"ANYONE WHO OPPOSES ME WILL BE DESTROYED!"

"It will be a pleasure watching you suffer....I'll make sure you die a slow and painful death."
M. Bison to Charlie Nash, Street Fighter Alpha 2

The Street Fighter series is a Trope Codifier for the Fighting Game. And like its successors, there are some rather nasty villains.

  • Main series:
    • M. Bison, the "Emperor of Evil", is a vile man of limitless ambition who desires nothing less than world domination and ultimate power. Once a talented martial artist, Bison began his infamous descent into evil by killing his own father, and later his mentor, before willingly eliminating the good in himself to obtain Psycho Power. The Dictator of Shadaloo, Bison earned the enmity of almost every character in the franchise by being directly and indirectly responsible for atrocities both small and large. Samples include personally murdering family of the cast or members themselves; permitting widespread destruction; abducting teenage girls worldwide to be brainwashed into personal bodyguards and assassins called "Dolls" whose lives are linked to his so they can be cast aside upon betrayal; and attempting to assume control of Ryu's body against his will. After reviving his organization, Bison concocts a scheme known as Operation C.H.A.I.N.S. to strengthen his Psycho Power to godlike levels and let him rule a sundered world supreme.
    • Street Fighter V: F.A.N.G., the former Nguuhao cartel assassin, is a literally poisonous man who worships M. Bison so much that he concocted Operation C.H.A.I.N.S. to empower Bison and his Psycho Power through widespread fear and chaos, knowing very well the world would become a Hell on Earth. Doing everything in his power to ensure the operation succeeds, F.A.N.G. intercepts a treasonous programmer and melts her down to a puddle before sampling the remains. Not even young teenagers like Laura's brother Sean or actual children like Li-Fen are spared from his petty wrath, and the eccentric but sadistic F.A.N.G. takes special pleasure informing Rashid of the fate he inflicted to his friend.
    • Street Fighter 6 & Days of the Eclipse: JP is the leader of the cyberterrorist organization Amnesia who wishes to restore Shadaloo back to its former glory. Previously M. Bison's financial advisor who was chosen to be his successor after mastering his Psycho Power, JP frequently poses as a wealthy philanthropist who establishes many companies in Third-World countries, creating destructive conflicts such as civil wars just so he can set up charity organizations from which to launder money. Setting up shop in Nayshall, JP frames Ken Masters as a collaborator of Amnesia to ruin his life, then holds his son Mel hostage while forcing him to activate a series of drone bombs that would kill hundreds of people in order to save him. Sensing a resistance trying to stop him, JP tries to trick the Player Character and their friend Bosch's little sister Yua into getting killed by a hidden bomb.
  • Others:
    • Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight: Dr. Troy, seemingly the best friend of Ken Masters, is in truth a monster to the core. Creating the substance known as Cyboplasm with Ken's aid, Troy backstabs Ken by faking his death and stealing their creation while infecting Ken with it so he suffers pain before wiping his memories to cover his tracks. Afterwards, Troy would trek across multiple planets to infest them with Cyboplasm so he can take glee in the pain it inflicts as his victims mutate into mindless superbeings, with him intending to use the substance to take over the entire galaxy and trying to convince Ken to join him or die. Even when Troy dies, the Cyboplasm infestation he caused on earth still evolves into a plague.
    • Final Fight: Streetwise: Blades, real name Dino, is a sadistic assassin who gets pleasure from carving up his targets. Working with crime boss Vito Bracca as his pet hitman, Blades tries to help instigate a war between Vito and Japantown by decapitating a man and using his head as a bomb to try and kill both Guy and protagonist Kyle Travers. Secretly working with Father Bella in his plan to distribute Glow and cause havoc across half the country, Blades casually offs Vito once Bella finds no use in him anymore. Resurrected by Bella as his own Horseman Famine, the mutated Blades uses his new powers to slaughter Sgt. Sims's squad of cops, even dismembering Sims himself limb by limb.

