WMG / Super Robot Wars X

Go To

Very close tie-ins between Code Geass and Cross Ange.
  • The Holy Britannian Empire and Misurugi Empire are one and the same.
    • Fantastic Racism? Check. Purple colors and European influences? Check. Exiled royals become their sole destroyer? Check.
    • The fact Julio is a nastier Expy of Clovis doesn't help either.
    • And perhaps once Lelouch takes power as Emperor, Ange becomes his Empress.
      • Partly confirmed. Misurugi is its own state, but they behave very much like Britannia. Plus, Marianne and Embryo do work together.
  • Nunally or Lelouch will be the ones to snap Sylvia out of her spoilage. Jossed, it's Aura who convinces her to stand up on her own.
  • Zero's persona attracts the whole Arzenal staff.
  • Kallen and Hilda will become Smash Sisters.
  • Ange's own parents would be part of Charles' Assimilation Plot, in a case of Adaptational Villainy.
    • Or maybe they were removed for opposing it.
  • Confirmed when Lelouch comes back as Zero. He and Ange constantly work together, starting with their initial plan to rescue Sylvia. Also, the Misuguri Empire plays an Expy to the Britannia with its European themes, inhumane discrimination, and military ambitions.

A battle between the titular Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the Mazinger Zero.
  • The battle will attract the Anti-Spirals. Or worse, Spiral Nemesis.
    • Confirmed! Though ZERO starts off farther than where Granzeboma starts at. And the reverse happens as Mazinger ZERO decided to pop by while the battle against the Anti Spiral is going on.

Mazinger Zero is either a symptom of the Spiral Nemesis
... or its Anthropomorphic Personification.

The Norma are supposed to be agents of the Anti-Spirals.
  • The fact they're exposed to a society "drunk on Spiral Power" doesn't help.

Mazinger Zero will not be a playable unit
  • Judging by the first teaser, which showed Mazinger Zero as an enemy unit, it's possible that the game will follow the plot of Shin Mazinger Zero closer than V did. Because of this, Koji will possibly get Mazinkaiser as his Mid-Season Upgrade this time rather than Zero.
    • Or else, Mazinger Zero is a secret unit, and once unlocked, you can choose to stick Boss or Sayaka into Mazinkaiser, instead.
      • Confirmed in that Mazinger ZERO is indeed a secret unit but only for Koji.

Much like in V, there will be multiple worlds.

Fantasy World Franchises:

  • Dunbine
    • If this screenshot is of any indication, Byston Well is separate from Al-Warth.
  • Wataru
  • Code Geass
    • Jossed. It's from the same universe as Dunbine and shares its surface world, along with Daitarn 3 and Gundam Wing.
  • Cross Ange
    • Confirmed. The Empire of Misurugi is on the opposite side of Soukaizan.
  • Massou Kisshin
  • Nadia
    • Seemingly confirmed in the same interview.
      • The altered plot for this game plays with this. Jean and the Grandis Gang are from their own Earth but the Atlanteans were originally from Al-Warth. Though about half of the anime's events now takes place in Al-Warth, their finale still happens in their Earth's 19th century Paris.

Universal Century World

  • Gundam U.C.
  • Gundam A.C
  • Mazinger
    • Jossed for everything that isn't from the canonical U.C. and its distant future, the Regild Century.

Reguild Century World

  • Gundam Reconguista in G
  • Buddy Complex
    • Not looking likely, as the above interview seems to state that the future Earth is a part of Al-Warth, despite being more suited for a Gundam setting and not being fantasy-like in the slightest.
      • In spite of what the interview implied, it's not part of Al-Warth and is actually the most disjointed from the other entries, not counting Masou Kishin, as they don't share the world they've come from with any other entry, nor does it have any character to be revealed to have originally come from Al-Warth, unlike Nadia.
  • Daitarn 3
  • The Brave Express Might Gaine
  • Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Much like what happened with Super Robot Wars Impact and Super Robot Wars MX, this title was originally meant to be a sequel to Super Robot Wars V

There are enough returning series from that game, and the new series added to it, to suggest that the storylines were originally linked, with the addition of two new convergence worlds (the fantasy world and the Reguild Century World) to move the storyline along.

