    In General
  • A Dog Named "Dog": All of their names are the same as what symbol they are.
  • Anthropomorphic Typography: They are all anthropomorphic numbers and algebraic variables.
  • Fusion Dance: Numbers can fuse to create the result, if a matching symbol is around. Although, when anything is multiplied by Zero, the Zero just absorbs the other number, as shown with Donut.
  • No Biological Sex: They are all sexless and go by they/them pronouns since Four stated in BFB 10 that "they don't have [gender] where he's from".
  • Non-Human Non-Binary: Every one of them is genderless and is referred to with They/Them pronouns, the exceptions being Four, X, Nine, and Fifteen, the first two use He/Him with Fifteen going by She/Her. Nine uses both.
  • Really 700 Years Old: After the creation of the Stone Boot in jacknjellify’s Nine-Thousandth subscriber anniversary, Six mentions that they finished the boot after 28,000 years, outliving literal civilizations.
  • You Are Number 6: Including the one actually called Six, all the numbers are named after the digits they represent.

Single-digit Numbers

    The Zeroes
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zero_1_3.png
Voiced By: Xander Archibald
A group of white-colored number zeroes.
  • Living Prop: Don't do anything much besides standing around and being part of the sub count. They finally do something when nobody can combine into 15 for the 1,500,000 sub count.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: When Six and Nine keep fighting and nobody else is willing to pair up into a 15, the Zeroes finally speak up to announce that they're tired of all of the arguing over the sub count and standing around for three years straight. They introduce a whiteboard to just write the sub count on, and leave.
  • Inexplicably Identical Individuals: The Zeroes all look almost identical, with the only difference being that their expressions are usually always different.

    One
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bfb_25_1_1.png
Voiced By: Emily Pitcher
A blue number one, they don't make much appearances. However, in TPOT 9, they finally make an appearance, and they're seen in the background of many shots.
  • Armless Biped: They're the only number who are lacking limbs like a portion of the objects.
  • Call-Back: Their introduction is similar to Two's, saying "Hey guys!" after appearing.
  • Out of Focus: Along with Three and a few other numbers before Fifteen, they have yet to make an appearance in a subscriber count video. They finally make an appearance in The Stinger of TPOT 9.
  • The Speechless: We haven't seen them talk yet. Until TPOT 9 that is.

    Two
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bfb_2_2.png
A green number two. For tropes regarding Two, see Hosts.

    Three
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3_bfb.png
A red number three, they don't make many appearances.
  • High-Pressure Emotion: Is shown on a page of the Number Playground Chronicles to be quite angry with Five over dropping the ball during catch, with steam even blowing out of his ears.. or head?
  • Out of Focus: Along with One and a few other numbers before Fifteen, they have yet to make an appearance in a subscriber count video.
  • Red Is Violent: They write in the newspaper for an article, and when writing about Five, they get increasingly more and more aggressive as the passage goes on.
  • The Speechless: Like One, we haven't seen them talk yet. At least in a short, that is.

    Four
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/four_intro_7.png
A blue number four. For tropes regarding Four, see Hosts.

    Five
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/five_canon_900k.png
Voiced By: Dane Trent "WoopDoo"
A light-purple number five, Five is very sarcastic and thinks Nine is annoying.
  • The Cynic: See Deadpan Snarker below.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Their whole character is to be sarcastic and deadpan.
  • Idiot Ball: Somehow mistakes Fourteen for Seven despite Fourteen obviously being green.
  • Innocently Insensitive: While unintentionally, when Seven is locked in a cage begging to be let out, Five tells Ten that he is just pulling another trick, unaware that it is actually Seven in there.
  • Jerkass to One: While Five isn't the nicest guy, he seems to dislike Seven a lot, such as not even bothering to apologise to them after trapping them in a cage, or criticising their jokes.
    • He also thinks Nine is annoying, and calls him a baby for complaining about standing in the sub count.
  • Only Sane Man: He treats himself like this, but really he's no smarter than anyone else.
  • Sore Loser: He does not take his battle for permission to meet 10 elimination lightly, as he claims that he didn't want to compete anyway. Justified, as his elimination was unfair and Four wanted him gone for whatever reason.

