powerful enemy emerges, it will join forces with ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon to defeat it. It is a rare species that suddenly manifests akin to a mutation when the balance between light and darkness in the Digital World is disrupted, and so very few have ever seen it. With a personality that values its entire race over any individual, it doesn't treat its own life as being that important, and will launch a death-defying special attack to get out of a predicament without hesitation.

Dominimon debuted as an alternate Mega form for MagnaAngemon in Digimon V-Tamer 01, after his win ratio dropped and made him unable to evolve into Seraphimon. With its return after two decades, it has become part of a line consisting of Luxmon, Pidmon and ArkhaiAngemon.

  • Beam Spam: It can use its shields to fire beams in all directions.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: It keeps MagnaAngemon's arm blade, though it's now a green Laser Blade.
  • Brought Down to Badass: In V-Tamer, it doesn't lose all its powers, but while still a capable fighter and still counted as a Mega level, it is not as powerful as Seraphimon.
  • The Bus Came Back: In early 2023, Dominimon was finally announced for BEMemory for the Vital Bracelet BE themed around angels and birds. This is its first appearance outside of V-Tamer 01, fully two decades after its original debut with no appearances in between.
  • Cast from Lifespan: Its "Devotion Field" move boosts the power of any nearby Angel Digimon, but at the cost of shortening Dominimon's lifespan.
  • Celestial Bureaucracy: A Dominion-Type Digimon, referring to one of the several different heavenly choirs of angels. Invoked in the Digimon mythos by making it below ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon.
  • Expy: Its design is basically the meeting point between Seraphimon and HolyAngemon, and its first appearance had it exist because a Seraphimon who'd devolved to MagnaAngemon after losing a battle could no longer go back.
  • Eye-Obscuring Hat: Dominimon now wears one similar to MagnaAngemon, as opposed to the full-on helmet that Seraphimon has.
  • I Work Alone: Generally keeps to itself to avoid the chain of command, but if a serious enough threat emerges it goes and finds ClavisAngemon and SlashAngemon to fight it.
  • Laser Blade: It wields Final Excalibur, which is closer to what MagnaAngemon uses in battle.
  • Not Afraid to Die: It values all life more than its own, and will quite gladly sacrifice itself to defeat the enemy without a moment's hesitation.
  • Our Angels Are Different: It has eight wings like MagnaAngemon, indicating that it's still a powerful angel Digimon despite being a downgrade from Seraphimon.
  • Shoulders of Doom: It has two massive shields on its shoulders.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In its manga appearance, it was basically a weaker Seraphimon as a result of MagnaAngemon losing its winning streak, though it was nonetheless capable of standing up to someone like Arcadiamon. With its grand return, it's become a Power Trio with SlashAngemon and ClavisAngemon, is a rare Digimon brought about by unusual circumstances, and defies death to get out of a jam. It's safe to say that Dominimon cleaned up its act in its long absence.
  • Winged Humanoid: It has eight pairs of wings.

    DoneDevimon

DoneDevimon (DanDevimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/donedevimon_0.jpg
Attacks: Destroy Claw, Ultimate Flare, Mias-spew

A form of Devimon that took in negative data to its limit and became a Mega. Its mental state is between normal and abnormal, and once it is angered, its intelligence vanishes, and it attacks in a ferocious manner. Digimon that are attacked by a berserk DoneDevimon disappear without a trace.

DoneDevimon debuted as the proper Mega level of Digimon Adventure: (2020)'s incarnation of Devimon.

    Dorugoramon

Dorugoramon (DORUgoramon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dorugoramon.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Starter Ver. 9 DORUgoramon Terror Deck/Omegamon Purge Deck
Attacks: (Original) Brave Metal, DORU Din; (Dub) Supreme Courage/Brave Metal, Doru Djinn

Dorugoramon is an imaginary Digimon born from the "Daydream of a Digicore". It is a form that had even the Digicore's own creativity released through the Interface on its brow, and evolved. Possibly because it naturally possessed the potent life-force data of the legendary beast, the "Dragon", within its Digicore, the form created by its Digicore is a mighty avatar of "Destruction", and is an incarnation of the "Ultimate Enemy".

Dorugoramon is one of Dorumon's possible Mega forms and one of the Digimon that carries the X-Antibody. It is partnered to Zhìguāng Lóng, as well as Kota Doumoto in Digimon Chronicle.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It has a pointed blade at the end of its tail.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: Like the rest of its species, the "DORU" in its name is capitalized; while DORU is an acronym, capitalizing the "Doru" in its name is extraneous.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: What brought Dorugoramon into existence, apparently.
  • Demoted to Extra: Most Bandai-related material uses Alphamon as Dorumon's Mega form, even having it evolve from DoruGreymon and not Grademon as it was originally designed. Alphamon even gets treated like DexDorugoramon and Dexmon's Foil, despite both of them drawing inspiration from Dorugoramon. Seems to be finally subverted as Dorugoramon has finally appeared in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory as an obtainable Digimon after being shoved aside in favor of Alphamon.
  • Digital Monster of Mass Destruction: Referred to as such in its profile. Also counts as Foreshadowing of its connection to Dexmon, the final enemy of the X-Antibody storyline.
  • Foil: To DexDorugoramon, its Evil Counterpart, to Alphamon, Dorumon's alternate Mega form, and Ouryumon, another Dragon digimon born from a Digicore's "daydream" and the final form of the Ryudamon line.
  • Incendiary Exponent: A lot of its official artwork shows it projecting fire from its hands.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Contains the life-force of the "Dragon" inside its Digicore, and continues to be a "Beast Dragon" type continuing from Dorugamon and DoruGreymon.
  • Power Crystal: The "old style interface" on its head, which is a trait of all of Dorumon's various forms.
  • Ramming Always Works: "Brave Metal", an attack where Dorugoramon puts "all its body and soul" into an attack.
  • Razor Wings: Shown to have metallic-looking wings, with sharp-looking, dagger like structures pointing out.
  • Sphere of Destruction: "DORU Din", a destructive shockwave.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Its standard profile artwork shows it capable of doing this with its hands.

    Eaglemon

Eaglemon (Crossmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crossmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Web Dot-art Contest
Attacks: (Original) Kaiser Phoenix, Mystic Break; (Dub) C Phoenix/Phoenix Claw, Mystic Break

A Giant Bird Digimon whose body is clad in gold armor. The armor that covers its whole body is made of Chrondigizoit, so it deflects every attack. Eaglemon is said to be an evolved form of the Perfect Digimon, Parrotmon. It is said that it is Eaglemon's duty to annihilate the invaders that enter the Digital World.

Eaglemon was adopted from a winning Digimon entry in the "Digimon Web Dot-art Contest" which belonged to Mr. Shun Nabetou from Fukuoka prefecture.

    Ebemon

Ebemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ebemon_5.png
Debut: Second Original Digimon Contest
Attacks: (Original) Brain Rupture, Smash Bobby, Planet Destroyer; (Dub) Crusher Bone/Brain Blast/Brain Rupture, Smash Bobby, Neuro Destroyer/Planet Destroyer

A Cyborg Digimon that was artificially created from a Vademon that was captured, and had its configuration data analyzed and improved. In a certain country's facility, called "Area 51", it seems they were using and building extraterrestrial technology, but the truth is shrouded in mystery. It is said that that certain country is covertly conducting research and development on Digimon in order to take possession of the Digital World.

