TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts I
  • Lanipator, Grant, and Howard (TehExorcist) screaming like maniacs upon the reveal that they will be playing this game.
  • The guys attempting to sing “Simple and Clean” during the opening sequence.
  • They state that the game being played was due to extreme popular demand, and that they received four copies of the game mailed in from fans. They then joke that it may have been a single, obsessive fan who kept sending them copies of the game and successfully socially engineered them into playing it.
  • In the tutorial they choose to fight with the shield instead of the sword to make the game more challenging, despite the fact they’re already playing on proud mode. Howard’s reaction is appropriate, and quickly becomes a Running Gag. note
  • They decide that Goofy’s famous holler should be the sound made whenever he gets knocked out in the game.
  • Insisting on fighting Riku on Destiny Islands even though they kept losing badly to him and saying the battle was like “fighting Sephiroth already”. They do pay on him back in the race though, by skipping the course entirely.
    • They conclude that Riku is Sephiroth’s son and has inherited his difficulty as That One Boss.
  • Their impressions of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy about how King Mickey is tyrant and trying to prevent the peasants from uprising, and Goofy being a war criminal who will most likely be executed if the regime falls from power.
  • Joking about Sora and Riku eating the Paopu fruit together, while Kairi gets left out.
  • The guys realize that Sora technically slept through puberty, and believe that this fact, combined with him being surrounded by anthropomorphic animals during the series, makes the concept of sexual desire alien to him.
  • Imagining Sora’s mother as an abusive woman who became The Alcoholic and yells at him by his full name whenever she's mad at him. Grant pretends that when she's calling Sora for dinner, she followed it with, “Get your ass to the table, Sora Christopher Disney! YOU WONDER WHY YOUR DAD LEFT?”
  • When Destiny Islands is being invaded by the Heartless, they talk about a scenario in which Riku became The Hero while Sora's greed, pride, and jealousy leads him to the darkness to become The Rival. They decide that Riku would get it done in three minutes and that Sora’s resentment would stem partly from Kairi being more interested in Riku but mainly from how Riku beat Sora at a competition nine times (the eight times the guys lost to Riku in a fight plus Lanipator's failed attempt to go through the race properly). Bonus for the fact that Riku was supposed to be the hero all along.
  • As they note, the remaster to HD did not work quite as well with the faces on the character models, leading to Unintentional Uncanny Valley. Kirran describes Yuffie in particular as giving a Dumplin smile while talking about Sora’s homeworld being destroyed.
  • At the start of the second stream, the guys tweak Amber Lee Connorsnote , who loves Final Fantasy VIII, by telling her that in KH Squall goes by the name “Leon”. After a few moments of stunned disbelief, she declares it the dumbest thing she's ever heard. It only gets worse when she points out that his surname is already Leonhart and asks if that means his full name is “Leon Leonhart”. As she leaves, Lani notes that it’s ironically probably raining outside.
  • In Wonderland, when Donald gets in their way during a platforming section, they simply push him off and imagine that he died from the fall.
    Goofy!Lani: You killed him!
Goofy!Grant:: Sora, his blood is on your hands!
  • In the 100 Acre Wood, they notice the name Mr. Sanderz written above the front door of Pooh’s house and speculate that Pooh mauled the house’s original occupant to death, took his house, and wears his now blood-soaked shirt.
  • After sealing the Keyhole in Wonderland, they make a plethora of jokes comparing it to ejaculation in the Doorknob's mouth.
  • On the way to Deep Jungle, the guys sing songs from Tarzan. This continues at the world itself, where they continually sing the "Trashin' The Camp" song and sing "Two Worlds" while sliding with Tarzan.
  • When Clayton walks into the tent with Donald and Goofy, they mention the idea that it would've been more in-character if he brought them in to mount on the wall instead. “Look what I found!” he would say with Goofy on a leash and Donald's corpse slung over his shoulder.
  • Grant imagining that one of the projector slides shown to Tarzan on human civilization includes hardcore pornography.
  • Upon running into Phil in Olympus Coliseum for the first time, Phil says that he’s busy sprucing the coliseum up for “the gaaaaaaaames.” From then on, any time a character or one of them says the word game, all of them yell out “the gaaaaaaaames.”
  • During the preliminary tournament in Olympus Coliseum, they are up against a Large Body with both Donald and Goofy knocked out. By complete accident, they discover that the Large Body stops his charging attack if he runs into a knocked out party member, leading to a funny moment where Donald becomes much more helpful when he's unconscious.
