Weird dreams

Half this thread and half the "What is the oddest story idea you've ever had?" thread. In the dream I had last night, there was a minor villain in my stories who was a powerful mafia leader, and while the rest of his gang was human, he himself was half man/half gorilla, like in Planet of the Apes. He was like a gorilla version of The Godfather.

Something about a dark dingy arcade and having to work uncomfortably closely with Danny Devito.

Last night I had a dream I saw these two creepy roblox games. One of them was called "Blondy the Brave" and had a blonde girl on the thumbnail. I played it and there were hundreds of people on it despite the game limit usually being 100 at most. There was this room and everyone was gathered in it, there were all thsee weird corrupted monsters and critters, some of which seemed to be based off fictional characters, creepy events (eg: in 30 seconds someone will be sacrificed), then some guy got randomly chosen to be "taken to the lair" or something and he ended up being stuck in a door so I got a rocket and used it to free the guy from the door.

Idk it was really weird :P

I remember one where I was a magical girl who could teleport by closing their eyes and counting for a few seconds. There was a tornado attacking a city too.

I had 3 nights of weird dreams, but I think I forgot some of the second one.

The first dream is kind of strange. There was something about a bathroom (I remembered a place with tiled walls,) but that wasn’t the interesting part. The interesting part was this sort of montage of made up people and things, with the Danganronpa intro music in the background. (I’ve never played it, but I’ve listened to the music.) I forgot most of what happened, but I do remember 1 scene. There were these four generic guys, but they were all the same person. They looked exactly the same, and next to two of them was text that said “ENEMY,” and text next to another that said “DISLIKES.” This guy is enemies with the 3 other copies of himself. That’s a bit strange.

The second dream is a little bit hazy, but I think I can remember enough of it. It started with me wandering through Youtube, looking at video game soundtracks that probably don’t exist when I noticed that one of the songs was titled something stupid like “Hey Look, A Pad!” or something like that. I click on the song, and it’s just a bunch of atonal noises. Not very musical. That’s all I remembered.

Last night’s dream is hard to explain: it jumps all over the place, could possibly be a lucid dream, (or at least semi-lucid,) and it is so intricate that I shall split it up into different segments. It’s a big one.

*Part 1: It’s a Hoot!*

It started off in my house, and it had to do with my (excessively large) collection of stuffed animals. I was having a conversation with an unknown guy about what I named my toy owl. I decided it was named “Mr. Hoot” or something like that, but everytime I looked at it, it was a different owl. I have a lot of them. I noticed this in my dream, and that’s when the craziness started,

*Part 2: The Road to Um, Whatever This Is?*

Now I’m on a street, and it is empty. There’s no cars, no people, it’s the dead of night, and everything looks very brown. It looks like either some sort of wasteland, or a location in a videogame that was never complete. There was only one thing of note on this road: there were a bunch of tornado sirens in a row, right in the middle. this happens a lot in my dreams, as once I was on google maps and a town named “Fart” was similar. I don’t know why you’d need that many sirens, but sure. That’s what’s here. There was also a big tubey pipey thing, which was apparently a water slide. Why is there a big waterslide in the middle of an abandoned road that ends right on the pavement? I don’t know! I think I’m aware about the fact that this is maybe a dream by this point, which naturally leads to...

*Part 3: Purgatory Inn*

I’m stuck in a hotel building. I don’t know where my room is, or where I even am, but I’m in a hotel. I’m fumbling around, trying to figure out where to even go, and I’m just kind of stuck. I’m wandering around, trapped in this stupid maze of a building. I think there was an arcade, but I don’t think I went in there. Eventually I managed to break free of this place, only to end up stuck in another place...

*Part 4: Wandering the Halls*

Now, I’m in some sort of weird conglomeration of the schools that I’ve gone to, and I have to follow this guy, for some reason. I don’t know exactly why I had to follow him, or where I was even going, but I did so anyway. He was moving quite fast, and I had a rough time keeping up. We weren’t even walking or running, but it was more like floating. There was also a song playing in the background, but I completely forgot how it went. As we flew through this building, you can now see that all sense of reason and logic had been thrown out the window. This is where things get shaky, as what happens next will turn into one of the craziest dreams I’ve ever had.