    Six
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/six_1.png
Voiced By: Florence Chapell
A cyan-blue number six, Six can be vengeful, but aside from that, they are generally harmless.
  • Affably Evil: They are referred to as evil, but they don't really do anything too bad.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Usually around Nine, they do not take them seriously and they're frequently annoyed by them.
  • Fusion Dance: She fuses with Nine to create a substitute 15.
  • Hidden Depths: Seems to enjoy painting, as in "Thanks for 2,000,000 Subscribers" he is seen painting a false landscape Fourteen created.
  • Informed Attribute: Six's own style has yet to be shown.
  • It's All About Me: Claims they have their own style and Nine doesn’t.
  • Jerkass to One: They hate Seven a lot, they broke their leg, pushed them off the balance beam first, and kicked then into the sky. They also call Seven annoying, however, this may be because Seven kicked them into the sky, leaving them there for months.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sure they like revenge and they can be irritable, but they are mostly on good terms with Nine and Ten.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Incredibly strong, they were able to kick Seven into the sky and they also beat Nine up brutally.
  • Scary Teeth: Sometimes portrayed with this including their profile picture.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Described to be evil by Four and enacts sweet revenge onto others who have done them wrong.

    Seven
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_20201003_152927.JPG
Voiced By: Griffin Weber
A dark grey number seven, Seven usually wants attention and can act bratty, but she is mostly pleasant.
  • Attention Whore: All they care about is being the center of attention and absolutely refuses to leave the sub count even though it's Eight's turn.
  • Crocodile Tears: It is implied that they did this so the viewers would subscribe and let them be part of the sub count faster.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Upset by Six hogging the subscriber count, Seven kicked them into the stratosphere, to which Six spent months spinning around the world, once it's Seven turn to shine.
  • Hidden Depths: Seems to have an interest in math, as at the end of the 1,000,000 special, them and X discuss math.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Tries to make jokes to entertain others, and even wishes for friends on Christmas.
  • Friendless Background: In the Counting on Christmas song, she sings about really wanting friends.
  • Lethal Chef: Makes what appears to be soup and feeds it to Four, who instantly gets nauseous. The dish had flies buzzing around it and it was green.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Quite unpleasant to say the least given their spotlight-hogging tendencies combined with their stubbornness, however, she noticeably becomes nicer after *thanks for 900,000 subscribers* and claims that that she "doesn't hold grudges"
  • Only Friend: One seems to be this to Seven, as they claim One is "their BFF" and Seven appears to have no other friends
  • Sudden Anatomy: Briefly grew an ear to hear Four's whispering in "Thanks for 700,000 subscribers!"
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: They seem to have a fear of heights if them being stuck in a tree in fear is anything to go by.

    Eight
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eight_5.png
Voiced By: Sam Thornbury
A grey number eight. Eight is the most cynical of the numbers but is also very wise.
  • Cool Big Bro: Has this dynamic with the others.
  • The Cynic: He never sees the positive side of things, and he is incredibly snarky.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Not to the extent of Five, but they have moments of being snarky.
  • Mellow Fellow: A calm, mature and reasonable dude who is also friendly.
  • Nice Guy: He is easy to get along with, such as when he became quick friends with Ten as they watched Object Show 87 together in their even numbers clubhouse. He also is one of the only characters to go into his sub count spot without force. He also tells the viewers to subscribe but only if they want to.
  • Only Sane Man: Eight is the most mature out of the numbers and the only one to question the non-existent logic on the show.
  • Surrounded by Idiots: Shown in "Thanks for 1,500,000 subscribers" when Seven is busy eating the pawns and Five argues with them.
  • Team Dad: He is one of the most, if not the most mature algebralien out of the ones we've seen.

