Danny Fenton

    Danny Fenton

"Just what kind of dating service is this?!"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dannys.png
The title character of Danny Phantom who, due to Tucker's insistence, joins a dating service program to find a potential match.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: As with Flower princess11's other fics, his faults are downplayed compared to the canon series. He's shown to have matured greatly from his past mistakes and is completely over Paulina. In canon, while he certainly matures, even towards the end he still somewhat desires popularity and at the very least finds Paulina attractive.
    • It can be said that each Danny in every timeline is different just enough to match/choose that one girl out of the others. For example, in Danny and Kitty where multiple Danny’s meet, one expresses shock that the Danny that chose Phantasma is able to stand her father.
      • In the Danny and Angelica and the Danny and Penny verses, he’s more willing to forgive Katie than the others and even admits part of the stuff between them was his fault, expressing regret for not telling her about Xavier’s sooner.
  • Affectionate Nickname:
    • While not technically a nickname, Makoto calls him "Danny-kun". In the timeline where they marry, she calls him "Anata" (which can be translated as "darling") as a term of endearment.
    • In After Many Dates: Danny and Kim, Kim nicknames him "Spaceman."
    • Phantasma seems fond of calling him a "Haunting Hunk."
    • Felicia nicknames him "Blue Eyes" and "Cute Spook."
    • Deadpool calls him "DP."
  • Amazon Chaser: Seeing girls like Kim Possible and Supergirl in action causes Danny to fawn over them.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Was a huge Superman fan, now he's a superhero. Best part? He dates Superman's younger cousin.
  • Attractive Bent Species: Starfire notes his ghost form looks similar to her fellow Tamaraneans, likely as a compliment.
  • Audience Surrogate: For readers more familiar with Danny Phantom than the various works his dates are from, especially with readers of Flower princess11 and her previous works for the series. Danny would be introduced to the girls, their lives, how their series' work and how they handle villains the same way the reader is. He will react in disgust to people like Cree hurting children, be in awe of someone like Supergirl, and caught off-guard by Katie's monstrous transformations the same way anyone unfamiliar would be.
  • Battle Couple: He has teamed up with some of the girls he has dated. He officially became one with Kara Kent/Supergirl.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Hurting little kids, something Cree, Vicky and Katie find out the hard way.
    • He also doesn't take kindly to being disrespected or taken advantage of during dates.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He deeply cares for Danielle. He will show no mercy to anyone who puts her in harm's way or shows no concern for her well-being, as Dijonay, Randall and Vlad will tell anyone.
  • Birds of a Feather: Danny bonds well with the girls he has the most in common with, including fighting villains.
  • Bully Magnet: Dash Baxter and his friends make Danny their favorite punching bag. Too bad for them, a few girls who don't like bullies fall for Danny.
  • Celebrity Is Overrated: Danny becomes annoyed with his new popularity. He does like that his peers respect him and take his side over Dash and the A-Listers, but dislikes that people he does not know are asking for his advice on dating, the number of his previous dates, and acting like they're his friends. Danny would much rather hang out with his real friends and girlfriend and deal with the situation with Vlad.
  • The Charmer: 28 of his dates, as well as a few girls usually associated with them, are drawn to him being a noble and decent guy.
  • Chick Magnet: Most of his dates become interested in him fast thanks to his good nature, sense of humor, patience and the sincere respect he shows them. Other girls not part of the dating service, including Bloom, Minako Aino, Sibella, Savannah Shane, and Camille Leon, have also shown an interest in him. From Amity Park, Sam, Paulina, Valerie, Star and Ember are also interested in him.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: He won't deny how attractive the girls he dates are, especially when they dress to show a lot of skin. However, even when tempted, he makes it clear sex is not something he will consider unless married. He also proves the girls' well-being and relationship with him is more important than any physical gratification.
  • Commonality Connection: He discovers that he has some traits in common with (most of) his dates.
    • He is a teen hero that also has to juggle school and family life, like Kim, Alex, Gwen, Kara, Jenny, Violet, April, Lita/Makoto and Barbara.
    • He has superpowers which he uses to protect others, just like Gwen, Kara, Kitty, Violet and Starfire.
    • He has a secret double life, like Alex, Musa, Cleo, Felicia, Kara, Barbara and Diana.
    • He is connected to the paranormal world, just like Phanty, Spectra, Cleo, Musa and Sabrina.
    • He is half-ghost, while Spectra and Phantasma are full ghosts.
    • He and Daria are both Deadpan Snarkers with little tolerance for jerks.
    • He has expressed a desire to live a normal life, just as Debbie did.
  • Covered in Kisses: More than once, he received more than just a kiss from his dates.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: He usually avoids this, with some exception. He's got no problem with Kim being friends with Ron, but does show anger with Tucker for trying to hit on her.
  • Dating Catwoman: Danny would have had this relationship with Felicia in the timeline where he picked her, before they got married. She seems to sincerely be interested in Danny but is not above manipulating him, giving him a dose of bad luck and causing him problems in order to further her own goals, all while doing so in a flirtatious, playful manner.
  • Deadpan Snarker: A trait of his in canon that still remains. Danny's known for making dry or sarcastic comments during his dates and when trouble's brewing. It's a trait many of his kids would pick up.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Katie Kaboom calls him "Pookie-Bear", something he is not fond of.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Kim has commented once that she finds his excitement upon meeting Stitch cute.
  • Everyone Has Standards
    • Danny knows better than to be involved with women far too old for him.
      • He freaked out when the adult Poison Ivy tried to kiss him on the lips before Batgirl told him she was intending to poison him.
      • Despite finding Shego very attractive, he was appalled that Camille attempted to seduce him while taking on her appearance. And sure enough, once he's of legal age, Shego hitting on him is met more with discomfort than flattery.
    • As much as Danny hates Dash, he does not want him to face Katie's wrath and even tries to warn him, to no avail.
    • Danny understandably doesn't have a high opinion of Dash for being a bully, and all the times Dash bullied him. However, he was shocked that Dash would stoop so low as to steal his and his date Jen's tickets for a local basketball game, though he admitted he should not be surprised. Fed up with Dash's attempts to spoil his dates and now his new low of theft, Danny use his powers to give him slip as he and Jen leave to enjoy the game.
    • Despite becoming a Chick Magnet, once he gets a girlfriend, he stays loyal to her. From examples inn many stories, he doesn't appreciate being hit on by Bonnie or Paulina, he rejects Mandie's marriage offer and refuses to let Sailor Venus kiss him by informing her he's in a relationship.
    • Danny doesn't defend Tucker when Gwen says she heard of him using a fake profile to lure girls in.
  • Evil Me Scares Me: He's still haunted by the memory of his Ultimate Enemy. And Dark Danny returns under a new alias in the timeline he's with Kim.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Downplayed. While Danny only shows interest in girls, those girls include normal humans, aliens, a robot, a mutant, a fairy, a mermaid and other ghosts.
  • Famed In-Story: Just like in canon, Danny is a famous superhero.
  • Family Man: Future Danny, with his chosen girl in almost all timelines, ends up having a family with her that he's devoted to.
  • First Love: For many girls, he's the first boy they come to fall in love with.
  • Foil: He actually is one to some of his dates.
    • Like Kim, he is a teen hero who also has to juggle schoolwork, family and friends. The difference is that Kim is open about her heroics while Danny has a Secret Identity.
    • He and Felicia both have powers and similar color schemes. The difference is that Danny is a superhero and Felicia is a thief.
    • He and Daria are both pretty snarky. However, Danny is better adjusted and more social than Daria.
    • He and Violet are both heroes with energy shields and invisibility powers. Violet was born with her powers and came from a family of heroes, Danny got his in a lab accident and his parents are ghost hunters who don't know.
  • Friendly Rivalry: He and Jake developed a small one in Danny and Kim that their daughters have inherited.
  • Friend to All Living Things: One of the key points Danny put in his bio is that he likes animals.
    • In the original story, he even used his powers to help what he thought was a stray cat out of the garbage. The cat turns out to be Salem. He also stood up for Buttons when his owners wrongly accused him of getting Mindy in trouble.
    • in Danny and Kim, he saved Falsetto's wolfhounds from harm, earning their loyalty over their owner.
    • In Danny and Gwen, he tames and befriends a dog Dr. Animo mutated against its will.
    • In Danny and Starfire, he calms down a frightened kitten, earning more of Starfire's admiration.
  • A God I Am Not: In Danny and Kim. Unlike his twisted older self from a dead timeline, Danny has no grand delusions or desire for godhood. He uses the very power Dark Danny craved to restore all those lost to his reign of destruction, then returned the powers to their rightful places. He's more content to live out his life with the girl he loves than to live forever as a deity.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Danny is repeatedly shown to have his limits.
    • In the A Little Break arc from The Many Dates of Danny Fenton, he reached his limit with Katie after she hurt her brother and gave her an epic tongue lashing like no other.
    • In Danny and Kara, he is genuinely upset with Sam after learning she's been stalking him and Kara out of jealousy and ends their friendship.
    • In Danny and Kim, Danny doesn't hide his lack of respect for either the Fashion Underground or Camille Leon, voicing how lackluster they are as villains, especially Camille, anytime he can.
    • He also had a limit to how much of the Fashion Police he was willing to tolerate before he lost his cool with them. Later, he defies the All for Nothing ending of the Kim Possible episode "Fashion Victim" by threatening to haunt Coco Banana if he chose to reject the stolen plans because he did not want what he experienced to be for nothing.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Half-human and half-ghost.
  • Happily Married: He is destined to fall in love and eventually marry his chosen girl... in every alternate ending.
  • Has a Type: His description says he wants a smart, friendly, independent girl who likes animals, has a good sense of humor and likes listening to music. Most of his dates are genuine Nice Girls who aren't afraid to stand up to bad people, though he tends to show the most interest in active fighters and heroes like Kim, Gwen or Kara.
  • Henpecked Husband: He had a nightmare about becoming one of these to Katie Kaboom.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: While he remains this with Tucker Foley, he's also added Ben Tennyson and Jake Long as longtime friends since his teenage years.
  • His Heart Will Go On: In several stories after Danny finds out about Sam's crush on him, he admits he could have reciprocated her feelings had he known earlier, but he's since moved on with his chosen girl. Tucker (and sometimes Jazz) even points out that Sam couldn't have expected Danny to wait forever for her to finally make a move.
  • Hunk: In the epilogues of each timeline, he's said to be much taller and more muscular than he was as a teen. Fighting evil has done wonders for him.
  • Immune to Mind Control: His ghost powers render him immune to Chibiusa's hypnosis, something that caught her off-guard.
  • Informed Attractiveness: As far as the art style from his series went, Danny was fairly attractive but few girls ever really showed any interest in him. Here, most of his dates found him to be very cute. He's also said to have dimples, which were not shown at all during the cartoon. To be fair, most of his dates find his personality to be attractive, more than anything.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: Girls like Kim prefer looking into them over his green ghost eyes.
  • Insecure Love Interest: Danny is genuinely surprised that 28 out of 30 girls had expressed interest in him, even though a good amount are either older than him or unaware of his secret identity. He even questions Katie, whom he's afraid of, why she'd want him for a boyfriend since he admits he's not the most attractive or popular. Fortunately, by the time he's made his choice, he gets over this.
    • The issue briefly comes back in Danny and Starfire, when he gets worried that Starfire, being an alien princess and a superhero with no secret identity, wouldn't want to be seen with the loser Danny is when not being Phantom. It ends when she reassures him her only concern is that her being seen with both Phantom and Fenton would jeopardize his secret identity.
  • Insistent Terminology: In Danny and Kara, he denies being a "fanboy" of Superman, claiming that he just "greatly admires the guy".
  • Interrupted Declaration of Love: When Danny attempted to tell Kim his secret, he got tongue-tied and accidentally admitted he loved her first. He didn't get a chance to reveal himself as Kim kissed him deeply and admitted she loves him too.
  • Interspecies Romance: Danny finds out that he's dating an alien, a ghost, a robot and at least one half-alien, among other things.
  • Jerkass to One: Downplayed. Danny isn't acting cruel or vindictive but he's clearly not very friendly to Katie post-main story.
  • Jerkass Realization: In Danny and Kitty, Katie rightfully points out that Danny had made her like him because he never told her how he really felt about her during their date and spent the entire time actively trying to please her so she wouldn't get mad again. She calls him a coward and tells him that if he had been honest with her and told her about Xavier's school earlier, then she would've left him alone and might not have injured her brother. After hearing her rant, Danny feels bad about treating Katie like a monster over something she couldn't control and his overall hostility in addition to the points she made.
  • Karmic Jackpot: No matter what timeline, Danny treating his date with kindness will ultimately lead to a happy relationship, and eventually marriage and children.
  • Likes Older Women: Quite a few of the girls Danny meets through the dating service are at least a year or two older than him—despite that, they all quickly became genuinely interested in Danny (with the exception of Cree and Vicky).
  • Love at First Sight: There's usually a level of attraction once Danny and his dates meet face to face. Case in point, on his first date, he felt uninterested. Then he saw what Kim looked like and was shocked at how pretty she was before becoming optimistic about the date.
  • Morality Pet: Some of the less heroic girls he knows, like Angelica and Felicia, tend to treat him better than they normally would others and seem to try and be better people as a result.
  • Nice Guy: Unless the girl has done something genuinely bad, Danny will go out of his way to treat his date kindly and make sure they enjoy their time together. Girls like Kim, Kara, Violet and Jen quickly become interested in him because of this.
  • No Guy Wants to Be Chased: Played With. Danny is terrified when Katie begins pursuing him, though it's more to the fact that she can transform into a near-unstoppable monster when angered (and the fact that she is very clingy) that terrifies him. Subverted with his other dates, since he doesn't seem to mind when they take the initiative.
  • Non Human Lover Reveal: Most of his dates don't find out about his being half-ghost until after they've become involved with him.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: As the half-ghost superhero to Amity Park, Danny is plenty powerful and has defeated several dangerous ghosts. However, due to the setting having characters from other superhero franchises, like DC and Marvel, he's only okay when paired with or against anyone else.
  • Oblivious to Love: As usual, Danny is oblivious to Sam's feelings for him. The sequel and stories based on alternate endings other than the one where he chooses Kim have him unknowingly putting Tucker in danger by letting Sam know he's the one who talked Danny into joining the dating service. In Danny and Kim, he thinks Kim being a cheerleader is Sam's only reason to dislike her. Danny always needs to be told upfront about Sam's crush, by her or someone else, for it to fully sink in.
  • Odd Friendship: In many timelines, he becomes friends with the insane and psychotic Deadpool, someone very few people, including the girls Danny chooses, have any fondness for. Granted, this is less surprising when you see that Deadpool tends to treat Danny in a very friendly if off-kilter manner, and Danny is oblivious to some of Deadpool's less savory traits.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In Danny and Kim, he makes a very uncharacteristic death threat to Thanatos for his threats to murder Kim.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: He always brings this up whenever his girlfriend finds he used to be normal before gaining his powers.
  • Peerless Love Interest: Katie, before things went south, had an idealized image of Danny as a boyfriend to the point of being unrealistic.
  • Platonic Life-Partners:
    • Girls he doesn't pick as his date end up becoming among his closest platonic friends, which include Kim Possible, Supergirl and Starfire.
    • He ends developing this with his two love interests from the series, Sam and Valerie. Sam would eventually come to accept she and Danny are just friends, while Valerie is a little quicker.
    • From the Sailor Guardians, due to his role as a mutual friend and a Shipper on Deck for her and Ben, Danny becomes good friends with Ami Mizuno.
  • The Power of Love: In Danny and Kim, Danny was able to feel Kim's kiss when he was in a coma, and hearing her life was in danger is what caused him to wake up. Kim is a firm believer of this being the cause of how Danny is able to overcome obstacles, regardless of the situation.
  • Power Perversion Potential: Once overshadowed Shego in After Many Dates: Danny and Kim and took a moment to admire her figure before needing to go help Kim.
  • Rags to Royalty: While almost all timelines feature Danny becoming rich and famous thanks to royalties, two of the girls he dated are princesses (Starfire is the Princess of Tamaran and Makoto is the Princess of Jupiter) and that makes him a royal consort in each timeline where he chooses and eventually marries one of them. In Makoto's case, the title doesn't have much meaning since the Kingdom of Jupiter was destroyed during her past life.
  • Rejected Apology: In many stories where Katie finally apologizes for her actions, he's too unsettled by her presence to accept it, but he doesn't reject it either.
  • Ridiculously Successful Future Self: In practically every timeline, after he saves the world from the Disasteroid, he and his family become rich and famous for royalties from his merchandise and his parents' tech selling.
  • Second Love: Many girls like Violet and Musa are suffering from recents breakups when they meet him.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Danny learns some of his dates also have double lives as heroes but not all of them know he's aware.
  • Shipper on Deck:
    • In the timeline with Makoto Kino, Danny becomes very eager to see Ben Tennyson and Ami Mizuno become a couple. When Ben asks if Motoki is "just a friend" to Ami, Danny playfully asks if he's jealous.
    • In the timeline with Kim Possible, he teases their daughter Annie's obvious growing interest in RJ, Ron's son with Yori.
  • Strong and Skilled: Danny and Kim has Danny getting some combat training from Kim, which leads to him becoming this. His powers combined with his fight capabilities allow him to beat Vlad more solidly in a fight then ever before.
  • Super Mode: In the final battle with Thanatos/Dark Danny in Danny and Kim, absorbing the orb turned Danny into a near-god level being. After absorbing all of the power from Dark Danny, his transformation became so extreme that not only does he No-Sell the Ghostly Wail, but the ghostly rings from his transformation that usually just knock opponents back is powered up enough to harm Dark Danny.
  • The One That Got Away: Once he's gotten a girlfriend or married, the other girls are willing accept it (ultimately just wanting him to be happy) but are still a little disappointed that he chose someone else (some more than others).
  • Trauma Button: Seeing Katie post-main story, just hearing her name or mentioning "tunnel of love". Even though he knows she's remorseful for her actions, he can't bring himself to truly forgive her (at least not yet).
  • Turned Off By The Jerkass: Danny doesn't hesitate to cancel his dates with Cree and Vicky after learning that they're child abusers. He gives them a score of zero, something he did for no other girl, simply because he found their abuse of children that reprehensible.
  • Understanding Boyfriend: Even when blind dating, Danny will show his dates respect and concern for their troubles and go the extra mile for them.
  • What Beautiful Eyes!: Some of his dates notice that he has nice, big blue eyes.
  • Wrong Assumption: Danny thought that Katie just didn't care about the destruction she caused and willingly lashed out at people when upset, calling her a monster and a bully. However, the truth is that due to her mutation, Katie's temperament and self-control were unstable and, along with her family not telling her about her powers, she never had any recollection of what she did when transforming or even transforming at all before Danny lashed out at her at the carnival. Though to be fair, Katie’s Split Personality monster half did seem intelligent enough, but it's because of that Danny didn't bother trying to actually talk with Katie or tell her about Xavier's sooner, thinking she was too "crazy" to reason with.
    • Though Danny does forgive Katie in some universes, it's unknown if he ever finds out that she was in the dark about her dangerous side.
    • In Danny and Penny, Danny meets a version of himself in an alternate timeline that told Katie about Xavier's right after their first date and therefore DIDN'T cause the whole carnival incident. He facepalms after realizing this.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: He won't hurt a normal human child. So when Randall tries to tell someone he saw Danielle transform, Danny can't hurt him but he does threaten public humiliation if he tries it. He also wouldn't harm Shingo for being a brat to Usagi, though he wasn't against spooking him with the appearance of a ghost.

