The delights of Amnesiac Dissonance
"For any kiddie from school
Can love like a fool
But hating, my boy
Is an art."
Can love like a fool
But hating, my boy
Is an art."
— Ogden Nash
Tropes about one entity or group despising another (and not necessarily for a sensible reason, either). This hatred can be one-way or mutual, but it always makes things awkward at best (and hellish at worst).
Compare Revenge Tropes. Contrast Love Tropes. Not to be confused with The Universe Hates This Index, which is when things always go so wrong that it seems like the universe itself is out to get you.
