    A 
  • Abandon the Disabled:
    • "My father in law left me in the mountains, but then…": Mao's father abandons Kazuki in the mountain because he has a developmental disability and has No Sense of Direction. When Kazuki was found and hospitalized, he doesn't even feel sorry for what he did. Mao later cuts ties with her father and eventually tells her grandmother about him several years later, causing him to get disowned and his wife also divorces him.
    • "I was left disabled after protecting a woman who was about to be hit by a car": Kenya loses the functionality of his right arm after protecting a woman who was about to get hit by a car. However, his wife Ayuko starts acting cold towards him since the accident. Ayuko's behavior turns out to be justified, because Kenya was cheating on her with the woman that he saved from the accident, right after they left the love hotel. Ayuko later divorces Kenya because she doesn't want to take care of a man who got into an accident after having an affair.
  • Academia Elitism: After Satoshi and Seiya's parents were killed after being hit by a car, Satoshi, who was in high school, helped raise Seiya. In addition, Satoshi gave up his dream of going to college so that Seiya could go to college instead. However, years later, when he meets Seiya's fiancé, Mariko, he discovers that both she and, to his great shock and anger, Seiya look down on him for not going to college and for working in a factory. They even tell him to not go to their wedding, telling that they would be embarrassed if he showed up. In addition, Seiya mocks him at their parents' passing anniversary. Unfortunately for Seiya, this becomes his downfall. At his wedding, his boss, through a letter read by his secretary, calls him out for looking down on Satoshi, who the CEO has a high opinion of, just because he didn't go college, reveals their company's CFO is also a high school graduate, and tells him to come to his office the next time he comes into work. Knowing that he will be fired, Seiya goes to Satoshi's place, apologizes for what he did, and begs him to convince his boss to not fire him. However, Satoshi refuses to forgive him and tells him that he no longer sees him as family. Afterwards, all of the employees who were high school graduates at Seiya's company ignored him and refused to help him when he started messing up at work. Unable to stand the isolation, Seiya left the company two months after his wedding.
  • Accidental Public Confession:
    • In "She thought she was getting me into trouble but...", Hina blurts out she would have never broken the plates Yuki left on the table if she knew they belonged to Haneda-san. Much to her dismay, the entire cooking club was within earshot, earning herself said woman's wrath.
      Hina: I don't know! I thought these were the plates that you brought! I dropped them just to get back at you! If I had known that they were Haneda-san's plates, I wouldn't have…
    • "The son of a government official burned down my doghouse": The government official's wife blurted out about how she's going to pay her debts after he quits his job. She covered her mouth upon realizing what she said, but it was too late. Turns out the wife, named Reiko, was a shopping/gambling addict who often borrowed from her relatives whenever she ran out of money.
  • Adoption Diss:
    • Ami lost her parents in an accident and was adopted by her uncle and aunt. However, they neglect her in favor of their son Yuto. The couple sees her as nothing but a money tree as they only agreed to raise her because of the money her grandmother often sent to them.
    • Ryota was adopted by his uncle after his parents died in a house fire. However, he was not given enough food by his uncle because he only agreed to raise him so he would be able to receive the money from the government. In the end, Ryota's uncle was reported to the ward welfare office by Riho's mother, causing him to lose custody of Ryota and his business also goes bust because of his negligence towards Ryota.
  • Age-Gap Romance: Mari married her friend Sakiko's father and he is said to be 17 years older than her.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Ms. Makita is usually a stuck-up housewife, but becomes a sobbing, begging wreck around Yoko's father. The reason was that the man's bear-like build and the scar on his face made him easy to mistake for a Yakuza thug.
  • Almighty Janitor: Mrs. Matsudaira is a long-time janitor at Yuka Hori's workplace, and she and other janitors are treated the same way as the full-time employees by the CEO, thus their job is as important as any other. Matsudaira later exposes Mr. Hamamoto for trying to steal Hori's idea. Later, she exposes Hamamoto again, this time for kicking a cleaning sign after his plan to steal Hori's idea was foiled.
  • Alpha Bitch:
    • Miki Sato is a stuck-up rich girl who stole valuable things from other girls with impunity since her father was a powerful city council member. Despite being in the Astronomy Club, she wasn't interested in the subject and joined just to flirt with a boy named John, whom she crushed on and kept ignorant of her real self.