EBEmon was adopted from a winning Digimon illustration entry in the "Digimon Web Dot-art Contest" which belonged to Mr. Yousuke from Gifu prefecture.

  • Area 51: This is where secret government experiments turned a captured space alien into a powerful cyborg for mysterious ends.
  • Armies Are Evil: The US is trying to weaponize it.
  • Cyborg: It's a heavily mechanized version of Vademon, its old organic brain still faintly visible through its translucent "skull".
  • Earth-Shattering Kaboom: Invoked. It has an attack called Planet Destroyer.
  • Mind Probe: How its Brain Rupture attack works.

Ebemon X (Ebemon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ebemonx.jpg
Attacks: Brain Rupture, Planet Destroyer, Planet Destroyer Justice

Ebemon's ability to continuously make further improvements to itself was demonstrated at a certain country's "Area 51". The gun in its right hand is so high performing that it can even be regarded as its second brain; it instantly makes calculations for any location or target and fires its "Planet Destroyer Justice", which is always shot with 100% accuracy even if it is a little forced. A shot that is considered to be a misfire is also a way of showing and justifying that the outcome was within its calculations.

  • Awesome, but Impractical: Its size and power mean that it needs huge amounts of resources to operate, so it usually doesn't fight without the help of skilled hackers.

Unlike the inspiration, however, GrandisKuwagamon is an evolved form in its own right, not just a mode change. This is listed under Expy due to the fact that GrandisKuwagamon debuted years after Imperialdramon's forms did.

Because it inhabits the depths of the Digital World's forests, and is only active at night, it is called the "Demon of the Deep Forest". Its greatest rival is HerculesKabuterimon, and the battle between these two continues without ever ending.

The WonderSwan games depict GranKuwagamon as being the natural Mega form of Ken Ichijouji's partner, Wormmon.

  • Palette Swap: Inverted; GranKuwagamon follows a lot of the same design rules as Imperialdramon, who debuted at around the same time, being immense, predominantly black, and non-bipedal. These traits are just translated from dragon to insect in keeping with their predecessors Paildramon and Dinobeemon.

  • Eldritch Abomination: It keeps Mephismon's Gruesome Goat inspiration, makes it a centaur the size of a mountain, gives it wings, and makes it a One-Winged Angel form.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Has eagle wings on its back. Whether it can actually fly using them is unclear.
  • Hell Gate: Its Belly Mouth is a portal to the Dark Area, which allows it to destroy the souls of Digimon.
  • Mighty Roar: "Supersonic Voice", which can disrupt an enemy's data.: Its Dead Scream, which emits the cries of the dead, which is just as deadly to those that hear it as Black Requiem.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: A demonic centaur with wings.
  • Throat Light: Its Belly Mouth is shown with one of these in its Digimon Jintrix artwork.

    HeavyLeomon

HeavyLeomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/heavyleomon.jpg
Debut: Digimon: ReArise
Attacks: Barrage Sweeper, Resting Burner, Sonic Excavator

A rare Machine Digimon with a large build that is the heaviest among several Leomon families. Its power is the greatest among Machine-types thanks to its charging power, so it is difficult to stop HeavyLeomon from charging head-on. The source of its charging power is its passionate fighting spirit; the more its fighting spirit burns, the more HeavyLeomon's strength increases. In addition, unlike its weapons, which are used solely for fighting, it has a kind heart in that it also carries out rescue operations, so if there is a Digimon that needs help, it will firstly rush over to them, and then removes any obstacles using its prided power.

HeavyLeomon is a partner Digimon in ReArise, belonging to Keito Tamada.

  • Chest Blaster: The lion head on its chest doubles as a flamethrower.
  • Flaming Hair: Its mane is made of fire.
  • Gentle Giant: Big, ferocious in battle and heavily armed, HeavyLeomon also immediately rushes to the aid of anyone in distress. Then it uses its tremendous power to annihilate whatever's causing that distress.
  • Homage: It's based on old-school Super Robots, and its leonine design and being powered by its passionate spirit bring to mind the [King Of Braves itself.
  • Hot-Blooded: It draws power from its passionate spirit, and its attacks intensify the more passionate it gets.
  • Kill It with Fire: Its "Resting Burner" shoots fire at the opponent from the lion head on its chest.
  • Panthera Awesome: Another member of the Leomon line.
  • Pile Bunker: It has one attached to its right arm, which it uses for its "Sonic Excavator."
  • Shoulder Cannon: It has an autocannon on its left shoulder that it uses for its "Sweeper Barrage."

    HerculesKabuterimon

HerculesKabuterimon (HerakleKabuterimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/herculeskabuterimon_7.png
Debut: Digimon Pendulum 1.0 — Nature Spirits
Attacks: (Original) Giga Blaster, Kyodai Hasaminote , High Mega Blaster, Horn Buster Kainote ; (Dub) Mega Electro Shocker, Giga Scissor Claw

A Mega Insect Digimon that evolved with the data of Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon-species Digimon. It has a gigantic horn and scissors, and it can be said that its form perfectly compensates for the weaknesses of those two type of Digimon, which had opposing natures. Its body shines gold, and it has regained and strengthened the flying ability which AtlurKabuterimon had lost, so it rushes about the Digital World at speed. Having now accomplished this Ultimate evolution, there are probably few Digimon who can rival HerculesKabuterimon.

The Digimon Adventure RPG, WonderSwan games, Digimon Adventure tri. and Digimon Adventure: (2020) depict HerculesKabuterimon as the Mega form of Koushiro (Izzy) Izumi's Tentomon.

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: A rhinoceros beetle that makes the previous AtlurKabuterimon look puny.
  • Big Good: The Flavor Text for one of its cards in the "Jintrix" series refer to it as "the King of Insects."
  • Energy Ball: Its High Mega Blaster fires a sphere of electricity from each of its hands for a total of four.
  • Giant Flyer: Despite being a giant beetle, it is still capable of flying.
  • Gold Makes Everything Shiny: As shown by its golden-colored shell.
  • Horn Attack: Its Horn Buster Kai is one of these with an electrified horn.
  • Japanese Beetle Brothers: Combines traits of the stag beetle-based Kuwagamon species and the rhino beetle-based Kabuterimon species, while also being GranKuwagamon's rival. On the other hand, it seems to be primarily based on the tri-horned Atlas beetle (Chalcosoma atlas), a much bigger rhinoceros beetle variant than the kabutomushi.
  • Lightning Bruiser: It's deceptively fast for its size.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: It has four arms thanks to being a bipedal insect.
  • Paint It Black: In Digimon Linkz, being mutated by Volcanicdramon turns its carapace pitch-black.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Giga Blaster", "High Mega Blaster", and "Horn Buster Kai" attacks all emit lightning from different parts of its body.
  • Thunder Beetle: Much like the Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon lines it's based on, HerculesKabuterimon is a gigantic beetle-like creature that fights primarily through Shock and Awe attacks.