His Dates

Thanks to the website, girls from different shows, films and franchises went on blind dates with Danny. Here are all of them.
Tropes relating to all or most of them
  • Babies Ever After: Save for Cree and Vicky, all of the dates will have potential futures where they settle down with Danny and have children.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: A lot of his dates are like this, some more than others.
  • Commonality Connection: Danny and his dates truly bond when they find they have something in common.
  • Dark Action Girl: Cree, Vicky and Felicia are villains who can hold their own in a fight.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: While the ones who do get chosen by Danny are usually able to get along with others, as shown below, Deadpool's antics even without involving his mercenary job tend to make them less forgiving or accepting of him.
  • Give Geeks a Chance: Danny isn't exactly popular in his own school, but is able to win over his dates due to his good nature and charisma.
  • Has a Type: One of the requirements of the site is to find a boy who matches their specific interests. Even if Danny doesn't accurately fit all the criteria, most of them still fall for him because one of their needs is someone who respects them.
  • Hero of Another Story: Many of them are heroines who have their own adventures unconnected to Danny.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Unlike Sam (who ends up having falling out with Danny before eventually patching things up with him), when the girls learn that Danny chose someone else over them, they're (mostly) willing to accept it and tell Danny (and whomever his chosen girl ends up being) that they just want him to be happy. In fact, in most timelines, the girls he met through the dating services end up becoming close friends with each other.
  • Jerkass to One: Most if not all share an intense dislike of Deadpool, wishing Danny did not become friends with him.
  • Love Interest: All but three of them become girls Danny falls for in separate timelines. Though in one, he forgives Katie and the two fall in love for real.
  • Magical Girlfriend: Some of the girls have magical powers.
  • Mirror Character: All 28 of the girls who picked Danny are different in many ways, but they all share a fondness for a boy they just met and fall for him after getting to know him. Also, they all also share a dislike of Deadpool and express disapproval of Danny being friends with him.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Excluding Cree and Vicky, both of whom are evil Child Haters, all of Danny's dates fell for him due to his good nature. There are standout examples below.
  • Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: Very downplayed. Danny is a fairly average if cute-looking teen boy, but most of his dates are nothing less than attractive, with a few even described as Head-Turning Beauties.
    • Then again, each epilogue shows that Danny becomes a Hunk when he grows up, so the trope no longer applies once he and his chosen girl do get married.

    Kim Possible
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kim_possible_2106.jpg

"Excuse me, are you D-Fenton?"

From the series of the same name, Kim becomes involved in the program after Ron pestered her into joining him on it. She meets Danny on their first date and the two hit it off pretty well.

