Aegiochusmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiochusmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Lightning Pile, Bolt Break Knockdown, Charging Strike

A God Man Digimon which synthesized the abilities of various species, using a humanoid body as a base. This synthesis of species is said to have resulted from the pursuit of the ultimate state, or omnipotence, dramatically altering its appearance to match its surroundings. This form is composed of data taken from the Dragon-species, so the Dragon-species data lying dormant within its body manifests on the surface of its body, centered upon the crystal in its chest, and establishes itself as armor. This armor is a Powered Suit that affects not only Aegiochusmon's defensive power but also its physical strength, drastically increasing its offensive power.

Aegiochusmon (plus its variations) is the Ultimate form of the Olympos XII's Jupitermon and the protagonist of Digimon Crusader.

  • Chromatic Arrangement: With this version being red, it forms a trio with its blue and green counterparts. It is also known as Aegiochusmon Red.
  • Fauns and Satyrs: Looks like a satyr.
  • Horn Attack: Its "Charging Strike" where it uses its leg strength for a high speed charge that stabs the opponent's head with its horn.
  • Meaningful Name: Aegiochus is from "Jove Aegiochus", the epithet Jupiter/Zeus received as the father of Aegipan.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Lightning Pile" forms a pile out of lightning and impales the enemy with it from overhead, driving them into the ground and "Bolt Break Knockdown" where it rushes in and attacks with fists shrouded in lightning from its horn.

Aegiochusmon Blue

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiochusmon_blue2.jpg
Attacks: Penetra-laser, Wing Cutter, Powered Ignition

A God Man Digimon which synthesized the abilities of various species, using a humanoid body as a base. This synthesis of species is said to have resulted from the pursuit of the ultimate state, or omnipotence, dramatically altering its appearance to match its surroundings. This form is composed of data taken from the Cyborg-species, so the Cyborg-species data lying dormant within its body focuses itself on its upper body, particularly its left side, centered upon the crystal in its chest. It is equipped with a release for the characteristic power of the Cyborg-species, and a lock-on function which doesn't miss its designated target. Its gigantic left arm, the "Mechanization Powered Arm", has the ability to attach and detach, and is able to independently pursue and attack a locked opponent.

  • Cyborg: The kind of tribe this Aegiochusmon has the data of.
  • Detachment Combat: It can do this with its left arm, the "Mechanization Powered Arm".
  • Easily Detachable Robot Parts: Its arm.
  • Hand Blast: Its "Powered Ignition" gathers energy in the palm of the Mechanization Powered Arm while it's attached, then releases it in a single charge and "Penetra-laser" fires a beam from the fingertips of its Mechanization Powered Arm.
  • Winged Humanoid: Jet-Winged to be exact. Its "Wing Cutter" slashes the opponent with the wings on its back while flying.

Aegiochusmon Dark

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiochusmon_dark.jpg
Attacks: Triangler, Plasmadness, Death Dinner

A God Man Digimon which synthesized the abilities of various species, using a humanoid body as a base. This synthesis of species is said to have resulted from the pursuit of the ultimate state, or omnipotence, dramatically altering its appearance to match its surroundings. Because this form is composed of data taken from the Evil-species, the Evil-species data that lay dormant in its body has spread over its entire body, centered upon the crystal in its chest. The malevolence of the Evil-species has flooded its body and soul, and it regards all those it sees to be its prey and hunts down its enemies. The red electric shocks emanating from its body hide viruses, and it could be said that it is a special Digimon that generates viruses in spite of being a Digimon of the Vaccine attribute. The technique where it transmits viruses into the wounds of the enemy it has dealt damage to, undermining it from the inside, is completely menacing.

  • Blade Below the Shoulder: It has a pair of scythe-like blades attached to its arms.
  • The Corruption: The data of the Evil-tribe is described as affecting it this way.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Plasmadness" showers the enemy with electric shocks gathered in its hands.
  • Sinister Scythe: It's "Triangler" where it chops up the enemy with its three scythes.
  • Slasher Smile: Its sports on of these. It's made even creepier with its "Death Dinner" where it mounts and preys on the opponent.
  • Winged Humanoid: It has a pair of wings with black feathers.

Aegiochusmon Green

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiochusmon_green.jpg
Attacks: Bramble Bite, Plant Zone Cradle, Charging Strike

A God Man Digimon which synthesized the abilities of various species, using a humanoid body as a base. This synthesis of species is said to have resulted from the pursuit of the ultimate state, or omnipotence, dramatically altering its appearance to match its surroundings. This form is composed of data taken from the Plant-species, so the Plant-species lying dormant within its body establishes itself as an upper body and arms, centered upon the crystal in its chest. Because it is based on the Plant-species, its weight is especially light compared to the other forms. It is able to fire sturdy thorns from the Busters equipped to both of its arms, and perform tricky movements that hook its thorns in various places similar to Rope Action, or perform others that are used for offense and defense. Its keen movements which capitalize on its equipment and agility can definitely be said to be this form's greatest distinction.

