Sonic the Hedgehog characters

Introduced in Sonic Adventure 2

    Sonic
"I'm gonna kill all of you!"
Voiced by: Penny Parker
Everyone’s favorite boy, a speedy hedgehog with a thirst for adventure and a strong sense of justice...ostensibly, anyway. In reality, he’s an impulsive Jerkass who puts much less value in his bonds than his canon equivalent does.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: All the characters get this, but Sonic probably has it the worst. From gleefully killing masses of soldiers to treating his friends (especially Tails) like shit to repeatedly tormenting Eggman, Sonic does plenty of things his mainline version never would.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: States he's gay in 2006 dub, and is exes with both the President and Shadow. However, he earlier told Shadow he was attracted to Elise, and is confirmed to have slept with Eggman's wife, so he may actually be bi, assuming he didn't sleep with her solely to mess with Eggman. He also had sex with Eggman's crops.
  • Asshole Victim: He's a massive dick, but it still hurts to see him get blasted by Mephiles (especially since as opposed to canon, the entire thing was an accident and Mephiles was horrified by what he had done).
  • Big Damn Heroes: Sonic comes in at the very last minute to save the Subspace Emissary crew from whatever evil and shitty thing Tabuu was about to do with all the biphobia.
  • Boomerang Bigot: Sonic opposes Shadow giving furries the right to vote, despite being one himself.
  • Break the Haughty: The emotional hell he's put through in the latter half of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity ultimately causes him to mature and begin to treat other people kinder, and he begins to rebuild his friendship with Tails and Knuckles.
  • The Cameo: He appears just in time to save the day in The Subspace Emissary.
  • Faux Horrific: Furries being given the right to vote fills him with sheer terror.
  • Gun Nut: He thinks he should have the right to hold a gun in the Shadow dub, unlike in the original game, where he says he wouldn't be caught dead with one.
  • It's All About Me: Constantly puts himself and his own whims and desires over what actually needs to be done, even when in danger. He also tends to assume that his very presence means that he's helping the cause, which he usually uses as an excuse to sit around offering unhelpful advice or trash-talking others.
Sonic: Everything I say is helpful, right?
Tails: That's... Part of the problem.
  • Jerkass Realization: He has one in Sonic Riders, after Jet tells him how rude he's been to everyone, and he goes to apologize to Tails and Knuckles for his jerkass behaviors. Notably, this Character Development actually sticks in the Shadow dub, as he's much more pleasant to be around.
  • Non Sequitur: In Sonic 06, he just feels the need to blurt out the word "One!" whenever he points skywards.
    Elise: Yeah. One.
    Alfred: Oh my fucking God.
  • Noodle Incident: His entire relationship with the President. All that's divulged in on it is that he wants to kill the President over it and the President wishes Sonic would kill him.
  • Polyamory: He marries Shadow and Silver near the end of Sonic 06, but due to the Cosmic Retcon Elise did this is no longer canon.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Even after becoming a good boy, when Sonic tries to prevent the election of a then-comatose Shadow, he's attacked and dismissed as a "blue bitch" for pointing out that a president in a coma would be unable to enact policy.
  • Sorry, I'm Gay: In Sonic 06, he confesses to Elise that he's gay after she kisses him back to life.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He's noticeably much more pleasant in Shadow the Hedgehog, openly laughing at others quips, greeting Shadow warmly and trying to bond with him over My Chemical Romance, and even treating Actual Satan as a potential new friend.

    Tails
"How am I flying this plane, I'm literally like 5 years old, I am not equipped to do this!"
Voiced by: Blue Lennox (from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Limits of Man to Sonic Riders and The Necessity of Change), Mar Katoto (Shadow the Hedgehog Goes to Hell onwards)
Sonic's best friend, a young two-tailed fox with a penchant for inventing. He gets put through a lot of stuff over the events of each fandub, slowly becoming more neurotic and high-strung as his friendship with Sonic deteriorates.
  • Butt-Monkey: Deconstructed. It's clear that being Sonic's emotional punching bag has done a number on his mental health, and by the time of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity he's basically cut all ties with Sonic aside from occasionally antagonising him as Eggman's successor.
  • Demonic Possession: Carries the soul of Satan's dog in the aftermath of the Shadow the Hedgehog dub.
  • Nervous Wreck: He's a very neurotic boy, especially after Sonic inadvertently traumatizes him by telling him how he managed to fuck Eggman's crops.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Deconstructed: Despite being a genuinely good person who contributes a lot to the group, he feels underappreciated and ignored in the face of Sonic's selfishness and narcissism and Knuckles's absentminded tendencies, which results in a great deal of self-loathing.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He's become the new Eggman in the time between Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, but doesn't seem to actually do many evil things. Justified, since he isn't actually Eggman.

    Knuckles
"Don't touch me, harlot!"
Voiced by: Hayley Rose (from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Limits of Man to Sonic Riders and The Necessity of Change), Scout (Shadow the Hedgehog Goes to Hell onwards)
The guardian of the Master Emerald, and one of Sonic's friends. He's quite an oddball, and is usually high on weed.
  • Cop Hater: Shouts "One-Three-One-Two!" a common code-phrase for "All Cops Are Bastards", as he, Sonic and Tails escape guard robots during the Riders fandub.
  • Dented Iron: Starting in the Sonic Riders dub where he complains about how much stress hoverboarding puts on his body, Knuckles regularly complains about the stress of age and injuries on his body, and repeated blows to his head is implied to be part of what drives his eccentricites in those dubs.
  • Dumbass No More: In the five-year timeskip between Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, he's graduated from "barely coherent stoner" to merely being a Cloudcuckoolander.
  • Dumb Muscle: The Shadow The Hedgehog dub, on the other hand, firmly places him back into this area. For instance, what’s his response to the Devil's angry ranting?
Knuckles: "Iiiii'm Knuckleeees FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!"
  • Everyone Has Standards: He's a barely-coherent pothead most of the time, but even he is disgusted by Sonic's callous lack of respect towards him and his other friends.
  • Pokémon Speak: During one of the Sonic Heroes flashbacks, you can faintly hear him go "Knucklesknucklesknuckles".
  • Really 700 Years Old: He claims that he graduated from college in Nineteen-aught-Seven, which makes him over a hundred years old.
  • The Stoner: Many jokes are made about him being high on weed. In both Sonic Adventure 2 videos, his immediate instinct upon seeing Rouge give him the Master Emerald shards is to go "WEEEED!" with almost zombie-like inflection.

    Amy Rose
"I never learned how to reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaad!"
Voiced by: Hayley Rose (from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Limits of Man to Sonic Riders and The Necessity of Change)

  • Adaptational Dumbass: Never learnt how to read, likely because she was cut off from her mother when she was 6. Played with as of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, where she's gotten a college degree (in Abstract Thinking, a new major of her own creation) and is currently working on obtaining another.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She was disowned and kicked out of the house by her mother when she was 6 for being "far too obnoxious", and has been living on her own ever since.
  • Demoted to Extra: She doesn't even speak in the Shadow dub and no one even acknowledges her presence.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Considers herself a proud "veggie" (someone sexually attracted to crops and vegetables) after listening to Sonic explain to Tails how he fucked Eggman's crops.
  • Rags to Riches: Quickly went from a disowned kindergartner living on the streets to a wealthy property owner and "true owner of the world".
  • Really 700 Years Old: At the time of the Sonic Adventure 2 dub, Knuckles hadn't seen her since Nineteen-aught-Seven.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: She's become much more abrasive after returning from college and lacks the patience to deal with Sonic's antics that she once had, to the point where she outright refuses to call him her friend anymore.
Amy: I fucking hate all of you. I'm really glad that I grew past being your friend.
  • The Voiceless: She doesn't speak in the Shadow the Hedgehog dub. Oddly enough, she had a replacement voice actor in Sonic Destruction, Holly HollowTones, indicating that it isn't a simple issue of not having a voice actor yet. Mostly likely this can be attributed to Amy having almost no role in the game's cutscenes, making it hard to give her any roles to need her in.
  • Yandere: She threatens to kill Elise after finding out she's been dating Sonic.

    Dr. Eggman

The eternal archenemy of Sonic and his friends.

