ICE COLD KILLER(freezys alter ego)
voiced by: Michael Apollo Lira
The scrawny yet extremely popular champion of the first tournament the player enters. He harbors a much more menacing alternate persona known as Ice Cold Killer.

  • Childish Tooth Gap: He sports one between his two front teeth.
  • Dumb Blonde: A Downplayed example as he's overconfident and doesn't seem to realize how dorky his manner of speaking is, but is otherwise not that dim.
  • Expy: He's Big Boy Boxing's equivalent to Glass Joe, with the addition of his transformation helping to set up that the game plans on fully embracing its cartoony look and feel.
  • Hulking Out: After he loses his helmet and everyone laughs at him in response, he freaks out so badly that he rapidly grows muscles and turns into "Ice Cold Killer".
  • Informed Attractiveness: He's apparently a massive heart throb with hordes of fangirls, as is seen in his intro.
  • In-Universe Nickname: He's also known as the Ice Cold Killer, which is also the name of his alter ego.
  • Jekyll & Hyde: The cutscene before his first rematch reveals that Ice Cold Killer is an alternate personality that Freezy sees as a separate person who taunts him over his failures.
  • Nervous Wreck: Freezy is reduced to this without his helmet, at least until he hulks out.
  • One-Winged Angel: After his helmet is knocked off he hulks out into Ice Cold Killer.
  • Waddling Head: Played for Laughs in Trigger Happy's intro cutscene. After Freezy Boy calls her cute, which triggers her, she hits him so hard that he's reduced to a helmet with legs that flees.
  • Warm-Up Boss: He's a relatively easy opponent, given that he's the first tournament champion the player faces.

Wild Dude's Tournament

     Mr. Adyltmen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_mr_adyltmen.png
"We are... Mr. Adyltmen!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ggtwupeweaawk1.png
kid croix(pole kid)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ggtwupkw8aeekiw.png
kid putte(the controller)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ggtwupdxyaekm49.png
kid yano(the pillow kid)
A respectable gentlemanly combatant and most certainly NOT 3 young boys in a trench coat that's been padded with pillows.
  • Assist Character: Damaging the "main body" enough times when "he" isn't flashing yellow will launch one of the kids out, who then assists by attacking from the sidelines while being invulnerable to damage. The first kid attacks with a boxing glove on a stick from the right side, while the second hangs from the ceiling to throw pillows at you.
  • Childish Pillow Fight: The second kid that plops out assists by throwing pillows at you. Despite being pillows, they hurt.
  • Double Standard: Violence, Child on Adult: The kids are fully capable of hurting the player via their Totem Pole Trench's "punches", a boxing glove-on-a-stick and thrown pillows. Meanwhile, the game cleverly avoids having the player hurt the kids — the pillow stuffing in the suit takes the blows, while the first two kids are harmlessly launched out upon enough damage and can't be hit after that.
  • No Name Given: None of the boys that comprise Mr. Adyltmen have official names.( although offical names have been given to the kids recently. those being kid croix, kid putte, and kid yano)
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: The top boy frequently using his arms and the middle boy peeking through the coat completely spoil the disguise, not the mention the loose Groucho Marx glasses.
  • Punny Name: The name sounds like Mr. Adult Men, which kind of makes sense given the kids made it up on the spot.
  • Totem Pole Trench: It's the whole gimmick of the character(s), being three children dressing up in a trench suit because no kids are allowed in the tournament.

     The Wild Dude/The fresh dude
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_the_wild_dude.png
""Hmm... How to ... Money ... Problem not!! Me made .. Plan?!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gj2nusswaaaksge.png
the fresh dude(wild dudes alleged rematch appearance)
voiced by: Michael Apollo Lira
A sewer dwelling hobo who takes over a tournament in an effort to sell the belt to Coach Hank, not realizing his student is also competing.
  • Absurdly Spacious Sewer: The one he and the rats live in is big enough to act as one of the game's side arenas.
  • Accidental Misnaming: He refers to Coach Hank as "Coach Hamk" while going over his plan in his pre-fight cutscene.
  • Animal Motifs: He's closely tied to rats, living in the sewers with them and planning to split the money from his plan with them.
  • Ascended Extra: He was initially conceived as someone for the player to fight at the end of the game's tutorial but his popularity lead to him getting his own tournament later in development.
  • Didn't Think This Through: He entered the tournament hoping to win and then sell the belt to Coach Hank and his student, failing to consider Hank's student might also enter and try to get the belt that way.
  • Dumb Blonde: As you would expect, the crazy man who lives in sewer tunnels and can barely string together a sentence isn't extremely smart.
  • Hobo: He's a man with barely any clothes who's name in earlier builds was The Hobo Dude.
  • Hulk Speak: Played With, his version of this is most unique for him always pausing after one or two words, likely struggling to remember many of them given his near total isolation from other people.

