Ace

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6810.JPG
Voiced by: Jason Griffith

He's the host of WOW!, a reality talent show and considers himself the Winx' boss.

  • Fake-Hair Drama: After Bloom accidentally knocks his hairpiece off revealing him to be balding in front of thousands in the audience and at home, he gets so upset he winds up firing her from the show.
  • The Host: He's in charge of WOW! and lets everybody know it.
  • Hypno Fool: He's this because of Smee, who was posing as an assistant.
  • Large Ham: Ace is extremely bombastic when hosting the show.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Played for laughs after replacing Bloom with Lorelei. He got very annoyed at her incompetence and soon regrets ever hiring her.
    Ace: Who hired that idiot!?
  • Nice Character, Mean Actor: On the show, Ace is friendly and goofy. Off camera, he's a rude, short-tempered prima donna.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: He's clearly based on the Italian reality talent show judge Morgan.

Margot

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6811.JPG
Voiced by: Samara Naeymi

One of the two judges of WOW!, Margot is overly haughty and critical. She has a small dog named Puff with her.

  • Deadpan Snarker: When she's not being contemptuous of the contestants.
  • Jerkass: It seems her only purpose on the show is to belittle and talk down on any and all contestants no matter who they are.
  • Right-Hand Dog: Puff never leaves her side.

Cliff

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6812.PNG
Voiced by: Billy Bob Thompson

The second of the two judges of WOW!. Cliff is . . . in a word, cheerful, making him Margot's opposite.

  • Keet: He's excited by what the contestants have to offer.
  • Nice Guy: Cliff is far nicer than his castmates, Ace and Margot.
  • The Pollyanna: He has a positive attitude towards the contestants . . . unlike Margot.

Lorelei

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6813.PNG
Voiced by: Erica Schroeder

Hired by Ace to replace Bloom after she ends up embarrassing him on tv.

  • Attention Whore: Lorelei sees herself as a star . . . whether the Winx like it or not. She even managed to annoy Flora, which is saying a lot.
  • Cassandra Truth: When Lorelei discovers that the Winx are fairies, she tries to expose them on tv. Not only does nobody believe her, she gets fired to boot.
  • The Ditz: Lorelei is bubbly and not exactly bright. See Dumb Blonde.
  • Dreadful Musician: Lorelei is awful at singing and terrible in playing instruments.
  • Dumb Blonde: Lorelei is so thick and shallow she makes Stella (who isn't exactly intellectually gifted herself) look like Stephen Hawking.
  • Evil Counterpart: Stella refers to Lorelai as being her "duplicate."
  • Genki Girl: Not only is Lorelei hyperactive, she's more than a bit obnoxious.
  • Large Ham: Perhaps not to the extent of Ace, but she can get rather hammy.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: How the Winx girls view Lorelei as she is nothing but an annoying pain to them.

Evans

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6815.PNG

One of two undercover detectives investigating the disappearance of talented young people, she is a no-nonsense type.

  • By-the-Book Cop: Evans in a nutshell, since she takes her cases very seriously.
  • Fair Cop: She's a good looking police detective so she definitely qualifies.
  • "Stop Having Fun" Guy: She's the one who drags Gomez back in line whenever he's slacking off.

Gomez

Voiced by: Wayne Grayson

Evans' partner. He's the more easy going of the two.

Louise

Annabelle’s coworker.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Her envy towards Annabelle made her attempt to sabotage Annabelle’s performance, but this led to Annabelle’s capture by the Talent Thief.
  • Tears of Remorse: Louise breaks down in sobs after Annabelle’s disappearance.

Naoki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_7493.PNG
Voiced by: Graham Halstead

One of the talents that the Winx meet, and a computer whiz.

  • Asian and Nerdy: His name, "Naoki", implies he's of japanese descent.
  • Attention Whore: Has a mild case of this.
  • Cassandra Truth: Thanks to his Attention Whore tendencies, nobody believes him when he tries to tell people he was attacked by a humanoid crocodile.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: Ultimately the reason for his Attention Whore tendencies is his desire to be seen as special by people.
  • Hollywood Hacking: His specialty. He uses a video game to hack into the cameras following the Winx around, for instance.
  • Secret-Keeper: One of the few to know that the Winx are fairies before the second season finale.
  • Ship Tease: He's a teenage boy being defended by a sextet of drop-dead beautiful girls, and he has the appropriate reaction. It's especially prominent with Tecna and Stella, however; the former is the one who encourages him (and seems to have a crush on him) in his "Super Naoki" fantasy, and the latter is the one who gives him a goodbye kiss in the end of his second episode.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: When he's being pursued by the Winxmobile, he believes that the girls are a secret organization that's come to wipe his memories of the crocodile man, and acts accordingly.

    Introduced in Season 2

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_7251.PNG
Voiced by: Abe Goldfarb

A young man targeted by forces from the World of Dreams (aka Neverland) He is the son of Peter Pan.

  • The Chosen One: Because of his parentage, Matt ends up involved.
  • Flight of Romance: Has one with Tinkerbell after the latter's Heel–Face Turn.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Matt can come off as rather selfish, arrogant and self-centered, but beneath that exterior is a loyal friend with a noble heart.
  • Love Before First Sight: Falls in love with Tinkerbell after seeing her face in a constellation, long before the two officially meet.
  • Shout-Out: His full name is a reference to Peter Pan's author, Sir James Matthew Barrie.
  • Unlikely Hero: Is pulled into the affairs of the World of Dreams due to his heritage, but is far from being hero material at first.

