    Gameplay/Arcade mode
  • Once again, Faust has an utterly bonkers super attack. This time, upon noticing his opponent has collapsed, he quickly grabs a wheelchair and rushes to their aid, only to slam the front wheel of the wheelchair into his opponent's shin, causing their faces to comedically contort in pain. The reactions in the English dub make it that much funnier.
Sol: AAAAAAAGH! God, I swear to Hell...!
    Ky: QU'EST-CE QUE' C'EST?!note  / C'EST LA VIE!note  C'EST SI BON!note
Zato-1: Yes, that did hurt. / Well, that's broken. / Exciting. (his face still contorts in pain despite this, while Eddie looks shocked)
    May: WAAAAAAAAAGH!...that was cheap...
    I-No: TELECOASTER! / LES PAUL! / STRAT!
    Axl: NAZARETH! / BADGER! / BAL-SAGOTH!
Chipp: MACKEREL! / SAKO! / TEMPURA!
Potemkin: DA VINCIIII! / PICASSO! / VAN GOGH!
Faust: TOUGH...! / OLIVER...! / HIPPOCRATES...!
    Ramlethal: Really HUUUURTS!
    Leo: OBSCURA! / EDGUY!
Anji: EXCRUCIATING! / INSANITY! / TOO SPICY!
Goldlewis: CHUPACABRA! / OGOPOGO! / MOTHMAN!
    Jack-O': STIMULATING! / SPICY! / INTENSE!
    Chaos: REALISM...!
Baiken: Didn't See That Coming! / Persevere...!
Bridget: That hurt, you (suddenly deeper) SON OF A-!
    Sin: ESCAMOLE!
Delilah: You're all kinds of sick!
    Johnny: That's hot...
    Elphelt: Cancel the show...!
    A.B.A: Need more bandages!
    • Out of all the characters' reactions, Goldlewis probably has the most subdued reaction, as he just looks plain shocked rather than having his face comically contort like the others.
    • The resident Implacable Man Nagoriyuki can take several powerful attacks in stride, but his mask explodes and his face contorts in utter pain when the wheelchair hits his shin.
    • Poor Rei also feels the pain when Giovanna gets hit by this attack!
    • Since Bedman? can't speak, Delilah does the vocal reaction for when it gets hit. One of her responses in Japanese is a cry that sounds like a lamb's bleating.
    • Attention should also be given to what happens when some characters hit the ground before getting hit with the wheelchair, because there are a few quick moments that happen with some characters:
      • May: Her Chimaki bag's pupils shrink for a brief moment upon impact.
      • Faust: Lands on his face rather than his back.
      • Giovanna: Rei's tongue hangs out from the side of her face.
      • Testament: Their crow lands on their chest and caws at Faust.
      • Bridget: Her yo-yo comes down and hits her in the gut.
      • Asuka: A magical hand emerges from the book in a halting gesture, as if pleading Faust to stop.
      • Johnny: As Johnny hits the ground, he hides his face with his hat.
    • Jack-O' deserves special mention for having different reactions depending on if she's wearing her mask or not. If she does, then stars shoot out of the mask's eye holes and her tongue sticks out to absurd lengths with a second Jack-O' and a Servant holding a pose that reads "please, no more!" on top of her tongue. If she doesn't, she puffs out her cheeks to an overly exaggerated degree with her eyes nearly popping out of her sockets as she tries her absolute best to not scream in pain.
    • Happy Chaos not only hides his obvious pain behind a forced smile, his eyes turn into slot machines with skull symbols!
    • Baiken's face will contort into looking like a hannya mask, complete with the blood draining out of her face to give it a white color.
    • Testament's reaction has them pulling at their own cheeks from the pain, making them look almost akin to a pug dog. Their voice also goes up by several octaves from the pain, too, and their crow is seen falling out of the sky behind them.
    • Bridget tries to keep up a smile by forcefully pressing her cheeks upwards with her fingers, but her eyes blatantly show her pain. It also comes with a hilarious nod to her old win animations where her yo-yo smacks her in the stomach when she's first knocked dowm.
    • Sin has to resort to biting down on his own flagpole just to endure the pain, and he bites so hard that it starts to crack in his mouth.
    • Bedman?'s head piece begins to break apart, revealing teethnote  while Delilah can only look on in complete shock.