HerculesKabuterimon X (HerakleKabuterimon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/heraklekabuterimonx.jpg
Attacks: Giga Blaster, Horn Buster Kai

It has changed from an insect-like appearance into one that is more specialized in hand-to-hand combat, and both its hands and feet have transformed into sturdy limbs. However, it hasn't lost the speed characteristic of insects, and its nimble movements and the way in which it easily lifts objects that are many times larger than its body are proof that it is overwhelmingly strong.

  • Bishounen Line: It's much more humanoid than the normal-looking HerculesKabuterimon, possessing a more upright posture, a larger set of forearms, and a much smaller set of second arms.
  • Golden Super Mode: It's gone from having a purely yellow color scheme to a gold one.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Even more of one than its normal state. Whereas before it was already pretty fast, now it has a set of arms so that it can presumably punch faster.

    Hexeblaumon

Hexeblaumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hexeblaumon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Encounters
Attacks: Summon Frost, Hecto Edge Blizzard, Absolute Blast

A Magic Knight Digimon that only those who have mastered ice sorcery (a high-level programming language) are able to evolve to. It protected other Digimon until the very end during an ice age that came to the Digital World long ago, and was later rumored to have moved to another dimension, "Witchelny". It excels in the art of manipulating the cold, and creates various things with ice. It starts with weapons such as swords and hammers, and then other tools such as restraints that restrict the enemy's movements, and is also capable of erecting a barrier to defend itself from attacks, so it is definitely an ice professional.

  • An Ice Person: It's made mostly of ice and is a master of ice magic.
  • Anime Hair: Its hair is much spikier than CrysPaledramon's.
  • Kill It with Ice: While his prior evolutions were all ice users, Hexeblaumon is capable of reaching Absolute Zero. It's Absolute Blast attack in particular spews a wave of Absolute Zero ice from the dragon jaws on it's shoulder that freezes it's enemies over before leaving them Literally Shattered Lives.
  • Magic Knight: Both in terms of the trope and its official type. It's a heavily armored 'mon that wields ice magic.
  • Sigil Spam: As the Mega form of the Blucomon line, its gauntlets and boots are emblazoned with its pre-evolutions' triple-hexagon marking.
  • Spontaneous Weapon Creation: It uses it's ice magic to create various weapons, notably swords for it's Hecto Edge Blizzard, hammers, and a spear/staff that functions as it's primary weapon. Notably, official art depicts the latter as emitting a trail of frost vapor causing it to resemble a scythe.
  • Storm of Blades: Its Hecto Edge Blizzard attack creates swords of ice that rain on a target.

    HolyDigitamamon

HolyDigitamamon

A fan-created Digimon that was made official through the Second Original Digimon Contest. Not much is known about this Digimon at the moment, and it doesn't even have official artwork. However, it is still an official Digimon accepted into the roster.

Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: (Original) Biotoxin, Intense Lantern, Division Break; (Dub) Biotoxin, Scatterblaster, Fault Break

A gigantic Plant Digimon that mostly takes root in swampland. It constantly secretes a deadly venom from its whole body, which it uses to mercilessly melt and prey upon those that touch it. It also has a habit of expelling large amounts of deadly venom from its abdomen, which melts the ground, and creates a swamp to expand its nest. The swamps disturb the surrounding ecosystem, so if you see ominous flowers that have grown abnormally, it is a sign to be cautious.

  • Belly Mouth: It has a vertical set of jaws on its abdomen.
  • Breath Weapon: Its Intense Lantern, which has the Digimon randomly fire beams from its three heads.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Its Division Break attack spreads ivy underground to create violent fissures. This is its most powerful attack, allowing it to completely destroy the enemy as well as the earth around it.
  • Our Hydras Are Different: It's a combination of the Hydra from Classical Mythology and the hydrangea genus of flower, resulting in reptilian, three-headed beast made out of colorful vines.
  • Poisonous Person: Hydramon is always secreting a potent venom from its body that melts whoever touches it. Its Biotoxin attack spews a poison gas from its Belly Mouth, which has the same properties.
  • Vagina Dentata: Its Belly Mouth is a vertical, teardrop-shaped, fang-lined orifice taking up the majority of its front end.

Due to its immense power, controlling it is next to impossible, and depending on how it was raised it may become a saviour or a god of destruction.

Imperialdramon is the Mega form of Paildramon, which DNA Digivolved from V-mon and Wormmon and is partnered to Daisuke (Davis) Motomiya and Ken Ichijouji. However, the WonderSwan games depict V-mon naturally evolving into it by itself.

A form of the Ancient Dragon Digimon Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode that acquired the power of the holy knight Omegamon, powering up and changing into a legendary holy knight (Paladin Mode). As the final, strongest form of Imperialdramon that was told of since ancient times, it descended in a time of great disruption in the ancient Digital World, and rescued the world from complete collapse. However, all of the details of that era are a mystery, and if research into Digimon and the Digital World progresses, it is likely that they will eventually be clarified.

Imperialdramon: Paladin Mode made its grand appearance in the second 02 movie, serving as the strongest form of Imperialdramon after Omegamon lended them their power to defeat Armageddemon. • Gold and White Are Divine: A holy knight Digimon with gold and white armor.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: It has the look of one.

Jijimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jijimon.png
Attacks: (Original) Hung on Death, Beckoning Cat, Gentle Punch; (Dub) Hung on Death/Claw of Doom, Cat Cane

An Ancient Digimon who resembles an old man. Jijimon is thought to have existed since the genesis of the Digital World, and that it knows everything there is to know about it. Though it is friends with Digimon who uphold justice, its own body is feeble. It has the ability to summon humans to the Digital World in times of crisis. In addition to having great knowledge, Jijimon supposedly has a great power of its own... but rarely uses it.

Jijimon made its first appearance as the mayor of File City back in the original Digimon World. Another Jijimon is a prominent member of Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters).

  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He allegedly knows everything, but doesn't use his own power.

  • Miniature Senior Citizens: It's another Digimon with a smaller size than they appear.

  • Old Master: He appears in this role in absolutely every single appearemce... save for Digimon Tamers, where he's just a senile old man.
  • Retcon: Introduced in Digimon World, which was released before the Pendulum v-pets came out and introduced the Mega level.
  • Spear Counterpart: To Babamon, another Mega Digimon resembling a little old lady.

JumboGamemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jumbogamemon.jpg
Debut: Digivice iC 20X
Attacks: Jumbo Crater, Jumbo Jetter, Megaton Hydro Laser

If you want a good example of an adage, "The best defense is a good offense", then look no further than this Gigantic Cyborg Digimon. It added beam cannons to its entire body until the strength of its metal body's shell was compromised. In compensation of its vulnerability, all of its cannon can blast out extremely high-speed streams of water the pierces through all surrounding ground-based units. This attack covers 360°.

JumboGamemon has been portrayed as the Mega level of Hiroshi (Homer) Yushima's Kamemon, which was seen in Digimon World Data Squad.

  • Cyborg: Has added metal cannons all over its now-metallic body.
  • Glass Cannon: Since its defense is sacrificed for all the cannon it mounted onto itself, all the enemy need to do is to get around its attack to beat JumboGamemon. Of course, that's if it can get around its attack.
  • Kaiju: A giant turtle-monster.
  • Shout-Out: Basically a robotic version of Gamera.