  • At the end of part 4 Lani tries to give his standard ending message, only to be interrupted by the others cheering as they manage to break the game by rolling out a window.
  • Goofy gets a Final Mix-exclusive ability called Evolution upon leveling up during a fight in Halloween Town. The specific wording in the notification is “Learned Evolution,” so Grant and Lani start doing impressions of Goofy explaining how he became a Social Darwinist (reading the works of Charles Darwin himself and watching Donald repeatedly die in battle). They get so caught up in this that they distract Howard from playing and end up getting Sora killed.
  • When Goofy says, “See ya later, Donald,” after turning on Riku to protect Sora, Grant and Howard imagine a scenario where instead of immediately following after Goofy, Donald actually sides with Riku in the ensuing boss fight.

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
  • In Chain of Memories (the GBA version, which they insist is the superior version) they insert their trademark humor not 3 minutes into the first cutscene, where they imagine that Jiminy complains about being dragged on this journey against his will and Sora retorts by eating him.
  • Later in Chain of Memories, the entire section where Lani is trying (and failing) to guide Winnie the Pooh through the 100 Acre Woods level with his less-than-stellar AI, with Lani just screaming at the television pretty much all the way through.
  • Grant realizing that the plot is basically the Organization writing a fanfic and forcing Naminé to be their OC.
Grant: Naminé chuckled, “You mean the Chaos Emeralds?”
  • Episode 4 has them decide that Peter Pan is basically the Vegeta of the game, with Lani voicing his lines as Abridged Vegeta.
    • In the same episode Lani learns from the chat that in Linkara's story he lost Comicron-1 recently. His response?
Lanipator: That motherfucker… If I were in his continuity right now I would be so cross with him.
  • During the Chain of Memories finale, Grant tells the story of a Kingdom Hearts parody project that he, Taka, and Antfish were part of many years ago (before TFS was even formed) called Disorganization XIII and the director, while well-meaning, made a bunch of poor creative choices, including having Taka voice Lexaeus as a Scary Black Man, to which Lani responds, “[Taka] is the whitest man I know!”

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts II (and watches Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days recap movie)
  • During the fight against Axel at the start of KHII, a question from the livechat asked Lani why he didn't like Bleach because it was "better than Yu Yu Hakusho". Lani immediately goes off on them and demands the person to be kicked out of the chat despite not finding out who it was.
  • The frequent jokes about Pence’s shirt having the word “Dogstreet” on it.
  • While continually failing in one of the missions in The Land of Dragons, they complain about how much Mulan disguised as Ping sucks as a party member, and lament the fact that they cannot switch her out yet. Grant notes the numerous comments in the chat at the moment stating that, “China is doomed.”
    • One of the lose conditions for those missions is letting the Morale gauge drop to zero, and to pick up Morale orbs, they have to destroy enemies and break stuff. A mission that has them fighting Heartless at the Chinese army’s campsite has the chat mislead them to believing that blowing up fellow soldiers’ tents will boost their “morale”.
      • Speaking of destroying property, after Shan-Yu’s initial defeat at the mountains, when they return to the ruins of the village on the mountain, they joke about how the fireworks Sora was blowing up during these missions ended up landing there and causing the destruction, not Shan-Yu.
  • During the first part of them watching the 358/2 Days recap movie, they interpret a specific screenshot of Vexen bringing Roxas on a reconnaissance mission as him teaching Roxas how to sing.
  • Lampshading Carnivore Confusion regarding Donald Duck's presence in The Land of Dragons, pointing out that the soldiers should be thinking of peking duck when they see him.
  • After Mulan finally sheds the Ping disguise and becomes useful, they immediately take advantage of the fact that they are now free to swap her out, since she's still not as useful as Donald and Goofy. Then the chat jokingly brings up the Unfortunate Implications and coincidental parallels of Mulan getting kicked out of the party shortly after being revealed as a woman, which is what the Chinese army just did to her. Lanipator even throws in an Ironic Echo to Shang's statement about what lying to the army means for her.
Grant: (reading from the chat) How sexist of Sora; as soon as his teammate reveals she is a girl, he kicks her out!
    (Kirran laughs)
Grant: What?! This is dude’s corner!
    Kirran: You lied to me!
Lanipator: The penalty of lying to Sora is death!
Grant: (as Sora) I’m cool with a lady pretending to be a dude on our team, but if you're gonna be upfront about your ladyhood, Get Out!!! This is for men, ducks, and dogs only!
