Visiting his girlfriend

The werewolf who 'owns' the cabin due to eating it's previous inhabitants.

  • Achilles' Heel: Werewolves can only be reliably killed with silver.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Claire calls him "Puppy".
  • Animals Lack Attributes: The reason he gets away with never wearing pants is that nothing is visible while he's wolfed out.
  • Ate It All: Frequently as he is always hungry, he has apparently drank all the syrup multiple times.
  • Barefoot Cartoon Animal: His feet aren't really shaped for shoes.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Saving Charby from Munchie.
  • Big Eater: He has at least once eaten a meal intended for everyone in the cabin, when there were fifteen of them.
  • Cartwright Curse: His dating attempts early on all end with the death of his date, it's lucky his girlfriend is functionally immortal.
  • Cursed with Awesome: He loves being a werewolf.
  • Cute Monster: He was mistaken for a cute little puppy by the scientists in the cabin.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was left in the garbage and the closest thing to a name he had before meeting Charby was little brother, unless the scientists did end up calling him Duncan or Doughnut like they were discussing.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: He actually doesn't wear pants because they are really uncomfortable with fur and a tail, it only really bothers the other characters if they need to carry him (Charby makes him wear shorts) or he gets turned back into his human form in which case he is no longer an animal.
  • Healing Factor: Werewolves have an impressive one when wolfed out, and he's always transformed.
  • Horror Hunger: He liked the cabin's previous inhabitants, he just can't control himself during the full moon.
  • Interspecies Romance: Is dating the vampire Claire, and once went on a date with a banshee.
  • Meaningful Name: Menu for the constantly hungry werewolf which is shortened from Menulis the moon god which is why Charby suggested it for his name.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: His are brown.
  • Never Given a Name: Prior to meeting Charby Menu had never been given a name as his parents abandoned him as an infant. He only gained his when Charby insisted he needed one and suggested the name of the moon god Menulis.
  • Never Learned to Read: Charby uses food as a motivator to teach Menu how to read after he mistakes rat poison for candy.
  • The Nose Knows: As a werewolf he has a heightened sense of smell.
  • Official Couple: With Claire
  • Older Than They Look: Not as extreme as most of the other inhabitants of the cabin but his aging has been slowed by his werewolfism.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: He is always wolfed out, implied to be because of how badly hurt he was by the werewolf who changed him.
  • Parental Abandonment: He was told that he had been found left in the trash as an infant, whether this is true and what happened to his birth parents has been left unconfirmed.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts: When he's with Claire, it especially grates on Tony and Rosemary.
  • To Serve Man: He will honestly eat anything if it sits still long enough and he's hungry but this only really comes up during the full moon since he'd prefer not to eat people, human or otherwise.
  • Trash of the Titans: What the cabin looked like with Menu as the sole occupant, Charby initially suspected Menu was giving him room free of rent in exchange for cleaning it up.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: His reaction to the smell of the monster from the garbage pit.

     Zeno

A Scotodino who was living in a delicate and oft broken 'house' made out of sticks when Menu ran into him in the woods, it was his advice that led Menu to approach Charby.      Kavonn

Kavonn Lee McNixon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kavonn_by_amelius.jpg
Kavonn is unimpressed
Height has little to do with conscience.

A warlock with a portal in his hat who lives in the shed. He moved to the cabin to report on the goings on there to King Samrick.

Warlock, not a demon

  • Aesop Enforcer: Kavonn acts as one for LaBelle and finds someone to outsource the task to for Sadick.

Kavonn: It's a real shame Hydrangea, that your lovely body did not come equipped with a functioning brain.
  • The Dreaded: To LaBelle and Sadick
  • Expressive Hair: As a side effect of his Prehensile Hair his hair twists and kinks when he's upset or surprised, it's most noticeable when he's angry.
  • Eye Scream: His lower lids look like they are torn because they are.
  • Game Master: For the RPG Crispo, Phineas and Foomy play.
  • Gentleman Wizard: The most polite and gentlemanly member of the household Kavonn is possibly also the most magically powerful.
  • Locked into Strangeness: His hair was not always grey. It was actually brown as a human and turned jet black after his hat altered him to her liking and turned grey due to his overuse of magic.
  • Magic Hat: His top hat has some form of consciousness and an inter-dimensional portal.
  • Magic Staff: He requires his large gold staff to channel and use his magic outside of his Prehensile Hair.
  • Mental World: Kavonn likes to make his more literal than it needs to be.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Pale pink ones.
  • Prehensile Hair: He can move his hair, including facial hair.
  • Pull a Rabbit out of My Hat: Kavonn’s hat is infested with an endless supply of jackalopes.
  • Rapid Hair Growth: LaBelle and Sadick try cutting his hair to complete disarming him while he's unconscious. It doesn't last long.
  • The Reliable One: Regularly saves other characters and can be asked for help with a wide variety of things though he'd rather not have anyone behave as though his magic is a cure-all.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Kavonn wears a fitted suit matching his grey top hat. He is incredibly flustered when he's visited when he's not had a chance to get all spruced up for the day.
  • Unusual Eyebrows: Dots when he is at rest, otherwise unusually expressive, capable of becoming jagged squiggly lines when he is irritated as an effect of his Prehensile Hair as explained here.

     Mannick

Mannick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mannick_by_amelius.jpg

  • Grotesque Cute: He has portal full of arms, tentacles and teeth on his stomach, which he pulls his hats out of.
  • The Hat Makes the Man: He generally uses his Psychometry through the use of hats and takes on aspects of the personality of a hat's owner while he is wearing it. Some of these aspects stay behind and become a part of his own personality even after he's removed the hat.
  • Meaningful Name
  • Morphic Resonance: Like all of his people, among whom the number and placement of these horns is an identifier seeing as everything else other than their eyes changes when they take on a new form, including memories.
  • Multi-Armed Multitasking: He uses his portal arms to grab things off of a shelf behind him, hold open a book and stir while making a potion.

  • Third-Person Person: Seems to be slowly growing out of referring to himself this way.

Fay Louisa Porter

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fay_by_amelius.jpg
A spoiled runaway and the only member of the household who is actually a child.

  • Bratty Half-Pint: Spoiled actual child among roommates who mostly look like children but are much older than any age a human could hope to live to.

  • Dragon Ancestry: Her non elven parent was a dragon despite her claims to the contrary.
  • Empathy Pet: Meerse, her ''monkey weasel''
  • Horned Humanoid: She has a horn which along with her single wing signal her dragon heritage.
  • Pointy Ears: Like all elves in the setting her ears are pointed.
  • Princesses Prefer Pink: This one does, even if she's wrong about being "fairy royalty".
  • Royal Brat: Her "princess complex" is due to her being the elvish princess.
  • The Runaway: She stole something from her family and ran away from home before ending up at the cabin.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Fay stole The Orb of Winter, nexus of the Kingdom of Eldenlon's power, the reason their currency has any value and the object which the King had been siphoning power from to stay alive in a move nearly guaranteed to cause at least a civil war and the fall Eldenlon to the Sidhe if news of it becomes public without appearing to have any clue of its importance.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Her sidhe laidy-in-waiting convinced her to rebel against her father by filling her head with ideas of being a "fairy princess".
  • Winged Humanoid: She only has one wing

     Phineas and Crispo

Phineas Radcliff Marlin & Crispo Reginald Esquire Feyton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1crispo.png
Crispo
Phineas: Geez, this is why Charby makes a better GM!
Crispo: Yeah Kavonn, your logic is just tainting the fantasy!

A fishboy & half dragon who are longtime friends to Kavonn.

Half-Dragon Half-Elf (Crispo)
Merman (Phineas)

  • All Men Are Perverts: Phineas plays this up, he ends up scolded by the others living in the cabin for it regularly but he is a teenager so he has time to grow out of it. His reputation helps him with his spying as he can easily get Mye to leave him on his own any time he wants.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Phineas has green scaled skin.
  • Chocolate Baby: Crispo thought he was a dragon until he stopped growing, at which point he learned he was half elf.
  • Curious as a Monkey: Phineas' reaction to being told not to mess with a potion Mye is working on is to drink some of it. He's very lucky it was a hair restoration potion though he looked ridiculous with hair.
  • Fish People: Phineas is a merman.
  • Fun T-Shirt: Crispo often wears them, such as his blue T-shirt T-shirt.
  • Height Angst: Crispo is quite upset to learn that he is half-elf as is means he is unlikely to grow any taller.
  • Hidden Depths: Both of them are helping Kavonn spy on the other people in the cabin for Samrick.
  • Horned Humanoid: Both have horns, Crispo has two large curved horns paired with a singular smaller one centered near the front of his head and Phineas has a crown of them Darth Maul style.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Crispo would really prefer to be a full dragon and was so pissed that his non-dragon heritage had been hidden from him that he left home. When playing RPGs Crispo's characters are dragons.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: They are both much younger than Kavonn. Especially noticeable in Phineas' case as Kavonn was friends with his mother when she was a child.
  • Meaningful Name: Crispo for a half-dragon.
  • Non-Mammalian Hair / Hair Reboot: Phineas gets hair temporarily after drinking a potion.
  • Odd Friendship: Crispo and Daray. Daray is from a village that hunts and kills dragons as a coming of age right and actually tried to kill Crispo the first time they met.