    Justimon

Justimon

By switching out the three plugs on its right shoulder, which are equipped to the "Extend Transmitter" on its back, it can make its arm transform into the power type "Accel Arm", the lightning type "Blitz Arm", or the cutter-type "Critical Arm".

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/justimonx.jpg

It no longer needs to switch between its three Arms; they have become the Blitz Arm on its right arm, the Critical Arm on its left arm, and the Accel Leg on its left leg. • Scarf of Asskicking: It's still got its muffler, which has swapped colours from red to white.

Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster

An Ultimate Digimon that evolved by tempering its body and soul to the limit through unimaginable training. Fighting is a sacred rite to Kazuchimon that must never be desecrated as it has devoted everything to it. It is a natural-born warrior who is so immersed that it continues to refine its tactics and strategies regardless of its own comforts, and once in battle, it turns into a raging war god and exhibits the strength to take on a thousand warriors.

Kazuchimon is the "default" Mega of Pulsemon and is partnered to Leon Alexander.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The original official translation was "Kaduchimon". The God is "Takemikazuchi", not "Takemikaduchi".
  • Dual Wielding: It wields two swords made of lightning.

    KingChessmon

KingChessmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kingchessmon.png
Debut: Digivice Burst
Attacks: Checkmate, King Stick, King Dash

A Puppet Digimon resembling PawnChessmon with a mustache who wears a crown, a cape and wields the "King Stick". It maneuvers behind the scenes to build a Chessmon empire. However, nobody knows what kind of thing a Chessmon empire is, and because of the environs, they aren't even interested. Since it is a coward it almost never attacks by itself, and it's only fast when it comes to running away in an emergency. Its catchphrase is, "He that fights and runs away may live to fight another day!" However, it also has an intellect that is surprisingly on the same level as a supercomputer. It can create a decoy of itself to escape easier, but if it's completely cornered, it can unexpectedly unleashed a powerful attack.

  • Brains and Brawn: The brains to QueenChessmon's brawn.
  • Chess Motifs: He's a living king piece and, much like the king piece in chess, he's absolutely useless in a fight.
  • Dirty Coward: He will flee the first chance he gets, and will only fight as the absolute last resort.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: He's about the same size as his Rookie form.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Zigzagged. A PawnChessmon can only become a Mega by fighting and winning repeatedly, but curiously on becoming a KingChessmon most of that fighting ability dries up and blows away.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Compared to the Statuesque Stunner that is QueenChessmon, he's a tiny little thing.

    KingEtemon

KingEtemon

Attacks: (Original) Saru Shibainote , King Monkick; (Dub) Monkey Wrench, King Monkey Kick

The "snazzy" Saru Suit it wears is emblazoned with the characters for "Great King". Despite the fact that it swaggers about as though it were a huge star, most digimon treat KingEtemon derisively. KingEtemon has formed a sort of "mock" Royal Family with PrinceMamemon, who honestly believes itself to be royalty.

  • Bare-Fisted Monk: "King Monkick" is by all intents and purposes a simple kick.
  • Bling of War: Its "Saru Suit" is colored gold.

  • Maniac Monkeys: Much like Etemon, it's a virus-type monkey.
  • Miles Gloriosus: How bad is it at this? The Flavor Text for one of the cards says it considers itself a Royal Knight.
  • One-Way Visor: As opposed to Etemon and MetalEtemon's Cool Shades.
  • Pimped-Out Cape: It now dons one to show off its newfound status.
  • Requisite Royal Regalia: It now wears a king's crown and cape at all times.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: It's said to be among the strongest Etemon species, but now it calls itself the "King of Kings" and wishes to lord that self-imposed status above everyone round it.
  • Stealth Pun: Just like Etemon, it outfit is called a "Saru Suit". What does this translate to? "Monkey Suit".

  • Retcon: In 2021, a card was released for the TCG that gave its level as Mega. It was originally from Digimon Fusion, which didn't make use of levels.
  • Turtle Island: It has an entire island attached to the carapace on its head.

  • Palette Swap: A variant of Sakuyamon Miko Mode with a purple helmet.
  • Ritual Magic: This form is specialized for rituals.

Lampmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lampmon.jpg

As it is the possessor of powerful magical abilities, it is not only able to alter its size and shape into an ever-changing appearance, but it can also produce palaces and vast treasures of gold and silver. Basically, it is usually sealed within the lamp, and the person who releases it will have their wishes granted. However, while it is sealed its personality is distorted, and it can become a dangerous being that will attack the one who releases it.

  • Jerkass Genie: Very much so. It can grant the wishes of whoever releases it, but being stuck in a lamp has made it bad tempered, and it's just as likely to attack whoever lets it out.

    Lotosmon

Lotosmon (Lotusmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lotusmon.jpg
Attacks: Seven's Fantasia, Serpent Ruin, Serpent Cure

It has an appearance like the lotus, which is said to be a flower that blooms in heaven. Its personality is lady-like in its calmness and grace, and it possesses the abilities of making people forget the suffering of this sad world and granting them good dreams. However, it will bring down its grand hammer on those that refuse that good will. In its left hand it holds the Caduceus that administers restoration and devastation, and in its right hand it holds a staff of rainbow-colored flowers.

Lotosmon is an alternate, "main" Mega level of Lalamon, but isn't actually partnered to Yoshino in Digimon Data Squad. It is, however, partnered with Sayo.

  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: Its Seven's Fantasia attack fires a rainbow-colored beam, which it fires from its equally colorful staff.
  • Expy: Of Rosemon, and it happens to be a fellow potential evolution of Lilamon.

    LovelyAngemon

LovelyAngemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lovelyangemon.jpg
Debut: Digimon ReArise
Attacks: Dream Hurricane, Marble Impact, Lovely Shower

A close combat specialist who is renowned as an angel on Earth. It is always bright and cheerful, and adorns itself in a fashionable manner, and has a lovely personality that enjoys eating delicious things while walking about. However, LovelyAngemon contains the data of magical fighters who engage in hand-to-hand combat, and deals fiendish enemies it can never forgive with a breathtaking combo of combat techniques. No matter what sort of crisis arise, it will overcome the predicament with its spirit of never giving up, and achieve victory at any cost.

LovelyAngemon is a partner Digimon in ReArise, where it's partnered to Michi Shinjo.

  • Care-Bear Stare: Its "Lovely Shower" attack has it fire heart-shaped shots at its enemy, purifying their evil heart.
  • Megaton Punch: Its "Marble Punch" has it put all its strength into its fist, then hitting the opponent with a seven-colored punch.
  • Our Angels Are Different: An angel and member of the Angemon family, but its power is largely centred around physical combat, rather than the usual Holy Hand Grenade powers of its kin. It also largely lacks wings.
  • The Pollyanna: It's always bright and cheerful.

    MaloMyotismon

MaloMyotismon (BelialVamdemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/belialvamdemon.jpg
Attacks: (Original) Pandemonium Flame, Melting Blood, Mind Illusion, Howling Blood, Soul Shield, Pandemonium, Black Rain; (Dub) Screaming Darkness/Pandemonium Flare, Crimson Mist/Melting Blood, Mental Illusion, Chaos Crusher/Screaming Darkness, Soul Shield, Pandemonium, Black Rain

A Demon Lord Digimon said to be Myotismon's final form. Unlike VenomMyotismonmon, which lost its intelligence in its pursuit of greater power, it succeeded in surpassing VenomMyotismon by harmonizing its intelligence alongside all of its other aspects. It possesses an inhumanly cruel personality, and is willing to do anything to achieve its own desires. The living artillery on both its left and right shoulders, "Sodom" and "Gomorrah" respectively, leech off of it.