    • It seems as though Raven may have rubbed off a little too much on Asuka, because his reaction is to laugh it off with an expression that looks like he's enjoying it. And there's even literally a "HAHAHA" text accompanying the entire scene.
    • Johnny's shades fall from his face as he seemingly points to the sky, though it's very obvious that he is one finger off from giving Faust the bird.
    • Elphelt's face scrunched up to the point that she looks like a rabbit.
    • Similar to Delilah, Paracelsus is horrified seeing his "wife" getting hit in the shins, while A.B.A. pulls her lips down in disgust.
  • Faust also has a special attack that allows him to give his opponent's a Funny Afro, increasing their hitbox size. Even better, it'll stay on the opponent during their win poses, which can turn what would normally be a badass animation into pure hilarity.
    • If the afro gets ignited by Faust's attacks, it explodes. This can make round victories hilarious if he finishes one by lighting it since the bomb-afro sticks around for the defeat animation, and the prone loser can still be hit.
    • If a masked Jack-O' has an afro when she's hit by the aforementioned wheelchair, her tiny copy on her tongue also has one.
    • If this is done on Bedman?, both the Bed and Delilah get an afro, with Delilah's being a small top-bun.
  • Nagoriyuki has a taunt where he pulls out a set of onigiri and proceeds to eat them while spouting the nutritional info of rice balls. At length.
  • The change to Sol's Dragon Install from Super Mode transformation to a mere lunging command grab in Open Beta means that the move can now be subjected to Roman Cancel, allowing the player to stop the epic buildup early before slowly walking up to the opponent and throwing them to the ground.
  • Just like Xrd, Ramlethal has an extended taunt where she talks with Lucifero, with a couple possible talking points:
    • One starts off heartwarming, with the two discussing Ram's life living amongst the humans and her loneliness while she's away from her sister Elphelt and her adopted family in Ky, Sin, and Dizzy. Lucifero is quick to note something, though, which leads into the funny part:
Lucifero: ...but I did notice, my name wasn't on that list.
Ramlethal: Well, that's because you're always with me.
Lucifero: Heheh. Does that mean I can be with you when you take a showe-
      Ramlethal: Self-destruct.
    • In another, Lucifero notices that Ram's been a bit flushed and fidgety, and asks if there's a guy she likes. Misunderstanding, Ram lists off Ky, Sin, and Sol, who she refers to as "father" after a seconds-long gap.
Lucifero: No, not that kind of like, I mean... the kind of feeling that makes girls flock to a handsome guy like me!
      Ramlethal: Self-destruct...
Lucifero: Sorry, heh, got off track! Wait, no- like someone who you can't fall asleep, when you think about. That kind of like.
      Ramlethal: Oh...
Lucifero: So there is a guy...
      Ramlethal: Leo.
      Lucifero: ...But, why?
      Ramlethal: I don't know.
Lucifero: That big, bear-lookin' gorilla? Psht. I'm way better!
Ramlethal: What's that, you want to self-destruct?
      Lucifero: Fine, I'm sorry...
  • Like Xrd, each member of the roster appropriately reacts when hit with the Heavenly Potemkin Buster. Most of the fighters returning from Xrd have more-or-less the same lines from that game, but with the newcomers; Anji, Testament, Bridget and A.B.A making their proper 3D debuts; and the post-Revelator additions to Xrd's roster getting a proper English dub...
    Nagoriyuki: What a view...
Giovanna: Hey, is this gonna hurt? / Uh, now what?
    Anji: Wait, wait, WAAAAAAAIT!
Goldlewis: TELL ME YOU'RE JOKING! / MEDIIIIIIC!
Chaos: You know I don't do stunts, right? / Oh, This Is Gonna Suck.
    Jack-O': It's a human rollercoaster! / Gravity? That's the best you've got?!
    Baiken: Hey there, Mr. Heavenly.
    Testament: Such immaculate musculature.
    Bridget: Wait, there’s no seatbelt!
    Sin: Old man, HELP!
Asuka: I doubt we'll even achieve terminal velocity.
Johnny: Talk about a view! / Oh, two guys goin' stag, huh?
Chipp: Oh! My! ''GOOOOD!!!'' / Like a carp on a CUTTING BOOOARD!!!
    • For all the people comparing Goldlewis to The Heavy, this could almost be considered a completely unintentional shout-out.