Toxic Love's Tournament

     Coach/Cousin Stank/skank
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_5429_11zon.png
"See ya later, Hankie Pankie!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_20240414_201112_1_11zon.png
coach skanks alleged rematch appearance
Coach Hank's loud, obnoxious cousin who "borrowed" Hank's stuff after he decided to join Toxic Love's Tournament on a whim.
  • Acrofatic: Despite his paunchy build he can weave around the ring quicker than almost any other boxer.
  • Authority in Name Only: He isn't actually a coach, nor does he have any real boxing experience, he just decided to use his cousins title as a stage name to mess with him.
  • Beard of Evil: Stank may not really be evil as much as he is extremely obnoxious, but he is a more villainous counterpart to his cousin with his main differentiating physical feature being his beard.
  • Boring, but Practical: Instead of transformations or wacky gimmicks Stank just uses his speed and constant attempts to fake out the player.
  • Catchphrase: "HUGADAHA!"
  • Clashing Cousins: He annoys and makes fun of his cousin, barging into his gym and taking his equipment after deciding to join one of the tournaments, and is hellbent on making Hank's latest student (being the player) look like an idiot.
  • Combat Pragmatist: His fighting style consists of cheap fake-outs, fake tells, and taunts.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: He mockingly calls Hank "Hankie Pankie" after he takes his boxing stuff.
  • Eye Glasses: Just like his cousin's.
  • Fat Bastard: He has a beer gut and is amongst the most unpleasant boxers, personality wise.
  • I Shall Taunt You: Often turns around to taunt the player by shaking his butt. This actually gives you a very opportune moment to hit him.
  • Jerkass: Stank is everything a comically written annoying relative should be, loud, inconsiderate, overly confident, mean-spirited, hasty and the gimmick of his fight is him trying to trick the player with fake tells. He even starts the fight with a sucker punch.
  • Victory Fakeout: He pulls one right before his Turns Red begins and he becomes much faster.

     Trigger Happy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_3191_11zon.png
"Is it cute you want? TOO BAD YOU'RE IN THE RING WITH ME!"

A sweet looking little girl with an explosive temper adorned with a microscopic fuse. When in the ring she uses a giant grinning boxing-glove-mallet.

  • Enfant Terrible: She initially seems like a sweet little girl but is very ill-tempered and vicious.
  • Expy: She's a dead ringer for Darla Dimple from Cats Don't Dance, both in terms of design and personality.
  • Girl with Psycho Weapon: She's a cute little girl wielding a massive angry-faced hammer that's bigger than she is.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: A cutesy little brat that will start brandishing her glove-mallet at the slightest provocation.
  • Hates Being Called Cute: As she demonstrates in her intro cutscene.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Her mallet can get stuck in a hole she herself makes by striking the same spot in the ring too many times back to back.
    • There's also her defeat animation which has her being squished by her own glove-mallet.
  • Living Weapon: Implied with her giant hammer which keeps its eyes locked on the player during the whole fight.
  • Meaningful Name: She is most certainly trigger happy with that weapon she's got.
  • The Noseless: Much like other smaller characters (such as the audience members) she's drawn without a nose, though her nostrils can be seen in some of her attack animations.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's evidently one given how easily she swings her weapon around despite it being two to three times her size.
  • Psycho Pink: Her whole schtick is being a young girl in a pink dress while also being a ruthless fighter with one of the most absurd weapons in the game.
  • Slasher Smile: Mostly her mallet, as it always sports a large, sharp-toothed grin. Trigger Happy, herself also has quite the unsettling smile in her icon in the fight select screen in the PAX demo.

     Toxic Love
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_toxic_love.png
One of the champions the player will face in their journey to the top. The shadowy tentacles sprouting from her back have no doubt helped her get to where she is.

