Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

@Muun Womble sits in this weird category that unlike Pewdiepie or Vanoss where he isn't the merchandise i.e, he isn't a brand to himself. He isn't a celebrity, if anything, he just simply posts events that occurs during his gameplay. If he shifts into political tangents, let me know, I'll personally deal with it.

@Rmpdc Honestly, I prefer the London Monitor over The Ausmerzer.

@HamanaHamanaHamana

If my Beatles rework has taught me, I would say that controversies can could and pass and it doesn't prevent you from still being culturally relevant, especially in pop-culture and Tropes in particular.

I would say learn to light-up a bit and if anything goes awry, you can always delete the profile in an instant and have the others deal whether or not re-accession is worth it. Like a Hype Prevention Sandbox but for holding during tense events. The Pantheon is far too big of a project to be erased from this site if you are worrying that much.

Also, Mayhem, Col. Cameron and even MJ who are far more controversial (but properly showing both controversial and factual aspects of them without just plainly basing them and concisely written may I add), are here and once approved by other users in the past, so I believe we are far past that Pandora's box by now and even then, I haven't heard any issues from them after their ascension. Are we supposed to remove every deity with controversy, even minor ones? Are we going start doing that to fictional characters as well?

But that's just my opinion. Anyway, here's a [tup]. I may disagree on your opinion but I would not spill that frustration into the profiles you are making.

@CrimsonShark

Freddie Mercury is the current holder of that title. What's happens to him? If there isn't anyone who would be taking it for a possible rework, I can volunteer to adopt it.

Also, [tup] for Roy.

Edit:

[down] He could have that but I also contemplating ascend his bandmates as well, maybe for Arena Rock since that is what their later output as. I could maybe propose all of them for both titles, maybe as "Gods of Frontman Popularity and Arena Rock" or something.

[up] I have an idea to give Freddie Face Of The Band, as he is the first person people think about when they think about Queen and he overshadows the other bandmates in popularity, plus he's not really known for his covers anyway. I have no plans to rework him as that's not my thing, but you can rework him for the trope if you want.

Got a couple new ideas for later. What do you think?

  • Circe, Goddess of Transforming People (Hall of Transformations, Chaotic Evil)-The demigod witch Circe of Classical Mythology was renowned for transforming people she didn't like into animals - or worse: she turned the nymph Scylla into a monster out of jealousy, transformed Picus into a woodpecker for refusing her advances, and famously reduced several members of Odysseus's crew to pigs. In some versions of the story, her island is infested with various beasts - all of them former explorers who found themselves on the receiving end of her bad mood.
  • Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd, Divine Corporation Of Amoral Auctions (Hall of Commercial Archetypes, Lawful Evil)-Marshall Carter and Dark is a Smokey Gentlemans Club and GOI that is interested in the paranormal and anomalous. They acquire and sell anomalous things to the highest bidder, and they do not care about the ethics, acting like your standard amoral business. They are courteous and will broker deals with the SCP Foundation to protect their bottom line. Still, they rarely care about their artifacts getting into the wrong hands and will Kick the Dog if it gets them something worth selling

[up] [tup] on Circe (she seems to be a deity who has seen her fair share of adaptations, so credit to that), abstaining on Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd.

@lawliet — I'm accepting the idea of the core lineup of Queen for Arena Rock, though I don't mind you applying Face Of The Band either. That said, I do think there are more overt and blatant examples of the latter than Freddie Mercury (Brian May tends to be cited often as one of Rock's best guitarists). Make sure you make a formal proposal once you're ready.

Honestly, I've said this before, but I'm fine with real-life people, YouTubers included, being in the Pantheon with the obvious rules of if they represent a suggested trope well enough without any notable/better competition and said figure not being too controversial, polarizing, or a total magnet of negativity. I feel like I've already gone through that before.

On an extended note, many people would end up having to merchandise and brand themselves in some way or another if it means generating profits and providing funds for their work. It's not like PewDiePie and Vanoss wanted to create a whole bunch of merch, that's what happens when you create a large presence and you need to expand your ways to reach out to a bigger audience and still assure you're earning enough in your job. YouTube isn't the only place with that element; Journalism forces you to brand and promote your work with flashy titles and paragraphs because you need readers and viewers. With Yahtzee being a gaming journalist, well...