     Comic Books & Manga
  • Capcom Comic Book Universe, published by UDON note :
    • Street Fighter:
      • M. Bison is once again the power-hungry and despicable leader of Shadaloo. Originally taught in the ways of Soul Power, Bison discovered and embraced Psycho Power in its stead, choosing to pay his old teacher a visit to demonstrate his might, wiping out the village where she resided and killing its inhabitants. In the present, Bison acts as the world's most dangerous terrorist leader, killing the loved ones of several characters, selling weapons to terrorists, and kidnapping and brainwashing young women to act as his merciless enforcers, notably ordering Juni to murder her own mother to test her indoctrination. When one of his most precious assets—a female clone of himself named "Killer Bee"—is freed from her brainwashing to begin a new life as Cammy, Bison holds her newfound friends hostage to force her back into his service. Eventually, Bison completes the almighty Psycho Drive weapon, using it to annihilate several manned navy vessels and hold the rest of the world at gunpoint. Bison then hosts a tournament reserved for powerful warriors, aiming to brainwash them for his army. When Akuma appears and ruins his plans, Bison calls it quits and tries to steal Cammy's body to save himself.
      • Vega is M. Bison's narcissistic, sadistic right-hand man. Originally an underground cage fighter who would often murder his opponents, Vega is a known psychopath with a habit of killing people on a whim, with even his own allies not being spared from his bloodlust. In his cruelest outing, Vega sought revenge against Ken Masters for defeating him, crashing a party of his so he could leave him a bloodied mess on the floor, keeping him alive with the intent to make him watch as he brutally tortures his fiancée to death. Following the initial fall of Shadaloo, Vega inherited the technological subsidiaries of the organization, selling the shapeshifting Twelves off to Gill for his own shady purposes, while hosting macabre parties where he murders men as an "art performance" for his guests to enjoy.
    • Darkstalkers & The Night Warriors: Pyron is a sadistic space deity who enjoys devouring planets to gain power, having done so to his own home planet. Noticing the young planet Earth, Pyron waits for it to ripen and grow before promising to return and eat it. Spending the next millennia feasting on populated planets, Pyron heads back to the populated Earth, deciding to fight Morrigan and Demitri for his own amusement before he tries to devour the world completely.
  • Street Fighter x G.I. Joe, written by Aubrey Sitterson: M. Bison is the domineering dictator of Mriganka and the founder of the Shadaloo crime syndicate, using his resources to host a massive fighting tournament so as to power his Psycho Drive with the dueling energies. Teaming up with Destro as his partner, Bison also mocks Cammy over her time as one of Bison's enslaved, brainwashed soldiers, and brutally beats her to near death for fun. Bison's ultimate plan is to use his Psycho Drive to orchestrate the destruction of several major cities around the world, killing millions of people until the world cows to him, and reveals he will kill Destro as well when he outlives his usefulness.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter: M. Bison is the tyrannical head of the Shadaloo crime syndicate, which desires to rule the world. To this end, Bison, with the help of Dr. Baxter Stockman, creates a powerful weapon called the Psycho Bomb from the energies of martial artists. Bison kidnaps various fighters for his tournament, planning to collect their energy to create Psycho Bombs. To prove the destructive potential of the Psycho Bombs, Bison reveals he intends to detonate one in New York and kill all 20 million people within it as a show of force. Bison plans to mass produce the Psycho Bombs to blackmail the world into giving control to him.
  • Captain Commando: Scumocide has his character fleshed out into that of a Social Darwinist who seeks to conquer the world. In the past, Scumocide led his self-named organization in crusades that lead to the destruction of Zurch and Venice, as well as the deaths of everyone in the 7th Armada of the U.S. Navy Fleet. When Alexander Carlisle got involved with Project Tri-Haniel, Scumocide had him and his wife murdered, leaving a young Mars orphaned years before he became Captain Commando. In the present day, Scumocide seeks to conquer Metro City as part of his conquest, leading to millions of lives at risk of being lost. He also has no issue allowing cronies to die when he no longer sees any use in them.