    • Testament is barely fazed by their impending beating... until Potemkin starts his descent and their hat flies off, forcing them to quickly grab it with a look of utter panic.
    • Bedman? doesn't have any lines due to Delilah not being present when the bed is grabbed, but the way its head animates very much resembles an Oh, Crap! reaction.
    • Elphelt, in what can only be described as immense dedication to her craft, whips out her mic as she falls so she can record her scream.
    • Potemkin actually grabs Paracelsus instead of A.B.A, but A.B.A still gets dragged along because she refuses to let go.
  • The English dub has some funny bits:
  • Anji's Arcade story is basically one entire funny moment. It involves him and Chipp travelling to the ends of the Earth in order to locate Nagoriyuki... So they can become friends with him to complete their Japanese warrior group. And they're not taking "No" for an answer.
  • Should Goldlewis win a match, he turns away from his fallen opponent to get a variety of prank phone calls or try to contact Vernon, only to call the wrong number instead. While this is happening, the poor opponent gets abducted by aliens. Dickinson, being the skeptic that he is, is surprised to find his opponent gone, and in one of his lines he ponders the situation in the most 'Murican way possible.
    "What in tarnation?"
    • Making this even funnier is the fact that every character has unique lines as they're being whisked away by the aliens. Some of them even get cut off mid-sentence as they're being beamed up.
Sol: This ain't a manga... / Ha ha, hell of a joke. / It's all on the table, huh?
Ky: Unbelievable...! / Is this an illusion? / This can't be real!
May: I knew they existed! / I believed in you! / I... wanna... go home...
Axl: Don't take my memories away! / I-I didn't see a thing! / *gasping in shock*
Chipp: Is this Hell?! / Evil spirits?! / I'm gonna get abducted!
Potemkin: So the U.S. has captured them too- / Ha ha. What are you doing there? / Far too skinny... What have you been feed-
      Faust: Familiarity... / U.M.A... / Scientifically... uncat-
Millia: All my memories... / That...looks familiar. / It all feels... oddly nos-
Zato: I looked everywhere for you... / So it's you... / So that's where you were...
Ramlethal: Why naked? / How beautiful... / Huh. Antennas.
Leo: You shine too bright! Don't upstage- / An alien?! Hmph! Bow- / Are you lost? Ah, forget the-
Nagoriyuki: You'll catch a cold in that outfit. / Whoa, whoa! Is that a probe?! / Take me with you. I'd like-
Giovanna: On planet Earth, we wear clothes- / Oh, so you really do look like that- / May I take a photo?
Anji: If I win, can I take him home?! / I knew the pictures couldn't do it just-! / What is this? 1947? note
      I-No: Interesting~ / So they're real... / Just like in the books.
Goldlewis: Take me to the land of U.M.A...! / Stop! I am your ally-! / Oh-ho-ho, a U.M.A.!!
Jack-O': Huh? I expected tentacles! / Well, this doesn't make any sense! / Whoa! This isn't bad!
Chaos: I hope I can exist in your world, too! / The sci-fi I always wanted- / Great! We meet a-
Baiken: Are you the devil...? / Woah! A flying rice ball? / You've finally come for me, eh?
Testament: I'm hardly dressed for a party... / Sorry to intrude. / Ooh, how shiny-
Bridget: Can I see the dark side of the- / T-take my money! Just ta-! / Wow, it almost looks-
Sin: I KNEW the old man was- / Wait, let me tell my mom where I'm go-
Delilah: Am I dreaming...? / I hope they make good conversation- / U-unknown lifeforms?!
Asuka: Analysis is no possibility of-
Johnny: This is my kinda sh-note  / Hey, ladies! / Ah, the allure of-
Elphelt: Do they have love on your planet? / A galactic tour? Let's go! / Are you my alien husband?!
      A.B.A.: Don't forsake me, dear! / Don't touch Paracelsus! / Non-human intellig-
    • What makes it better is judging by Ramlethal, Nagoryuki and Giovanna's lines, said aliens that are abducting them are most likely of the naked type.
    • Sometimes the call Goldlewis gets is from a pizza place, which he tells them he didn't order any pizza. After his opponent gets abducted, Goldlewis sits and ponders about getting some lunch, completely ignoring the fact that the person he just fought has disappeared.