    Shadow
"I'm gonna pee in a Hot Topic, Maria. It will be mine, and I will own it."
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum
The one and only ultimate life form, who has strange obsessions with hot sauce and piss. In the Shadow the Hedgehog dub, he becomes the President of the United States as part of his many attempts to sin enough to usurp Satan as the ruler of Hell (most of which aren't actually sins).
  • Accidental Hero: On his first attempt of getting Sin Points for the Devil, he tries to kill the President. As it turns out, that wasn't very sinful due to how evil the Presidency is. Accordingly, he realigns his plan to instead become the President himself. He also struggles in sinning in general from this point onward, with his killing of Eggman ridding the world of a malevolent roboticist countering his taking of Robotnik's Sin Points. He even ends up destroying Hell at one point. One of the things he does to piss off and usurp the Devil is attempting to delete the blockchain that the U.S. presidential election ballots are logged on to sabotage cryptocurrency, which just ends up being such a good thing that Eggman sees it as an opportunity to take over Hell himself.
  • Accidental Misnaming: He rarely gets Mephiles' name right in the Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) dub.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Zigzags between this and Adaptational Villainy depending on the dub.
    • In the Sonic Adventure 2 dub, he goes out of his way to piss off Eggman over and over, but Team Dark isn't aiming to destroy the world this time, although Shadow isn't so much horrified at Eggman blowing up the moon as much as he is concerned about him and the fact that he did that after getting drunk.
    • In the Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 dub, he's much more malicious, and is implied to be the one who makes the rap song that destroys the world that Memphis pins on Sonic.
    • In the Shadow the Hedgehog dub, he's a lot less angry and aloof, partially due to keeping the same character as the previous dubs, while the original game made him more brutal than he had ever been up to that point. He goes with Satan's offer of sinning, although he either inadvertently does a lot of good things or simply commits crimes, which aren't necessarily sins, requiring Satan to push him towards actual sin. He keeps this evil intent throughout most of the dub, even in the cutscenes for the Hero Stories, only rejecting the Devil entirely in the Last Story.
  • Ambiguously Bi: He claims he's gay in the Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) dub, but he also had sex with Eggman's wife and mentions that he once got married to Rouge (though considering their dynamic, its possible that they're just in a Marriage of Convenience, or Rouge is acting as The Beard).
  • Epic Fail: Shadow the Hedgehog has a Running Gag of Shadow doing good things while trying to get Sin Points, or just fucking over the Devil to a degree where Satan has to reverse time (Or rather, make it seem like time is reversed). For instance, in his first attempt he killed the President, which is a fairly good thing to do as it turns out due to how corrupt the Presidency is, and he ends up destroying Hell in another attempt. Even worse, the Devil claims most things are sinful.
  • Gosh Darn It to Heck!: In stark contrast to the usual potty mouth common among the fandub cast and the original game’s rather gratuitous swearing, Shadow the Hedgehog has him wondering where "that frigging sixth Chaos Emerald" is as opposed to "that damn fourth Chaos Emerald".
  • Gun Nut: While he's barely shown using guns in cutscenes, beyond the intro to Shadow the Hedgehog, his first plan upon usurping the presidency/throne of Hell is to change it from "H-E-Double Hockey Stick" to "H-E-Double Gun."
  • Hell Has New Management: Ultimately plans to kill Satan in Shadow the Hedgehog (aka Real-Time Fandub Goes to Hell) and replace him as King/President of Hell.
  • Heroic Comedic Sociopath: The Real Time Fandub Iteration of Shadow is basically an unscrupulously Jerkass comedy protagonist that his bad deeds like banging Eggman's wife after Eggman heard Shadow's password and Shadow declines Eggman's offer then proceed to fuck Eggman's wife as one of his Establishing Character Moment.
  • I Banged Your Mom: Famously fucked Eggman's wife and pissed on her to achieve ownership of her in the Sonic Adventure 2 dub, which kickstarts Eggman's Sanity Slippage. Come Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), this takes on a disturbing new context when it's revealed that Eggman's wife was Shadow's mother (though not necessarily by blood, and the Shadow dub retcons him back to being Gerald's creation).
  • Kick the Dog: He literally murders Black Doom's dog just to be a dick.
  • Klingon Promotion: Shadow attempts to accrue Sin Points by killing Eggman under the pretense that he can steal Eggman’s Sin Points when he does so. All he accomplishes is putting an end to other evildoers’ sinful activities and destroying Hell. He also repeatedly makes known his desire to take over Hell from the Devil by usurping him, but Satan makes it clear that there is no way he’s letting Shadow get away with that if it were even possible to accomplish.
  • Minion with an F in Evil: Most of his attempts to earn Sin Points backfire in some way, first because his criminal activities are deemed morally good when done in opposition to the laws of a Type 2 Eagleland government, then because his attempts to usurp the Devil end up destroying Hell.
  • Noodle Incident: He apparently tricked the Devil once before. All he elaborates on is that it involved chess.
  • President Evil: Comes to believe that the fastest way to gain Sin Points in Shadow the Hedgehog is by becoming the President of the United States. Once he accomplishes this (due to every other candidate getting assassinated independently of him), he starts rewriting the Constitution to do things like legalize murder and give furries the right to vote. And all of this is in pursuit of his goal of becoming the President (or maybe King) of Hell.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Shadow seems to inflict this on the Big Bad of the given fandub that he's in, most famously responsible for Eggman's "Pissing on the moon" rant, he's also responsible for Memphis Tennessee's clone-fucking rant, and The Devilnote 's "Big fucking thing" rant.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: More like jerkass all over. Shadow is revealed to be a byproduct of Satan (Black Doom) to be created as his only friend.
  • Retcon: It's implied in the Sonic Adventure 2 dub and confirmed in the Sonic 06 dub that he was created by Eggman. Shadow the Hedgehog instead has him be created by Gerald, as in canon, which also removes some of the squick from his cuckolding.
  • Screw Yourself: An interest of Shadow's. Vape juice shapeshifter who's copied his form, robot duplicate with an extremely limited vocabulary, doesn't matter, Shadow's always down to fuck a doppelganger.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: No matter the context, he is constantly making jabs at Eggman any way he can.
  • The Starscream: He spends the entirety of the Shadow the Hedgehog dub trying to overthrow the Devil so he can rule over Hell.
  • Villain Protagonist: Of the Shadow the Hedgehog dub. He spends most of the dub teaming up with the Devil to commit sin in order to earn sin points and eventually usurp his position as ruler of hell. Downplayed in that he's really bad at being evil.

    Rouge
"I mean I guess that's fine, as long as I get my weed back I don't really care."
Voiced by: Blue Lennox (from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Limits of Man to Sonic Riders and The Necessity of Change), Holly HollowTones (from Shadow the Hedgehog: Real-Time Fandub Goes to Hell onwards)
A quirky stoner who'd rather spend her time smoking than accomplishing the task at hand. Despite that, she's one of the more down to earth members of the cast.
  • Adaptational Dumbass: She can't read the video diary in the Sonic Adventure 2 dub because she only knows how to read basic English, and doesn't know what earthquakes are in Sonic 06.
  • Characterization Marches On: For the first set of dubs, Rouge was a spaced out stoner who, some oddball moments aside, was the closest thing to an Only Sane Man. The Shadow the Hedgehog dub reimagines her as a quirky, fast-talking schemer with no references to kush at all.
  • Only Sane Man: When played by Blue, despite some occasional oddball moments, she was the closest cast member to be one. This is one of the few traits she kept when Holly took over the role of voicing her, serving as a voice of reality to Shadow and Omega's Cold Hams.
  • Poverty for Comedy: She claims in Shadow the Hedgehog that she steals money because she can't afford it.
  • The Stoner: To a slightly lesser extent than Knuckles, but still apparent. At the end of the Sonic Adventure 2 Final Story dub, she says that she'd love to get high with Knuckles behind a Denny's.

    Maria Robotnik
"I'm dying because I'm so surprised..."
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: Instead of being shot, she "dies from surprise" when she learns of Shadow's plan to rewrite the American Constitution.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Ejects Shadow out of the ARK because he let off a bad fart.
  • Good Is Not Nice: She's a rather rude and petty teenager on occasion, and is very blunt about the second-class citizen status of furries, but she is still genuinely goodhearted.
  • Humanity Is Infectious: Her presence inadvertently resulted in Shadow (who was created to be the Devil's best friend and right hand man) to become a better person and unravel Satan's plans.

    Gerald Robotnik
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman (In Sonic Adventure 2 and the Limits of Man), Dyvone (In Shadow the Hedgehog: Real-Time Fandub Goes to Hell)
The father of Dr. Eggman and the creator of Shadow.
  • Big Bad: He summons the Biolizard to destroy humanity as revenge for Shadow and Rouge leaking Eggman's nudes, becoming the final villain of the SA2 dub.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: For leaking his son's nudes on Twitter.com, he summons the Biolizard to crash the ARK into Earth.
  • Posthumous Character: Implied, as he's never seen in the present outside of video recordings.
  • Related Differently in the Adaptation: Here, Gerald is Eggman's father as opposed to his grandfather.
  • Troll: Shadow's entire existence was one big prank at Satan's expense, tricking the Devil into thinking that he was going to be his friend when he personally intended for Shadow to prank him.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: He traumatized Commander Tower as a child, somehow, while talking to the Devil about Shadow. Speaking of, leading the Devil on to thinking that Shadow was his friend lead to Satan summoning a demonic invasion to try and help Shadow get his Sin Points up to get him down in Hell.