*Part 5: Finally, things are calm again.*

Now I’m in the game room thing in my church, and there’s another random guy playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the TV. He’s brought a crapload of random things, and I don’t have much of a spot to sit. It’s still dark outside, and we both are really the only people in the area. This does seem like something which could happen, just not when it’s super dark outside. After this moment where nothing bizzare happens, Things suddenly get weird in the next part.

*Part 5: Smash*

I decide to turn on my 3DS, and I am playing Smash, but things are a little off. I instantly realize that I’m playing Smash 4, and not Smash Ultimate like usual, and it that moment things instantly get weird. I could only play as 7 characters, but they were slightly off. I picked Corrin, and I noticed 3 things: the announcer sounded a little different than usual, there were no CP Us, and that Corrin was renamed to “Dream Corrin.” I instantly realized that this was a dream. And that’s when things got weird.

*Part 6: Corrin Does Some Stuff*

I’m now playing Fire Emblem: Fates (which I haven’t played yet.) I start playing by grabbing a red and yellow DVD that just says fire emblem with smaller Japanese text next to it. The box also has the PEGI rating, for some reason. and there’s a fully voiced cutscene where Corrin is talking about how since he’s kind of a dragon, he can say things like (*Insert dragonish sounds here.*) That sound was represented in the text as squiggy looking gibberish, and suddenly everything is insane again. Suddenly things turn into a different cutscene where Corrin encounters a super armored Obviously Evil bad guy. I’m aware that things are a dream, and Mr. Evil is talking about how how Corrin is trapped or some other monologue like that, and now things just go insane.

*Part 7: I Don’t Even Know What’s Going On Anymore*

I don’t really know what happens, because it was so crazy, but I’ll try to explain. I think the epic battle between Corrin and Mr. Evil starts, but the game changes to Kid Icarus: Uprising, but the perspective is randomly shifting from top-down to normal or something like that. At some point I’m no longer controlling Pit, but a weird geometric spaceship thingy through a blue tunnel and through holes in wall. Said spaceship thingy kept changing everytime I looked at it, and it seems it was really hard, as I seemed to take a lot of damage. I never lost, but I felt like I could. After all this craziness, I woke up by the sound of my cat wandering around the hallway, meowing for my attention. This was a long one.

In conclusion: People never like their clones, I can’t stop getting stuck in buildings, and my cat will keep on finding ways to wake me up until the end of time.

Had a dream where I had this weird Twitter account, and I uploaded a picture of some green sheet cake I had baked to said Twitter for some competition and then Gordon Ramsay responded saying it looked really good.

Then I was stuck in some woman's house and I had to escape without her seeing me. Can't remember much after that

I've had a lot of dreams like that second part, where I'm trying to escape from someone or something. It's nerve-wracking.

I had this really cool Sonic the Hedgehog-based dream last night (No doubt inspired by Sonic Forces, which I've been playing recently.)

In the dream, I was Tails. Some villain (I don't think it was Dr. Eggman. Maybe Infinite, except working alone this time) totally ravaged our planet, turning it into a bleak, desert wasteland. So Sonic organized a huge assortment of characters from all sorts of media to fight back.

I don't remember most of the heroes... except that there was one who was a griffin or something, and his name was Cal. I guess Caliburn Absolute EX made a cameo in my dream. XD

I also remember one part where someone from some TV sitcom was driving me and two others across the wasteland.

But then, at one point, we encountered another villain, from another dimension. Sonic tried to take him one-on-one, but this other villain trapped Sonic in his own dimension and left ours. Just before he left, Sonic said not to worry about him, and to focus on fighting the villain in our world, but we were all TERRIFIED at the thought of having to do it without Sonic.

I haven't seen House of Cards, but I once dreamt that Frank Underwood was cut as a CM.

Ok I had a sorta weird dream so I thought I'd jot down what I recall.

I can't remember why but I got into some serious trouble without it really being my fault - so serious that my mom organized me to escape my country (Hungary) to Japan. My uncle, father of two kids, came to pick me up and take me to the airport and we were at the house my grandparents used to live (where my mom and my uncle grew up - an old village house in a small village in the countryside like 3 hours from Budapest) but it still felt like it was in the capital. In the meantime, a show was going on tv all the time.