  • Trademark Favorite Food: Nachos for Crispo.
  • Wingding Eyes: Crispo's eyes go a bit mad at the prospect of nachos.
  • Winged Humanoid: Crispo has wings, he is a half dragon.

Reuniting with her familiars
Oh, it figures! Why would he hang out here when the TV is in the house? Hello boredom, my old friend!

An alp who moves into the shed when she comes to relive Kavonn of his spying duties for Samrick when he leaves to find the Scotodino. She ends up with the shed to herself after Daray follows Kavonn on his trip to help him since he unintentionally found out about the spying and knew where to find a rare map that will help.

     Foomy

Foomy Edvin the fourth

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1foomy.png
Foomy standing in front of Tony on the couch
A fire sprite that came through the portal in Kavonn's hat from a very different place.

Sprite

  • Author Avatar: His character in the RPG he plays with Crispo and Phineas is also fire based.
  • Breath Weapon: He can breath and burp fire.
  • Bungled Suicide: His suicide attempt is what landed him in Kavonn's hat.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Of fire, his best friend and his crush back home were also fire sprites.
  • Fish out of Water: Before falling out of Kavonn's hat he hadn't met anyone who would actually be hurt by being set on fire so when he accidentally set Menu on fire he thought the werewolf was overreacting, this is a major contributing factor to Menu's dislike of him.
  • Playing with Fire: He is a fire sprite
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: Menu does not like him or want him in the house, the only reason he's still there is because he was small enough to hide from the werewolf landlord and Claire has declared him cute.
  • Trapped in Another World: He's okay with it though, he left the dimension he was from by jumping into the portal which led to Kavonn's hat in a suicide attempt so he wasn't particularity happy there.
     Mikko

Mikko McReynolds

While he is possibly the longest term resident of the cabin most of the housemates are unaware of Mikko's presence as he is tiny and lives unobtrusively under the couch, Menu thinks Mikko is his subconsciousness due to the diminutive elfin creature trying to give him advice.

  • Lilliputians: Tiny little fellow who lives under the couch and "borrows" things like left over food to live.

Elites

     Elites in General
A powerful type of vampire that's relatively new on the scene. Older types of vampires do not get along with them, it doesn't help that an elite killed the previous vampire king. While they are functionally immortal they still come with a set of weaknesses one of which is a personalized obsession.

Tropes that apply to all of them:
  • Achilles' Heel: An "elite" weapon through the heart, and the need to count.
  • Daywalking Vampire: The only Vampire's in the setting known to have no trouble with the sunlight.
  • Healing Factor: Capable of speedy regeneration.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: One of several types in Kellwood, and functionally immortal.
  • Shapeshifting: They can make themselves appear to be different ages than they were when turned (allowing those turned as children to change into adult forms) and have a large dragonlike form they rarely use and fall into when they loose control to their bloodlust.
  • Teleportation: They can all teleport, though more than once in quick succession drains them and only Charby can bring someone else along with him when he teleports, much to the council's shock.

     Zerlocke

Seeing her did not bring me any peace! I only long to be with her MORE! My attempts to quell the flames of firey passion only bid it burn stronger, I am now nearly engulfed!

Emma

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1emma.png
greeting Charby
Tonight is a truly wonderful occasion, my elite brothers and sisters! We are honored with the presence of Charby, our lost brother, we welcome him to to bosom of our Elite collective!

Head and founder of the elite's Council she's been searching for Charby for a long time and seems to have had a past with Cyril.

  • Council of Vampires: She runs it and is the one coming up with their goals.
  • Fantastic Racism: After forcing Zeno to stay in a meeting where he is obviously uncomfortable and specifically requests Charby to knock him out when he feels like something is not right she calls him a "little beast" and requests that "someone kill it" when he blows up Charby's head, though after Charby knocks Zeno out. Charby takes a knocked out Zeno with him and flips her off in response when he teleports home.
  • The Leader: Of the vampire council.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: A cyan shade near aquamarine.
  • Older Than They Look / Really 700 Years Old: While her true age is unknown she personally knew Cyril and speaks like they were peers.
  • Regal Ringlets: Her reddish hair is curled in ringlets.

     Nikodemus

Nikodemus Visser

Most vampires are fond of their sires! How could any of us [have] known otherwise?

A high ranking vampire on the elite's council with a crush on Vita. He was placed in charge of the Staff of Oswego before it was given to Charby and Dinora's Axe after Zerlocke recovered it. He returned the axe to Zerlocke in secret as he disagreed with his superiors' decision.

  • Cannot Spit It Out: He keeps delaying informing Vita of his feelings for her, her annoyance with his hesitation eventually leads her to turn her attention to Quixoto.
  • Freudian Slip:
Nikodemus: It's apparent that asking Samrick for the use of his castle was not...
    * Vita walks by
Nikodemus: ... in our breast interest.
    • Verbal Backspace: leading to
Oh no, I did not say that, that did not just come out of my mouth...I said BEST just like I meant to...
  • Horned Humanoid: His horns match his eyes
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Dark red
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He is terrified of dogs.

You stay over there! My boyfriend will KILL YOU if you get near me!

     Gable

I would suggest that if you like having your thumbs bend the natural way, you will let us take care of him now.

A large vampire Emma seems to turn to when she need muscle or intimidation.

A pink haired elite vampire that tried to flirt with Victor at the party in Samrick's castle before everything went pear shaped.

The Deep Woods

Demon Kingdom and the -Grand Kingdoms-

     King Samrick

Samrick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samrick_by_amelius.jpg
Mini Samrick
I used to be a little fish in a big pond too. But sometimes... little fish are piranhas waiting to bite.

Demon King Samrick is a powerful monarch in Kellwood Forest, ruling over most of the other kingdoms in the forest. He is also Charby's oldest friend.

Demon

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Has a reputation as an irresponsible ladies man but is very well informed about what is happening in his kingdom and the surrounding ones and is able to say that he is the reason there even still is an elf kningdom to the elvish prince's face without getting an argument.
  • Fun Size: He can shrink down to a much less intimidating size.
  • The High King: He is High King to Kellwood's Grand Kingdoms which he organized after conquering Kellwood in order to rule easier and stamp out small fiefdoms. The Alliance are his allies and pay him tithes, consisting of three Kingdoms, those of the elves, ash trolls, and dragons that were powerful enough to resist becoming part of his Grand Kingdom and maintain their independance when he was taking control of Kellwood.
  • Homoerotic Subtext: Samrick will play up any kind of subtext to make others uncomfortable, especially if he's trying to get them to reveal something as is the case with Sadick.
  • Large and in Charge: He is the largest character by far in his default size.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Red ones
  • Monstrous Cannibalism: He'll happily eat his own subjects, especially if they're already dead and in his palace.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: He has four arms
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: He prefers to be underestimated and plays up his horndog image in public.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Fluffy with pointy fangs, four red horns, four arms (two of which are refered to as 'nipple arms'), wings, red claws, a tufted tail and the ability to shift into a miniature version of himself.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: In his shrunken form.
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: He makes a rule that there is to be no killing or eating of fellow guests at a party, he then proceeds to eat a number of guests that K'ale killed to Arista's horror.
So what? The party is over!
  • Sizeshifter: As stated above
  • The Usurper: He didn't even have to kill the old king to take his throne and vastly expand the kingdom. As a matter of fact the old king now rules over Eshanival which is known as the lesser Demon Kingdom in comparison with the Greater Demon Kingdom and the Grand Kingdoms over which Samrick rules.

     Benito

Benito "Benny"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/benito.png
Benny at Samrick's castle
I have a message, and if you are going to lay there and cower the whole time I'm just gonna eat you. Understand?

King Samrick's personal messenger Benito has the outward appearance of a large green Tyrannosaurus Rex with eerie pale eyes, when he opens his mouth to speak and deliver messages it does little to make him less uncanny as he has second head inside the first where a tongue might be expected.

  • Courier: He delivers messages for Samrick, by carrying them in a pouch inside his second mouth.
  • Glowing Eyes: All four of Benito's eyes are a softly glowing white.
  • Nested Mouths: A giant hamster's head inside the dinosaur's mouth.
  • Our Monsters Are Weird: While at first he just seems to be a very lost dinosaur when he opens his mouth it becomes surprisingly apparent that this is not the case.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Hilariously when Samrick requires him to wear formal attire Benito finds it quite simple to comply; by wearing nothing but a bowtie which Samrick agrees is a sharp and formal outfit.
  • Voice of the Legion: When Benito talks it's in a doubled voice, indicated by the words being overlaid on top of themselves.

    Arista

Arista

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arista.png
I ...really upset him before this, I feel partially responsible for him. He's the last of his kind! Can we observe some lenience? He though I was a lemuro ...Samrick, am I a lemuro?

A lemuro who was raised in King Samrick's court and works for him as an adult. She never knew that she was a lemuro or even that there was a name for her people as she did not see any others until she met K'ale at a party.