    • Kaori Morita is a rich girl who bullied both Minato and Sana. It was later believed that she was bullied by some girls from her former school. When Minato and Sana saw this, they stood up to the girls. Kaori broke down crying and admitted that the reason why she bullies them is because she was bullied. Fortunately she changed for the better and later befriended the two.
  • Always Someone Better: Years later after dumping Masato, a malnourished, worn-out Reina kisses up to him despite his marriage to Yui and treating him like trash before. Turns out her CEO husband's family owned many companies and her mother-in-law was a former nobilitynote  who treated her like trash before throwing her out. On top of it, her father's company went bankrupt.
  • Arranged Marriage:
    • Erika marries an employee from her father's company, Seiji, through an arranged marriage. This frustrates her, as she is forced to marry what she considers an ugly man and had to give up on her previous relationships because of her father, to the point that she cheated on him with a handsome man named Ryoma. Seiji's feelings are mutual because he couldn't tolerate Erika's spoiledness and only married her because her father was his boss (especially, as revealed in the sequel, when her father blackmailed him into marrying her by holding his previous girlfriend's livelihood hostage). When he exposed Erika's infidelity to her parents, the two divorced, with Seiji moving on to marry his previous girlfriend. The sequel reveals that Ryoma is in fact Seiji's best friend, and that there was a plan made before the marriage for Ryoma to seduce Erika so Seiji could get a divorce without blowback from her father.
    • Yuki is forced to be part of an arranged marriage set up by her parents to pay Haruka's debt, forcing her to marry an overweight man named Takahiko. However, Takahiko says he just wanted to help her get out from her family because that he already knows that she was treated badly by her family. They eventually end up together for real.
    • Haruto was pressured to marry his abusive boss' daughter Rika and he couldn't turn it down. While everything seemed normal at first, Rika started to leave the house more often and started falling for his flashy college best friend Toru. When she came back intoxicated, she abused Haruto and rubbed her father's abusive treatment of him in his face. However, Haruto saw her cheating on him with Toru, which was the last straw for him, and decided to divorce her.
  • Attempted Homewrecker: Noai aggressively pursues Makoto, one of her father's employees, doing things such as sending sexually explicit photos of herself and offering to go swimming with him, despite knowing that he's a married man and loyal to his wife. The reason for her aggressive pursuit is that she's a Dude Magnet who isn't used to having guys resist her advances, which makes Makoto a challenge for her. When Noai sees a picture of Amane, Makoto's wife, she makes fun of Amane's youthful appearance and insists that she would be better because of her more mature body. When Makoto rejects her at a drinking party, Noai loses it and attempts to rape him, only to be stopped by Amane, whose trained in various martial arts, and subtly threatens to kill Noai if she doesn't stop bothering Makoto, which, alongside the fact that her father punished her for her behavior, causes Noai to give up.
  • Attempted Rape:
    • Mariko narrowly escaped from a playboy who attempted to rape her at a matchmaking party, albeit traumatized by the ordeal and unwilling to go to school. Turns out Miki planned the rape to punish her for trying to expose her bullying to John.
    • Nomura tries to take Amane to a hotel, unfortunately for him, he is easily knocked down by Amane due to her skill in martial arts, despite her appearance.
  • Auto Erotica: My wife was having an affair when I got home so I called the cops, a man returns home to his wife cheating on him inside her lover's car parked inside his garage. When he finds her bag, he secretly copies her phone's message data into his own to get evidence and closes the shutters of his garage to teach the lovebirds a lesson.

  • The Baby Trap:
    • "My girlfriend and I were going to marry because she was pregnant but I...": Ai tries to fool Kota by claiming that she was pregnant with his baby, but he knew the baby wasn't his because he is infertile. Using this knowledge, Kota exposes Ai's affair in front of her father with a lot of evidence, causing her to be disowned.
    • 'It was my "Friend's" wedding day, and I finally had enough': Akira tells his pregnant lover to sleep with Kouichi to fool him into believing that the baby was his under threat of ruining her life if she told anybody. Fortunately, the lover spills everything to Kouichi when he refused to sleep with her. Later, while speaking with Akira, Kouchi is able to obtain his cigarette butt, which uses in a DNA test to confirm that the Akira is the father. While giving his speech at Akira's wedding, during which he exposes Akira's past misdeeds, he shows everyone his tablet with a screenshot of the DNA test that proves that Akira is the child's father. After Akira gets fired from his company and disowned by his family, he is forced to accept that he is the father and has to make child support payments to his ex-lover.