    The President
"Sonic and Shadow would've answered the call. They would've been here to kill me immediately."
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

The current President of the United States and Sonic's former lover.

  • Ascended Extra: After only making a brief appearance in the Hero Story of Sonic Adventure 2 and The Limits of Man, he returns in Real-Time Fandub Goes to Hell as a supporting character.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Makes a brief appearance in the Hero Side of Sonic Adventure 2 and The Limits of Man.
  • Fanboy: Of Ace Attorney, to the point that he cosplays as Phoenix Wright around the clock.
  • Go Mad from the Isolation: He's introduced in the Shadow Dub desperate to contact anyone from outside the Oval Office and getting no answers. He claims he's resorted to eating the drywall for the past three years to survive. Once Commander Tower rescues him, he starts to calm down.
  • Made of Iron: Survives being at the epicenter of an Eclipse Cannon strike, a blast that reduced the entire White House and the surrounding city blocks to dust on impact, thanks to the supple concrete shoulders of his Phoenix Wright cosplay.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: By the time his three years trapped in the Oval Office incommunicado with the outside world end, the President has come to wish everyone would die, himself most of all.
  • President Evil: To the point that Satan believes that Shadow killing him would guarantee a place in Heaven, though it's stated that it's the Presidency itself that's evil and we never see this specific President do anything malevolent.

    Big the Cat
"AAAAHINEEDTOGOCHECKMYDICK-"
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman
A large purple cat who somehow ends up in space at the same time as Sonic and the gang.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Zig-zagged; though he isn't shown being much smarter than his game counterpart, he's somewhat more verbose, and though he's just as much a Cloud Cuckoo Lander as he is in the games, if not more, it's less pronounced in his case as opposed to every other character.
  • Ascended Extra: In the game, Big doesn't have any lines, and his cameos are never acknowledged by any of the other characters. Here, he actually has a speaking role, and the other characters do respond to his antics.
  • Funny Background Event: Retains this role from the original version of the game, though here he only makes four appearances: being arrested and carried in the same helicopter Sonic escapes from, jacking off while Knuckles and Rouge talk and running around yelling as Amy and Shadow have a personal moment.
  • Fun with Subtitles: The subtitles for his lines as he run past Rouge and Amy simply read "big the cat" and "BIG THE CAT".
  • Motor Mouth: Shouts unintelligibly as he runs past Rouge and Amy.
  • Noodle Incident: For some unexplained reason GUN has arrested him and is bringing him into their custody on the same helicopter as Sonic.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: It's unclear what becomes of him after the events of the dub.

    Martha Robotnik
Dr. Eggman's wife, who's willing to have sex with anyone but him.

Introduced in Sonic 06

    Silver
"I'm always sad! That's just my thing!"
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk
A telekinetic twink from a bleak future. Struggles with insomnia and depression.
  • Adaptational Heroism: He has a good reason for why he attacks Sonic and Shadow, namely that they might be responsible for making a Fortnite mixtape so lit it literally sets the entire world on fire.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Played for Laughs. This version of Silver isn't as strong or confident as his canon counterpart as he suffers from insomnia and depression, moans in pain whenever he's attacked, and struggles to carry an 11-year-old Elise.
  • Butt-Monkey: Was mistaken for a pervert when he touched Amy, gets called a beta male by Memphis Tennessee for not being a gamer, got kicked in the back of the head by Shadow, gets insulted by Sonic, and in general is considered The Friend Nobody Likes. He finally did something right when he passed on the legacy of Blaze the Cat after the latter sacrificed her life for him, and even then her last words consisted of her rubbing it in that Silver is "still [her] bitch".
  • Damned by Faint Praise: Blaze's final words to Silver before sacrificing herself are to tell him that she's almost proud of him. Silver however takes this as a great compliment.
Silver: (happy gasp) That's the most proud of me you've ever been!
  • The Eeyore: Spends most of the dub being depressed and often complains about himself.

    Blaze
"That's okay baby, I know you're lost without me. Be sure never to leave my side again, okay?"
Voiced by: Penny Parker
A megalomaniacal mean girl who's the closest thing Silver has to a friend.
  • Insufferable Genius: Thinks she's hot shit, and won't hesitate to let Silver know.
  • So Proud of You: Downplayed. She says she's almost proud of Silver during her Heroic Sacrifice, though Silver still considers it the most proud she's ever been of him.

    Omega
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman (In Sonic the Hedgehog and the Growth of an Industry), Dyvone (In Shadow the Hedgehog: Real-Time Fandub Goes To Hell)
Shadow and Rouge's robot buddy. He's got an obsession with Shadow, and really loves cannabis.

    Elise of Soleanna
"I need a hug!"
Voiced by: Shelby Sessler
The loopy, affable, and alarmingly pale Princess of Soleanna.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: She wasn't horrible in the original game, but she's much less stoic and more lighthearted here.
  • Cuckoosnarker: Despite her astounding lack of a survival instinct or even basic world knowledge, she seems totally aware of the absurdity of the situations she keeps finding herself in.
Eggman: How many times are you gonna run?! I've captured you 17 different times!
Elise: I feel like it's gonna be at least 18.
    (Beat)
Eggman: The Caucasity of this bitch...
  • Damsel in Distress: To the point that even Eggman loses track of how many times he's captured her.
  • Defiant Captive: Makes her complete disinterest in any of Eggman's plans for her abundantly clear, and jumps from the Eggmobile when Eggman threatens to push her off if she won't submit.
  • Extreme Omnivore: She describes eating rocks as her "go-to" strategy when in danger, and insists they're quite good. She also considers eating grass before Sonic stops her with the offer of an additive-free hot dog.
  • Interspecies Romance: Had one with Sonic before he came out as gay to her, and got together with Amy briefly before the Cosmic Retcon.
  • Morality Pet: Really the only person Sonic's nice to pre-Character Development.
  • Neat Freak: One of her biggest concerns after being kidnapped by Eggman is how long it's been since she washed her hands.
  • Nice Girl: Never has a harsh word for anyone, even her repeated kidnapper Eggman.
  • Only Sane Man: Perhaps the only character completely uninterested in creating the ultimate Battle Royale game, to the point where she completely tunes out Eggman whenever he begins ranting about it.
  • Sanity Slippage: The stress of being repeatedly kidnapped and spending a long time eating nothing but rocks clearly begins to take its toll on her as the story progresses.
Elise: Okay, I have no idea what the words you just said mean, but I'm glad we're outside. It's been like, a week. I've lost track of time? I'm... not sure if I'm a person.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: She doesn't hesitate to tell Sonic how little she enjoyed running with him, immediately after he rescued her from Eggman.
  • Your Answer to Everything: No matter the danger she may be in, whenever she gets stressed, she completely zones out and pictures the ocean. She also defaults to eating rocks whenever food is scarce.

    The Duke of Soleanna
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman
Elise's father, who tampered with yellow and purple to get power for playing Fortnite.

    Iblis/The Grand Slam
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Iblis was one of the main antagonists of the game and the main villain of Silver's story. In the dub however he's completely retconned out of the story, instead turning into a generic monster that Silver and Blaze fight. He doesn't even get a name drop.
  • Just Eat Him: Blaze and Silver ate him just after his introduction.
  • Out of Focus: Unlike Mephiles/Memphis Tennessee, he doesn't have any personality or role beyond being a Generic Doomsday Villain implied to be the side effect of Shadow's rap song, giving Memphis Tennessee the spotlight in the process.
  • Our Demons Are Different: According to Eggman, Iblis/The Grand Slam is the demon inside Princess Elise which needed to be contained inside her by gaming.
  • Suddenly Voiced: At one time when Silver and Blaze confront The Grand Slam.

    Mephiles the Dark/Memphis Tennessee
"You see, I had to trap Sonic in the Hell Dimension 'cause he disrespected gamers."
Voiced by: Scout
A self-described "alpha male gamer" and aspiring indie game developer.

Introduced in Sonic Riders

    The Babylon Rogues
A group of thieves based in a Cool Airship. As opposed to Sonic and co.'s bickering and strange disputes, the Babylon Rogues are a close-knit polycule who support each other's lifestyles and endeavors.

As a group

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: They're all-around much better people here than in canon, being a trio of True Companions who highly value their bond and make sure to look out for each other's wellbeings (such as Wave reminding Storm to eat lunch, or Jet feeling guilty for making Wave miss her dentist appointment and forcing her to reschedule).
  • Good Counterpart: They're arguably this to the main Power Trio of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles due to actually caring about each other's feelings more often than not.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: They're only seen stealing once, and that's because Eggman spurred them into doing it by overwriting the save data on Jet's GameCube 2. Left to their own devices, they seem to prefer just lounging around, skateboarding, watching movies, sharing their opinions on Tomorrowland, and doing hobby projects like making short films and video games.
  • Polyamory: The three are in a polycule according to Storm, and Rouge was once part of it until they learned she could only name two of The Beatles.

