Hazbin Hotel

Staff

    Charlie Morningstar

Charlie Morningstar

The daughter of Lucifer and Lilith Morningstar and the princess of Hell. She owns the Hazbin Hotel and is one of the main characters of Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly.

  • Action Girl: Oh, very much so.
  • Adaptational Badass: Not that Charlie Morningstar was a slouch in the show by any means, but in Lucifer's Folly she is much more proactive in helping and defending the Hotel, as well as being less naive and more Genre Savvy and is much more combat-heavy. Her hellfire breath alone is strong enough to melt steel and rocks and can defeat her enemies typically in one shot.
  • All-Loving Hero:
  • Breath Weapon: Charlie's signature Hellfire Breath that can she douse her opponents on fire with.
  • Flight: Charlie is capable of flying via spreading out her wings in order to do so.
  • Hero Protagonist: Goes without saying.
  • Out of Focus: Ironically didn't show up much in Season 1, only appearing a few times (which were mostly cameos). She starts appearing more in Season 2, and by Season 3 she finally returns to her spot as a main character.
  • Nice Girl: In fact, she's probably the nicest gal there is in Hell.
  • Princess Protagonist: She is the Princess of Hell and the main character, naturally.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Is specifically stated to be 200 years old, but acts more like she's in her early 20's.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: More often than not if something is going horribly awry at the Hotel, Charlie will burst into action to deal with whatever is going on and put a stop to it.
  • The Redeemer: Her goal is to use the Hotel to redeem sinners, like canon.
  • Thou Shall Not Kill: Charlie is strongly against killing other demons and even angels in this. She's also strongly against the concept of using angelic weapons, feeling that their are amoral.

    Vaggie

Vaggie

Charlie's feisty girlfriend who also serves as the Hotel's manager and protector. Also used to be an Exorcist back in the day but was stripped of her angelic status when she showed mercy to a demon child.

  • Animal Motifs: Unlike in canon she does still have some moth theming to her, even being capable of some flight and possesses some attraction to bright lights.
  • A Father to His Men: More like "A Mother To Her Patients" but overall fills the role nicely. Vaggie will always be there to help out her patients like a mother would to her children. She especially acts like a very stern mother towards Baxter (added the fact he acts like some edgy teen as well helps her case) and forbids him to perform some deadly experiments in the hotel.
  • Butt-Monkey: If bad luck isn't happening to Angel Dust or Cazador, it's most likely happening to her instead.
  • The Captain: Is the manager of the Hazbin Hotel and between her and Charlie, she seems to act the most in charge.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Is very snarky and cracks jokes at the expense of those who actually have it coming. She knows when to stop however and take things seriously still though.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Used to be a much more colder and formidable Exorcist, but upon showing mercy and becoming a fallen angel and meeting up with Charlie, she became much nicer compared to how she used to be. She's only proceeded to become nicer overtime, being much less snide compared to how she was in the earlier seasons.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: While she's always been a regular (appearing throughout all of the seasons with only a minor role in Season 1) in most of her earlier portrayals depicted her as a being a full on Sinner, also having varying and wildly inconsistent backstories. This is chiefly due to her being portrayed by multiple people back then. For a long time she was also regulated to just being a "sad drunk girlfriend" archetype before then finally Potato took over playing as her and then re-railed her character into being more faithful to her canon personality.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Doesn't tolerate other people's stupidity, especially from Angel Dust.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Still is very fluent in Spanish and this helped out in the Xibalba arc.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: Has this with Angel Dust. Both of them aren't interested in each other (partly because they're both gay) yet they act like an old married couple.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Is very good at delivering these, but special mention goes to her delivering one to El Condor.

    Alastor

Alastor

A former Southern radio host and the Overlord of Radio, Alastor is the enigmatic "Radio Demon" and now works at the Hotel as main facility manager.

  • Adaptational Personality Change: In a meta sense. Unlike the show, Alastor in Lucifer's Folly goes back more to his original pilot persona which leaned harder into the radio persona, also being more lively and energetic.
  • Demoted to Extra: Didn't appear much in Season 1. Come Season 2 that changes, only for him to dip out again in Seasons 3 and 4. In Season 5 however he becomes a major character once more.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Alastor was initially played as being even more blatantly evil, to the point of being counterproductive and moronic; such as being abusive towards Angel Dust, pulling mean spirited pranks and tricking Angel Dust and Cazador at one point to eat fried imps. Then he was changed up a few other times. This was all due to Alastor being played by multiple different people at one point, before finally being settled with Dark Virtus and then Saint finally, who both have played him more consistently accurately to who he was in the show.
  • Deal with the Devil: Has done this already to Husk and Niffty, but he's additionally now done to this Eden also. He tried to do this to Zagreus, but Cazador managed to convince Zag to not agree to one of Alastor's deals in time.

    Husk

Husk

An alcoholic bat-like cat demon who runs the Caviar Bar and is also the desk clerk of the Hazbin Hotel.
  • The Alcoholic: He was always this, but in Lucifer's Folly it's taken a bit further with him being almost perpetually drunk. There are times he doesn't want to work just so that he can spend more time drinking booze.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Is much more shrewd, stubborn, lazy and grouchy than he is in the show. Albeit this is somewhat downplayed, as he just acts more like a jaded, bitter old man. He also doesn't seem to mind breaking the law a few times and has even gotten into fights with Officer Ray Wilson before, but these are more Played for Laughs.
  • Butt-Monkey: Not as much as Angel or Baxter, but is still on the receiving end at times. Perhaps the best example was during the Dinosaur Pirates RP, where he's not only forced to be tied to the front of the ship after refusing to work as a slave to the Dinosaur Pirates, but he's also forced to listen to Edward and Othinel's bickering and act as a radio, being forced to sing for the Dinosaur Pirates to entertain them.
  • Out of Focus: Was initially Demoted to Extra hard during the first three Seasons, with him only making fleeting cameos in Season 1, not appearing at all in Season 2, and made a few minor appearances in Season 3. In Season 4, he finally becomes a major character again and gets into several plots.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Swears the most out of the Hotel gang, being second only to Angel Dust.

    Razzle and Dazzle

Razzle and Dazzle

Charlie's personal servants, who were given to her by Lucifer to assist and protect her.

  • Adaptational Badass: In contrast to the main series, here Razzle and Dazzle are far more proactive in defending the Hotel, can breathe fire almost on par with Charlie's fire and create wind tornadoes by spinning around.
  • Battle Butler: Their essentially just doormen but they'll kick your ass a plenty. And they can do so without needing to transform into their dragon forms!
  • Out of Focus: Didn't appear at all in Seasons 1 or 3. They only made a brief cameo in Season 2, but otherwise that's it. They do finally show up more in Season 4 and Season 5 onwards however and play a more prominent role compared to before.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Due to Lucifer's Folly being an alternative canon, Dazzle never gets killed and is spared.
  • Suddenly Voiced: Unlike their canon counterparts, Razzle and Dazzle actually both can talk in Lucifer's Folly.

    Dr. Flux

Dr. Flux

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dr_flux.jpg
"Scusi..."
A plague doctor demon who once served on Poveglia Island back during when the plagues were rampant. He is the chief medical officer of the Hotel.
  • The Atoner: Dr. Flux used to be a lousy and lazy doctor back in life, who was simply more interested in keeping track of the killcount.
  • Canon Foreigner: Is an original character and thus is one of the very few Hotel staff members to not be a canon character.
  • Comic-Book Fantasy Casting: According to Gallibon, Dr. Flux sounds like Ray Romano.
  • Gratuitous Italian: Occasionally speaks in random Italian sentences and phrases.
  • Karmic Death: While Dr. Flux wasn't an evil guy, he was still ironically killed by the ghost of one of his patients who he was too apathetic and incompetent to help out.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: He absolutely loves garlic breadsticks.

    Volk

Volk

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/volk_6.png
"These hands have killed before...but not anymore."
A Russian wolf-themed Sinner and the head of Security at the Hazbin Hotel.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Lost an arm at some point and now has a mechanical arm.
  • Arm Cannon / Swiss-Army Appendage: Volk's mechanical arm can also transform into an arm cannon and has several other purposes.
  • The Atoner: The reason he came to the Hotel; to redeem himself for his past actions he caused and did when he used to work for the KGB back in the day.
  • The Big Guy: He is the tallest Hotel patient, only a head shorter than Manon.
  • Cold Sniper: Subverted to Hell and back; Volk's go-to rifle is a Dragunov, and was specialized in long-range assassination. But with his arrival to Hell, is no longer quite as stoic and emotionless as most.
  • Danger Takes a Backseat: His cause of death: strangulation from Agent Fodder.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In Volk's early appearances he was more violent and ruthless. This was later phased out completely in his later appearances and seems very odd when contrasted to his later characterization.
  • Emotional Bruiser: Has learned to stop bottling his emotions thanks to the influence of Cazador and the Hotel, but is still an ex-KGB agent with Spetsnaz training, and can still kick your ass.
  • Noble Wolf: Quite literally.
  • Put on a Bus: Hasn't appeared much, if at all since Season 4.
  • Mother Russia Makes You Strong: But to him, at what cost?
  • Russian Guy Suffers Most: Seems to go through the most emotional pain and suffering among the Hotel crew. This was especially evident in the Sad Wolf arc, where he nearly attempted to kill himself because he felt no one liked him and just saw him as a monster.
  • Secret Police: Was part of one, having worked for the KGB back in life.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Very ashamed of his past actions, and to this day feels he hasn't atoned for the people he's taken out.
  • The Quiet One: Not all that talkative, but he simply chooses to be that way.

    Poxxy

Poxxy

A tall Russian nurse demoness and the resident nurse of the Hotel.

  • All Love Is Unrequited: She is constantly romantically sought after she is despite having no interest in romance herself (Baxter, Jacob, and Jamell have all had feelings for her.)
  • Anime Hair: Has big purple hair.
  • Gratuitous Russian: Speaks in a Russian accent and occasionally speaks in some Russian.
  • Hospital Hottie: Is a nurse and is considered very beautiful.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Is very tall and attractive.
  • Vodka Drunkenski: A female example; Poxxy often likes to drink vodka and will get very drunk.

Patients

    Angel Dust

Angel Dust

AKA: Anthony

A sassy, kinky spider-themed porn star sinner and the very first patient of the Hotel.

  • Adaptational Dumbass: Downplayed in the sense while he's not a total brainless idiot in here, Angel Dust notably has a bad habit of getting himself into trouble by putting himself at risk in easily avoidable situations and seems to be slower to think to some things. That said, he is very street smarts.
  • Ascended Extra: Sure, Angel Dust was already a major character in the show, but here he was promoted to main character status. This was especially prominent in Seasons 1 and 2, where he was the focus of most of the RPs.
  • Baby Morph Episode: Briefly gets turned into a baby during the Xibalba arc, when he dives into the Fountain of Youth and stays in there for too long. He is eventually restored to normal.
  • Berserk Button: If there's one thing you shouldn't do, don't even think about harming Fat Nuggets.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In his first few appearances, Angel Dust acted more normal and seemed to be more of a Deadpan Snarker if anything. This was due to Gallibon not playing him and instead someone else did who didn't quite get the character, making Angel Dust come off as this.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Angel Dust considers being transformed into a woman as this.
  • Gender Bender: Becomes an actual woman (named "Mary-Jane") briefly in one plotline. He doesn't like it.
  • Hammerspace: Seems to be able to summons guns and any other object he needs out of thin air. Sometimes they appear to come out from his fluff, other times they actually seem to be pulled straight from his rear.
  • Idiot Hero: Tends to get himself in many situations due to his own impulsive acts and poor thinking.
  • Informed Attribute: Averted. While in the actual show we never see Angel Dust crossdress despite promotional material saying so, here we do see him crossdress plenty of times.
  • Jerkass: Is definitely this, being vulgar and crass and cracking jokes at other people's expense, not to mention can be pretty selfish and acts very bratty and also is mostly into the hotel for free rent and doesn't take redemption seriously.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: That said, he also has a softer side to him. He knows when to stop cracking snide jokes when the time calls for it and actually does want to help people. This was especially highlighted with Allie, who while he went a little too far in telling her that she had arrived in Hell, he refused to lie to her.
  • Manchild: Behaves very much a bratty teenager down in Hell, despite being in his 30's and being in Hell for 70 years.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: Largely kept this from the pilot, being a little bit sexist and racist at times, though it's more that he's uninformed and just likes to mess with people and isn't actually genuine bigotry.
  • Pet the Dog: Has plenty of these moments, such as when he came in to help Cazador to save Ghari during the Season 4 finale.

    Cazador

Cazador

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cazador_59.jpg
"Hola amigos."
The second patient to arrive at the Hotel and a moody, Mexican crocodile Sinner with a lot of issues he needs to work on, but strives for redemption.
  • Action Dad: He is the father of Ghari (and Zagreus since he adopted him) and is one hell of a fighter.
  • Affectionate Nickname: "Caz" by both Alasmore and Zagreus.
  • Ascended Extra: Started out as just a relatively minor character who simply acted as Angel Dust's Hispanic friend who would come along and help him sometimes. As of Season 2, he's basically become the main character.
  • The Alcoholic: Notably is seen drinking a lot, with his favorite beverage being tequila.
  • The Atoner: Is ashamed of his past as cartel leader and wants to become a better person so that he can redeem and go to Heaven to meet up with his other fallen family members.
  • Berserk Button:
    • He hates being called lazy.
    • Those who are given the chance to redeem but don't take it seriously or waste it appears to be another, more serious berserk button for Cazador, as he Angel Dust learned the hard way when he opened up at first that he didn't take redemption seriously at first.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Cazador is a pretty nice guy for sure, but piss him off enough and he will show you why you shouldn't cross with him.
  • Big Brother Instinct: To Angel Dust, surprisingly enough. When sees Angel Dust being harmed or taken advantage of in anyway, Cazador will quickly step in and help him out.
  • Chick Magnet: Many guys and girls seem attracted to him. The Dinosaur Pirates in particular all fell in love with him (except Raptrice) and wanted him to stay with them because they found him so handsome.
  • Classical Anti-Hero: Cazador largely started out as this for the first few seasons even upon becoming nicer, as he wasn't sure of himself. Eventually he grew out of it and became much more devoted to the Hotel's cause, though he still does show a few traits left over.
  • Character Development:
    • Originally Cazador started out as a grumpy, violent, selfish and cynical crocodile demon who only barely saw redemption as feasible and was only in it for his own sake. His views on Hell used to be more borderline nihilistic and he also disliked Angel Dust back then, finding him extremely annoying and hated working along with him. However, as he spent more time within the Hotel, he becomes more much more devoted to trying to redeem himself and works hard to become a better person to make up for his past crimes. His friendship with Angel Dust also became a lot less one-sided, with Cazador eventually coming to better understand Angel and even is protective of him.
    • Overtime, he becomes much nicer to the point of even adopting Zagreus under his wing to act as a father figure that he so badly needs in his life and helping other people trying to redeem.
  • The Cartel: Used to be the leader of one back when he was alive, of which he strongly regrets nowadays.
  • Disappeared Dad: He was this to Ghari in life, as he died before Ghari was born.
  • Dude Magnet: In addition to being liked by many women, even many guys like him too!
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Besides being more ferocious back then, Cazador seemingly had a reliance of guns back then, something he doesn't really use much of currently.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Speaks in some Spanish here and there, most commonly saying "Mierda!" whenever there is a problem.
  • Ironic Name: "Cazador" in Spanish means "Killer". Cazador may have been one in his past, but he's far from being one in Hell and he is rarely ever actually seen killing anyone.
  • Lazy Mexican: Averted; Cazador is one of the hardest working and active members of the Hotel, working several jobs at once.
  • Nice Guy: Once he goes through his Character Development, he becomes this. He wants to himself and other people succeed at the Hotel.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Averted, Cazador maybe a crocodile Sinner but he is one of the kindest people at the Hotel and in Hell in general.
  • Masked Luchador: As his wrestling alter-ego "The Basilisk" he becomes this.
  • Meaningful Name: His human name was "Gabriel Cucarez". "Gabriel" just so happens to be a name of Hebrew origin that means "God is my strength" or "Hero of God". It was also the name of an angel, but Cazador has overall no connection to said angel.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to most of his friends, Cazador is possibly the most sane man in the Hotel, barring Vaggie. This was even more emphasized in Hazbins Hell Hotel, where he was practically the only one with any sane and rational thoughts.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Heavily downplayed, calling him abhorrent early on is a bit of a stretch, as he was merely just cynical. Eventually he grows out of this and becomes more lighthearted.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Starting after the Taco Hell incident and near the end of Season 1 in general, Cazador starts becoming less cynical and even starts apologizing to Angel Dust and others for being so rude and cynical previously. As of Season 3, he's easily one of the nicest guys around there, being much more eager to help people out and comforts others when their down.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Or rather, trademark favorite drink; Cazador's favorite drink is tequila and is almost always seen drinking it.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Zig-zagged. While he was good with guns, Cazador wasn't a very trained fighter initially, but whenever a fight broke out he'd start swinging. He gets better at fighting later on though for what it's worth.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Starts out with this as Angel Dust for a while, though he eventually mellows out. Even so, the two will have their clashes at times.