  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: She's said to be just as beautiful as a teen even after she gave birth to Annie.
  • Academic Athlete: She's a cheerleader, a martial artist and a straight-A student who can kick butt, spar with Danny and tutor him.
  • The Ace: Like her canon self, she's a skilled martial artist, straight-A student, and head cheerleader.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In the timeline where Danny chooses her out of all the girls he met through the dating service, this ultimately means that Kim never became romantically involved with Ron.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Ron calls her "KP", her father calls her "Kimmie-Cub", while Danny (if they become a couple) calls her "Blue Fox" after her Animalogy sign.
  • Age Lift: Downplayed, as Kim's exact age was never specified in-universe during the first season of her series. Most agree she was either 14 or 15 in Season 1. Here, she's confirmed to be 14 when she meets Danny.
  • Badass Normal: She can hold her own without superpowers, something that Danny finds makes her cool. It especially helps in their spin-off. In the Danny and Kara spinoff, she's good enough to have a chance to join the Justice League if they expand. Superman only objects on the grounds that she has no Secret Identity and is technically a mercenary.
  • Battle Couple: With Danny in After Many Dates: Danny and Kim, fighting bad guys together before and after he trusts her with his secret.
  • Berserk Button: Her spin-off shows that she hates being stereotyped as a dumb, Cruel Cheerleader, and makes it clear she earned her straight-As on her own merit.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She tries not to be, but her legendary "jelling" will crop up when another girl shows an interest in Danny.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She's known to dish out the same kind of dry humor and sarcasm in fights and mundane situations like Danny. Their daughter had little trouble picking this up.
  • Disapproving Look: By the time she and Danny have four kids, she's developed this, which is called the "mom look". It counters the puppy dog pout, which all of them have developed, and is enough to terrify her kids into stopping whatever they're doing should it be wrong. This is also how she is able to tell the real Annie from a Bebe using a clone body, as the clone did not have the same flinching reaction as the real one.
  • Dude Magnet: Outside of the obvious Ron Stoppable and Danny Fenton, Dash Baxter, Tucker Foley and Ben Tennyson are also attracted to her.
  • First Girl Wins: After Many Dates: Danny and Kim is about if Danny chose her instead of Kara, since they both made a strong first impression.
  • First Love: As far as blind dates went, Kim left such an impact that Danny still thought fondly of her afterwards.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Danny was only planning to do the first trial date, and was reluctant to be there. All it took was one look at Kim to change his tune.
  • Love at First Sight: Like Danny, Kim was quickly interested in him once she got a good look at him.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Many chapters will have her with Danny in her cheerleader outfit, reminding that she's very attractive.
  • Nice Girl: She can be a bit pushy and has moments of jealousy, but she's undoubtedly a good person.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Kim may be a cheerleader, but she averts the negative stereotypes of one (snooty and catty behavior, stupidity), which makes her a far better match for Danny than Paulina ever was.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Her trademark "puppy dog pout", which Danny is powerless to resist. She even teaches it to Danielle. All four of his children with her have developed it and, when combined with their mother, he's unable to resist. He's even admitted it's the one thing his ghost powers have no counter against.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Kim has red hair, green eyes, and is one of the girls Danny had the most interest in.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Kim fell for Danny quickly due to his good nature and acceptance of her hobby of saving the world. She was upset he was hiding his powers from her, but soon fell more in love upon seeing how he's utterly devoted to doing good, showing he's still the same sweet and caring guy she came to fall for.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: At first, Danny wanted to just go on one date but his experience with Kim made him change his mind.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: She's protective of Danny, including when other girls hit on him.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In Chapter 11 of Danny and Kim, Kim reaches her Rage Breaking Point from Sam's stalking and hypocritical attitude.

    Alex

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alex_totally_spies.jpg
One of three WOOHP agents, Alex goes out with Danny while dealing with Tim Scam.
  • Badass Adorable: She is a very nice, sweet girl and a spy who can kick serious butt, both of which interest Danny.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Alex has a massive crush on Danny and was happy to see him again, though was disappointed to learn that he has a girlfriend. However, when her friend Clover suggests that she make a move on Danny while his girlfriend was out of town, Alex is shocked that Clover would suggest she do something like that. Even when her friend Samantha pointed out that Alex hasn't stopped talking about Danny since the dating service, Alex is still upset that Clover would suggest she steal someone else boyfriend. Even though she still likes Danny, she's uncomfortable with the thought of stealing him from another girl.
  • Foil: Directly towards Kim. Kim is a heroine who is independent, well-known and gets hired to fight bad guys while leading her own team. Alex is a secret agent and a member of a team who fights bad guys for their organization. Their personalities are foils as well, as Kim is a driven girl while Alex is more childish.
  • Nice Girl: She is a very sweet, peppy girl.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: Just like in canon.
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: Unaware Danny knows about her secret, she will immediately take whatever he "thinks" she was doing while she was gone as her alibi.
  • Unknown Rival: She and the rest of WOOHP have a dislike of Kim Possible, since she's an independent and an "amateur" that still manages to get things done more effectively.

    Gwen Tennyson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uafgwen_6082.jpg
Ben Tennyson's cousin during their battles with the Highbreed, Gwen went out on a date for her friend and finds someone she thinks is ironically more mature than the older Kevin.
  • The Ace: She's a straight-A student and, to Sam's surprise, becomes interested in a C-student who's a year younger.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Averted. She can sense Sam's feelings for Danny and is aware there is some level of mutual interest, but she's confident in her relationship with Danny as he chose Gwen on his own. That said, she does warn Danny to never mention other girls in bikinis around her.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Gwen's understandably angry with Sam for spying on her and Danny's dates and for accidentally getting her identity revealed to The Guys In White. However, she took no joy when Danny revealed that he ended his friendship with Sam and was sympathetic towards the latter when Gwen saw how sad she was. Later, when talking to Danny about forgiving Sam, Danny compared their former friendship to his archenemy Vlad Master's former friendship with his dad Jack Fenton—Gwen tells Danny that she doesn't think that Sam could be that petty.
  • Foil: To Kim Possible—while they're both redheads with green eyes who know martial arts, fight crime and are aces in their respective schools, Kim doesn't have superpowers and fights relatively normal villains while Gwen (due to her alien heritage) has superpowers and mostly fights aliens.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Half-human and half-anodyte alien.
  • Has a Type: Between Kevin and Danny, she seems to have a preference to boys with black hair.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Danny's jaw drops when he sees Gwen in a bikini.
  • Irony: She finds the boy a year younger than her more mature than the boy who's a year older than her.
  • Significant Green Eyed Red Head: Like Kim, she has red hair, green eyes and she is considered very attractive.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She grew to like Danny for being a genuine Nice Guy with superpowers, and seeing him tame a mutant dog and devote time to picking up litter made her feel like she made the right choice.

    Emma Mackenzie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stoked_emma_6102.jpg
A surfer girl from Canada, Emma wanted to get paired with her crush. Instead, she's paired with a much younger boy, one who helps her feel better about herself.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Emma picks Danny as her match because he was nothing but nice to her during their date and helped her feel better about Ty and in one timeline, she falls in love with him and they get married as adults.
  • Hopeless Suitor: She's unable to get Ty's interest. She signed up for the dating service in hopes of getting paired with him, but got Danny instead. However, he earns her interest when he tells her that Ty isn't worthy of her if he can't see how great she is.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Emma only agreed to the dating service to be paired with her crush. However, she finds that Danny is understanding of her issues and convinces her that she's a great girl that her crush doesn't deserve if he can't see that. She thinks that if Danny weren't younger, she might have chosen him right away.

    Diana Lombard
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/diana_lombard.png
The stepsister of an eccentric paranormal investigator, Diana is unaware that her date is a half-ghost superhero.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Just like in canon, Diana has a hard time believing in the paranormal like ghosts, despite having come in contact with them numerous times, preferring to think up more mundane solutions.
  • Foil: With Alex. Both of them are secret agents, but Alex is a spy who is more child-like and energetic while Diana is a paranormal investigator who is more mature and reserved.
  • Opposites Attract: Diana is an intellectual, reserved and mature 16-year-old straight-A student while Danny is an easygoing 14-year-old C-student. Nevertheless, they become fond of each other and Diana was interested in him enough to choose him.

    Sabrina Spellman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sabrinaspellman.png
The half-witch girl of Greendale who quickly becomes fond of Danny after learning each other's secret and later getting revenge on Vlad.
  • Accidental Kiss: Between Danny and Sabrina, in the chapter "A BeWITCHing Evening".
  • Affectionate Nickname: While not really nicknames, Danny and Sabrina seem partial to calling each other Mr. Phantom and Ms. Spellman.
  • Alliterative Name: Sabrina Spellman.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Danny get along well after learning each other's supernatural secrets.
  • Commonality Connection: Sabrina and Danny bond over being teenagers with supernatural abilities who live secret lives.
  • Cute Witch: She's half-witch and Danny thinks she's pretty.
  • Foil: To Gwen. Both have ancestry that grants them powers. Gwen has mana powers via her alien grandmother and is a secret superhero. Sabrina inherits her father's magical side and is trying to be a normal girl.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Just like in canon, she is a very sweet girl, and a natural blonde.
  • Magical Girlfriend: She's a cute witch that will be Danny's love interest in one timeline.
  • Nice Girl: Like in canon, she is a very nice, friendly young witch, with no maliciousness in her being.
  • Second Love: In two timelines, she ends up being the second person Jake Long falls for.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She begins to bond with Danny after learning each other's secrets, as well as appreciating his good nature and sense of humor.