Jet

"That was an illegal left, by the way!"
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte

A skateboarding hawk and the leader of the Babylon Rogues.

  • What the Hell, Hero?: He delivers a simple but powerful verbal beatdown to Sonic in the World of Thematic Resolution, which prompts Sonic to have a Jerkass Realization and go to apologize to Tails and Knuckles.
Sonic: Jet, do you think I've been a dick to everybody? I need you to answer me, buddy! [...] Please, deep down, just tell me I'm a good person.
Jet: Bitch... You have been... so fucking rude... to everyone. All the time.
Sonic: I have to go say I'm sorry. Right now.

Wave

"Do you know how hard it is to find dentist when you have BEAK!?"
Voiced by: Red van Buskirk

A member of the Babylon Rogues and Tails' therapist.

Storm

"Why is it that every time I come into this room I'm scared?!"
Voiced by: Scout

The Babylon Rogues' muscle, a timid everyman with a love of film.

  • Adaptational Intelligence: He's of fairly decent (though in no way a genius) intellect, as opposed to primarily being a Dumb Muscle in the originals.
  • And I Must Scream: Downplayed: In the World of Thematic Resolution he can't move, but can still speak. It doesn't make it any less horrifying for him.
  • Death Seeker: He asks to be killed by Hatsune Miku when they meet in the World of Thematic Resolution.
  • Heroic BSoD: He's traumatized by what he has to endure in the World of Thematic Resolution, and it's implied that this isn't the first traumatic experience he's had to go through. He even becomes a Death Seeker.
  • Skewed Priorities: Spends the majority of the Sonic Riders part of the dub trying to return an overdue copy of Grown Ups 2 to Redbox.

    Realm of Thematic Resolution Denizen

Hatsune Miku

"Hmm... you're gonna have to beg a little bit harder than that, motherfucker!"
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum
One of the inhabitants of the Realm of Thematic Resolution / Astral Babylon.
  • Adaptational Badass: This Miku is far from harmless, wielding a shotgun and later an uzi and having enough confidence in her skill with it to try and take on a Strider.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: A heroic example, inexplicably showing up to help the gang escape the Realm of Thematic Resolution.
  • Uncertain Doom: It's ultimately left unclear if she actually died to the Strider.

Introduced in Shadow the Hedgehog

    Team Chaotix
Voiced by: Mar Katoto (Vector the Crocodile), Penny Parker (Espio the Chameleon), Holly Hollowtunes (Charmy Bee)

  • Digital Piracy Is Okay: The three of them are trying to steal NPDs (which are electoral votes uploaded onto a digital blockchain, a clear parody of NFTs) and Vector commends Shadow for right-click saving them, calling him a "Right-Click Hero."
  • Only Sane Man: Espio seems to be the only person that understands what the Devil is doing with the timestream, and is generally one of the few characters with his head on straight. At least until it's revealed The Devil never reset any timelines, he was just gaslighting Shadow, so who knows what's up with him.
Espio, to Eggman: I don't know what the fuck is going on anymore, all I know is that there is no way you deserve to rule Hell, man...
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Charmy claims that he'll die tomorrow, and that being able to rig an election will let him die happy. However, it is immediately pointed out that Charmy is saying this despite being in a flashback that's two years in the past while he is alive and well in present day.

    Black Doom/The Devil
"Shadow! It's me, the Devil! I'm here to convince you to do sin!"
Voiced by: Scout

The incumbent King (or maybe President) of Hell, as seen in The Bible. He has a creepily obsessive relationship with Shadow, who he desperately wants to sin more.

  • Adaptational Badass: Neither The Devil nor Black Doom (without the Chaos Emeralds, at least.) had control over time in their source materials.
  • Adaptational Name Change: From Black Doom to Satan. Yes, Actual Satan. From The Bible. There's a scene where Ryan quite blatantly gives Scout a chance to use the Black Doom name, only for Scout to double down and go hard into this interpretation.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: While he's the Devil (from the Bible), unlike his utterly vile canon counterpart who wants to annihilate humanity, he's actual quite affable and his grand scheme amounts to forcing Shadow to be friends with him.
  • Adaptational Species Change: He's been changed from an alien to a Fallen Angel, and even expresses shock at seeing an actual alien.
  • Adaptation Deviation: His entire character has been changed from a malevolent alien conqueror who is seeking the Chaos Emeralds and Shadow's return to his side to a chummy spin on Lucifer whose entire motivation is to get Shadow, who he obsessively believes is his friend, working as a middle manager in Hell.
  • Affably Evil: He's fairly cordial at times, casually greeting Sonic in a friendly manner, and he admits to having enjoyed going to Chuck E. Cheese with Shadow.
  • Big Bad: Of Shadow The Hedgehog Goes To Hell. He is the primary instigator for the primary conflict of the dub, being Shadow's main obstacle he needs to take out in order to become the new king of Hell.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Shadow at least thinks so, considering that his standards for what qualifies as sinful are defined by incomprehensibly fucked logic. First the crimes and murders Shadow commits are considered good because they break the laws of a corrupt government and kill evildoers. Then his attempt to commit sexual deviancy via adultery and fucking his clones are only considered sins by the ideology of Christianity which he doesn’t necessarily agree with (despite repeatedly emphasizing that he’s the Devil from the Bible). The only definitive examples given for what he considers sinful are stealing candy from babies, robbing small businesses, and getting an internship at Disney. Near the end, he expresses displeasure with the fact that humans sin and calls himself the good guy because he tortures sinners in Hell, even though he spent the whole story convincing Shadow to sin.
  • Complete Immortality: Though Immortality Hurts is also in effect, he ultimately can't be killed because he's, well, the Devil.
  • Composite Character: Combines the appearance and antagonistic role of Black Doom from Shadow the Hedgehog with the name and a very rough approximation of the sin-based role and motivation of the devil from The Bible.
  • Decomposite Character: Devil Doom isn't the Devil's final form. But rather, it's his dog, who Shadow proceeds to kill in order to emotionally hurt the Devil as brutally as possible.
  • The Devil Is a Loser: The reason he's so obsessed with Shadow? He commissioned Gerald to create him to be his best friend, and he's been in an unhealthy parasocial relationship with Shadow throughout the latter's whole streaming career.
  • Devil's Job Offer: There's a management opening in Hell that he really wants Shadow to sign up for.
  • Did We Just Have Tea with Cthulhu?: He's the actual, literal Devil (as in, the one from The Bible) who at one point goes to Chuck. E. Cheese with Shadow. He greatly enjoyed the experience.
  • Double Take: On at least two occasions, he gets completely surprised whenever the camera reveals something he wasn't aware of.
"There's a lot of sin in this world, I'm sure — *an alien flies by* is — is that an alien?"
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Of the Sonic Adverture 2 dub duology, as it's revealed that Shadow was created by Gerald Robotnik to be his friend. Spoilers Shadow has been attempting to become king of Hell before the events of the dubs, but due to the Devil's extreme hypocrisy and double-standards, he just couldn't get there. Then, Shadow comes up with a new sin idea, adultery. One thing leads to another and then suddenly, Eggman's pissing on the moon!
  • His Name Really Is "Barkeep": When Shadow asks what his real name is, he asserts that he's just "the Devil".
  • I Have Many Names: He is occasionally called Satan by the other characters, and is credited as Actual Satan in the trailer for Real-Time Fandub Goes To Hell. Shadow at one point asks if his name might be Lucifer (or Lucy for short), though by that point he is too brain-damaged to respond. The only time anyone uses his canon name of Black Doom is when Gerald addresses him during a prerecorded message.
  • Insane Troll Logic: His Minion with an F in Evil status aside, the main reason Shadow is so bad at collecting Sin Points is because the Devil's definition of what does and doesn't count as sin is utterly incomprehensible. All his sin ideas are Poke the Poodle-tier crimes such as stealing candy and pissing on graves. He considers all acts of violence against the US government to be morally justified and states that killing the President (and Sonic) practically guarantees Shadow a throne in Heaven next to God, yet he paradoxically doesn't consider the idea of Shadow becoming President a sin since he'd be "too good at it", and when Shadow points out that that should be a good thing for him since being the President is objectively evil, the Devil just sort of shrugs him off. He also doesn't consider adultery a sin, dismissing it as an outdated Christian ideal despite the fact that he loves to remind Shadow that he's the Devil from the Bible. Then again, it's entirely possible that he's invokeddeliberately bullshitting the rules so that he has an excuse to keep spending time with Shadow.
Shadow: Your standards are so fucked!
  • Insistent Terminology: He often reminds other that he's not just the Devil, but the one from The Bible.
  • Irony: He's quite interested in aliens and gets blindsided by one flying by at one point, when he was the leader of said aliens and a part of their race in the original game.
  • Loony Fan: Is this towards Shadow, to the point he believes that Shadow outright owes him attention and friendship for how long he has been supporting him through his Twitch career all the way up to becoming President.
  • Manchild: Even leaving aside his scheme throughout Shadow the Hedgehog being about endearing his custom made best friend to him, he had the time of his life when Shadow took him to Chuck E. Cheese and got him a toy paratrooper.
  • Medium Awareness: He is aware that Eggman is a character from the Sonic series, which throws Shadow for a loop. He also directly mentions to Shadow that "when I enact my evil whims on you, however many cutscenes from now that is, you're gonna regret those words!"
  • Mood-Swinger: As he undergoes his Villainous Breakdown, he starts wildly swerving from laid-back and affable, to violent and furious, to pathetic whimpering, often within the same minute. It only further demonstrates how much of a manchild he really is.
  • Pals with Jesus: When Shadow proves too virtuous by killing the Heavy Dog, he suggests that he'd get along better with his friend Jeezy C. Given how he also insists Shadow is his best friend, he may be an Unreliable Narrator here.
  • Rage Breaking Point: In the Final Story, he starts to break down with all of the mortals who plan on usurping him. Worst of all is Shadow, who Gerald made to be the Devil's friend (though it's later revealed he didn't make Shadow Satan's friend as a prank), but later ended up being made a less sinful person by Maria.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Though he was an alien in the original source material, his red and black color scheme fits right in with many modern depictions of the Devil.
  • Running Gag: Him constantly reminding Shadow and friends that yes, he is the Devil from the Bible.
  • Satan: He constantly reminds people that he is the actual, literal Devil, from the Bible. When Shadow asks him about his real name (presumably to give Scout a chance to pivot back to being Black Doom), he instead doubles down on it and chastises Shadow for not knowing who he is.
  • Southies: Has a pronounced Boston accent, treats being King/President of Hell as a blue collar job that needs to be done but no one wants to do, and is prone to slinging verbal abuse around when he loses his temper.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After Shadow kills his dog, he simply goes back to Hell.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Since Devil Doom in the dub is not Satan himself but his dog, and due to his Complete Immortality, the Devil survives the dub. This is unlike Black Doom in the original game, who has a Disney Villain Death after Shadow defeats him.
  • Time Master: Instead of freezing their nerves, the Devil has the power to simply freeze people in time. Where do ya think Shadow got it from? Unfortunately, he can't freeze their vocal chords, for some reason. He also claims to be able to reset the timeline, although it's later revealed that he was gaslighting Shadow and in actuality Shadow's just really bad at killing people. He does seem to have awareness of alternate timelines, though, briefly snarking at Sonic about his having kissed Elise in the previous Sonic (2006) dub, even though that unhappened due to time travel.
  • Villainous Breakdown: At the start of Final Story, he flips his lid entirely and summons down the Black Meteor and lashing its tendrils to the world.
The Devil: It's really cute that you're going to [mockingly] defeat me with the power of friendship and all, but again, I am the Devil from the Bible, so I don't know how well that's gonna work out—
Shadow: You motherfucker! You didn't let me finish!
    The Devil: Uh-huh. Go ahead.
Shadow: I have all this power in my hands—
The Devil: [interrupting with mocking noises] Shut up— shut up— shut the fuck up. I'm the De— I don't care, I do not care! You don't understand; I came down here as a joke to have fun! This is not— this— that means nothing to me! This means NOTHING to me, alright?! You mean NOTHING to me! You and your little friends are fucking annoying! This is why I stay down in Hell! This is why I punish sinners! I'm the good guy! Do you realize? I am the good guy here! I am the winner of... of everything! God goes up and He plays with His little friends like [mockingly] "Oh, look, he donated to charity!" Oh yeah, whatever, fuckin', [mocking noises]!
    Shadow: Augh!
The Devil: I get to kill people! I get to poke people with hot st— ...STICKS! All day! It's great! [takes the Chaos Emeralds] Gimme those! You don't get those! You've lost your stupid little privileges! Fuck you, dipshit! [performs Chaos Control] Go to space! [summons Black Meteor to Earth] Look! I can do this! I can do this, anytime I want! This is nothing to me! You're NOTHING to me! I hate you! I HATE YOU! This is my big fucking thing!
Sonic: Oh, my God, he's fucking losing it entirely!
  • Wrong Line of Work: Has said himself he doesn't like his job of ruling over Hell and making people sin because he doesn't like it when people are mean. Shadow even questions why he's ruling Hell if he doesn't like it when people sin.