    • "I got dumped for a company president…": Konomi tries to get back with Yukiya by telling him that she was pregnant with his baby after finding out that he was rich all along, but he knew the baby in her belly was Matsumoto's and immediately hung up on her.
  • Bad Influencer: Mieko is a self-proclaimed model and actress who looked down on her ex-boyfriend Tsubasa for being poor until his wife Akina knocks her down a peg. Furthermore, Mieko eventually appears on Internet news, as it turned out she was buying followers for money and her family business tanked a few years ago.
  • Be a Whore to Get Your Man: At the beach trip the normally shy and conservatively dressed Minako wears a revealing bikini that incidently shows off her curves to get the protagonist Atsushi to notice her. For his part Atsushi does confess that he always liked her.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Nezu may seem like an easy going guy, but at a drinking party, some scary men pretending to be yakuza tried to overcharge his coworkers, he grilled them on how much they knew about the Manwa gang that the claimed to have joined. When they couldn't answer, he called the boss about the pretense, causing them to drop the act and run away.
  • Big Brother Bully: Reina bullies her brother Hiroki for being an introvert, she also takes her stress out by hitting him intentionally and stealing his money without the intention to paying them back.
  • Big Brother Worship: In "My younger brother was killed in a traffic accident, leaving his pregnant wife...", Kazuki may not be the best brother for Haruki, but he always looks up to him since the day he tried to save him from bullies.
  • Big Jerk on Campus: Akira from 'It was my "Friend's" wedding day, and I finally had enough' is a popular guy with a nice smile, a big group of friends, and popular with girls back in college on top of being the son of a powerful man with connections. However, he is a huge jerk towards those he considers beneath him, like Kouichi, whom he treated as his personal punching bag and gofer.
  • Blackmail:
    • In "When I got home, my wife was taking a bath with a man I didn't know!", Rena cheats on Shinichi with Mr. Okada and blackmails her stepdaughter Yuuka by implying she'll be at fault for destroying their family if she ever spills the beans.
    • In "The man with the dragon tattoo": Hidaka blackmails and extorts money from Kazuma so he would not tell their boss Tetsuya about Kazuma's tattoo on his back. Fortunately, Tetsuya already knows about his tattoo earlier and he fires Hidaka for his trouble.
    • In "My dad who exposed an injustice was fired from the boss…": The reason Keita's father was fired from his company because his boss was powerless to fire the employee who embezzled the company's money because he was blackmailed by said employee after seeing him having an affair with another woman behind his wife's back.
  • Bleak Abyss Retirement Home: Kaede and Mao's parents end up going to one after notice of them forcing Kaede into selling her body to earn them money spread throughout the town, effectively making them pariahs. It had no recreation to keep them distracted and according to an acquaintance of Mao's who worked there, the couple barely looks alive and keep saying their daughters' names, implying they are suffering some sort of dementia.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation:
    • This story has Yumi state that her father married another man and she got a half-brother named Kento.
    • Another story has Eita yell at his mother for kicking out Naoki referring to him as his brother, however she is Naoki's aunt which makes Eita and Naoki cousins rather than brothers.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter:
    • Akina became a brat to her adoptive father Kengo and constantly told him that he stinks due to being a garbageman and their relationship became strained. When Saeko, her adoptive mother told her the truth about why Kengo took that job, she broke down and admitted that her friend insulted her father. She became more gentle and even helped her father with his job.
    • Masako becomes less interested in studying and keeps getting low scores to rebel against her parents for neglecting her in favor of her sister, Shizue, her father also almost disowns her for her actions. Several years later, her scores keep worsening and she is on the verge of not being able to graduate high school.
  • Bribe Backfire:
    • Tsuyoshi attempts to bribe Koji to not spread his actual personality and abusiveness to the media, Koji responds by saying a possible headline about his bribing attempt to him.
    • Masato's father, who is a congressman seeking to be re-elected, tries to bribe Yosuke's father to not report Masato to the police for purposely hurting Yosuke, causing him to be rushed into a hospital. Yosuke's father refuses and reveals that he has been recording everything since the beginning of their conversation and he also sends the recordings to Yosuke's journalist uncle, Kota. After Masato and his father get exposed, the former gets fined for causing injury by negligence and the latter is declared unfit for re-election.