  • Flechette Storm: Its "Plant Zone Cradle" fires thorns from all over its body in all directions.
  • Green Thumb: Taking the data of the Plant-tribe.
  • Horn Attack: Its "Charging Strike" where it uses its powerful legs for a high speed charge that stabs its horn into the opponent's head.
  • Plant Person: Downplayed. Its arms are made of plant matter.
  • Mon Bites Mon Its "Bramble Bite" changes the thorns at the end of its Buster into an evil spirit that bites the enemy.
  • Shout-Out: It's Digimon Reference Book mentions Rope Action, which is a fighting style used by Paulie, one of the five Dock One foremen of Water 7, from One Piece.
  • Vine Tentacles: It has thorny vines in plase of hands and uses them for its attacks.
  • Winged Humanoid: Downplayed compared to the previous two, as its wings are notably shorter.

Aegiochusmon Holy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiochusmon_holly.jpg
Attacks: Lightning Shower, Thunder Slash, Circlet Defense

A God Man Digimon which synthesized the abilities of various species, using a humanoid body as a base. This synthesis of species is said to have resulted from the pursuit of the ultimate state, or omnipotence, dramatically altering its appearance to match its surroundings. This form is composed of data taken from the Holy-species, so the Holy-species data lying dormant within it envelops its entire body, centered upon the crystal in its chest, resulting in a clear heart as serene as a still lake. Through the shields equipped on its arms, it is able to freely transform the powerful vaccines that overflow from its body into weapons such as daggers, or even defensive walls that prevent any kinds of viruses or data from passing through.

  • Badass Cape: It wears a cape. Blue on the inside and white on the outside.
  • Barrier Warrior: Its "Circlet Defense" where it expands its impregnable defensive walls to counter the opponent's attacks by deflecting them, while adding electric sparks to the deflected attacks.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The official translation is "Aegiochusmon Holly". This is incorrect as it's meant to be based on the element Holy, not a Christmas wreathe.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: It is gold and white and a Holy Digimon.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Thunder Slash" where it combines its daggers with lightning to create a whip-like trail, which it uses to slice enemies apart.

AeroVeedramon (AeroV-dramon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aerovdramon.png
Debut: Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01
Attacks: V-Wing Blade, Magnum Crash, Twister Saber, Twister Claw, Dragon Impulse, Wind Guardian, V-Breath Arrow

Veedramon evolved further, and as AeroVeedramon, it became able to move through the sky. Among the rare species of Veedramon, it is said that only veteran warriors that have come through numerous battles are able to evolve, so its existence is already becoming a legend. Not only did its evolution grant it wings, but it also evolved several parts of its body for better grappling, acquiring stronger offensive and defensive power. If you include its attacks from the sky, there are probably no longer any opponents who can rival Aero Veedramon.

AeroVeedramon is an Ultimate level of Veemon, and its most well-known partners are the manga iteration of Taichi Yagami and Rina Shinomiya.

  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its "Twister Saber" and "Twister Claw" where it charges up blades on its wrists with energy and slashes at the foe.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: The official translation is "Earo V-Dramon". They somehow managed to miss-spell "Aero" as "Earo".
  • Blow You Away: Its "Wind Guardian" where it uses its wings to call a flurry of winds that create a wind barrier.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "V-Breath Arrow" shoots out a V-shaped heatbeam that burns an enemy into a crisp in a second.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Magnum Crash" punches foe with fist of glowing energy.
  • Flight: It gains this ability on evolving. Its "V-Wing Blade" where it flies into the air and shoots a blast of heat in the shape of a V one from each wing. Although "V Wing Blade" is a technique that cuts the opponent to pieces with the blades of its wings, its weakness is that it cannot be used if it is not in flight.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Being part of the dramon species.
  • Palette Swap: Digital Monster: D-Project gives it the usual palette-swaps for variants with alternate attributes. It data-attribute sprite just gives it a yellow tint, but virus-attribute recolor has a lot more attention to detail. The resulting sprite has a color scheme more like BlackImperialdramon, which acts as Imperialdramon's virus variant in the game. Unlike BlackImperialdramon, which debuted in the early card game, this AeroVeedramon variant appears nowhere else despite D-Project making the association.
  • Power Gives You Wings: It gains a pair of wings after evolving from the wingless V-dramon.
  • Shaping Your Attacks: Its "Dragon Impulse" where it surrounds itself in an aura of energy shaped like a dragon, then fires it at its opponent; it surrounds the foe and explodes.

Ajatarmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ajatarmon.jpg
Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: Assault Hatchet, Tied-up Ivy, Shotgun Moss

A Plant Digimon that lives in groups similar to tribes. It builds small civilizations deep in the jungle. Basically, they are taciturn and do not speak very much, and when hunting in groups, they contact each other through hand gestures and bring down their prey with outstanding cooperation. Although it is short-tempered and has a violent disposition, it has a pure heart with pride as a hunter.

  • Beware the Quiet Ones: It doesn't say very much, but it has a violent temperament.
  • Combat Tentacles: "Tied-up Ivy", where it uses the vines on its back to ensnare its foes.
  • Combination Attack: Ajatarmon fight as a team and work together to bring down their opponents.
  • Good Is Not Nice: It's a vaccine Digimon that's good at heart, but it also has a short temper.
  • Green Thumb: It attacks using its vines and grassy hair.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: They can be violent and short-tempered, but they have a good heart.
  • Meaningful Name: It's named after Ajatar, a malevolent female spirit of Finnish descent that lives in the woods surrounding the Pohjola mountains.
  • Skeletons in the Coat Closet: It wears the skull of Parasaurmon as a form of cestus, implying that they're its preferred prey. Ironically, Parasaurmon is one of its pre-evolutions.
  • Spike Shooter: Its "Shotgun Moss" attack has it fire several poisonous grass needles from its hair.