    Devil Doom/The Devil's Dog
"I'M THE DOG, HEY WHAT'S UP?!"
Voiced by: Mar Katoto
Satan's pet dog, and the Final Boss Shadow faces.

    Black Bull
"I'M THE CHARITY MAN."
Voiced by: Mar Katoto
A monstrous creature of some kind who donates to charities. Satan summons him from Heaven so Shadow can murder him.
  • Adaptational Heroism: In the original game, the Black Bull is a villainous alien beast summoned by Black Doom to "Burn this entire city and its inhabitants to ash!" In the dub, he donates to charities and was good enough to get into heaven.
  • Face of a Thug: An enormous, spiky, bat-winged, cycloptic monster who is a philanthropist and was in Heaven before entering the story.
  • Revenant Zombie: He is brought back to life from Heaven by the Devil with his mental faculties and physical form both intact.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He is summoned into the plot by the Devil only to be immediately killed by Sonic and Shadow.

    The Black Arms/The Aliens
An army of aliens Shadow somehow secured the loyalty of.

    Commander Tower
"I wanna see subs, I wanna see donations, I wanna see those little bit things, make 'em rain!"
Voiced by: Dyvone

    GUN Soldiers
"Hi guys! I'm here, too. You're the President! That's so cool! I'm like your biggest fan! I like your cosplays, I subscribed to your OnlyFans!"
Voiced By: Mar Katoto and Scout

Sly Cooper characters

    Sly Cooper

"I was here."
Voiced by: Hayley Rose

  • Adaptational Jerkass: Sly was always a bit pompous, but the level of not-caring towards his allies is completely over the top.
  • Anti-Hero: Sly kills practically every opponent he comes across and has no qualms about just murdering people when they're down. In fairness, a few of them actively ask for it.
  • The Chessmaster: After defeating The Truth, Sly reveals he enacted a plan that involved blowing up Bentley and forcing him to drive off a cliff, and for Murray he had him recreate The Truth and chat with random Korean people while reading maps.
  • Death Seeker: Which is why Sly picked up the smoking habit of his cowboy ancestor, "Tennessee Kid" Cooper, who himself died as a result of his smoking habit.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Is rather rude to most of the characters. He outright asks Carmelita for sex when they first meet, shoots Murray, and then proceeds to murder every member of the Fiendish Five, including The Truth, who didn't appear to do anything to him.

    Bentley
"Sly?! Can you hear me?! Sly! SLYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Disproportionate Retribution: Despite Bentley doing little beyond mocking Sly, Sly claims Bentley betrayed him and thus blows him up and forces him to drive off a cliff (in that order).
  • Identity Amnesia: Bentley forgets he isn't Murray at one point after their Steve Urkeling and even forgets his own name. Murray's insidious response implies he's behind it.

    Murray
"I just really like food! Please help me!"
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

  • Big Bad Friend: He doesn't start off that way, but becomes it by the time Chapter 4 hits.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: After being shot by Sly, he basically torments him into attacking people and both attacks Bentley and Carmelita who did nothing wrong except interact with Sly.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Halfway through the dub after being shot by Sly, he suddenly becomes a villain and bodyswaps with Bentley. He then tries to get Sly to kill various people.
  • Offstage Villainy: Murray beats Bentley, Steve Urkels with him, makes Carmelita disappear, and also sets up the convoluted battle between Sly and The Truth.
  • Start of Darkness: After Sly shoots him with a gun, he turns evil and is revealed to be behind Bird Capitalism.
  • You All Share My Story: Murray was not only the mastermind behind Bird Capitalism and trapped Carmelita in a dance ray, but is also Sly's second cousin. We never learn who their parents or great-grandparents are, but apparently Sly's grandmother Carmelita is both George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt, and Murray's grandmother is George Washington's lesbian lover Benjamin Franklin. This also apparently makes them blood relatives, and this means Murray incited The Truth to kill Sly's father and set the story in motion despite him being a toddler when the plot began.

    Carmelita Fox
"Everything's a conspiracy. Haven't you ever seen the government?"
Voiced by: Sammi Doneff

  • Capitalism Is Bad: How Carmelita views the government
  • Conspiracy Theorist: Towards the end of the dub, she reveals that she believes everything is a huge conspiracy with the government (in particular Bird Capitalism).
  • Expansion Pack Past: Carmelita is apparently Sly's grandmother, and is also Theodore Roosevelt. This also reveals to him that his other grandmother (or perhaps just Carmelita again) is George Washington. This prompts Murray to reveal his grandmother is George Washington's lesbian lover Benjamin Franklin, meaning Carmelita is two separate historical men who lived over a century apart and is also an ancestor of both Sly and Murray.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: When trying to make a reference to Hamilton, she reveals she is actually Sly's grandmother.

