This battalion is made up of all the heroes that don't fit in the above categories, but have something to give one way or the other. This group was suggested by Saitama, who was sick of the under-representation of heroes within the Pantheon, as they were 'dominated' by the Marvel and DC majority. As such, Command created this new sub-division with the reformation of the Superhero Division to ensure fair enfranchisement of non-DC and Marvel superheroes in the Pantheon.
Tatsumaki envisioned this as a new Hero Association, but given its aim of putting non-DC and Marvel superheroes into the spotlight, it was named 'Union' instead to support this vision. This sub-division is also in charge of classifying the power of the Division's respective superheroes, according to the S to C-Class tiers from One Punch Man in addition to their godly rank for strategic reasons. For example, Superman is an S-Class hero.
Nick Fury, in addition to his role as a military adjutant, officially leads this sub-division. Metro Man also serves as an unofficial advisor, since he's 'done' with his superhero career.
Son Gohan is an unofficial member of the Union due to his status as the Great Saiyaman.

The respective heroes from One Punch Man were the main lobbyists for the creation of this sub-division, though some (you-know-who) did so for petty reasons. Mumen Rider isn't here because he wasn't part of the Pantheon at the time of establishment of this group.

Demon Cyborg/Genos