    Baxter

Baxter

A mad scientist Sinner with an anglerfish motif who died in the 1910's.

  • Ambiguous Criminal History: Unlike other patients who we've gotten a clear history or hints of what they did, with Baxter not much is known what he may have done. Baxter has hinted at that it was something "admittedly pretty nasty" but whatever that is we don't know.
  • Ax-Crazy: Gives Niffty a run for her money on being the most crazy person in the hotel.
  • Ascended Extra: Originally was just a very minor character who hadn't even debuted yet properly in the show, to being a fulltime major character in Lucifer's Folly.
  • Berserk Button: Hates not being taken seriously, as well being called "cute" which
  • Butt-Monkey: Baxter's luck is abysmally poor, to comical results.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Baxter isn't very subtle about his Mad Scientist persona and constantly talks about how evil and dangerous he is. Hardly anyone takes him seriously, though.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Well fuck me."
  • Cowardly Lion: Has a fear of people who are bigger than stronger than him, though he will stand his ground and argue against them at least.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Is very snarky and prone to giving out snide comments to everyone time to time.
  • Dragged into Drag: Lost two bets during two separate Halloween events in where he was forced to dress up as Ariel from The Little Mermaid in the first one and as Princess Jasmine in the second one. Averted with the third and current Halloween special, where he got to be dressed as a Ghostbuster.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Is very easily frustrated with other people's idiocy, but especially Crymini's.
  • Hates Being Touched: He absolutely doesn't like being touched ever. The only one who seems to get a pass on this is Vaggie, mainly because there's nothing he can do about it as she is stronger than him and ultimately has more authority than him.
  • Hates Being Called Cute: Really doesn't like to be called cute and being treated as such, though he doesn't seem to mind it when Vepar calls him as such.
  • Hulking Out: One plotline had Baxter create his own potion that made him a 15 ft. tall super strong bruiser that was strong enough to defeat Rift Landshark. Downside is, it also made him much more stupid and more violent.
  • The Insomniac: Not outright shown, but Baxter himself claims he almost never sleeps and stays up most nights to work on his inventions in his lab.
  • Insufferable Genius: Is very, very smart but also is pretty annoying to other hotel members, especially towards Vaggie.
    • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: That said, Baxter isn't completely heartless. He felt bad for snapping at Crymini once and while he has caused many problems, he at least will work to solve and undo the problems.
  • Mad Scientist: Has created several wacky inventions such as a No-Clothes Ray and also has created many monsters from his lab.
  • Manchild: Not as much as Angel Dust, but when things don't go his way he is prone to throwing tantrums like a an angry, angsty teen.
  • The Napoleon: Is the second shortest person at the hotel, with only Niffty being shorter than him and is also very nutty.
  • Never My Fault: Almost will never admit to being in the wrong.
  • Poke the Poodle: As much as he likes to brag about how evil he is, most of his crimes and schemes ultimately fall into this, with most of them barely ever going past this level of evil.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Believes himself to be the smartest person in the Hotel and has a very high opinion on himself.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Is by far one of the least moral patients of the hotel, as he barely takes redemption seriously and likes to continue developing his experiments. His actions have also caused many problems for the hotel and occasionally put them in danger— though this is less due to malice and more because he just loves being a bad guy.

    Crymini

Crymini

A young, punk hyena-themed Sinner girl who died in the 90's.

  • Adaptational Dumbass: While her intelligence was never stated in the show proper, Crymini in Lucifer's Folly is not very bright, being very dim-witted and ditzy.
  • Adaptational Badass: Didn't have much (or at least known) powers and skills in the show so far, but in Lucifer's Folly she can breathe fire, has razor sharp claws and wields a big club for combat.
  • Ascended Extra: Was a very minor character in the show, to being a major recurring character in Lucifer's Folly.
  • Breath Weapon: Can breath a stream of flames from her mouth at will.
  • Butt-Monkey: Crymini tends to get put through a lot of crap as well, just not as much as Baxter.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In her first few appearances, Crymini appeared to show signs of being a Deadpan Snarker and was unfazed and apathetic about everything going on around her. In later appearances, she's just made out to be more stupid.
  • The Igor: Serves as this to Baxter, beings she's his de facto assistant and the only one really willing to help him out his schemes.
  • The Quincy Punk: Is into punk and sports a punk rock girl look.

    Fitz

Fitz

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fitz_5.jpg
"Fuck my life."
A purple-skinned zombie demon Sinner with a crippling alcohol addiction and is very unlucky.
  • The Alcoholic: Is almost always seen drinking.
  • Ascended Extra: Was originally just a recurring extra who occasionally appeared (solely to die by the end of every appearance) only to later join the hotel and get more major presence.
  • Butt-Monkey: Nothing seems to very go well for him and is prone to dying or suffering some horrible injuries.
  • Brave Scot: Zig-zagged. Fitz is Scottish but isn't a fighter at all...that said he is pretty bold and has no fear (being more apathetic if anything) so he still counts.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Used to be a normal guy, but after getting framed for rape many times (which he didn't do), his parents stopped supporting him and he was promptly fired from his job, forcing him out onto the streets. Unable to get a new job, Fitz would then resort to a life of burglary and killed any witnesses to avoid getting caught. However Fitz would soon come to regret committing so many crimes and would end up committing suicide out of remorse.
  • Driven to Suicide: Killed himself after committing many crimes and murdering four of his old friends back in life before entering Hell.
  • Iron Butt Monkey: Despite going through so much horrible shit and getting maimed pretty often, all Fitz can do to react to it all is usually indifference or mild annoyance at it, as he's so miserable that it barely phases him.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Averted; Fitz has purple skin but is one of the weakest characters residing at the Hotel.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Tends to die a lot, though ever since joining the hotel these have decreased considerably.

    Spiegel

Spiegel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spiegel_hd_1.jpg
"Never fall into the wrong crowd."
A robot demon whose a former German WWII soldier. Originally a villain who worked for the Hell Nazi Party, Spiegel later changed his ways after being defeated by Golemman and now resides at the Hotel.
  • All Germans Are Nazis: Subverted hard with Speigel, who despite having served in the WWII German army as a captain, actually helped many Jewish and Polish people escape in life as he was disgusted with the Nazis.
  • The Alcoholic: Downplayed, as he's not nearly as alcoholic as Cazador or Fitz but nonetheless admits to being one.
  • Arch-Enemy: Initially is this to both Volk and Golemman. The latter eventually makes him see the truth and make amends the former.
    • He becomes one to Agent Fodder afterwards.
  • Berserk Button: Really hates being called a Nazi.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Flamey, Klick and Putz realized that Spiegel would be trouble if he had his memories restored so with the help of Dr. Varkreim they managed to take control of his mind and force Spiegel into being a mindless killing machine. He is eventually freed from this by Golemman.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Upon being defeated by Golemman, he accepts it as Golemman made him see the light and Spiegel quickly comes to his help.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After being freed from his abusive colleagues, the first thing Spiegel does is foil the Hell Nazis plan on killing Golemman by killing several Stormfronts and beating the shit out of Agent Fodder.
  • Expy: Is largely based off of Brocken Jr. from Manga/Kinnikuman.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Originally was a captain on the Hell Nazis before being freed from his mind control by Golemman. Now he resides at the Hotel and is an ally of Golemman.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Initially, Spiegel refused the chance to redeem as he felt he was irredeemable for having worked with the Hell Nazis and trying to destroy Golemman. He later changes his mind however.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Compared to all of the other Hell Nazi demons before him (who almost all look like blatantly evil, monstrous, ugly and wicked), Spiegel looks more human and noble, not to mention the least monstrous looking. This is of course a major hint to his later redemption.
  • More Dakka: Has guns hidden all over within his body that he can use to shoot at his opponents in combat.
  • Odd Friendship: Has one with Dr. Flux.
  • One-Way Visor: Wears one for his eyes.
  • Only Sane Man: When he initially worked for the Hell Nazi Party, he was definitely this as he was the only one with any morals or sanity in him.
  • Please Keep Your Hat On: Underneath his hat, Spiegel has an exposed brain that's only protected by a see-through dome that shows it off.
  • Robot Soldier: Well yeah.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: During Volk's absence, Spiegel takes over his spot for the time and similarly acts as an aloof ally to Angel Dust and Cazador. He also possesses a lot of knowledge on Hell and is also a soldier whose ashamed of his past.
  • Token Heroic Orc: Out of all the Hell Nazis (who are usually depicted as being monstrous, depraved, amoral and unintelligent), Spiegel is the only one who had any morals, highly intelligent and wasn't a coward. This isn't even getting to the fact that in life he actually freed many Jewish and Polish people to escape the Nazis. This is the reason the Hell Nazis had to mind control him, as otherwise he wouldn't have stuck with them.
  • Token Robot: Is the only robotic character at the Hazbin Hotel besides El Bandito.
  • Those Wacky Nazis: Subverted hard to hell and back. Spiegel dresses akin to a Nazi officer, but he is a Token Good Teammate and holds no Nazi beliefs or views.

    Snowcone

Snowcone

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snowcone_8.jpg
"Suck my popsicle.~"
A one-eyed, blue-skinned Oni Sinner with ice powers and a stripper that once was a rival of Angel Dust but now resides at the Hotel.
  • Agent Peacock: A very effeminate Oni, but one that can also kick ass and quickly freeze his opponents with his icy breath within seconds.
  • Asian Airhead: A rare male example. He isn't very bright and is Japanese. Granted, he eventually grows out of this and becomes smarter over time thanks to Character Development.
  • An Ice Person: Has ice powers and his design even reflects on this, with him having light blue skin (as if he was very cold), possessing a horn that resembles an icicle and sporting hair that resembles snow.
  • Anime Hair: Has big, icy, light-aqua colored hair that's bigger than his body.
  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: Is constantly seen wearing clothing that exposes his belly.
  • Blue Means Cold: The reason his skin is colored blue is because he froze to death on a mountain in life.
  • Blue Means Smart One: Zig-zagged. Initially averted because Snowcone was initially quite the dumbass at first, to the point of almost being The Load. However, then this trope is played straight as Snowcone became more intelligent overtime and he even manages to give out good advice time to time, finally making him this trope.
  • Character Development: Initially started out as a rival of Angel Dust's and disliked Angel because of "favoritism" that he believed was going on between him and Valentino, constantly fighting Angel Dust all of the time too (be it behind the scenes or out in public). Once he found out what Angel Dust was going through with Valentino, Snowcone learns the errors of his ways and then decides to redeem, as he felt bad for misjudging and targeting Angel Dust all of this time. Once he joins the hotel, Snowcone sheds of his lustful and greedy ways and becomes a much more kinder and warmer character.
  • Cyclops: Possesses only one eye.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Thankfully not literally, but Snowcone started out as an icy cold stripper who only cared about himself but eventually became nicer and warm-hearted.
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: Initially had a dislike for Westerners, even at one point calling Angel Dust a "white pig". He eventually drops this once he joins the Hotel.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Is often mistaken for being a woman, possibly even more so than Angel Dust in this regard.
  • Dumbass No More: Becomes more educated and intelligent over time and no longer is prone to doing clumsy or ditzy things he did like in the earlier seasons.
  • Hate Sink: Prior to his character development, Snowcone was a shallow, vain, petty, racist and jealous rival who disliked Angel Dust for how much attention he got and wanted to defame and dethrone him. Fortunately, he gets better.
  • Oni: Is an Oni, specifically a Sinner variant of such. Although in contrast to most male Onis, he appears more slender and feminine.
  • Tragic Ice Character: Averted. Snowcone was an awful person life and was initially a terrible person in Hell, but even warms up and becomes a better person upon his Character Development, with his goal being to redeem himself at the Hotel.
  • Vocal Dissonance: With his appearance, you'd expect Snowcone to have a high and girly sounding voice to match up with his appearance. Instead, he has a deeper baritone voice to him, being deeper than Angel Dust's or Cazador's voices.

    Tylon Matric

Tylon Matric

A wolf-spider mix who is stuck in Valentino's abusive work environment and desires to redeem himself by spending his time at the hotel.

  • The Ace: Has plenty of experience with swordsmanship from his life of crime back on Earth.
  • Asshole Victim: downplayed due to him being regretful and forced into it, but when he got fatally sniped by a rival gang during his life on Earth, you can't help but feel a bit of justice given that he killed a lot of people and took part in various illegal activity.
  • Beyond Redemption: What he fears the most, but if the hotel is his one shot at his chance of redeeming himself, then he'll give it a shot.
  • Determinator: He's devoted into his goal of redemption which sort of distracts him, but when he gets pulled into combat, he'll never give up.
  • Doesn't Like Guns: Never uses any type of firearm in his arsenal, either because he's aware of how overpowered they are or he just doesn't feel they're efficient enough.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: Tends to be this way at times, such as doing an Aside Glance towards the "screen" and speaking directly to the "audience".
  • My God, What Have I Done?: What he felt during his final moments when he reflected on his life of crime, before he was shot fatally. This trait remains in his afterlife and is one of the main reasons why he wants to redeem himself.
  • Redemption Quest: His entire character is devoted into redeeming himself for his sins he committed during his lifetime, but now he has to endure the chaotic shenanigans that happen and all the drama.
  • Heel Realization: Hits this in his final moments during his walk, too bad he wasn't given a chance to make amends.
  • Heroic BSoD: Hits this in his debut roleplay when Valentino finishes verbally abusing him for coming to work hungover from an attempted suicide by overdrinking.
  • The Atoner: His main character trait. He wants to redeem himself of his sins to atone for the many lives he killed and the various crimes he committed during his lifetime.