Lemuro

  • Animal Eyes: Orange and yellow eyes with slit pupils.
  • Bitch Slap: She delivers one to K'ale when he excitedly runs up and glomps her while yammering about lemuro's and being so glad he's not the only one left and then mentions her marvelous tail. She had never heard of lemuros or met him before so he really shouldn't have been touching her and she did not realize he was talking about her literal tail.
  • Elemental Powers: All lemuros have the magic ability to control a certain element, she has never discovered hers as she was unaware of this.
  • Last-Minute Reprieve: She tries to get this for K'ale after learning his story but he did very publicly murder a bunch of people in Samrick's castle even if his reason is understandable and Samrick can't just let him get away with it. He ends up having his bail paid very quickly by someone who decides this means she now owns him and can give him as a gift to the vampires. All Arista can manage is to get him his father's pelt which was being worn by one of his victims.
  • Last of Her Kind: She is one of only three known surviving lemuros and the only female. The other two are a toddler and a man closer to her age who is very heavily implied to be asexual.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Her ears are positioned and shaped like narrow cat ears, and she has a long striped fuzzy tail and orangish eyes with slit pupils.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: King Samrick is aware that she's a lemuro, and that the new fashionable boas so many of his courtiers are wearing are lemuro tails that represent a massacre of her people but does not inform her since he has allot of other things on his plate and can't afford to take care of a species that isn't able to defend itself and isn't established yet in Kellwood. She's under his protection anyway.
  • Single Specimen Species: What Arista grew up thinking herself to be before learning that she is a lemuro, a species that has been almost completely wiped out by the vampires with their pelts sold as magical fashion accessories.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: She grew up thinking she was one of the strange unique creatures that emerge from the bogs alone in the world without a species, and then learned that she is instead one of only three lemuros who managed to avoid the massacre when Rodericke figured out that killing them and wearing their tails gave the wearer access to magic.
  • Unusual Ears: Hers are positioned and shaped sort of like horse ears.

     La Belle

LaBelle

Click here to see her after Kavonn's curse has had an effect.
I'm not even getting paid to help you, you better watch it!

A self-centered teenage welf who joined her crush Leonard's pack after helping him steal things in the Demon Market.

Elf "Welf"

  • Black-Tie Infiltration: To get into the party at Samrick's palace.
  • Bound and Gagged: Kavonn uses his hair to keep her from fleeing or attacking him when he is deciding how he should respond to her theft of his staff. He uses his hair to restrain her again when she and Sadick attack him at the party in Samrick's palace.
  • Bullying a Dragon: The second time she attacks Kavonn she really should have known better.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Jealous of the attention Bunny (Mye) gets.
  • Justified Criminal: She starts out in a pack that's turned to thievery as it's the only way they know to keep themselves fed. It is perhaps less justified for her than her packmates since she ran away from a well off and loving family to hang out with them.
  • Karmic Transformation: She uses Kavonn's stolen staff to make herself look more like the girl her crush seems interested in, so after she attacks him a second time Kavonn curses her to transform based on her actions.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Kavonn's curse on her described above.
  • Little Bit Beastly: One of her transitional phases under Kavonn's curse.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: A welf trait, though she gains red slit pupils under Kavonn's curse.
  • Mugging the Monster: She steals Kavonn's staff
  • Our Elves Are Different: She is a welf, meaning wolf-elf.
  • Pointy Ears: Being a welf means she starts out with animal ears, she alters their shape a little when she uses magic to give herself a makeover but eventually Kavonn's curse on her leaves her with more elf-like ones, like her ancestors would have had before they were cursed into welves in the first place.
  • Punished with Ugly: Kavonn curses her so that good deeds will make her more pretty and evil/bad ones will make her more monstrous.
  • The Runaway: She left her parents to follow her crush Leonard as a child. It's been implied her family was well off and she was very spoilt and Cutter and Leonard's way of life looked like an adventure to her.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: When she’s with Sadick and K'ale, and her former pack started out with just herself Cutter and Leonard.
  • Unusual Ears: She has wolf ears as a welf.

     Sadick

Sadick Palmer Porter

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sadick_by_amelius.jpg
Considering his options
Things like this are the reason I prefer to -not- be sober!

An elf bounty hunter who is searching for his runaway sister.

Half Elf, Half Dragon

  • The Alcoholic: Sadick’s mangled ear and missing eye occurred in bar fights and he eventually had to leave his home in a drunken haze.
  • Assassination Attempt: Sadick's half-brother Mel was assassinated by a fairy when mistaken for Sadick in a bar and Sadick lost his eye in the aftermath of the attack.
  • The Atoner: He is a disgraced prince searching for his sister and the powerful magical artifact which she stole.
  • Black-Tie Infiltration: To get into the party at Samrick's palace when he sees that his sister is attending.
  • Body Double: His doesn't wear an eyepatch for some reason.
  • Bound and Gagged: Kavonn uses his hair to ensure Sadick can't use his gun or get in the way while he is thinking of an appropriate punishment for LaBelle's theft and again for attacking Kavonn at the party in Samrick's palace.
  • Bullying a Dragon: He draws his gun on Kavonn knowing that he is a powerful warlock.
  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Thinking King Samrick is mismanaging his kingdom causes Sadick to rant about it his face. Twice.
  • Eye Scream: Accidentally loges a toothpick in someone's eye when they startle him, he also lost one of his eyes in a barfight.
  • Fantastic Racism: Towards demons and rat elves.
  • Horned Humanoid: His pair of black horns indicate his dragon heritage.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He is a rude, grumpy alcoholic who's willing to fight for his friends. He just won't be happy about it.
  • King Incognito: He is an elvish prince.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: He wants to fight for the people, he just thinks the woods are overrun with murderous demons.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Kavonn gives him to a small demon to act as his companion and teach him to get over his prejudices.
  • Little Guy, Big Buddy: His best friend Breck is from a much taller type of elf, though they have not seen each other for years following a certain incident that left Sadick thinking Breck to be dead.
  • Oral Fixation: He usually has a toothpick.
  • Pointy Ears: Like all elves seen in Kellwood.
  • Redemption Quest: Sadick’s search for his runaway sister and the Orb of Winter which she stole.
  • True Companions: Eventually with K'ale and LaBelle.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: When he’s with K'ale and LaBelle.

     Rose Sisters

Rosered, Rosewood, Rosebud, Roseanne, Roslynne, Rosa, Rosita, Rosemary & Rosey.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rose_sisters_by_amelius.jpg
Roslynne | Rosewood
Rosa | Rosered
Rosita | Roseanne
Not pictured: Rosebud, Rosemary and Rosey
Rosa: There must be other "lesser" demons such as we, whose lives have been torn assunder by the vampire kingdom! We must convince them to join us the rise against!

A group of nine young Orycalope girls King Samrick hired as guards as a joke, though they are more competent than expected.

Orycalope

  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: When Jozk asks them to take his soul before expiring Rosewood finds a nearby butterfly which Rosa immediately accepts as his soul. Rosebud actually guesses the correct item for containing his soul but gets shot down as trying to loot his corpse.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Roslynne and Rosita have blonde hair and yellow eyes, Rosa has hair orangeish blondeish hair and yellow eyes.
  • Dying Race: They are survivors of the Orycalope massacre and do not know of any male Orycalope survivors.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Rosebud and Rosey have no discernible pupils, which is odd for characters in the setting without monochrome eyes but not so much for maturing and adult orycalopes for whom this is a species trait.
  • Fiery Redhead: The redheaded Rosa is the most excitable of the group.
  • Graceful Ladies Like Purple: Rosey, one of the more reserved and intelligent members of the group as she and Rosebud are the two eldest, wears purple in most of her appearances, though blue to Charby's party. Rosebud herself has a nice simple purple dress with matching gloves for berry picking.
  • Hired for Their Looks: Not because they are attractive but because they look like tiny harmless children yet are unexpectedly strong and have sharp retractable claws. Samrick thinks it’s funny to have them as guards.
  • The Leader: Rosa gives them rousing speeches on their goals as a group but decisions seem to be made by multiple group members and she is far from the eldest member of the group, just the most excitable.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Bunny ears but mostly humanoid in appearance.
  • MacGuffin Escort Mission: Jozk asks them to complete his quest to get the snathe of the Demon Scythe to Zeno.
  • Meaningful Name: Rosered has deep red hair.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: All but Rosebud and Rosey have monochromatic eyes which is a sign of youth for orycalopes. Roslynne, Rosita and Rosa have yellow eyes, Rosemary, Rosered and Roseanne have white eyes and Rosewood has blue ones.
  • Playboy Bunny: They are bunny demons
  • Quirky Curls: Roslynne has very curly hair and while not terribly quirky when compared to the other Rose Sisters she and the rest are quite quirky when compared to those outside the group.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: They all look quite nice at Samrick's party despite their ragged appearance previously and Rosered's outfit when they are picking berries later on is striking despite it's simplicity. All of them appear to have started better grooming themselves and wearing nicer clothes at that point, though Rosemary and Rosey have not been seen since the party.
  • Theme Naming: They all have rose in their names.
  • There Can Be Only One: Rose sister Rosemary has this reaction upon meeting Rosemary Petrucci, ultimately subverted as the other Rose Sisters prevent her from attacking. As an elite Petrucci is immortal anyway.
  • Thinking Out Loud: Rosebud says what she's thinking to herself or by addressing inanimate objects and the dead when she's away from the group, especially when she's frustrated.
  • True Blue Femininity: Some of them are fond of blue, especially when dressing up, probably in an attempt to evoke the trope. The lot of them are aggressive and much stronger than they appear with impulse control issues so it is ultimately subverted.