Oh yes, he does video reviews as well. Much of the same rules apply, except use the Caustic Critic archetype and put your own spin on it to make yourself more distinguishable and marketable.

My point is that it doesn't matter whether you're popular, are small-time, or your medium differs from others, branding and merchandising are still important factors in the entertainment industry. It's nearly inescapable and you're going to have to find a way to market yourself in some way, even if the topic you prefer to work on is niche.

  • Some specific date is designated as the Pantheon's celebration for its founding. However, the parade went to hell just when most people were gathered to see it. Canisters containing gaseous chemicals were ignited into the crowds, causing people to hemorrhage from the lungs while panicking persons stampeded over others within the chaos. Meanwhile, several cargo ships were suddenly highjacked and workers within the ships were placed onto lifeboats when they were going to be rescued, the same canisters with chemicals ignited as these workers were being rescued, causing the trade routes to be closed off for hazardous material. This day would be labeled as the Red Jubilee considering how much blood was spilled from the toxins and injuries sustained. However, there was a person who arrived at the Pantheon with a treatment plan for those who were afflicted by the attack. Can you guess who this person heralded as a hero for his "generous" contribution to the Pantheon?
Friend: Hello there. I am the Friend, the one who will guide us to a future of safety and peace.
  • How the Friend came to power was through being the masked enigmatic founder and leader of the Friendship Democratic Party, in a world that pleaded for safety after similar terrorist attacks happened across the world. Furthermore, despite the belief that the Friend was assassinated by what was considered a terrorist group, the Friend was miraculously brought back to life and proceeded to be crowned as President of the World for his heroics. Ruling the dilapidated world ravaged by a virus with an iron fist, the Friend eventually planned for his most loyal followers to go to Mars to escape humanity from extinction. Then, to the horror of absolutely everyone, the Friend revealed that he was the true orchestrator of those biological weapon attacks and initiated the virus that killed most of humanity before dying, making it clear that he played everyone as fools and they could only blame themselves for allowing him to power. Then the Friend proceeded to activate a world-ending bomb as one final gift to humanity. Thus, the Friend cemented himself as the greatest villain Earth has faced, just as he intended since he was a child. The few in the higher authority of the Pantheon know this truth about the Friend, but the Friend became so popular to the Gullible Lemmings of society, that this information is seen as a smear campaign against the Friend who everyone sees as a savior even if his title gives his true nature away.
  • As a consequence of the Red Jubilee, Melkor and his forces are seen as the instigators of the Red Jubilee due to the perpetrators being orcs, caught dropping the canisters in both the parade and the cargo hijacking. Of course, Melkor launched an investigation into this and discovered many of the grunts wholeheartedly admitted their role in the entire scenario. They were miffed from being at the lower levels, and some mysterious liaison of another person gave them an offer that they would be compensated in flesh for. Regardless, they did tell Melkor that it was the Friend who employed them and that the man paid a lot better than he ever did. After Melkor “rejected” his minions, it became clear to him that though he does not take pride in actions not his own, he did gain pedigree amongst malevolent circles over what was concerned a well-executed ballsy attack. It does not take a genius for Melkor to revel in such newfound respect especially when Melkor’s popularity dimmed a bit with more threatening villains arising. That does not mean he is not cautious of the Friend, as Melkor knows the Friend will use this tidbit for his gains. Thus, he keeps quiet about the Friend’s true nature (as if anyone will believe him about the Friend’s evil) as an unsaid mutual agreement.
  • Ruing the day she publicly thanked the Friend for his contributions to helping so many people, Cosmos is one of the leading people who investigated the Friend’s background his entire plot exposed her and her inner circle entirely. By then, it was too late for Cosmos to make a dent in the winning streak of the Friend as he was heralded as an untouchable hero. He was so popular, that Cosmos was critiqued even by her inner circle for not being as quick of a responder as he was when the Red Jubilee occurred. The number of misogynistic jokes about her effectiveness as a female leader was unending for a week. Knowing the wonkiest Friend supporters would turn on her would dip if she tried exposing the Friend, Cosmos nominated to leak every detail of the Friend to the press and it became widespread. Despite this, somehow it failed to be a significant blowback against the Friend or his party’s popularity as the Friend perpetuated a widespread “fake news” culture that has people reject objective evidence if it violates their worldview. Although she would have supported this under any normal circumstance, the Friend campaigning for democratic leadership for the entire Pantheon would essentially give him the highest authority there is. For short, Cosmos is highly concerned about how much of a grip the charismatic Friend has and she cannot move against him lest her authority becomes undermined as a result.