My mom gave me a strawberry plant before we left. We got in the car - my uncle driving, me, mom, and my uncle's two kids who for some reason had to sit in the trunk.

The tvshow was still on as we started to drive... and this is all I recall.

Last night I dreamt that there was going to be a Drax movie, All I remember from that part of the dream was Drax and Mantis walking down a Street I can’t remember if I was looking at pictures or watching it, they were on some sort of vehicle thing with cameras for Filming stuff, Another part of the dream had two men arguing about Megazords there were more things in my dream but these were the things that stuck out the most to me.

Last night wasn’t nearly as insane as before, but I do remembered a dream from it.

The dream was a bit short, but rather memorable. It’s 2D animated, and it looks like we’re in a cave. There’s a girl and a small dragon that looks a lot like Mushu. In fact, the whole thing looks like a cheaper version of Mulan. The girl is just carrying a torch when an unspecified bad guy appears. The camera cuts to him for less than one second as he prepares this zappy attack and then disappear, but when it cuts back to the girl, suddenly she’s now a dragon. The bad guy’s attack doesn’t hurt her, but instead it causes her new horns to glow a bright blue. Mr. Dragon now says like “Now you can communicate with us properly!” I guess dragons communicate with their horns now? I really don’t know. And that’s when I woke up.

I remember quite a bit of last night.

At first, I was playing an atmospheric point and click game in a museum, similar to Cube Escape or Submachine. After that, though, it abruptly transitioned to me having a horse in my backyard all of a sudden. I learned to ride it with no injuries very quickly (IRL I would probably hit my head multiple times), then I was invited to take part in a “horse-riding tournament” where we just rode our horses into each other at high speeds. For some reason, the next thing I know, I was riding my horse in a bathtub, and so were my IRL big sister and dad. However, Dad was represented by Lord Business and Bad Cop. I stumbled across a display where Big Sis made a little story about a trans girl. It was heartwarming, and there was supposed to be an effigy of said girl, but Dad threw it out of the bathtub and destroyed it. My sister said “You know, there are much more people we could’ve had in the family. Hanna-Barbera, Hannah Montana, and any of the other Hannahs.”.

And that’s all I got to see before I woke up. :T

Last night was interesting. It was mostly a bunch of random ideas that were seemingly connected in ways I never thought were possible. This is a crazy one.

The first dream was the kind where it trys to stay on the original topic, but it gradually falls apart until it completly derails itself at the very end.

The first dream kicks off with me being in a house. There were a ton of random kids there, and someone was playing Mario Kart Wii on an old CRT. This guy was talking about the history of video games, or something like that, and I kind of forgot most of what he said. He started to talk about EarthBound and I decided to go to the bathroom. I didn’t use the bathroom, I just simply stood there I don’t quite know why I did that. He said something about 2007, and I could hear what he was saying just fine, despite being in another room. I guess EarthBound actually came out in 2007 in this dream, and not 1995.

Now it turns into a review/history video about a made up Play Station racing game that was titled “12 RACER” or something like that. “12 RACER” was a racing game that has 12 racers. Everything was grey-ish, very blocky, and very fast. The guy was talking about how ambitious and advanced “12 Racer” was at the time, but he also talks about how dated it is by modern standards. So far this dream has been pretty normal sounding, but now things are about to get weird.

Now he’s talking about the sequel: “1,000 RACER,” where you race against 1,000 opponents! He talks about how crazy the game was at the time, and how insanely hard it was to win. After he talks about stuff, we see more gameplay of “1,000 RACER,” but instead of polygonal racecars, it’s a deer/horse/caribou/somethinglikethat running across an endlessly looping forest and a mansion’s big black fancy fence to the right. Which has absolutely nothing to do with a game about racing.

Things derail even further as “1,000 RACER” suddenly turns into a game about cats in said mansion called “Cats Vs. Vlogs” No, seriously. My brain did that. There were cats, but there were no vlogs, which makes this whole thing even more confusing. It turns into a review of CatsAndDogs for about 2 seconds before jumping back to the game. I think my cat tried to wake me up in real life, like usual.