     K'ale

K'ale

It is what I can work with. All lemuros have natural magic but limited to certain elements... I can control blood, I can even revive the dried and old stuff. [sic] Kinda gross, but that is what I ended up with.

A lemuro who is hunting down and killing anyone he perceives as a hunter in revenge for the decimation of his people.

Lemuro

  • Barbarian Longhair: A demon who hates shirts, prefers to wear a loincloth and go barefoot and is trying to kill anyone he comes across that looks big and strong who keeps his purple hair long and loose.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Towards his baby brother Bojo.
  • Blood Magic: His magic is blood manipulation.
    • Bloody Murder: He uses his magic to kill a group of individuals at Samrick's party when he spots one of their number wearing part of his murdered father as a scarf.
  • Disguised in Drag: In order to sneak into a party at the Demon King’s palace.
  • Heroic BSoD: He snaps when he comes across a party goer wearing part of his deceased father.
  • Last of His Kind: As far as he can tell he and Bojo are the last lemuros left alive.
  • Little Bit Beastly: His ears are positioned and shaped like narrow cat ears, and he has a long fuzzy tail and slit pupils.
  • Made a Slave: After being imprisoned by King Samrick his bail is paid by Ervain so she can gift him to Roderick.
  • Misplaced Retribution: He is trying to kill anyone that is not a lemuro and looks like a powerful hunter for killing off his people when it appears most of the killing was done by diminutive Rat Elves and was ordered by Rodericke.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: When he’s with Sadick and LaBelle.
  • Unusual Ears: His are positioned and shaped like animal ears.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: K’ale doesn't care for shirts.

    Bojo

Bojo

K'ale's little brother who got separated from him and ended up being taken in by Leonard and his pack of homeless welf children.

Lemuro

  • Animal Eyes: Coppery and red eyes with slit pupils.
  • Children Are Innocent: Amusingly gets to operate on this when all human children shown have played up annoying traits or are outright cruel brats bordering on Enfante Terrible.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Bojo has red eyes, red hair, a red and black striped tail and red tips to his ears, toes and fingers.
  • Elemental Powers: All lemuros have the magic ability to control a certain element, he is not old enough to have developed his yet.
  • Last of His Kind: As far as he knows he and his brother are the last lemuros left alive.
  • Little Bit Beastly: His ears are positioned and shaped like narrow cat ears, and he has a long striped fuzzy tail and red eyes with slit pupils.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Bojo has just about perfected this, even if it was done unintentionally.
  • Tragic Keepsake: When he goes with LaBelle and Sadick to visit his brother in jail K'ale gives him his father's tail.
  • Unusual Ears: His are positioned and shaped sort of like narrow cat ears.

hanging by a thread
Please give me a chance! [sic] Send me to him now! He is mine to teach, and he must learn his first lesson!

A small spiderlike fairy-demon who was given Sadick to train him not jump to conclusions about demons and be more kind by Kavonn. She is well spoken and is the only character who never symbol swears as she never curses whatsoever.

Spiderlike Fay

  • Aesop Enforcer: Kavonn gives her Sadick so that she might fill this role and she takes to her new student very quickly.
  • Badass Teacher: When Sadick LaBelle and Bojo are ambushed by some welves and skzzldrix whose had lost companions to the group wielding guns she takes out one of them.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: She has a powerful paralyzing sting.
  • Cute Monster Girl: A tiny one.
  • Our Demons Are Different / Our Fairies Are Different: A small spiderlike fey from another dimension with arms that split in two at the elbow, spider legs on her back, a tail that produces both silken web and a paralytic, four eyes, and grasping feet.
  • Extra Eyes: She has four eyes
  • Fairy Companion: She hangs out on Sadick's head to train him to be a better person, however she sees him as a pet in need of training.
  • Good Is Not Dumb: A lesson she intends to impart to Sadick.
  • Good Is Not Soft:
    I am not helpless!
  • Handy Feet: She can use her feet to hold on to her silken web, Daray's shirt and her current ''pet's'' head.
  • Head Pet: Inverted Trope She is sitting on her pet's head
  • The Paralyzer: She is able to paralyze those much larger than herself, as Sadick and LaBelle quickly learn.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She is unaffected by Sadick flicking her from her post and takes out both him and LaBelle with ease.
  • Pointy Ears: She has pointed ears.
  • Spider Limbs: As well as arms which split to allow for four hands she has spider limbs on her back which she uses to knit and shape her web.

HEY NEWBIE! JOIN US FOR BREAKFAST!

A calico cat youkai working for King Samrick as part of his Royal Justiciars. Her twin brother hangs around her though he is not on the team.

Youkai

  • Animal Eyes: Yellow cat eyes.
  • Cat Folk: She and her brother appear to be a species of youkai resembling calico Japanese Bobtail cats, though her brother has a noticeably long tail.
  • Faux Flame: The blue fire on her skeletal right arm does not burn her or her clothes.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: The Royal Justiciars have white uniforms with golden buttons trim and a short gold cape.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Borderline Little Bit Beastly with an animal accented face and wavy calico hair and fur.
  • No Indoor Voice: A borderline case, somewhat mixed with a less discerning filter than most put their thoughts through before letting them spill out of their mouth as words.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: Her uniform is missing its right sleeve, probably because her right arm is a flaming blue skeletal phantom limb.
  • Suddenly Shouting: She gets a lot louder very quickly if she wants to talk to someone a bit further away even if they were already in hearing distance.
  • Unusual Ears: Cat ears.
  • Youkai: She and her brother are cat youkai, though not Nekomata seeing as they don't have split tails. Her tail is bobbed and not as visible as her brother's long one.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_simon.png
Let me just say, it is such an honor to have someone who believes in real justice on our team!

A reserved earnest retainer working for King Samrick as part of his Royal Justiciars.

Orycalope

  • Exotic Eye Designs: He has no discernible pupils, which seems to be a trait of adult orycalopes as they start out their lives with monochrome eyes that slowly change to gain visible sclera as they physically mature.
  • Expressive Ears: His tall ears twitch and move in reaction to his emotions.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Like all Orycalopes he is looks like a human with bunny ears.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: The Royal Justiciars have white uniforms with golden buttons & trim and a short gold cape.
  • Punny Name / Shout-Out: Simon Echo, a bunny demon for '80s band Echo and the Bunnymen. His name is also useful for "Simon Says" puns.
  • Super-Senses: Those ears of his are not just for show, he has excellent hearing.
  • Unusual Ears: Of the bunny variety

    Ezri

Ezri

WHOA! Weren't you a woman last time I saw you?

A merchant with a stall in the demon market who has poor eyesight and a short sature.

  • Blade Below the Shoulder: On his spider-like limbs coming out of his back which are naturally tipped with large blades.
  • Blind Without 'Em: Ezri makes the mistake of letting a disguised K'ale make off with his glasses at the party in Samrick's castle which ensures he won't be able to recognize K'ale later on in the night.
  • Gossipy Hens: Ezri is always eager to share the latest gossip, and behaves like everyone else is too leading him to act like he's amongst gossipy hens in most of his interactions regardless of how those he's talking to react.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: His eyes are a solid pale yellow tint.
  • Spider Limbs: Ezri has four spindly limbs coming out of his back that are tipped with foot long blades which he can use to stand on if he wants to be taller.
  • Unusual Ears: Ezri has oversized droopy ears capable of a little bit of swiveling a like a cat's with black pointed tips.

     Perrdinal

Perrdinal

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/perrdinal.jpg
By the way, when you are done brainwashing your brother, don't forget to remind him he shops here. I can't just lose my best costumer now! Take care, Rosemary!

Cat-like potions shopkeeper in the Demon Market whose store is frequented by Mye and Zerlocke.

Cat

  • Cat Folk: He is a human sized bipedal orange cat with a cousin who is also a bipedal cat and has been seen with a girl who fits the bill as well.
  • Cats Are Magic: Strangely he just refers to himself as a cat, not any type of other magical being, just a cat. Considering that there are some youkai in Kellwood it's possible he's just a very old cat.
  • Cats Are Snarkers: He tends to be quite snarky, and likes to get in the last word with a smirk as someone is walking out the door.
  • Collared by Fashion: He wears a belled collar like a tie, with a matching belled accessory on his tail. This does not interfere with his ability to sneak up on people.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He will cheerfully snark at his customers' expense.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: His eyes are at first appearance yellow cat eyes with slit pupils. It's just that his pupils are somehow pink with a dark outline.
  • Eye of Newt: Basically everything he sells falls into this category or is a completed potion.
  • Friend in the Black Market: Mye, Zerlocke, Rosemary and Claire don't seem to be aware of Perrindal's less legal acquisitions and sales but he unquestionably serves as a relatively friendly connection to the black market for others.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: At least one of his after hours customers came by to purchase a sealed bottle of Fiend's Essence, which invariably escapes when the bottle is dropped then builds itself a new body with a drop of werewolf blood and starts plotting.