  • Broken Pedestal: Mieko admired famous supermodel Akina-chan, but when the latter gave her a blistering speech for making fun of Tsubasa and picking on her flaws at modeling, she runs away to cry.
  • Bullying the Disabled:
    • "I saved Nezuko, but then an angry Shinobu Kocho appeared, and...": Maika waved Michiru to leave the con, even when the latter had her purse in a locker. The staff claimed Michiru wanted them to leave her alone because Maika told them, with Maika herself saying Michiru wanted her to leave. However, Junta showed the staff photographs of their last interaction, showing Maika acting cold towards Michiru, which leads to the former chewing the latter out for being cuter than her. While this wasn't the first time she did things like these, she became a pariah for bullying a disabled girl—Michiru is deaf.
    • "On the club trip I got left behind by a girl who made fun of me for being disabled": Reina Sasaki bullied wheelchair-user Ayano Hirose for being close to male school idol Toda-san. Her jealousy escalated to the point of taking Ayano away to the woods and leaving her there. Much to Reina's dismay, a bunch of Yakuza showed up to search for Ayano as she was their boss' daughter. After the workers scared the crap out of Reina for her prank, she became a pariah for bullying a disabled girl.
    • "What happened to my boss who treated me like an obstacle because I'm in a wheelchair": Tsuda bullies and transfers Yuka to the warehouse for being wheelchair-bound. When Saito finds out about Tsuda's unfair treatment of Yuka, he later gets demoted and his co-workers start calling him "scum" and "bully of the disabled" which causes him to quit the company a few months later. It is revealed out that some of Tsuda's relatives were disabled and his wife also divorced him for what he did to Yuka.
    • "I was pushed down by the president's son who looked down on the disabled...": Yuya starts bullying Keita for having a prosthetic leg after he found out that his crush has a crush on Keita. He eventually crosses the line by pushing Keita down the stairs, in addition, he doesn't even apologize for what he did. When he and his father failed to bribe Keita when he attempts to sue them for damages, the old man calls him a cripple and forces him to apologize. Unfortunately for the father and son, Keita immediately calls for help, attracting everybody in the company, including the manager of a major client. Because of the incident, the police started to investigate Yuya and his father and they eventually get fined for it.
    • "I was left out on the company trip but I had a trick up my sleeve": Sawada bullies Ryotaro for having a developmental disabilitynote  and the bullying escalates when he finds out that his crush Mitani became close with Ryotaro. It is also revealed that Sawada was scolded by his school's principal for bullying an old man with bad eyesight, increasing his hatred to disabled people. One day, Sawada lies to Ryotaro about the schedule of the departure and also lies to other employees about Ryotaro taking a day off. He eventually gets exposed when Ryotaro manages to come early at the meeting location before the other employees do, causing himself to get transferred and eventually quits on his own.

    C 
  • Car Meets House: Wataru returned home from his business trip to find his house completely destroyed, allegedly by a car. The culprit was a tough guy who forced his brother to drive his car in the mountain in an attempt to toughen him up, they eventually crashed into the house and fled the scene thinking the house was abandoned.
  • Cassandra Truth: Shinji Miyazaki tries to warn his Gold Digger ex-girlfriend Ayaka about her fiancé's company, which is known to be a shady company working for his mother's company. However, she doesn't believe him and thinks he makes up stories and is just jealous because she is marrying a rich guy. Ayaka tries to get back with Shinji after realizing he was really telling her the truth.
  • Casting Couch: The sleazy producer who Kumiko bedded from "The dark side of entertainment producers…" practices an indirect version of this. The bastard not only was the subject of many dark scandals throughout his career but he also had ties to a training school, using them to target older women who wanted their daughters to make their debut, despite being married with kids himself. Moreover, Kumiko was the only one willing to cheat on her husband Yusuke with him.
  • The Chikan: "I confronted a suspicious man at the station, and then he showed me a toy badge...": A man molests high schoolers inside a crowded train. When the man gets exposed, he claims to be a police officer to get out of the situation. Unfortunately for him, he ends up being arrested and imprisoned for sexual assault and impersonation of a police officer.
  • Childhood Friend Romance:
    • In this video, Erika eavesdrops on her mother to learn that her ex-husband Seiji remarried to his childhood friend, six months after they divorced. The sequel reveals that Seiji always wanted to marry his childhood friend Haruka, even making a promise in their childhood, but Erika's father holds her family's livelihood hostage until he marries Erika.