Andromon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/andromon_8.png

A human-type Cyborg Digimon. It possesses a fighting strength which can fell a Digimon below Perfect in a single blow. Andromon was developed as a prototype for Cyborg Digimon, and the mechanically-based Andromon and organically-based cyborg Boltmon were manufactured at the same time. This technology was appropriated for MetalGreymon and Megadramon. As a prototype Digimon it possesses neither will nor emotion, and it is faithful to its programmed behavior. It was upgraded with a program based on the data acquired from the Andromon of File Island, and the strength of that program varies.

Andromon is a common Ultimate level of Guardromon, and is notably partnered with Hirokazu Shiota (Kazu Shioda).

  • Chest Blaster: Its "Gatling Missile" where it opens its chest plate to reveal two missile launchers, from which it fires two missiles. The missiles have machine guns in their mouths.
  • Cyborg: It has mostly machine parts, but its face and most of its right leg are organic.
  • Flawed Prototype: One of the first Cyborg Digimon, while it is quite powerful it's obviously been a bit of a botch job, looking half-finished, and lacking any free will of its own.
  • Foil: For Boltmon; the were created as prototypes for cyborg Digimon at the same time, and Andromon is mostly mechanical where Boltmon is mostly organic.
  • Pure Energy: Its "Spiral Sword" where it rotates its right hand till it glows with energy, then throws a blade of that energy at the enemy.
  • Super Prototype: For all Cyborg Digimon.

Angewomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/angewomon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. S

An Archangel Digimon with the appearance of a beautiful woman. Although it was previously classified as an Angel-type, it was confirmed as an Archangel-type because of the greatness of its abilities. As their trait, Adult angels have six wings, and Perfect angels have eight wings. Although its personality is extremely gentle, it cannot forgive those who are crooked or evil, and it won't stay its hand from attacking until the opponent converts. Because of its soul and power, it is said to be a being like a goddess of the Digital World.

Angewomon is the main Ultimate level of Gatomon, and is notably partnered to Hikari Yagami (Kari Kamiya), Mirei Mikagura, and Himari Oofuchi.

  • Angelic Beauty: An Archangel Digimon with the appearance of a beautiful woman.

  • Combat Medic: She can both attack and heal with her holy abilities.

  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Its "Holy Slap" slaps the enemy.
  • Eye Beams: Pink ones in one piece of artwork.
  • Eye-Obscuring Hat: Her helmet prevents them from being seen.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: It wears a glove and has its leg covered on her left, but not her right and her shoes don't match.
  • Flight: She can fly.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: Along with Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold.
  • Good Wings, Evil Wings: Eight angel wings.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Wields a bow while Angemon uses a staff and HolyAngemon uses a sword.
  • Holy Burns Evil: Her attacks demonstrate their strongest efficacy against the evil powers of Digimon.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: Most of her attacks have the holy element.
  • Kick Chick: Her "Holy Kick" where she kick-flips upwards or attacks with a cartwheel, "Holy Dash" is a sliding kick along the ground, "Holy Charge Kick" where she charges up, flips and then flies forward foot-first, "Flying Kick" is a midair kick, and "Angel Wing" where she dive-bombs the enemy and attacks with a cartwheel.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She is one of the first examples of this trope in Digimon, along with LadyDevimon, Lillymon and Rosemon.
  • Our Angels Are Different: The winged humanoid kind.
  • The Paralyzer: Saint's Air can paralyze evil Digimon.
  • Red Mage: She can both attack and heal with her holy abilities.

  • Sensual Spandex: Again, just look at her design.
  • Shock and Awe: Her "Holy Arrow" where she forms a bow with the wings on its glove and shoots a holy arrow of lightning is described as a powerful lightning-strike in her profile.
  • The Straight and Arrow Path: Its gloves can be used as bows.
  • Stripperific: She bares her midriff and has one leg entirely bare. She qualifies.
  • Too Many Belts: Four: two around her midriff and two around her bare leg.
  • Tornado Move: Her "Saint Air" can create a holy tornado.
  • Winged Humanoid: She has eight wings permanently attached to her back.

Angewomon X (Angewomon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/angewomonx.jpg
Its sacred power is amplified, and Angewomon can release pure spirit by touching fire, earth, wind, and water. As a result, fire has the effect of driving away evil, the earth quickly sprouts and blooms, water is purified, and wind makes any Digimon it touches gentle.
  • Elemental Powers: She improves the four classical elements when she touches them.
  • Fire Purifies: Her holy flames drive away evil.
  • Shock and Awe: Her "Grand Holy Arrow" transfers power from surrounding elements and release it as an arrow of lightning.

Antylamon (Andiramon)

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, as well as its Virus variant, see its entry in the page for the Deva.

Arcadiamon (Ultimate) (Arkadimon Perfect)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkadimon_perfect.jpg
Debut: Digimon V-Tamer 01: "The Legendary Power - Digimental"
Attacks: Freeze Tentacles, Dot Matrix

A cursed Digimon artificially created based on the data of various Digimon. Its nature is to evolve by absorbing its opponent's data, but it is unclear if it possesses any sense of self. Because these details are unknown, it is currently being investigated.

Notable users of Arcadiamon include Neo Saiba and Ryuji Mishima.