     Animated Works
  • Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie: M. Bison is the leader of Shadowlaw, a criminal organization which trades weapons and drugs worldwide. In the past, he killed Chun-Li's father and Guile's air force partner, an event he fondly remembers. Seeking strong soldiers, he sends out human-like Monitor Cyborgs to find powerful martial artists, kidnapping them and using his Psycho Powers to brutally brainwash them into obeying him, sending them out to cause crime. After seeing Ryu beat up Sagat, he proceeds to hunt him down to make him his slave, later sending Vega to kill Chun-Li when he finds out she's investigating him. Deciding to make Ken Masters his slave, Bison kidnaps and brainwashes him into obeying him, pitting him against Ryu so that he can take him to be brainwashed as well, ordering Sagat to murder Cammy and Vega for failing him. After beating up Guile till he's barely able to fight, he tosses Ken aside once he regains his memories so he can fight Ryu. When defeated, Bison attempts to run Ryu down with a truck.
  • Street Fighter II V:
    • M. Bison, Shadowlaw's leader, once again seeks to Take Over the World by destroying all of the world's governments. Using the Ashura organization to smuggle drugs across the world, Bison captures the heroes, subjecting Ryu and Chun-Li to brainwashing and having Ryu try to kill his best friend Ken Masters to demonstrate his Hadouken powers. When Nash infiltrates his base to save Ken and Ryu, Bison beats and electrocutes him to death while strangling him. Bison carelessly tries to force Ken and Ryu to use their Hadouken powers against each other despite knowing that doing so would cause an explosion killing everyone inside, including his own men. Despite his supposedly good intentions, it's made clear Bison is simply a delusional, sadistic monster who seeks nothing but to destroy any opposing power so he could rule the world unopposed.
    • "Trap Prison and the Scream of Truth – Proud Ryu" & "The Superstar of Muay Thai – The Grand Prison Battle Symphony": Nucchi is a sadistic warden of a Malaysian prison where he tortures prisoners as his way of welcoming them. Having tortured Sagat with a baton in the past, Nucchi takes glee in beating the prisoners until he makes them scream. When Ryu enters his prison, Nucchi beats Ryu with a chain and viciously whips him, prolonging the torment when Ryu refuses to scream. Nucchi tries to have Sagat fight Ryu to the death in order for him to collect 50% of the money bet by the prisoners on the fight. When Sagat refuses, Nucchi tries to kill Sagat by trying to shoot him in the guts, knowing it will make Sagat suffer a slow death.
    • "The Superstar of Muay Thai – The Grand Prison Battle Symphony" & "Dark Omen – The Veiled Rightful Ruler": Zochi is the leader of the Ashura Syndicate working under Shadowlaw in the drug dealing business in Asia. In the past, Zochi frames Sagat for hoarding drugs in his home for refusing to take a loss in his Muay Thai fight, having him sent to a brutal prison where the evil warden Nucci tortures the prisoners for fun. When one of his goons, Donu, got caught by the police, Zochi has a mole assassinate him in order to prevent him from giving vital information on the organization. After capturing Ryu and Ken, Zochi interrogates them before revealing his private collection of severed hands he gains from using a chainsaw to cut them off and claim them as trophies, trying to cut off Ryu's hand to add it as part of his collections.
  • Street Fighter (1995):
    • M. Bison, once again a monstrous megalomaniac, is the ruthless leader of Shadaloo seeking world domination. Prior to the series, Bison has Cammy's parents murdered and brainwashes her into being a loyal servant to him. Bison makes various terrorist attacks across the globe, such as attempting to experiment on humans with a deadly virus; attempting to blow up a reactor to kill millions of people; forcing Guile to relive his worst memories in order to brainwash him and fight his own allies; threatening to use a plane filled with bombs to destroy cities; and trying to destroy all of North America by causing a comet to crash-land on Earth. Bison would later try to have Guile fight Cammy, knowing they're close friends. After using the Statue of Kali on himself, Bison decided that if he can't rule the world he might as well destroy it. To this end, he steals the Doomsday Code to activate every nuclear weapon on the planet to nuke the entire world.
    • "Strange Bedfellow" & "The World's Greatest Warrior": Akuma lacks any positive traits he has in the games and is more sadistic and eviler in this series. Seeking to devour both M. Bison's and Guile's chi, Akuma stirs up chaos across both factions, laying waste to a city and blowing up a power plant—causing a blackout and setting a whole city on fire—all to instigate two factions into war. Akuma watches as both Bison and Guile fight each other to the death planning to kill either one of them to devour their chi. Akuma would later attack his brother, draining him of his chi which would slowly kill him if Akuma isn't defeated.
  • Street Fighter Alpha: The Animation: Dr. Sadler is an amoral biologist who seeks to become the world's greatest fighter. To accomplish this, he has skilled fighters brought to his island and painfully drained of their power to supply him, leaving each fighter an Empty Shell. He takes particular interest in Ryu, whom he lures to the island with other fighters by having a boy named Shun pretend to be Ryu's younger brother. At the island, he unsuccessfully attempts to drain the fighter Birdie of his power, before goading Ryu into using a powerful attack on his android henchman, Rosanov, which turns him into a powerful fighter. In his new form, he beats Ryu down until Ryu manages to kill him with a Shinku Hadoken.