Evidence for this includes:

  • The Mazinkaiser uses the image of the Super Robot Wars Alpha design but is, in fact, the prototype of Emperor G, a-la the OVA.
  • While Catherine Vuitton is now behind bars and Shogun Mifune is stranded in the Large Magellanic Cloud, that still leaves Professor Wolfgang and Hoi Kuo Loon still at large.
    • Hoi reformed in a DLC stage, and the rest of the Mightgaine villains are pretty much just comic relief without Black Noire behind them.
  • There is s two year time skip between Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Space Battleship Yamato 2202, while the titular battleship is in drydock undergoing repairs and refit. Plenty of reason to keep them out of this particular adventure.
    • ...If you completely ignore the radical changes to Yamato's world after they activated the Cosmo Reverse and made peace with the Gamillas, that is. The Gamillas not appearing can be handwaved as Earth still working things out with them diplomatically, but it would feel extremely convoluted if absolutely nobody mentions the Yamato after it saved the world previously. And they obviously can't just ignore the NCC world, since that's where the Banpresto Originals came from.
  • The possibility exists for a Happy Ending Override of Sylvia's rule by folks trying to restore the Mana system. And while Aura may now be off-limits, the new fantasy world might look like a fairly juicy target.
  • There is a Time Skip of at least ten years between the events of the Shin Getter Robo Manga and Getter Robo Arc. Plenty of reason to keep both (and eventually all three) teams out of this adventure.
    • ...What manga? V used Getter Robo Armageddon, which has absolutely nothing to do with the manga. (Also you got the manga continuity wrong too, Getter Robo Go is the sequel to the Shin Getter manga, and Arc is the sequel to that.)
  • Several couples (like Akito and Yurika and Sousuke and Kaname, as well as the Zambot 3 team want to live out their respective happy endings, and so would be rather reluctant to return to the cockpit/bridge. Kira, Athrun, and Setsuna in particular are probably preparing to enter politics in the Anno Domini universe. It isn't even beyond the realm possibility that Ruri and the Nadesico C have been pressed into service for in-system patrols until the Yamato is fit for duty again.
    • Doesn't seem likely, considering V was intended to be standalone from the start.
      • That and Ange was killing dragons all over again which wouldn't make any sense since she shouldn't be killing any more dragons. That and she's back to her blue short-haired outfit while V ended with her hair longer wearing her white suit.
      • I did say "originally," did I not? I'm certain they've already changed the writing direction to something different a long time ago. That said, don't Dunbine and Wateru also have dragons in them? (Though I do admit those creatures Ange is facing are clearly Cross Ange dragons.)
Cybuster will gain its Possession Mode in this game to tease players when the Super Mode arrives in the Original Generation timeline.
Because why not.
  • Jossed.

The reason why everyone is at Al-Warth is that the Vilkiss and Enryuugo's Space-Time Convergence Cannons collided with each other alongside the Time Travel plot of Buddy Complex.
  • Confirmed!

Some of the 1st Squad will be demoted as extra attacks for other characters.
Let's be honest, no one wants another full roster whose attacks are just carbon copies of each other and that V ended up being "Vilkiss and those girls".
  • Very unlikely since the game is going to incorporate two songs from the anime, one seeming to be specifically for the Vilkiss. Therefore, there will be more than just the Vilkiss who will be playable.
    • Also, Gundam 00, Destiny and UC are gone, meaning there's a huge space in the roster left by the units from those series that needs to be filled, so I believe that not only will the Cross Ange characters not be demoted, but there may actually be more of them (i.e. The other Ryuushinkis, who were Dummied Out in V).
  • Jossed. All of the 1st Squad are confirmed.

Nadia will see both Simon and Nia as older siblings.
Just so we have more Gainax character interactions.
  • Nadia's Blue Water is the reason Nia's alive. So confirmed?

The Aurora will be a playable unit.
It was Adapted Out in V only because the Tautha de Dannan was already an extremely close equivalent. Besides the Nadia, Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren, and various ships from Gundam, there isn't too much of a reason not to include it.
  • Unfortunately, jossed.

Simon the Digger will give Ange and some of the Norma the most epic bright slap to the face.
  • Simon the Digger has suffered just as much hardship as Ange ever did, if not more. The only difference is that he held his faith in humanity while Ange completely gave up on it. By giving her and those who mistreated her a beating, will they understand their mistakes.

