Rachel, Delphine, and Cosima...or is it Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica?

While Alison struggles with Aynsley’s death and Cosima grapples with the worsening symptoms of her mysterious sickness, Sarah enlists Art’s help to find Kira and is shocked when she learns where the trail leads.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Asshole Victim/You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Tomas.
  • Bizarre Human Biology: Helena survived being shot in the chest because her heart was on the right side of her rib-cage, a condition that can occur in real life.
  • Blatant Lies: Leekie clearly does not believe Cosima and Delphine when they tell him that they had no idea whatsoever about Sarah's plan to disguise herself as Cosima to infiltrate Dyad, to the point that he spends the whole meeting looking like a bored principal. He likely lets them get away with it out of plausible deniability since he needs them both working on the science.
  • The Chessmaster: Mrs. S. is behind Kira's disappearance, though she did it to protect her. She trashed her own house to confuse anyone looking for them and ran to a safehouse in the woods. Eventually, she leads Sarah to the hideout and reunites them. She has a network of friends called the Birdwatchers, who had helped her bring Sarah from the UK years ago. The man seen with Kira early in the episode is one of them.
  • Les Collaborateurs: A couple of the Birdwatchers have defected to the Prolethians' side after "finding God". Mrs. S. quickly wises up to this.
  • The Confidant: Art joins Clone Club.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Cosima's particularly cheeky this episode, especially with both Leekie and Rachel (see Smug Snake).
  • Feed the Mole: Alison and Felix try this on Donnie. It works.
  • Gilligan Cut: Angela promises Art she'll drop the case. The next scene is her at the hospital asking about the case.
  • Gossipy Hens: The other housewives gossip about Alison at Aynsley's funeral because she slept with Chad, Aynsley's husband.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Alison's drinking habits continue.
  • Kick The Son Of A Bitch: The people who kill Tomas almost certainly don't have good intentions toward Helena, but he was such an asshole that it's difficult not to cheer his death.
  • Impaled Palm: Mrs. S. immobilizes one of the traitorous Birdwatchers by pinning her to the dining-room table with a knife and fork though each hand.
  • Made of Iron: A police officer questions how Helena could possibly be alive.
  • Mama Bear: Mrs. S. is not amused when she finds out the people she was working with are collaborating with the Proletheans, thereby putting Sarah and Kira in danger. She swiftly kills them.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Alison greatly regrets letting Aynsley die.
  • The Patient Has Left the Building: Mark sneaks Helena out of the hospital in a wheelchair, moments before Angela can interrogate her.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: See above under Mama Bear
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: Daniel uses his Dyad connections to threaten Art into letting him go but Art ignores him. It's later mentioned that he made good on his threats.
  • Self-Harm: Tomas whips himself for his failure.
  • Smug Snake: Rachel turns the smug up to eleven in her first on-screen encounter with Cosima - who ain't having none of it.
Cosima: I’m Cosima. The real Cosima. Not the one who kicked your ass or whatever... Gotta love concealer.
Rachel: I hear you're very clever.
Cosima: I was "clever" when I was, like, six.
[Then, after realizing Cosima and Delphine are an item]
    Rachel: So...you're gay.
Cosima: My sexuality is not the most interesting thing about me.
  • Trail of Bread Crumbs: The man who took Kira, later revealed to be one of Mrs. S's Birdwatchers, leaves one for Sarah in order to trap and kidnap her.