  • Overly dramatic on the dangers of ordering, Lucifer had to sit down with both Melkor and Cosmos to softly admit that the Friendship Democratic Party left him terrified in ways that he has felt few of. He pointed out to both of them (the ones who have issues with the Friend) that the Friend is not using elective tyranny against people to subtly take over the Pantheon. His good deeds are a farce meant to have people gravitate to his Cult of Personality that just echoes praise and praise towards the Friend’s goals and ambitions. A regular person can oppose a villain, but they cannot oppose a good friend after all. He told them that the Friend could get away with anything if there is no wrong in the eyes of his followers, which Lucifer believes will spell out the death of freedom within the Pantheon. He implored them that their groups should stand their ground against him unless they find themselves forced to sing the Friend’s song as well.
Lucifer: I always wondered if the phrases along the lines of Mother Russia Makes You Strong were something ought to be proud about. Is it true strength that is derived from suffering or is it becoming numb to the constant boots of authoritarians being stamped on people’s faces over and over? Why am I on this random analogy, you ask? Because that is who Friend is. He is the boot that will stamp us over and over until we’re numb if he wins.
  • Keeping the answer to himself and himself alone apparently, not even the current supporters of the Friend know what he looks like underneath. The Friend never specified why he wore a mask, yet it was an accepted quirk of his from everybody. Back with his initial Friendship Democratic Party, his inner circle knew what he looked like underneath yet in the Pantheon, the Friend has never exposed it to anybody. There are two known identities of the Friend, both being Japanese men. There is Tetsuya “Fukubei” Hattori and Katsumata Tadanobu, two Childhood Friends that were unhinged mentally due to circumstances that are tragic though a bit overblown compared to what they do later in life. It is usually assumed that after Fukubei was killed, Katsumata took over as the identity of the Friend afterward through surgical alteration, which disillusioned those who knew Fukubei as the Friend. However, there are alternative facts (no, this is not part of the fake news bits) that entirely change this dynamic. Contradicting information brings up that Fukubei died when he was young, so Katsumata was always the Friend, meaning Katsumata was also a capable psychic like Fukubei. Not that this matters considering that somebody entirely different may be the Friend, even if their mannerisms, appearance, and voice match them. This became so contested for the Court of the Gods who could discern his identity, so the Friend was ranked as Greater God by his sheer authority and freakishly elusive nature, rather than being Lesser God or a Demigod as they could be wrong on either answer or even both. The Friend is more of an idea than a person to the masses anyhow, so the Greater status fits well.
  • Instead of his push for the Pantheon to be more democratic being rejected by the Court of the Gods, it only furthered the discussion on the placement of a democratic leader. Of course, the Court of the Gods is seen as the highest authority in the Pantheon, though they do not dictate how the economic plans, security plans, or creation laws or bills. They get around this by hearing every individual plea for parties, yet trying to make everyone happy is a balancing act. Left versus right, capitalist versus socialist, pedophile versus sane people are just some opposing ideologies they have to contend with. Having a concrete elected leader would help the Court of the Gods immensely, though what makes them highly concerned is the competitiveness to be the ruling party. The politics of the Pantheon are already zany without a positional race, so having an official election to be ruler might as well be inviting a potential war. What makes the Court of the Gods more confident in democracy working is the Friend, whose party gained popularity the likes unheard of in the Pantheon. Heroes believe he will bring a bright future, villains believe is a great benefactor, bidding citizens believe he will bring harmony, and autonomy supporters believe that he will grant more freedoms. Of course, the Court of the Gods is not surprised that the Friend has ulterior motives for this democratization (as all politicians do), though they are confident that they can stamp out whatever attempts the Friend may have that infringe upon the set harmony of the Pantheon that they enforce. That said, it is not unheard of institutions being dismantled from the inside despite believing that their authority is protected.