    Clockwerk/The Truth
"Because the Truth... is lava-proof!"
Voiced by: Ella Cesari

  • The Reveal:
    Clockwerk divebombs the lava
    Sly: I killed him!
Murray: Yes, but you haven't killed the truth.
Clockwerk rises out of the lava
Sly: Oh my god The Truth! It's The Truth I knew it! What's going on?
The Truth: That's right Sly Cooper. I was The Truth all along!
  • Zany Scheme: The Truth instigated the lesbian relationship between Benjamin Franklin and George Washington and covered it up, and also Steve Urkeled Murray and Bentley.

Spider-Man (PS4) characters

    Peter Parker/Spider-Man
"Don't do this to me, MJ..."
Voiced by: Penny Parker
The iconic superhero and butt of his Aunt May's wacky pranks.
  • Berserk Button: He gets angered by ChalkZone because it apparently killed his parents (according to Dr. Michaels).

    Miles Morales/Spider-Man
"I'm gonna go eat twenty chiclets, and I'm gonna eat twenty-one just for you, Spider-Man."
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman
One of Peter's only friends and the future star of the next Spider-Man movie.

    Aunt May
"I'll throw you in my fuckin' pussy and unbirth ya, bitch!"
Voiced by: Hayley Rose
Peter's aunt, a famous influencer who gained notoriety mostly at his expense.
  • The Alcoholic: She's frequently drunk throughout the dub and, by her own admission, struggles with alcoholism.
  • Cool Old Lady: She's a YouTube and Vine e-celeb and manages operations at F.E.A.S.T. on the side.
  • The Prankster: The architect of many a "social experiment".

    Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
"You're gonna die, Spider-Man! You're gonna FUCKING DIE! I TRIED TO SAVE YOU! YOU IDIOT!"
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

    Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
"But, Peter... everyone tells me to do bad things. Even my hair...!"
Voiced by: Ella Cesari
A leading researcher in the promising field of evil robot arms. Isn't himself evil yet, as of the start of the dub.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He still lives with his mother and wants to wear his Laser Tag gear all day, but evil thoughts pop up in his mind constantly, he creates brain-damaging evil robot arms out of boredom, and he unleashes Norman Osborn's table transformation breath upon New York as a prank.

    Martin Li/Mr. Negative
"Hey, can I ask you a quick personal question?"
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum
To the public, he's a wealthy philanthropist. To his masked followers, he's a dangerous wielder of negative energy. To people who deal with him personally, he's someone who really wants them to answer a personal question.
  • Running Gag: When he tries to ask Peter his personal question, he gets interrupted before he can do so.
  • The Unreveal: He attempts to drop a shocking revelation about Spider-Man's powers, but his explanation is lost as Ryan's connection fails.

    Norman Osborn
"Here's good life advice, Peter: steal money, it's for your own good."
Voiced by: Miles Kitts
A famous business bureaucrat who became the Mayor of New York City. His hair is totally real.

Resident Evil 2 characters

    Leon S. Kennedy
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

  • Adaptational Dumbass: Leon can't read, doesn't recognize a little girl who is turning into a zombie, rips a piece of metal out of Sexual Inclinations' thigh without proper treatment, and thinks that being a cop means he can do anything without it being illegal.
  • Adaptational Gender Identity: They’re experimenting with non-binary pronouns by the end of the dub.

    Claire Redfield
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Parental Substitute: To Childlike Innocence, and does a much better job at it than her actual mom. Which is ironic, since she is supposed to be FloppyFeet's sense of responsibility.

    Marvin Branargh/FloppyFeet
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Adaptational Gender Identity: Implied. The personification of his libido and sexual inclinations is a woman who believes, based on her own existence, that he's a repressed trans woman.
  • Ascended Extra: Who would have guessed that some random cop that gets offed just barely out of the game's introduction would become the center of the entire story?
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He only has a few minutes of screentime, but his mindscape plays a big part of the dub.

    Sherry Birkin/FloppyFeet's Childlike Innocence
Voiced by: Blue Lennox

  • Become a Real Boy: As the personification of FloppyFeet's childlike innocence, she's unsure if she's able to exist outside of FloppyFeet's mind. However, since childlike innocence is a universal construct, she gets to be a real girl at the end.
  • Happily Adopted: To Leon and Claire at the end, who she proudly calls her two new moms.
  • Innocent Swearing: Subverted. She uses a few swear words in the dub and the audience is left to assume that she doesn't know they're swears, but she reveals at the end that she does, which Leon thinks clashes with her being the personification of childlike innocence.

    Ada Wong/FloppyFeet's Sexual Inclinations/FloppyFeet's Libido
Voiced by: Hayley Rose

  • Bizarre Human Biology: The Libido has "girl sacs" that produce "girl juice", a serum in her saliva that allows her to force femme men. Possibly explainable by her being the Anthropomorphic Personification of an aspect of FloppyFeet's psyche and not a human per se.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: An affable woman who's inordinately fond of force femming men and casually experiences orgasms that can be mistaken for earthquakes.
  • Offscreen Inertia: She exits the plot by falling down a seemingly bottomless pit... and occasionally chimes in afterwards to let everyone know that she's still falling down that pit.

    Annette Birkin/FloppyFeet's Sense of Responsibility
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk

    Chief Irons/FloppyFeet's Bad Thoughts
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Asshole Victim: He's killed by FloppyFeet's Chaos (Lunchables) after he fills the leftovers in a stomach and then he groans in pain as the Lunchables parasite bursts from his chest.
  • Bad Santa: Judging from Childlike Innocence's comments about his pursuit of her's resemblance to it, he's modeled after a nightmare FloppyFeet had of being chased by an evil Santa.
  • Emotion Eater: He's a negativity-based emotional vampire who drains sources of positivity in FloppyFeet's mindscape to death and displays their corpses as trophies in his "secret room of positivity". His pursuit of Childlike Innocence rapidly takes on disturbing undertones given that the strongest remaining source of positivity in the mindscape is a literal child. Thanks to Alfred's Cold Ham, Black Comedy Ensues.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Compared to the Laughably Evil Mr. X and the professional scenery chewer that is William Birkin, Irons has absolutely no comedic quirks to his character (aside from one throwaway joke about AppleBee’s) and is taken dead seriously. The scene where he kidnaps Childlike Innocence is a notable example, with it being a Surprisingly Creepy Moment for a usually comedic dub in an already comedy-focused series.

    Agent GHOST/Arnold
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk

    William Birkin/The Lunchables/FloppyFeet's Chaos
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Eye Scream: He gets attacked in his eyes multiple times and complains about not having his eye drops.
  • See You in Hell: His last words as he dies in the collapsing mindscape are "I'll see you all in a burning hell!"
  • Word-Salad Horror: Due to being an embodiment of inner Chaos, most of what he says only makes sense within very specific contexts that he's psychologically checked-out of.
    Birkin: I'M MADE OF LEFTOVERS

    Mr. X
"Hey! I heard someone's got some overdue books at the library... and I intend to collect!"
Voiced by: Scout

  • Adaptational Dumbass: Mr. X in canon is a cunning, intelligent stalker who puts his sheer strength to good use. Here, he has no idea where Claire goes if she simply closes a door on him.
  • No Object Permanence: He's unable to detect Claire behind a door, which she uses to mess with him by popping out of the door when he tries to leave and hiding behind it when he comes over.
  • One-Winged Angel: Turns into his final form, Omega Librarian, during his final fight with Leon.
  • Politically Correct Villain: He may be trying to kill the characters for having overdue library books, but he still tries to refer to Leon by his preferred pronouns after his force-femming.
  • Scary Librarian: He pursues the characters because they have overdue books at the library and tries to murder them for not bringing them back.

Until Dawn characters

    Samantha Giddings
Voiced by: Sophie Armstrong

  • Anti-Nihilist: Unlike Josh and Mike she remains unfazed by the fourth wall breaks and chooses to press on.
  • Scolding the Fourth-Wall Breaker: Even after she develops fourth-wall awareness, she insists on sticking to the fictional narrative and gets frustrated that Mike and Josh don't do the same.
Sam: I have to put this reality back together, Chase. All right, like, listen, I get it, you get it. "Oh, we're doing a funny fandub." If I don't fix this, everything falls apart.

    Emily Davis
Voiced by: Dollip Daze

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In the game, she's a self-centred, vindicative jerk with few redeeming qualities. While she's just as mean at the start of the dub, she lightens up considerably after surviving the mines.
  • The Pollyanna: After escaping the mines, she's so glad to be alive that she becomes incredibly positive about everything.