DLC Content will include:

Lordgenome and Embryo are close acquaintances.
Both are master geneticists who are rulers of their respective empires (Beastemen, Mana) and lived for more than 1000 years. They used to be idealists who believed in humanity and fought for justice until the Anti-Spirals showed up and drove both of them across the Despair Event Horizon, turning them into tyrants who lust over women. Lordgenome managed to hold together somewhat for he wanted to keep humanity protected, but Embryo was utterly broken and created a twisted form of humanity with (fake) Spiral Power/Mana.
  • Lordgenome's extermination of humans could have prompted Embryo into creating the World of Mana where its people are supposed to have more freedom than the old Earth he was from. Also, "Embryo" fits with the Theme Naming of Lordgenome, the Four Supreme Generals, and Viral with names that are based on terms in genetics.

Don Sauzer will appear late in the game.
Possibly as one of the end-game bosses.
  • Not very likely considering Daitarn 3 was fighting a Might Gaine enemy in the trailer, so it seems like this is going to be YET ANOTHER post-series entry for Daitarn 3.
    • ...Or is it? Early info seems to indicate that Banjo got summoned into Al Warth during his final battle with Don Sauzer, so while the Meganoids are most likely gone for good, Don Sauzer himself may still be a boss.
    • Jossed yet again as Daitarn 3 is post plot.

Having Duo Maxwell battle Embryo will result in some shout-out to Kamen Rider Den-O
It would be a perfect case of Acting for Two combined with Actor Allusion - obviously, having one of the two possessed by Momotaros is out of the question (since that would require Den-O to be part of the game), but maybe perhaps one of them will reference some dialogue by him (i.e., skipping the number 4, saying his catchphrase).
  • They do have quotes with one another, but no Kamen Rider Den-O shout outs so the WMG is jossed.

Emperor Julio will be a boss.
When fighting him, he will be operating in an aircraft carrier like in the anime.
  • And to top it off, you have a chance to finish him off instead of Embryo.
  • Seems unlikely, since conventional military vehicles very rarely show up in SRW. Case in point, the JSSDF attack on Nerv from End of Evangelion. Whenever that scene is adapted into SRW, the VTOLs and tanks always turn into mobile suits or metal armors.
    • Jossed.

The Extradimensional Labyrinth will appear to trap the heroes in.
And following dream sequences will include (not counting Gurren Lagann):
  • Code Geass:
    • Lelouch: Seeing Britannia burn, and Nunally being safe and happy around him.
    • Suzaku: reuniting with Euphemia.
  • Cross Ange:
    • Ange: Her life as a princess restored with her new friends, family, and former friends as kind-hearted people.
      • Or like in canon, being sentenced to death by Julio and Sylvia.
    • Hilda: Reunites kindly with her mother and plays with her biological younger sister.
      • Or being abandoned and then raped/tortured/beaten by cops.
    • Salia: Fights alongside her idol.
    • Ersha: Becoming a schoolteacher for kids.
      • All of the kids getting killed and being forced to bury them.
    • Jill: relives her failed Libertus plan.
  • Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3
  • Brave Express Might Gaine
    • Maito: Having his family alive as he takes over the company.
    • Each of the robots seeing their own deaths.
      • Being deemed obsolete and scrapped for parts.
  • Shin Mazinger
    • Koji: Living a peaceful life with his parents.
      • Witnessing the other timelines where he failed to tame ZERO.
  • Gundam Wing Endless Waltz
    • Heero witnessing the death of the girl and her dog over and over again.
    • Alternatively, a Bad Future similar to Frozen Teardrop where he has to kill Relena again (like the one he saw in Z3).
  • Masou Kishin
    • Masaki seeing Shu, whose face is framed in the shadow, kill his adopted father.
      • Alternatively, Masaki never goes to his world's La Gias becase both parents are still alive.
      • He could see himself as Asakim during the events of Super Robot Wars Z.
  • Aura Battler Dunbine
    • Shou: Witnessing the original ending of the show.
  • Mashin Hero Wataru
    • Wataru: Having his kindness stolen away and turning into a delinquent, like in Chou Mashin Eiyuuden.
  • Zeta Gundam
    • Kamille: Reliving the moment where he gets Mind Raped by Scirocco.
  • Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ
    • Judau: Fighting and killing Ple-2, who's piloting the Queen Mansa.
      • Alternatively, seeing both Ple and Leina dead.
  • Char's Counterattack
    • Amuro: Dying at A Baoa Qu in his original self or him and Char fighting with Lalah sacrificing her life to save Char.
  • Gundam F91
    • Seabook: Dying at the hands of Zabine.
    • Cecily: Choosing to lead Cosmo Babylonia.
  • Crossbone Gundam: Steel 7
    • Tobia: Blinded just like in canon.
  • Gundam Reconguista In G
    • Bellri and Aida Rayhunton: Being raised by their biological parents. Cahill and Dellensen are alive.
  • Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
    • Nadia: Living in a prospering Atlantis, For the Man Who Has Everything-style, but without Jean.
    • Jean: Becoming an acclaimed inventor, but never met Nadia.
    • King will have an evolved humanoid form like Boota.
  • Buddy Complex
    • Aoba: Accidentally killing Hina in one of their skirmishes.
    • Dio: Successfully defending Oomura base and preventing his sister from being crippled and his mother from dying.
    • Hina: Stuck in the time loop, aware of what's happening but cannot control her actions.
  • All of them are jossed. Only Simon enters the Labyrinth while everyone else are busy fighting Exev and Celric.