Child: Can we please have a fair, uncorrupted election where everyone accepted the result?
    Reality: *laughs*
  • Relevant to the Friend’s character, he and Johan Liebert are obviously in cahoots with each other due to their similarities in regards to being frighteningly charismatic individuals who only want to harm the world around themselves. There is a bigger elephant in the room that connects them though that is rather lazy to state. Their similar traits are pronounced, though their differences are more underlined. Johan Liebert’s hatred for humans drove him to force people to experience the worst of humanity. On the other hand, the Friend strove to be labeled as the greatest of all villains, propped up by humanity as their oppressive savior. Of course, as much as Johan would like to say he was ambitious, being heralded as the Adolf Hitler falls short of being crowned President of the World. Johan keeps the Friend’s true nature to himself for the sake of wanting to see whatever chaos the Friend brings, though even he might be intimidated by the Friend after having one particular conversation with him.
Johan: It’s strange. I can tell you are the man who stands above others, yet I cannot discern what your intentions are. If you are the Friend that is.
Friend: I also noticed something, Johan Liebert. If I could call you that?
    Johan: What are you implying?
Friend: Johan Liebert, the Serial Killer J, the Monster, whatever you call yourself is not the same person who killed all those people throughout Europe. The person who I am speaking with is an imposter.
Johan: And how do you come to that conclusion?
Friend: Because Johan Liebert would never let himself leave messy bedsheets like this morning.
  • Investigating the chemical attacks during Red Jubilee, Chris Redfield became incredibly suspicious that Umbrella Corp was involved with the incident upon finding chemicals that surprisingly matched with writings found within the Umbrella Archives that Chris had access to. Believing that Birkin and even Wesker were involved, Chris, his sister, and Leon Kennedy went to conduct their investigations against him. What they ended up finding was meetings between the Friend and Wesker, solidifying conduction between them. It does not necessarily implicate the Friend's involvement, though Chris was unable to hear or record the actual conversation between them. Jill and Leon overheard Birkin state that he is preparing what are likely more biological weapons to use, though that still does not connect Umbrella with the Friend. They want to bring the mastermind behind that terrorism to justice, though truly decisive evidence always slips from their fingers. They want to find that evidence fast before the Friend attained the power to suppress anything negative against him. As for why Umbrella went to create biological weapons meant to be used for terrorism, Chris could only theorize that Umbrella Corp would be bailed out by the Friendship Democratic Party so that the company may be seen as a legitimate enterprise again.
  • Many would assume that Friend’s popularity was only limited. If everybody attained a cultish following from a party taking swift action during a crisis, then you would get a lot of Character Shilling in the history books. However, what makes the Friend different was his push afterward that extended past chemical attack treatments. Though it was inevitable that the economy would have stagnated after (normal after a tragedy), the Friendship Democratic Party managed to keep these reductions negligible since his party funded the continued protection of trade routes and trade cargo with minimum cost to other parties, thus delivering a confident message to everyone on the party's goodwill. The symbol of the Friendship Democratic Party is also plastered onto the equipment and security made sure even the most unknowledgeable person is aware of the Friend's influence. The Friendship Democratic Party eventually stopped doing the security details for free, yet their prices were so reasonable (and not price inflating-obnoxious) that their security stayed and managed to wipe off the debt of the party in only two months. The symbol of the Friend became a literal meme in its own right, with the symbol being seen by everyone as both an ironic and unironic praise for them. Even architecture has the symbol of the Friend built onto them for the sake of it. Of course, people would be up in arms about it this and while some intellectuals (or simply, intelligent people) are, most people welcome him because the Friendship Democratic Party managed to keep gas prices down. As Cosmos put it, "Freedom is something willing to die for, but surprisingly easy to trade in."
