This page is just a Dumping ground/Notebook for the numerous OC's I use in the arena.
Revenant Squadron
Tropes Common to the team
- Ace Pilot
- Blood Knight: Verily so.
- The Dreaded: In their home world for being nearly unmatched in combat.
- Expies: Of the Reaper Squad in Armored Core Verdict Day. Including having their own Personal Emblems!
- Fire-Forged Friends
- Private Military Contractors: A front for whenever they travel the multiverse for potential challenges and technology to loot.
- Psycho for Hire
- Mini-Mecha: Literally. For fighting in the arena, they've been shrunk down to the size of humans; Otherwise, they'd be Gundam-sized.
- Numerical Theme Naming
- Omnicidal Maniac: Subverted, they might have plunged their version of Earth into a nigh-endless global war right after fighting off a 20-year long alien invasion; but they didn't have much choice in the matter and hopes that humankind will pull through, no matter how tall the pile of corpses may get.
- Red and Black and Evil All Over
- Sociopathic Soldier: All but one member of the team was part of the regular military. That member? A mercenary.
- War for Fun and Profit
- Was Once a Man
- With Friends Like These...: Off duty. But when it's time to go to work, they'll put aside their petty grievances and fight together as a well-oiled killing machine
- Wetware CPU: The OS' of these guys is a human brain.
GRIMREAPER1/V "V"
- Acro Fatic: His appearance is rather bulky, but he's also blindingly fast and agile.
- Authority Equals Asskicking / Asskicking Equals Authority: The most experienced, skilled and oldest of the Revenant Squadron and also its leader.
- Black Knight: His characterization fits the most.
- Beam Spam: Downplayed. His Pulse Laser blasters are very fast firing, but are quite weak and has rather pathetic range.
- Canada Eh: A Canadian by Nationality, but displays none of the stereotypical traits.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Melee combat. Good luck putting him down or let alone hitting him.
- Death Seeker: He wishes to die, but only to someone strong, skilled and heroic enough to defeat him in battle.
- Dual Wielding
- Fallen Hero: Was once a world-renowned Ace Pilot who fought with great skill and bravery against the alien invaders assailing the Earth. Now but a puppet of an Omnicidal Maniac, though his honor and martial pride hasn't left him yet.
- Flash Step: A favored tactic of his, as provided by the multitude of boosters on his body.
- Implausible Fencing Powers
- Master Swordsman
- Fairy Tale Motifs: A Dragon. His personal emblem is also one: A Rampant Dragon holding a pair of Bloody Swords emblazoned on his left shoulder.
- Necessary Evil: He sees himself as this, as by being the dragon of the fairy tale of his world; he hopes that a Knight valiant and courageous enough to be able to strike him down in combat will one day come and would soon afterwards be the catalyst to end the Forever War he had helped create.
- Noble Demon: Upholds his virtue and honor in the field of battle and tries his best to fight as fairly and directly as possible. But this does not mean he is foolish, as he will kindly repay deceit and cowardice with brutal, uncompromising force.
- Spirited Competitor: Always seeks to fight strong enemies and pays his respects towards worthy foes.
- Shout-Out: He can superheat his blades and he looks rather similar to a certain mecha...
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Hopes to invoke this feeling onto any whom he views has the potential to defeat him.
- The Stoic: A given considering his current situation.
- Then Let Me Be Evil: Played With, the moment he was brought online as a Wetware CPU for his machine body and was told that he is nothing more than a thinking puppet by the one who had done that to him; he accepted his fate without complaint as he knew it would be impossible to fight back since there would be no loopholes or anything to abuse unlike in children's cartoon shows or the movies.
- Unwilling Roboticisation: He never asked for it, as he was content to rest in peace after scoring a Mutual Kill against a very powerful alien warrior. Unfortunately a certain businessman had other plans...
- Zen Survivor: Related to the above, just because he has consigned himself to be a force of evil; he doesn't let despair or resentment make him actually enjoy the wanton slaughter and wholesale destruction he is forced to commit. And instead resolved to temper his attitude and outlook on life, becoming the noble but tragic, bloodstained knight that he is now.
GRIMREAPER2/F "F"
- Number Two: Second in command of the Revenant squadron and the second member after V. Also the only member who Norman completely trusts.
- Bad Boss: Somewhat. Though he talks down the sentient machines under his command and even though most of his subordinates are mindless machines, he would never give them an order that he wouldn't be able to accomplish himself.
- Red Baron: He is known as the Black Bastion in his home world.
- BFG: His favored weapons.