Overlords of Hell

The movers and Shakers of hell. They aren't exactly up there, but they ensure Hell runs as usual.

    Carmilla Carmine

Carmilla Carmine

The head of Hell's weapon industry, Carmilla Carmine runs her business from the rainforests of Xibalba
  • Adaptational Villainy: While she isn't outright villainous, Carmilla Carmine is still far more ruthless and willing to hurt people than she was in the show.
  • Affably Evil: She is nothing but polite and gracious while casually ordering the death of whoever happens to be messing with her business.
  • Being Evil Sucks: Carmilla is disgusted with the type of people that her business typically brings her into contact with
  • The Cartel: Carmine styles her arms companies after this, employing security forces called Sicarios and employing smugglers to run more illicit operations without Hell's higher-ups knowing.
    • Downplayed because most of her lieutenants and ranking members are still the heads of companies she owns
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She is visibly shaken at the thought that her daughters might be in danger
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Part of the reason she turned on Sector Patrol, though she claims it was costing her too much to keep them armed
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Played for laughs in her relationship with Alexio.
    • "He broke into her house and she found it hot?"
  • Spicy Latina: Downplayed: Carmilla is older and would rather sell her weapons to the people actually doing the fighting, but she can still take care of herself
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Her twin dragons Carzita and El Cráneo cannot stand each other and have on occasion operated against each other rather than together.
  • Tranquil Fury: She never raises her voice and rarely swears, but anybody who messes with her business is met with this.

    Gevaudan Silverwolf

Gevaudan Silverwolf

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gevaudan_4.jpg
"Don't mess with the Silverwolf!
A wolf demon who is the current Overlord of Gambling (after taking the role from Husk) and was the first major villain to be dealt with on Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly. While no longer the main threat, he still is a recurring antagonist and one of the big players.
  • Arch-Enemy: Is Umbria's chief archenemy. On the Hotel side of things, he also strongly opposes Cazador but not as much as Rift.
  • The Big Bad Wolf: Is a wolf demon and proudly proclaims to be this.
  • Big Bad: Served this role in Season 2 of Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly, acting as the first real big threat that Umbria and her gang (as well as the Hotel gang) had to face with.
    • Big Bad Wannabe: Come later seasons however, Gevaudan falls into this instead as he's beaten more and more and refuses to enhance himself and becomes more ineffective. If it wasn't for his more powerful associates, he'd probably wouldn't be all that dangerous.
  • Big Eater: Likes to eat a lot, especially meat. He really likes his food big also.
  • Blow You Away: Gevaudan has the power to breath out a very powerful gust of wind from his mouth that he can use to destroy buildings and city blocks even by merely huffing and puffing and blowing out hurricane strong winds from his mouth.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Believes himself to be Hell's sexiest male Overlord and has attempted to flirt with many high ranking women (such as Carmilla Carmine even), but every woman he falls in love with always seems to reject him on the spot. It seems the only woman whose into him ironically enough is his assistant Bonny.
  • Character Catchphrase: "BONNY!" and "Idiot..." seem to be his most recurring phrases.
  • The Dog Was the Mastermind: Literally, he's not a Sinner like he claims to be, but is actually a powerful Hellhound, thus making him this trope in a literal sense.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In Gevaudan's first appearance, he had a completely different design and didn't have Bonny with him. Also, he initially was a lot more malicious and serious in his earlier appearances, before then this was phased out and he instead became a much more comical Stupid Evil villain that he's better known for today.
  • Evil Is Petty: Will often commit evil acts simply because he wanted to. His first appearance literally had him kill some imps, simply because they didn't have the money to pay him.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Even he finds Lockhart to be creepy and doesn't like being around and doesn't like The Three V's that much. He also believes Rift to be extremely violent and things could go terribly if Rift had his way, so he thinks it's best he himself keeps Rift in line.
  • Expy: Being a wolf villain dressed in white, he is clearly based off of Professor Moriarty from Sherlock Hound.
  • Formerly Fat: According to Umbria, Gevaudan used to weigh a staggering 900 pounds at one point.
  • Furry Reminder: Occasionally does perform some dog/wolf like actions such as scratching himself and wagging his tail.
  • Genius Ditz: Has times where he will come up with great plans and knows business pretty well, but can also be very shortsighted and fail to miss cues (no matter how blatantly obvious they are). He also tends to get distracted easily.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Increasingly falls into this as time goes on, becoming less menacing and pitiful as he continues to lose to the heroes more and more.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Is actually around 250 years old, as his father was the Beast of Gevaudan. How he's aged so well is due to Hellhounds actually having long lifespans and is essentially in his late 30's mentally and physically.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He's gotten nicer to Bonny over time. He no longer smacks her around or calls her a moron, with him instead now treating her equal to him.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Initially, Bonny would help out Gevaudan all the time only for Gevaudan to treat her like crap still and never return her the favor. Whenever he failed too, he'd pin the blame on Bonny. It wasn't until she went missing for a while and realized that he couldn't function so well without her, then he changed his tune and became friendlier to her. He's still like this in general to other people, however.
  • Villain Song: Has two! His first song was "I'm Coming Back to Business" and his second song being "Come To My Palazzo".

There Are Some Things Not Meant For The Eyes

[REDACTED]
A warlock, scientist, alchemist, medical genius and the more all rolled into one and his quite an old one. His currently chilling at a nice bookstore and keeps his family tree and history hidden. Just let the cat read his large medical journal in peace!
  • Affably Evil: He can be a nice and civil when it comes to it and will try...unless you're a simpleton or imbecile. He won’t outright swear at you. He still keeps to the old code of civility.
  • And I Must Scream: After poisoning a whole camp of Muslim forces during the First Crusade and then being cast down to the depths of Hell, he's willing to make you feel really hopeless and lost and that often includes forms of mental, physical and spiritual torture that can stretch out for eons within your brain.
  • Applied Phlebotinum: Living for 900 years studying the forces and layout of Hell and its seven rings and his continuous study in magic, science and especially the medical field makes it so the Doc has the brains and resources to pull it off some crazy feats of science and magic!
  • Body Horror: The Doc’s work in twisting and reshaping the sinner and hellborn body has gone down a long path of spiritual sacrilege and utterly shattering the minds and lives of whatever poor soul becomes a A.B.G. Disfigured and in continuous pain for eternity... The Old Doc doesn’t hesitate in showing you a real taste of Hell.
  • Character Development: The Doc was originally intended to assist in the development of another character named Kendrick Greenman and was a basic evil scientist but was soon later revised to being a retired overlord who had a long, shady and obscure of creating frightening artifacts, discovering things that are not meant for the eyes and has been all over the seven rings and has helped overlords and warlords start their careers but always remained a background actor.
  • Chekhov'sGun: As the Old Doc’s journey continues, people have been wondering what his family tree looks like and it is as always when it concerns the Old Doc it is shrouded in mystery and so hints have been spread across his stories and through the actions of other characters and their habits and there is one important hint that has been hiding in plain sight and has been mentioned time and time again. The Eyes Are The Windows To The Soul
  • Crueland Unusual Death: The Old Doc has put himself through horrible deaths such as every single fibre of his being twisted 700 times, being skinned, having his own legs torn off and crawling through a minefield. This was all done to test every single inch of his mental fortitude and strength so as to brush off any loss of a limb with indifference and get cracking.
  • Eldritch Abomination: After messing with the forces of Hell, doing multiple experiments and engaging with a lot of rituals and spying on multiple cults for centuries. He sees many things nowadays that people can’t see and he has been twisted from the inside to the outside and its hard to keep traces of it leaking out.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The Old Doc has done many things but he has never crossed the line when it came to things concerning sexual depravity. It serves no benefits in his eyes and just kinda wastes his time in his opinion and doesn’t give him results.
  • Jerkwith A Heart Of Gold: Its very hard to find it as you will have to peel back layers upon layers to touch it. His always had to be uptight and serious and if you do manage to get to him. You’ll have a life long friend.. but Carmilla managed to get a little deeper than that.
  • Evil Virtues: His had a long list of war crimes and atrocities all attached to his name however when it comes to younger villains, he becomes quite genial and friendly enough, often acting as a sort of benefactor or a sort of ‘Old Uncle’ for Overlords and Warlords and is willing to be a good mentor.
  • Gratuitous Latin : Being the old overlord that he is and coming directly from the medieval ages, his always been fluent in latin and every document and any scrap of paper that he has in his bunkers are always written in the dead language due to its close roots in magic, science and religion. There's a few vestiges of power within the tongue that can give rituals and extra push and it reminds the Old Man of home.
  • Cyberpunk Weather: When it come to the Old Doc, there's always gonna be lousy weather of either fog or rain as it serves as a cover for his movements and makes sure no one knows which direction his creeping in from.

    Rift Landshark

Rift Landshark

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rift_landshark.jpg
"THE SHARK RULES!"
The Overlord of Wrestling and a shark themed Sinner who died in the late 90's. He was one of the first Overlords to appear in Lucifer's Folly, is the main enemy of Cazador and is a major recurring antagonist.
  • Big Bad: Is the main villain of the IWF (Infernal Wrestling Federation) arc.
  • The Brute: Of the Overlords Circle, he is among the strongest if not the strongest Overlord (at least in terms of raw physical strength) and is also one of the most active Overlords.
  • Dumb Muscle: Downplayed. While he is short-sighted, impulsive and irrational, he's still fairly intelligent street smart-wise and knows a lot about his expertise and business areas.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In his earliest appearances, Rift was far more dim-witted (to the point of being Too Dumb to Live) and was also a Japanophile, having a very large interest in all things Japanese. The latter trait was later phased out completely meanwhile the former trait of his has been mostly downplayed.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: It might be extremely hypocritical coming off from him, but he has no qualms on bashing Vroomius for utilizing his mental health as an excuse for doing evil.
  • Expy: Is largely an expy of 90s wrestlers such as Steve Austin and perhaps most egregiously, The Rock, complete with the film career as a side-gig and him calling himself "The Shark".
  • Hate Sink: Among Overlords, Rift is very obviouly intended to be despised the most, showcasing stereotypical toxic Alpha Male traits, and acting as an unrepentent Shadow Archetype to Cazador.
  • Implacable Man: Being the top star of the IWF, he hits like a truck, and when he's on his 'roids, he barely feels pain.
  • Shark Man: Rift Landshark is a giant shark Sinner, specifically he is based on the Megalodon.
  • Strong and Skilled: Having the physique you'd expect, he also acts as the IWF's incumbent booker, and understands how to manipulate and rig the odds so that what's "best for business" comes through (that is to say, him staying on top).
  • Third-Person Person: Tends to call himself "The Shark". But only on the ring, because the Shark does as he pleases.
  • Unscrupulous Hero: While on the ring, he acts like this (and believe it or not, he's considered a Face by his own standards). When off of the ring, not so much.

    Vroomius Maximus

Vroomius Maximus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vroomius_maximus.jpg
"Buy my merch!"
An Overlord hailing from Jigoku, Vroomius Maximus is the Overlord of Racing and a popular Tokusatsu actor who also stars in his own spinoff which is named after him. He is also a major antagonist in Lucifer's Folly.
  • Ascended Extra: Started out as just a mere throwaway Overlord who was mentioned as being interested in Umbria's bar and was mentioned a few times off-handedly as he was a famous celebrity in Jigoku. In Season 4, he not only gets to appear more but he's also the main antagonist of the Jigoku arc.
  • Anti-Villain: Averted. He claims to be doing nothing really wrong or illegal and is just "doing it to entertain his audience", but it becomes pretty clear through his actions that he is doing harmful things for his own amusement.
  • Attention Whore: Gives Rift Landshark a run for his money on this, as he is an already famous TV star but can't seem to get enough of the spotlight.
  • Beam Spam: Is capable of doing this by firing out all of his lasers from his headlights, his eyes and his Fire-Ice AC Beams from his hands.
  • Big Good: He believes himself to be this, but in reality; he is very deluded and is about as far as you can be from being a Big Good.
  • Blood Knight: Loves fighting and killing monsters and villains, regardless if they deserved it or not. He also doesn't seem to have much regard for whoever his target is.
  • Breakout Villain: Has gone to show up more prominently and is even the main character of his own spinoff, which is simply called Vroomius Maximus.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Tends to call out all of his attacks before he does them.
  • Corporate-Sponsored Superhero: Parodied, there are a TON of sponsors for Vroomius Maximus, the most prominent being a popular pizza chain in Jigoku known as "Pizza Cock".
  • Corrupted Character Copy: Is one to both Ultraman and Kamen Rider. While he looks the part of a Kamen Rider and acts like an Ultraman, he is also unhinged, mentally unstable, scummy and un-heroic. He treats his co-stars poorly, beats up extras and constantly gets into fights and controversy.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: In contrast to the show, Carmilla was not the first Overlord to kill an Exorcist but rather it was Vroomius Maximus (with the help of his giant robot of course). He wasn't even expecting it to work but because of it, ever since he's helped defend Jigoku against the Exorcists and uses it to brag about how Jigoku is "Exorcist-free" compared to Pentagram City.
  • Destructive Savior: Even in his own show, Vroomius is depicted as causing just as much damage (maybe even more so) as his enemies. In real life, he still causes lots of property damage when fighting off kaiju or Exorcists when defending Jigoku.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Is an amoral and delusional Overlord who believes himself to be a righteous hero, but even he despises Purr-Vert, calling her deplorable and also telling her off that she sucks.
  • Expy: Is largely one to Great Z from Series/Dogengers, even having a similar appearance to him and being an invasive villain who has plans of his own and suffers from some kind of illness. Unlike Great Z however, Vroomius Maximus is an evil prick through and through, with no amount of Freudian Excuses being able to excuse his acts.
  • Fallen Hero: Believe it or not, Vroomius Maximus actually did once used to be a good person in life. However, fame and his poor mental health later took a toll on him, driving him to be severely corrupted.
  • Freudian Excuse: As a kid, he was made fun of for liking Tokusatsu shows, which followed him for years and has a largely unattentive adopted father. Growing up for him wasn't the best either, as he had a very amoral older sister who gaslit and manipulated into doing stuff for her and suffers from mental health issues. That said...
    • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: It certainly doesn't excuse any of the actions he later commits to people who did nothing wrong to him or only wanted to help him out. He even tries to keep blaming all of his issues on his poor mental health conditions but this falls flat when one sees that he outright refuses to seek medical help or taking his meds because he believes it's for the weak.
  • Holier Than Thou: Has a ridiculously high standard of what makes a "great hero" and trashes on most of his fellow En Jins for "not acting" like proper heroes in his eyes. He also unfairly compares them all to himself and expects that they should act like him.
  • Humongous Mecha: Not shown yet, but he is stated to own a giant mecha known as "Dai Kuso Robotto" (which simply translates to "Big Fucking Robot" in Japanese.
  • In the Name of the Moon: Almost always deliver a speech. They can range from admittedly cool sounding, to odd, to just plain pretentious sounding.
  • It's All About Me: Thinks and only cares about himself at all times.
  • Jerkass: Is openly rude, condescending, arrogant and abrasive towards most people and is nothing like the hero he plays on TV.
  • Large Ham: "I AM VROOMIUS MAXIMUS!"
  • Nice Character, Mean Actor: I mean, nice is stretching it, but in his show, he acts relatively kind-hearted and heroic on his show. However, he behaves like a complete and utter pompous douchebag off-set, treating his co-stars like crap and is a hostile Overlord whose constantly looking for someone to fight.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: He can create tornadoes by spinning around in his car mode, can turn giant to cause more destruction and can even cause firestorms.
  • Speed Demon: He is a car demon that can dash up to incredibly fast speeds, being one of the fastest demons in all of Hell.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Is adored and worshipped in his home realm Jigoku as being seen as this great hero and protector of Jigoku, when he's really contentious and abhorrent in reality. Not helping the Hotel gang's case is that Vroomius Maximus has defended Jigoku from Exorcists and has successfully slain them before, effectively cementing his status as a hero to the people of Jigoku.

