Golden Cloud Pirates | Hell Beast Pirates | Pirates | Marines | Warlords | Other Characters
Golden Cloud Pirates
- Adaptational Heroism: In comparison to the Straw Hat pirates, who operated on Blue-and-Orange Morality when performing their heroism, the Golden Cloud Pirates are decidedly more altruistic in their efforts.
- Adaptational Superpower Change: Instead of Quirks, the crew gets their powers from Devil Fruit and Haki.
- Blood Knight: Most of them are trained fighters and take up this trope to various levels.
- Family of Choice: When you're a crew member, you're family.
- A Lighter Shade of Black: They are pirates, but they go around saving towns and villages from even worse pirates and even the navy sometimes.
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: A bunch of random people inspired by Izuku to come with him after every island.
Starting Trio
"Golden Cloud" Midoriya D. Izuku
Devil Fruit: Mythical Zoan - Saru Saru No Mi (Model: Sun Wukong)
Crew Position: Captain
Bounty: 125,000,000 B~ (40,000,000 at the start)
Midoriya D. Izuku is an amnesiac youth who has decided to become King of the Pirates, setting off with sisters Momo and Yui for the Grand Line.
- Above the Influence: He's an utter gentleman with women, and knows that someone as dangerous as Alvida should not be taken up on her flirting.
- Adaptational Personality Change: He's much more mischievous and outgoing than canon, who was always anxious and stuttering.
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: A few characters have a different relationship with him here than they do in canon.
- For example, here Katsuki finds Izuku wanting to be a pirate to be an insult to a friend he thinks died long ago, but comes around to deciding to be an Admiral capable of fighting him, with a genuine smile on his face.
- He has no idea who his mother is, so when she meets him for the first time since he lost his memory, he doesn't recognize her. But he does start crying without knowing why.
- Adaptational Superpower Change: While he still has the Super Power Lottery, the powers make him more of a Monkey King Lite rather than a Spider-Man Send-Up.
- Affectionate Nickname: Setsuna calls him Cappy.
- Amnesiac Hero: Downplayed. While he doesn't remember much of his past, he does know a lot about the world.
- Animal Motif: Monkeys, with the crew noting he gets himself into trouble like one.
- Arch-Enemy: Eraser and Mic have a vendetta against him, likely due to his Devil Fruit originally belonging to their late friend Shirokuma.
- Balanced Harem: The girls who fall for him agree to a polyamorous relationship and also agree that there is no Top Wife.
- Battle Harem: He's amassing for himself quite the sizable harem that can kick as much ass as him.
- Berserk Button: Authority figures who happen to be Bad Bosses riles him into a murderous rage.
- Big Brother Mentor: Riku outright calls him the cool big brother type with the younger crewmembers.
- Composite Character: He is one with Luffy, being the Captain, having a powerful Devil Fruit, and the dream of being King of the Pirates.
- Constantly Curious: Since he never saw a lot of Devil Fruits besides himself and Yui, he finds himself wanting to study his enemies when they have them.
- Forced Transformation: Whatever happened in the past, he makes it clear that the Devil Fruit he ate was not eaten by choice.
- Green-Eyed Monster: When he hears that Ziggy has had a higher bounty than him, he finds himself slightly jealous.
- Heroic Vow: Lives by the Salvager's Code.
- In-Series Nickname: His enemies/rivals have taken to calling him Golden Cloud.
- Monkey King Lite: His Devil Fruit gives him several powers lifted right out of Journey To The West.
- Mysterious Past: How did he get amnesia? Why does he say he was forced to eat his Devil Fruit? How did he meet Momo and Yui? These questions persist for those who knew him or recognize his power.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives Nemuri a scathing one about the Marines, how they turned a blind eye to pirates like Arlong, or were causing trouble like Eraser.