Koji will get a choice between Mazinger ZERO and Mazinkaiser

Mazinkaiser is Koji's mecha upgrade in this game.
  • Confirmed.

Getter Robo isn't in this game...
...because they're trying to figure out how to make Getter Emperor work. Some people have speculated that the appearance of Mazin Emperor G and Mazinger ZERO is foreshadowing of the eventual appearance of Getter Emperor in the series; seeing as how they were willing to reuse Mazin Emperor G as opposed to using Great Mazinkaisernote , it's certainly possible that had they figured out a way to include Getter Emperor, they would've used Getter Robo in this game.
  • I feel it's more likely that they were going for a more kid-friendly/Super Robot approach this time around. SRWV was pretty dark, let's be honest here, with the lead-world being based on Yamato. In its replacement we get Mashin Hero Wataru, and much of the early story is focused on the silly circumstances that surround said series.. On the same note, consider that Getter Robo(Which uses Armageddon's world these days), Evangelion, and Seed are all missing in this one. It feels that more depressingly dark or grimdark stories were pushed out for this one. Heck, even Mazinger Zero just ends up being "The darkness of Mazinger".

Events Beyond the Impossible will occur.
Becuase that’s what Team Dai-Gurren is about.
  • Confirmed. Bizon ends up an ally, which is strange since it should create a time paradox that eliminate his older self, the true Big Bad.

OG Mazinkaiser would finally show it's infamous "God-Mode".
How else could Mazinkaiser even stand a chance against an absolute monstrosity that is ZERO other than unleashing something that could make it on par with full powered Shin Getter Robo?
  • Extremely likely! In PV2, when Kaiser used Fire Blaster, you can see "魔" (Demon), "神" (God), and "Z" alternating in its chest jewel. Since the chest jewel is Kaiser's mode indicator, it is almost certain at this point that God mode will be in this game.

Mana is an artificial imitation of Spiral Power.
Dracunium/Mana was made in hopes to artificially create Spiral Power so that they would not count as Spiral Lifeforms. Of course, this went horribly right when the D-War destroyed nearly all of human civilization, which resulted in the Dragon and Mana civilizations. All with the sole purpose to hide from the Anti-Spirals.
  • Because so, contrary to the belief, the Norma will be able to use Spiral Power anyway.
  • Possibly, since the shows are in the same world together.

Mazinkaizer and Mazinger ZERO will face off
ZERO always goes against any other Super Robot, now how about we set it against Koji's other Mazin? It'll really make for an interesting version of Juzo's words, to "become a god or a demon".
  • Confirmed! Mazinkaiser and Mazin Emperor G are shown doing a combined attack on ZERO in PV2.

Summoning the heroes to Al-Warth will change their character and the plots of their respective series.
Because when you're suddenly summoned to the mysterious and open world, it becomes very likely their outlook on things will change as well.
  • Confirmed. Ange and the gang defrost much quicker than in V, Amuro gets a chance to think about himself outside the context of being a famous pilot while all of the UC cast learn about the Reguild Century, and Char and (if you get the secrets) Glemy and Bizon of all people make Face Heel Turns.