  • An odd instance of doing something nonpolitical, the Friend invited the Beatles over to have them all under the same roof together. Those who know the Friend was alarmed, because Kenji Endou, the great opponent of the Friend whom Friend had hunted down him and his associates for more than a decade was into what is considered retro musicians like Marc Bolan or The Rolling Stones (Band). Having a nice meal with the now split band, Friend only asked one of them to at least say the lyrics of one of their songs, because having the Beatles there and not hearing them sing one song might as well be sacrilege. It was fortunate for the band that Paul McCartney had a guitar with him and started singing the requested song. Suddenly during the song, the Friend went to burst into tears over it. Saying their goodbyes, the Beatles were quite disturbed over their experience with the Friend, comparing it to a more ominous version of when they toured the Philippines when it was run by Ferdinand Marcos except something was more blatantly wrong on the surface.
    Friend: Gutalala, Sudalala...
  • Cultivating Friend's image be seen as a hero is what seems to be the overall goal of the Friendship Democratic Party. Similarly to how Friend ran his regime back when the Friendship Democratic Party took over the world, the Friend's heroic reputation pushed the population to acknowledge him to a cultish level. When the Friend eventually became President of the World, the history books were rewritten to demonize all of his enemies and present him as the apex of human goodness. Even when those in his inner circle knew of his mania, they were all caught in the Friend' charisma even if he ordered them to murder the citizens they were meant to protect. Aku who had taken over the world and also tried to push for a better image found the Friend to be a very brilliantly evil person which says a lot coming from himself. Then again, it was not as if Aku tried to hide that he was evil to people, it was just that those he hated had a higher reputation than he had which he wanted to fix. Aku knows that the Friend is promoting such an image so that he can repeat the same plan once more, as a way to what Aku surmises as "winning a game that he lost last time." That said, Aku is miffed that even kids saw through him when he tried playing off being a hero while the Friend whose title is a god of betraying others by presenting them as a friend is somehow swept under a rug by some brilliant propaganda. If the Friend were Aku's minion, he would have be in charge of the advertisement department. Instead, Aku is left wanting to see if what is probably labeled as the Pantheon Total Extinction plan pans out.
  • Running around the Pantheon to investigate the attack on the cargo ships, Solid Snake hoped to find whatever happened to the cargo. Though stealing goods in an organized attack is already a serious crime, the terror of the day would have been more felt if the public was disclosed what was stolen. The cargo ships attacked held transported munitions and materials for weapon development. Being the founder of anti-Metal Gear organization Philanthropy, Snake went to find out where it was. Snake would have personally interrogated those involved in the attack but Melkor shot down that action already. His investigation led him to a factory and he found several giant robots that looked awfully familiar to the giant robot that the Friend designed to spread his biological weapon around the world. Metal Gears or not, Snake went to grab as many explosives as he could and then proceeded to blow up the factory off the face of existence. That said, Snake noted that even with how expensive Metal Gear development is, those cargo ships held a lot more than what was seen in the factory. So in all likelihood, more of those robots are hiding around the Pantheon, with him racing to destroy all of them before they could be used against people.
  • Even though he does not interfere with these sorts of things usually, Professor Charles Xavier went to one of the Friend's rallies where he appeared and tried to read his mind as discreetly as possible. Even though the Friend is known to have decent if nothing extraordinary psychic power over himself, Xavier was especially suspicious of not feeling a hint of resistance when he entered the Friend's mind. When prying his mind, all that Professor X saw was a white room with only a mirror in it. When Xavier looked into the mirror, all he saw was that his reflection's face was replaced by a featureless sphere. When Xavier exited the mind, the rally was over. It was night and on the stage was the Friend, staring down at him in the same position. The Friend stated that despite the psychic infiltration, the rally went off without a hitch, and that Friend deployed his psychic field for most people to ignore their presence. Xavier demanded an answer as to how he could resist his psychic power as the Friend's psychic power is only reported to be about bending his spoons and having premonitions. It is even stated that the Friend's daughter was potentially more powerful than he was in this regard. The Friend laughed and only stated that the Pantheon opened his mind to many things. Then suddenly, Professor X woke up, back at the rally in the daytime as the Friend continued his speech as if nothing happened, much to the disturbance the man. Was the Friend being protected by another psychic party? Had the Friend acquired great psychic power than Professor X can fathom? There are so many questions, yet he can answer none with confidence.