    The Wizard

The Wizard

The Overlord of drugs.
  • Cool Bike: The Wizard is always introduced motorcycling in on a classic chopper.
  • Mellow Fellow: Justified by the amount of chemicals the Wizard is constantly consuming.
    • Enforced by Lord Henry himself. He wanted to create an overlord who would not only be reasonable, but calm and peaceful as well, even if it went against what every other Overlord's principles were.
  • Mushroom Samba: He's fond of giving these to people, either to help them with something or to defend himself
  • Nice Guy: All the Wizard wants is to spread cheer, but people keep insisting he's an Overlord.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He hates exercising his authority, but when he must, expect him to be fair.

    Staticus

Staticus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/staticus.jpg
"PREPARE TO GET ZAPPED—- VERY BADLY!!!!
A mad scientist, lightbulb themed Overlord who is the Overlord of Electrics.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Not to the extent of Vroomius, but he still does this.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Is incredibly hammy, acting like a supervillain from the the 1960's Batman show.
  • Evil Laugh: Does this constantly.
  • Flight: Is capable of flight thanks to his jetpack.
  • Mad Scientist: Really embraces the role and is one of the most famous mad scientists in Hell, having used his "Zero Current" to power up many of his inventions and appliances.
  • My Brain Is Big: His lightbulb head resembles that of an enlarged cranium, emphasizing his high intelligence.
  • Shock and Awe: His main powers and abilities revolve around electricity. His electrical power rivals that of even Vox!
  • Shout-Out: Two attacks of his are called "Electric Feel" and "Electric Funeral".

    Arcadian

Arcadian

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arcadian.jpg
"Game over, I win."
The Overlord of Gaming and a computer themed Sinner who died in the late 80's back when arcades were all the rage.
  • Caustic Critic: Complains about any and everything that goes against his structured view of canon. That is to say, post-2020 media.
  • Character Tic: From time to time, Arcadian tends to adjust his glasses, mostly to cap off his "signature look of superiority", as he calls it.
  • Cyclops: Only sports one eye.
  • Evil Nerd: He's the Overlord of Gaming and looks and acts like a stereotypical nerd. However, he's no less menacing still.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In his earliest appearances he was more quiet and more associated with Gevaudan, acting interchangeably with his other minions. It wasn't until he was then played by Potato that he was fleshed out and given a more proper personality.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Considers being forced to play Ride to Hell: Retribution to be this.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Among the other Overlords, Arcadian doesn't appear to be very well-liked. Even both Vroomius and Rift (who both despise each other) teamed up to beat him up because they were tired of hearing him talk down to them.
  • Insufferable Genius: Well, duh. Expect him to correct you for the most menial things.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: His voice and mannerisms are influenced by Chris O'Neill's impressions of the Nostalgia Critic.
  • Non-Human Head: His head is shaped like an old fashioned computer monitor though it being square-shaped is also meant to be a joke on how he's a square.
  • Mid-Review Sketch Show: Has a review show called "Games Over", where he roasts bad games, and he's cooking on an open fire.
  • My Beloved Smother: Despite being an Overlord, he still lives with his mom Bernice. He claims however that she is actually the one living with him due to her age, though hardly anyone buys it. He doesn't seem to take kindly to her much.
  • The Most Dangerous Video Game: All of the games he has developed have this caveat. If you make an account, your soul is put on the line.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: I mean, were you expecting anything else from an easily angered, narcissistic basement dweller obsessed with pop culture and nostalgia?.
  • Shout-Out: His human name is a portmanteau of Todd Rogers and Billy Mitchell, two of gaming's worst cheaters.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Thinks highly of himself and thinks he's one of the top Overlords as well as acting as if he possesses more authority than he actually owns, but is actually one of the lower level Overlords and even the other Overlords don't take him seriously.
  • Symbolic Wings: Arcadian's wings heavily resemble that of a Playstation 2 controller.
  • Unconfessed Unemployment: Arcadian develops indie games. Sadly, the market is so oversaturated with people who wanted to be game devs, that he barely gets any work, despite being an Overlord. As such, he mostly runs his comic shop, which is just two blocks away from his mother's home.

    Basketive

Basketive

A basketball themed Overlord who is the Overlord of Basketball and the de facto leader of the "The Bad Sports" (between him, Rift and Vroomius). While he hasn't shown up yet (at least physically) he is stated to be a very powerful and dominative figure in his own right.

  • Even Evil Has Standards: While an overall amoral guy, even he finds Purr-Vert to be a pain in the ass and especially dislikes her racist comments.
  • The Ghost: So far he hasn't appeared yet, but is mentioned several times by the other Overlords.
  • Only Sane Man: Of The Bad Sports, Basketive is clearly the most level-headed and competent of the three, which makes it no wonder he's considered the leader.

    Penn E. Dreadful

Penn E. Dreadful

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/penn_e_dreadful.jpg
"I'm rich, bitch!"
An elderly coin-themed Overlord who is the Overlord of Banking and one of Gevaudan's top enforcers.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Isn't the least bit subtle about how evil he is, as he constantly boasts about how evil he is. In his own words, he was "born" to be mean.
  • Cruella to Animals: Given he was a poacher in life, it's a given he was this. In fact, he claims to have contributed to the extinction of the thylacine, as he proudly admits to having killed several of them (and proudly made slippers out of their fur.)
  • Evil Mentor: Taught Gevaudan just about everything there is about being an Overlord and business.
  • Evil Old Folks: Is one of the oldest Overlords both mentally and physically and is also one of the evilest Overlords as well.
  • Expy: Is heavily based off of Zeni Crazy from Seigi No Symbol Condorman.
  • Greed: A money themed demon who just so happens to be greedy!? Who would have thought!?
  • Karma Houdini: Was this in life and even in Hell, rarely gets punished for his crimes because he knows how to avoid punishment well.
  • Hate Sink: Out of all of the Overlords and members of Gevaudan's circle, Penn E. Dreadful has virtually no redeeming qualities having been a conman poacher who knows how to evade punishment very well, is extremely greedy and bloodthirsty, and enjoys seeing others suffer.
  • Morally Bankrupt Banker: Was this in life and continues to be one in Hell.
  • More Despicable Minion: He's arguably a lackey of Gevaudan's, yet he's even more evil than Gevaudan ever is.
  • Out of Focus: Hasn't shown up much since the end of Season 3. According to Bonny, he's still out doing business in other places.
  • Punny Name: His name is a pun off of "Penny Dreadful", a type of cheap literature produced in the 19th century in the United Kingdom. Not that he has much to do with literature, however.

The Three V's

The top three most powerful and influential Overlords in Hell.
    Valentino

Valentino

The Overlord of Porn and one of the main antagonists. He's part of the The Three V's, along with Vox and Velvette.
  • Adaptational Badass: While Valentino was no slouch in the show, here Valentino has shown getting into combat several times and has won most of them.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: In addition to being as bad as he is in the show, Valentino is additionally much more competent, calculating and is a criminal mastermind. For starters, he actually refuses to touch the Hazbin Hotel, because his beef is with Angel and solely Angel. He also acts much more charismatic and kind out in public to better conceal himself and have less people doubt him, thus making retribution against him hard.
  • Adaptational Villainy: While for the most part he is the same as he is in the show, he's additionally much more Genre Savvy and intelligent here than he is in the show, making him even more of a dangerous threat and on par with his fellow V's.
  • Ascended Extra: While an important character in canon, Valentino here is promoted to a much major role, to the point he appears more than the other two V's and was essentially the Big Bad of Season 1 and 2.
  • Big Bad: Served as the main villain of Season 1 and 2 of Lucifer's Folly. Still serves this role in later seasons, but is more of a Big Bad Ensemble like the rest of the major villains in Lucifer's Folly at that point.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Becomes one of the main threats Angel Dust and the Hotel gang must face in the later seasons of Lucifer's Folly.
  • Creepy High-Pitched Voice: Unlike in canon, Valentino constantly has a voice described like this (due to this Valentino appearing two years before the show debuting), although it can lower but still nonetheless fruity.
  • Dirty Coward: Ironically averted; this incarnation of Valentino is many things, but a coward is not one of them. In this he's much more savvy to realize not to cross paths with Charlie or Stolas (feeling it would be fruitless to do so) and actually is very willing to partake in combat.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Is prone to doing this a lot.
  • The Dreaded: Feared by Angel Dust and many, and for good reason.
  • Expy: His voice is stated to be modeled off of the Chief Blue Meanie from Yellow Submarine.
  • Laughably Evil: While he's depraved in this just like how he was in the show, in this he also has more comical moments in the form of him possessing a dark sense of humor.
  • Moth Menace: Valentino is a giant moth demon who is also a Serial Rapist and Bad Boss pimp.
  • Serial Rapist: Not only has he forced Angel Dust into this many times, but he's implied to do it to many of his other porn stars and employees as well. And it's taken 100% seriously too.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Ironically, he rarely ever swears like he does in the show. This arguably makes it more effective when he actually does start swearing and raising his voice.
  • Super Smoke: Just like in the show, Valentino can manipulate smoke and can weaponize it as means of combat.

    Vox

Vox

The Overlord of TV and one of the main antagonists. He's part of the The Three V's, along with Valentino and Velvette.
  • The Bus Came Back: Was absent for a while, but finally shows up and becomes a more major villain in Season 5 of Lucifer's Folly.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In one of his earliest appearances, Vox was shown doing an interview with Alastor and was oddly calm about it, showing no ill will against Alastor. All other later appearances instead show that he really fucking HATES Alastor.
  • Only Sane Man: Of the Three V's. Though that isn't saying a whole lot.
  • Out of Focus: Has a few small cameos in Season 2 and Season 4, but otherwise doesn't really show up and become prominent until Season 5.
  • Shock and Awe: Has electrical powers and are far more emphasized on here, with him now being able to shoot out bolts of lightning from his hands even.

    Velvette

Velvette

The Overlord of Fashion and one of the main antagonists. He's part of the The Three V's, along with Valentino and Vox.
  • Demoted to Extra: As noted in Out of Focus below, she doesn't appear nearly as much as Vox and Valentino do in Lucifer's Folly. This is somewhat justified however, as back then not a whole lot of info on Velvette was readily available at the time Lucifer's Folly was made.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In her early appearances, she was actually made out to be this chill and cool person despite being an Overlord and even had belief in redemption. Later appearances would make her more outright villainous.
  • Out of Focus: Gets the least amount of screentime out of the Three V's and is rarely seen.

Hell's Elite

The other rulers of Hell who are the demons closest to Lucifer.
    Lucifuge Rofocale

Lucifuge Rofocale

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucifuge_rofocale.jpg
"I need more darkness in here."
A very tall, blue-skinned, big horned demon with three eyes and Lucifer's most loyal demon and is also the Prime Minister of Hell.
  • All-Encompassing Mantle: Wears a black cloak that covers his whole body.
  • The Comically Serious: Is very serious and hardly reacts to the wacky and absurd shit coming his way.
  • Expy: In terms of appearance, he bares a strong resemblance to both Megamind and King Monster from Seigi No Symbol Condorman''.
  • Four-Philosophy Ensemble: The Apathetic to Lucifer's Optimist and Mephistopheles's Realist.
  • The Jeeves: Has this role to Lucifer.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Is always seen frowning.
  • Sad Clown: In contrast to Mammon's Monster Clown motif, Lucifuge Rofocale is this. Back when he was an angel, his motif used to be a jester angel. Ever since falling down to Hell, he's been deprived from joy and is now more shell-shocked and serious.
  • The Stoic: Hardly shows much emotion.
  • The Spock: Serves this role to Lucifer, being his more logical advisor.
  • Power Floats: Constantly is seen hovering and floating around.
  • Red Herring: With his menacing appearance, perpetually frown, sinister clothing, wind constantly blowing around him and being extremely tall compared to Lucifer, Lucifuge Rofocale upon introduction appears that he'll be the main antagonistic force from Hell's elites opposing Charlie and her hotel. He even looks like a stereotypical Big Bad. However he isn't, but rather Mephistopheles is.
  • The Smart Guy: Is very intelligent.

    Mephistopheles

Mephistopheles

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mephy.png
"Let's make a deal!"
Yes, him. The right hand of Lucifer and owner of Mephistopolis. A suave, smooth-talking shadow demon, and one of the most notorious dealmakers in Hell, if not the most. His deals, although commanding steep prices, always come true. However, his slick appearance and silver tongue mask his true, nightmarish self...
  • And I Must Scream: The fate of those who cheat out of his contracts.
  • Absurdly High-Stakes Game: Is VERY fond of doing these.
  • Big Bad: Is one of the most highest ranking demons in Hell, strongly opposes the Hotel and is also the most recurring threat throughout Lucifer's Folly, effectively making him this.
  • The Casino: Owns a giant casino named after him called "Mephistopolis" which is a giant sprawling casino city.
  • Community-Threatening Construction: His big goal is that he wants to demolish the Hazbin Hotel to make a new Mephistopolis in Pride.
  • Creepy Jazz Music: Is typically accompanied with some eerie sounding jazz music whenever he comes in.
  • Death Dealer: He can throw cards as an attack.
  • Deal with the Devil: Well, he is the trope maker and it's obviously his thing. There was even a plot where Angel Dust sell his soul to him to make him a "superstar" and get away from his old life. Angel Dust would find out that this would be a big mistake and it had to take Charlie to get him out of his deal with Mephisto. In fact, to date only Angel Dust and Verosika are the only ones to come out of Mephisto's contracts alive. Everyone else? They've not been so lucky.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Downplayed and Played for Laughs, even he found Chaz to be too annoying and promptly kicked him out of his soul collection because he bothered him too much.
    • To a lesser extent, he didn't take kindly to Nachash being more blatantly evil, but that's only because he didn't want Nachash to screw up their deal with Angel Dust.
  • Expy: Mephistopheles' role as right hand of the Devil and having a huge gambling/casino theme both bring to mind King Dice. In a case of Comic-Book Fantasy Casting, Potato even envisioned Wayne Brady playing him!.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: Being the Embodiment of Deceit, his eyes are always obscured by his trilby. Now whether Mephisto even has eyes or not we do not know...
  • Four-Philosophy Ensemble: Both the Cynic and the Realist to Lucifer's Optimist and Lucifuge's Apathetic.
  • Gambling Ruins Lives: Literally.
  • The Gambler: As if it wasn't obvious enough.
  • Greed: Embodies this very well and gives even Mammon a good run for his money on this. Although his main motif is Lies and Deception.
  • Jackass Genie: He is specifically a Jinn and thus is technically one and he'll make them come true, but you'll regret making any wishes with him as he'll twist and distort them to his liking.
  • Living Shadow: Is a demon made up of shadows.
  • Magically-Binding Contract: Every contract he makes binds people to him and Mephistopolis, should they break it, they will suffer a worse fate than just being his puppet.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Being that he wrote the book on contracts, he loves manipulating and guilt-tripping his debtors into giving their coveted souls.
  • Mephistopheles: The one, the only, accept no substitutes!.
  • More Despicable Minion: Compared to Lucifer and Lucifuge, he is far more malevolent and has none of their redeeming qualities.
  • Paranormal Gambling Advantage: Mephistopheles is an unrepentent Five-Aces Cheater, and even uses his own magic to make odds always be in his favor.
  • Playing Card Motifs: His motif is that of the Joker and his long horns are meant to evoke a jester's hat. On the scheme of circus themes among Hell's rulers, he is designed after a sideshow barker, with Mephistopolis being his personal freak show.
  • Thin Chin of Sin: Look at his jawline, that man truly is up to no good.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: For what he does to his debtors.