Argomon (Algomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/algomon.jpg

A Digimon that was generated from a bug in an algorithm. Due to its high-speed processing ability, it uses its countless ivy tendrils as tentacles, and takes complete control of a vast field. Also, when it takes control of a vast field it transforms into a parasite called "Worm Phase".

This form of Algomon was the main antagonist of the Digimon Data Squad movie and the Starter Villain of Digimon Adventure: (2020).

  • Combat Tentacles: Its "Imprisonment" captures the opponent with its vines or attacks with the claws on the ends of its tentacles.
  • Eye Beams: Its "Elimination Line" fires a beam from the eyes on its limbs or electrocutes an enemy with its vines.
  • Forced Sleep: Worm Phase does this and then seals the victim in a pod.
  • Japanese Ranguage: It is entirely possible that Algomon's name is an intentional version of this. Either Algo for algorithm, which it formed from, or Argo from Argos Panoptes,.
  • Plant Person: A humanoid Digimon with vines everywhere.
  • Punny Name: Argomon's original name is a Japanese Ranguage pun on both Argos Panoptes, a giant with thousands of Extra Eyes from Classical Mythology, and the English word algorithm (Argomon's debut movie featured a character named Rhythm to solidify the pun). The English language unfortunately could not preserve the pun.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Hypnos Claw" where it scratches the enemy with clawed, electrified tentacles.

ArkhaiAngemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkhaiangemon.jpg

Attacks: Saint Legion, Heaven's Flame

A Principality Digimon on par with MagnaAngemon and Angewomon. It has a strong sense of concern for others, and is frequently seen interacting with various Digimon. Perhaps it is because of this personality that its fighting style specializes in defense, and since it also excels in ingenuity, it acts as both an adviser and commander in its assigned unit. It usually appears on the battlefield to protect its Luxmon and Angemon subordinates, while issuing direct commands to support them in battle. It seldom goes on a direct offensive itself, and often employs Gargomon and Manticoremon as familiars, summoning them from a maelstrom of flames using the two "Holy Chains" wrapped around its arms.

  • Battle Ballgown: Wears a large dress that obscures its legs, but which in no way slows it down.
  • The Beastmaster: ArkhaiAngemon is the master of the otherwise feral Manticoremon.
  • Eye-Obscuring Hat: As with most other Angemon, ArkhaiAngemon's eyes are obscured by their headgear, in this case the large crown they've got.
  • Kill It with Fire: Its "Heaven's Flame" attack has it unleashing its firepower from its staff to incinerate foes.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: The middle management of Angel Digimon, ArkhaiAngemon generally hangs back in fights or acts as support. Though if push comes to shove it will fight.
  • Sacred Flames: Its Holy Rod emits holy fire, which is used in its Heaven's Flame attack.
  • Summon Magic: "Saint Legion" has it summon Gargoylemon and Manticoremon to attack the enemy.
  • Support Party Member: Being more defense-oriented, it prefers to advise and bolster other Angel Digimon, rather than attack directly.
  • Winged Humanoid: Six wings, putting it just below MagnaAngemon and Angewomon in the Angel Digimon hierarchy.

Armormon (Assaultmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/assaultmon.jpg
A special maneuver Digimon with armored clothing that enhances its combat power. With its humanoid upper body and quadrupedal lower body, it is rumored to be a member of Centarumon's special forces, but no one has confirmed this.

It is the main Ultimate level of Koemon, who can achieve it naturally in Digimon World 3.
  • Arm Cannon: It has two of them.
  • Cyborg: A Cyborg-type Digimon that looks like a centaur.
  • Gatling Good: It has gattling guns attached to its forelegs.
  • In the Back: Its Surprise Attack has it vanish suddenly and attack from behind.
  • More Dakka: Its "Justice Massacre" where all of its guns are shot continuously at one enemy.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: Assaultmon is a cyborg centaur covered in guns. In Digimon Crusader, it's even an evolution of Centarumon.
  • Shoulder Cannon: Also has two of these.

Arresterdramon Superior Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_arresterdramon_superior_mode3.jpg

Arresterdramon's Enhancement Mode, which gained further power due to the Kinkoji that appeared when it wished to become stronger. In addition to its large wings, which have increased its flying ability, and the gigantic Tail Anchor, which has been honed to its sharpest, it is a form characterized by its right arm, thought to be that of Bagramon, that has bestowed mighty destructive power upon Arresterdramon. The Kinkoji, which usually has the role of inhibiting its power, appeared to have the opposite role of empowering it, so it is considered to be proof that Arresterdramon is a Digimon that uses its power for righteousness. With this rapidly increased power, it fights against fiendish Digimon.

It is partnered to Tagiru Akashi

  • Amplifier Artifact: Arresterdramon is now strengthened by the Kinkoji instead of hindered by it.
  • Large and in Charge: It's freaking huge.
  • Red Right Hand: Its right hand is taken from Bagramon, and grants Arresterdramon incredible power. Mercifully, it only uses that power for righteousness.
  • Retcon: Its Digimon Reference Book profile pretty much just straight-up merges it with its Brave Snatcher configuration. Later, in 2020, it was made an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Super Mode: It's in the name.

Arresterdramon Superior Mode: Brave Snatcher

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arresterdramon_superior.jpg

Same as before, except now wielding the Brave Snatcher made from Bagramon's residual data.