After falling back asleep, dream #2 happened, and it was one of those where everything’s kind of vague and just weird.

It started with some weird music, which was interupted by someone yelling about how PiratesOfTheCaribbean doesn’t make sense because “They’re not pirates, and they’re not in the Caribbean.” (I’ve never watched the movies before.) The wierd music begins to play again. The first movie supposedly starts. but it actually doesn’t start. Instead it switches over to another part of the dream, the really weird part.

Now things have changed to this science guy talking about how they discovered this thing that “is only visible at certain frequencies,” and that they can only see it with certain tools. A graph pops up and the frequencies are on the bottom. The thing is represented as a very stretched out purple smiley face, for some reason. These people decided that the thing is actually some kind of purple shapeless ghost thing.

The pictures of the purple ghost are all weird and blurry, and it doesn’t really have much of a consistant appearance, it looked different in each picture, and the only similaraties were that they were purple, and they had a smiley face somewhere. It was also explained that the ghost was not really malevolent, but more interested in taunting them and messing with the camera. A few of the pictures did look really weird.

In conclusion: My dreams can’t stay on a single topic for more than 2 minutes.

Only remember bits and pieces from the dreams I had last night:

I know at one point I was playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and things were a little off. There was a lot more voice-acting and quips, for one. For example, the characters now had opening quotes depending on who (one of) their opponent(s) was. I only remember hearing Snake's (and he sounded like Bubble Bass instead of his actual voice for some bizarre reason).

There were also a lot more cutscenes in the game. One of them showed Simon getting in a fight with Ganondorf when Ganondorf made a crack about Simon's family when they were supposed to be fighting off the Devil World devil. Another showed Bowser and Yoshi apparently experiencing a "Freaky Friday" Flip. I can't remember all that came out of that aside from Yoshi making his usual Yoshi noises in Bowser's voice and trying to put on his (now way too small for him) Yoshi boots while in Bowser's body. Somehow, that lead to everybody deciding to wear Yoshi boots (including characters who had no legs), which looked as ridiculous and silly on several particular characters as you would expect. I ended up waking up shortly after that.

This dream was probably the most basic out of all of my recent ones.

Dream 1 was simple: I was watching tv, and it was a news report from Canada. I’m not from Canada, why was I dreaming about a Canadian news channel? That’s random. I forgot the rest, but I do know that at 6:30 my cat woke me up for the 537th time.

Dream 2 was also simple: I’m playing video games, and for some reason, they became a lot harder than usual. I’m first playing Terraria (which I haven’t played in like 3 years or so,) and I’m in a cave. I see this room-ish thing with a door, and a giant button. I look at it and I think it’s a trap. I do the thing all do, and I step inside. It promptly explodes, and I die. That moment annoyed me.

Now I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and I’m sucking at it. I keep screwing up, getting hit, and being overall crap at it. I’m usually average or decent at this game, but not today. I kept getting annoyed at how bad I was that I basically just gave up, and that’s when I woke up. Considering how a couple weeks ago I had a dream where I was impossibly good at Guitar Hero, my ineptitude this morning was just absurd.

Yoshi noises in Bowser's voice are something I really want to hear now. XD

My dream last night was all over the place.

The first thing I remember was Brutalmoose playing some Veggietales computer game.

Next I remember being somewhere out in public and seeing Jack Black there by himself. I recognized him immediately and said something like "Yo, it's Jablinski!" When Jack Black heard this, he leaned forward to hug me. I wasn't expecting that, but I accepted.

Next, I remember playing this new Kirby game. In this game, the Animal Friends returned... except Darker and Edgier. They would appear as a powerup only in certain levels (just like the Super Abilities or Hypernova. They were a group of probably 4 or 5 animals, and when you got them, they would all pile on Kirby's head, and whenever you attacked, they would all attack at once. There was a shark, an octopus, something with claws, something that breathed fire, and probably more.

Also, there was this new, rare ability called "Super" that turned Kirby gold and gave him a bunch of really overpowered attacks.