    • In My wife said "It's your fault we can’t have kids!" and divorced me but one year later..., Takashi and Karin are childhood friends who started dating since middle school until they eventually got married. However, it didn't last long: Karin wanted to have kids, but Takashi's infertility drove her to stay at her parents' house more often until she eventually divorced him for drawing pictures as she saw it as "too nerdy", and hooked up with a young businessman her dad found for her.
    • Hayate and Mio were childhood friends, they later married when she proposed to him.
    • Takeru and Miyu were childhood friends since kindergarten. By the end of the episode, the two married.
    • Daiki's childhood friend Saori was the only person that cares for him, unlike his mother and his spoiled brother Hideki. After they exposed Hideki as an arrogant liar who stole his brother's drawing and posted it on his social media, she publicly rejects him in school and confesses her feeling to Daiki. Since then, the two became a couple.
  • Clear My Name: Maiko accuses Kenichi of stealing her wallet because she wasn't "saved" by Kenichi's handsome friend when she was playing sick. Fortunately, Riyona recommends Kenichi to check the CCTV footage at the location of the supposed incident, thus exposing Maiko's lies to her father who was also accusing him.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
  • Color Failure: Mizuki goes white when Masato dumped her after he found out she cheated on her fiancé Yosuke with him.
  • Con Man:
  • Cooking Duel: Takeo and Raina had a cooking duel to see who's the better chef when they squabbled over food.
  • Cool Uncle: Tatsuma's uncle Ken is the only person in his family to support him because his own parents neglected him in favor of his brother. He also encouraged Tatsuma to be a doctor after witnessing him save someone's life.
  • Corrupt Politician: In this story, Chiyo's groom and now husband is revealed to be one after so many court cases before declaring him guilty and putting him in prison. As a result, Chiyo was forced to pay a huge fine and she was now known as the wife of a criminal.
  • Cosplay Café: Minako opens a high school-themed café after she was wrongfully dismissed from her previous job by her Bad Boss. She also hires Omasa and his friend to work for the café.
  • Crocodile Tears: Mayu puts on the waterworks when her ex-boyfriends Satoshi and Ryo exposing her lies at Shuichi's party, attempting to justify herself. However, Satoshi, who turned out to be a police officer, doesn't fall for it and takes her to the station.

    D 
  • Dating What Daddy Hates:
    • When Kota comes to Ai's house to receive her father's blessing to marry Ai, the man disapproves of their relationship because Kota is not employed at any company and he allegedly impregnated his daughter, Ai also defends Kota to keep their relationship going on. However, Kota reveals that he only came to announce that he is going to break up with Ai, because he knew that the child inside Ai's belly was not his, due to her affair with her ex-boyfriend behind his back, and he is infertile. After knowing the truth, Ai's father turns against her and they both apologize to Kota.
    • I reunited with my rich ex-girlfriend...: Shizuka Nikaido dated Yuta Makikawa for a while, she later dumped him for being poor after he started working part-time jobs because his father was suddenly let go. Turns out it was her father who had Yuta's father fired to keep her from dating Yuta since he feared it would ruin his company's reputation.
  • Dead All Along: In this story, Ayaka appears to be fine after saving her sister Rika from a car accident, however their parents appear to ignore her afterwards. It's revealed that Ayaka actually perished on the day of the accident and it was her spirit who kept looking out for Rika until she disappears one month before the death of their grandmother.
  • Decoy Protagonist:
    • Mami is presented as the protagonist of The husband who goes on a trip with his lover right before his wife went into labor, she suffers from mental and financial abuses from her husband, Yutaka, and he even went to a trip with his lover while she was 9 months pregnant. However, the POV changes from Mami to her brother, Takuro, who seeks to avenge her against Yutaka for abusing and leaving Mami alone, causing her to die in childbirth.
    • Marina appears to be the protagonist of My boyfriend betrayed me in front of my parents just as we were about to get married as she deals with her inability to get a good husband after she broke up with Ryota because he had a huge debt. However, the perspective switches to Ryota as he finds out about Marina's bullying and false accusations against several of her co-workers and superiors. It is also revealed that Ryota's alleged debt was made up by himself in attempt to break up with Marina.
