Ginny is a tomboy who grew up with six brothers, likes sports, and her signature spell is the Bat Bogey Hex. A Betty and Veronica example are Ron's two love interests in the series: Lavender Brown and Hermione. Lavender is a ditzy Genki Girl and gossipy hen. She is far more flirty and sexually confident than Hermione, who is One of the Boys and an Action Girl of the Badass Bookworm variation.

Jules responds by using her hat for target practice.
Characters.Anne With An E: Rachel's main hobby in Avonlea appears to be gossiping and stirring up drama. Marilla ends up calling her out for this in season 2 when she ends up jeopardizing a couple's marriage for simple drama based on rather groundless assumptions.It winds up being a strength in season 3 when she blackmails the sexist and stern town council into accepting several female members (as opposed to being all-male aside from her). While she can't prove they burned the schoolhouse down, she can and will start the rumor they did and make sure it stays an active rumor for a long time.
Film.Hollidaysburg: Jerkass: Katie, who used to bully and control Tori to an absurd degree, is an incorrigible gossip and hypocritical slut-shamer, casually drops racist remarks and makes fun of Courtney's vocal chord injury the moment she finds out about it, and flies into a jealous rage over the Scott/Heather/Tori/Petroff Love Dodecahedron that's none of her business. It's notable that Courtney wryly remarks that Katie sounds like a colorful character she'd like to meet only to be told they've already met, whereupon she corrects herself and says she doesn't like Katie at all. Some but not all of this behavior can be excused or at least explained by the fact that she's apparently an Armored Closet Gay.
Literature.The Labours Of Hercules: A big problem for Dr. Oldfield, as the town gossips spread rumors that maybe Oldfield killed his wife. This is a running theme in "The Augean Stables"—as news of Dagmar Ferrier's exploits spread across London, more and more citizens become convinced she's a drunk and sex maniac. Each new section of the story begins with "People were talking."

Characters.Edens Zero Sakura Cosmos: Just a Machine: While this isn't a universally-held belief on Oedo, several natives have openly expressed opinions towards robots that are generally unflattering at best and downright dehumanizing at worst: a group of Gossipy Hens is openly wary of Valkyrie due to her rough and violent nature, and the notion that she is a living person is dismissed by a group of teenage boys who see her as some kind of "love doll".
Literature.The Secret History: Within the group the main example has got to be Bunny. It was also infamous for spreading rumors that Shirou and Rin had a sexual relationship and of the former's circumstances with Caster and Rider.
YMMV.Nuest: In the group's earlier years, Aron was the fandom's most divisive member. For international fans, in 2014, he stated on his English radio show that guys were "superior [friends]" (because he claimed girls were Gossipy Hens while boys had the The Bro Code) and had to apologize twice since his first apology came off as dismissive. For Korean fans, he was overheard mocking Seventeen behind their backs with a swear word on their vlog in 2013. Both instances were difficult to defend, however, these days, he seems to have wised up and is now viewed more favorably.