Finally, I was watching Spider-Man: Far From Home... except it was much different than it probably actually is. In this version, instead of live-action, the movie was all done with hand-drawn animation. Instead of the Elementals and Mysterio, there was a massive Villain Team-Up of classic Spider-Man villains, including Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Vulture, Scorpion, and more. They were mostly the same as in the original comics, but in this version, Doc Ock had some blaster on his chest that shot a size-changing ray. He hit Spidey with this ray, but it only made Spidey bigger, and he just curbstomped Doc Ock.

I don't remember much after that.

That Spider-Man movie sounds pretty cool. Also, Super Kirby is gold-colored and extremely overpowered? Did he copy Gold Experience Requiem?

The entire population of my old high school was "visiting" a grocery store that was an amalgamation of a HyVee (the dominant Midwestern grocery store chain) and Target. The shelves by the checkout line that usually hold trading cards had been replaced by a long electronic board. It displayed a name that I can't remember, but had the initials "GG." Curious, I touched the board and found that GG was a furry site, and a particularly SFW one either. The board dispensed a rubber squish toy shaped like a unicorn's horn; at least, I hoped that's all it was. I met up with my friend in the checkout area, but then the power went out and the temperature started dropping rapidly. (It was winter in the dream.) Everyone started panicking. The same friend said that she had seen a Scolipede in the bakery area, which led me to deduce that the temperature was dropping so rapidly because there were a horde of Cubchoo in the ceilings. (I wonder if Giovanni sent them after his Treecko didn't work out.) The store was evacuated, a river of teenagers pouring out and down a street in winter, and the dream faded out and was replaced by a new setting.

Now the weather was warm and I was with my other friend, walking down a street in what was supposedly a small town in Japan. Beneath a roof like that of a Japanese castle or temple (which is like thinking all buildings in England look like castles or cathedrals, I know) were a restroom, a newspaper stand, and three claw machines so small you had to sit or crouch down to play them, not unlike the ones in this video, and the hole was too small for some of the prizes to fit through. One of them contained among the Hatsune Mikus a tiny Nendoroid-like figure of Rin Matsuoka and a prize figure of Kars. So of course I had to play this machine, but we didn't have any yen coins or anything. A young local man whose appearance and face were reminiscent of Yuki Ono except for his strangely styled hair, like an inverted heart shape, came out of the bathroom or something and noticed us. We communicated with gestures that we needed money, but he produced a roll of small stickers that could somehow be inserted into the claw machine. I thanked him with my extremely limited Japanese skills and came off as too formal. The man must have figured out that we were American, because he produced from his pocket a large metal pin that... vaguely resembled the United States. It was broken up, scrambled, and the Arabian Peninsula had been scaled down to the size of Colorado and inserted approximately where Kentucky would be on a normal map. When I asked him what that was, or rather pointed at it and asked "Nani?" he replied, laughing, "Chaos!" This was apparently so funny to me that I laughed myself awake.

TL;DR: Pokemon cause a grocery store to be evacuated, then more adventures in stereotypical Japan

I dreamed that I was in "Ask the above poster a question," but in real life. We tropers were all together and we were taking turns asking each other questions. It was fun. XD

At some point, I remember someone talking about a time they went skiing. :P

I had 2 dreams, and they’re all rather hazy.

The first dream had me at this movie theater thing, and this movie was about the moon. The movie screen was the entire front wall of the theater, which meant it was really big. I forgot most of what happened, but there was this one person in the audience who was yelling about something. I don’t know what this guy was yelling about, and it was at this point that I woke up.

The next dream was this weird commercial or video. It was almost undescribible. This guy is just doing normal stuff when this pink-poptart guy who looks like he was drawn in MS Paint jumps out of a small bucket and loudly asks him questions about computers. The guy is visibly confused, and Mr. Poptart proceeds to ramble on about something computer-ish. I don’t really know how this dream ends, because I woke up around that point. I don’t know why a commercial for computers would have a weirdly animated square headed poptart man loudly selling computers, but I guess my brain thought it to be a good idea.

I dreamed about a Pixar movie called "Skogs" in which a "typical Pixar protagonist" cheery young man moved into a workplace, or maybe a whole town, inhabited by the titular race of fat, lumpen, grayish humanoids. The Skogs moved very slowly and rarely showed emotion, and thus the movie was very slow-paced and dialogue-driven. It also had elements of deconstructing the usual Pixar formula. The movie was received as an Acclaimed Flop that critics loved, but was so different from Pixar's usual fare that barely anyone saw it.