The Infernal Council

The government of Hell, run by some of Lucifer's most loyal demons.
    Dantalion

Dantalion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dantalion.jpg
"The rules state...."
A Great Duke of Hell, the 71st member of the Demons of the Ars Goetia and the de facto leader of the Infernal Council.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Despite his overall personality and status, Dantaltion does whatever it takes to please Lucifer and doesn't like angering him and is much more servile and gentle around him.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Is the leader of the Infernal Council to a fault, is very ruthless and wants Hell to go back to it's old roots but he's second rate compared to someone like Mephisto or Lucifuge and holds limited power in the grand scheme of things.
  • Character Catchphrase: "It seems about right..."
  • Corrupt Politician: Zig-zagged. On one hand he's a stickler for the rules and follows them very well. That said, he goes too far on enforcing them and will even resort to violent methods to enact them. He certainly also isn't above public shaming his fellow council members or booting several out for smaller reasons. He's also tried to create several new authoritarian rules, but they rarely get picked up (and again, since he follows the rules anyways, he dooms himself to not pursue them).
  • Evil Old Folks: Is one of the oldest members of the Ars Goetia and is a spiteful and cold-hearted demon Duke.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Unpleasant and detestable as he is, even Dantalion dislikes Mephisto, finding him to be "deplorable" and believes he's up to no good.
  • Fantastic Racism: Hates humans and angels with a passion.
  • Jerkass: Is an old prick who repeatedly goes after demons like Stolas for showing love for lower class demons and chiding them for "showing feelings of an almost human nature".
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Claims to know a lot and to be an intellectual, but really isn't as smart as he claims to be.
  • Multiple Head Case: Has a total of nine heads.
  • Never My Fault: Whenever something goes wrong and it was caused by him, expect him to claim he was never at fault and shift the blame onto one of his other cohorts instead.
  • Noodle Incident: Apparently Cleopatra made a deal with him once. What this deal was or why she did it, it's never been explained.
  • Obstructive Bureaucrat: Definitely falls into this.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Hates lower class demons such as imps and hellhounds and refers to them by derogatory names and also strongly frowns upon any high-ranking demon who shows affection to them. He calls Stolas an "imp-diddler" because of how he's romantically involved with an imp and likewise is disgusted with Asmodeus having feelings for Fizzarolli.
  • Rules Lawyer: Strongly enforces all of the rules and laws of the Infernal Council and Hell's society, no matter how obscure and ridiculous they are. Despite being a Corrupt Politician himself, Dantalion hasn't broken one of them and follows them well.
  • Sycophantic Servant: Behaves this way to Lucifer.
  • Voice of the Legion: Albeit in a separate way, as each head can talk and speak on their own. Their are times however they all speak in unison and thus become this trope.

    Melchom

Melchom

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/melchom.jpg
"So what if he had his reasons? He's an Imp and he can't be compared to us."
A monkey demon who is the Paymaster of Hell, the Keeper of Hell's Archives and one of the members of the Infernal Council.

    Picollus

Picollus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/picollus.jpg
"I'm here to collect you SOULS! As in money."
A cockroach demon who is the Tax Collector of Hell (a literal Soul collector) and one of the members of the Infernal Council.
  • Adaptational Species Change: In contrast to his counterpart from the Dictionairre Infernal (who was simply a large nosed nobleman), this Picollus is a giant insect demon.
  • Creepy Cockroach: Is a big, nasty and ugly cockroach demon.
  • Fat Bastard: Not as big as Behemoth but is still pretty portly and is a massive Jerkass.
  • Freudian Excuse: It certainly doesn't excuse anything, but the reason he hates Hellhounds so much is because they'd always steal and eat up his food all the time from him, leaving him with scraps.
  • Humiliation Conga: Is put through this in the Cretaceous Estate RP, where upon being sent by the Infernal Council to check out what's going on at Baxter's Cretaceous Estate, he is promptly shot at several times, set on fire, run over (twice), beaten by some of the demon dinosaurs, sprayed at, slams against several trees, slips and falls down a cliff and finally is attacked by a Nifftysaurus.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: He succeeds in shutting down Baxter's Cretaceous Estate, but is severely beaten up and broken by the end of it that he has to be in hospital care for a while.
  • Jerkass: Likes to pick and tease on lower ranking demons by pestering them about their taxes.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Has a hatred for hellhounds. Also to imps, and also will occasionally show up to Melchom's The Daily Damned to give his bigoted opinions on them.
  • Sinister Schnoz: Has a very large pointed nose.
  • Those Two Guys: Is often seen with Melchom, a good friend of his.
  • Troll: Given how he will constantly show up to pester and remind people how they need to return their taxes and when he'll show up to collect them, he strongly comes off as this. He also admits it's fun to mess with people.

    Anarazel

Anarazel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anarazel.jpg
"Nothing but a load..."
A goat demoness who is the Treasurer of Hell and a member of the Infernal Council.
  • Adaptational Species Change: The original Anarazel in the Dictionairre Infernal was simply an old lady demon with the only unusual thing about her was her eyes were pitch black. In Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly, she is instead a goat demoness.
  • Breath Weapon: She can breathe out a stream of flames from her mouth when angered.
  • Chubby Chaser: She appears to have a thing for large demons, given her comments towards Mammon and the fact she's dating Behemoth.
  • Extreme Omni-Goat: Likes to eat money, paper and several other things that normally aren't considered suitable for eating.
  • Gruesome Goat: Is a rather wicked goat demoness.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The Tiny Girl to Behemoth's Huge Guy.
  • Rich Bitch: Is very rich as well as a pompous and stuck up bitch.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Is one of the few female members of the Infernal Council, as well as the most recurring one.
  • Women Are Wiser: Averted, Anarazel thinks she's this in her circle, but in reality she's just as amoral and loony as the rest of the Infernal Council members.
  • Troll: Likes to move treasures around all the time solely to torture the people looking for them.

    Behemoth

Behemoth

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/behemoth_1.jpg
"Not now, too busy eating..."
A fat elephant demon who is the Cupbearer of Hell and a servant of Beelzebub. Is also a member of the Infernal Council.
  • Berserk Button: Doesn't like Morax being brought up to him.
  • Cruel Elephant: Is an elephant demon and is a massive asshole.
  • Fat Bastard: Is an enormous, fat elephant demon who is rude, selfish and eats a lot, having little care for anyone else's matters.
  • Formerly Fit: Hilariously, back in the day he used to be a really skinny elephant demon up until his 20's, where he then became a really strong and muscular demon wrestler who worked alongside Morax. Then eventually Behemoth fell off and split off from Morax, gaining weight and becoming the fatass he is today.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The Huge Guy to Anarazel's Tiny Girl.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Used to be good friends with Morax, but overtime they went their separate ways.
  • Villainous Glutton: Of course.

Sector Patrol

The overarching "law enforcement" of Hell that was founded by Bael. They are the ones who enforces Hell's laws and are just as crooked as the Overlords. Due to how widespread they are, there is a division of Sector Patrol units in every sector.

Pentagram City Sector Patrol Division

    Officer Ray Wilson

Officer Ray Wilson

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ray_wilson_8.jpg
"HALT IN THE NAME OF THE LAW! Yeah, we got one of those around here!"
A skeletal Sinner and the chief officer of Sector Patrol's Pentagram City division.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: Ray Wilson fears only one man out in Hell...that being his boss, Bael.
  • Berserk Button: Ray Wilson absolutely despises his demon name "Officer Bonehead" and will lash out violently at anyone who brings it up.
  • By-the-Book Cop: Sure he's pretty extreme on how he goes about enforcing it, but unlike El Condor or Lady Ketsuyoku, he's actually honest and actually wants to do the job.
  • Cowboy Cop: Literally, he's dressed like an old fashioned Wild West sheriff and comes from Texas, so his appearance strongly invokes this. He also tends to do things his way to get the job done right.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: While generally arrogant and inept at times, he does boast a pretty successful record in arresting many criminals. He may not have caught Angel Dust or Cazador yet still but he has caught plenty of lesser criminals to make up for this.
  • Dem Bones: Is a skeleton demon.
  • Determinator: Say what one will about him, there is no denying that when Ray Wilson wants something done, he damn makes sure it will get done and will even put himself at risk to just get the job done.
  • Dirty Cop: In his earlier appearances, Ray Wilson was far more crooked and corrupt as he wanted to arrest Angel Dust and his friends for simply driving a red van on a Saturday as it was a slow day and he simply wanted to make an arrest on a Saturday. In later appearances, he's largely fallen out from this though he still has some shades of it (such as being very trigger-happy).
  • Donut Mess with a Cop: Ray Wilson favorite place to eat it is of course Evil Donuts and he is occasionally seen eating donuts.
  • Enemy Mine: On some occasions, he will team up with Angel Dust and Cazador to stop some bigger threat coming their way. Most notable when he showed up to help get rid of Mr. Fuzzy and the Angel Dust clone army.
  • Everything is Big in Texas: Comes from Texas and sports a heavy Texan accent.
  • Flaming Skulls: He has a skull head which lights on fire whenever he's angry.
  • Iron Butt Monkey: Isn't very lucky and tends to go through a lot of shit (being the butt of many jokes) yet he still keeps going and barely lets it bring him down, as he's always determined as ever.
  • Starter Villain: While he wasn't the first antagonist encountered in the storyline, he was the first antagonist faced with when Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly, so he falls into this.
  • Sympathetic Inspector Antagonist: He originally was the Inspector Javert but more recent appearances, he has become this. He's extremely devoted to his job, but at the same time there are certain lines he won't cross.
  • Unfortunate Names: The reason he goes by the name he had in life as opposed to going by his demon name? Because his real demon name is "Officer Bonehead". He HATES that name, so he just prefers to be called by his human name.
  • Unknown Rival: Considers Angel Dust to be his chief rival, is constantly in pursuit of him, believes Angel deserves to be in prison and looks forward to the day he can get to bust him. Angel Dust meanwhile doesn't tend to think much of Ray Wilson and the times he does interact with him, Angel doesn't take him very seriously.

    Detective Mike Smackey

Mike Smackey

A former Sector Patrol detective and all around scumbag.
  • Bigot with a Badge: Smackey absolutely hates sinners... Not that it stops him coming down hard on Hellborn when he has to.
  • The Bully: He is this to everybody, up to forcing his partner to get involved in his zany antics
  • Dirty Cop: Detective Smackey is introduced cutting a deal with a drug dealer. He later goes on to torture suspects and attempts to bait the Hellraiser family into doing something he could arrest them for.
  • Police Procedural: Many of the R Ps in which he appeared have been styled in this way
  • Rabid Cop: It got so insane that several other cops got together to send him a car bomb.
  • Sadist: Smackey takes great pleasure of hurting his suspects when they are in no position to do anything about it
  • Wicked Cultured: Smackey has this in spades, enjoying jazz, fine whiskey, cigars, and literature.

Xibalba Sector Patrol Division

    Comandante Matanza

Comandante Matanza

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/commandante_matanza.jpg
"¡ABRAN FUEGO!"
A vicious thorny devil Sinner and is the second-in-command of Xibalba's Sector Patrol, acting as El Condor's right hand man.
  • The Brute: His defining personality trait and brutally enforces El Condor's laws.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Absolutely loves dishing these out as much as he loves performing executions.
  • Dirty Cop: Claims to be just doing his job, but it's clear he gets a kick out of doing executions and seems to be more into his job for the killings rather than actually serving any justice.
  • The Dragon: Serves as El Condor's right hand man and is just as ruthless as him.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Speaks in a husky, deep and rapsy voice with a Spanish accent.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Much like his boss, Matanza is very serious and doesn't have any comical elements to him. He is straight up malicious.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: His name in Spanish translates to "Commander Bloodbath".
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Is a thorny devil demon and is incredibly vile and barbaric.

The Novichok Bar

A popular bar in Pentagram City, run by the lovely but deadly Elena Novikova.
    Elena Novikova

Elena Novikova

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elena_23.jpg
"'Till next time."
A pink, no-nonsense mob boss demoness who founded and owns the Novichok Bar.
  • Action Girl: She is most definitely this trope for being a mob boss and the one of her crew who gets into the most fights, possessing several effective firearms, and whenever in combat she typically comes up out on top and winning.
  • Bad Boss: Downplayed, as she gets along well with her crew pretty nicely and treats them alright, however she has a tendency to underpay them; as Halifa would attest to.
  • The Bartender: Is the bartender of the Novichok Bar and is typically stationed at the bar. Although, she does more than stay at the bar of course.
  • Cartoon Creature: Unlike most of her crew and other demons, it's not entirely clear 100% what is Elena's motif, other than she is vaguely reptilian humanoid in appearance. The most popular guess is that she is a chameleon.
  • Cool Mask: Elena Novikova also possesses a red, intimidated crimson skull mask that she can put on. It's literally called "The Crimson Skull".
  • Even Evil Has Standards: While Elena Novikova is a tough as nails and ruthless mob boss and bar owner, even she didn't approve of Ghari trying to kill his father Cazador in the middle of her bar. She also points out how weak his motivation is when her father wasn't good to her either, yet she isn't trying to do what he was doing either.
  • Femme Fatalons: Has long, sharp blue finger nails that also double as claws.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Calls out Ghari on this after when he claims that Cazador abandoned the family and was a cartel boss thus meaning he's evil, Elena points out how her father was too and yet she doesn't use that an excuse to go all psycho.
  • Hired Guns: Is a mercenary and also leads a group of fellow mercs as well.
  • Odd Friendship: Has a fairly nice friendship with Carmilla Carmine, the Overlord of the Black Market. Doesn't stop the two from getting along together.
    • Her relationship with Ghari can also be considered one, as Ghari supports redemption and lives at the Hotel while Elena doesn't care for it and strives for violence.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Zig-zagged, Elena's skin color is pink and she is female, but isn't very cutesy and is as violent and calculating as any other crime boss you'd expect to find in Hell.
  • Sensual Slavs: Is Ukranian and is pretty attractive.