    Nine
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nine_12.png
Voiced By: Sam Thornbury
A light grey number nine who acts like a cool skateboarder.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Nine wears Cool Shades, and is the only accessory wearer of the numbers.
  • Canon Foreigner: Nine's one of the few numbers not originally created by Cary and Michael Huang. They instead started out as a recommended character by MiitopianOlive before their official debut.
  • Cool Board: Does pretty sick flips with their skateboard.
  • Cool Shades: To quote, "As you can tell by [their] 'Ripper Sunnies', [they're] the awesome one around here".
  • Fusion Dance: They fuse with Six to become a substitute 15.
  • Prone to Tears: Despite their "surfer dude" personality, they can be quite sensitive, as they break down in tears when Six tells them that they have "no style". They have also been said to have cried for three days straight over the loss of the division symbol, as seen in a Freeze-Frame Bonus in "Thanks for 2,000,000 Subscribers!".
  • Remember the New Guy?: Nine makes their first official appearance in "Thanks for 800,000 subscribers!" instead of "X finds his Value" where every number, except Two and the Zeroes, had debuted nearly 12 years ago. Yet, Nine is treated as if they were there the whole time.
  • Surfer Dude: Frequently calls people "Dude" and "Bro".
  • Totally Radical: Uses lingo like "Tubular", "Ripper" and "Fly" that wouldn't be out of place in the nineties.
  • Two Decades Behind: Nine's personality is straight up from the late 1990s and early 2000s, with their outdated slang and too-cool-for-school attitude.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: When they were brought on by Golf Ball to get her onto the winner's seesaw in "Why is the BFDI Mouth everywhere", they never expected the output to go crazy and start eating everybody.

  • Nice Mean And In Between: Out of the three prominent double digit Algebraliens, Fourteen is the mean to Ten's nice and Fifteen's in-between.
  • Not So Above It All: Despite being respected among the others, he still clamours happily to Fifteen.

    Fourteen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/four_teen.png
Voiced By: Ivan Maslov
A green number fourteen who loves to eat people's skin.
  • Ascended Extra: Debuted in the 1,500,000 subscribers video, but doesn't do much apart from mentioning to eat people's skin. This changes when he becomes the main antagonist of the 2,000,000 subscribers video.

  • I'm a Humanitarian: Eats Ten's skin in the 2,000,000 subscribers video, to the horror of the others.
  • Jerkass: Not only do they eat skin, they also pull mean-spirited pranks on the others, however most are harmless, except Ten's Prank.

  • No Sympathy: He eats skin without any thought.
  • The Prankster: He pranks the others in "Thanks for 2,000,000 Subscribers"
  • Token Evil Teammate: The Algebraliens aren't exactly the nicest people around, but Fourteen stands out among them as the only cannibal, which they consider to be morally wrong and locked him up in jail because of it.

    Fifteen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fiften.png
Voiced By: Joseph Pak
A red number fifteen who lives in the forest.
  • The Aloner: She lives in a cabin in the woods, with various signs around it telling people to leave.
  • Berserk Button: Do NOT disrupt her while she's in her cabin, she will not hesitate to burn you alive with her flamethrower.
  • Jerkass: She hates all the algebraliens and doesn't even let Nine get his glasses back.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: They are incredibly rude to the others, however, it is implied that the algebraliens wouldn't leave them alone and they kept pestering her enough to make her want to live alone in a cabin.
  • Kick the Dog: After beating up poor Nine for just wanting her glasses back, she burns her alive with a flamethrower.
  • Lack of Empathy: She hates everyone else, and kills them without a single thought.
  • Nice, Mean, and In-Between: Out of the three prominent double digit Algebraliens, Fourteen is the mean to Ten's nice and Fifteen's in-between.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pi_removebg_preview.png

A violent irrational number who is shown to be quite narcissistic.
  • Ax-Crazy: Obsessed with violence and fighting, as he dismisses all of Pie's attempts to reconcile because he wants fighting to be the solution.
  • Deadpan Snarker: High on the snark, but low on the deadpan. He laughs at Pie's joke about him being "irrational" in her face.
  • Jerkass: He is incredibly rude to Pie for no apparent reason, apart from the fact that they share a birthday.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After being a massive jerk to Pie, he finally gets fused with Zero to become nothing.
  • Narcissist: He believes that his birthday is more important than Pie's.

Other Numbers

    i
Voiced By: N/A
A number that seemingly doesn't exist due to being an imaginary number, but turns out to be Real After All.
  • Alternate Species Counterpart: i is essentially the algebralien version of Nonexisty. Unlike Nonexisty, however, i possesses enough of an existence to do stuff such as toss around Snowball.
  • Sole Survivor: The only member of Pi's team that doesn't get killed by the end of "Pie Vs Pi: The Pi Day Massacre".
  • Token Minority: The only non-irrational number that Pi recruited.