The G-Self with have a minor connection to the Mazinger units.
Some of the the G-Self's more powerful weapons (such as the Photon Armour and the Photon Torpedos) all have a photon theme to them and the main power source of the Regild Century is Photon Batteries. If they group the Mazinger and UC Gundam timelines together and keep Reconguista in G set in the distant future it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to connect the two different Photon powers together.

Gundam Wing Endless Waltz will be part of the fantasy world
Whilst the rest of the Gundam series in the game including G-Reco will be part of the regular world (most likely the UC timeline), the Wing series, the only true AU Gundam in the game will be set in the established fantasy world. The aesthetics of the Gundams (from Angel wings, to dragon themed, to death god etc), the role of the Princess of a fallen kingdom would fit in. The role of the colonies will be changed to something that fits the fantasy world.
  • If that's case, they could have used SD Gundam Force instead, allowing it to add even more units, while being an even better match for the fantasy world altogether.
  • Isn't it a little too far-fetched to say that the sci-fi series with almost zero supernatural elements is going to fit in a magical world just because the mecha designs look fantasy-ish? Plus, just imagine how many things need to be changed if that's the case. Is X-18999 gonna turn into a magic meteor? Is Dekim Barton going to be an evil wizard who takes over a magical castle?

The game will have an animated opening.
We haven't had one in awhile since The Moon Dwellers.
  • Jossed, all past games with CG openings show parts of them in the trailer. And since it's not in the trailer...

There will be Heero/Joe interaction.
The Ace? Check. Dark and Troubled Past that involves losing a father figure to the Big Bad? Check. Voiced by Midorikawa? Double check. I'll be more surprised if there aren't any interactions between these two.

Seabook will get to fight the Pyrethroids.
Those things are practically directly based on the Crossbone Vanguard's Bugs. And since he didn't get to fight them in V last time, now seems as good a time as any.
  • Confirmed, he even has a special quote that directly references the Bugs.

The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Eight elements will be compared to a Para-mail at some point by some of the characters.
Let's see... Wings, multiple weapons AND a motorcycle-seat style cockpit.

Tobia Arronax is a member of the Pirate Corps in G-Reco.
This is because the Crossbone Vanguard that will be in this game is the one from the F91 era and therefore Cosmo Babylonia's army instead of Space Pirates.
  • Related to this, the people from Jupiter Empire in the manga will be from Venus Globe instead. Crux Dogatie would be even older than he is canonically, similar to how La Gu's life is prolonged.
  • Alternatively, Tobia Arronax will tag along with the crew of the Nautilus as a Shout-Out to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or he'll be close to Captain Nemo, at least.
  • There is also a possibility that either due to Buddy Complex's time travel plot device or through Al-Warth's magical doings, that Tobia will be pulled into the conflict from his own time and meets up with Seabook who at this point will have no idea who he is. There could even be some initial conflict between the two once Tobia identifies himself as a Crossbone Vanguard. Eventually the relationship between Tobia and Seabook becomes kind of a reverse of canon with Tobia helping Seabook getting used to being a Gundam pilot and coming to terms with the situation. Lastly there could be a scripted confrontation between Tobia and Iron Mask (now confirmed to be in the game in PV 2), both leaders of two very different interpretations of the Crossbone Vanguards

If Mariemaia Army isn't in this game, Wufei will defect to Zogilia.
  • Judging by Heero's quote against that Serpent in the trailer, the premise of this seems unlikely.
  • Jossed. Instead, Mariemaia allies with the Misurugi Empire. But Wufei does show up with the Zogilia Elite Corps, as part of an assistance.

Code Geass's story will have some elements from the Compilation Movie or the upcoming Ressurection installment.
Whether it'd be Foreshadowing at the very minimum.

The Original Generation protagonist will not be a human or even a Human Alien.
To bring variety to OG character designs and keep it in theme with the fantasy world of Al-Warth, the protagonist may belong to fantasy species like a Plant Person, an elf, an orc, or anything that is obviously not human at first sight.
  • Jossed.