  • After defeating Shan-Yu, they joke about the Emperor both rewarding Mulan for her heroism with 100 coins and punishing her for lying to the army by getting drawn & quartered. Donald and Goofy will be served for the feast.
  • The Alternate Character Interpretation for Axel in 358/2 Days portrays him as the jealous friend who doesn't like Xion being the third wheel between him and Roxas.
  • When fighting against some Aeroplane Heartless in Timeless River, they make a couple of jokes referring to the pilot-themed enemies in a black-and-white setting as being from Imperial Germany. This leads to a few comments and discussions about the subject which, aside from coming kind of out of nowhere, feels incredibly incongruous for a Let's Play, especially for a game like Kingdom Hearts II.
    • This "news report" read in an exaggerated radio reporter voice.
Grant: The War Comes Home! The Story of Sora and His Two Giant Friends!
Lanipator: The story in the paper this morning; giant boy saves town!
Lanipator: And a young man named Hitler rises to power in Germany. Good luck there, Hitler!
Grant: Yeah, good luck, young Hitler! Surely, nothing bad could come from this!
Lanipator: Surely, nothing could be worse than the Kaiser.
    • Someone in the chat asked Lanipator about his thoughts on Hitler and the Nazi party. The only things they can compliment Hitler on being good at are playing the political game, maybe strategy, and definitely scapegoating.
Lanipator: Eh… not a huge fan. Frankly, I think they did a lot of things very wrong.
Grant: (in newspaper voice) There's something to be said about his economic policy— (laughs)
  • After clearing the Timeless River/Disney Castle world, the map opens up to Port Royal and a new episode for the Olympus Coliseum is unlocked. They state that their next destination is an obvious choice. Then they head for the Gummi route to Atlantica.
Lanipator: It's not really a question. It’s time for some finny fun.
  • As they start Atlantica, the chat reminds them that there will be a lot of songs that they may not be able to let play due to Disney copyright. One solution they consider is to sing loudly over it with their own mangled singing.
  • King Triton’s Fantastic Racism against humans and disapproval of Ariel's fascination with humans lead to them wondering what undersea society’s version of the Furry Fandom is, and what derogatory terms are used for it. The examples they come up with are "leggy" and "biped".
  • Lanipator’s take on Sebastian’s This Is Gonna Suck reaction to Ariel's moodiness leads to some more Alternate Character Interpretation that gets unusually outlandish for such a small moment.
Lanipator: Those are the eyes of a man who’s seen war.
Grant: There was the Great Ocean War of the Forties.
    • According to the chat, Sebastian had to watch his brother die in his claws.
    • Grant wants fan art of “The Undersea War: Triton’s Violent Rise to Power”, which was Triton vs. Poseidon, and involved some heavy family drama.
  • Someone in the chat apparently took offense to Lanipator using the word "frankly", which he guesses is because it might have been used by Donald Trump at some point.
Lanipator: It’s not like, “You’re fired. I’m gonna grab you by the pussy and fuck your rights.” There, now I’m Trump.
Grant: Hitler used the word “my” in…
Lanipator: Am I not allowed to use the words, “My Struggle”?
Grant: Yeah, like, “struggle” and “my”; those words are officially anti-Semitic. That is not the case at all.
  • Riku standing on the rooftop of the Memory’s Skyscraper in The World That Never Was with his blindfold on is apparently Riku rocking his Buttdork cosplay.
  • Grant referring to the Dark Corridors as the “Avenues of Darkness”.
  • When Kairi and Pluto arrive in Twilight Town, they act out Pence's excitement at finally having a dog on Dog Street.
Grant: My name’s Pence and my life just got so much better!
  • Continuing their interpretation of Mickey as a horrible tyrant, they decide he is not happy with Goofy and Donald ignoring his orders at Hollow Bastion.
Mickey!Grant: You’re disobeying a direct order and I never forgive!
Mickey!Lani: I will court martial you! You will be haaanged!
Mickey!Grant: Do you remember nothing of my regime?!
  • Prior to the 15th stream, Howard took over and used his pro skills to beat Sephiroth and do some leveling. But he decided to prank them by changing the skills, items, and abilites of everyone and messed up Lani & Kirran, leading to the two cursing out Howard for several minutes.
  • Howard introduces everyone to an utterly ridiculous strategy for making the Saïx boss fight a complete farce; summoning Peter Pan to shank him repeatedly and lock him in an inescapable combo. Lani gets flashbacks to Dragon Ball Z Sagas and welcomes Saïx to Dumplin’s fuckbox.