  • Goldlewis's Respect animation involves him ordering U.M.A. to bring out a secret weapon or resort to "Plan F". The alien will then either give Goldlewis a chicken or a bouquet of flowers to use as a weapon which he will try to pass off as dangerous before giving it back or sprout several hands holding white surrender flags which Goldlewis orders to be put away, saying the battle isn't over yet.
    • His lines don't fail one bit, making their relationship come off as comedic duo:
(Surrendering taunt:) Aw dammit, stop that!
(Plan F:) Huh? That can't be right...
(Plan F:) Oh! Uh... let me explain!
(Plan F:) Th-this is an object of terrifying power.
(Surrendering taunt:) Hey, hey! What are you surrendering for?
  • Goldlewis' interactions with Giovanna throughout his arcade mode is filled to the brim with it. Their initial fight happens because Goldlewis catches her ditching work.
    • And then there's Giovanna jumping in to back up Goldlewis during his fight with Nagoriyuki:
Giovanna: Hi, ready to get bitch slapped?
    • And then after the fight is over.
Nagoriyuki: You've insufficiently trained your hunting dog!
Giovanna: Hear that, boss? He's calling you a bad dog trainer. Ouch.
Goldlewis: You're the one he's callin' a dog...
Nagoriyuki: ENOUGH OF THIS! Find another member for your comedy troupe.
  • Much like Xrd, Strive's tutorial is amusing, at least if you're going a bit above and beyond. If you use certain mechanics such as specials and air dashes, Ky will react. But if you perform an Overdrive:
  • Happy Chaos' intro animation has him interrupt his opponent's animation by walking up behind them and giving them a pat on the back. In a Mirror Match, the Chaoses will instead high-five each other and compliment their jacket.
  • Happy Chaos's arcade storyline is a continuation of I-No's, taking place in paradoxical timelines the latter's been hopping through, all featuring versions of Nagoriyuki with slightly different personality traits. The Nagoriyuki Chaos encounters at the end of stage 8 is a bit special — should the player fail at attaining a Flawless Victory on this stage, Nagoriyuki spouts something completely Out of Character compared to the real one as he makes his exit:
"Nagoriyuki": Piece of shit! I want nani-mo nothing to do with you!
  • After Baiken defeats Nagoriyuki in her arcade mode, the two start to wax philosophical on what drives Baiken to fight. Anji, who is along for the ride, starts to get second-hand embarrassment.
Nagoriyuki: I have seen blades without bloodlust. Blades forged in joy, blades that offer compassion, and blades that inspire. But yours is different.
Baiken: Maybe, I don't even know what it is myself. But it does have a name. Regret.
    Anji: Sounds so lame...
  • The sheer fact that Testament has taken up a ludicrous amount of hobbies since we last saw them. That is to say, enough hobbies that their character page simply says "Too many to list."Testament's hobbies
  • Sin has special intros for when he fights Ky, varying based on who is on which side, and both qualify:
    • If Sin is Player 1:
Ky: Do you know your arithmetic, at least?
Sin: Wait, what's a rhythm tick?
    • If Ky is Player 1, there is a Call-Back to the "sugar water" incident from the last game:
Sin: Dad, have you ever had "chili"? It's a super-secret hero feast Old Man made for me!
Ky: (as Sin keeps talking about chili) Sol, you...! What did you teach him now?!
  • Sin's Arcade Story starts with him getting duped by a pickpocket, which ends up leading him to encounter Zato, of all people. And he's perfectly fine with this, reasoning that it's the thought he helped someone that counts. Not that it stops Zato from joking about it in front of Ky during the final fight.
    • If you manage to beat Ky on the extreme route, Dizzy gives him a call, revealing why Sin was out and about in the first place, and making him getting pickpocketed even funnier:
Ky: Sin. Didn't your mother ask you to go shopping?
Sin: Uh-Umm... That... Does sound familiar. What was I supposed to buy? Milk... Um, what else...?
      Ky: Sin.
Sin: Yes sir! Right away, sir!
Ky: Your strength hasn't changed you one bit. That's not necessarily a bad thing.
  • Johnny has a special interaction with Happy Chaos, complimenting him on his sunglasses. Just the fact that Johnny of all characters has something nice to say about Happy Chaos is comedy gold.
  • Elphelt is back, and this time she's brought three hilariously long taunts with her.
    • One of her taunts has her suddenly fall asleep. During this, she may start muttering to herself thanking none other than her Mother, the Universal Will (who, mind you, is a currently-imprisoned Eldritch Abomination), for coming to her concert.
