Earthsong9405 is an artist who is well-known for her fan-art of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She has a variety of art that depict the FIM characters in a more semi-realistic style than in the show. She also has started various AUs which in turn have their own fan-derivatives.

Her Deviantart can be viewed here.

Earthsong9405's works provide examples of:

  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Sunset Shimmer exists but Equestria Girls isn't canon. Instead of running off to another universe, Sunset just ran away somewhere in Equestria.
  • Age Lift:
    • In the Infected AU, Spike is around 14-15, which is a few years older than in the other depictions.
    • The "Fluff AU" ages down Spike, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle by a few years.
  • Alternate Universe Fic:
    • There's a "Guardian AU" where Rarity is an anthropomorphic prisoner, Twilight is her giant, feral unwitting jailer, and the two escape together.
    • The "Infected AU" features everyone as Funny Animals. It's about the main characters surviving during a zombie-like apocalypse.
    • The "Fluff AU" turns the CMC and Spike into humans while the Mane Six become pet animals (and a fox in Rainbow's case).
    • The "Arranged Marriage AU" makes Twilight into a half-Sphynx/half-pony hybrid. She's the youngest daughter of the Saddle Arabian emperor. Twilight is wed to the eldest daughter of the Equestrian royal family, Rarity, in a political move between the two nations.
    • In the "Monster AU", the Mane 6 are monsters who live undercover with Rarity (who's a normal pony). Rainbow is a dragon, Twilight is a werewolf, AJ is a were bear, Pinkie is a changeling, and Fluttershy is a (half-blood) succubus.
    • In the "Bodyguard AU", Rarity is the sole queen of Equestria and Twilight is her bodyguard.
    • In the "Divine AU", Rainbow and Twilight are demigods, Pinkie is a full-on god, while the rest of the mane 6 are mortals.
  • Arranged Marriage: With a world war looming, Equestria and Saddle Arabia decide to arrange the marriage of one of the Saddle Arabian emperor's daughters and the Equestrian king's daughters as a political move.
  • Bodyguard Crush: The focal point of the "Bodyguard AU" is this relationship between Queen Rarity and her bodyguard Twilight.
  • Death by Adaptation: Scootaloo is an orphan. Later on it was revealed that Scootaloo has workaholic parents and is mainly raised by her two aunts.
  • Humanlike Animal Aging: Foals are born helpless and kitten-like but are toddlers by 6 months.
  • Fictional Disability: Scootaloo has a wing disability that prevents her from sustaining flight.
  • Funny Animal: Earthsong9405 depicts characters as having hands but still keeping their hind hooves. The sexual dimorphism is typically also kept to a minimum.
  • Lady and Knight: The "Bodyguard AU" features this in all-but-name with Rarity (a queen) and Twilight (her bodyguard/knight).
  • Parental Abandonment:
    • Applejack, Big Mac, and the unborn Apple Bloom’s father was killed by wolves in front of the former two, and their mother fell ill and died soon after giving birth to Apple Bloom, due to the lingering trauma of her husband’s death.
    • Celestia and Luna were orphaned as children.
    • Scootaloo is an orphan who lives in a foster home with Pipsqueak and a few other foals.
  • Power Tattoo: Gods and demigods in the Goddesses!AU have these across their bodies. Mortals who form pacts with their gods (like Spike) have them too, but not as pronounced, and they mirror the markings of their god.
  • Promotion to Parent: Celestia raised her younger sister Luna for a while after their parents died.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • Surprise from G1 is Pinkie's grandmother. Despite being an Earth pony, Pinkie has some feathers due to her pegasus heritage.
    • Sunburst and Sunset Shimmer are brother and sister.
  • Shout-Out: Shining and Twilight in the Glucose Guardian AU (yes) have matching Mass Effect tattoos. Renegade and Paragon, respectively.
  • Stock Gods: The Goddess AU, unsurprisingly, features a few.
    • Celestia and Luna are goddesses of the sun and moon, as well as magic.
    • Pinkie is the goddess of the wind
    • Rainbow, Twilight and Shining Armor are demigods, called Guardians, and associated with the following domains: Weather, war and courage for Rainbow, magic for Twilight, and protection, magic and courage for Shining.
    • Tirek and Scorpan are co-gods of death, with Scorpan having a Don't Fear the Reaper role, while Tirek is more evil-aligned.
    • Discord is the God of Chaos.
    • Chrysalis is the Love Goddess.
    • Sombra is the War God, although in a more Lawful Neutral way than his canon counterpart.
  • War God: As mentioned above, Sombra takes this role in the Divine AU. Notably, he's far more Lawful Neutral than this trope is usually portrayed, and definitely more so than his canon counterpart. He's the god of war itself, so the victor is of no particular concern. He does occasionally take side in mortal conflicts, but he's more motivated by what side gives him the best offerings. Still, he's completely loyal to the sisters, and Morality is, for some reason, part of his domain.
  • Zombie Fic: The "Infected AU" takes place in a world where there's been a zombie-like plague going on for the past decade.