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
  • Grant and Kirran have played this game before while Lani hasn't, so we get to see his reaction to things like the cool armor and the keyblade turning into a bike.
  • Terra is immediately compared to Anakin Skywalker and many prequel jokes are made, including saying the infamous “I don’t like sand” line but replacing sand with light instead.
  • Lani mistaking Ventus for Roxas.
  • Due to being as much of a Star Wars nerd as Tetsuya Nomura, Lani keeps on coming up with the most cliché ways for Terra’s story to go based on the prequel movies, and he ends up right almost down to the word:
Master Xehanort: Terra… you are the one who shows the true Mark of Mastery, but he refuses to see it.
    Lani: Aw, yeah!
    Kirran: Butter 'em up.
Grant: This is what we call a compliment sandwich.
Xehanort!Lani: They don't understand your power. They fear you!
Master Xehanort: And I know why. It is because he fears you.
    Lani: I was right!
  • Throughout Terra’s story, they make frequent jokes about his Obliviously Evil actions and exaggerate his blind willingness to think he’s the good guy while gleefully doing villainous things like stealing people’s hearts.
  • In the fourth episode, people are wondering who hbi2k is, so he keeps finding a way to instead identify another person on the couch (though he does introduce himself once). Eventually, it becomes obvious that people are asking just to see how he gets around answering this time.
  • Near the end of the fourth episode, Lani is repeatedly defeated by Terra's Final Boss, who the general fandom considers one of the hardest bosses in Birth By Sleep. Swearing to return the favor by next week's stream, Lani spends that time grinding out levels and new abilities for the rematch. Come the fifth episode Lani curb stomps Terra's Final Boss with resounding ease.
Grant: This is like the anime after the Time Skip, when the main character comes back. Just, OMG Naruto! How did you learn to control all the tails?
    • He wins so fast that Grant's earlier joke about the fight being over before most of the audience can watch the livestream start comes true!
Grant: You know it’s funny. I like how we got everything set-up to early this time, and without quikies doing work on this, by the time this tweet goes up that this is live, he[Terranort] might be dead! Cause you're doing a ton of damage now!
Lani: Told you man, grinded to hell.
  • When Aqua finds Mickey’s unconscious body floating in space, he mutters Yen Sid's name and Aqua takes him to the Mysterious Tower. The guys joke that Yen Sid is actually a brutal teacher and Mickey was trying to escape his Training from Hell.
    • Specifically, Yen Sid is pissed off at Mickey for stealing his hat, and ever since that punishment, Mickey has been traumatized by the sight of brooms.
    • When it's pointed out that the brooms appeared as royal guards in Disney Town, they decide that Mickey turned his greatest fear into a weapon and repurposed the brooms he once feared as his new army under his iron-fisted reign.
  • During the last episode Kirran goes back to Neverland, and specifically to Peter Pan's tree, in order to grind to prepare for the True Final Boss. While there the chat proceeds to beg him to pick up a sticker that is floating above the tree. Kirran proceeds to conveniently miss the sticker every time he tries to grab it and, after grinding enough, proceeds to leave the area telling the chat that he tried to grab the sticker but just couldn't reach it.

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
  • In part 6 Sora comes across Mickey from the past in the Symphony of Silence world and the team again decides to interpret Yen Sid as an awful teacher and Mickey as a tyrannical king.
Mickey!Grant: This is back when Yen Sid was making me work, working me to death. Said I had to carry these buckets of water before I could hold a keyblade. I have no idea what carrying these buckets of water had anything to do with like, you know, magic.
Mickey!Lani: So I decided to magic me an army of brooms and now they're my guards in my kingdom!
Mickey!Grant: Who’s drawing you a bath now, old man!? It's the brooms!
Mickey!Grant: We have indoor plumbing, you tyrant.

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage

TFS Plays - Kingdom Hearts III
  • In the first YouTube upload, they edited the audio to play Face My Fears backwards during the opening to avoid a copyright strike but left their own audio alone.
  • The first YouTube upload ends with Lani’s repeated Big "WHAT?!" at the “Kingdom Hearts II.9” Logo.
  • During the Hercules world, they activate the Goofy Bombardier move, which involves hurling Goofy at the enemy. In this case, they happened to throw him into a pit of fire.
    Sora!Lani: Eat ‘em, Goofy!
    Goofy!Lani!: Aaaah! Sora, why?