MaloMyotismon is the final form of Digimon Adventure's Myotismon, and serves as the Greater-Scope Villain of Digimon Adventure 02.

    MarineAngemon

MarineAngemon (MarinAngemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marinangemon.png
Debut: Digimon Pendulum 2.0 — Deep Savers
Attacks: (Original) Ocean love, Nikkori Egaonote , Marine Squadron, Extra Smile, Funny Smile, Smile Attack, Pretty Heart; (Dub) Ocean Love/Kahuna Waves, Smiling Face

A rarely sighted Fairy Digimon that inhabits the Net Ocean. Although it possesses the name "Angemon", it is actually of a completely different family from the Angemon-species. The ring worn around MarineAngemon's neck is called a Holy Ring, and it is thought that there is some kind of connection between the ring and holy Digimon such as Tailmon or Angewomon have been observed wearing the ring. The letters engraved on the ring have yet to be deciphered at present.

MarineAngemon appears in Digimon Tamers as Kenta Kitagawa's partner, in the Digimon Next manga as the Mega form of Kitajima Ami's partner, Pichimon, and in Digimon Survive as the main Mega level of Miu Shinonome's partner, Syakomon.

    Mastemon

Mastemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mastemon2.jpg
Debut: Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth
Attacks: (Original) Holy Desire, Dark Despair, Chaos Degrade; (Dub) Holy Desire, Dark Despair, Chaos Degradation

An Angel Digimon that appears in a form through which incompatible Angel and Fallen Angel Digimon united and accomplished a DNA Digivolution when an unprecedented crisis loomed over the Digital World. It links with gates and overcomes predicaments by controlling the forces of Angel and Fallen Angel-tribes it summons from another Digital World. It is because of the nature possessed by Mastemon, who is called "The Tactician From Another World", that it unifies both species, which are usually hostile to each other. As it possesses a unified heart despite being a DNA Digivolution of two opposing Digimon itself, it lends its power to Digimon in various situations by freely manipulating the energies of light and darkness, and also takes on formidable opponents itself.

Mastemon is the DNA Digivolution of Angewomon and LadyDevimon, and the primary partner of Mirei Mikagura. It debuted in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, which Mirei also had a prominent role in.

  • Combat Stilettos: As with Angewomon and LadyDevimon, its boots have heels. Probably not an issue, what with the wings.
  • Dimensional Traveler: Its Chaos Degrade attack open portals to other dimensions as an attack. Its also capable of travelling to these alternate dimensions at will.
  • Fusion Dance: Born from a DNA Digivolution of incompatible Angel and Fallen Angel Digimon.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Has feathery angelic wings on one side and demonic bat wings on the other.
  • Meaningful Name: Derived from Mastema, an angel from Judaism.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Both this and Our Demons Are Different at once due to being the combined form of Angewomon and LadyDevimon.
  • Oxymoronic Being: A Digimon born from two rivals, one angelic and one demonic.
  • Power Gives You Wings: An angel Digimon's strength can be measured by how many wings they've got. Angewomon has eight. Seraphimon has ten. Mastemon? Has twelve. Mastemon has more raw power than one of the agents of the Digital World's God.
  • Sacred Bow and Arrows: Its Holy Desire attack is an arrow of holy light fired from it's right arm.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Chaos Degrade combines holy and dark energies to attack.

    MedievalGallantmon

MedievalGallantmon (MedievalDukemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/medievaldukemon.jpg
Attacks: Final Crest, Rage of Wyvern

In "Witchelny", the Digital World of another dimension, it is praised as the "Legendary Hero". In ancient Witchelny, when Sorcery (high class programming) was still immature and there were no means for it to defend itself from foreign invasions, Witchelny was on the road to ruin, but MedievalGallantmon suddenly appeared and completely repelled the invaders. It is said that MedievalGallantmon transcends time and still exists, though it is not certain. It battles using armor made by Sorcery, and holds the alias of "Whirlwind General" due to it governing the Digimon known as the "Vortex Warriors", who, among all the magical systems of Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind, battle using weapons made by Wind Sorcery. It possesses the mightiest magical lance, "Dynas", which conceals the power of the wyvern. Although its appearance is nothing like those that appear in the Digital World, in the Digital World it is a Digimon called the "Warrior of Fantasy", as gaudy ornamentation is applied to the armor over its whole body, and a coat of arms is affixed to its solemn form.

MedievalGallantmon is a carrier of the X-Antibody, and is able to naturally evolve into Gallantmon X.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: Its medal in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth lists it as MedicalGallantmon. Nothing about its bio or moveset indicate any medical knowledge.
  • Inconsistent Dub: Outside of the aforementioned two names, it's also been called Axcabaliermon in the D-Spirit 2.
  • Magic Knight: It's a magic-wielding variant of Gallantmon and leads the Vortex Warriors, a group of magical knight Digimon.
  • Out of Focus: It's completely underutilized despite being the hero of Witchelny, itself only mentioned in official bios. Likewise, the Vortex Warriors were only expanded upon with the addition of GrandGalemon and Zephagamon nearly fourteen years after MedievalGallantmon was introduced.
  • Red Baron: It is known as the Whirlwind General.
  • Shaping Your Attacks: Its Rage of Wyvern attack creates a dragon made of fire.
  • Transformation Trinket: The Forest Leaf, which allows for evolution into MedievalGallantmon in the Pendulum X. It also allows MedievalGallantmon to retain its form outside of Witchelny instead of reverting back to a regular Gallantmon.

    MegaDarknessBagramon

MegaDarknessBagramon (DarknessBagramon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darknessbagramon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion

The digixrosed form of AxeKnightmon and Bagramon. By uniting the dark knight and the fiendish demon lord it became the greatest emperor of evil. Its "Imperium Vicious", the evil power spilling out of its body, symbolises that strength, and if a weak evil is bathed in it then it immediately becomes a grovelling subordinate. Even if you try to resist, it is considered difficult to maintain your sense of self if you are glared at by AxeKnightmon, who exists within its chest. According to one theory, it appears to be planning to destroy all good, in order to fill the world with evil and obtain a world that it can manipulate at will. Even though there are probably some Digimon whose strength is not outdone even by MegaDarknessBagramon itself, it is said that in order to designate its plan as something guaranteed, it expands its power by bringing useful Digimon under its control, and watches out for opportunities for the opposition.

MegaDarknessBagramon is the final form of Bagramon in Digimon Fusion.