     Leonard

Leonard

It's raining, and you look tired. You can rest at our place for a while!

A packless welf who started his own little pack with other runaways and homeless young welfs when he was still a pup.

Welf

  • The Artful Dodger: As a child Leonard and his best friend Cutter were satisfied as homeless thieves and refused to become a part of any established packs as Leonard didn't want to have to deal with their rules and being told what to do.
  • Justified Criminal: He doesn't know of any other way to survive.
  • Lovable Rogue: He's a criminal but he's basically stealing to survive and runs an unofficial orphanage / Run Away Hide Away for kids who need a place to stay.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: A welf trait, his are blue.
  • Parental Abandonment: He keeps his past to himself, even Cutter doesn't know how Leonard's story started. By the time LaBelle met him he and Cutter were kids living on their own and stealing from the Demon Market to live.
  • Parental Substitute: Leonard becomes this this to the kids he takes in, while his first two packmates grew up with him and help him run things he and Cutter look out for and protect the kids.
  • Our Elves Are Different: He is a welf, meaning wolf-elf. Wolf elves are descended from elves, and they are covered in fur, with clawed paws, tails, and wolf ears.
  • Rescue Introduction: He, Cutter and LaBelle first meet Mye when she's been cornered by a giant blue canine monster which they kill.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: For a long time his "pack" consisted of himself Cutter and LaBelle.

    Cutter

Cutter

What, you didn't find it odd that he was making direct eye contact with you this whole time?!

Leonard's second in command and oldest friend who was stealing things from the Demon Market with him when the two of them were just homeless pups.

Welf

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: The reason Cutter is called that is because his claws are unusually long and sharp.
  • The Artful Dodger: As a child Cutter was satisfied as a homeless thief and refused to become a part of any established packs as he and Leonard didn't want to have to deal with their rules and being told what to do.
  • Brutal Honesty: To the point the sometimes Leonard wraps his hand around his muzzle and tells him to be quiet in mid sentence in order to prevent him from offending people, which is something Cutter normally only really does with people he's upset with.
  • Justified Criminal: He doesn't know of any other way to survive.
  • Lovable Rogue: He's a criminal but he's basically stealing to survive and helps Leonard run an unofficial orphanage / Run Away Hide Away for kids who need a place to stay.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: A welf trait, his are brown.
  • Number Two: He is Leonard's second in command in their little pack.
  • Parental Abandonment: By the time LaBelle met him he and Leonard were kids living on their own and stealing from the Demon Market to live.
  • Our Elves Are Different: He is a welf, meaning wolf-elf.
  • Rescue Introduction: He, Leonard and LaBelle first meet Mye when she's been cornered by a giant blue canine monster which he disemboweled.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: For a long time his "pack" consisted of himself Leonard and LaBelle.

     Gramston

Gramston

Gramston with employees in the Demon Market
So... we shall have ample time to negotiate the proper compensation for my considerable effort on your behalf, Mister Cusick?

A man of questionable moral fiber operating out of the Demon Market with a number of employees.

Skzzledrix

Onekamari Village

     Mr. & Mrs. Cusick

Mayor Cusick & Cynara Cusick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1mayor.png
Mr. Cusick
We don't want this mistake! You leave him here, and as far as I'm concerned, he's pig feed. I have no son.

The parents of Daray and Darryn. Mr. Cusick is the mayor of their small literally one horse mining town.

Onekamari

  • Absolute Xenophobe: While all Onekamari are indoctrinated to hate dragons from an early age Mr. Cusick hates everything else living in Kellwood Forest too and is known to never leave the village in order to avoid dealing with anyone that's not an Onekamari. Until he goes to the Demon Market to put up a Wanted Poster to better the chances of Daray being killed.
  • Abusive Parents: Daray was sent on his dragon hunt in hopes that he wouldn't return and his parents eventually issue a kill on sight bounty on him.
  • Aggressive Categorism: When a young Daray asks about the possibility of a good dragon he's informed that there is no such thing, but when he asks what makes them all bad he's just told that they are with no explanation or examples.
  • Asshole Victim: It's hard to feel bad for them when Daray burns down their house as a birthday present to himself.
  • Blush Sticker: An Onekamari trait.
  • Country Mouse: The Onekamari are intentionally cut off from humans and other cultures in the woods to the point that Daray never even considers it a possibility that his father posted and wanted posters outside the village.
  • Fantastic Racism: Their entire village towards dragons, Mayor Cusick towards everything outside of their village though still most strongly towards dragons.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: What finally got Daray disowned was his father thinking he'd gotten a sex change, in response his dad threw Daray's things at him including bladed weapons that stabbed into him and could have easily killed him. He later puts a kill on sight bounty on Daray but that was in response to Daray setting the house on fire.
  • Horned Humanoid: A trait of all Onekamari.
  • I Have No Son!: Said word for word when Kavonn tries to force Daray to return home after the later is badly injured.
  • Mayor Pain: The mayor is xenophobic and transphobic running a society which routinely murders another sentient species. He is also an abusive father to Daray.
  • Offing the Offspring: They have put a kill on sight bounty on Daray, his father even left the village to put up a bounty poster in the Demon Market and he hates non-onekamari.
  • Parental Favoritism: They preferred Darryn.
  • All Women Love Shoes: Cynara's main concern when the house is burning is her shoes.
     Darryn

Darryn Cusick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1dar.png
Darryn

Daray's dead older brother who was like a mentor to him and was favored by their parents.

Onekamari

  • Affectionate Nickname: Darryn called Daray "Rayray".
  • Aggressive Categorism: When a young Daray asks Darryn about the possibility of a good dragon he's informed that there is no such thing, but when he asks what makes them all bad he's just told that they are with no explanation or examples.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Darryn was one for Daray, he taught his little brother all sorts of things and they were researching lost Onekamari magic together before he died.
  • Blush Sticker: An Onekamari trait.
  • Chick Magnet: Daray describes him as becoming very popular with the village ladies after his successful dragon hunt.
  • Don't Tell Papa: Darryn tells Daray the truth about his dragon hunt after swearing him to secrecy and told Daray never to let their father hear him talking in such a way when a very young Daray asks if he could be friends with a good dragon.
  • The Dragonslayer: Killing a dragon is a traditional coming of age rite in their village though it has become more difficult in modern times.
  • Fantastic Racism: Their entire village towards dragons, Darryn does not question it at all and laughs at a young Daray questioning if there could be a "good dragon" saying the only such thing is a dragon steak.
  • A Hero to His Hometown: Darryn for killing a dragon. As dragons are a sentient race this is equal to murder to many though the Onekamari are not alone in their hatred of them.
  • Horned Humanoid: A trait of all Onekamari, Darryn's were a dusty blue.
  • In the Back: Darryn completed his dragon hunt by sneaking up on and killing a sleeping dragon.
  • Kick Them While They Are Down: The dragon Darryn killed was elderly as well as sleeping.
  • Not the Fall That Kills You…: Daray fell and Darryn jumped from the same height, it's just that Daray landed in the river and Darryn landed headfirst on a rock.
  • Parental Favoritism: Their parents preferred Darryn.
  • Posthumous Character: Darryn is only seen in Daray's flashbacks.
     Torie

Torie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1torie.png
Darryn's girlfriend who is much closer to her dead boyfriend's family than his little brother is.

Onekamari

  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: She claims she always liked bad boys and is interested in Daray after he burned down the mayor's house to try and get Daray to drop his guard but he doesn't buy it for a minute. After all Darryn was never a "bad boy".
  • Black Eyes of Crazy: Like all Onekamari her sclera are black, more unique to her is that she blames her dead boyfriend's little brother for his death since he died trying to save him and wants to see the boy dead for it.
  • Blatant Lies: She tells Daray that the village is practically empty when it is in fact bustling in an attempt to get him to drop his guard and make a fatal mistake.
  • Blush Sticker: An Onekamari trait.
  • Horned Humanoid: A trait of all Onekamari.
  • Misplaced Retribution: She blames Daray for Darryn's death since Darryn cracked his head open jumping into a river needlessly to save Daray who had fallen and missed the rocks.
  • Pointy Ears: Onekamari have large pointed ears.
  • So Much for Stealth: When Daray attempts to sneak back through the villiage after punching her and jumping out the window she yells out his location to the whole villiage since she just wants him dead and doesn't necessarily want the bounty for herself.

Seelie Court

     King Jonquil

Fairy King Jonquil

The fey king. His children both partake in little transgressions designed to rebel against him, but seem to want to strengthen his kingdom anyway as it is their own possible inheritance. Little is known about him, as it is unclear how much of his daughter's plotting is her own and how much is in support of his own plans, but he does seem to understand better than her just how bad an idea it is to make an enemy of Kavonn.