    Kara Kent
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/supergirl_dcau.png
The younger cousin of the Man of Steel and a world-famous superheroine who takes a liking towards the half-ghost hero. Before meeting her, Danny was already a fan of Kara and her cousin, and was infatuated with her before he became a superhero himself.
  • 100% Heroism Rating: She's easily the most beloved and respected heroine Danny has dated. Even Clingy Jealous Girl Sam, who held a dislike for her bright colors, respects Supergirl.
  • All-Loving Hero: She is very optimistic and always tries to see the best in everyone.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: She is a superhero and all-around Nice Girl who is stated to be very pretty.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Never threaten her loved ones, especially her new boyfriend.
    • She also doesn't like people violating her privacy.
    • Deadpool, just Deadpool. Because he stalks Wonder Woman, Kara finds him annoying and aggravating.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She is a very sweet, genial person but piss her off, especially by messing with her loved ones, and you will regret it.
  • Big Brother Worship: Just like in canon, she looks up to her cousin and tries to follow his examples.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Yes, she is physically younger than Superman, but is chronologically older than him and she expresses worry that Vlad knowing her secret identity would lead to him figuring out Clark's and putting him in danger.
  • Big Eater: Thanks to Kryptonian metabolism, she can eat more than most humans. Case in point, when she was having dinner with Danny's family, she ate as much, if not more than Jack did.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Danny bond over the fact that they are both superheroes who have to juggle secret identities.
  • Bully Hunter: She hates bullies and restrained Dash when he tried to attack Danny. Also, when she learns about Mr. Lancer's Double Standard regarding his students, she calls him out for being a bad teacher and threatens to report him.
  • Celeb Crush: She was Danny's even before he became a superhero.
  • Clark Kenting: Like her cousin, she wears glasses when in public. She also has her hair different and wears baggier clothes.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Downplayed and Zigzagged. While she is fully aware of Sam's feelings for Danny, Kara is not threatened by her, as she knows Danny chose her on his own will and was even willing to compromise and let them remain friends. If anything, she was more bothered by the fact that Sam was stalking her than by the fact that Sam's romantically interested in her boyfriend.
    • She did playfully threaten to throw Danny into deep space if he cheats on her, though her tone makes it clear she was just joking.
  • Composite Character: She embodies many different aspects of previous incarnations of herself. She goes by Kara Kent, wears glasses like her cousin when out in public, has a close friendship with Jimmy Olsen and is a Big Eater.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • She tries to be patient and friendly to most people, even if they are rude to her like Sam was. However, Deadpool proves to be too aggravating, even for her.
    • She seems okay with Danny being friends with his former dates, such as Kitty, so long as they respect boundaries like Danny being off-limits for kissing.
  • First Love: Played With. Danny claims he has been a fan of Supergirl since at least the 8th grade and was infatuated with her since then.
  • Foil To most of the dates before her.
    • To Kim, as a First Love. Kim is a powerless heroine with no secret identity and was the first of Danny's dates, as well as the first he grew fond of. Kara was his Celeb Crush before meeting her, and she's an alien heroine with a secret identity.
    • To Gwen. They both have cousins who are respected superheroes. Gwen is half-alien and a more mature girl, Kara is full alien and a much sweeter, bubbly person.
    • To Sabrina. Both of them are blondes and the first dates to kiss Danny. Sabrina's was an accident, Kara's wasn't.
  • Freudian Excuse: Kara's cheerful demeanor stems from losing her family and world the night she and her parents had an argument. Her devotion to Danny and being a superhero are a result of her not wanting to lose her new home or anyone else she comes to love.
  • Glasses And Pony Tail Cover Up: Part of her civilian disguise consists of wearing glasses and keeping her hair in a ponytail.
  • The Glasses Come Off: The moment something goes wrong, she takes her glasses off.
  • Good Is Not Nice: She actually is a very nice, well-meaning person who is open and friendly to most even outside of costume, but she does have her limits with how much she will take from others and won't hesitate to deal with them, as Dash, Lancer and Sam find out the hard way.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She's a blonde and a very sweet girl.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • As Sam discovers, Kara may be a loving and caring person, but she's very sad and broken on the inside over losing her parents and home world in one night and being stuck as a 13-year-old for 20 years.
    • It's revealed in Danny and Kara that she is sympathetic to mutant kind and hates the MRD for being "armored bigots".
  • Human Aliens: Due to being Kryptonian, she and her cousin can easily pass for humans.
  • Indifferent Beauty: Downplayed and subverted. In her civilian state, it's been stated that Kara dresses less-than-fashionably, but is still very pretty physically. When she is in her Supergirl state, she is considered a knockout. She did make an effort to dress nicely when having dinner with Danny's parents.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Played with and zigzagged. As Kara Kent (who only wears glasses and dresses conservatively to differ the two), she is still considered pretty but her Supergirl persona is practically at world-class beauty levels.
  • Nice Girl: There's barely a negative bone in her body. If anything, she is probably a realistic take on this trope. While she is very kind and polite to most people she meets, she has a limit on how much she is willing to take from Jerkasses. She tries to remain calm, give fair warnings and displays patience but when pushed too far, she won't hesitate to deal with them in her own way.
  • Not So Above It All: As amazing as a heroine as she is, she is still a teenage girl and can't resist going to a party or getting in friendly bets with others her age.
  • Official Couple: For the main timeline, Kara's the one Danny chooses out of all the girls he met through the dating service.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her parents (and most of the rest of her race) were wiped out when Krypton was destroyed.
  • Peerless Love Interest: Danny had a very high opinion of Kara before they would start dating. He was starstruck and enamored with her for being a famous superheroine and part of the Justice League. However, he does come to like her for more sincere reasons after getting to know her better.
  • Power Perversion Potential: In Danny and Kara', Danny expresses worry she might use her X-ray vision on him. She reacts by pretending to do so. She then admits she was kidding and would never even consider it.
  • Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Sam suspected her of being a threat, but finds nothing that even hinted at such a thing.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She fell fast for Danny Fenton, a Nice Guy and a fellow superhero who understands the troubles of saving lives and living a double life.
  • Stepford Smiler: A downplayed example since she tries to act positive in most situations but as shown during her dinner with the Fenton's, she still misses her parents and her old life on Krypton.
  • Super-Senses: She has advanced hearing and vision, which comes in handy when she and Danny are facing non-ghostly enemies together.
  • Sweet Tooth: She has a fondness for sweets, including ice cream.
  • Tender Tears: Kara is able to deliver her backstory even as tears fall down her face.
  • Trauma Button: Being reminded of her parents or the destruction of Krypton can make the usually cheerful and vivacious Supergirl break down in tears.
  • Understanding Boyfriend: A female version as so far, she has been very patient and understanding in regards to her relationship with Danny.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: In Danny and Kara, she becomes very protective of Danny, even if she knows he is strong on his own.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She calls out Sam for her constant spying on her, even when she denies it in Danny's presence.

    Jenny Wakemen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jenny_wiki_icon.png
A female robot and the protector of Tremerton. Jenny goes on the dating service, unaware that it was one of Sheldon's attempts to date her, but by stroke of luck, wound up going out with Danny.
  • Artificial Family Member: Her creator, Nora Wakeman, is seen as her mother.
  • Fem Bot: The website didn't say Danny's dates would all be organic girls.
  • Nice Girl: Barring how aggravating Sheldon's affections can be, she's normally a nice enough person to be friends with.
  • Token Robot: The one robot of all of Danny's dates. Their alternate ending made it clear that means they have to adopt, as they can't have kids of their own.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Played With. Danny immediately regrets offending Jenny after he accidentally makes an insensitive comment about her being a robot and doesn't hesitate to apologize to her once it sinks in that she has feelings.

    Cree Lincoln
The older sister of one of the KND agents. She hates kids, and is unaware she's going out with a superhero.
  • Affably Evil: Cree at the start of her date, though she drops the Affably part after Danny dumps her upon discovering her child-hating nature.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She acts like a nice girl, but hints she's not pleasant were shown when she was rude to a little girl looking for her toy while Danny was willing to assist.
  • Child Hater: Danny finds out and expresses disgust with her and leaves before their food even arrived.
  • Depending on the Writer: In Danny and Kim by NeoMark, it is revealed that the war between kids and adults was initiated by Bat-Mite and Mxyzptlk and Cree's horrified realization causes her Heel–Face Turn. But in Danny and Kitty by 61394, the KND is a legitimate organization and Cree becomes a full-blown villainess, desiring revenge on Danny for getting her blacklisted from You+Me=Love after their date.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: It's implied the teenagers in her town all hate kids, so she's baffled to see another teenager who doesn't share that belief.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: After learning the truth about the war she was involved in, Cree wanted to try and make things up with her sister, but ends up arrested and locked up for five years before she gets the chance.
  • Heel Realization: In "Danny and Kim", she regrets all the bad things she did upon learning Bat-Mite and Mr. Mxyzptlk started the war she got roped into.
  • Un Wanted Spouse: The Snippets show that she has entered into a relationship with Maurice, just like in canon. It is also shown that like in canon, Maurice is only dating her due to being an undercover operative for the KND and secretly hates her for her child-hating attitude. Averted in Danny and Kim, years after she has learned the error of her ways and gotten out of prison, in which she has not only made amends with her sister (who got married to Numbuh 2), but she's now Happily Married to Maurice.

    Violet Parr
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/profile___violet_parr.jpg
The sole daughter of the Parr family. She's recently broken up with her boyfriend Tony. However, Danny might be someone who can help her feel better.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: She starts out very shy and reserved due to recently breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, but she becomes more relaxed and outgoing with Danny when he shows her sympathy and helps her get her mind off him.
  • Dramatic Irony: In the main story, Danny never learns her superhero identity. Only the alternate ending he chooses her and Danny and Kim does he find out.
  • The First Cut Is the Deepest: She's heartbroken from breaking up with Tony, but Danny quickly finds a place in her heart thanks to his kindness.
  • Foil: To Kim as one of the heroic Disney girls Danny dates. Both of heroines and the eldest daughters of their families. Kim's parents are scientists who are open to what their daughter does, Violet's are former superheroes who involve her in their adventures. Kim is a cheerleader, popular, and pretty confident in herself. Violet is a less socially accepted girl who is lacking in confidence.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Violet has no superhero alias in canon, so she was given the fanmade one of "Invisi-Girl".
  • Shrinking Violet: She starts out being as reserved and shy as she was in the first Incredibles film. Thankfully, getting close to Danny helps her regain her confidence.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She soon becomes more comfortable with Danny for showing her sympathy for he broken heart and his good nature and humor. Before the end of their date, she's much happier and shows more of an interest in him.

    Jen Masterson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6teenjen.jpg
One of 6 friends who work at a galleria in Canada, Jen finds herself disappointed being paired with someone younger who isn't into sports, at least until Dash Baxter came along.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: While skeptical of Danny at first, he quickly earns Jen's favor after he didn't rat her out for the prank they pulled on Dash.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She'd probably be more interested in Dash Baxter for being a jock (and a quarterback), but she was quickly turned off by his bullying Danny in public and sleazy attempts to hit on her.
  • Foil:
    • To the girl Danny met previously, Violet. Both of them didn't start out exactly bonding with Danny at first, but grew closer to him after an unpleasant meeting with Dash Baxter. Also, Violet was shy and quiet while Jen was more outgoing.
    • To Emma. Both of them are from Canada and are 2 years older than Danny. Emma is still a novice at surfing and a bit shyer, Jen is actively trying to be an athlete and not afraid to voice her thoughts.
    • To Alex. Both of them are very athletic and interested in sports. However, Alex is younger and much more naive, while Jen is older and more mature.
  • Has a Type: In her own series, she was attracted to jocks who were tall, athletic and nice. Danny, while a Nice Guy, is the sole exception.
  • One-Steve Limit: Both she and Jenny have names that are the shortened version of "Jennifer", though not once does Danny ever need to call either of them by that.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: One of the key things she lists on her bio is her love of sports.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: While she was initially dismayed to being going on a date with a guy who was not only younger than her, but lacked any interest in sports, Danny finds a place in her heart after he not only helped her get payback on Dash, but protected her by refusing to reveal her involvement to the security guard when he got caught.