Jim Chad's Tournament

     Titanic 5000
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bbb_titanic_5000.png
"Time for the Weigh In Ceremony!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2024_04_16_at_85802_pm_11zon_3.png
titanic 5000s rematch sprite
A boxer who prides and brands himself on weighing 5000kg with most of it being water weight, regardless of how impractical it is.
  • Acrofatic: Subverted, unlike with the other overweight fighters. He can barely stand, most of his punches are just him carrying the momentum from the players hit, and his Signature Move is literally falling onto his opponent.
  • Authority in Name Only: Despite calling himself the water weight champion, he isn't the champion of the tournament he's first fought in.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: His ability to maintain his exact 5000kg weight through only water (and his ability to drink an entire pool in one slurp) might sound impressive, but they only hamper his performance in the ring.
  • Balloon Belly: He prides himself on his weight, most of which comes from drinking an entire swimming pool's worth of water to give him a massive, bloated paunch.
  • Catchphrase: "No one knocks over the water weight champion!"
  • Difficult, but Awesome: Countering his falling over attack. Hit him too early and you deal little damage. Hit him too late and he falls on you. However, if you hit him when he's almost about to land on you (and his face flashes yellow), you deal a lot of damage, charge up your Thunders, and he'll attempt to fall on you again allowing you to deal a second risky hit.
  • In-Universe Nickname: Prefers being called The Water Weight Champion.
  • Meaningful Name: The RMS Titanic is a massive ship that infamously sunk and Titanic 5000's gimmick is using a massive volume of water to increase his own weight.
  • Scary Black Man: Subverted, while his icon on the fight select menu makes him look smug and tough he's actually far goofier and less intimidating than most other fighters in the game, despite his imposing size.
  • Smug Snake: He demonstrates shades of this in his pre-fight cutscene, making a massive, showboating nuisance of himself.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: His puny legs can hardly support his beloved water weight.

     Chef Diesel
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2024_04_16_at_90007_pm_11zon_11zon.jpg
A stocky and hyperactive boxer who gains even more additional energy by consuming gasoline.
  • Addiction-Powered: His main fight mechanic is that he will sometimes down a drop of gas and fly into a flurry of attacks ending with a charge at the player.
  • Bald Head of Toughness: Diesel is bald and he didn't get far into Jim Chad's tournament by getting lucky.
  • Extreme Omnivore: A given considering his gimmick is drinking gasoline, somehow, without any ill effects.
  • Meaningful Name: Chef Diesel is a rather fitting name for a character who consumes gasoline on a regular basis.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: He may not be all that big but he can dodge around in a number of ways and is extremely quick after just a drop of gas.
  • Shout-Out: His fighting style has two to different Punch Out characters, his gimmick of being Addiction-Powered is lifted from Soda Popinski while his subsequent barrage is highly evocative of Piston Honda/Hondo's Honda/Hondo rush.
  • Signature Move: The above described petrol induced barrage.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: He's quite well built but his legs are so short that he can propel himself forward by vertically spinning his arms.
  • Wheel o' Feet: Played With as he actually demonstrates Wheel Arms when he charges at the player.

     Jim Chad
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_jim_chad.png
A wealthy and egotistical bodybuilder as well as tournament champion who isn't shy about using his weights in the ring.
  • Cool Shades: Fitting with his image as a rich stud.
  • Expy: Given that most other characters conceived as early in development as he was are Expys of Punch Out characters, there's a good chance he's one of Super Macho Man.
  • Eye Glasses: As with all glasses in the game.
  • Improbable Weapon User: The main gimmick of his fight is him weaponizing gym equipment against the player.
  • Meaningful Name: His first name is pronounced like the word "gym" and his last name is also a term for a stereotypical alpha male.
  • Ring Around the Collar: Jim wears a yellow tie during his fight, he also evidently wore it while posing for the statues in his ring.
  • Shout-Out: His last name and hairstyle are evocative of the Chad from the Virgin vs. Chad meme.
  • Shrine to Self: The ring used in his tournament has marble pillars in the corners that end in statues of him from the waist up.