    • Her other taunt is her thinking about what song she would write for each of the characters, similar to her old marriage proposal win quote in Xrd. This includes herself, of course. Special mention goes to her taunt against Bridget, where she gets a little insecure that Bridget might become more popular than her.
    • Her Respect involves her pulling out a very familiar-looking piece of paper with a ribbon attached to it. Lo and behold, it's her marriage certificate from Xrd, but she's trying to pass it off as a sign-up membership for her band's fan club. Then as she's gushing about it she proceeds to slowly walk toward the opponent and open it right in their face, beckoning them to sign it.note
  • Elphelt's arcade mode has Nagoriyuki come across one of her misplaced "sign-up forms", and his attempt to return it to her causes her to assume that he's trying to propose. The rest of her story has Nagoriyuki, the stoic, troubled Warrior Poet, running himself ragged trying to catch up to Elphelt and clear things up, only for her to get giddy and run off before he can get to it. The whole debacle even manages to elicit a chuckle from Faust, of all people! Even better, each ending of her Arcade Mode is a case of Serial Escalation. In the first two, where she doesn't make it to Stage 9, Nagoriyuki clears things up that he has no interest in marrying her. In the Stage 9 route, however, he ends up going along with it to some extent, and as they both run off he can be heard in the distance talking to her about what color wedding dress she likes more.
  • Elphelt has some of the most over-the-top facial expressions and animations during gameplay. Her crouch attack, which is a sweep kick, has her landing on her rump, and yells in pain afterward. If the player were to whiff Bomb-Bombnnière, Elphelt will fall face-first on the ground with her legs in the air. Some other mentions include Miss Charlotte (Out of Repair), wall splat, and draw animation. It's pretty safe to say, she's a lot goofier this time around.
  • A.B.A's Jealous Rage state grants her the speed and power to overwhelm her opponents with a powerful, relentless offence... or she can just mutter angrily to herself until she calms down. She has unique lines of dialogue that play while she's idle in Jealous Rage state, and the only way to hear them in their entirety is to effectively waste it.
A.B.A: How dare you be so shameless? Dribbling our love like it's nothing...? Who raised you like this?
  • A.B.A's taunt in Jealous Rage state effectively amounts to her throwing a tantrum, slamming Paracelsus on the floor and chewing on him.
  • Most characters have something nice to say about their opponent in their respect animation. A.B.A does not. Instead, Paracelsus compliments them on her behalf, only for A.B.A to react with shock and bitterly add her own two cents.

    Story mode
  • Vernon explaining the security procedure for That Man/Asuka in detail as they avoid the press' helicopters, only for Asuka to reveal that he was the one who called the press himself. Vernon's face says it all.
  • Just as Sol finishes complaining about living at the Illyria castle Ky resides when discussing that Jack-O' should've stayed there, Ky calls in to recall Sol back to the castle. Sol's face immediately drops.
  • In a flashback, Frederick is about to show Aria something on his 'portable computer' with excitement, only for Aria to correctly guesses it's an Easter Egg hidden in program code. Possibly knowing that he is about to propose to her as well.
Frederick: "Well, shit. This is awkward."
    • A couple of banters about Frederick taking his work with him outdoors then it hits you: the man who would become the foul-mouthed Gear-slaying monster we know and love is secretly a massive nerd.
  • At the castle, Ky asks Sol what he thinks I-no could've done to Ariels to leave her in the catatonic state they see before them. Sol, knowing how sharp-tongued I-no is, assumes she just gave her the worst verbal beatdown of her life. Later on in the story, I-no gets arrested by Illyrian forces - during her interrogation, when asked what she did to Ariels, I-no's answer is exactly what Sol speculated, causing Sol to shrug and shoot Ky a comically big frown.
Ky: Don't give me that "I told you so" look.
  • In an early cutscene Sol comments that living at Illyria Castle isn't all it's cracked up to be, stating that you need to ask for permission just to open the refrigerator. Ky later clarifies that the "refrigerator" that Sol mentions is actually the castle's massive food storeroom, and that Sol got chewed out for breaking in just to grab a bottle of cheap booze he could have gotten at any regular store.
  • Vernon summing up Gabriel's response to his S.O.S. call to Sol. Keep in mind that he tried calling from inside the White House.