    Phantasma
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/phantasma_phantom_full_body.png
One of a few monster girls from a boarding school who has a massive crush on Danny Phantom.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Insists people she's close to call her "Phanty."
    • In the timeline where they get together, Danny calls her "Spooky Beauty" while Phantasma has taken to calling him "Haunting Hunk."
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: Unlike in her canon film, Phantasma is shown to be openly rebellious towards her overprotective father when it comes to boys and is not afraid to defy him.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Danny and Kim reveals that she hasn't quite gotten over Danny and is jealous of how he chose Kim Possible over her.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: One of the two ghostly girls who Danny dates in the story. Danny even admits he finds her cute in a "spooky" sort of way.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite being a ghost who likes spooky and dark places, she's one of the least evil ghosts Danny has met.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: Her father doesn't approve of boys, especially the half-ghost Danny Phantom. Them getting married in one alternate ending didn't fix that, although he genuinely loves his grandchildren.
  • Everyone Has Standards: In the future shown in "The Many Kids of Danny Fenton", it's revealed even she doesn't approve of Danny's friendship with Deadpool. Apparently, the Merc with the Mouth is too insane even for her tastes.
  • Fangirl: She was already of Danny Phantom fan since Danny defeated the Ghost King.
  • Genki Girl: Just like in canon.
  • Mum Looks Like a Sister: Since monsters and ghouls age at a comparably slower rate than humans do, Phanty (who started aging very slowly once she turned 18) still looks like she's in her late-teens/early-20s even by the time she's 40—and at that point (at least in the timeline where she's the one who ends up with Danny) she has at least one child who's now in high school.
  • Opposites Attract: Phanty's a very wild, energetic and spooky full-ghost girl, while Danny is much more reserved and down to earth and is also half ghost. Never the less, they become fond of each other at the end of their date.
  • The Rival: To Spectra—both ghost girls pine for Danny, even if he's already involved with someone else.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: She is almost instantly taken with Danny and was looking forward to their date. In the end, she pretty much swoons after Danny kissed her cheek.
  • Strict Parents Make Sneaky Kids: Because her father won't allow her near boys, much less date them, Phantasma sneaks around pretending to be with friends when she goes out to meet with Danny.
  • The Hyena: Just like in canon, she is prone to loud, excessive bursts of laughter.
  • The Rival: Danny and Kim shows that not only does she know Spectra Vondergeist, but the two are rivals and even fight over Danny at one point (especially since Spectra, like Phanty, still hasn't quite gotten over her crush on Danny and is also jealous of the fact that he chose Kim Possible instead of her).

    Vicky
Timmy Turner's evil babysitter.
  • Ax-Crazy: Clearly shown by her deranged hatred of kids.
  • Bad Date: The worst that Danny and Tucker had.
  • Beyond Redemption: In Danny and Kim, Danny calls her one of the few people he regards as irredeemable. The fact that she's still in prison while Cree has long since reformed and is forgiven by Danny justifies this.
  • Dirty Coward: In Danny and Kim, she's pretty much cowering during the entire Disasteroid incident.
  • Evil Redhead: The only redhead Danny dated that he's clearly not into, for obvious reasons.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: In Danny and Kim, Vicky doesn't understand why her actions towards kids landed her in prison for the rest of her life.
  • Foil: To Cree. They are both kid-hating teens, but Cree wanted a genuine boyfriend and was only nice until Danny helped out kids, but Vicky wanted a Meal Ticket and faked any kindness. In Danny and Kim, Cree regrets everything and only got five years in prison while Vicky got life and doesn't understand why her actions led her to this fate.
  • Gold Digger: Only entered the program to meet a potential rich boyfriend. In Danny and Kim, she says she would be the one marrying Danny if she knew he'd become so rich and famous.
  • Hate Sink: Her sole existence is to be disliked by both the characters and the readers.
  • Irony: She rejected Danny for being, as she so eloquently puts it "a broke loser". Several years later in Danny and Kim, she is sentenced to prison for life, while Danny grows up to become very rich and famous due to saving the world and being revealed as Danny Phantom.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: In Danny and Kim, she doesn't regret her crimes against kids even after being sent to prison for life for them and the only reason she's upset at not being Danny's bride is the fact he now has wealth and fame.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: In Danny and Kim, she gets a life sentence for her crimes against kids.
  • Never My Fault: In Danny and Kitty, she blames Timmy for her being banned from the dating service, not getting a rich guy, and not getting refunded. It doesn't matter to her that she ditched her dates upon learning they didn't meet her standards and, as Timmy points out "teenage guys have taste". She blames Timmy just because she was babysitting him when she learned of the dating service's blacklist of her.

    Wendy Corduroy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wendy_corduroygravityfalls.png
The redhead teen lumberjack of Gravity Falls.
  • Big Eater: She eats more food than most of Danny's other human dates, not that he minds.
  • Dude Magnet: Danny and Dipper are both interested in her.
  • Foil: Directly towards the previous date, Vicky. Both are redheads who wear green and have a connection with a young brunette boy. Vicky is an awful person and an abusive babysitter to Timmy, Wendy is a laid-back person who's much better with kids and is also the object of Dipper's affections.

    Debbie Thornberry
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deborah_7.png
The eldest daughter of the Thornberrys and a bit of a brat at first.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She warms up to Danny after she came off as rude, since he takes her to a mall and gives her time to vent frustrations with constant travel. Towards the end of the date, she even kissed him on the cheek and asked to remain in contact with him.
  • Foil: To Wendy. Wendy is laid-back, lives in a town in the middle of nowhere and wouldn't mind traveling. Debbie is a bit haughty at first, constantly travels and wants to just settle down in one town.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: She might have been crabby to Danny at first, but given that she knew that they would be leaving soon and her parents had made her take part of the service in the first place, it's not hard to understand her frustrations with the situation. Thankfully, Danny doesn't take it personally and manages to help her loosen up.
  • Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: She might have been rude to Danny at first, but as he finds out, she is just lonely and frustrated with her family's lifestyle and longs to live like a normal teenager.

    April O'Neil
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aprilfists.png
The first human friend of a group of adolescent transformed martial-artists terrapins. April is unaware another teenage with a secret becomes her date.
  • Dude Magnet: Along with Danny, Donatello and Casey Jones are also interested in her.
  • Foil: To Gwen Tennyson. They're both half-alien, Gwen due to her grandmother, April due to being experimented on as a baby by the Kraang. Gwen is a mature and driven girl, April is more fun and laid-back.
  • Mistaken for Racist: She admits to Danny she doesn't have it in her to tell Donnie's she not interested in reptiles out of fear it sounds too much like she's bigoted.
  • Ninja: She's trained as a kunoichi, a female ninja. Danny thinks it's cool.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Like the Turtles, she loves pizza.

    Gwen (Total Drama)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tda_diy_char_gwen.png
Prior to joining Total Drama, Gwen gets put into the service by her brother. She's not fond of it... at first at least.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She starts out haughty and aloof until Danny calls her out on it.
  • Goth: Not unlike Sam. In fact, Paulina mistook her for Sam at first.
  • One-Steve Limit: She shares a name with a past date.
  • Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: She might have been rude to Danny at first and been reluctant to be on the date, but once Danny calls her out on it, she apologizes and they start over.

    Angelica Pickles
No longer a toddler, Angelica goes out on a date, and doesn't make a good first impression.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She stands up for her younger cousins and their friends when they get bullied—Danny happened to witness this and it makes him realize that Angelica's not as bad as he initially thought.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's got a massive ego and is a bit spoiled, but she's certainly not without redeeming qualities, like being very protective of her cousins and their friends.

    Kitty Pryde
The youthful member of the X-Men, Kitty goes out while having a Sentinel hunting her down.
  • Dude Magnet: Danny Fenton, Bobby Drake, Peter Parker and Peter Quill are among many boys who have shown interest in her.
  • Intangibility: Like Danny, she can use intangibility, which clues him in that she is not a normal girl.
  • One-Steve Limit: Has the same name as Johnny 13's girlfriend. Danny has to clarify to Jazz she's not the same Kitty.

    Makoto Kino

"Danny...why didn't I notice before...you're...you're just like my old boyfriend."

The tallest and strongest of the Sailor Guardians in Japan. She may look tough, but Danny finds a sweet girl underneath.

  • Affectionate Nickname: She lets Danny use the name "Lita", liking how he says it.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: Just as she reveals to Danny, many people at her school were afraid of her due to her imposing stature and Strength, combined with her insistence on standing up to bullies, which made them assume that she was a a violent delinquent and avoided her.
  • Badass Normal: Even without her Senshi powers, she's a black belt who can beat up Dash and his friends.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Rejection, even if it's not towards her. She spent a great deal of time hostile towards Ben Tennyson for him not choosing Ami Mizuno as his match since it reminded her of how her senpai broke her heart.
    • Disrespect to the service industry. When she learns that Mr. Lancer warned the students that failure would mean a lifetime working in fast food, she, as someone who wants to be a restaurateur, was tempted to do him harm.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Just like in canon, she tries to be feminine and is a genuinely kind person, but she is also not afraid to kick butt and even face a ghost all by herself.
  • The Big Girl: She is stated to be very tall for her age and she is a skilled martial artist.
  • Bully Hunter: She assaults Dash and his friends for daring to pick on Danny while they were on their date.
  • Composite Character: Aspects of the manga, 90s anime and Crystal are pulled together for her. For example, she is technically a brunette though her highlights give off an auburn color like her Crystal counterpart, her nickname is Lita (her original English dub name) and she expressed a fear of flying like the manga.
  • Eating Lunch Alone: She tells Danny that, on her first day of school, she had to eat lunch alone after transferring to Juuban because the other students were scared of her. Fortunately, her friend Usagi noticed her.
  • Effortless Amazonian Lift: She is strong enough to easily carry Danny to "safety" during their date.
  • Foil: To Alex. Both girls fight evil as part of double lives Danny finds out during their dates without them realizing it. Alex is oblivious to Danny Phantom's help the day she dated him, adventures involving the supernatural are an exception for her, and her antagonists are either one-time villains or part of a Rogues Gallery; while Makoto knows of Danny Phantom's contribution during her date, supernatural foes are the norm for her, and she rarely meets villains not working for a Big Bad.
  • Gentle Giant: She's taller than average by teenage girl standards and powerful enough to be feared by people who don't know the gentle side of her personality but is a kindhearted girl.
  • Girly Bruiser: She's very skilled in feminine graces and is good enough a fighter to be feared as a delinquent.
  • Hidden Depths: In Danny and Makoto , it shows that after getting a boyfriend, Makoto stopped her boy-crazy ways in favor of taking her relationship with Danny seriously.
  • In-Series Nickname: The original English dub of Sailor Moon had her name as Lita, which she used as her screen name. Danny calls her this and she doesn't seem to mind.
  • Jerkass to One: Even though Ami has asked her not to, she's rather unpleasant towards Ben Tennyson over his not picking her friend as his match. Thankfully, her boyfriend Danny helps her realize that she was projecting her anger towards her ex-boyfriend onto Ben, and she stops being mean to him.
  • Kubrick Stare: She sends a very intense look at Dash after he tries to pick on Danny.
  • Leg Focus: In Danny and Makoto, Danny fawns over how nice her legs are, to the point where he was ignoring Skulker trying to kill him. Skulker didn't take kindly to it.
  • Luminescent Blush: She blushes deeply after Danny kisses her on the cheek at the end of their date.
  • Nice Girl: In spite of what her size and strength suggest, she's a kind person.
  • No Guy Wants an Amazon: In the past, some guys rejected her because she's strong.
  • Minidress of Power: Her short skirt doesn't deter from how an amazing heroine she is.
  • Parental Abandonment: Both of her parents died in an airplane crash.
  • Pitbull Dates Puppy: The tall, statuesque and strong Makoto falls for short, skinny and wimpy looking Danny because he's a good person. It helps that Danny is stronger than he looks and, behind her tough physical appearance, Makoto is a very sweet person.
  • Serial Romeo: She has a tendency to fall in love quickly with any cute boy she meets. Averted in Danny and Makoto, where she stops this behavior after getting together with Danny.
  • Shipping Torpedo: At first, she did not agree with Ami's feelings for Ben, much less want to see the two of them grow close. It takes a while and being called out before she realizes the error in acting this way.
  • Shock and Awe: As Sailor Jupiter, most of her attacks involve electricity.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: By the end of their date, she becomes very smitten with Danny for not being afraid of her martial arts prowess and thinking she's cool.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: She becomes one towards Danny after their date.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's most certainly one of the tallest, if not the tallest, of Danny's dates. It doesn't make him lose interest in her.
  • Supreme Chef: She loves to cook and hopes to have her own bakery or restaurant someday.
    • In the timeline where she and Danny end up together, he loves her cooking very much and after getting married, it is joked that if he ever stopped ghost fighting, he'd have Jack's "wonder gut" since he can't resist Lita's home cooked meals.
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: In Danny and Makoto, she knits Danny a sweater for Christmas.
  • Through His Stomach: In Danny and Makoto, she loves cooking for Danny to show her love for him. He grows to love it greatly.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: She is much taller than Danny, but it doesn't change her interest in him.
  • Tomboy Princess: She is a tall tomboy who is good at martial arts, as well as the reincarnation of a princess from another planet.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She tries to act polite and feminine during her date with Danny, but she is a black belt who is more than capable of kicking Dash and his friends' butts with almost no effort and is an experienced hero in her own right. She is also a romantic and fond of cooking, even dreaming of having her own restaurant one day.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Just like in the anime, she loves cherry pie.