- Blue Blood: While coming from knightly stock, he actually grew up in the middle class due to his family having long since been Impoverished
- Boisterous Bruiser: More subdued than most, but his roaring, arrogant laughter and fairly cavalier attitude towards combat qualifies him for this.
- Child Hater: Detests children as he finds them to be utterly intolerable to his refined senses and that they have no place in the field of battle.
- Colonel Kilgore: The most openly appreciative of war out of the entire team.
- Cultured Warrior: Was born into English Nobility and tries his hardest to become as refined and gentlemanly as his forefathers. Though his arrogance and bloodthirsty zeal for combat puts a dampener on his attempts.
- Deflector Shields: His primary mode of defense, not to say that the armor behind that is any less tough.
- Determinator: He will never surrender against any opponent, no matter how strong.
- Frontline General: While quite skilled in tactical and strategic command, he'd much rather be in the thick of battle and directly commanding his "Squires".
- Gatling Good and Beam Spam: His signature Triple Gatling Laser.
- Genius Bruiser: Quite well-spoken and eloquent, a given since he was a trained soldier along with everything that entailed with the position when he was a human.
- Great White Hunter: Greatly Downplayed. He generally prefers to fight against great and terrible beasts over sapient and humanoid foes both for glory and the chance to mount their heads on his trophy room as well as to reduce his mobility disadvantage.
- Hot-Blooded: Battle and warfare is his passion.
- Humans Are Special: A true believer of this ideal. Despite being only able to exist in a world of war and chaos, F genuinely loves mankind with all of his heart and would support them through and through no matter the collective flaws of mankind and which end humanity leads itself to.
- I Coulda Been a Contender!: He was supposed to be a mecha pilot, not just any but a potential legend due to his incredible talent and potential for piloting mecha... But a horrific car accident happened to him and he was completely paralyzed from the waist down, effectively destroying his chances and his dreams to achieve glory and honor in the field of battle. That is until a certain buisnessman approached him with a second chance.
- Lightning Can Do Anything: The array of Tesla Coils on his back, aside from electrocuting foes with bolts of lightning; have the ability to sap power from energy sources through close contact and create an electromagnetic barrier around him. They also act as Lightning Rods
- Mean Brit: More arrogant than the typical one though
- Mythical Motifs: His emblem is that of a Rampant Chimera holding a Halberd, emblazoned upon his left shoulder. And like the Chimera, he is a blend of several very different things: Being a gentleman, a bloodthirsty warmonger and a proud soldier all in one.
- Mighty Glacier: Quite slow, being a tank and all; but very few can stand up to his firepower and stalwart defenses for too long.
- Might Makes Right
- Pride: Extremely proud of his hard-earned skills and great achievements, but he is also very eager to back up all of his boasting.
- Shock and Awe
- Social Darwinist: Wholeheartedly believes that the strongest and the smartest are those most deserving of survival. But is also a believer that anyone can become strong, they just need sufficient courage and motivation to rise above their stations and become great.
- Tank Goodness: Has a tank chassis for legs, and is suitably heavily armed and armored.
- Trans Human: He fully embraces the power offered by his machine body and is one of two members of the Revenant Squadron to be completely unchanged by his transformation from man to machine. The other one is G. Though the reason for why he lives with this power without any problems is rather mundane: He was given the offer, took it and he got exactly what he wanted: A perfect war machine for a body.
- War Is Glorious: He genuinely believes that War is the most honorable and greatest pastime Humanity has ever created and that if there was no war, Humanity simply wouldn't be the way it is.
GRIMREAPER3/H "H"
- Attention Whore: Somewhat, while she feels entitled to fame/infamy along with everything that entails with them; she isn't really that eager to be in the center of attention all the time.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Always speaks in a polite and proper tone, even while ruthlessly crushing an enemy or mocking them.
- Blue Blood: Like F, she is a descendant of a noble family; though unlike him, she grew up in the lap of luxury.
- Combat Pragmatist: Weaker than her compatriots when it comes to direct combat, she compensates though tactics and trickery.
- Cool Bike: Comes with a Huckebein gunner expy she calls the Aeroslasher.◊
- Cold Sniper
- Dirty Coward: Downplayed, It's more of an overdeveloped sense of self-preservation.
- Expy: Has the body of the Huckebein Mk.3 minus the beam sabers, Gatlings and Fuuma Shuriken.
- Foil: To F. While F is courageous, passionate and proud; whose arrogance stems from his achievements and talents; which he eared by the sweat of his brow. H is high-and-mighty, snobbish and aloof, looking down on others simply because of their birth and believes that she has the right to be great due to her station and upbringing.