    Halifax

Halifax

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/halifax_4.jpg
"Piss off!"
A heavily armored, really tall, brutish British sinner who serves as Elena's underpaid bodyguard.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Is Elena's bodyguard and and protects her, even if she is capable of wiping the floor with several other demons herself.
  • Happiness in Minimum Wage: Doesn't get paid very much but he doesn't seem to care much as he loves to fight (which happen a lot at the Novichok Bar).
  • Hired Guns: Began using his gadgets and medical implants to become one in Hell.
  • Innate Night Vision: Halifax has night vision and can see in the dark naturally.
  • London Gangster: Hails from London and lived a life of crime doing hits.
  • Those Two Guys: Is often seen working with Grayson the janitor.
  • Walking Tank: Quite literally, as he is a tank demon.

    Misha

Misha

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/misha_29.jpg
"And then I'll grow yer arse's arse and I'm the grass man, punk."
An employee of Elena's who is perpetually drunk.
  • The Alcoholic: Is just about always drunk. Justified, as alcohol is what powers him up to be better at combat and actually makes him stronger.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Seems like your standard drunken buffoon however he actually is empowered by the alcohol and is fully capable of kicking all sorts of ass.
  • Horned Humanoid: Is a horned demon (possibly a bison demon), sporting two very large and durable horns.
  • Vodka Drunkenski: Is Russian and is perpetually drunk.

    Grayson

Grayson

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grayson_1.jpg
"Oh, bollocks."
A gas masked demon who served in WWI. Works as the janitor at the Novichok Bar.
  • Berserk Button: He absolutely hates it when someone farts.
  • Cool Mask: Grayson's mask is that of a WWI British soldier gas mask. Ziz-zagged however, as that mask is actually Grayson's face.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Grayson is pretty silly and is almost always seen doing something really wacky and surreal.
  • Crusty Caretaker: Averted. Grayson is a janitor but he's not particularly cranky.
  • Expressive Mask: His mask constantly makes a lot of expressions. Justified, as that mask actually is his face.
  • Neat Freak: Likes things to stay clean and is almost always seen cleaning.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Possibly. Grayson served in WWI and doesn't appear to be quite right in the head, but it's hard to tell if he got it from serving his time in the war or he's just simply always been that way.
  • Those Two Guys: Is usually seen working along with Halifax.

666 News

Pentagram City's premier news outlet.

    Katie Killjoy

Katie Killjoy

The pompous and callous newscaster of 666 News and treats everyone (and we mean everyone) like trash.

  • All Love Is Unrequited: Katie Killjoy is aware that Steve Stinger has the hots for her, but she doesn't care and has even killed him a few times (not that he ever takes the hint).
  • A Day in the Limelight: Katie Killjoy got a few R Ps dedicated to herself, most notably the one where she killed Fitz who annoyed him.
  • Demoted to Extra: Starting Season 4, Katie Killjoy considerably gets less appearances.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Is prone to this. One time she killed Fitz when he was simply annoying her and another time she beat up Steve Stinger and Jack Ass for "ruining the shot".
  • Kent Brockman News: Shares this with Tom Trench, of course.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Averted. In Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly, Katie Killjoy retains her original voice as provided by Faye Mata (as in headcanon voice, as it is still a roleplay server) chiefly due to the fact Lucifer's Folly came out a few years before the main show did and also because both the roleplayer and most members of the site disliked the new voice for Katie Killjoy in the show.

    Tom Trench

Tom Trench

A gas-masked demon and Katie Killjoy's co-anchor.

  • The Alcoholic: Is strongly implied to be this, as his earlier appearances had him frequent bars and even to this day he always comments that he needs a drink when something bad happens.
  • Butt-Monkey: Not as often as Steve Stinger or Jack Ass, but he's often the receiving end at times.
  • Demoted to Extra: Like with Katie, starting with Season 4 Tom Trnech considerably gets less appearances.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: When Tom Trench first appeared in RP, he actually showed interest in joining and redeeming at the Hazbin Hotel. Subsequent later appearances and later portrayals later ignored this completely.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even he doesn't like or get along with Steve Stinger, finding him to be an annoying and unfunny jackass.
  • Kent Brockman News: Shares this with Katie Killjoy, of course.

    Steve Stinger

Steve Stinger

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/steve_stinger.jpg
"Laugh at me!"
A wasp Sinner with a seemingly cheery and happy-go-lucky personality but in reality is a pretty unhinged madman, Steve Stinger is the late night show host of What's the Buzz? With Steve Stinger and one of 666 News's regular hosts.
  • Alliterative Name: Both his first and last name start with an "S".
  • Animal Motifs: Is clearly based on a wasp, with his wings and thorax being very clear indicators of this. He even comes with a stinger that can inject eggs into, disturbingly enough.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Has a deadly stinger on his thorax that he can use to inject his eggs that eventually hatch into his parasitic offspring inside other demons.
  • Creepy Crossdresser: When he dresses up like Katie Killjoy and starts acting like her (even insulting and berating himself like she would do to him), yeah he qualifies as this big time.
  • Driven to Suicide: Kills himself off at the end of every show of his.
  • Excited Kids' Show Host: While he doesn't host any kids shows (nor is he in one), he definitely this trope to a T with just how bonkers he is.
  • Face Full of Alien Wing-Wong: Hasn't been shown yet, but is strongly to have occurred to at least several demons, given many have accused him of doing this to them.
  • Jerkass: Second only to Katie Killjoy in regards to this out of all of the 666 News members. Off-camera he is shown to be hostile, rude, talks over guests at times, impatient and condescending to his co-workers such as Tom Trench and Jack Ass.
  • Large Ham: He's constantly hamming it up both on-camera and off of it.
  • The Mentally Disturbed: It's not clear what exactly what mental disorder he appears to suffer from, but he clearly takes humor in things that aren't usually considered very funny and seems to enjoy dying and receiving humiliation constantly. He clearly needs help.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: In addition to being a creep, Steve Stinger is also shown to make a lot of edgy, low-brow jokes at other people of different races with Asians being his most frequent target. Somewhat justified in the fact that the died in the 1980's, a time back when late night show hosts like him could get as edgy and politically incorrect as they wanted.
  • Stalker with a Crush: While they occasionally work together, Steve Stinger harbors a very high opinion of Katie Killjoy and loves her a lot, even though it's pretty obvious that Katie Killjoy isn't interested in him and thus doesn't return the favor. Either he doesn't seem to be aware of this or he ignores her demands, either way he goes about it in a really creepy way. Adding to this is that he claims to a similar dress and wig like Katie Killjoy and sometimes dresses up as her for his own joy.
  • Stepford Smiler: Is almost always smugly grinning and smiling and seems to be ridiculously happy, but he also constantly commits suicide.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Dies at the end of almost every appearance but comes back fine the next episode as if nothing ever happened. Justified, as he's a Sinner and can respawn later, but still he dies more often than any other demon in Lucifer's Folly.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Even when he's not trying to intentionally kill himself Steve Stinger is always putting himself in harm's way and making stupid decisions that not only put him in a dangerous position, but could have also been easily avoided. It's no surprise he winds up dead a lot of the time.
  • Wicked Wasps: He's a mentally disturbed Jerkass late night show host whose demonic appearance is that of a humanoid wasp.

    Jack Ass

Jack Ass

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jack_ass.jpg
"THIS IS JACK ASS, BRINGING YOU THE LATEST SCOOP!"
A literal butt demon and a reporter who works for 666 News.
  • Asshole Victim: Whenever something bad happens to him, he almost always deserves it.
  • Butt-Monkey: Quite literally (as he's an ass demon), as he suffers just as much as Steve Stinger in his appearances.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: Well, to call Jack Ass "hypercompetent" is a bit of a stretch but compared to Steve Stinger, Jack Ass is much more level-headed. He also is quite literally Steve Stinger's sidekick as he acts as one for his late night show.
  • Immoral Journalist: Acts as a reporter for 666 News, but it's mainly just gossip and scandals. He even admits to occasionally making stuff up in order to get stuff on the front page and is very inconsiderate to the subjects he's reporting on.
  • Punny Name: He's a jackass whose a literal ass. And his name is Jack.
  • Shout-Out: Jack Ass is an homage to The Judge's buutocks appearance from The Wall.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Tends to die in just about every appearance (along with Steve Stinger).

Hell

The people of hell who are not affiliated with the Hotel. They include those born in Hell and sinners who, for whatever reason, do not believe or care about Charlie's plans for redemption.

    Carla Garcia-Lopez

Carla Garcia-Lopez

A former soldier of Xibalba's Sector Patrol who deserted and crossed the border into Pentagram City.
  • Action Girl: She has returned to Xibalba twice, and both times landed her in deep shit.
  • Criminal Found Family: Formed one with former human trafficker Francisco Guzman. After fighting in the rebellion in Xibalba, Guzman adopted her as his daughter
  • Drugs Are Bad: Thoroughly averted. After losing her wings and living on the streets, a thorough combination of cheap weed and god knows what else were the only thing keeping Carrie going
  • Really 700 Years Old: Downplayed. As a winged panther demon, Carrie has quite the long lifespan. She's 80, but still appears to be in her early 20s
  • Womanchild: Downplayed and deconstructed for drama. At the age of ten, Carrie watched Sector Patrol murder her parents before being forced to serve as a child soldier. Over the years, trauma and lack of any parental figures have caused her to still behave childishly in some ways.

    Gavin

Gavin

AKA: "The Puppet" and "Gavin the Menace"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/puppet_mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn.jpeg
"It's funnier when they scream!"

A killer puppet who has a reputation for annoying others.

  • Ax-Crazy: He doesn't wield an axe, but he makes up for it by carrying many knives, saws and scalpels. Not to mention, he is absolutely crazy.
  • Berserk Button: Hates it when people rely solely on guns, finding it to be not much fun and cowardly.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: His morality seems to be all over the place. At times, he appears to be very chaotic and likes to kill people and causing property damage, however he also will stick up and defend his friends from other evildoers and support them.
  • Doesn't Like Guns: Gavin really, really, really hates guns as he believes they've ruined the art of killing.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Originally Gavin sported a much more different design (which as described by Monokuma himself that he essentially looked like a "Halloween" version of Fizzarolli with an executioner hood on) and actually used to speak in a calm tone of voice. This appearance lasted only for a few R Ps before he then became the loveable psycho puppet that we know him best for today.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Gavin is a psychotic killer puppet who often kills for fun, but even he dislikes bigoted people (such as racists or homophobes). He was especially disgusted with John and Leon's bullying of other Hellborns and their crass comments.
    • As much as Gavin finds other people's misery funny, even he is repulsed by Vroomius Maximus. Likewise, Gavin has a hatred for Gus for what he did to Umbria in the past.
    • And of course, he HATES Gevaudan Silverwolf with a burning passion due to him having been a Bad Boss to Umbria.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Loved his grandmother dearly and he also has feelings for fellow killer doll Biss.
  • The Gadfly: Likes to provoke people a lot, especially if they're easily enraged.
  • The Hilarity of Hats: Gavin has amassed a collection of hats and helmets of people he's killed. Even after they respawn, Gavin refuses to hand them their hats back.
  • The Hyena: Is constantly laughing or cackling all the time.
  • Hidden Depths: Is a killer puppet, yet he strongly cares for the Beat Street Impz, Umbria and Biss.
  • Jerkass: Asides from being a killer puppet, he's really crass and vulgar and loves annoying people for the fun of it.
    • Jerk With A Heartof Gold: That said, Gavin surprisingly has a softer side to him. He genuinely loved his grandmother and is great friends with Umbria, Snowcone (who also resides at the hotel) and Pvt. Johner.
  • Large Ham: Oh boy, is he very hammy. He's easily the most hammy character within Umbria's circle which is really saying a lot.
  • The Napoleon: Downplayed as he is of average height, but out of Umbria's circle he is easily the shortest demon and also often dwarfed by his allies and enemies.
  • Odd Friendship: Is great friends with Snowcone, a fellow Sinner whose trying to redeem at the hotel and is a Nice Guy. Yet they get along just fine.
  • Pauper Patches: Is decked out in very raggedy patchwork clothing.
  • Pet the Dog: Has a few moments of these, most notably when he helped Toby get with Nightcore.
  • Serial Killer: Often kills. Sometimes he'll do it for profit, but their are plenty of times he'll just do it for the fun of it.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Is the most psychotic and violent of Umbria's circle as he resorts to violence and killing quickly.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Downplayed, but Gavin has actually gotten somewhat nicer over time. He has helped Toby and Umbria out many times and also has gotten considerably less violent recently.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: In Hazbins Hell Hotel, Gavin tended to die a lot either due to him pissing someone off. In Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly, this gag has been mostly retired and seems to have been phased out as Gavin doesn't die much nowadays.
  • Troll: Loves to annoy and tease people for the fun of it.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: His friendship with Samantha in a nutshell.

    Bonny

Bonny

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bonny_04.jpg
"Yes boss!"
A really hyper bunny demoness who serves as Gevaudan's assistant.
  • Asian and Nerdy: Her nationality is Chinese and she is very intelligent (even moreso than Gevaudan himself).
  • Bad Boss: Was one in life and treated her employees like slaves.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Certainly comes off as this, despite her high intellect. She rarely sleeps, tends to speak in nonsense and also do nonsensical things that seem to only make sense to her.
  • Extreme Doormat: To Gevaudan and Gevaudan only.
  • Killer Rabbit: Obviously. She even has a large arsenal of weapons (most notably a cannon that looks like a carrot) that she can use to destroy her opponents with.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: Bonny is an evil bunny demoness who works under her equally as evil boss.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: Is far more intelligent than her boss is. The only things stopping her from being the boss is that she's ridiculously loyal to Gevaudan and she's also a bit of a nutcase.
  • Psycho Supporter: Largely supports Gevaudan because Bonny is absolutely bonkers.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Seems to like her boss Gevaudan a little too much and is constantly following him around, even when she's not needed.
  • Tunnel King: Bonny can burrow underground. In her first appearance she was seen burrowing out from the ground to meet up with Gevaudan.
  • White Bunny: Bonny is a white-colored bunny demoness.

    Froggy

Froggy

A demented little plush frog.
  • Ax-Crazy: He happily chats about anything and everything while butchering a victim
  • Cute Is Evil: Froggy is a little green plushy about the size of a basketball. He is also completely deranged and murderous
  • Killer Teddy Bear: Well, killer frog plush, but you get the point
  • Lethal Joke Character: Played straight. Subverted in that while he IS a joke character, he is played 100 percent seriously.
  • Living Toy: He's a walking, talking plushy.
  • Un-person: Played for laughs. Froggy has no backstory beyond "Deranged little frog."