  • The Ghost: He's been talked about plenty, in several different works in the 'verse, but never seen.

     Princess Ervain

Princess Ervaine

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ervain_by_amelius.jpg
How dare you speak to me like that, peasant! Do you know who I am?

A fairy princess who has tried to steal Kavonn's staff in the past but was rebuked by her father.

  • Aristocrats Are Evil: While she seems like she might just be a spoiled brat in her first appearance she quickly follows that up with paying for K'ale’s bail and tying to get him to have sex with her in the carriage on her way to give him to King Rodericke, the man responsible for the near extermination of K'ale’s race, as a gift. She's then offended when K'ale doesn't show her any appreciation for this or any interest in her sexually and informs him that she's going to have his friends killed and his infant brother enslaved for his escape attempt.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: The Seelie Court may be the "good fairies" of Kellwood but they still retain very noticeable elements of The Fair Folk and Ervain is honestly unable to understand why someone would turn down a roll in the hay if it's something they enjoy, even if the someone in question is someone she's kidnapped and enslaved. She is after all slave to her impulses.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Red hair and eyes
  • Facial Markings: Has a curved mark under her right eye
  • Fantastic Racism: She refers to a welf lady as a hairy dog girl. After K'ale turns down her advances and clues into where she is trying to take him she calls him a dumb |frecking animal and a stupid monkey.
  • From a Certain Point of View: When K'ale accuses her of lying she points out that she never said where they were going, just didn't correct the assumptions of others.
  • The Fair Folk: She is princess to Kellwood's Seelie Court.
  • Kick the Dog: Constantly. She considers everyone her inferior, save perhaps her father, and all fairies to be peasant slaves that she can order to do whatever she pleases regardless of how dangerous it may be. She treats other races worse when not trying to butter an individual up.
  • Pointy Ears: Her ears are pointed.
  • Royal Blood: Princess of the Seelie Court.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She does do things, they just are not particularly good things. For anyone. For instance, hiring bounty hunters to attack three people who had been King Samrick's guests within spitting distance of his castle while they were leaving it. This alone is enough to make him angry but to top it off one of those individuals is the rightful heir to the throne of Eldenlon and dragon nobility to boot. So she nearly spilled twice royal blood on the doorstep of the King who rules over all of Kellwood and to whom her own court is subservient, and then told K'ale, who hates her, the information he needs to put that together if he ever escapes.
  • Spoiled Brat / Royal Brat: While her father the king has told her to back down before she expects to get her way in all things and is quick to degrade and bully fairies of lesser stature than herself.
  • Superhuman Trafficking: As King Roderick has discovered he’d rather have live lemuros instead of just their tails Ervain has decided to pay K'ale's bail so she may give K’ale to him as a gift.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Luckily Kavonn intervenes but she tries to intimidate Hex into giving her his amulet.
Hex: Oh, what now? I'm insolent because I won't let you play with my amulet? Grow up already!
    * Ervain's thoughts: He seems to be calling my bluff! Perhaps he is indeed powerful...
Hex: You try anything and I promise you will regret it, if you live to!
  • The Vamp: She's quite surprised and annoyed when K'ale doesn't jump at the chance to do her, insinuating he must be gay. She was intending their bit of fun to distract him from where she is actually taking him.
  • Well, Excuse Me, Princess!: This is K'ale's reaction to her proposing they have sex to pass the time during a carriage ride after she has been treating him like property.
  • Winged Humanoid: She has wings with eyeshapes that appear to widen when angry.

     Prince Laurel

Laurel

Haha, dancing with a commoner! This will set father off for sure, don't you think?

Ervain's younger brother Laurel has a bit of a rebellious streak, though as seen in Vagabonds it seems to be a fairly harmless one.

Fairy

     Ilex

Ilex

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ilex.png
Yes my lady

This silent armored fairy is Princess Ervain's obedient personal guard.

Fairy

  • Magic Knight: The seelie are inherent magic users and Ilex is an armor wearing pole-arm wielding member of the race.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: He does not hesitate to help Ervain capture someone to give to the Vampire King as a gift. Of course he is a fairy and morals are not really their forte.
  • Pointy Ears: His helmet is specially designed to allow his pointy ears to show while he's wearing it.
  • Punny Name: While Ilex is another name for holly it is also meant to be pronounced similarly to "Alex", as in Alex Murphy, and in combination with his modernized armor is meant to be a pun in the form of "He's Fairy Robocop".
  • The Quiet One: He mostly protects his charge and does her bidding silently, though he has been seen saying "Yes my lady".
  • Unicorn: Ilex rides a rather medieval looking one with a sharp multicolored horn.
  • Winged Humanoid: He has transparent insect-like wings.

     The Bensons

Azelea, Oleander, Hydrangea and Begonia

Tropes relating to youngest sister Azelea can be found under the Cabin in the Woods characters as she lives in the cabin.

Oleander Rathorn Benson

Well, I bet he can't use it... when he has no HEAD!

The second youngest Benson sibling and only brother, he has a flair for the dramatic.

  • Bullying a Dragon: By the third time the Bensons attack Kavonn in the comic Begonia would rather take care of her new pet than attack the powerful magic user, Oleander, who Kavonn has just turned back into a fairy, and Hydrangea attack him anyway despite knowing that he is carrying his staff.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: He is attempting to murder Kavonn over a break up his little sister has long since gotten over.
  • Forced Transformation: Kavonn inflicts this on Oleander, turning him into a jackalope twice when he refuses to learn his lesson after the first time.
  • Knight Templar Big Brother
  • Large Ham: He likes his dramatic pauses and all caps EMPHASIZING.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: After Kavonn changes him back from being a jackalope Oleander almost immediately tries to murder him. Of course Kavonn was the one that transformed him into a jackalope in the first place so it's understandable he was upset with him.
  • Worst Aid: After being stabbed in the arms by Daray he wraps his arms in bandages over his shirt.

Hydrangea Jane Benson

Heey! There was nothing over there you liar!

She is the second eldest Benson sibling and just as violent as her younger siblings though perhaps not as clever as Azelea.

  • Bullying a Dragon: By the third time the Bensons attack Kavonn in the comic Begonia would rather take care of her new pet than attack the powerful magic user, Oleander and Hydrangea attack him anyway despite knowing that he is carrying his staff.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: She is attempting to murder Kavonn over a break up her little sister has long since gotten over.
  • Dumb Blonde: Certainly, though her blue haired brother and purple haired sister are no smarter.
  • Forced into Their Sunday Best: Kavonn transforms her outfit into a Japanese Sailor Fuku schoolgirl uniform to imply a threat with his tentacle like hair.
  • Forced Transformation: Kavonn inflicts this on Hydrangea and Oleander, turning them into jackalopes.

Begonia Renee Benson

You were mean to our little sister, so we are gonna teach you a lesson!

Begonia is the eldest of the Benson siblings and the least violent, noticeably less dedicated to murdering Kavonn.

  • Blush Sticker: As with many of the supernatural creatures in Kellwood.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She keeps one of Kavonn's jackalope and finds her siblings adorable when they've been transformed into jackalopes.

Eshanival

     King Ilgram

Lesser Demon King Ilgram

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ilgram.png
Ilgram when he still ruled over Kellwood while Samrick was employed as his scribe

The King under whom Samrick once served before usurping the throne. After waging war agains Samrick Ilgram retired to Eshanival and entered an agreement with the new demon king which left him as the ruler of his ancestral home. He has recently left the day to day ruling of Eshanival to his daughter Ro due to his advanced age.

  • All There in the Manual: Ilgram appears in a single pannel while Samrick is refrencing his past but his name and parts of his past were described in the author's comment on the page and further described on the author managed wiki.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: His face is a grayish blue and the palms of his hand a rosy tan with green pads on the last digits of his clawed fingers.
  • Horned Humanoid: For a given value of "humanoid".
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: He did not take Samrick's betrayal lying down, fashioning a new pixie like race to infiltrate the Fae Kingdoms during the War of Four Summers in an attempt to retake them. If it had worked he'd have been a magical Emperor Scientist.
  • Winged Humanoid: Ilgram has purple bat like wings with multiple eyeshapes on them and much more prominent fingers than a bat, which evoke a spider's legs.

     Princess Ro

Sovereign Ro

Daughter of King Ilgram who now rules Eshanival for day to day matters though Ilgram has not yet given up the throne.

  • All There in the Manual: The fact that Ilgram has reduced his role as King and handed the reins over to his daughter has not been addressed in the comic.

     Sharister

Prince Sharister

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sharister.png
Shooow's -over- folks! -No more justice in Grutznerville today!- Clear out! Don't have to go home but ya can't stay here!