- Glass Cannon: Trades a good amount of Endurance and durability for superior long-range abilities and damage.
- Glory Hound: When she was human, she valued fame and glory above her duty to serve and protect mankind. As a machine, it got worse since terror and infamy is the only thing she's got that will make people remember her.
- High-Altitude Battle: Her other specialty besides sniping and ambushes.
- Hit-and-Run Tactics
- Japanese Politeness
- Macross Missile Massacre: Her most destructive and obvious form of offense.
- Mook Lieutenant
- Mythical Motifs: Her emblem is that of a Rampant Griffin holding a bow and a handful of arrows on its forelegs. It suits her imperious attitude and affinity for flight, but she is lacking the courage and boldness associated with them.
- Necessary Drawback: Her combination of firepower, long-range skirmishing ability and decent mobility is offset by having virtually zero Melee weapons and by being almost completely helpless in close-range.
- Smug Snake: Looks down upon "Commoners" and sees herself as superior to most others due to her breeding, skill and talent, but is just as quick to run from said commoners should they prove a greater threat than expected.
- Sniper Rifle: The laser variety, having virtually zero recoil only makes it deadlier.
- The Neidermeyer: Subverted, the way she treats her subordinate fits this to a tee; but her they happen to be semi-sentient Mecha-Mooks with no personality.
- The Proud Elite: Sees herself as this. Though in Contrast to F, she may talk big; but she's not quite as eager as he when it comes to backing up her words.
- Unwilling Roboticisation: At first, but she eventually grew to enjoy the power and loss of limitations offered by a machine body as the years passed and until she started to forget how it was to be human.
GRIMREAPER4/R "R"
GRIMREAPER5/G "G"
- Animal Motifs: A Raven. Though rather of a harbinger of death, he is death.
- Attack! Attack! Attack!: Bets everything on extreme aggression and even greater speed to overwhelm opponents.
- Ax-Crazy
- The Berserker
- Blood Knight: Utterly consumed by fighting, killing and destruction, out of all the Revenant team; he is the only one who truly enjoys killing and destroying for the sake of it and not for any other higher purpose or even pride.
- Child Soldier: Formerly. He was only 14 when he was conscripted into the military. And that was a year after he had been sent to a maximum security prison!
- Even Evil Has Standards: Not him. But every single one of his comrades in the Revenant team, even as jaded as they are find his psychotic brutality and insatiable bloodlust to be highly disturbing and an unwelcome liability in tasks that do not involve the utter destruction of all enemies. Norman finds his outbursts quite amusing though.
- Fragile Speedster: Far more aggressive and malicious than the usual.
- Freudian Excuse: Was horribly abused as a child due to being unwanted and for having psychic powers, specifically empathy and mind-reading which he had no control over and was thus almost always exposed to what people truly thought of each other. It's little wonder why he ended up becoming so murderous, insane and hateful.
- Humans Are Bastards: What he believes and his excuse for why he is such a monster.
- Husky Russkie: Speaks in a low, gravelly and heavily Accented tone.
- Insanity Immunity: Was completely unaffected by his transformation into a machine, being far too warped and uncaring to actually find the loss of all biological senses and needs to be a bad thing. As a matter of fact, he embraces the advantages of having such a body.
- Madden Into Misanthropy
- More Dakka: Favors shotguns, machineguns and assault rifles in his high-speed, extreme aggression fighting style.
- Mother Russia Makes You Strong: Especially if the countryside is a frozen, blasted radioactive wasteland littered with gigantic, violent supermutant abominations!
- Power Of Hate: What fuels his drive to destroy everything he sees aside from the fact that he enjoys spreading misery and despair to others.
- Psychic Powers: Was born with psychic powers, and even with a machine body; his powers haven't diminished. Rather, due to Norman's technological wizardry along with the advanced biotech available in his home world; his psychic potential has reached its peak when he became a machine.
- Sadist: Fighting and killing becomes all the more sweeter to him when his victims suffer.
- Shut Up, Kirk!: Attempting to reason with him is completely useless and any who dares try can look forward to getting brutally dismembered for daring to waste his time by forcing him to listen to such nonsense.
- Trading Bars for Stripes: He was jailed for a multitude of violent crimes prior to being conscripted into the military. Unlike others though, joining the military was a dream come true for him: Get paid to fight, kill and destroy!
- The Quiet One: Surprisingly enough, he doesn't talk much. Heavily subverted when he really gets going in a fight: Screaming, roaring and cackling like a maniac.
- Unstoppable Rage: His usual train of thought.