    Maggie Hellraiser

Maggie Hellraiser

A young Loan Shark who came up to Pentagram City from Greed to seek her fortune.
  • Action Girl: Maggie is never afraid to get into fights and often does the dirty work herself.
  • Break the Cutie: Downplayed, but repeated exposure to the ugly side of her business has changed her a lot.
    • Played straight after she had to kill her uncle Paulie.
  • Character Development: Maggie joined mid Season 4 as a carefree adrenaline junkie trying to make it big in pentagram City. After the events of The Hellraisers, including her arrest by Detective Smackey, the death of her grandfather and the subsequent civil war in the family, which ended with her killing her uncle, she better understands the consequences of her actions. In addition, her marriage to Montgomery Python has calmed her down a lot, though she still likes to go a little wild from time to time.
  • Cool Car: Maggie's burnt-orange '69 Chevelle, built and suped-up in Hell.
  • Cool People Rebel Against Authority: She certainly views herself as this.
  • Cop Hater: Justified. Not only is she a criminal, but herself and many members of her family have been victimized by corrupt police like Sector Force in the past.
    • "And Frank... he still won't talk about what they did to him..."
  • Ethical Slut: She doesn't have a problem with sex, but she DOES have a problem with exploitation, assault, and predatory behavior.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Gangster: Despite being heavily entrenched in the mafia, Maggie is a good person and tries to use her place to do favors for her friends
  • Happily Married: Maggie loves Montgomery Python, and often remarks how lucky she is to have met him.
  • Loan Shark: Aside from literally being a shark and engaging in loan sharking on occasion, Maggie is a demon from Greed... also known as loan sharks.
  • The Mafia: Maggie's father recently became Da Boss, and, as of The Hellraisers, Mob politics have started causing a lot of trouble for her
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Downplayed with Monty Python; Monty is calmer and less involved in the action than Maggie is
  • Tank-Top Tomboy: Maggie may bare her midriff like it's going out of style, but she is far from feminine.

    Mr. Fuzzy

Mr. Fuzzy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_fuzzy.jpg
"I will kill the kids! ALL OF THEM!"
A demented, mentally ill Serial Killer demon wearing a rabbit mask that roams around Hell, killing children just like how he did in life.
  • Ax-Crazy: Anyone who goes around killing kids and leaving their heads around for people to collect as if they were Easter eggs on Easter speaks for itself.
  • Animal Motifs: Besides the mask, bunny slippers and bunny tail; Mr. Fuzzy also hops around and makes gnawing sounds akin to a real rabbit. He also eats vegetables only.
  • Child Hater: Hates children immensely, believing them to all be sick little monsters who deserve to be killed and slaughtered.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: A very dark and frightening example of such. He isn't crazy, he is very messed up in the head and mentally disturbed.
  • Creepy Monotone: Always speaks in a low, quiet and whispery tone of voice.
  • Freudian Excuse: The reason he hates and kills kids so much? It's because back when he was alive, he used to be a teacher who just wanted to educate and teach kids, but due to his meek and awkward personality; his students saw him as a boring, weak pushover and never took him seriously, even picking on him regularly. As a result, the school staff saw him as ineffective and promptly fired him, causing Mr. Fuzzy to lose the job he loved and had always wanted to get. Even worse, his old students would still come over to harass him at his house and because he couldn't make any money, his house became foreclosed. Already suffering from untreated mental illness at that point, Mr. Fuzzy finally snapped and decided from that day on that children were the monsters and began killing several out of revenge for what they did to him.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Originally was just an ordinary school teacher up until being routinely made fun of by his own students and being fired from the job he loved made him snap and go off the deep end.
  • Genre Refugee: Mr. Fuzzy is sticks out from the usual cast of characters in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly in that he seems like he'd fit more as a villain in a Slasher Movie than he does as a typical Hazbin Hotel character.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Unlike most villains of Lucifer's Folly, Mr. Fuzzy is played up 100% seriously and displays no comical elements, being depicted as a sick-minded and mentally ill Serial Killer who kills children. The RP he debuts in is considered one of the darkest R Ps ever done on Lucifer's Folly for this reason.
  • Malevolent Masked Man: Wears a cheerful and happy bunny mask but is depraved and sick-minded to the core.
  • The Mentally Disturbed: Mr. Fuzzy is unique in the sense that he appears to be genuinely insane and not at all mentally well, as opposed to being quirky.
  • Nightmare Face: His real face looks like a corpse and is even more frightening than his mask.
  • Sadist Teacher: Averted. He was a fairly nice teacher in life, but he was so meek and timid that he was easy to pick on. His own students had no respect for him. He only becomes sadist once he gets fired from said job.
  • Serial Killer: Goes around killing children occasionally, especially during Easter.
  • Split Personality: Suffers from this, to the point he considers himself to be two people in one body. "Charles" being his original, normal personality and "Mr. Fuzzy" being his unhinged, imaginative personality. Eventually later on his life and especially now in Hell, "Mr. Fuzzy" eventually became the more dominant one of the personalities, though "Charles" comes back every once and a while to try to stop himself from committing more crimes.
  • Teen Hater: In addition to children, Mr. Fuzzy hates teenagers as well.
  • Teleportation: It's more subtle, but he is capable of this as he was able to constantly appear all around Charlie and the Hotel gang.

    Scamley

Scamley

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scamley.png
"I-I tell you, this isn't a scam! I've seen the truth!"

An enigmatic, paranoic, and smarmy hermit who dedicates himself to reselling trash and bothering people at 3 AM on the phone to share his conspiracy theories. He made a deal with Mephistopheles, and managed to fool him using dark light and a store mannequin. However, his punishment's left his soul in pieces...

  • Conspiracy Theorist: Believes in a ton of conspiracy theories and has an endless list of his own conspiracy theories that he is a little too eager to share with others.
  • Characterization Marches On: Originally Scamley began as a full-blown Spamton expy, he has since become a more nuanced character who serves as a jab at telemarketing and conspiracy theorists).
  • Dirty Coward: When confronted with combat he is quick to flee and hide as opposed to standing and fighting.
  • Deal with the Devil: Made a deal with Mephistopheles before.
  • Dumpster Dive: Resides at a dumpster that also doubles as his own shopping stand.
  • Demonic Dummy: His body is actually a robotic shell. His appearance strongly bares a resemblance to a ventriloquist dummy.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Originally he went by the name of "Beelzebub" and then later "Mephistopheles" and was treated as being the real deal, up until the real Mephisto showed up. It was later hand waved that Scamley was a fake and was just impersonating Mephisto, but even so Scamley in his earlier appearances also used to be a LOT more threatening and even mind controlled Gavin and made him his slave for a short time (before Gavin was later freed), something that he hasn't done ever since.
  • Gag Nose: His nose is sharp enough to stab someone with.
  • Harmless Villain: Ultimately is this for the most part.
  • Hated by All: When you look like a decomposing wooden doll, are filled with festering bugs, and live in a dumpster, people have a hard time liking you. Not helped by Scamley being an annoying scammer who calls houses at 3 AM.
  • Meaningful Name: Is a Snake Oil Salesman who constantly scams people.
  • The Paranoiac: Is very paranoid.
  • Snake Oil Salesman: Is a very smarmy and obnoxious conman always trying to sell the oddest junk to people and will do his damndest to make it sound interesting enough to buy.
  • The Worm That Walks: Is actually a swarm of bugs inhabitating one body, with every bug being a piece of his soul.

    Fucko the Clown

Fucko the Clown

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fucko_the_clown.jpg
"FUCK YOU!"
A demon clown and one of Hell's most famous icons.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Implied to be the case with him.
  • Character Catchphrase: "FUCK YOU!"
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Most, if not all, of his dialogue consists of "FUCK YOU!" so naturally he falls into this.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Is implied to actually be this (and the imp form is meant to be a disguise) given how he can perform stuff no regular imp can do, but this hasn't ever been confirmed.
  • Jerkass: On his show, he likes to go around and yell "FUCK YOU!" at random people for no rhyme or reason. People love it though.
  • Healing Factor: Can regenerate instantly. This was demonstrated when he had his head shot off, only for it to regrow back to normal within seconds. This seems to further support evidence of him not really being an imp but actually some other unknown demonic entity posing as one.
  • The Hyena: Is constantly laughing and disturbingly cheery.
  • Mocky Mouse: Is basically seen as Hell's equivalent to Mickey and is beloved by many demons across Hell (including Angel Dust and Crymini, who are big fans of his).
  • Monster Clown: Duh.

    Montgomery "Monty" Python

Montygomery "Monty" Python

A talented Irish snake Sinner who is well known for being very strong. Is the husband of Maggie Hellraiser.

  • The Ace: Generally considered to be this by many Demon Wrestlers.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: The original Monty Python from Axel Gear's webcomics acted like a gentleman enough, however he had more mean streak to him and was friends with Arackniss and had no qualms with bullying Angel Dust. Here, he's an ally and friend of Angel Dust from the start and also is much kinder and warm-hearted.
  • Canon Immigrant: Is famously a character Axel Gear's webcomics and videos and was adapted here to be a major character.
  • Fighting Irish: Is a demon wrestler, is very strong and combat-heavy and also just so happens to be Irish.
  • Formerly Fit: Puts on a lot of weight and becomes monstrously obese after being defamed by Purr-Vert for a while. He eventually gets helped by Volk and loses weight, regaining his original physique upon getting his esteem and motivation back.
  • Formerly Fat: Becomes muscular and more athletic again after getting trained by Volk and gets back in shape in a few months.
  • In Touch with His Feminine Side: Ironically despite being very muscular and macho, Monty also has no qualms about showing off his more feminine side. He displays very feminine traits such as cooking and cleaning for his family and behaving like a mother to Jasper-Monty.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Downplayed with Monty Python; Monty is calmer and less involved in the action than Maggie is, but he's no less manly.
  • Nice Guy: Even when he was a small time Overlord, he still managed to be this. Monty Python is probably one of the nicest "street Sinners" one can find, being kind, cheerful and quite the gentleman.
  • Odd Friendship: Gets along with Gavin surprisingly well, despite his (initial) high status.
  • Papa Wolf: Loves his adopted son Jasper-Monty dearly and if the chance Jasper-Monty is ever threatened, Monty will come slithering in and begin kicking all kinds of ass (and get really violent about it) if anyone tries to lay a finger on him.
  • Punny Name: He's a python themed Sinner and his first name is "Monty".
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Is sometimes seen wearing pink (such as a pink apron) and cooks and cleans around the apartment room he, Maggie and Jasper-Monty live in.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Extremely averted; Monty Python is one of the nicest Sinners around.
  • Super-Strength: His most notable power. He's strong enough to tear down brick walls with his "Megaton Punch" fist attack and can fight off large amounts of demons all on his own at once with ease. Even Rift was scared to face him at first, which is why he required Purr-Vert to rig the fight for him.

    Purr-Vert

Purr-Vert

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/purr_vert.jpg
"Who wants this pussycat right here?"
An amoral cat Sinner whose a well known stripper and pornstar. Is a former ex-girlfriend of Cazador's and also one of his main enemies.
  • Asian Hooker Stereotype: Is Japanese-American and is a stripper.
  • Asshole Victim: Was an amoral, greedy, murderous and selfish stripper in life who tried to kill Cazador and take his money (and his truck) simply because she was getting bored of him. And it's implied she's done this to multiple of her other clients. Needless to say, she absolutely had it coming when she got shotgunned through the head by Cazador.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: She ultimately revels in being a bad girl and loves committing evil acts because it amuses her.
  • Cats Are Mean: One of the evilest characters in Lucifer's Folly and is cat-themed.
  • Dirty Coward: Rarely gets into fights and prefers to use underhanded and cheap tactics to win in combat because she lacks a spine and will flee if faced with someone who can actually fight against her.
  • Dreadful Musician: Purr-Vert is shown to be an extremely awful singer who despite being the Gevaudan's Palazzo lounge singer. Her singing is described as sounding more like pained screeching. The only reason she even got the job was because her connections to Gevaudan Silverwolf. That said, her performances are popular albeit for the wrong reason.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In her first appearance she was depicted as being more feral and more powerful, having a different skillset of powers and also sported a very different design. She also was actually willing to combat against her opponents and face them head on as opposed to be the Dirty Coward she's better known for being today. She also had a completely different accomplice named "Mencia" as opposed to Sparky Ka Boom.
  • Gold Digger: Her primary motivation for villainy. She was only interested in Cazador for his money and nothing else back when she was alive and he wasn't even the only case of such, she's implied to have robbed and killed many men before and did this.
  • Hated by All: No one seems to like her in-universe, with the only exceptions being Sparky Ka Boom (who mainly tolerates her), Rift and Gevaudan (who both have the hots for her).
  • Hate Sink: Unlike most villains, there's hardly anything to like about Purr-Vert, with her being this perverted, abusive, heartless, spineless, moronic, greedy and overall immoral hooker who kills her clients and is only motivated by money. Tellingly also, unlike most other villains in Lucifer's Folly, she's not even given a backstory or Freudian Excuse that explains why she is the way she is and is simply implied to have been a shitbag from day 1.
  • Inflating Body Gag: One of Purr-Vert's powers is that she can inflate random body parts of herself, with her favorite parts to inflate being her breasts, rear and stomach.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Purr-Vert has been known for being rather extremely racist, if her comments towards Basketive and Vroomius according to their Voxtagram posts are of any indication. She's even gotten banned from the platform multiple times because of it, which really says something given it's one of Hell's social media apps.
  • Really Gets Around: Has slept with a lot of men, the likes including Gevaudan, Valentino, Rift and even Cheepo.
  • Sexy Cat Person: Plays this trope to a T and is very attractive. However due to her absolutely abhorrent personality, this can make her Fan Disservice to some.
  • Shock and Awe: In her first appearance she was capable of firing out electricity from her claws. This seems to have either been forgotten or phased out in her later appearance, but then again Purr-Vert also isn't very bright.
  • Stupid Evil: Despite all of her talk, Purr-Vert is actually quite stupid and is shown to be a very incompetent villainess. Her plans are often poorly thought out and tend to be shortsighted at best, with not much thought going into them and assuming that they will just work. She also is prone to betraying allies constantly and piss off the wrong people.
  • Temporary Bulk Change: Can inflate herself to appear really chubby at times, but it's only ever temporary and she can control it. She can even weaponize it.
  • Too Dumb to Live: To suicidal levels. She flat out said to Cazador's face that she planned on killing him later on and fully expected him to not do anything about that. Guess what caused her death? Even in Hell she appears to have not learned anything, and proceeds to get herself thrown into many situations where she could have easily avoided trouble. It's really telling that Sparky Ka Boom is the one to have probably saved her the most.

    Sparky Ka Boom

Sparky Ka Boom

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sparky_kaboom.jpg
"DID SOMEONE SAY BOOM!?"
A Mad Bomber bomb-themed Sinner demon who likes to commit arson and is Purr-Vert's go-to henchman.
  • Action Bomb: Is capable of doing this, but by doing so it takes him a while to respawn.
  • Cartoon Bomb: What his demon motif is and what he resembles, even sporting a wick for hair.
  • Dumb Muscle: Carries out orders effectively and is great with explosives, even if he isn't very bright.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: When he first appeared on Hazbins Hell Hotel, he seemed to not possess his Bostonian accent he's best known for having and also didn't even seem to possess any powers beyond throwing bombs. In Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly proper, he is given more abilities.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Downplayed and ultimately more Played for Laughs but he finds Rift to be annoying and in the way, simply because he doesn't want him to destroy more stuff than him.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: Downplayed as he's a moron as well, but he appears to be far smarter than his superior Purr-Vert is, even coming up with most of the plans for her (even if she takes all the credit).
  • Out of Focus: While a major character in Season 2, he gets far less relevance come mid Season 3 and is largely absent in Season 4.
  • Psycho for Hire: Was hired by Gevaudan Silverwolf to destroy many rival company buildings and property and it's pretty obvious he enjoys his job.