    MegaGargomon

MegaGargomon (SaintGalgomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/saintgalgomon.jpg
Debut: D-Ark Version 1..0
Attacks: (Original) Giant Missile/Giant Bazooka, Burst Shot, Saint Foot, Saint Upper, Saint Tackle, Saint Punch, Saint Jet, Mega Twister; (Dub) Gargo Missile/Gargo Missiles/Giant Missile/Magna Blaster, Mega Barrage/Burst Shot/Synchro-Blast, Saint Foot, Saint Upper, Saint Tackle, Power Pummel, Saint Jet, Mega Twister

A super-gigantic machine Digimon whose whole body has become a mass of weapons. The amount of weapons it has equipped rivals that of MetalGarurumon (incidentally, while MetalGarurumon uses cold-based weapons, MegaGargomon uses heat-based weapons). Each of its weapons, such as its lasers, missiles, bazookas, Vulcans and flamethrowers, are concealed. Although its speed is considerably slow, because it puts all of that energy into power, it possesses unbelievable destructive force. Because its lack of speed is compensated for by its weapons, it is able to cope with attacks from every direction without moving even a little.

MegaGargomon is the Mega form of Henry Wong (Lee Jianliang)'s partner Terriermon in Digimon Tamers.

  • Animal Mecha: A giant robot based on a St. Bernard while still retaining elements of the Galgo Español.
  • Humongous Mecha: Upon evolving, it turns into living machine of staggering proportions.
  • Mighty Glacier: Its slow, but given both its sheer size and the sheer amount of dakka it has, that's not really an issue.
  • Shout-Out: Its overall design, with its myriad onboard ordinance and giant shoulder-launched missiles, is based on the OVA incarnation of Giant Robo
  • Walking Arsenal: Similar to MetalGarurumon before it, MegaGargomon has an insane amount of firepower.

    MetalEtemon

MetalEtemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metaletemon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Pendulum 1.0 — Nature Spirits
Attacks: (Original) Banana Slip, Heavy Monkick, Mega Punch, Hekoki Attacknote , No. 1 Punch, Full Metal Hip Attack, Dark Spirits Deluxe; (Dub) Banana Slip, Metal Punch

A Cyborg Type that calls itself "The King of Digimon." It underwent extensive training by seeking out a Worthy Opponent, gathering combat data from numerous victories... as well as numerous defeats. After studying its weaknesses, it was reborn in its current form: a "full-metal" Cyborg whose body is covered in Chrome Digizoid. While its combat abilities are high, it won't hesitate to use childish or dirty tricks.

MetalEtemon appears in Digimon Adventure as the Mega form of Etemon, who has come Back from the Dead after his defeat at the hands of MetalGreymon.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Just as Etemon wears a Monzaemon plush on its hip, MetalEtemon wears a WaruMonzaemon.
  • Banana Peel: The primary use of its "Banana Slip" attack.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: It's still as silly as ever, and still as much of a threat.
  • Casting a Shadow: Its "Dark Spirits Deluxe" attack.
  • Chest Insignia: The characters on its chest, which translate to "Strongest".
  • Chrome Champion: Etemon's body is now made of solid Chromoe Digizoid.
  • Cool Shades: It still retains its signature shades.
  • Cyborg: It injured itself through constant battling and completely metallized itself to make up for its weaknesses.
  • Fartillery: Its "Hekoki Attack"note  has it...well, fart. It's not very useful unless the opponent happens to hit its rear, as Pinochimon found out the hard way.
  • Maniac Monkeys: Like Etemon, it's a virus-type monkey and still as ferocious as ever.
  • Megaton Punch: Its "Mega Punch" and "No. 1 Punch" have it use its fists for damage. "Mega Punch" is the actual Megaton Punch, while No. 1 Punch is just a regular punch.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: It is still just as human-sized as Etemon.
  • Silly Simian: It's a monkey and some of its battle techniques are comedic in nature, such as making the opponent slip on banana peels or farting in its direction.
  • We Can Rebuild Him: How its profile describes how it acquired its current form.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: The aim of some of its techniques. Its profile mentions it uses shoot wrestling techniques as well.

    MetalGarurumon

MetalGarurumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metalgarurumon.png
Debut: Digimon Pendulum 5.0 — Metal Empire
Attacks: Cocytus Breath, Grace Cross Freezer, Garuru Tomahawk, Freeze Bomber, Metal Fang, Blizzard Attack, Giga Missile, Giga Destruction, Metal Howling; (Dub) Metal Wolf Claw/Ice Wolf Claw/Metal Blaster/Freeze Breath/Freezing Breath, Ice Wolf Claw/Ice Wolf Bite/Grace Cross Freezer/Giga Cross Freezer, Giga Missile/Garuru Tomahawk/Metal Slamming Attack/Metal Wolf Throw, Metal Fang, Blizzard Bash, Giga Missile, Metal Howling, "Ice Wolf Snout"

The final form of Garurumon, which powered up by incorporating machinery into its body. Not only has it retained its natural cunning, it is equipped with countless weapons concealed throughout its body. The four laser sights on its nose, making it capable of analyzing its opponent through the use of things like infrared and x-rays while also making it difficult for its opponent to evade it. MetalGarurumon can can project beam-like wings from the structures on its back, allowing it to move through the network at "ultra high speed."

Like WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon set the standard for numerous Digimon that followed after it, most notably the final forms of The Lancer's Digimon partner in subsequent media. It's the Mega form of Yamato (Matt) Ishida's Gabumon in both the original anime and the 2020 reboot, and is also partnered to Hideto Fujimoto, Nokia Shiramine, and Akiharu Minase. It can fuse with WarGreymon into Omegamon.

  • An Ice Person: In the form of its "Cocytus Breath" attack, and various attacks that strike the opponent with freezing weaponry.
  • Bishounen Line: Inverted. It goes back to being four-legged after spending time as the humanoid WereGarurumon.
  • Breath Weapon: "Cocytus Breath" is always fired from the mouth.
  • Canis Major: A wolf bigger than most cars.
  • Chest Blaster: Its "Garuru Tomahawk" is fired from its chest.
  • Cyborg: It underwent some immense mechanization during the evolution process. However, its mouth and paws are still organic.
  • Dub Induced Plothole: It's called MetalGururumon in the dub of Digimon Fusion. Gururumon is Garurumon's Palette Swap, and not related to MetalGarurumon in the slightest.
  • Inconsistent Dub: Where do we begin? He's the dub's biggest offender in this regard, and what's listed above are an attempt at making sense of it. Like with WarGreymon, some attacks are called by the same name, and just gaining sense of what is used where can be extremely confusing. It even "made up" a name for an attack that was never given one in the original, muddling the whole thing even furthernote . They even managed to make it worse without MetalGarurumon himself showing up. In Digimon Tamers, when Takato uses "Digi Modify" on a MetalGarurumon card, Guilmon calls his attack "MetalGarurumon Blaster".
  • Laser Sight: Four of them, built into its nose.
  • Lightning Bruiser: It regained the speed it had as Garurumon while retaining the pure strength it gained as WereGarurumon.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: "Grace Cross Freezer", "Freeze Bomber", and "Giga Destruction" are this. For comparison, "Garuru Tomahawk" instead involves firing a single missile.
  • Mighty Roar: "Supersonic Voice", which can disrupt an enemy's data.: "Metal Howling."
  • Non-Indicative Name: Its "Cocytus Breath" and "Grace Cross Freezer" are renamed to "Metal Wolf Claw" and "Ice Wolf Claw" respectively in the Adventure dub, despite neither of them being claw-based attacks. The former is a Breath Weapon while the other is a Macross Missile Massacre. That's not even taking the Inconsistent Dub into account.
  • The Nose Knows: Most likely the one example in fiction where this is due to the laser sights built into it.
  • Power Gives You Wings: The beam-like wings that project from its back.
  • Walking Armory: MetalGarurumon has plenty of tools at its disposal, including a chest-mounted missile, several ports where smaller missiles are launched from, a Breath Weapon, etc.