  • An enduring rival against the Friend, Frank Underwood despises the fact that the Friendship Democratic Party had upstaged his own on nearly every front. He knows that the Friend never insinuated this himself, but so many supporters point to politicians like him as being decrepit and useless when the Friend acted too quickly, furthering his frustration against what he singled out as "the too educated youths" (although multiple generations support the Friend).
Underwood: God, please give the Friend cancer so I can be president...
Friend: I am right next to you.
  • Although everyone would popularly believe YHVH only wants people to worship himself, YHVH has given his support to the Friendship Democratic Party as he sees them as nothing but a boon for law. YHVH values law being established more than outright worship and was impressed how much chaos was quelled due to the Friend's quick actions. That said, everyone sees that the Friendship Democratic Party are far away from what YHVH usually directly supports, separating him from what the Friend intends. The irony is that people can see this difference yet do not see the Friend as this obviously evil cult leading backstabber that he is literally titled as such. YHVH knows about this and does not mind as long as order persists.
  • There is nobody who frustrates Nekron as of late than with the Friend as Nekron sees so much potentially within the politician. The man has the ambition and knowledge to kill everyone across the planet, yet what Nekron sees is this wannabe who only wants to hype himself up as the greatest villain ever to the populace after betraying them, thus giving him satisfaction as he is sent to hell. Nekron has no problem, and him leavin death and destruction behind to up his image is even less of a problem. Nekron is like an impatient parent who wants to see their child conform to be a college-level genius at elementary school in regards to his opinion over the Friend. He wants the Friend to kill many, yet that is taking forever for Nekron who only wants the results instead of waiting for them.
  • Evil folks who want dystopia like Wiseman and Moebius have tried their best to feed the Friend advice on how to bring the world to ruin through manipulations, though the Friend distances himself from them as much as he feels like they may be a "toxic influence." What he means by this is that their ideas might sway him so much, that the Friend might actually have him act as a villain instead of a hero that he has spent so much time building himself up as. If there is to be dystopia, it would be the "Friend way", which nobody knows what that means. Also, the final straw for the Friend may have been made when Wiseman and Moebius asked the Friendship Democratic Party to mint their own cryptocurrency and make a pyramid scheme with it. Even the Friend is not that villainous.
  • People against the Friend wondered if the Friend was a really good agent of Darkseid considering what the Friend stands for. It would not be so out of place considering that Darkseid's minions invaded Earth as friendly faces meant to secretly sow discord across the population. Of course, Darkseid replied to these theories as a no, even though he would really like someone like the Friend as an agent. That is not to say he is unconfirming that the Friend is a similar maniac like himself, though the Friend's supporters used it as an excuse that this proves that the Friend is ultimately, a benevolent individual.
  • From the moment he knew of him, the Master has been particularly jealous of the natural charisma of the Friend and all the benefits that came with it. The Master had to forge the identity of Harold Saxon and had to install an entire network of satellites so that people are inclined to vote for him as prime minister. The Master on a whim could try to expose the villainous connections that the Friendship Democratic Party has but relented when it was informed that if he tried to leak a single sentence, his wrongdoings would be made apparent to his very much vengeful allies.
Melkor: You embezzled a fourth of the healthcare fund for whaling? So that we have more delectable sushi on the marketplace?
    The Master: Not exactly...