    Flumbria

Flumbria

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flumbria.jpg
I'm about to go all "The Blob" on yer asses!!"
An evil clone of Umbria made up of slime and a recurring enemy. Is one of Gevaudan's top employers.
  • Anime Hair: Has light aqua colored hair.
  • Action Girl: Despite being an evil, fat clone of Umbria, she is still this.
  • Acid Attack: Flumbria can make her slime acidic at will. It seems she can control it, as there are plenty of times Navin goes into her but nothing bad happens to him.
  • Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: Although it could just be her shirt is too small for her.
  • Blob Monster: When she gets really big, she becomes this as she can eat everything in sight.
  • Deep South: Inexplicably speaks in a thick Southern accent. She also likes country music as well.
  • Dumbass No More: Used to be a moron, but as of late she appears to have gotten more intelligent which actually makes her more of a credible threat.
  • Extreme Omnivore: She can and will eat anything she sees.
  • Fat Bitch: A female example; Flumbria is an extremely overweight, gluttonous, rude and unpleasant bitch, being nothing like Umbria herself.
  • Fat and Proud: She's one of the fattest characters in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly around, yet she quite enjoys it.
  • Fat Slob: A rare female example; she is very fat and also lazy as well.
  • Jabba Table Manners: Her table manners are non-existent and always makes a mess.
  • Jerkass: Immensely so.
  • Kill It with Ice: How she was defeated in her first appearance and her one weakness; Flumbria is very weak to ice.
  • Happily Married: Surprisingly, she and Navin are married and get along very well together.
  • Monster Is a Mommy: Flumbria got pregnant upon being unthawed and later gave birth to another slime demoness known as "Shamantha", who is her and Navin's daughter.
  • Pregnant Badass: It was later revealed that she was pregnant with Shamantha during one of her fights with Umbria, effectively making her this.
  • Really Gets Around: Surprisingly, she really does get around, just as much as Umbria herself. Gevaudan and Navin have slept with her repeatedly and she does have a few male admirers.
  • Sizeshifter: Can change her size from normal to gigantic by consuming lots of food and people or objects. She can always shrink down at will, however.
  • Slime Girl: Another difference between her and Umbria; Flumbria is made up of slime instead of ink.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Huge Girl to Navin's Tiny Guy.
  • Villainous Glutton: Is very gluttonous and is constantly seen eating.
  • Your Size May Vary: Her size seems to keep changing even when not consuming more items in order to get bigger. Her default size appears to be 10 ft. tall, however.

    Chaz

Chazwick "Chaz" Thurman

A shark demon mafioso who was with both Moxxie and Millie at some point and tried to get with Moxxie again, only to fail and get killed by Crimson. However he later returned as a ghost and was then revived and now is a recurring nuisance in Hell.

  • Adaptational Wimp: Lacks many of the skills he canonically did.
  • Adaptational Dumbass: Not that he was ever bright before but in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly he's even stupider post-resurrection. Case in point, he can't even do basic math and believed the map to Hell was just a picture of someone's vomit on a big piece of lasagna. Though perhaps being revived did mess up his brain a bit.
  • Ascended Extra: Was just a one time character in canon, but in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly he becomes a recurring minor character who is the butt of many jokes.
  • Big Eater: Is shown to eat a lot, can eat multiple amounts of food and still be hungry for more.
  • Butt-Monkey: Nothing ever seems to go his way and he's constantly beaten up or clowned on, not that he doesn't deserve it.
  • Came Back Wrong: Possibly. While he looks and acts about the same upon being revived by Mephistopheles, he's even stupider now and now prone to harm. It could be that Mephistopheles had done something to him upon reviving him but it's unclear.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Believes himself to be Hell's greatest ladiesman (and mansman). He really isn't and gets rejected by just about everyone he tries to get to sleep with him.
  • Deal with the Devil: Made one with Mephistopheles. Though it got instantly revoked because he annoyed Mephistopheles that much.
  • Demonic Possession: As a demon ghost, he briefly possesses Loona and plans to do some unsavory things while in her body. He's promptly kicked out of her body and he doesn't even think about trying this again.
  • Flanderization: A case admitted by Gallibon, as he felt it was funnier to write him as an even bigger idiot.
  • Ghastly Ghost: Makes his first appearance in RP as a demon ghost in a Halloween RP. Yes somehow a Hellborn like him managed to become a ghost. How he was able to, it's never explained though that's part of the joke. In his second appearance he becomes full flesh and blood again upon being revived by Mephistopheles.
  • Hated by All: Just about everyone in-universe hates him, with the exception maybe of Glitz.
  • Shout-Out: When he's a ghost, he becomes a big eater, emits slime and is green colored, just like Slimer from Ghostbusters. He's even busted at the end of his debut.
  • Spared By Adaptation: Zig-zagged. At first he actually was killed off by Crimson like in canon, only then to then return as a ghost (somehow even though he's a Hellborn, don't ask how), only then to get defeated and sold off to Mephisto, only THEN to finally get revived into his current form.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Literally, as his stupidity is what caused him to get killed in the first place. Even upon being revived, he's shown to not have learned anything and appears to have gotten even dumber now if anything else.
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Turned out to be so annoying as a ghost, not even Mephistopheles wanted him around, which is why he revived him back as a normal shark demon just so that he couldn't bother him anymore.

    Machigai

Machigai

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/machigai.jpg
"yo yo yo yo whose this guy?
An unintelligent humanoid Sinner hobo that roams the streets. Tends to die a lot.
  • all lowercase letters: Speaks in this way, to better drive home the point that he's an idiot.
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • "yo yo yo whose this dude?"
    • Explaining his backstory all of the time, and commenting at the end at how "tragic" it is.
  • Flat Character: Not much to him other than being an annoying Jerkass hobo who likes to provoke people.
  • Intangibility: Is also capable of this, but doesn't seem to use it wisely either. It's also on a time limit, as he can only stay as such for a minute.
  • Jerkass: Likes to antagonize and provoke people for no rhyme or reason all of the time.
  • Killed Off for Real: He ends up getting purged by Jophiel during the Extermination Day of 2024 event.
  • Meaningful Name: His name means "mistake" in Japanese, which is very fitting for an annoying dumbass Sinner hobo like him.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Literally, there are many times where he could have easily avoided death but chose to continue being an idiot and put himself in further danger.
    • His entire backstory also revolved him committing petty thievery which could have easily been avoided entirely if he had just simply went back home and got his wallet then pay up but he seemed to believe that from then on he was a criminal for life and proceeded to keep digging himself in deeper and deeper holes until finally it got him killed.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Tends to die in almost every appearance, though their were some occasions where he didn't die (and even then, those were mostly due to the fact nobody bothered to kill him).
  • Vocal Dissonance: Has a very humanoid appearance and looks like a younger Jeff the Killer almost, but has a very low and deep voice.

    Cheepo

Cheepo "Tightwad" Cheepnis

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cheepo_9.jpg
"I like cheap things!"
An imp hitman who is very cheap and likes to steal cheap things.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Despite not being very menacing as a villain, Cheepo is quite proud of his villainy. This trope is also quite literal in his case, as he even has a card to showcase that he qualifies as a "Professional Villain".
  • Character Catchphrase: Seems to say "I like cheap things!" a lot.
  • Cheap Costume: Quite literally, he stole it from a thrift store (as he wanted the cheapest costume there while becoming a villain).
  • Dastardly Whiplash: Doesn't have a mustache but he's got a wicked hat, hair and overall appearance similar to one. His crimes aren't even that heinous and yet he always acts as if he's committing the worst crimes imaginable.
  • Harmless Villain: Is easily one of the least threatening villains in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly to date.
  • Large Ham: Acts like a Saturday morning cartoon villain from the 60's and goes full ham with it.
  • Laughably Evil: He's one of the the least menacing villains in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly to date and is totally hilarious.
  • Poke the Poodle: Does this a lot and this what his evil amounts to. I mean seriously, what's stealing Hell's largest fake diamond going to do?
  • "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: Was responsible for one during one Halloween RP that was spoofing Scooby-Doo, in where he disguised himself as a ghost to haunt his family mansion to keep people away from buying it. Why? Because it had a very small amount of quarters down in the basement.

    Jacob the Cat Demon

Jacob the Cat Demon

A black cat-like demon made of liquid. Was once a serial killer in life. He was the main antagonist of the Saturday arc and was Angel Dust's first archenemy encountered in RP.

  • Arc Villain: Is the main villain of the Saturday plot. What's also notable is that he's technically the first arc villain to appear in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly (albeit only by counting the fact the first two seasons were partially done at Hazbins Hell Hotel before then moving onto it's own server.) He doesn't last long though.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Him repeatedly insulting and picking a fight with Alastor was him practically begging to be killed. And guess what; he does.
  • The Bully: Loves to repeatedly pick on people when their down (especially Angel Dust) and cause suffering because it amuses him.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Blatantly gloats about how evil he is and how much he loves doing awful things.
  • Cats Are Mean: Is a cat-themed Sinner and is really evil.
  • Evil Is Petty: Oh yeah. This guy is easily one of the most petty antagonists in Lucifer's Folly to date. His whole reason for starting a whole feud with Angel Dust? Because he actually wanted bacon.
  • I Have Your Wife: Kidnaps Fat Nuggets briefly at one point to threaten Angel Dust to fork him over some money.
  • Healing Factor: Can instantly heal and regenerate upon being slashed, stabbed, shot at or beaten.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted, their is another, more popular character also named Jacob. To differiante him from the normal Jacob, he's specifically referred to as "The Cat Demon".
  • Paper Tiger: Despite all of his talk, he goes down easily rather quickly in combat. He's not even really much of a threat in the grand scheme of things, it's just more that he's a pain in the ass. Though that said him trying to eat Fat Nuggets was a serious deal, given Fat Nuggets can't really defend himself.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Swears constantly, even moreso than the average demon which says a lot.
  • Starter Villain: Barring Jack the Ripper before him, Jacob the Cat Demon was the first real serious threat that Angel Dust and Co. faced, making him technically the first antagonist to be faced with in Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly continunity wise.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: It turns out his one weakness is water.
  • Whatever Happened to the Mouse?: Completely disappears after Season 1. While his main arc was completed, his final appearance teased that he'd return again, of which he didn't.

    Jack the Ripper

Jack the Ripper

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jack_the_ripper_9.jpg
"I will KNIFE you."
THE one and only Jack the Ripper himself. A famous serial killer who roamed and killed in London back in the late 1880's, Jack the Ripper now resides in Hell.
  • Aborted Arc: His plan to takeover the Hotel and fight Alastor never went anywhere as Jack the Ripper soon just disappears from the Hotel entirely after his first few appearances there. In-universe, the reason for Jack the Ripper's disappearance could be explained that Charlie and Vaggie caught on to what he was trying to do and promptly booted him out of there. Out of universe, the more mundane explanation was simply that the character was dropped at the time.
  • The Bus Came Back: After being absent since mid Season 1, Jack the Ripper finally returns in Season 4, appearing along with fellow enigmatic serial killer Zodiac Killer.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Jack the Ripper was pretty much a different character when he first appeared. Initially he was depicted as being much more cunning and ruthless, as well as being a patient of the Hotel (of course he had ulterior motives from within) and sported a different design. This is all because Jack the Ripper was initially played by someone else until their performer was dropped from Hazbins Hell Hotel and Jack the Ripper would be absent entirely until he was brought back of sorts in Season 4.
  • Historical Domain Character:
  • Those Two Guys: Is often seen hanging around with the Zodiac Killer.
  • You Don't Look Like You: When he returns in Season 4, he sports a similar appearance to what he originally had but it's very different still (mainly in terms of colors and the face). He could be considered a different character even if it wasn't for the fact Cazador recognizes him, indicating that they are meant to be one and the same.

    Rudy

Rudy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rudy_56.jpg
"I'm gonna beat your ass!"
A foul mouthed duck demon bully who has a bone to pick with Cazador.
  • The Bully: Was one in life to Cazador and continues to be one in Hell.
  • The Dreaded: Was so terrible that he manages to scare Cazador (at first).
  • Flight: Is capable of flight.
  • Foul Waterfowl: Is an aggressive duck demon that likes to beat the snot out of people.
  • For the Evulz: Bullies and antagonizes people solely solely for the reason of "just because".
  • The Napoleon: Is pretty short, being only 3 ft. tall. Doesn't make him any less of a threat.
  • Super-Strength: Another reason Cazador was scared of him at first, Rudy was strong enough to demolish a building by simply punching it.
  • Toothy Bird: Despite being a duck demon, he has prominent sharp teeth.
  • The Worf Effect: When Rudy was initially introduced, he was depicted as a nigh-unstoppable, super strong powerhouse that even Cazador was too scared to face. Once Cazador managed to conquer his fear of Rudy and defeated him via frying him his fire breath, Rudy's later appearances would have him being more easily defeated.

    Top Hat Demon

Top Hat Demon

A Sinner who resembles an old timey cartoon from the 1930's and is also a top hat demon (I mean, it's in the name). Tends to show up a lot solely to say "Wow, that was shit!"

  • Ascended Extra: Was originally simply a background demon from the Hazbin Hotel pilot, now is a now a recurring character albeit more of a Recurring Extra type.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Wow, that was shit!"
  • Inkblot Cartoon Style: Resembles one.
  • No Name Given: Even in Lucifer's Folly (a vast RP server based on Hazbin Hotel), he still doesn't have a name. Although according to Umbria, his name might be "Milt".
  • Recurring Extra: Often shows up in the background and only comes out to declare something being shit.
  • Running Gag: Him always popping up to say something was shit.

    Thief Demon

Thief Demon

A big-nosed Sinner who always tries to steal from people, especially Angel Dust.

  • Ascended Extra: Like the Top Hat Demon, he was originally simply a background demon from the Hazbin Hotel pilot, now is a now a recurring character albeit more of a Recurring Extra type.
  • Butt-Monkey: Tends to get hurt or killed a lot depending on his situation.
  • No Name Given: Even in Lucifer's Folly (a vast RP server based on Hazbin Hotel), he still doesn't have a name.
  • Out of Focus: Stopped appearing sometime after during Season 2 for a while but has recently come back in late Season 4 when he was trying to arm-wrestle with Misha.
  • Recurring Extra: Often shows up in the background and tries to steal from people, typically someone a lot stronger than him. It never goes well.
  • Running Gag: Him always trying to steal from people only to get killed or maimed for his troubles.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: In one RP, Gavin actually felt some pity for the thief demon and gave him a new knife that he could use to be more effective with. The thief demon thanked Gavin and proceeded to rob and stab some other demon guy to steal his money. It appears the thief demon has kept the same knife Gavin has given to him since still as well.

Heaven

    Amp

Amp

  • Author Appeal: Motorcycles, big guns, and Heavy Metal? Yeah, she's just one mafia short of ticking all of Henry's character boxes.
  • Unfortunate Names: Her real name is Orgazma. She really, REALLY prefers being called Amp.