    • Junpei appears to be the protagonist of The keys didn't work when I came home from a business trip… as he witnesses his wife Maki acting more cold towards him after he had to do overtime work and go to business trips. The perspective switches to Maki as she witnesses her husband cheating on her with a hostess and the things Junpei mentioned also turned out to be excuses to be together with his lover. Then the perspective switches to Junpei again as he suffers from a series of Humiliation Conga after Maki divorced him.
  • Delicate and Sickly: Kosuke's mother had a difficult-to-treat disease and he had to do the chores while his sister Reiko slacked around. Later on, his father revealed he had cancer and became sick, eventually succumbing to his illness months later.
  • Dirty Coward:
    • In this story, it's revealed Aya had a past affair with a married man. When held to task, she cowered to her parents and had them pay the alimony instead of paying it herself. In the present, she cowered to her boss when Fuyuki rejected her, confirming him of her true nature.
    • Makita acts all tough around people he thinks are below him, but he quickly hides behind his female co-worker when intimidated by a man who claims to be a Yakuza member. This ends up causing his female co-workers to hate and ignore him.
  • Disappeared Dad: Yuuto was abandoned by his father because he couldn't accept the fact that Yuuto was dyslexic. Yuuto eventually became a successful gamer and his father tried to recruit him for his new online game business, but Yuuto rejects his proposal which led to his business failing.
  • Disowned Parent: Mao and Yuna no longer consider Manami as their mother because she neglected them because of her gambling addiction and infidelity towards their step-father Kazuya.
  • Disowned Sibling: Satoshi cuts ties with his brother Seiya after he got into trouble for making fun of Satoshi's educational background despite he was helping Seiya to study in college.
  • Does Not Like Men: Yui Hayase swore off men after her fiancé cheated on her before their wedding. But she fell in love with Takeda when he defended her grandfather's land from delinquents who park there without permission.
  • Dyeing for Your Art: Chiaki cuts her long hair to look similar to her late father's in order to pretend to be him to pacify her grief-striken grandmother, who suffers from dementia.

    E 
  • Easily Forgiven:
    • Shunsuke forgave his wife for cheating on him, but she doesn't learn any lesson at all and eventually cheats on him again, causing him to not forgive her anymore.
    • Takayuki forgives Rika for cheating on him, but with one condition: her parents must pay 20 million yen as alimony if she cheats on him again. Unsurprisingly, she doesn't learn her lesson and cheats on Takayuki again, causing him to divorce her and demand the exact amount of alimony as they promised.
  • Engineered Public Confession:
    • The girl who stole my ex-BF came to my wedding to stir things up…: Saho entered Ayumi's dressing room and gloated about having doctored both her picture sleeping with Sora and a photo of Ayumi cheating on him and even announced she was pregnant with his baby to rub it in. Much to Saho's dismay, Ayumi laughs it off and reveals she has been recording her the whole time. After showing the guests said recording, Sora verbally assaulted Saho for tricking him and eventually divorced her when he realized the baby wasn't even his.
    • My girlfriend falls onto the ground with a red arm as a lady screams at her! [sic]: Fuyuki defended Aya from a beachside café waitress as the latter assaulted her and accused her of stealing her older sister's husband. While Aya convinced Fuyuki to not believe what the waitress said, the latter tells Fuyuki to listen to a recording of her conversation with Aya on her phone.
      Waitress: So you knew that he was married but you went and seduced him, yeah?
      Aya: Because he said that he'll increase my salary if I go out with him! It's not my fault I seduced him first so I'm not wrong!
      Waitress: It's all your fault that my sister is crying everyday!
      Aya: So what? Kazuya picked me over your sister because she wasn't as attractive as I am!
      It's all her fault for being ugly and introverted! I paid the alimony so stop bothering me! [Ugh,] You two sisters are so annoying!
  • Evil Uncle:
    • Ami's uncle and aunt, they neglect her and think of her as a money tree.
    • Minato was neglected by his uncle and aunt. They didn't feed him and only took him in for money.
    • Miho's aunt sent her very little money to help raise her little brother despite their grandfather sending lots of money. When the grandfather found out, he cut them off and when Miho's aunt found out that she became a model, she tried to beg for money to restore her and her husband's failing company but Miho refused. The last time they were heard from, Togo and his men took them away.
  • Executive Meddling: An In-Universe example, Iwai is heading a game company that Keigo and his friends joined. He butted in just about every aspect of the games such as rejecting designs by professional illustrators, vetoing characters in favor of his own badly-written ones etc. This resulted in the games having poor reception upon release leading to Keigo quitting.