    Ashley Brown
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk

  • Only Sane Woman: In the Real Time Fandub Games adaptation, Ashley is forced to be deal with her friends' stupidest problems she ever faced. Unfortunately, she spends time in her scene along with a Kinect obsessed Chris. To top it off, she's invited to the field trip to Rude Mountain because she's the only person who can read.

    Jessica Riley
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Troll: Her attitude while she was with Mike.

    Christopher Hartley
Voiced by: Mar Katoto

  • Sadistic Choice: He had to make decision of embracing the rude vibes by shooting Ashley or himself during Sigjaw's Game which he struggles to.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: He had many problems involving the cabin doors.

    Joshua Washington
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

    Michael Munroe/Mikeiplier/Markiplier
"Hello, everybody, my name is Mikeiplier, and today, we're gonna go to Rude Mountain! I hope you're all excited, 'cause this is the joke I'm gonna be running with the whole dub!"
Voiced by: Scout

  • Blatant Lies: When Josh is informing Chris about a new Halo game, Mike claims to not know any games that aren't Five Nights at Freddy's or made by indie developers, however just before then he compares Josh to a Far Cry villain while the latter is explaining that killing him will just cause the vibes to take Mike or Chris quicker, and later when Josh talks about Rare being able to make a new Banjo-Kazooie game on the X-Box, Mike goes out of his way to acknowledge the game by saying that it was never good.
  • Foil: To Josh, as they both find out they're merely extensions of their voice actors. While Josh goes mad from the revelation and tries to kill his friends over it, Mike instead strives to become one with his VA, succeeding by the time of the credits.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: In Part 2, he becomes aware that he's really an actor voicing a character from a horror video game in an improv dub, which causes him to feel like he's losing his sanity.

    Matthew Taylor
Voiced by: Dyvone

Dr. Alan Hill/Dr. Green Z. Hill
"Here at therapy, we're here to answer the one big burning question everyone's got: what the fuck is wrong with you?"
Voiced by: Holly HollowTones

  • A God Am I: When Josh pisses him off sufficiently, he asks if he's ready to feel the wrath of a god. Given he refers to himself as the universe's therapist, he may have some celestial standing to back up his threat.
  • Almighty Janitor: He's not just a therapist. As he explains, he's the universe's therapist.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Green Z. Hill? Clearly, his middle name is... Zachariah.
  • Big Good: Via the butterfly effect, he’s been changing events that Josh caused to more favourable paths so that the group can live, and he had also sent down Larry B. Loomin to fix things up.
  • Mr. Exposition: He pretty much is the one who’s connecting every single one of the group’s shenanigans into a coherent narrative. For instance, during his interactions with Josh, he’s the one revealing stuff like what Rude Mountain actually is and the reasons for stuff like the time dilation and talking objects.

    The Stranger/Jack Fiddler/Larry B. Loomin
Voiced by: Dyvone

  • Hidden Depths: He is the author of Vibes & Vrejudice.
  • Losing Your Head: He is still able to talk long after getting beheaded, and Dr. Hill implies that he might be able to save him by sewing his head back on.
  • Off with His Head!: Gets decapitated onscreen.
  • Renaissance Man: A professional loomer, famous vibe scientist and published novelist.

    Wolfie
"Hello, hi, I'm so happy to see you!"
Voiced by: Dollip Daze

  • But Now I Must Go: Is last seen leaving Mike to go to Chuck E. Cheese.
  • Gender Flip: Mark at one point refers to her with female pronouns, while Wolfie in the main game is likely a male.
  • Morality Pet: At one point, Mark threatens to kill the very next person he sees after getting annoyed by the fourth wall, but when Wolfie greets him after saying this, he doesn't try to kill her and acts friendly to her instead.
  • Talking Animal: This version of Wolfie can speak English.
  • Vocal Dissonance: She has a very cutesy voice for a threatening looking wolf.

    The Wendigoes/The Funny Guys
Voiced by: Penny Parker

The Subspace Emissary characters

    Mario
Voiced by: Robby Fregosi

  • Berserk Button: Harming Peach. When Link appears to do it, Mario's first instinct is to beat him up.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: He's awfully excited to cum when the opportunity does.
  • Mistaken for Afterlife: Mario assumes he's died and gone to heaven when he enters Skyland, and asks Pit if he's God.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: He often flip-flops between his trademark accent and just speaking like Robby.
  • Suddenly Shouting: He goes from casually talking to Pit to screaming about how he was hit in the face with a cannonball.

    Kirby
Voiced by: Mar Katoto

  • Brick Joke: Kirby jokes that he wants to shit out one of Dedede's badges. Unfortunately, he's left bitterly disappointed when he spits it out instead.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: Refers to Peach and Zelda as his girlfriends.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: He's profane even compared to the other characters; most instances of "fuck" or "shit" are from him.

    Peach
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk
The Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.
  • Helium Speech: Both Peach and Zelda sound like they inhaled helium for all their lines. However, it's really because Red is actually able to make their voice go that high. It gets to the extent that the others tell Red they can't hear them because they got filtered out by the recording's noise reduction.
  • Static Role, Exchangeable Character: An odd consequence of this is that whenever she or Zelda shows up past the Petey Piranha fight, the cutscene repeats itself with their positions switched thanks to the story changing to accord to the princess freed in the Petey fight.
  • The Unintelligible: She can't form a comprehensible sentence most of the time.

    Zelda / Sheik
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk
The Princess of Hyrule.
  • Helium Speech: Both Zelda and Peach sound like they inhaled helium, but Red is genuinely able to make their voice go that high. It gets to the point where the others can't even hear them at times because it doesn't come up on the recording.
  • Static Role, Exchangeable Character: An odd consequence of this is that whenever she or Peach shows up past the Petey Piranha fight, the cutscene repeats itself with their positions switched thanks to the story changing to accord to the princess freed in the Petey fight.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Sheik has the same absurdly high-pitched voice as Zelda despite being disguised as a masculine ninja.

    Pit
Voiced by: Penny Parker

    The Ancient Minister / R.O.B. / WALL•E
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Big Bad Ensemble: With Ganondorf and Tabuu of Subspace Dubbed Over. Out of the three, he is the one that gets the most screen time, also making him The Heavy of the dub.
  • Enemy Mine: After Ganondorf hijacks the plot and his army, he joins forces with the good guys in order to stop him.
  • The Heavy: As mentioned above, he is the most actively involved antagonist in the dub, whilst Tabuu and Ganondorf act as the Greater Scope Villains until the end.
  • Hijacked by Ganon: Literally in his case. After Samus, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon and Olimar break into his lair, Ganondorf immediately assumes control over his army, forces them to detonate all of the Magnet Bombs and, when the Ancient Minister resists, tries to kill him, albeit unsuccessfully.
  • Immediate Self-Contradiction: While arguing that he isn't a dumbass, he argues that one couldn't understand the genius behind the Subspace Bombs...which he passingly admits is a stupid idea.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: By his own admission, he's homophobic. Crosses over a bit with Armored Closet Gay as he admits it's because gay people make him think too much about his own attraction to men.
  • Villainous Crush: He has a crush on Samus and says that his whole scheme was actually a surprise birthday party for her.

    Wario
"WARIO!!! I GOTTA WIN!!!"
Voiced by: Holly HollowTones
Mario's greedy rival. Can only say his name and that he's gotta win.
  • Adaptational Dumbass: Possibly? It varies in his own series, but Wario's intelligence has never gotten to the point that he can only scream his own name and "I GOTTA WIN!!!" Despite this, his actions in the cutscenes imply that he has the same level of intelligence.
  • Determinator: He's driven to "win" (whatever that entails) if half his dialogue is any indication.
  • Forced Transformation: Lucas says, after claiming he was dead forever, that he actually turned into his dog.
  • Killed Off for Real: Lucas claims that he's dead forever after he and Pokémon Trainer defeat him. He then states that he actually turned into his dog, Boney. Neither of these applied as he was revived in Subspace.
  • Mythology Gag: His one line ("WARIO!!! I GOTTA WIN!!!") is one of his victory quotes from Mario Party.
  • No Indoor Voice: Every line he has is delivered as loudly as possible. Ironically, the quietest that he gets is when he screams as he gets sucked into Subspace.
  • Pokémon Speak: He can only say his name and that he's gotta win.

    Palutena
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte
A goddess of light whom Pit serves.
  • Quest Giver: She tells Pit to help the heroes and also make sure that nobody tries to fuck her mom.

    Donkey Kong
Voiced by: Robby Fregosi
The first member of the DK Crew.
  • Badass Boast: "You can't shoot Donkey Kong," he bellows as he's being shot at.
  • Berserk Button: Flies into a violent rage upon seeing bananas.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: DK beats up Bowser's army for the crime of having bananas.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Both he and Diddy hate bananas, to the point of taking down Bowser's minions when he sees them making off with a whole pile of them.
  • Dung Fu: DK threatens to "fart and poop on" Bowser's minions.
  • The Modest Orgasm: DK has one while being imprisoned and chained up by the Subspace Army. He has a reaction resembling The Immodest Orgasm when he's freed.