Sharister is owner of the disreputable Grutznerville, a large marketplace in Eshanival, and host of "The Prince's Justice", occasionally termed "The King's Justice" if the defendant is meant to have broken Samrick's laws, a courtroom gameshow which is set up to nearly always guarantee a horrible fate to those being judged.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Sharister's skin is grey with a few small darker grey spots on his torso and tail.
  • Bonus Space: His gameshow's spinner is almost entirely composed of deadly Whammys but it does have one very narrow slice which could result in a pardon, and one which only results in having one's hands chopped off.
  • Catchphrase: He shouts "LET JUSTICE BE DONE!" when spinning his wheel of mortality.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: His pupils are cross shaped and his irises almost seem to glow.
  • Facial Markings: Sharister has a vertical line with an downward arrow shaped terminal under both of his eyes.
  • Game Show Host: He is the jovial sadistic host of a game show which is mostly a set up for choosing the manner of public executions.
  • Hat of Authority: His purple top hat.
  • Horned Humanoid: His jewelry wrapped striped horns are visible at the back of his head below his hat.
  • Kangaroo Court: His gameshow is one. While it's unknown how guilt is proven the grand finale includes a gameshow spinner to choose the defendant's fate, most of the spinner's pie slots are for Public Executions like hanging, decapitation, being fed to a giant monster, being pressed to death, being burned at the stake, and being tossed into an iron maiden. The whole thing seems to run on a policy of All Crimes Are Equal as well.
  • No Shirt, Long Jacket: He wears an odd variation as his jacket is short enough in front that it shows a stripe of skin at the bottom but the back is tailored to cover and strap to his long tail.
  • Technicolor Eyes: His irises are yellow nearest the pupil though mostly an orangeish red and his sclera are a deep pink.

Goblin Kingdom

     Goblin Queen

The Goblin Queen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goblinqueen.png

Ruler of a Kingdom subservient to Samrick deep within Kellwood and far from any human cities. Close friends with Sovereign Ro of Eshanival.

Goblin

  • '80s Hair: Her hair is very large, feeling like an homage to a different goblin ruller.
  • All There in the Manual: While the Queen has yet to appear on pannel the author has released artwork of her with her entourage and enough information to piece together a bit about her for those who aren't lore tier Paterons.
  • Ambiguously Gay: She hasn't even appeared yet but has been described by the author as "a lover of big parties, rich feasts, and beautiful ladies."
  • Animal Eyes: Her amber eyes have horizontal rectangular pupils like a goat.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has a pair of horns that curve out of her hair towards her face beneath her ears.
  • Pimped-Out Dress: She has an elegent blue gown with black Giant Poofy Sleeves and black ribbon and lace trim.
  • Unusual Ears: Her tall pointed ears do not resemble those of any other character yet seen, even other goblins.

-The Alliance-

Eldenlon the Elven Kingdom

     King Malachai

King Malachai Porter

Spare me further shame. Your sister has stolen the Orb of Winter.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mala_9.png
The Elf King with the Orb of Winter

The Secretly Dying elvish king and father of two half dragon children at least one of whom is nobility in both Eldenlon and the Dragon Kingdom, though the nobility are more powerless figureheads in the dragons' way of running things. Malachai is trying to prevent a Civil War and Succession Crisis after his daughter recently ran away with the Orb of Winter and sending away his son years ago.

Elf

  • Abusive Parents: His reaction to his son losing an eye and witnessing his half-brother double being killed in an attempted assassination was to put him under house arrest for years, remove him from the line of succession, inform the public that he was his own disgraced double and acquired a "new face" to represent the prince.
  • Can't Argue with Elves: At least the elves themselves most certainly believe this seeing as Malachai keeps up a boundary around Eldenlon which keeps out many of Kellwood's residents and the elves consider themselves to be more civilized and less brutal than the other supernatural creatures of Kellwood.
  • Cool Crown: He has a circlet crown featuring the stylized figures of three elf goddesses with a single gem centered in a low downward facing arrow.
  • Pointy Ears: He is an elf.
  • Purpleis Powerful: Malachai is purple eyed and apparently the last full blooded elf in the elvish line for the throne and has been siphoning power from the Orb of Winter.
  • Requisite Royal Regalia: The crown of Eldenlon and the Orb of Winter serve as such for the elves. Malachai also wears richly decorated robes.

     Eldenlon's Prince

Sadick Palmer Porter

I did not cope well with Mel's death... That blade had been intended for me. Dad was furious I got my double killed. Wouldn't even tell me where Mel was buried. Locked me away until he could find a new -face- for the prince, to dispel those rumors that the prince was injured while "slumming" with commoners.

King Malachai's son who was sent away from Eldenlon after disgracing himself by being nearly assassinated while "slumming with commoners". His double still makes public appearances but the prince himself has been claimed to be his own former double to cover up the fact that he was willing to sneak out to spend time with non-nobles and removed from the line of succession.

Half Elf, Half Dragon

  • see Sadick above under Demon Kingdom

     Eldenlon's Princess

Fay Louisa Porter

King Malachai's spoit young daughter and heir to the throne who ran away from home with delusions of being a half fairy instead of half dragon.

Half Elf, Half Dragon

  • see Fay above under Cabin in the Woods

     Mel

Melalon

Half-brother to one of King Malachai's children who was hidden away from the world and used as a double for the rightful heir due to their strikingly similar appearance.

Half Elf, Half Dragon

  • Assassination Attempt: Mel was stabbed to death in an attempt on his half-brother's life as he was mistaken for him.
  • Body Double: For Prince Sadick.
  • Hidden Backup Prince/Spare to the Throne: This is hinted to be part of the reason the Eldenlon public was left unaware of Mel's existence, as should the prince have been killed Mel could have stepped into his position with no-one the wiser, and Malachai did not set about getting himself a daughter until after Mel's death.
  • Horned Humanoid: Had a pair of black horns like his half-brother.
  • Pointy Ears: Like his brother.
  • Posthumous Character: Mel has only been seen in flashbacks and spoken about by his half-brother and his half-brother's former squire. Even in the flashbacks he's been seen in he is always already dead or dying.

Tindazbeorg the Kingdom of Dragons

Silsarlfriss City the "Penny Kingdom"

    Hozbim

Hozbim

A troll from long ago in Kellwood's history who was given the nearly empty hoard of Silsarfriss, the last great dragon of Kellwood, when she left the realm as something of a joke after he unknowingly brought her a "lost treasure" of coins designed to steal her power.

Ash Troll

  • All There in the Manual: His tale was only available to Patreon patrons until a magical item based on the Troll Coins fashioned by his contemporary trolls became relevant and named in the comic at which point Amy made it publicly available and placed a link in her author's comment on the page.
  • All Trolls Are Different: In this case Hozbim's design is unquestionably inspired by John Bauer's illustrations, though his contemporary Kalvith looked quite different and is visually inspired by Brian Froud's work.
  • Horned Humanoid: While the "humanoid" bit is debatable he is a bipedal two armed individual with a pair of twisting horns.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Like many of the non human residents of Kellwood his eyes are a solid shade with no visible pupils or sclera.
  • Posthumous Character: He is considered a subject of study for Kellwood historians and hasn't been around for a very long time.
  • Shout-Out: Hozbim has a design inspired by John Bauer's trolls, as noted by Amy herself.
  • Unusual Ears: His pointed ears were notched in such a way as to give them a scalloped edge.

You are beneath my contempt.
I may not be able to kill you now Mistake, but you will wish I could after I tear your mind apart.

Charby's sire who has the most powerful telepathic abilities yet seen in the series.

  • Badass in Distress: He is captured by Rodericke. Then captured again and kept captive by the elites.

  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: He is tasked with removing Zeno's memories of Zerlocke by the elites.
  • Mass Hypnosis: He is able to use his mind control on a room full of elites.
  • A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: Only has this reaction to Zeno when the elites have Quixoto edit his memories so he won't attack Zerlocke at the party. He claims he barely escaped Zeno's mind with his own sanity intact:
Vita: Is... there something wrong with him?
Quixoto: Not if that seething worm pit you sent me into is normal for his kind! Something knew I was in his head. Something angry.
  • Mind Manipulation: He can play around even in the minds of the otherwise nearly untouchable "elites".
  • Mind Rape: A hobby of his, Victor interrupts him when he tries to do this to Charby.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: An Ancient
  • Pointy Ears: He has pointed ears.
  • Playing with Puppets: Has two elites who were sent to guard him dance with each other.
  • Telepathy: Strongest mind control and reading seen in the comics.
  • Would Hurt a Child: They are his preferred prey. Leaving Charby to slowly bleed out when he was done screwing with his mind and feeding from him left him with one of his victims being his most hated foe while unable to physically age.

     King Rodericke

Rodericke James Robinson.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rodericke.png

The vampire King of Kellwood Forest who has instigated attacks on many of the other kingdoms in the forest and wiped out several of them. He and his close advisors have done quite well for themselves especially given their relative fragility when compared to other demons and types of vampires in the woods and the number of enemies he's made.

Vampire, "Pureblood"

  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Has accomplished at least two genocides.

  • Jerkass: Even to his own subjects.
  • Love at First Punch: Luckily for Uma smacking Roderick when she first met him and didn't recognize the King only made him interested in her instead of causing him to disembowel her.
  • Mood-Swinger: His moods are highly unpredictable even for his closest aides.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: He was born to the vampire royal family.
  • Royal Brat: He doesn't like it when things don't go his way.