    Katie Kaboom

"I'M NOT OVERREACTING! I'M A TEENAGER!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katie_kaboom.jpg

The teenage time bomb who turns into a horrific monster when angered. She falls head over heels for Danny, something that horrifies him.

  • Abhorrent Admirer: She misinterprets Danny's attempts to keep her from getting angry as trying to get her interested in him. As a result, she falls madly in love with Danny, to his dismay. She's also extremely clingy and overly affectionate, and Danny fears making her angry or telling her how he honestly feels will result in her monster form.
  • Adaptation Species Change: In Animaniacs, her powers are never given an explanation, making it a joke on No Periods, Period. It's revealed in this story that she's a mutant.
  • Adaptational Wimp: In canon, Katie is also a shape-shifter whose monster transformations take the form of whatever upset her. Here, she’s limited to only taking on her original monster form. Though some authors have her taking a broken heart shape when she finds Danny with a new girl.
  • All for Nothing: Zig-Zagged. She went to Xavier’s to learn to control her powers, partly to make sure she doesn’t hurt her loved ones again and partly thinking it will bring Danny to her. In all but one timelines, Katie finds out Danny's dating someone else by the time she sees him again and it becomes clear even when he forgives her that loving her is impossible. She does, however, succeed in repairing her relationship with her brother and finds new friends, and even a new love interest, in the X-Men, along with a new joy in helping people with her powers.
  • Alliterative Name: Katie Ka-Boom.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: In most post-main stories where she is featured, Katie is still very much in love with Danny, who loves his chosen girl, all the while Bobby Drake seems to be crushing on her.
  • All Women Are Lustful: She seems to be much more amorous than the average teenager, much to Danny's horror as Katie tends to be very clingy, gives him cutesy names and smothers him with unwanted hugs and kisses. Whereas in the original shorts, she insisted that she wasn’t going on a date with a guy named Jared even though they were going to a movie and having dinner together.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: In ''Danny and Kim", thanks to being manipulated by Thanatos and having her emotions and memories affected by a moodulator, she puts Danny in a scenario where he'd have to marry her in order to have any semblance of a happy life.
  • Anticipatory Lipstick: During A little break arc, Katie applies some of this just before kissing (an unwilling) Danny in the tunnel of love, much to his dismay.
  • The Atoner: One of the reasons she goes to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters to learn more about her powers is out of guilt for hurting her little brother.
  • Beauty to Beast: Katie can go from pretty and innocent-looking to a destructive, Hulk-like monster whenever she becomes angry.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Basically any trivial issue a teenager can face or the slightest provocation will set her off, such as having to wait an hour for a table on a date, being called a loser and basically not getting her way.
    • In Danny and Kim, seeing Thanatos hurt Danny is what causes her to willingly morph and attack the villain.
    • In "Danny and Barbara: The Kaboom Wedding", being reminded of Mister Sinister sets her off.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: As the Warners put it, she's a sweet girl as long as you don't make her mad. Though she was initially clingy with Danny, it was only because she thought her feelings for him were mutual and she more-or-less leaves him alone afterwards while feeling remorseful. Aside from her temper and overly affectionate attitude, she's a sweet girl who cares about her friends, family and crush.
  • Big "NO!": When she sees Danny with a girlfriend post-main story, she immediately runs to an empty space and breaks down in sadness and anger, triggering a transformation while screaming.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: After Katie meets Danny's choices, she is jealous but tries to be civil enough to wish them happiness... at least until the villains use memory and mood-altering technology on her to make her a villain. She's always remorseful when it's undone.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: Just like in canon.
  • Breakout Character: Katie is not a very popular character from her home franchise, with her shorts being among the most divisive. However, during the poll to see who were Danny's 10 most popular dates, she was ranked number 10. The author herself admitted that she wasn't sure about using Katie until seeing how popular she was. As such, Katie became the most recurring past date in many of the spinoff stories, usually as a sort of rival to Danny's chosen love interest, and seeks to find some way to redeem herself to him.
  • Character Catchphrase: "I AM NOT OVERREACTING! I'M A TEENAGER!"
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She becomes one towards Danny. The sequels show that she still has feelings for Danny and is jealous of his chosen girl.
    • In the original story, she briefly expressed jealousy of Jazz being near Danny until Katie was informed that Jazz is his sister.
    • Danny and Kara shows that she was VERY upset to learn Danny is currently dating Supergirl.
    • In Danny and Kim, she became VERY jealous of Kim. The moodulator affecting her emotions didn't help matters either.
    • In Danny and Kitty, she is shown to be utterly heartbroken when seeing that Kitty and Danny are dating and just barely controls turning into her monster form until she is safely in the training room.
  • Character Development: After Katie realizes how dangerous she actually is, she works hard to better herself, first by seeking anger management therapy, then by going to Xavier's to control her powers. In the sequel stories, she's far more cautious with her temper, tries to be happy for Danny and the girl he's chosen, and suffers from a large amount of shame and self-loathing. She only slips back into Yandere tendencies when being manipulated by the villains using mood-altering tech, and even then her loved ones are able to talk her out of it. Overtime, she even manages to finally let go of her obsessive infatuation with Danny, though normally not without issues, and learns to find new love.
    • She got a ton of this offscreen in the Danny and Barbara, Alex and Violet universes.
  • Composite Character: Her alias in the X-Men is “Time-Bomb”, which in the comics was the first alias of Tabitha Smith, a mutant who could create energy bombs, before she changed it to “Boom-Boom”. Like Tabitha, Katie also has short blonde hair.
  • Cute But Psycho: One minute, she's a sweet, beautiful girl, but the tiniest things make her mad, then she becomes a nigh-unstoppable monster.
  • Did Not Get the Boy: Because of how things went on their unofficial second date, Katie doesn't get the boy she fell for. She only gets with him in one potential timeline out of dozens, if not hundreds of them. But she finds new love with Bobby Drake.
  • Dogged Nice Girl: The "Nice Girl" part is downplayed, Played With and zigzagged. She is hopelessly in love with Danny and is very affectionate towards him, but she has a terrible temper, and her powers make her become a literal monster at the slightest provocation.
  • Dramatic Irony: Meta-Example. In most of the alternate endings where Katie joins the X-Men, she and Kitty Pryde become friends but in the ending where Danny chooses Kitty, they are rivals for his affection. Though they eventually make up.
  • The Dreaded: She pretty much becomes this for Danny as her monster form is so powerful even his Ghostly Wail can't phase her while her temper means she can become it at any time. He's genuinely terrified of telling Katie he doesn't like her at first out of fear of setting her off, which is only worsened when she becomes affectionate towards him. Danny even says that compared to Pariah Dark, the Fright Knight, Vlad and even Dark Danny, Katie scares him most because he was at least able to hurt them, unlike Katie.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After going to Xavier's School, she learns to control her powers and eventually gets over Danny before entering a real relationship with Bobby Drake, a guy who actually loves her, and starts a family with him (their kids are Callie and Bobby Jr). And in some stories, she even earns Danny’s forgiveness.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Okay, she might not be evil per se, but she is a temperamental brat and her powers make her a danger to those around her. However, she did sincerely have feelings for Danny and cares about her family.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Normally, she would be attracted to a muscular jock like Dash but seeing him bullying Danny and his rude attempts to pick her up caused her to reject his advances.
  • Femme Fatale: In Danny and Kim, Katie gets a moodulator implanted on her by Thanatos which alters her memories and affects her emotions, allowing him to manipulate her to become the same dangerously unstable girl Danny knows and fears. Thankfully, the moodulator is deactivated and she officially reconciles with Danny.
  • Foil:
    • To Kara. Both of them are blonde, have powers, and are in love with Danny. Kara is the girl he had feelings for before due to his Celeb Crush, Katie is the girl he comes to fear the most.
    • To Angelica. Both act like a Spoiled Brat to a degree. Angelica because she's just that egotistical, Katie because of her powers, her temper and her family's inability to control her.
    • To Vicky and Cree. The three of them are Danny's worst dates and he resents them all for having hurt a child, Cree and Katie in particular for the child being their siblings. However, unlike the former two, Katie is a generally a nice person until her monster form is set off and never intentionally tried to hurt her brother, was very remorseful when she did and sought help immediately after. Also, unlike the previous two, she not only makes amends with Danny but still has a chance with him in a potential timeline.
  • Forceful Kiss: She is fond of kissing Danny, unaware that he doesn't reciprocate her feelings.
  • Friend to All Children: In Danny and Kitty, she is able to handle two babies at once without much effort while commenting to Bobby that she did the same thing with her brother Tinker. In Danny and Angelica, she meets and befriends Dani.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: When she meets whoever is Danny's girlfriend in that timeline, her jealousy causes her to be competitive or bitter, usually causing her to lose control or be manipulated. Though for the latter, it only applies when she has constant interaction with Danny and the girl, in other stories she leaves them alone.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Her Fatal Flaw.
  • Heartbroken Badass: She becomes one post main-story.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Post-main story, she has joined the X-Men and become a hero but still suffers from a lot of guilt and self-loathing for her past actions and is afraid of hurting others. In Danny and Kitty, it is even highlighted that the reason she is still pining after Danny is because she doesn't think anyone else would want her except the one guy who didn't run away from her on their first date. Part of her getting over Danny involves him fully forgiving her so she can move on and realizing there are other people who care about her, including Bobby.
  • Hidden Depths: Her profile lists her hobbies (along with shopping and talking to friends) as art and violin.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Her temper and powers, as well as her clingy ways, ruined any chance she could have had with Danny.
  • Hulking Out: In Animaniacs, her transformations were the equivalent of messing with reality, in that she could turn into anything related to what angered her. Example: she missed a potentially important phone call, so she turns into a telephone monster. Here, it's more standard turning into a large, grotesque, more muscular version of herself. Though in Danny and Kitty, she does briefly take the form of a broken heart when she learns Danny is dating Kitty.
    • Katie is revealed to have unlocked her canon transformation powers in Danny and Barbara.
  • If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her...: Downplayed in Danny and Kara. After meeting Kara and realizing that she is Danny's new girlfriend, a saddened Katie just calmly but begrudgingly tells her to be good to him.
  • Irony: In the main story, Danny hesitated to tell Katie how he really feels out of fear of incurring her wrath and her going on a rampage. However, after she still goes on a rampage and injures her brother Tinker, Danny finally loses his patience and angrily rebuffs her, which, ironically, actually causes her to come out of her transformed state.
  • Jerkass Realization: In the main story, she realizes how dangerous she is when Danny calls her out after injuring her brother and for being a stalker.
  • Love Hungry: She desperately wants Danny's love, or at least his forgiveness.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Her feelings for Danny prior to learning how he felt made her very unsettling to be around.
  • Love Martyr: While Danny isn't abusive to her in any way, he tries to avoid her and dodges her despite it being clear how she still feels for him. The fact that she keeps obsessing over a guy who never actually liked her and won’t let go of the hope that she could win him “back” is also sad.
  • Loving a Shadow: The Danny she fell in love with isn't the same Danny who feared and grew uncomfortable around her. When Katie learns how he really feels, it breaks her heart. Also, during their "dates", they didn't really talk to each other and Danny barely told Katie anything about him. She just liked him for how he treated her, not realizing it was because he was scared, not because he liked her. Even after Katie discovers this, she is still convinced that she just needs to learn to control her powers so they will be together.
  • Made Out to Be a Jerkass: Due to how she acted after her transformations, and how her Split Personality monster half can talk and respond to people, Danny thought that Katie was just a monster and bully who didn’t mind destroying things and scaring people to get her way. The truth is Katie never recalled any of her transformations before and is horrified to learn that her family is scared of her.
  • Mood-Swinger: And HOW!
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She finds out too late that she's caused a lot of destruction, terrifies her family to no end, harmed her little brother and caused Danny a lot of grief with her unwanted kisses and affections.
  • No-Sell: Her monster form is so near indestructible that not even the Ghostly Wail can harm her. In Danny and Kim however, Thanatos defeats her in two blows, and his reaction implies he wasn't even using half his power.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: During the A little break arc, her hair gets ruined and the only reason she didn't morph then and there was because Danny kissed her to calm her down and keep her from rampaging.
  • Not Good with Rejection: She doesn't take Danny rejecting her well at all.
  • Obliviously Evil: When she transforms, she doesn't retain a lot of her memories. She has no idea how destructive and terrifying she is until it's too late.
  • Oblivious to Love: The reason she's so obsessed with Danny is because he didn't run away from her during their date like all her previous ones did, never mind that it's because he didn't want to anger her, so she thinks that he is the only person who COULD love her once he stops fearing her. While at the same time, she is initially oblivious to Bobby's crush on her because of this.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Played with. Even after joining the X-Men and apologizing for her actions, Danny can't bring himself to immediately forgive her. Thankfully, her brother forgives her though.
  • The Rival: If Danny picks Kitty as his match, Katie would become very jealous of their relationship and actively try and compete with Kitty for his affections.
  • Romantic Runner-Up: In only one potential alternate ending, out of dozens if not hundreds, her relationship with Bobby fails and Danny fails in relationships with Kitty, Starfire, Valarie and Sam respectively, leading to them getting together and having two kids.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: She thought her feelings for Danny were mutual.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She fell for Danny, thinking he was a sweet and caring guy who loves her. She was right about all except that last part and has spent time mastering her powers to prove herself worthy of him.
    • After moving on from Danny, she falls in love with Bobby Drake, her fellow X-Man who is a Nice Guy too.
    • Her dating profile even states that she wanted to meet "a sweet guy who understands [her] needs, will treat [her] right and who [she] knows will respect [her]".
  • Split Personality:
    • In Danny and Kitty, when she's starting to get over Danny and has realized he’s not as great she she made him out to be, she develops another personality from having a moodulator in her head thanks to William Stryker that was still obsessed with Danny and made her violently refuse to let him go.
    • She also developed a similar split personality in Danny and Kim thanks to Thanatos, but it was removed along with the modulator.
  • Stalker with a Crush: She spent the 5 A Little Break chapters hounding Danny into a second date in the hopes of making him her boyfriend. In her defense however, she honestly believed that Danny liked her back.
  • Taking the Bullet: In the ending where Danny chooses Kitty, Katie takes a shot for her from the Sentinels and also saves Danielle. In Danny and Kim, she also saves Kim from Thanatos' attack. Both versions of her survive.
  • Teens Are Monsters: Literally.
  • Thinks Like a Romance Novel: Played with. While she is indeed in a romantic story, it's not her story.
  • Unwanted Spouse: Danny has a nightmare of marrying Katie and spending the rest of his life with her and their 8 daughters.
  • Villainesses Want Heroes: Played With. She seems unaware of her monstrous form, or at least that she is doing anything wrong, but she is very much smitten with Danny and wants him to be her new boyfriend.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In Danny and Kitty, Katie acknowledges that while she did have anger issues, she rightfully points out that Danny had made her like him because he never told her how he really felt about her during their date and spent the entire time actively trying to please her so she wouldn't get mad again. She calls him a coward and tells him that if he had been honest with her and told her about Xavier's school earlier, then she would have left him alone and might not have injured her brother. Katie also calls Danny out on not considering how him dating the girl she goes to school with and visiting all the time makes her feel.
  • Yandere: While she genuinely cares for Danny, her short temper and terrifying powers can cause that to be very discomforting for him. Not helping is she's extremely clingy. Once she finds out how he actually feels about it, she's very remorseful. In Danny and Kim, thanks to the moodulator affecting her feelings, she reverts back to this behavior. And in Danny and Kitty, she developed a split personality that acts like this thanks to Stryker.
  • You Monster!: In a fit of rage, Danny screams at Katie that she is a monster and a bully for scaring her family, accidentally hurting her brother and unintentionally stalking him.