The OG protagonist's robot will be magic-based
Recent Famitsu previews have revealed that the replacement for the TacP Customization systen from the previous game will be called "MAGIC System", considering Nine's role in V, this seems like the logical conclusion.
  • Confirmed!

The Kuntala were descended from Norma in the Founding Nations that were eaten in the past but some survived and managed to emigrate.
The practice stopped when the Founding Nations became more humane(?) or when the dragon problem came around.

Secret Characters included in this game are:

Gargoyle's soldiers will pilot Mobile Suits, Knightmare Frames, or Valiancers.
Mass produced ones, of course.
  • Preemptively jossed. Characters from one work piloting units from another series very, very rarely happens in SRW.

Nadia and Trowa were from the same circus.
If not, they'll bond over the similarities of their skills with her wondering why a person who likes animals would be such a nonchalant warrior.

Canon Welding of Buddy Complex and Code Geass factions.
The Alliance with Britannian Empire and Zogilia with the Chinese Federation. EU will be Adapted Out because it's a Hufflepuff House.

Gino and Dio Weinberg will be relatives.
They share the same last name, Phenotype Stereotype, and their families are prominent in their respective series and it would work with the aforementioned Canon Welding.
  • Jossed. Gino doesn't even show up.

The Coupling System's game mechanics will be similar to the Element System's.
It will align the stats of the coupled pilots based on the highest values of each stat.
  • Jossed. It enables the sharing of certain Spirit command effects, that's it.

The game will reuse the rendition of "G no Senkou" from SD Gundam G Generation Genesis.
Given that the orchestration fits perfectly into the new art direction that V and X seem to be headed in, and that they've been open to including more saxophone pieces (like "Fly, Dunbine"), it'd make perfect sense to reuse a theme that sounds like it belongs in SRW without the hassle of recomposing itnote .
  • Jossed. X's version is more rock-oriented, while Genesis was more focused on jazz.

That little Steampunk amphibious tank survived a lot that it shouldn't have.
  • No confirmation yet, but during the Taipei Game Show, Terada was asked if it would be a unit, his answer was "Please look at my smile and feel it." Since he didn't say no...
    • Yep, it's a unit, confirmed. In fact, she actually is one of the first units that join the players early in the game.

Embryo and Bizon will form an alliance.
Both attempt to create a global scale apocalypse, are involved in time travel, utterly insane, and have an unhealthy obsession with a particular love interest.
  • Confirmed somewhat. Zoligia works for the Misurugi Empire.
    • Confirmed where Embryo and the future Bizon have a past together.

Endless Waltz finale would take place in Zogilia's Alaska Base.
There will be a showdown between the Twin Buster Rifle and Garapushka.

The Coupling System will be based on the ZERO system and Psycommu.
To further Buddy Complex's references to Pacific Rim, it will be mentioned that the ZERO system puts too much strain on a single pilot so it must be distributed to two people.

Regarding the Psycommu, the Coupling System is adjusted for non-Newtype use.

Dragunium, Nectoribium, and Orihalcon will all be related.
This is just something SRW does with Applied Phlebotinums from different series. Nectoribium is just Crystal Dragunium but since non-Founding Nations didn't know about the dragons, they had a different word for it. The Neo Atlanteans call it Orihalcon because of their conceit.

The 5 Endless Waltz Gundams will have a Combination Attack.
There is some basis for it.
  • Pretty much impossible, considering the five Gundams never fought as a team in EW.
    • Mazinkaiser and Mazin Emperor G never fought against Mazinger ZERO in Shin Mazinger. Didn't stop this game.
    • Gee, it's almost as if Banpresto can take more liberties with robots that they created in the first place, who'd have thought?
  • Also, from a gameplay perspective, a combination attack that requires five units would have to be really, really powerful to be worth it (i.e. Final Dynamic Special, Shuffle Alliance Punch, Final Phase). The Gundams don't have anything that can match that.

More enemies joining before the end
Much like how V had the likes of Jerid, Yazan, and Full Frontal joining, X will see Glemy Toto or Haman(if she's in), Dorel Ronah and Zabine joining the team by the end (maybe not Iron Mask though).
  • Confimred. Characters include Char, Glemy as predicted, and Bizon, of all people.