  • Vampire Monarch: Like his father before him.

    Uma

Umatilla

No, not poison. The king wants you alive! The magic is quite painful, isn't it?

King Rodericke's fiance.

Vampire, "Pureblood"

  • Becoming the Mask: She set out to find a relationship for comfort, riches and influence not romance but she and Rodericke were a good match and she fell in love with him for real.
  • Chairman of the Brawl: She uses a convenient barstool to knock out Quixoto.
  • Convenient Coma: After taking a hit to the head defending her love she falls into a coma giving healers more time to try and save her. It end up being subverted when she never wakes and dies anyway.
  • Gold Digger: She set out to find herself a rich and powerful future spouse, upon asking who the most powerful vampire in Kellwood is she is incredibly disappointed to learn that it's Charby, an undead child. After meeting Charby she tried to date other elites but eventually met King Rodericke by chance.
  • Honey Trap: Catches Quixoto by acting interested in him and knocking him out once his guard was down.

  • Taking the Bullet: She jumps in between Roderike and a silver blade Zeno threw at him and it gets lodged in her head.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: She was born a vampire.
  • The Vamp: Before and after finding a steady boyfriend she has no problem using her sex appeal and large chest to get by.

     Yadira

Yadira

A beautiful woman in a relationship with Zoren. In an alternate timeline she was Zeno's fiance.

     Rena

Rena Chavez

Oh, sorry! I guess that was out of line, but you surprised me! You just remind me of someone I knew once.

One of Zeno's sisters who has been mourning the loss of her little brother for years, implying that while it seems his parents abandoned him intentionally his sisters were not aware.

Scotodino

  • Facial Markings: She has a rounded triangular dot over her nose and curved black marks at her eyes that go from her upper lids to her hairline at the temple and down onto her cheeks from her lower lids making her bright eyes pop.
  • Hairstyle Inertia: Rena's hairstyle is a slightly longer version of the spiked hair she wore as a child.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has two upright black horns.
  • Lamenting A Living Relative: She mourns he little brother right to his face without recognizing him since he has not physically aged in over twenty years and she thinks he is just a similar looking young scotodino whose appearance reminds her of her lost brother.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: She has solid yellow eyes like her little brother.
  • Pointy Ears: Her ears are pointed.
  • Winged Humanoid: She has bat like wings with black fingers with a pale membrane.
  • You Remind Me of X: She sees Zeno and says he reminds her of her dead little brother, who of course he is. However he does not realize how long it's been and how much older he ought to be, talking to Rena is what makes him realize that he died at the scientist's hands. Zeno does not even recognize her initially since it has been over twenty years and she is now an adult.

     Zarita

Zarita Chavez

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zaritachavez.jpg
Zoren! I LEFT MY FAMILY FOR YOU! MARRY ME! I LOVE YOU ZOREN!

Zarita was the middle child of the Chavez's five children and one of Zeno's loving sisters.

Scotodino

  • Hairstyle Inertia: Her hairstyle has not noticeably changed since Zeno last saw her as a child.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has two upright white horns like her mother.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: She has solid yellow eyes like her little brother, though perhaps a cooler tone of yellow than his.
  • Pointy Ears: Her ears are pointed.
  • Winged Humanoid: She has grey bat like wings with a slightly lighter colored wing membrane like her brother.

     Avonlea

Avonlea

You chose poorly, my dear Jozk, my love... I'm coming to get ~yooooou~
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1avon.png

An Orrotta who has conspired to prop up the false chosen one Zoren.

Orrotta / An-Keth

  • Alien Blood: Purple
  • Combat Sadomasochist: Jozk impaling her on a spear seems to just excite her.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She was at the party at Samrick's palace.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Once she ditches the robes and hood she wears a single elbow length glove and a black tunic with only one sleeve with maroon pants and black and white boots.
  • Fish out of Water: All Orrotta and Scotodino are this to an extent due to entering Kellwood through a portal from another dimension, though they've been around a while.
  • Gem Tissue: Her soul gem, both of them.
  • Healing Factor / From a Single Cell: She's an elite, she can recover from any injury and having her soul gems removed just means she's down while she grows tentacles and wings to search for the things.
  • Hero Killer: She killed Jorro and Ezza, Jozk has no chance against her, and she's planning on taking out Zeno next.
  • Implacable Man: Poor Jozk, the most he could possibly hope to do is temporarily slow her down.
  • In the Hood: Wears a hood while on stage alongside Zoren and Malcom, she ditches it when she leaves the village to track down Jozk.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Green
  • Nightmare Fetishist: She can feel Jozk dying of his wounds even after he's fled from where she is temporarily paralyzed and it causes her to just become more pleased about tracking down his corpse.
  • Our Homunculi Are Different: An Orrotta is basically a Scotodino designed homunculus.
  • Pointy Ears: They're a trait of both the Orrotta and the An-Keth.
  • Pulling Themselves Together: She can't just regenerate her soul gem, which gives Jozk a little more time to try and escape.
  • Psycho Ex-Girlfriend / Dating Catwoman / Mad Love: She and Jozk used to date, it is unknown why the relationship soured but she's pretty cheerful about getting to kill him and flirts with him when she catches up to him.
  • Soul Jar / Heart Drive: As an orrotta she has a soul gem.
  • Teleportation: This part of being An-Keth makes it noticeably impossible for Jozk to escape from her.
  • Winged Humanoid: She grows wings as she's recovering from Jozk knocking out her soul gems.

     Jozk

Jozk

GET OFF OF ME YOU MURDEROUS AN-KETH ABERRATION!
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jozk_by_amelius.jpg

An Orrotta faithful who intends to get the snathe of the Demon Scythe to Zeno to make it whole again and ensure it is in the hands of the true Scotodino chosen one.

Orrotta

  • Alien Blood: Purple
  • Almost Dead Guy: By the time the Rose sisters find him he can no longer move due to the injuries Avonlea inflicted on him.
  • Determinator: He keeps fighting the functionally immortal Avonlea even after his soul gem has been knocked loose and makes it pretty far on wounds he has no way to recover from.
  • Fish out of Water: All Orrotta and Scotodino are this to an extent due to entering Kellwood through a portal from another dimension, though they've been around a while.
  • Gem Tissue: His soul gem.
  • In the Hood: Wears a hood in an attempt to disguise himself.
  • I'm Dying, Please Take My MacGuffin: He asks the Rose Sisters to take the Demon Scythe's snathe after the wounds Avonlea left him with leave him unable to get back up. He also asks them to take his soul, but he fails to explain that it is contained in a gem before his soul gem falls out of his chest and is left hanging by a thread immobilizing him.
  • MacGuffin Escort Mission: He is on one when Avonlea fatally injures him, so he hands the job off to the Rose Sisters.
  • Our Homunculi Are Different: An Orrotta is basically a Scotodino designed homunculus.
  • Pursued Protagonist: He is being chased by Avonlea after stealing the snathe of the Demon Scythe from Zoren while he slept.
  • Pointy Ears: These are part of the reason the orrotta are often mistaken for elves.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Kavonn takes his gun after he and Daray understandably mistake Jozk for a highwayman and Jozk says nothing in his own defense. He could answer Kavonn's questions about the Scotodino which are the entire reason Kavonn and Daray are on the road and Daray has a recall portal that will take Jozk directly to where he is trying to get to but Jozk just keeps running.
  • Soul Jar / Heart Drive: As an orrotta he has a soul gem.
  • Warrior Monk: He is faithful to Orzzoren and an excelent fighter.

     Malcom

Malcom

Out there, Jozk and his cabal are plotting the demise of our beloved Zoren!

The religious leader of the Kellwood tribe of Scotodino.

Orrotta

  • Alien Blood: Purple, though it hasn't been seen that of some of his fellow Orrotta has made plenty of appearances.
  • The Dog Was the Mastermind: From the perspective of the Scotodino an orrotta, creatures they built to serve them loyally, betraying them and controlling Puppet King to rule them is beyond comprehension.
  • Evil Chancellor: Of the evil High Priest variety. He's using Zoren to manipulate and control the Scotodino and save the orrotta from spending their lifetimes serving them. Zoren is aware he's being used to though whether he's aware he's being used to doom and subjugate his species is unlikely.
  • Gem Tissue: His soul gem.
  • High Priest: Serves as the religious authority to the Kellwood tribe of Scotodino while secretly betraying their god for a different goal.
  • Our Homunculi Are Different: An Orrotta is basically a Scotodino designed homunculus.
  • Pointy Ears: Pointed ears are an Orrotta trait, though presumably they could be constructed without them.
  • Rousing Speech: This is Malcom's speciality and he has managed to get an entire tribe of Scondito to dedicate themselves to following the incompetent false chosen one Zoren as he plots with Avonlea to take out the true Chosen One.
  • Sinister Minister: He is pretending to be a religious leader devoted to Orzzoren when he is instead part of a highly successful plot to murder all of Orzzoren's faithful.
  • Soul Jar / Heart Drive: As an orrotta he has a soul gem.