    Penny Proud
The eldest daughter of The Proud Family, Penny has to hide what she's doing from her disapproving father.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/penny_proud.png
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Penny becomes fond of Danny after he stood up to LaCienaga after the latter dissed her, as well as protected her by lying to her father.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: Like Phanty's father, her father Oscar disapproves of boys and is immediately hostile towards Danny.
  • Foil: To Cree as the two African-American girls Danny dates. Cree is older and turned out to be a terrible person. Penny is the same age and is nicer and easier to get along with.
  • Genki Girl: Has shades of this during her movie date with Danny.
  • Lovable Jock: Due to his own bad experiences with jocks, Danny was surprised to learn that she is a football player, not because of her gender, but because she is a nice, sensible girl.
  • Nice Girl
  • Sassy Black Woman
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She begins to fall for Danny after he told LaCienaga off, as well as lied to her father to protect her by claiming that he was harassing her, thus sparing her a grounding.

    Ginger Foutley
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ginger_foutley3.png
A shy girl with an interest for poetry, she's recently broken up wit her boyfriend.
  • The First Cut Is the Deepest: She's suffering from heartache from her ex-boyfriend.
  • Foil: To Penny as one of the more normal girls Danny dated—while Penny can be very emotional and isn't afraid to speak her mind, Ginger's comparably quieter and more introverted.

    Spectra Vondergeist
The shy ghost of Monster High.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: In Danny and Kim it's shown that she hasn't quite gotten over Danny and is jealous that he picked Kim over her.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: One of the two ghostly girls who Danny dates in the story. She is considered pretty.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: She's a ghost, but a very shy one.
  • Foil: To Phantasma—while Phanty's younger than Spectra, she's more energetic and mischievous. Spectra, while older (and can also be kind of mischievous), is comparably shyer and quieter.
  • Rescue Romance: Danny saves her and her ghoulfriends from the Guys In White on their first date and chose to kiss him at the end of it as both a sign of gratitude, as well as attraction.
  • The Rival: Regardless of Danny's relationship status, she and Phantasma compete over his affections.

    Musa
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/musa_8.jpg
A fairy with a love for music, Musa has gotten sick of bad boys and is looking for someone with a little more compassion.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Defied. Unlike canon, she's gotten tired of dating these kids of boys and becomes attached to Danny for being the opposite.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Befitting the fairy of music, she is an amazing singer. On her blind date with Danny at a karaoke club, her voice leaves him entranced and causes the patrons to ask for an encore.
  • Fairy Sexy: She's extremely attractive by human standards, especially when that human is a teenage boy.
  • Foil:
    • To Sabrina as a magic user. Sabrina is a young half-witch trying to have a normal life, Musa's a full-blooded fairy who uses her powers to directly fight evil.
    • To Jenny as one of the more unusual girls Danny dated. Jenny's a robot, Musa is a fairy, while both are still very active and energetic girls.
  • Magical Girlfriend: She's this to Danny in the timeline where he chooses her out of all the girls he met through the dating service.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: She's certainly taller and more attractive by human standards compared to Cosmo and Wanda.