After that, I dreamed about doing a mashup of homework and my summer job past midnight? and that my brother had a crush on Will A. Zeppeli that started as an inside joke with his Discord buddies.

So a couple weeks ago I went to see the girl I'm dating on her own turf for the first time (opposite ends of the same state) and I guess my subconscious had an odd way of dealing with my nervousness about it. In the dream I was going to the bus depot with chocolates for her, but the depot suddenly had beefed up security like an airport - I was stopped by security and couldn't board with the chocolate and for some reason that meant I had to sit there by the gate and eat it all.

Last night I had one of the weirdest dreams in the history of weird dreams.

If you don't know Camp Camp or any of the characters this might confuse you but oh well.

I had a dream I was watching Camp Camp, and Mr Campbell and David were talking to each other, near the end of an episode. I remember before that searching up the episode of Youtube and it was "Season 4 Episode 8" with the "Season 4" flicking to "Season 8" a few times (in dreams, text changes like that sometimes apparently). So they're talking and Mr Campbell says something but I forgot what. David responds with "Don't worry Mr Campbell! I'm perfectly happy!" and then smiles. (Like he does that super happy smile not just a regular smile if you watch Camp Camp you'll know what I'm talking about). All of a sudden, he suddenly, out-of-nowhere explodes and dies like a Roblox character (when roblox characters die, their arms and legs and head, etc all fall off all over the floor) because he was so happy it caused him to die. Then the episode ended. I remember I was sad/disturbed by it and there were a bunch of Discuss/Discussions on Wikia saying they felt sad about it too.

Very morbid and weird dream. Also made me kind of sad.

Last night’s dream was a bit confusing, due to how all over the place it was.

The first dream was me watching a trailer for some sort of crossover between a movie I haven’t seen in a few years with this movie that doesn’t exist. I was confused as both movies were completely unrelated, and combining the two was weird. After this I was playing Forza and it was a bit messed up. The cars were stupidly slow, the lighting was weird, and I don’t think anything worked properly.

After my cat woke me up like usual, I was playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with a random friend. I pick a Mario stage, and I select the battle mode music from Mario Kart DS, but it was titled random gibberish. Don’t know why this music was in Smash, but I guess it was funny. We start playing, and now things switch to Mario Kart.

This Mario Kart was very weird. We were driving through a blue-ish snowy city, and parts of the graphics were from Mario Kart DS, which looked very out of place. The Sherbet Land music was playing The minimap would sometimes take up the entire screen, and I got an item, and said item was three green shells, but when I tried to use them, a random picture would appear as some kind of weird Jump Scare.

These really stupid jump scares were always accompanied with a rather over the top Scare Chord, which when accompanied by the rather mundane images, makes it extremely Narm-y and kind of comical. This built up until it reached the point while karting around a drawing of this bird guy was the Jump Scare. These pictures weren’t even remotely scary! (There were other pictures of other things, but this is the only one I clearly remember.) Sure, I had a dream once where I played Minecraft and was jumpscared by a flashing stock photo of a banana while death metal played in the back ground, but random pictures of birds? I don’t get it.

In conclusion: I got Jumpscared by a random and harmless picture of Bird People while playing a weird version of Mario Kart. I think my brain was trying to create a nightmare, but it gave up after 2 seconds.

All I can remember from the dreams I had last night was going to a strange DisneyWorld-like park where I briefly hung out with Anna and Elsa (or two folks dressed up as them; my dream couldn't seem to decide which was the case), followed by my folks and I visiting this awesome and colorful beach and combing for seashells, and we found some pretty neat ones. It was a pretty pleasant dream.

In my dream last night, I was playing this weird Pokemon game. In it, you're in this large room, with all sorts of Pokemon dashing in and out of the room really fast. To collect them, you just had to touch them, which was hard because they were so fast.

There were a ton of new ones as well. One resembled a clown elephant, and I loved it. Also, "Circus" was a new Pokemon type, and it was based on the Kirby ability.