  • Regarding one of the strongest allies of the Friend, a person who helped him immensely as leader of his security detail, is Diego Brando. Diego Brando seems like a random addition to his party, yet Diego has a good reason as to why he works for the Friend. That reason is that Diego Brando would be promoted and would be supported by the Friend as a candidate for being governor of Manhattan once the Friendship Democratic Party takes over. Diego Brando was promised the island at one point in a treacherous deal, and he still wants to essentially rule that territory. The Friend went to him specifically to provide security for him and his closest cronies, with Diego's Stand power being capable of providing hawkish security for them. Of course, Diego Brando agreed much to the dismay of Lucifer himself who is vehemently opposed to the Friend's tactics. However, it is not as if Lucifer can do anything about it as he actively encourages treachery, so he just gives a constant Death Glare at Diego whenever they see each other. On a lighter note, the Friendship Democratic Party made a pretty good mint of dinosaur merchandise due to dinosaur paraphilia being everywhere as a result of Diego's powers.
  • If many compare politicians to clowns, then there would hence be many special effects meant to dazzle audiences. A person who helps the Friend's campaign is Mysterio whose great effects enhance the Friend's already natural charisma. Mysterio's special effects even brought people to believe that the Friend can levitate and even survive being hanged. Yes, people are dumb. These tricks have even elevated Friend to a Messianic Archetype status that has brought nothing but good fortune for him and his associates like Mysterio. Mysterio even offers advice on what is wise for what the Friend may or may not say.
Friend: Does mentioning the Five Nights at Freddy's series inspire the next generation or-
    Mysterio: Shut up about that.
  • Ending the world seems to be the endgame of the Friend at some point in time, yet it cannot be similar to what he deployed. Deadly pandemics in the Pantheon are curable at some point and whatever lethality behind pandemics is out the window. The Friend knows that making a bomb meant to annihilate the Pantheon will be undone too, so to make the true end of times, he has to find out every way to destroy existence. Going to Keel Lorenz, the Friend made it clear he wanted to end the world but lied over the intention of wanting to elevate the elite few beyond godhood. SEELE then gave the Friend information on the Third Impact and such and directed him towards Yui Ikari if he wanted to know how to bring the apocalypse. He was very upfront about his intentions, which initially led her to decline whatever research he wanted her to hand over, though relented when the Friend presented a compelling argument. Villains almost always never win in the end after all, and his plans would likely not pl
  • Notable, the Friend requested multiple times to have the Patriots hacked to bring about a more safe era for the Pantheon. Considering how near-omniscient these AI are, most people would not be as okay with turning the entire Pantheon into a surveillance state though the Friend stated that it would not be used for that and it would be used to enhance the surveillance measures already in place. Plus, he presented the compelling argument that the Patriots would just run around literally funding wars if they do not do anything about it. A person who sees through the Friend's intentions is Steven Armstrong who believes that the Friend may be an even worst replacement for the Patriots if he gets his way. Instead of resorting to violence, Armstrong knows to be a politician is with politics of his own. So whenever the Friend tries to gain ground, Armstrong is there to impede his path. This would be a good thing... if Armstrong was not Armstrong to put it into the best of words.
Friend: What is your source stating that kindergarteners beating each other is positive reinforcement?
Armstrong: SOURCE?! My source is this peer-reviewed article that I have right here.
  • Does the Friend have one regret in his political career? That would be bringing a certain Gul Dukat under his party, who is genuinely a charismatic man in his own right. He did run an occupied planet after all. However, the number of times that the Friend had to make sure that Gul Dukat's breakdowns and flirtatious attitude are kept under wraps is exhausting. The man may as well be a ticking time bomb that they cannot get rid of since Dukat is ingrained in the Friendship Democratic Party as one of its faces. Additionally, the Friend has a Cardassian tailor who he is 100% sure was a spy but keeps being told by the tailor that he is just a simple tailor. The Cardassian at least can make a truly decent suit to wear.
  • "If you want to understand, then open your heart. If you want to understand, then it’s a hop, skip, and jump of the heart! If you want to understand, then bathe regularly. If you want to understand, then believe in “Friend”. Call it out, 10 times: “I’m dead”. Then close your eyes. Can you see anything? This world will soon be heading towards its end. You all will defiantly come to an end. I know this as I am your “Friend”."