Suzaku will have special quotes against Bizon
Seiyuu joke - Both are voiced by Takahiro Sakurai

As the Zelguard is already an Expy of the Phoenix Zero in terms of appearance, it's not hard to imagine why this could be the case.
  • Jossed, there is no upgrade.

Resources used for Feldina in V will be reused for Al-Warth.
The backdrop could fit a fantasy world.
  • Looks confirmed for conversation backdrops.

Atlantis and Sank Kingdom had interactions in the distant past.
Either that they had a cultural exchange in a rare instance of Atlanteans communicating with the outside world or Relena and Milliardo have an ancestor that lived in Atlantis, maybe even an offshoot of their royal family similar to ancestral relations of European monarchs. Also, sank.

Someone else and not Char is going to drop Axis.
Probably either Doakutar, Don Goro, or Klim Nick.
  • Jossed. We don't get to go to the Universal Century and see it for ourselves, but Char did it again.

Ange will be able to shoot her machine gun in space as a Dynamic Kill, just like V.
Then we can have her shoot the Granzeboma just like Chirico.
  • Jossed. Ange's only Dynamic Kill is from her final attack.

The Norma will each give a Shout-Out to various Magical Girl series.
Even with their Anti-Magic, with a magical fantasy setting and seiyuus playing characters from those particular series, one must wonder how they'll adapt to it.
  • Salia: Sayaka Miki
  • Ange: Fate Testarossa
  • Hilda: Nanoha Takamachi
  • Ersha: Cure Melody
  • Chris: Rinne Berlinetta
  • Vivian: Cure Sunshine
    • Partially confirmed in the Bonus Scenarios. Iori/Amari manages to give Salia transformation sequences with Hopes/Spero acting as the mascot. She even has a whole set of clothes including Super, Eternal, and Princess Pretty Salianne.

Chuchumy is the real threat controlling every other villain in this game.
This seemingly non-threatening goldfish is actually pulling a Dark One and will Out Gambit the likes of Embryo, Lelouch, and Schneizel.

The final boss is going to be a god.
The second trailer mentions "putting an end to mythology and taking back the world", so it's heavily implied that the Big Bad is going to be a god or at least an A God Am I villain. God of Wisdom Ende seems likely.
  • Confirmed, but the unexpected part? Hopes is the Final Boss! Sure he's doing it for positive reasons, but it is still quite unexpected.

Al Worth is, in fact, a Crapsaccharine World
There are hints throughout the trailers: The male protagonist is a defector from the Keepers of Order, the supposed peacekeepers of the world, implying that they aren't as nice as they sound. The second trailer also mentions that the world is "a perpetual dream with no awakening", which really sounds pretty ominous. And then there's the aforementioned "take back the world" bit.
  • Confirmed.
Not only will Jill be Spared by the Adaptation by default, but there will be other chances to rescue some of the Cross Ange characters who were killed/persuade some of the ones who sided with Embryo to change back to your side
As noted above, Unicorn, 00, and SEED Destiny have been Put on a Bus for this installment, so they're going to need units to fill in the gaps. As such, much like with Marida Cruz in V, Jill will be spared by default, and you'll possibly be able to save some of the characters who get killed off early on (i.e., Coco, Zola) or convince some of the Norma pilots who sided with Embryo to pull a Heel–Face Turn (i.e., Tanya, Irma).
  • The first part may be true, but the second part? Very very very unlikely. The personalities of Coco, Zola, and the other two Diamond Rose Knights can pretty much summed in less than three words ("naive", "rapey", "cooks stuff", "paints stuff"). In other words, their characters are way too flat to qualify as secrets. Also, Coco's a rookie in an unmodified Glaive, she's just going to be dead weight even if she joins.

The interactions between the main cast and the Norma will not go well at first.
Justified by how the Misurugi Empire and other nations treat them like monsters and live in the same world as the fantasy beings. Chances are that Norma use this Freudian Excuse to bully the other fantasy beings and magic users as well.
  • One another note, the people of Misurugi are possibly not so different from those who treat other beings as sub-human. This wasn't the first time since they were like that in V, treating normal humans and Coordinators like second-class citizens for not being able to use magic like they can.
    • Zigzagged. Ange doesn't trust them at first, but overtime accepts them well. Of all the other Normas, only Hilda has a hard time trusting them.