    Diddy Kong
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Does Not Like Spam: He shares his hatred of bananas with DK, and helps him defeat Bowser's banana-toting minions.
  • Mood-Swinger: Diddy often changes his mood on a dime, such as during the build-up and aftermath of the Rayquaza fight.

    Bowser
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte
The King of the Koopas. Also a gun enthusiast and owner of the gayest looking car around.

    Fox
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk

    Lucas
Voiced by: Mar Katoto

  • Blatant Lies: After Wario turns into a trophy, Lucas says that he's dead, then turned into his dog. Obviously, none of these are true.
  • Running Gagged: Lucas gets sick of the Pokémon Trainer's obsession with Pizza Tower right before the fight with Galleom.

    Ness
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

  • I Am Not Shazam: Parodied; he introduces himself as "EarthBound", the game he's from. invoked
  • Mellow Fellow: Even when he's being confronted by the Porky statue or shot at by Wario, he goes on nonchalant tangents about food and Pizza Tower.

    Pokémon Trainer
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

    Marth
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum
The gay Prince of Altea.
  • Calling Your Attacks: Announces Homosexual Slash when he uses it.
  • Have I Mentioned I Am Gay?: Despite proudly announcing that he's gay whenever he gets, he doesn't try to build a relationship with another man.
  • Queer Establishing Moment: After Meta Knight shows up, he declares that he wants to be gay with him.
  • Running Gagged: He tries to continue Ryan's Pizza Tower obsession, but he's sidewinded by the purple energy sphere the Ancient Minister's magnet spawned and his character shifts to being gay once Meta Knight appears.

    Meta Knight
Voiced by: John "Spuuky" Choi

    Ike
Voiced by: Robby Fregosi
Commander of the Greil Mercenaries and noted pansexual.
  • Cargo Ship: He's "pansexual"; as in, he's sexually attracted to cookery. invoked
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: After the Subspace Emissary explains that he's homophobic, Ike only has one response before wrecking his Subspace Bomb:
    Ike: I'M PANSEXUAL!

    Luigi
Voiced by: Penny Parker

  • Bring My Brown Pants: Luigi is so scared of everything that he pees and poops himself throughout the dub.

    King Dedede
Voiced by: Holly HollowTones

  • Accent On The Wrong Syllable: Somehow applied to his own name.
King Dedede: I'm the king! Dedede!
  • Adaptational Jerkass: In the original, his Dedede Brooches were entirely made to save people from the Off-Waves, and he gives the princess his brooch in spite of giving up his own safety. Here, he gives the princess a brooch specifically because it has either asbestos or lead in it and he doesn't want to get sick, handing that risk off to the princess.
  • Determinator: By consequence of a cutscene repeating, Dedede tries to run the heroes over in the exact same way twice, saying "this time it's gonna fuckin' work!"
  • Large Ham: Compared to the...other voice Holly does in this dub, Dedede's voice is more low key. That being said, Dedede has a very hammy Deep South accent.
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Holly briefly forgets about the Southern accent that she's given Dedede near the end of the dub.
  • Shout-Out: Holly's Dedede voice is an impression of Ted Lewis's portrayal of him from Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.
  • Static Role, Exchangeable Character: His dialogue differs between the two princesses when he puts his brooches on them; for Peach, he says the brooch has asbestos in it and says he'll go to Hell once his roof falls on him. For Zelda, he says the brooch has lead in it and says he'll go to Heaven once his roof falls on him.

    Link
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte
The Hero of Hyrule. Also known as Zelda.
  • Boring, but Practical: He doesn't think much of the Master Sword despite its power, noting with annoyance that it probably doesn't have any cool attacks in it.
  • I Am Not Shazam: Parodied; he refers to himself as Zelda. invoked

    Yoshi
Voiced by: Holly HollowTones

  • Captain Obvious: A lot of his lines state obvious things about himself or others, like how he just notices that he's green.
  • Loveable Sex Maniac: By his own admission, he had a whole bunch of "disgusting sex" before taking a long rest.

    Samus
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte

  • Ambiguous Gender Identity: Samus occasionally says "Heat from fire; fire from heat," a line commonly associated with vocal training for trans women, but that later turns out to be the secret passcode for the electronic lock keeping her Power Suit sealed away. It's never explicitly said if Samus is trans otherwise.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Samus speaks with a cool and collected demeanor, appears to be singlemindedly focused on retrieving her Power Suit, and seems to ignore the chaos of everyone around her.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: The first thing that the R.O.B.s say when seeing her in her Zero Suit? "She's so hot! She's so hot! Jacking off procedures: initiating!"
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The Ancient Minister is really into her and set everything up as a surprise birthday party for her, which almost lead to Tabuu having everyone jack him off.

    Pikachu
Voiced by: Mar Katoto

  • Distracted by My Own Sexy: Expresses confoundment about the size of his own ass.
  • Pokémon Speak: Defied; the dubbers are surprised when Mar decides to give Pikachu actual dialogue instead of just saying his own name.

    Ganondorf
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • All for Nothing: Ganondorf's motivation is to get Master Hand to jack him off. By the time he gets to him, he's been captured by Tabuu. Ganondorf then frees Master Hand, but is subsequently incapacitated.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: With Tabuu and the Ancient Minister of Subspace Dubbed Over, with the Ancient Minister acting as The Heavy whilst he acts as the Greater-Scope Villain for the majority of the dub until he reveals himself and becomes the sole Big Bad before Tabuu enters the picture and becomes the Final Boss.
  • Evil Laugh: He delivers a classic one just before all the Subspace Bombs go off. Despite the quality of the dub, Alfred surprisingly puts a good amount of effort into it.

    Falco
Voiced by: Ryan Mitchum

  • Cargo Ship: Leaves at one point to fuck his gun. invoked
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Fucks inanimate objects and a robot made of feces.
  • Interrupted Catchphrase: He almost gets to make the recurring "Nineteen-aught-Seven" joke, but Diddy Kong drags him off before he can finish.

    Olimar
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman (Olimar), John "Spuuky" Choi (Pikmin)

  • Kiai: The Pikmin sing a melodic hum when attacking a R.O.B., though it doesn't do anything.
  • Vocal Dissonance: One of the red Pikmin has a bizarrely deep voice.

    Captain Falcon
Voiced by: Robby Fregosi

  • Teeny Weenie: He proudly proclaims that he probably has a small penis. Weirdly enough, he doesn't seem to be sure.

    Ice Climbers
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman (Popo), Mar Katoto (Nana)
A pair of eccentric Germans whose noted hobbies are ice climbing and climbing on ice.

    Lucario
Voiced by: Red Van Buskirk
A furry.

    Solid Snake
Voiced by: John "Spuuky" Choi
A gay man who hides in cardboard boxes.
  • Broken Record: Snake takes every opportunity available to say "Kept you waiting, huh?", usually when introducing himself.

    Mr. Game and Watch
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman

  • Dung Fu: He's the source of the poo gas used to create the Subspace Army.

    Enemies
Voiced by: Alfred Coleman (Primids), Robby Fregosi (R.O.B.s), John "Spuuky" Choi (Waddle Dees)

    Boss Characters
Voiced by: Holly HollowTones (Rayquaza), John "Spuuky" Choi (Everyone Else)

  • Calling Your Attacks: Rayquaza has a "Biden Blast".
  • Meaningful Name: Ridley is obsessed with telling riddles. One could say he's riddle-y.
  • Mellow Fellow: Contrasting Holly's other roles as Wario and Dedede, Rayquaza is very soft-spoken even as he's roaring at Diddy and trying to kill him with his Biden Blast.
  • Out with a Bang: Duon disintegrates after having offscreen sex with Falco.
  • Riddle Me This: Ridley only lets intruders pass by answering his three riddles, and he loves posing this challenge.
  • Say My Name: All Petey Piranha gets to say before his death is his own name as he announces his presence.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Rayquaza retreats when people start voting for him.
  • Who Writes This Crap?!: Porky is constantly lampshading everything he does with angry bewilderment, culminating in him angrily shouting that at this rate he'll probably start flying next.

    Master Hand
Voiced by: John "Spuuky" Choi

  • Suddenly Voiced: He doesn't say anything in his initial scene, but then becomes talkative in the end.

    Tabuu
Voiced by: Joy Charlotte

    Post-Game Characters
Voiced by: N/A
Toon Link, Jigglypuff, and Wolf, a trio of fighters who are never involved with the main story.
  • Flipping the Bird: Wolf perfectly closes out the dub by flipping the camera off due to unfortunate camera placement. And then Penny fires everyone.
  • The Generic Guy: Given that they have no involvement in the main story whatsoever, they have less personality compared to the others, at least from what can be discerned from everyone yelling over each other.
