In General

• Some reoccurring characters are shout-outs:
  • The Gingerbread Man himself is a recurring character.
  • SabrinaTheNewAgeWitch's name is a play on Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
  • NonStJon is an Expy of Duke Nukem. His name also references Jon St. John, Duke's voice actor.
  • The End Guy's skin is that of The Dovahkiin.
• This series makes a lot of Team Fortress 2 references, enough for Jake to make a whole compilation containing them.

Part 1

• Death 20 is titled "Joining the Flying Circus".
• Death 25, "The Spice Must Flow", has the victim be eaten by a sand worm.
• Death 26, a spaceship from FTL: Faster Than Light fires a heavy lazer, but misses its shot, hitting Brandon.
• Death 28, "Rushing to Fight the Ender Dragon", is accompanied by a "LEEROY JENKINS!"
• Death 32 is "Trying to Eat Wilbur".

Part 2

• Death 13 shows an avatar named "Neo001" realize he's in a computer game, before being slain by a player wearing a skin resembling Agent Smith.
• Death 21 shows a player finishing off a group of monsters, before Sans comes in and kills the player with giant bone sprites for killing too many monsters. He returns in Death 40 where he kills Stu by slamming him around the room for spoiling the game for Ned.
• Death 31 shows a king being slain by a Killer Rabbit for (as the title puts it) stealing all the carrots in Caerbannog.
• In Death 32, Ned builds SHODAN from System Shock out of redstone.
• In Death 33, "Getting Lost in Nostalgia", the victim is eaten by Pac-Man.
• When Sabrina travels back in time in Death 35, she leaves behind a trail of flames like the DeLorean does when it time travels.
• Death 36, SnakeTheJaik is doing a stand-up comedy act making fun of Legolas. Legolas, who's watching this on a computer, reacts angrily and fires an arrow into the distance, which we see kills Jake.
• The final death of the episode, "Spliting a Bedrock Block", plays out very similarly to the beginning of Half-Life. The facility that the experiment takes place in is even called "Block Mesa".

Part 3

• Death 4, "Living in Kansas" shows Dorothy being sucked up into a tornado.
• Death 18 is "Ignoring TLC's Advice" (don't go chasing waterfalls). The victim is Bugs Bunny.
• Springtrap appears to jumpscare the viewer in Death 49.
• In The Stinger, Nick Fury knocks on jayRiott's door to talk to him about the Avengers Initiative. Jake closes the door on him.

Part 4

• Deaths 15 and 16 are each references to two Nintendo franchises, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda.
• Death 36 shows the Laughing Person die from hype after watching the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer.
• Death 42 shows the victim being crushed by a Tetris block.

Part 5

• Death 13 has Brandon die trying to beat "Through the Fire and Flames".
• In Death 27, Nickromancer builds a oddly-shaped Nether Portal, which teleports him into a forest in Skyrim, where he is killed by a dragon.
• Death 40 is "Lowering the Draw Distance", which leads to the victim getting killed by Pyramid Head.
• Death 45 shows ThatGuyWithTheElytra asking Linkin Park what fireworks he needs to use. He dies after they say that "in the End, it doesn't even matter".

Christmas Edition

• Death 8 is a reference to The Santa Clause.
• In Death 17, two burglars make the mistake of burgling Kevin McCallister.
• Death 26; Brandon gets stuck under the Mistletoe with Poison Ivy.
• Death 35 is "Giving Birth to Offspring That, in Turn, Creates its Own Offspring"… in other words, being a grandma.
• The Heat Miser shows up in Death 36.
• One death has Stu actually eat the Gingerbread Man, similar to how the titular character met his end in the original fairy tale (though here, he's eaten by a human, not a fox).

Part 6

Part 7

• Death 12 involves Lil Timmy visiting The Island Of Sodor, before being squished by Percy, who fell off the rails. Percy returns in Death 49, killing jayRiott while he's in the middle of a bad joke.
• Springtrap comes back for another Jump Scare related death in death 25.

Part 8

• Death 45 — accidentally dropping yourself and some lit TNT into a mob pit — is labeled "Reenacting Your Favorite Scene from Dr. Strangelove".

Part 9

• Death 10 re-enacts a scene from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
• Vaas Montenegro gives a captured Ned his "definition of insanity" speech.

Fairy Tale Style

• One member of Penny Henny's posse is "Flamingo Ringo".