    Sol: How'd it go?
Vernon: ... They're going to drop a nuke on us.
    Sol: HUH?!
  • Following up to the above scene after Vernon got hung up on, Gabriel has an Oh, Crap! moment when a subordinate tells him that the emergency call they had received was legitimately coming from the White House just as a news anchor reported the continual chaos at the White House from one of the newsfeed he had been monitoring. Right after he had threatened to launch a tactical nuke in case it was prank call, not realizing that the call was from his fellow head of state.
  • During one of the myriad moments Sol and Vernon are seen fleeing from Happy Chaos's guards, Sol gets fed up with his lack of range (especially without his Fireseal) and delivers a rather meta one-liner while under fire:
    Sol: Projectiles are bullshit!
  • When Sol and Vernon get cornered by Nagoriyuki while trying to get to Asuka, Giovanna shows up on interrupting the fight. Vernon exasperatedly asks why she didn't show up sooner despite tailing him, she simply responds how it's better to "save the best for last," causing Vernon to react between Angrish (not properly doing her job of protecting him) and Dumb Struck on not able to even curse properly.
  • Sol and Vernon need to reach a control room on one of Tír na nÓg's external towers, but a bunch of Chaos' mind-controlled goons are in the way. What does Sol do? He ramps of the side of the ship in the Fire Wheel with Vernon in the sidecar and lets the high wind currents carry them to their destination. All Vernon can do is yell at the top of his lungs the whole way.
  • The reveal that the reason why Sol (now simply back to Fredrick) made something (a second Outrage) as overpowered and up until his depowering, unnecessary was to stave off boredom. It says much of Fredrick's personality that his go to hobby is making absurd super weapons.
  • The ending has a shining example of Hypocritical Humor as Fredrick (formerly Sol, who is infamous for his lack of manners) tells a would-be customer to get a book on manners. It gets followed up on as at the end of the exchange, the guy talks about getting that book.

    Another Story DLC
  • Baiken was all "I did my part" on technically having escorted Delilah to Illyria. When Delilah starts following Baiken, the swordswoman makes a rather annoyed expression and tries threatening Delilah. Ineffectively, hilariously emphasized by the rather cheerful whistling background music as the background changes.
    Baiken: Stop following me.
    Baiken: Go away.
Baiken: One more step and I cut you down.
  • When Delilah discloses her reason for why she's following Baiken around:
Delilah: I asked Mr. Mito for help. When I told him my story, he sent me your way, Miss Baiken.
    Baiken: First rule: no "miss."
Delilah: Then how about... Big Sis?
Baiken: Do you want me to cut you?
  • While Sin is trying to tell Baiken that Sol and Ky can avenge her kid (who he believes is Delilah), she responds that she never had one. Sin then asks why Baiken has an eyepatch and she quickly brushes him off. Everything spirals down in a way nobody in the room was prepared for.
Sin: Say no more. Mom always said it's not really a story for kids... But I'm five years old, already! I know where babies come from. They pop out of your eye, right?
(Phalanx soldier turns his head as if confirming that Sin actually just said that. Baiken, May and April stare in shock.)
    May: Umm... Care to elaborate?
Sin: I mean, what else is there to tell? One day, one of Mom's eyes fell out. So Dad got all freaked out and gave her one of his. Thing is, it didn't fit so well. It fell right back out and Mom got better on her own.
(Cut to Baiken, who's jaw is slowly dropping while her hand is trembling.)
Sin: A bit of this, a bit of that, and both of 'em were healed. Later, dad's eye, the one that fell on the ground... Turned into me!
(Baiken, May and April stare in horror as dramatic music plays.)
    Ramlethal: D-Did it hurt?
Baiken: You're in for a shock when you learn the whole story.
Sin: Really? I dunno. I'm pretty hard to shock!
    • It's entirely implied that, of all the people to tell Sin this story, it was Dizzy.
    • Even funnier? Faust, who was present for and assisted in Sin's birth, is also present in the room. And even though he's currently focused on more pressing matters (saving Delilah), he says nothing that confirms or denies Sin's explanation. This implies that, on some level, he might be on to something.
    • The fact that Ramlethal's reaction to it is to genuinely ask Sin if it hurt. There is a chance that Sin managed to get Ramlethal, the same person who declared war on all of humanity in Xrdnote , to think that this is how babies are made.