  • Face of a Thug:
    • "My parents put all their love into my sister, but I was sold to a dangerous man...": Kaede and Mao's parents sold the latter to a scary-faced-businessman named Akio, only for her to find out he was an honest man who wanted to get ahead in his mushroom business by buying her grandmother's land. He even helped her sister Kaede when she ran away from her parents' house when they forced her into sex work to earn them money and reported the couple.
    • "My dad who exposed an injustice was fired from the boss…" Despite looking like a thug, Tadashi's father is actually a fun person to talk with. He also turns out to be a lawyer who wants to help Keita's father to sue his former company for wrongful dismissal.
    • "I stumbled into my ex at work...": Keisuke's father looked like a Yakuza at first glance, unnerving Mihiro as he called her out for insulting his son. However, he is actually the owner of a cleaning company Keisuke works for, and hoped for him to take over someday.
    • "My annoying neighbor told me that her boyfriend was a gangster so I...": Yoko's father looked like a stereotypical Yakuza thug due to his towering build and scarred face, but he is actually part of an anti-gang squad and the scar in his face was from an injury at work. When he shows up, the stuck-up Ms. Makita (who brought up her Yakuza boyfriend to shut Yoko up) is reduced to a begging, sobbing wreck at the sight of him.
  • The Fake Cutie: Aya appears to be a nice young woman who is unfairly bullied by her female coworkers for being pretty, but it's all an act. She is actually a Manipulative Bitch who became known for sleeping with her former boss at her part-time job, dumping him when his ex-wife and her sister held her accountable. As it turns out, she dated Fuyuki for being the only one unaware of it.
  • Fake Defector: In "My husband cheated on me, but then…", Fuyuto pretends to get on his cheating father's good side to gather the evidence for his mother so she can divorce him smoothly.
  • Faked Kidnapping: In Mom started dating this guy, but then…, Yuna and her cousin Akito stage a fake kidnapping to expose Shinya's true personality to Yuna's mother. Unsurprisingly, he is more annoyed than worried by Yuna's "kidnapping" and even shows gratitude towards Akito for "getting rid" of her first.
  • Fallen-on-Hard-Times Job:
  • False Friend:
    • Saho was a friend of Ayumi's since childhood, defending her from bullies. Years later, both friends took different paths, with Ayumi meeting her boyfriend Sora and presenting him to Saho, which led to the latter girl stealing him.
    • Kanae seemed to be friends with her project partner Kyoka, until she said exactly what the latter told her as her own opinion. Two years later, Kyoka finds out that Kanae was about to marry the former's ex-boyfriend Kazuya, but she laughs it off much to Kanae's chagrin. The reason was that Kazuya was a gambling-addicted, abusive jerk.
    • Kazuma only becomes friends with the disabled Shun to make himself feel superior to him and is also one of the people who laughed behind Shun's back when he was forced to confess to his crush as part of a penalty for losing a card game.
  • False Rape Accusation:
  • Family Relationship Switcheroo: In this story, the man Mami thought was her grandfather was actually her biological father, making her and her supposed "father" half-siblings.
  • The Farmer and the Viper: Izawa came up to his CEO friend Tanizaki and asked for a job because he was homeless. Tanizaki obliges, but months later, Izawa took over his company by turning all of his employees against him and having them go on strike.
  • Financial Abuse: In I was short on cash but I decided to a girl in the park and then... , Naoya is a salaryman whose parents leech off of him and physically abuse him whenever he protests.
  • Formerly Fit:
    • Yoshika dumped her boyfriend Kazuyuki for supposedly leeching off her. When they meet again years later, she had gained a lot of weight.
    • Kyoko Shirono was once a beautiful girl in high school. When Kazushi went to his high school reunion years later, she had become overweight.
    • Kaito became fat after binge drinking and eating when he was fired from his modeling job after the video of him about to hit his manager came out. Akihiro himself was fit in the past as a police officer, but his heart condition made it harder for him to exercise, causing him to get fatter and now working as a security guard.
    • Hina gained a lot of weight three years after breaking up with her deaf boyfriend Keita in favor of a rich guy. She begs him to take her back since her new husband wouldn't let her use his money. Turns out Hina tried to divorce him, but he always demanded her to pay all the money she spent while married, forcing her to stay in the marriage and leading to her binge eating from the stress.