MetalGarurumon X (MetalGarurumon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metalgarurumonx.jpg
Debut: Pendulum Progress 3.0
Attacks: Cocytus Breath, Grace Cross Freezer, Metal Storm, Garuru Burst

It has been found that it has gained additional armaments as well as upgraded sensors. In order to arm its entire body to adapt to both long- and short-distance combat, it has taken on a bipedal form, and is equipped with the gatling gun "Metal Storm", which has the ability to snipe over long distances, bombard a large area at mid-range, and rapid-fire extremely quickly even at short distances, boasting of overwhelming firepower. Its combined bombardment capability is more than 1.2 times that of MagnaGarurumon's; it's basically a mass of firearms in the shape of a beast.

This form of MetalGarurumon is a major character in Digimon X-Evolution alongside the X-Antibody version of WarGreymon.

MetalGarurumon [Story Climax Anniv.]

Debut: Digimon ReArise
Attacks: Grace Cross Freezer, Garuru Tomahawk; (Dub) Ice Wolf Claw, Garuru Tomahawk

A recolored version of MetalGarurumon released in February of 2022 during a climactic story event.

  • Bling of War: It has several more golden and silver parts of its armor than the standard MetalGarurumon.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: The only attacks it shares with the standard MetalGarurumon are Grace Cross Freezer and Garuru Tomahawk, its missile attacks.
  • Palette Swap: Its armor is a darker shade of blue than the standard MetalGarurumon with lots of gold and green highlights. Its eyes and claws are also bright green.

    MetalPiranimon

MetalPiranimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metalpiranimon.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game - Ultimate Battle Deck 5: Ultimate Battle Set - X-Evolution Box
Attacks: 3D Razor, Max-Power Vise

Within certain parts of the Net Rivers, a swarm of dangerous Virus-species Ultimate Digimon were discovered. Though it is said that the number of Digimon who have become Ultimates is extremely small, there are schools of MetalPiranimon which will get their teeth into any Digimon who passes into their territory, killing it immediately. There are razor-sharp teeth in its "Metal Head", and because its tenacious jaw functions like a vise, it bites and completely rends every armor. However, because the Metal Head feature is extremely heavy, it keeps its balance with the weight attached to its tail fin. If the red button on its calvaria is pressed, then it will simply come off, and be replaced with a new Metal Head.

  • Oddly Common Rarity: Once again, Mega level Digimon are supposed to be rare, and yet there are whole schools of MetalPiranimon.
  • Piranha Problem: It's giant, it's metal, and it comes in schools.
  • Underground Monkey: Sort of. The name suggests there's a non-metal version of Piranimon, but it took seventeen years for it to show up.

    Metallicdramon

Metallicdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metallicdramon.jpg
Attacks: Laser Cannon, Laser Saber

A Digimon that flies at the highest altitudes of the Digital World at the speed of light, even other flying Digimon cannot catch sight of it. According to one theory, it is said that if Metallicdramon flaps its wings from high in the sky, mysterious particles will be scattered that preserve the harmony of the Digital World. It seems that when Metallicdramon reduces its altitude so that it is visible, it is a sign that something is about to happen.

Metallicdramon is the Mega form of Jazamon.

    Metamormon

Metamormon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metamormon.jpg
Attacks: Transceirave, Laser Translation

A Digimon with the terrifying ability to copy the abilities of the opponents that it battles and transform into said monsters. After transformation, the opponent's abilities and original strength are added to its own, so it will always be stronger than they are!

Metamormon appeared as the antagonist of "Frontier Generation", a crossover chapter between Digimon V-Tamer 01 and Digimon Frontier, where it was fought and defeated by Taichi Yagami, Zeromaru and Takuya Kanbara.

    Millenniummon

Millenniummon (Millenniumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/milleniumon.png
Attacks: Time Unlimited, Dimension Destroyer, Heat Viper, Mugen Cannonnote ; (Dub) Ultimate Fusion/Time Unlimited, Dimension Destroyer

A Mega Composite Digimon that has fused the overwhelming power possessed by Machinedramon and the data of various powerful Digimon possessed by Kimeramon. It is said to be impossible to defeat, and at present the unclear cause of its fusion is being ascertained, but it is unlikely any clues will be found.

Millenniummon and its other forms served as the Big Bad of the WonderSwan games, as well as the Greater-Scope Villain of Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, and eventually asserts itself as the "true" partner of Ryo Akiyama before Monodramon forcefully merged himself with Millenniummon to stop him. More recently, it was a major antagonist in Digimon Adventure: (2020), with the goal of its arc being to prevent its revival. It has also had a part in Digimon Xros Wars, where it was created the normal way through Shademon.

  • Backpack Cannon: Machinedramon's cannons are the only part of its body that were not turned into an energy being.
  • Become a Real Boy: Machinedramon's profile explicitly state it's an Empty Shell only following pre-programmed commands by whoever made it, while Kimeramon's just a mindless berserker. The fusion of the two has gained a sense of free will... it's just that now it's destroying everything because it can.
  • Came Back Wrong: The Machinedramon portion of this monster has become entirely ghostly, while the Kimeramon portion features a gaunter, darker body than the original that looks like its Devimon portion has come to dominate its body.
  • Dimension Lord: Can create entire universes and destroy them at will.
  • Draconic Abomination: Millenniummon is a draconic Digital Abomination formed from the fusion of Machinedramon and Kimeramon — itself a gestalt of powerful dark Digimon.
  • Energy Being: Most of Machinedramon has turned into a vague aura, for whatever reason.
  • Fusion Dance: A DNA Digivolution between a Kimeramon and a Machinedramon made this thing.
  • The Juggernaut: There is almost nothing that can stop it.
  • Lean and Mean: The Kimeramon portions of its body seem to have lost some of their muscle mass, making it look more gaunt.
  • Millennium Bug: It is, for all effects and purposes, the bug itself.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Played with. While Milleniumon is a Fusion Dance of the organic Kimeramon and the mechanical Machinedramon, who were Mix-and-Match Critters in their own right, the remaining aspects of Chimaeramon and Machinedramon are much less mixed-and-matched.
  • Paint It Black: Much of the parts of it supplied by Kimeramon have turned black.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Has gained spikes jutting out from its elbows that weren't there either on Kimeramon or any of its components.

Moon=Millenniummon (MoonMillenniumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moonmilleniumon.png
Attacks: Death Crystal, Dimension Destroyer

Existing within Millenniunnmon's inner world, it is a soul Digimon. As a result of Millenniummon's dark spirit becoming a Digimon it does not possess a fixed form. Although it often takes the shape of a crystal, it seems that, due to its hatred and anger against the enemies that oppose it, that shape can be changed. As a soul it does not have sustenance, and so it is immune to physical attacks. To defeat Moon=Millenniummon, one must first defeat Millenniummon, its true form, but it's unlikely as there are virtually no Digimon who are up to that task. Even if by some chance Millenniummon is defeated, it is said that it will separate from its now-dead true form and be revived throughout time and space.