  • Bad with the Bone: The Brave Snatcher is Bagramon's skeletal right arm, now wielded as a weapon by Arresterdramon.
  • Flying Broomstick: It can ride the Brave Snatcher for flight.
  • Fusion Dance: Between Arresterdramon Superior Mode and the Brave Snatcher.
  • Super Mode: For Arresterdramon Superior Mode.

Arukenimon (Archnemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arukenimon.png
Debut: D-3 Version 1

A Demon Beast Digimon which has the appearance of the "Queen of Spiders" of Greek mythology. As the queen who presides over all Dokugumon, it is a highly intelligent and extremely cunning Digimon. It is skilled at transforming into a human-like appearance, getting the opponent to let down their guard so that it can approach and completely devour them. Also, because of its extremely short temper and ferocious personality, many Digimon are afraid of it.

It is notable as a major antagonist in Digimon Adventure 02.

  • Adaptational Attractiveness: The Digimon Collectors EX Card depicts Arukenimon posing coyly with more human-like eyes and lips rather than the species' standard gaping "Uh-Oh" Eyes and Glasgow Grin.
  • Arachnid Appearance and Attire: Aside from its monstrous form, it can disguise itself as a woman with subtle spider-themed clothing.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Acid Mist" where it breathes out an acidic green mist.
  • Extra Eyes: It has six more eyes on its abdomen.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: The queen of all Dokugumon, with a bad temper and a fondness for eating other Digimon.
  • Japanese Ranguage: Arukenimon is the romanization for Archnemon.
  • Mythology Gag: The Arukenimon of Digimon Adventure 02 could turn into a human at will, something that is apparently true for all other Arukenimon.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: It has a vaguely humanoid torso attached to a spider's abdomen.
  • Razor Floss: Its "Spider Thread" where it cleaves the opponent with razor-sharp wires or binds them with webbing from its hands.
  • Red Baron: It's the "Queen of Spiders".
  • Spider People: A horned humanoid torso sprouting from a spider's globular body.
  • Zerg Rush: Its "Predation Spider" where it can attacks the opponent with the countless carnivorous Dokugumon hidden in its abdomen, which can also do this with Kodokugumon.

Astamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/astamon.jpg
Attacks: Hellfire, Maverick

Though it is a Perfect, it possesses power surpassing that of an Ultimate, and is a Prince of the Dark Area which governs a legion of Demon Digimon. It shows cruelty to its enemies and kindness to its friends, and because of that charisma it is expected to gain a considerable number of followers among Demon Digimon. The bullets fired from its prided machine gun, "Oro Salmón", possess their own will, and will definitely chase the opponent to the "end of hell".

Astamon is known for being the false partner of Ryouma Mogami.

Asuramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asuramon.jpg

A legendary Digimon which possesses four arms and three faces, it suddenly appeared within a computer as it was analyzing ancient Hindu cultural documents. Of Asuramon's three faces, one is a face of wrath, one is a face of mercy, and the last is a face of blessings. Contrary to its outer appearance, it honors justice, so it is said that if it sees injustice it will thoroughly attack it without yielding, and it can certainly be said that its personality is like an avatar of a god of light.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Its bio describes it as honoring justice, yet several of its appearances, such as Digimon Frontier and Digimon Fusion, portray it as a bad guy.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Asuramon is a Demon Man Digimon, but also a good guy.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Asura Shinken" note  attacks the foe with flaming punches.
  • Everything's Better with Rainbows: Its "Kidoairaku" note  uses its emotions to fire rainbow-colored shock waves at the enemy.
  • Fireballs Its "Asura Shinken" shoots fireballs from its four fists.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: All of its 4 arms are armed with flames!
  • Multiple Head Case: Subverted. Asuramon has three heads, but they don't seem to have separate personalities.
  • Playing with Fire: Its "Asura Ennetsuken" note  uses punches to unleash bursts of heat that explode on impact, "Asura Bakunenken" note  shoots a blast of fire from all four fists at once and "Kidoairaku" generates an arc of fire from its hands to trap the enemy.

AtlurBallistamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/atlurballistamon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Wars
Attacks: Plasma Crack, Rocket Bunker

A form that evolved from Ballistamon. It has assimilated electromagnetic armor into its thickened metallic body, and become able to reduce damage and attacks with electrical discharges. Combined with AtlurBallistamon's kind-hearted personality, it stands in the way of its enemies as a protective wall for defending its comrades on the battlefield.

AtlurBallistamon is the Ultimate form of Ballistamon, and is partnered to Zenjirou (Jeremy) Tsurugi in the manga.

  • Barrier Warrior: Even without its electromagnetic powers, it can still function as one.
  • Extendable Arms: Used in its Rocket Bunker attack.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Shock and Awe: It can shoot lightning bolts.

AxeKnightmon (DarkKnightmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darkknightmon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion

The fused figure of SkullKnightmon and Axemon, who have exchanged cups of brotherhood. AxeKnightmon, who brings the older brother's ingenuity together with the younger brother's mobility, has become a first class warrior. The skills of AxeKnightmon, who can use the "Twin Spear" it wields to thrust, slash, sweep, or throw as the situation calls for, are very advanced, and it is said that there are few people powerful enough to fight AxeKnightmon fairly to its face and defeat it. While AxeKnightmon possesses that much competency, it will use any means to achieve its goals and won't hesitate to get its hands dirty, and sometimes it will be willing to betray its own comrades. AxeKnightmon, who is furnished to an impeccable depth wit merit, is an opponent you don't want to turn into an enemy, if you can help it.