    Felicia Hardy
The young and lovely Black Cat, she's in town and decides to give dating a shot while causing some trouble.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: While Comic!Black Cat was no idiot and very crafty, here her civilian self attends Horizon High, a school for geniuses.
  • Affably Evil: She's a very playful crook.
  • Age Lift: Her exact age in the series wasn't stated, so it is assumed she is 16. However, this is still true when compared to comic!Black Cat, since there's no way she'd ever kiss a 14-year-old.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Likely just an act, but in Danny and Felicia, she comes across as rather flirtatious around Supergirl.
  • Badass Normal: Even without her bad luck powers, she's a trained gymnast and martial artist who can give superheroes, including Kim Possible, a good fight.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: When it comes to Danny and Spidey, she can't help but be flirty and get into a fist fight at the same time.
  • Berserk Button: In "Danny and Felicia", it's shown that she despises it when people insult her intelligence or make sexist comments.
  • Canon Marches On: At the time of the story's writing, the cartoon this depiction of Felicia Hardy came from only depicted her twice. That was also her final appearance in the cartoon. She never joins Horizon High nor is her civilian life ever shown, effectively making this depiction an original character.
  • Cat Girl: She's the Black Cat.
  • Classy Cat-Burglar: She is the Black Cat, after all.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: In Danny and Kim, she was jealous enough of Danny's choice in his girlfriend that she gave up a potential score just to mess with them and steal a kiss from Danny in front of Kim. She even revealed her identity to them just to let the couple know it was her who did it.
  • Composite Character: She seems to share traits from multiple incarnations of her character. She attends Horizon High, is a wealthy heiress due to her mother's work, and her father is in jail.
  • Dude Magnet: Wherever she goes, there are boys going after her.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • When she mistook Danny saying he wanted more than kissing, she sent him a glare before he clarified that he wants someone he can respect and respects him.
    • She doesn't condone cheating in a competition, being more than happy to get Dale in trouble with Mr. Barkin.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: She has platinum blonde hair and is very popular with boys.
  • Femme Fatale: She's a very attractive girl, which she's willing to exploit to create conflict or get what she wants.
  • Flirting Under Fire: She flirts with Danny while he's trying to stop her from stealing.
  • Foil:
    • To Danny. Both have the same color scheme as their respective alter egos. But whereas Danny is a good-natured hero, Felicia is a mischievous thief.
    • To Kim. Both are athletic girls who have a fondness for Danny. Kim is a Badass Normal with no secret identity, Felicia has bad luck powers and wears a mask.
    • To Kara. Kara is a Human Alien heroine who hides in her civilian self and has a friendly personality. Felicia is a human thief with powers who wears a mask as Black Cat and has a flirtatious personality.
    • To Katie. Both are blondes who have an interest in Danny. Katie has powers that make her unintentionally a threat while unaware of what she does. Felicia has powers that she intentionally uses to steal and cause trouble.
  • Friendly Enemy: As Black Cat, she's openly flirtatious with male heroes, including Danny, while acting playful with everyone else. However, it isn't always mutual.
  • Has a Type: Between Danny Phantom and Spider-Man, she clearly has a thing for young and quippy superheroes.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: Many men find her outright stunning, such as Danny, Dash and all the other boys that were at the Nasty Burger.
    • In Danny and Felicia, seeing her distracts Tucker while he's riding a scooter.
  • Hidden Depths: She is shown to be very intelligent, being at the top of her class at Horizon High, and her affections for Danny are genuine.
  • Is This a Joke?: Danny's parents were told that Felicia was beautiful but when they actually meet her and see just how drop-dead gorgeous she is, Jack asks if they're on a hidden camera show.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: She may be a thief, but she's genuinely more moral than she leads on.
  • Lethal Chef: In the timeline where she and Danny end up together, it is stated that Felicia is not a very good cook, leaving Danny to do most of the cooking for them.
  • Love-Interest Traitor: Danny doesn't know during their date that she's the same criminal he fought to stop from robbing the museum they were at.
  • Loves My Alter Ego: While she's fond of Danny overall, his ghost form catches her eye the most.
  • Nerds Are Sexy: She is considered very attractive and attends Horizon High, a school for gifted students.
  • No Challenge Equals No Satisfaction: Felicia likes it better when there's someone protecting the loot the steals. In "Danny and Felicia", she expressed annoyance with The Ninja due to the fact that he got distracted by her looks and thus, wasn't much of a challenge.
  • Not Good with Rejection:
    • It's hinted in Danny and Kim that she didn't take Danny not choosing her well.
    • In her own ending, after Danny finds out her secret identity and dumps her, Felicia was upset and spent a long time trying to win him back.
  • Only in It for the Money: Usually, she's more concerned with money in the job than how ethical it is.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: She only steals when somebody pays her to do it.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: She figured out Danny's identity without his knowledge. Only in the timelines where he chose her or Kim does he find out.
  • Sexy Cat Person: She's a cat-themed vigilante with several fanboys.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She's older and far more of a troublemaker than Danny, yet becomes fond of him for his good nature.
  • The Tease: She loves pushing her love interests' buttons, and doesn't stop flirting with Danny even after he's taken.
  • Thrill Seeker: Likes it so much she deliberately makes her thefts harder than necessary.
  • Token Evil Teammate: While they're not exactly a team, she's the only actual criminal of the 28 girls to choose Danny.
  • Trickster Girlfriend: She doesn't make things easy for Danny in the timeline she became his match.
  • Villainesses Want Heroes: "Villainess" is a bit much, but she's a thief as Black Cat and a troublemaker in her civilian persona, but she ends up falling for Danny.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Chose not to reveal she knows Danny's identity since he saved her from a nasty fall.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: Her powers give bad luck to her opponents to her advantage.
  • Yandere: Seems to be a non-lethal downplayed example towards Danny.
  • Younger Than They Look: She is 16 years old, yet the narrative states that she can pass for an adult.

    Daria Morgendorffer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daria_5331.gif

The aloof, quiet and sardonic teen who, after being blackmailed by her parents, reluctant goes on a blind date with Danny.

  • Brainy Brunette
  • Brutal Honesty: She didn't hesitate to inform Danny point blank, that the only reason she was going out with him is because her parents pretty much blackmailed her to do so. This becomes Deconstructed, in Danny becomes insulted from her.
  • Commonality Connection: She truly begins to mellow out (in her own way) with Danny after it turns out they are both pretty snarky and he is shown to enjoy a movie from Sick, Sad World.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Downplayed with Daria. Once she realizes how off-putting she is being, she unbends a bit, at least enough to find a rapport with Danny.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She acts less aloof towards Danny when he tells her he was being stalked by a past date.
  • Foil: To Gwen (TDI). They both start off disinterested in their blind dates. Gwen is very much a Goth girl with limited interests in dating while Daria is aloof and unemotional in general. Both however drop their attitude when Danny calls them out.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She made it no secret that she didn't want to be out on the date, but after Danny calls her out on her attitude and lets it slip that he was being stalked by a past date, she unbends enough to find some common ground with him.
  • When She Smiles

    Barbara Gordon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/batgirl_edited.jpg
The daughter of Commissioner Gordon and a sidekick to the Dark Knight himself.
  • Action Girl
  • Badass Normal: She has no powers, but is a skilled heroine.
  • Foil: To a good number of Danny's past dates.
    • Kim Possible. They're both redhead heroines who don't technically have superpowers. But Kim doesn't bother with keeping a Secret Identity while no one outside of a very select few knows that Barbara is Batgirl. Also, Barbara's an only child and was raised by a single parent (her dad) while Kim has two younger brothers and was raised by both of her parents.
    • Kara Kent. They're both DC heroines who're each a Distaff Counterpart to a recognizable hero (Batman for Batgirl and Superman for Supergirl). But Kara's biologically related to Superman (as they're cousins) and has many powers similar to Danny's while Barbara doesn't have any superpowers at all and also isn't related to Batman in any way.
    • Kitty Pryde. Both of them live in the same region of the United States (Gotham City is either a stand-in for or located near New York City), had to deal with a respective villain of theirs, and are impressed with Danny's heroics. However, Kitty is a mutant who's part of a superhero team (the X-Men) while Barbara is a Badass Normal who, while having a team (the Bat-family), operates alone more often.
    • Felicia Hardy. They're both animal-themed characters who wear dark clothes, but Barbara's a hero while Felicia's a thief.
  • Daddy's Girl: Her sequel shows that she is still close to her father as she is in canon.
  • Distaff Counterpart: To Batman, obviously.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Points out that Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom is a bit too obvious.
  • The Smart Girl: She is the only one of Danny's dates to have figured out his identity without seeing him transform or him confessing it, only using some small clues to connect the dots.

    Cleo Setori
A girl from Australia who turns into a mermaid when wet, she gets put in a situation where her secret might be revealed. Fortunately, she meets someone with a secret of his own.
  • Babies Ever After: In Danny and Kim, she's shown having a son with Lewis, Lewis Jr..
  • Foil:
    • To Emma. Both are girls associated with water, with Emma being an amateur surfer while Cleo is a mermaid.
    • To Makoto. Both are girls from a country outside of North America and have unique secrets. Albeit one is a superhero, the other just has a secret that makes things a bit difficult for her life.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: She turns into a mermaid when splashed with water.

    Starfire
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/teentitans_starfire.png
The alien powerhouse of the Teen Titans, she finds her date has more in common with her than she realizes.
  • Action Girl: She's a superheroine, a Proud Warrior Race Girl and a Teen Titan, so this is a given.
  • Badass Adorable: She's a cute alien princess who is also super strong and shoots lasers from her hands.
  • Battle Couple: She and Danny become one in the timeline where he chooses her.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: In her spin off, she plants a kiss on Danny in order to convince him that she does like him and that the only downside in their relationship is that she can't be seen dating both Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom without causing suspicion.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Her favorite "drink" is mustard.
  • Cute Bruiser: She's adorable, pretty and very strong.
  • Dude Magnet: Both Danny and Robin have expressed interest in her.
    • In Danny and Starfire, it shows that at the end of her time at the dating service, 25 guys had chosen her for a second date while she chose Danny.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Danny finds her broken, alien way of talking rather endearing.
  • Explosive Breeder: The brief description of Danny's possible future with Starfire states she gave birth to Human/Ghost/Tamaranean hybrid quadruplets, 2 boys and 2 girls named Sunfire, Nightfire, Bonfire and Sapphire.
  • Foil: As Danny's final date, she serves as one to several others.
    • To Kim. They're both redheads with green eyes and wear purple, Kim's cheerleader outfit and Starfire's costume. Kim is a Badass Normal and has her own team to back her up, Starfire is an equal member of a team of superheroes. They are also very commonly shipped with Danny in other fanfiction. Kim doesn't learn Danny's secret during her first date with him but Starfire learns it during hers.
    • To Gwen. Also a redhead with green eyes, though Gwen is only half-alien. Gwen is part of a team with a black-haired male who is interested in her, just like Starfire. Their powers are also based on emotion.
    • To Kara. They are both DC heroines from space. Kara looks very human and is able to socialize and hide among others. Starfire has many non-human features and speaks in a very foreign way.
    • To Violet as part of a group of superheroes, also having similar powers to Danny. Violet is the daughter of a family of heroes, she's a very introverted person and uses invisibility and forcefields. Starfire is in a group of friends, she is very energetic and uses flight, energy blasts and super strength.
    • To Barbara. Redheaded heroines from DC Comics, one a Badass Normal, the other an alien powerhouse. Conveniently, they've both also been love interests to Dick Grayson, aka Robin/Nightwing.
  • Genki Girl: Just like in canon.
  • Girly Bruiser: She's a very perky alien girl who fights crime.
  • Last Girl Wins: After Many Dates: Danny and Starfire revolved around the path that would happen if Danny chose her as his match.
  • Manic Pixie Dream Girl: She's a sweet, bubbly girl and an amazing heroine in her own right.
  • Nice Girl: Just like in her own series, she is a very sweet person who uses her powers to help others.
  • No Guy Wants an Amazon: She says that, among the boys she met through the dating service, those she "did not get along with were afraid to be seen as normal humans with a powerful alien".
  • Secret Identity: In "Danny and Starfire", she creates the alias "Kory Anders" so she can date Danny Fenton without people being able to figure out his secret by seeing "Starfire" with Danny Phantom.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She's a redhead with green eyes of alien coloring and the last of Danny's dates.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man:Starfire becomes interest with Danny after he was sympathetic to her backstory and they spend a good deal of their time saving lives.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She is tall and considered to be cute by most.
  • Uptown Girl: In "Danny and Starfire", Danny is briefly worried a superhero alien princess would be too good for him.
  • Warrior Princess: She is the princess of Planet Tamaran.