Wendy Darling

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_7499.PNG

A woman who once visited the World of Dreams in her youth where she met Peter Pan.

    World of Dreams Inhabitants

Lagoon Mermaids

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_7280.JPG
A trio of mermaids from the World of Dreams who snuck to Earth to have a good time after their home got corrupted by the Queen.

  • Attention Whore: They strive to get people to pay attention to them, even if they have to hypnotize people to do so.
  • Hypnotic Eyes: They have the ability to charm people to do what they want.
  • Making a Splash: Being mermaids, their powers are water-based.
  • Mass Hypnosis: Managed to hypnotize an entire crowd of people at a pool party.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: Despite acting like a bunch of Alpha Bitches, the mermaids don't really want to hurt anybody. They attacked the Winx because they assumed fairies must work for the Queen.

    Antagonists

The Queen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6818.JPG
Voiced by: Brittany Pressley

The main villain of Season One. She rules the World of Dreams.

  • Anti-Climax: In season 2 once the Winx and the rebels break through into her domain, the Queen finally comes down to deal with them personally. However, once she catches sight of Matt, the one who actually loved her, she loses her will to fight.
  • Big Bad: She is the one behind the abductions of the young talents.
  • Dark Is Evil / Light Is Good: As The Queen, she has black hair, wears dark makeup and dark clothing with bat wings motif. After reverting back to her original form as Tinkerbell, she has blonde hair with golden wings and a white flowing dress.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: She was set up as such in the end of Season 2 before the Winx face Venomya.
  • Easily Forgiven: Both played straight and averted. She is almost immediately forgiven by the Winx, but the inhabitants of Neverland want her to pay for the terror she inflicted upon them for years. Somewhat justified seeing as the Winx were not directly affected by her cruelty, and thus are able to forgive her more easily, while the same cannot be said for her subjects.
  • Foil: To Bloom. More specifically, Dark Bloom. While Bloom became Dark Bloom because of an evil spell controlling her, Tinkerbell became a dark fairy of her own volition purely because she was heartbroken beyond consolation until Matt came in.
  • Flight of Romance: Has one with Matt after reverting to her uncorrupted form.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: A given, since she IS the Big Bad.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Near the end of season 2.
  • Love Father, Love Son: She fell in love with Peter Pan years ago, and it was his abandonment that drove her to villainy. Later unknowingly falls in love with his son, Matt. It worked out this time.
  • Love Makes You Evil: Season 2 reveals that the root of her evil is the pain from when her beloved Peter Pan chose to leave Neverland and live on Earth.
  • Love Redeems: Is redeemed after falling in love with Matt, Peter Pan's son.
  • Redemption Rejection: After encountering Matt again, Tinkerbell forsakes her dark magic as she became repentant over all she had caused. However, Jim rounds up the rebels to not forgive her and demands she dies for everything she's done.
  • Suddenly Voiced: In Season 2, she is able to speak again.
  • The Voiceless: Until she stole Anabelle's singing voice that is.
  • The Reveal: The Queen was once a fairy named Tinkerbell.
  • Woman Scorned: Turned evil and cursed her entire land and its inhabitants after Peter, who she was in love with, left Neverland.

The Shaman

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6821.PNG

The Queen sent him to abduct talented youngsters for her.

  • Bare-Fisted Monk: He's a capable martial artist in his own right.
  • The Dragon: He is one of the Queen's minions.
  • Expy: He resembles Duman of the Wizards of the Black Circle, mohawk and all.
  • Facial Markings: He sports dark red stripes.
  • Smoke Out: This is how he manages to escape thanks to his magical stones.
  • Shout-Out: Continuing the Peter Pan theme with his colleagues, he most likely alludes to the Indian tribes of Neverland.
  • Undying Loyalty: To the Queen.

The Crocodile Man

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6817.JPG

A humanoid reptile out to cause havoc.

  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Originally introduced in season 1 as one of the Queen's Mooks and a minor antagonist to the Winx, he resorts to seeking the Winx's help in freeing his imprisoned brother early on in season 2, and ends up allying himself with them out of gratitude.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: This goes without saying. Particularly if it's an anthropomorphized one. Then there's his brother, the Alligator Man.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Indeed. And vicious to boot.
  • Shout-Out: To the Crocodile from Peter Pan.

Smee

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_6819.PNG
Voiced by: Billy Bob Thompson

He has been sent by the Queen to handle the Winx.

  • Amulet of Concentrated Awesome: Smee is shown to be generally incompetent in direct combat and somewhat dimwitted, but his octopus amulet gives him enough power to be a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention, at one point he managed to hypnotize Ace almost to the point of insanity with the help of his magic watch.
  • The Dragon: He is the Queen's main minion. At the end of the first season, he becomes this to Jim/Captain Hook.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: Is very bitter and disappointed that Jim sold him out to save his own skin.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Does one after Jim's betrayal.
  • Mind Manipulation: Smee basically mesmerizes Ace into doing his bidding.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Jim imprisons Smee to cover his ass after their kidnapping of Matt goes wrong. Smee repays Jim by pushing him overboard during the final battle.
  • Shout-Out: As with the Crocodile Man, He is based on Captain Hook's boatswain from Peter Pan.