@CrimsonShark I'll see what my research would take me but I think Freddie Mercury is famous enough to take the title, imo.

My response to the YouTube celebrity thing is that, it won't matter anyway since other Tropers had decided that a popularity or unpopularity of a character or person shouldn't be a main factor in their ascension. Popularity is plus for the likelyhood of ascension but what matters is whether or not they have enough interactions to warrant being added to the project.

Also, Hanna is probably just worried that the profile or project would be raided by Loony Fans or something which is why they mentioned wanting to "personally deal with it" once a subject goes "political". Again, I'm fine with deletion if necessary.

But I would like to point out, works like Undertale and Steven Universe with problematic fandoms have profiles here just fine, so take that if you will.

Question about votes:

The "Rules" folder on Pantheon.Trope Pantheons says:

For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one-week waiting period.
For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.

Does that mean 1 week/3 days after the deity was posted in the thread, or 1w/3d after it hit that number of tups? Because you could get 1 vote on the day you post someone and then 2 more the next day. I just want to make sure.

[up] I am assuming it's the former, because the "getting 1 [tup] the first day and 2 [tup]s the next" is a very rare scenario (profiles usually get their [tup]s on the day they're posted). It does sound kinda vague when you brought that up though.

say, shouldn’t Made in Abyss be in the Hype Prevention Sandbox? season 2 is currently airing, though i’ve recently thought about giving riko, reg, and nanachi a profile and redoing bondrewd’s but wouldn’t it be best to wait until season 2 is finished airing?

Stan has been reworked

@lawliet. You do realize the difference between your examples and the Youtuber situation is? MJ's accusations have little weight but still has great influence in his music catalogue. Same with Mayhem and the interesting dynamic of Death Metal as a genre. Meanwhile Birth of a Nation is a fictional retelling of the same novel which was based on past history of Confederalist America. Notice how these examples have historical tones/influence and some fictionality in it. Youtubers change on a dime and are far more prone to change than the average musician/feature film, not to mention online influence.

A film like Salo or Cannibal Holocaust are exempted because of fictional undertones despite their delivery and fictional works in the Pantheon are based by execution and if other more worthy choices are available. Youtubers do not fit unless they are a legacy channel (i.e current state Pewdiepie) which unfortunately, the current state of most "content creators" are not.

Late response but I needed to correct some portions of your argument.

[down]Popularity should never be the basis for ascension. That is already a given. We've already seen what RWBY, Undertale and Persona 5 have done when it comes to hype ascensions.

[up] It's okay and you got a good point there and I do agree with that.

The next question would be, what counts as a Legacy Channel anyway? Does a YouTuber need a certain amount of years (starting from when they first became an active content creator amd not just when they created the channel) to be eligible? I feel if we are bringing YouTubers back, would it be better to put restrictions on this so that we can prevent any schuck with a youtube channel from getting in unless their channel is proven to be culturally relevant.

Also, my point still stands on the other post regarding how popularity or celebrity status should not be a factor on ascension.

[up][up]And look how swimmingly RWBY came out after Monty's death. It's crap.

[up][up][up] YouTube is an insanely competitive platform and contributors are very prone to Crippling Overspecialization in either one specific genre or work that they comment/interact on. This explains why several channels tend to go through changes because they need to find a way to reach out to new audiences unless they want to remain derivative and stale. Musicians seem to be an exception as being an artist means you have to really affirm your talent and craft and your working field doesn't really change save for videos that are not to do with music, but limitations are required either way (we know that Austin Jones is never getting in due to... reasons, though I'm personally not interested enough in the guy, to begin with).

As for content like Salo and Cannibal Holocaust, there is also a limit to that, albeit not as big as real-life people, namely that the work needs to tell a plot/story first and foremost and that most anything is fine. The limit ahead, after all, consists of hardcore pornography, extreme gore, excessive real-life cruelty, and snuff films that barely have a plot (if they're fictional) and exist for the sake of exploitation that we can't suggest due to how much they would impact our ethical standards and procedures put into the Pantheon. Salo and Holocaust, while very visceral films and exploitative to some extent, have a plot and reason behind the events of the movie and there's more to them than just shock factor.

I'm not having a go at you, just putting out some thoughts of mine and expanding on what you said.
