  • Logical Weakness: Though he has trained to offset his missing eye, Fury does lack a certain level of depth perception and has a total lack of peripheral vision on his left side. This can be exploited by a skilled enemy.
  • Military Superhero: Fury has trained as a paratrooper, ranger, demolitions expert, and vehicle specialist. He has completed Green and Black beret Special Forces training.
  • Mysterious Past: Fury doesn't like to talk about the past, not even if Nick Fury is really his name, all that is known is that he became who he was after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
  • Official Couple: Currently dating Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
  • Older Than They Look: Thanks to the Super Soldier serum, he looks and is as spry as a man in his forties despite being over seventy years old.

However, Barton also uses explosive arrows that deliver smoke, glue, fire-retardant, slippery oil, and sensory disorienting flashes upon detonation.
    • Electric Arrows: Also known as "shock", "stun", or "taser" arrows, these are designed to deliver a powerful electric shock to incapacitate enemies in a non-lethal manner. Similarly these arrows can be quickly adjusted to function as EMP grenades, causing a small explosion that emits a localized electromagnetic pulse upon detonation, causing various unshielded electronics to malfunction.
    • Grapple Arrows: These arrows are equipped with grapple hooks and cables, useful for creating zip-lines or climbing. Upon firing, these arrows often attach a high-tensile strength wire to Barton's bow, but Barton can also quickly calibrate these arrows to dispense their wire in several other manners to accomodate the situation.
    • Pym Particle Arrows: These arrows uses Pym Particles to temporarily change the size of its struck target. These are experimental (and expensive), so Barton only carries two such arrowheads (one each of a red and a blue) in his quiver and has yet to deploy either in the field.