AxeKnightmon was the true leader of the Twilight (Midnight) army, and was partnered to both Nene and Yuu (Ewan) Amano. It's also a Dark Ultimate form for Hikari's Gatomon.

  • Badass Cape: Still has SkullKnightmon's cape.
  • Black Knight: AxeKnightmon's description doesn't exactly paint it as a shiny heroic knight in the vein of most of the Royal Knights (a group to which it has no connection). It is an incredibly skilled warrior but also very focused on achieving its goals to the exclusion of everything else and isn't above treachery.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its left arm has Axemon attached to it.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Will do whatever it takes to win. AxeKnightmon is already powerful enough that it doesn't exactly need to cheat in order to do so, but it will anyway without hesitation.
  • Double Weapon: The Twin Spear is a double-ended lance.
  • Fusion Dance: One between SkullKnightmon and Axemon. SkullKnightmon is the one calling the shots.
  • Jousting Lance: As befitting of a knight Digimon, it wields a medieval lance like those seen at classic tourneys, with the twist that it has two ends.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Thanks to Axemon, it hits hard and fast.
  • Non-Indicative Name: The Twin Spear is not actually a double spear, but a double lance.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.

AxeKnightmon X (DarkKnightmon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_darkknightmonx.jpg

An increase in the power it possessed as a single Digimon caused it to reach the Mega level, resulting in this form. Its evil intentions have been amplified, and now it aims not only for the world, but even for a place among the Seven Great Demon Lords.

  • Ambition Is Evil: It wasn't exactly lacking for ambition to begin with, but now AxeKnightmon has set its sights on becoming one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, who already have seven members.
  • Blow You Away: It can summon tornadoes, which it uses to crush the opponent's limbs.
  • Femme Fatalons: Its gauntlets now have additional golden claws added to them.
  • Power Crystal: Glowing green ones dot its body.
  • Sinister Scythe: It can merge its "Vortex Spear" and the "Shoulder Blade" (the part of it that was Axemon) in order to form the Cyclone Deathscythe.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Quite literally. Acquiring the X-Antibody has caused AxeKnightmon to gain a level.
  • Tron Lines: Has gained red ones on its pauldrons, boots, and most of what was Axemon.

Beastmon (Bastemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bastemon.jpg

A Beast Man Digimon that is called the goddess of cats. It loves to be showy and has a sly personality, and its specialty is using its charmingly sparkling eyes and the jewels worn all over its body to bewitch the opponent, allowing it to manipulate them as it desires. Generally, if one becomes the victim of Beastmon's glamour, they are completely eviscerated. Although it excels in nimbleness with its flexible movements, it is also powerful despite its appearance, and the claws on its hands are sharp enough to cut even a rock to pieces. It is said to be at loggerheads with Nefertimon, who is an avatar of light.

A Beastmon is a known member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army.

  • Cat Girl: Is based on Bastet, an Egyptian goddess with the head of a cat.
  • Dance Battler: Its "Helter Skelter" bewitches the enemy with its belly dance and "Vampire Dance" gets close to the opponent while dancing, then stabs the enemy and sucks out all the blood in their body, down to the last drop.
  • Inconsistent Dub: Its original dub name was Persiamon, and English materials tend to juggle between using Bastemon and Beastmon at a moment's notice.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: A vampiric cat person.
  • Retcon: In 2010, its design was tweaked, with its black parts being turned grey.
  • Sexy Cat Person: A half-human and half-cat Beast Man Digimon that dresses like a belly dancer.
  • The Rival: To Nefertimon, who it does not like.
  • Vampiric Draining: Its" Vampire Dance" and "Kyūketsu Amethyst" note  both do this. All though "Kyūketsu Amethyst" does this with the enemy's MP.

Betsumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/betsumon3.jpg
Attacks: Cold Gag, Tsukkomi Punch

An eccentric Digimon that impersonates all sorts of Digimon in order to confuse the enemy. While it is a Puppet Digimon, similarly to Etemon and Monzaemon, it is a rare type capable of disguising itself as various types of Digimon by changing the Digimon Suit (?) it wears.

A Betsumon is owned by Tagiru Akashi.

  • An Ice Person: Its "Cold Gag", an attack which utilises its dubious gaze and cryptic gags to stop opponents in their tracks, as if they have been frozen.
  • Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: Directly referenced with its "Tsukkomi Punch"note  a punch which despite only having the power of a straight man's interjections has the ability to mentally drain the opponent.
  • Cat Folk: Its default disguise is a Gatomon.
  • Gonk: Its face has a very creepy expression and is retained regardless of disguise. Not to mention the... ah, "highly noticeable" bulge down there.
  • Meaningful Name: Its design is based on elements from Gatomon and Tailmon Betsu, a female seiyū who was part of the V Jump Editorial Department that cosplayed as the cat-mon. Some of its notable features include a prominent umbilical hernia as well as a black tail ring based on the Holy Ring.
  • Shapeshifter Default Form: Its default disguise is a Gatomon.

BigMamemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bigmamemon.png
Attacks: Big Mame Bomb, Buster Dive

A Mutant Digimon which exists as the boss of Mamemon, which hold the alias of "Smiley Bomber". As a matter of fact, it's suggested that it is an aggregation of Mamemon. Since normal Mamemon are the same size as Child Digimon, they possess a degree of power that couldn't even be imagined from their appearance, but as its name suggests, Big Mamemon is dozens or even hundreds of times the size of a Mamemon. However, the reason why a "Mamemon" is this size is still unclear. Its personality is extremely gentle, and it hates conflict and battle. It is always playing with its Mamemon followers.

One is owned by Ren Tobari.

  • Benevolent Boss: Usually, but in a fight it uses its beloved Mameon as explosives.
  • Cephalothorax: A gigantic, spherical head with arms and legs.
  • Fusion Dance: Speculated to be one of several Mamemon. Or, given its size, a lot.
  • Gentle Giant: Its personality is extremely gentle, and it hates conflict and battle.

  • Mutant: Like all other Mamemon.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Its "Big Smiley Bomber" creates a bomb from its fist and throws it, or uses one of its Mamemon followers as a weapon. It's rumored that after using this technique, its size gets smaller.

BlackMachGaogamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackmachgaogamon.jpg
A Cyborg Digimon that carries rocket engines with enormous propulsive power on its back. The sudden introduction of "Black Digitron" into its body resulted in it taking on this black form. Although it is now able to stay airborne for longer periods at a time, its maximum speed has decreased.
  • Megaton Punch: Its "Winning Knuckle" is a blow from its fist which boasts supreme impact strength.
  • Mighty Glacier: To an extent, it cannot reach the same speed as its original counterpart in terms of flight, but it can fly longer.
  • Mighty Roar: Its "Howling Cannon" unleashes an ultrasonic wave attack with its howl.

  • Arm Cannon: Its "Rapid Fire" fire homing missiles from his arms.
  • Energy Weapon: Its "Golden Triangle" fires a light beam from its whole body that disassembles its enemies.
  • Evil Wears Black: Averted. BlackRapidmon is under under the Vaccine Attribute; its color does not show that it's evil, it is supposed to help it hide in darkness.
  • Palette Swap: Of Rapidmon.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackwargrowlmon.jpg

A Perfect Cyborg Digimon that evolved from BlackGrowlmon. Like BlackGrowlmon, its Virus-species nature is expressed by its darker appearance, and it is called the "Black Destroyer Dragon". Its upper body has been metallized with the strongest metal, "Chrome Digizoid", and it is able to take flight with the two vernier attached to its shoulders. Also, since the cable-like object extending from the back section is extensible, it can be used to impale the opponent.

With the appearance of a giant flower, it is a Perfect Plant Digimon that grew countless vines as roots from its body. Despite its strange appearance it is very docile, and due to its personality it rarely appears before others. For a plant it has an unusually long life span, and although the petals around its body (or face, really) fall out whenever the seasons change, it has the special ability to grow back new petals. It hates arid regions, and always inhabits areas near water.

Blossommon is an Ultimate form for Floramon, being partnered to Saki Kimijima. Another one was captured by Tagiru Akashi.

Bombermon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bombermon.png
Debut: Vital Bracelet BE
Attacks: Combo Blast, Limit Explosion

The self-proclaimed "Explosive Artist" who loves explosions more than anything else. Its behavioral principle is only about how beautifully the bombs it creates will detonate, and has no feelings regarding the damage caused by their explosions. It is capable of generating its standalone "BB" bombs by snapping the fingers on its left hand. The BBs receive Bombermon's instructions, move to the target of the explosion, attach themselves to the target, and then detonate. The explosive power of the BBs varies depending on Bombermon's emotions; the higher its spirits are, the more powerful they will be. During battle, it uses its "Combo Blast", in which it attaches multiple BBs to a target and sets off a chain explosion, and its "Limit Explosion", in which it detonates a single BB, for different purposes. "Combo Blast" is not very powerful, but has a short detonation time and is highly responsive, and although "Limit Explosion" takes a certain amount of time to detonate, it possesses extreme explosive force.

  • Badass Finger Snap: Its artwork shows it doing one. It's how it summons its BBs.
  • Cartoon Bomb: Its BBs are these and its body also seems to be made from them.
  • Homing Projectile: The BBs home in on Bombermon's intended target upon creation.
  • Mad Artist/Mad Bomber: A twofer example. Bombermon only cares about making its bombs explode beautifully, with absolutely no regard for who or what is in the way.
  • Spontaneous Weapon Creation: It can create more bombs by snapping its fingers.

Therefore, it not only crosses the ocean with gentlemanly conduct before weak opponents, and so forth, but is also skillful at making its way through the world. It isn't brutal enough to challenge one to an unreasonable battle, but if challenged to a battle it will meet the enemy with all its power.

A mutation of Cerberumon, who resides in the Dark Area and is known as the "Watchdog of Hell". It is feared that the data born from the "malice of humans", overflowing on the Internet as text and images, could have an impact on the Digital World, so it mutated into this form in order to guard against the influx of that data. However, it is a cunning and ferocious hound who turns even its clients into prey for its claws without mercy when its rewards are not good enough.