Part 10 (X)

• Death 4 has Smokey the Bear kill Finn for forgetting to put out his campfire.
• The girl who mows Feed Me down with her crossbows in death 16 is clearly channeling Heavy Weapons Guy.
• Death 20 is straight up titled "Half-Life Air Duct Muscle Memory".
• Death 24 has End Guy get killed by the Dragon Egg, who shows up using Inigo Montoya's ever famous quote.
• Death 27 includes a squad of Clone Troopers.
• Death 42 shows a miner breaking into a Skeleton Dungeon, before immediately cutting to a clip from RoboCop (1987), showing the skeletons shooting the player, with the blood censored, of course.

Part 11

Halloween Edition

• In the trailer, the movie monsters and murderers bragging about their kill count are Ghostface, Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Waldo.
  • Freddy Krueger also shows up in the main video during Death 7.
  • Ghostface and Jason appear during Death 9, where Jason kills Ghostface for trying to kill a teenager he called dibs on. Jason appears again for Death 28.
• Chucky appears for Death 2.
• Death 3 shows a military militia dressed up as Mystery Inc.. The actual Scooby Gang shows up in Death 23, where Fred pulls off the head of a crook who glued his mask on, much to the others' horror.
• Death 5 has Charlie Brown, Linus, and Bugs Bunny show up. Linus returns for Death 63, sacrificing Sally to summon the Great Pumpkin, which turns out to be a giant supernatural monster.
• Death 8 shows Norman Bates kill a player in the Bates Hotel. He also appears for Death 29.
• Death 10 has Michael Myers appear, slaying one of his victims, before Captain Kirk beams in and shoots him with his phaser for illegally using his image.
• Death 22 shows Brandon playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
• Deaths 24 and 25 is one to the 1931 Frankenstein film. Death 25 has the original Frankenstein show up and kill the director for changing him to be a dumb brute in the film.
• Death 31 has Stu say "Skiboodle!" before he killed by Jon Jafari.
• Deaths 36 and 43 take audio and recreate scenes from the original Invisible Man film. In 43, the Invisible Man is killed by Pyro.
• Spider-Man and Mary Jane show up for Death 48.
• Death 51 shows a mailman get snatched by a vine while delivering a package to 1313 Cemetery Lane.
• A Xenomorph appears in Deaths 54 and 64.
• In Death 56, ZaAt shows up.
• In Death 62, when a Silversmith produces a firearm to defend himself from a werewolf, a Predator reveals itself and kills him.

Part 12

• In Death 8, a frog tries to cross Ontario Highway 401, in the same vein as Frogger, but gets run over by a bunch of cars while the rendition of Mute City from Super Smash Bros. Melee plays.
• Death 9 features a man trying to take on the Kryptonian Excercise Regime, getting crushed after trying to lift an entire taxi.
• Death 10 features the Kryptonian Exorcism Regime, featuring Superman crushing a possessed child to death with a taxi.
• Death 29 shows Norman changing the render distance to "Fresh Prince", causing every texture to be replaced with images from the show.
• Death 33 and 34 shows Cindy and her husband playing Devil May Cry 3 and then Tetris respectfully, with BlondWolfGirl/PawsterMom and Lil' Timmy imitating the actions in the games, both with hazardous results.

Part 13

• In Death 12, MinerMax finds a Super Mushroom while strip mining, making him grow too big for the tunnel he's digging.

Part 14

• A couple to Ace Combat:
  • Death 21 has SnakeTheJaik make fun of Nagase. His jet is promptly shot down by "every Ace Combat player and a few H.A.W.X. players as well".
  • Death 22 has the "Mission Failed" message from Ace Combat 04, complete with "Requiem" playing in the background.
• Death 6 features a Strider named Hiryu.

Part 15/Cackle of the Cinemadversary

• Young Link is among the casualties of Snaiks accidental prank in Death 10.
• Death 18 seems to be recreating the climatic scene in Avengers: Infinity War...but Jeremy shows up, and things go south from there on.
• Death 26 features the Heavy.
• Death 35 involves a robber trying to steal blueprints from Iron Man, who shows up trying to stop him, only to get Uno reversed.
• Death 37 involves coming across frogs wearing a goat-themed skin, like Toriel. This is because frogs eat goats in the game.
• Death 47 is similar to Death 35, but this time with the XMen and Gambit in place of Iron Man.
• The person who wrote the Snopes article at the end is Lem Sportsinterviews.

Part 16

• Death 20: A spore blossom turns out to be a Pink Xen Barnacle, as poor MinerMax finds out.
• In Death 37, Brain from Pinky and the Brain gets his body turns inside out when the mouse is inverted.
• The victim of Death 49 made the mistake of chestbumping Dolly Parton.