- Smarter Than You Look: Despite his Adaptational Personality Change, he is still quite smart, able to figure out Eraser's scarf was made with Seastone after one encounter.
- Their First Time: Has his with Yui in Chapter 33 after defeating Enel... and Ethel joins in, making it a threesome.
- Treachery Is a Special Kind of Evil: He has a great disgust for those who abuse their allies. He killed Krieg without a second thought and was ready to repeat Arlong Park with Mr. 5.
"Sword Saint" Kodai Momo
Crew Position: Swordswoman
Bounty: 79,500,000 B~
Yui's sister and one of the first companions Izuku got on his journey for the Grand Line.
- Atrocious Alias: She loathes her nickname. Likely because she doesn't want to be known as a Saint anymore.
- Composite Character: She is one with Zoro, fighting with three Katana like does.
- Everyone Has Standards: She doesn't like Helmeppo, but finds the idea of Morgan attempting to kill his own son disgusting.
- Freudian Excuse: During her fight with Mihawk, she says she doesn't want to be defined by her blood. Given the implication she's a former Celestial Dragons, this makes sense.
- Insult to Rocks: When Ms. Golden Week asks how she'd felt for calling her mother a whore, Momo responds that'd be an insult to whores. A hint that she may be the daughter of Celestial Dragons.
- The Lad-ette: Downplayed. She is proud of her femininity but is not afraid to do crass things like belching.
- No Sense of Direction: Both Yui and Ochako accuse her of having this, citing how she got lost from Noah on Little Garden even though they were walking in a straight line and how she wandered around aimlessly in Skypiea until a south bird picked her up. Momo retorts that she does have a sense of direction... only to walk off a balcony while letting out a cute, girly scream.
- Related in the Adaptation: She and Yui are sisters.
- Shout-Out: She channels her inner Vergil in the first fight with Tashigi.
Kodai Yui
Devil Fruit: Moa Moa No Mi
Crew Position:
Momo's sister and one of the first companions Izuku got on his journey to the Grand Line.
- Harem Seeker: She is always looking for more girls to add to Izuku's harem. When she and Ibara went grocery shopping in Loguetown, Yui checked out Ibara in a way that made Ibara internally admit she felt like she was being appraised like a piece of meat.
- Murder Is the Best Solution: When it comes to Vivi, when there is a problem, she suggests bloody murder. She says the reason why is because she loves her.
- Made a Slave: Chapter 33 implies she has a sigil on her back, meaning she might have been a slave to a Celestial Dragon at some point.
- Rebellious Princess: She might just be a runaway noble.
- Related in the Adaptation: She and Momo are sisters.
- Sizeshifter: Her devil fruit allows her to alter the size of objects.
- Sophisticated as Hell: She's quite eloquent, but is willing to use some truly foul language.
- Their First Time: With Izuku in Chapter 33 after defeating Enel. She even manages to persuade Ethel to join them!
- Ãœbermensch: She finds the idea of Marines Just Following Orders philosophy to be "Sheep." Makes sense that she might be a former Celestial Dragon (or at least a former noble) to have this mindset.
East Blue Recruits
Iida Tenya
Haki: Soru
Crew Position:
A former Navy sailor who joined after dealing with the tyranny of Captain Morgan, and wishing to honor his late brother.
- Abusive Parent: He has some PTSD about his grandfather, especially being left in the air on a few balloons.
- And I Must Scream: He remembers everything Ms. Golden Week's Color swap had him under and is livid she made him attack Momo.
- Big Brother Mentor: He reveres his older brother Tensei, a Rear-Admiral, and was devastated at his loss. The fact he has no idea what exactly happened to him is the first step to his disillusionment with the Marines.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Played for Laughs where when he is in danger, he blurts out how what's happening is similar to something his grandfather did to him.
- Defector from Decadence: Left the Navy after seeing the cruelty of Morgan and finding camaraderie with the Golden Cloud Pirates.
- Don't Tell Mama: He is terrified of his grandfather finding out he joined a pirate crew.