In Digimon Adventure: (2020), Moon=Millenniummon are crystalline parts of Millenniummon that hold his dark powers within. Using these parts on Digimon can make them evolve, but at the cost of their being.

  • Fighting a Shadow: Millenniummon is its true form, but fortunately managing to defeat it (however impossible that may be) will take Moon=Millenniummon down as well.
  • God of Evil: It's explicitly labelled as a Wicked God.
  • Intangible Man: Due to being an evil spirit without a solid form.
  • My Death Is Only The Beginning: Killing Millenniummon just allows it to evolve to this form, and become even more powerful.
  • No-Sell: As a result of being a soul without a physical body it is immune to all physical attacks.
  • The Power of Hate: It draws on its hatred to shapeshift.
  • Shapeshifter Default Form: Moon has no fixed form; the glowing crystal with the shadowy representation of Millenniummon within is just what it usually goes for.
  • Soul Power: Moon=Millenniummon doesn't possess corporeal destructive force, it attacks the enemy's spirit instead.

ZeedMillenniummon (ZeedMillenniumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zeedmilleniumon.png
Attacks: Time Destroyer, Chrono Paradox

Flying freely between time and space, it is a king of evil that is still trying to destroy all eras and all worlds. Although a Digimon will become a Digi-Egg if it is defeated in battle, there are very rare occasions when it has instead been reborn from within the corpse of its data. According to one theory, when Millenniummon died in a furious battle, the dark soul it possessed was reborn as ZeedMillenniummon. As for the bands which wrap around ZeedMillenniummon, it is said that they are like chains that suppress its abilities, but it is unknown who could cast such a spell on Millenniummon. However, it is foretold that if it is released from this spell, it will rain destruction upon the Digital World.

In Digimon Adventure: (2020), it was the ultimate weapon of the forces of darkness in an ancient war and was slain by the past selves of the Chosen Children's Digimon, after which each of its surviving pieces became a MoonMillenniummon. Once revived, Millenniummon achieves this form one last time before being defeated for good.

  • Atomic Superpower: Its Chrono Paradox attack fires atomic beams from its mouths.
  • Came Back Wrong:
    • It failed to reconfigure back into an egg upon its death and proceeded to become one of the most unholy forces the Digital World has to offer.
    • Worse, this form of Milleniumon is so mixed-up it's got the wrong parts attached. The orange helix has what used to be Chimaeramon's head and Machinedramon's arm, while the purple helix has Machinedramon's former head and Kimeramon's arm.
  • Draconic Abomination: Millenniummon was bad enough, but now it's become an undead corpse, floating around in space and time looking to conquer everything.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: It wants to destroy all worlds, and all of time.
  • Power Limiter: The bands of coding around its body restrain its power, but given how powerful ZeedMillenniummon already is, that doesn't exactly slow it down.

    MirageGaogamon

MirageGaogamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miragegaogamon.jpg
Debut: Digivice iC 10X
Attacks: Double Crescent Mirage, Full Moon Blaster, Gale Claw, Howling Cannon, Quick Move, Sonic Move

A Beast Knight Digimon whose whole body is clad in Chrome Digizoid armor. As a result of it moving at incomparable speeds, it deceives the opponent by appearing to only be a mirage.

MirageGaogamon is the Mega form of Gaomon, and is partnered to Touma (Thomas) H. Norstein. Other partners include Sayo and Nikorai Yakovich Petorofu.

  • Belly Mouth: The reason why it has the upper torso in the shape of a wolf head? That's the actual mouth, if seeing it's eating animations in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Digimon World -next 0rder- are anything to go by.
  • Chest Blaster: Fires its Full Moon Blaster attack from its chest.
  • Ludicrous Speed: It's Super-Speed is described as being so fast that it can appear as though one simply laying eyes on it could easily turn out to be a literal mirage, an afterimage of where it was once at, and it even has the Digital Hazard to reflect this Reality Warper level of Super-Speed it possesses.
  • Mighty Roar: Its howl can become an ultrasonic wave attack called Howling Cannon.
  • Recurring Element: MirageGaogamon is the Mega level for The Lancer's canid Digimon. However, unlike MetalGarurumon, it's a Beast Knight type that isn't cybernetic in the slightest. In fact, it ironically has a lot more in common with WarGreymon, due to being clad in armor and wielding Wolverine Claws similar to the Dramon Killers.
  • Solar and Lunar: MirageGaogamon has associations with the moon (being a wolf, attacks called Double Crescent Mirage and Full Moon Blaster) that contrast it with the sun-themed ShineGreymon.
  • Super-Speed: Notable for "moving at incomparable speeds". Many of its attacks cash in on its incredible speed.

Attacks: Omega Rainbow Force

A special MirageGaogamon that emerged from a keychain game. It is small but has power equal to other Mega-level Digimon. Although it is without a doubt a subspecies of MirageGaogamon, its full potential is unknown.

Mitamamon

Debut: Digimon ReArise
Attacks: Gouenrinnote , Kaijinraidounote , Kyouka Suigetsunote

A holy Digimon that is said to send the souls of Digimon who have done good deeds in their previous lives to heaven. A collection of the four energies of fire, earth, wind and water, it lacks actual substance except for its Digicore. Despite being visible, it cannot be touched; only those who have been recognized by Mitamamon itself or Digimon who are on the brink of death are allowed to touch it. However, those who have found out where Mitamamon's Digicore is are also able to touch it, so there are occasions when it is challenged to battle by extremely rare but rough-tempered Digimon. Because Mitamamon has a calm personality and despises conflict, it very often ignores battles it has been challenged to. However, when facing those who have already incurred its wrath, Mitamamon changes into a raging beast that deals a crushing blow to them without mercy.

Mitamamon is an alternate Mega level for Kudamon, and is a partner Digimon in ReArise, being partnered to Mayu Kohinata.

  • Always Accurate Attack: Its Kaijinraidou attack is a lightning bolt that supposedly never misses.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: It doesn't like fighting, but will show no mercy if it has to.
  • Elemental Powers: Supposedly has access to fire, water, earth, and wind. Its abilities use all of those but earth, with it instead having an attack that uses lightning.
  • Intangible Man: It can only be touched by those it allows to do so or by the dying. Unfortunately for Mitamamon, that also means they can strike at its Digicore if they know where it is.
  • Psychopomp: It is said to lead good Digimon to heaven, or at least the digital equivalent thereof.

    Murmukusmon

Attacks: Gehenna Flame, Necro Interrogation

Although it was originally a high-ranking Angel Digimon, it fell from grace and became a Demon Lord Digimon. It is in the ruling class of the Nightmare Soldiers, with the title of "Count", and it manages thirty legions of demons. It is attended by the Mythical Animal Digimon Gryphonmon, which it uses as its own hands and feet.

Murmukusmon served as the main antagonist of the Frontier movie, where it aimed to awaken Ornismon and use it to conquer the Digital World as revenge for his banishment. It was also one of the Commandments in Digimon Next, originating as a HolyAngemon that turned against humanity in retaliation for the death of the Chibimon he was looking after.