    Goofy!Lani: Sora, no!
  • Pointing out the Platonic Writing, Romantic Reading fumble in the Kingdom of Corona that would logically lead to Rapunzel falling in love with Sora.
  • When they get to the infamous “Yeetus Vanitas” scene in Monstropolis, Lani wants Vanitas to avert Forgot About His Powers and immediately teleport right behind Sully afterwards. They also want Sully to be a new Keyblade wielder and help the Guardians of Light in the final battle, complete with a Nomura design full of zippers.
  • In the Frozen world, Lani sings “Let It Go” as the movie’s musical number, fully recreated, plays to avoid copyright issues. While the scene plays, there are cuts to Sora and the gang reacting to the number’s events, the guys comparing it to Lion King 1½. After the song, they comment that Sora must be wondering “the fuck was that?” before saying:
Lani!Sora: Wow, I bet that made billions in the Chinese market!
  • While fighting hordes of enemies in the Keyblade Graveyard, they finish off the Demon Tide with Goofy Bombardier in a move both hilarious and awesome. Upon winning, they sing bits of songs from Goof Troop.
Grant: Goofy Bombardier! Blow ‘em up!
Lani: Right into the eye of the storm, Goofy!
    Kaiser: (Goofy’s trademark holler)
    Lani: GET HYUCKED!!!
  • During Yen Sid’s Big Damn Heroes moment at the Keyblade Graveyard, Lani suggests that he should be joined by an army of walking brooms to fight the hordes of enemies.
  • After the Dual Boss fight against Dark Riku and Xigbar, Kirran urges them to have Sora take a selfie with “the corpse”note . The Logan Paul jokes inevitably ensue.
    Stephan: Gotta Logan Paul this.
Lani!Sora: You’ll never believe what I found in the trees of Japan.
Kirran: Come on, you gotta get a smile. Give me a smile, give me a smile.
Kaiser: Oh my god, really, bro?
(Sora in-game says cheese and gestures to the body lying on the ground)
Kirran: Yes! Thank you, that’s why this is the best.
Lani: (abridged Krillin voice) Welcome to the corpse blog!
    Stephan: Sora’s an ugly American.
  • There’s a Running Gag of the guys getting turned on by Xemnas’s voice. This reaches its apex during the final battle when Kirran drops this gem:
Kirran: I wanna just get a giant sub-woofer and sit on it.
  • Lani’s reaction at the ending:
Lani: *after sitting there dumbfounded for about a minute* The best way I can describe this series is that I hatefuck it.
  • In the post-credits Sequel Hook, Lani wants some levity to the scene by having Pete show up out of nowhere to tackle all the Foretellers and Xigbar, then grab the box.

     General
  • A Running Gag that develops is that, due to copyright reasons (particularly Disney’s notoriously strict copyright policies), they can’t allow any of the theme songs and Disney songs to be heard in their streams. Their usual solution is to either mute it or put obnoxiously loud sounds over the music (mainly their own rambling).
  • Deciding on Holatuskr as the name for the Gummi Ship. Speaking of which, when learning that winning the race on Destiny Islands to name the raft that also contributes to an in-game score card comparing Sora’s victories to Riku’s on the islands, they create a Running Gag of imagining the cutscenes awkwardly inserting the numbers from this into dialogue referencing their rivalry.
  • Lani dubbing Xehanort’s Guardian his Stand, Fade to Black.
  • Between Dream Drop and A Fragmentary Passage they watch Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover. They and the chat decide that the Master of Masters is actually either Kaiser or Deadpool because of his voice, over-the-top gestures and trolling antics.
Ben: It really is like a society of idiots chose Deadpool to be their king.
  • During the plot summary discussion prior to Kingdom Hearts III, when going over Kingdom Hearts χ, Lani jokingly brings up the time travel lore only for Tyler to yell, “The only person who can time travel in the phone game is Maleficent,” causing Lani to do a Thousand-Yard Stare. The camera even zooms in on his face to emphasize his reaction.
  • Near the end of the plot summary discussion, Tyler starts bringing up his headcanon/fan theory that the Master of Masters is in fact a time-traveling Sora.
  • Stephan spends much of the plot summary emphasizing the intentional parallels between characters to justify his lists and categories (i.e. counting how many characters are “a Kairi” or “a Sora”). He also refers to Kairi’s status as a Princess of Heart as not just being “best girl”, but the story affirming her to be one of seven canonical best girls in-universe.