- Berserk Button: She hated pirates due to Arlong murdering her mother. But she gets over it after Izuku kills Arlong.
- Composite Character: Shares traits with Nami, primarily her backstory and money fetish.
- Cuteness Proximity: She is smitten with how adorable Izuku can be by simple things like smiling.

Ibara
Crew Position: Cook
A cook who was riding a boat that bumped into the new Going Merry before joining the crew.
- Berserk Button: Don't waste food in any way in front of her. Jessica at G8 learned that the hard way when all she did was not use all her ingredients.
- Composite Character: She is the crew's cook like Sanji.
- Contrasting Replacement Character: Invoked. The author found it interesting that instead of Jerk with a Heart of Gold Casanova Wannabe like Sanji, the crew got sweet pious Ibara.
- Covert Pervert: She's a lot more subtle about it than Yui and Setsuna, but she can be just as perverted. After Izuku, Yui, and Ethel finished with their threesome and left the room, Ibara went it to sniff the sheets.
- Green Thumb: Her Devil Fruit powers let her control her plant-like hair.
- Like Brother and Sister: She considers Noah to be her brother.
- Supreme Chef: The crew finds her to be the best chef in the world.
- Token Religious Teammate: Downplayed since while she doesn't flaunt it much, she does find the idea of praying to whatever gods there are to be comforting.
- Wrong Context Magic: Her hair is prehensile vines, but she can swim which proves it's not a Devil Fruit. Setsuna even asks her about what kind of power this is, but Ibara becomes skittish about answering.
Noah
Crew Position: Musician
A young boy who serves as Ibara's bodyguard, joining the crew with her thanks to his skill with a flute. Has constant dreams of a mysterious girl.
- Badass Pacifist: He's not a natural fighter like Izuku and the others, not even drawing out Lucky Seven. But he will if need be. And when Mio joins the crew it isn't an issue anymore since the sheath is a normal blade in comparison.
- The Bard: He plays a flute whenever he can, but knows how to fight with a sword.
- Has a Type: After hearing him mumble in his sleep, the crew teases him about having a thing for girls with silver hair and cat ears.
- Lady and Knight: Noah protects Ibara.
- Secret-Keeper: It's implied that Mio told him the truth of where she's from and he has decided to keep it a secret.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: He and Mio are unique in that Mio comes from My Driver Academia's future.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Gender inverted but when one of Enel's angels told him he wanted to add Mio to Enel's harem, Noah was ready to murder the man.
Nejire
Crew Position:
Ochako's sister who could tell she was being blackmailed by Arlong.
- Big Sister Instinct: Very protective of Ochako.
- Constantly Curious: Babbles away at questions till the person she's talking to loses track of them.
- Dissonant Serenity: Always smiling, even when beating people up.
- Related in the Adaptation: Downplayed in that she and Ochako are adopted sisters.
Riku
Crew Position: Weaponsmith
A Nopon living in Loguetown who sold Noah the Lucky Seven blade and joined to witness him in action.
- Mysterious Past: Riku is very private about himself.
- One-Steve Limit: Subverted in that there is another Riku that Ariel met, but he's from somewhere else entirely.
- Vocal Dissonance: Has a uniquely deep voice for a Nopon.

Ariel
Crew Position:
Washed up on Little Garden two years ago, Ariel has joined the crew thinking Izuku is the same one she knew.

- Anti-Magic: Her trident is the same as Sea Stone and can cancel out Devil Fruit powers.
- Cursed with Awesome: She no longer has her mermaid tail, but she can still swim and breathe underwater as if she still had it.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Most people assume she just knew Izuku before he got amnesia, herself included. But the truth is that she comes from a different universe and knew his variant there.
- Fish out of Water: Pun aside, she is in a whole new universe without realizing it.
- Groin Attack: She neutered the giant dog of Skypeia with her trident.
- I'm a Humanitarian: Played for Laughs in that after beating Mr. 3 she wonders if the crew will eat him, pointing out that if humans eat fish, then fish can eat humans. Naturally, this freaks out Izuku.Izuku: I feel that's vaguely racist to fishmen.

- AM/FM Characterization: She has a fondness for Pre-Quirk songs in her universe, which she has been teaching to Noah.
- Honorary Uncle: She considers Kaminari Denki to be her uncle back in her universe.
- Outside-Context Problem: She is the only Blade in the world so the powers she provides to Noah are truly unique.
- Star-Crossed Lovers: She and Noah have met in dreams and are already madly in love with each other. Though only Mio knows she's in a new universe.
Eunie