Bruno's Tournameent

     Bruno the Banana
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_bruno_the_banana.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2024_04_16_at_90301_pm_11zon_6.jpg
brunos monkey form REVEALED!
A strange looking tournament champion with an intense love of bananas. He's actually a monkey in a robotic suit.
  • Acrofatic: His weight doesn't slow him down one bit. Justified as his plump body is mechanical.
  • Alliterative Name: Bruno the Banana.
  • Animal Motif: His love of bananas and jungle themed ring make him feel somewhat simian. It turns out this is because he IS a monkey.
  • Badass Cape: He's one of the tournament champions and his official render shows him with a rather snazzy cape.
  • Denied Food as Punishment: Dr. Braun not only denies him a banana, but also shows him a giant banana before crushing it with the Mega Knockout 5000, all because Bruno failed to win the belt for him.
  • Expy: He's one of King Hippo, down to the simplified facial features, having both an animal and fruit motif (hippos and pineapples for King Hippo, monkeys and bananas for Bruno) and having a move almost identical to the Hippo Squish & Squash. His appearance is explained by his body being robotic in nature.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Assuming he's the one who built the humanoid robo-suit.
  • Intelligent Primate: The real Bruno is a small ape controlling the large mechanical body from the inside.
  • Mobile-Suit Human: He's really a monkey piloting a mechanical suit.
  • The Noseless: He lacks a nose, much like his inspiration.
  • One-Winged Angel: When the player knocks the head off of the robot body the real Bruno pops out and stays in plain sight for the rest of the match.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: He has short, wide spread apart legs and a rotund pear shaped body.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Bananas of course! Doubly logical as he's really a monkey.

Dr. Brawn's Tournament

     Dr. Brawn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_20240414_201029_11zon.jpg
"Another wmin for Mwaster Brawmn!"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_20240414_200808_11zon.jpg
BALD BRAWN
A mad (and likely evil) scientist who used his technical know-how to become the champion of his own tournament.
  • Acrofatic: Subverted as he uses his robotic arms and other inventions to fight and has a distinct muffin-top.
  • Bad Boss: To Bruno the Banana, as is shown in Brawn's intro cutscene.
  • Expy: A rather blatant one of the Spiderman villain, Dr. Octopus, down to the color palette.
  • Evil Is Petty: After denying Bruno a banana he demonstrates the Mega Knockout 5000 by crushing a giant banana right in front of Bruno.
  • Eye Glasses: Never seen without a quite fetching pair of green-tinted glasses and/or goggles.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: His entire aesthetic is very in-line with typical high tech supervillainy.
  • In-Universe Nickname: He's known as the Master of Boxology and Science.
  • Meaningful Name: The good doctor might not have much Brawn but he can certainly use his brains to make up for that with his inventions.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: As much as a look at him will suffice to show he's a brilliant inventor who sees no issue with using his creations to become a boxing champion.
  • Smug Snake: He's very full of himself and frequently takes any chance he has to sass others.
  • Verbal Tic: Always pears the letters W and M when speaking,

Super Roger's tournament

     Super Roger
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bbb_super_roger_3.png
A smug boxer who styles himself as a superhero and uses a powered up boxing glove.
  • Attention Whore: If his smug movements and labeling his superpowered glove with a #1 is any indication, he is this.
  • Clothes Make the Superman: Roger's ability to use an attack similar to the player's thunder comes from his large #1 glove.
  • Ring Around the Collar: Sports a cape in the ring to go with his hero schtick.
  • Shock and Awe: Like the player's thunder, Roger's attacks with his special glove are accompanied by electricity.

Sewer(speculation)

     Grizzly Rat

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/render_grizzly_rat_3_3.png
A giant rat that is likely friends or associates with the wild dude.
  • Absurdly Spacious Sewer: Grizzly rat supposedly lives in the same sewer as wild dude, the sewer is so big that it acts as one of the games side arenas and where you supposedly fight grizzly rat.
  • Intellectual Animal: while he may not be that intelligent, he is at least smart enough to feel human emotions and can box.
  • You Dirty Rat!: A big, brutish rodent who acts as one of the player's many opponents.

Final Tournament

     D.T.R

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bbb_dtr.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_3188_11zon.jpg
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_3189_11zon.jpg
The CEO and owner of the Big Boy Boxing association. An extremely corpulent man who can't even directly fight the player, and is thus aided by minions.