While it has a calm demeanor, it actually prefers hunting and has quite a belligerent personality. When it comes to hunting, it takes out various weapons from the basket it carries around, and hunts its targets using all kinds of attack methods. Its targets are primarily Wolf-species Digimon, and when it finds a Fangmon, which possesses especially wicked wolf data, it will focus on Fangmon to the exclusion of everything else, and chase it down until the hunt is complete. Cherrymon (Jyureimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cherrymon.png
Attacks: Cherry Bomb, Illusion Mist

Woodmon evolved further, and as Cherrymon, it is a Digimon that has acquired extreme intelligence and power. Called the "Lord of the Deep Forest", it is a terrifying Digimon who tempts Digimon who have gone astray in the dark deep forest to go further and deeper into the woods, so that they will never break out of that forest. The fog it generates from its body displays illusions, tempting the opponent into the forest depths, where it uses its branches like tentacles and ivy to capture the opponent for its own nutrition. If you notice a Woodmon that has lived a long life, it is probably wise to fell it before it evolves to Cherrymon.

  • Combat Tentacles: Its "Tsuta Kougeki" note  whips or ensnares the foe with vines.
  • Enchanted Forest: This is the sort of forest where Cherrymon typically lives, and it uses its illusion magic to make it even easier for people passing through to become hopelessly lost.
  • Evil Old Folks: All Cherrymon, since any Woodmon that evolves into it has to have lived a long time just to reach the Ultimate level.
  • Fog of Doom: Its "Illusion Mist" creates a thick fog to confuse the enemy with illusions.
  • Fluffy the Terrible: Its dub name is Cherrymon, which initially doesn't sound very scary. That said, it is based on a cherry tree, which has an important meaning in Japanese culture.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Its yellow eyes glow and if you get lost in its forest you just might be doomed.
  • Master of Illusion: It can do this with the fog it generates.
  • More Dakka: Its "Cherry Bomb" shoots explosive cherries from its foliage. It tempts with its fragrant smell, but certain death awaits if this fruit is eaten.
  • Mythology Gag: The Cherrymon of Digimon World protected itself by covering a forest in mist.
  • Red Baron: It is called the "Lord of the Deep Forest".
  • Treants: An ambulatory tree that lives deep in the forest, can control plant life to use as a weapon, and causes trespassers in its woods to become hopelessly lost in the forest.
  • Vampiric Draining: Its "Energy Absorption" absorbs vitality from an enemy.
  • When Trees Attack: Much like the Woodmon it evolves from, fittingly enough.
  • Wise Tree: It's far more intelligent than its prior stage.

Chirinmon (Tyilinmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tyilinmon.jpg

Said to be an ancient Digimon that was born at the creation of the Digital World, it is a Holy Beast Digimon that has been handed down through legend as boasting strength on par with an Ultimate, even though it is a Perfect. Although it is a Digimon that possesses mighty strength, it deeply detests conflict, and it is said that it will never shed blood. Although it has a deeply compassionate personality that loves everything living in the Digital World, when it is up against a being that commits senseless killings, it is said that it will inflict merciless punishment.

Attacks: Hard-Swung Homerun, Dadada Minchi, Roast of the Pig

A feminine Digimon clothed in a pig costume. It was originally an Angel-species Digimon, but it committed a crime that incurred the wrath of Ofanimon and was banished from heaven, and that's when it took on its current appearance. As it is normally optimistic, it doesn't mind that it was changed into this appearance, and it has a very cheerful personality, but if it gets hungry it will be voracious enough to start getting all worked up, and it will take on a ferocious personality. If it becomes starved, it will go completely out of control. Because it wants to change its ferocious personality, it seeks to reform itself by going on a journey.

It is an evolution of Opossummon and is notably partnered to Airu Suzaki.

  • Expy: Of Zhū Bājiè from Journey to the West, though gender-flipped and a human girl in a pig outfit rather than the pig man that the original was. She's described as being an angel-species Digimon that was banished from Heaven for incurring Ofanimon's wrath, similar to how Zhū Bājiè was banished for drunkenly hitting on the moon goddess Chang'e. Both are also optimistic, but gluttonous characters, and she wields a metallic version of his nine-toothed rake.

An Insect Digimon that evolved via bouldering course data. The pickaxes on its arms are used not only for piercing things such as cliffs, but also for tapping and hammering the kunai-shaped pitons it carries in the underside of its wings into sturdy rocks. Skillfully using its pickaxes and pitons, it clings onto any dangerous spot, and moves quickly and brilliantly like a ninja.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crescemon_20th.jpg

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yatagaramon.jpg

Possessing three legs, it is a bizarre Bewitching Bird Digimon. Although its jet-black body presents an evil image to those who see it, it is told that it is the Digimon who guides the chosen to the "Golden Land" in the eastern Digital World. The eastern Digital World is a region where there are still many mysteries, and it is said that the "Golden Land" is protected by multiple sacred barriers. Although it is said that with Yatagaramon's guidance the barriers will be released, traditionally, only those who surmount the "Threefold Trials" submitted by Yatagaramon will finally arrive at the "Golden Land", and it is told that those who were not able to endure the trials are dispatched to the Dark Area.

As an evolution of Falcomon, it is partnered to Minoru Hinata.

  • Casting a Shadow: Its "Haguro" note  uses its black feathers to change the area around it to pitch-black darkness for 3 kilometers.
  • Extra Eyes: This version has four eyes while the 2006 anime version has the regular two.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Its name in Digimon World DS is "Yatakaramon".
  • Out of Focus: Like its Rookie form, Falcomon, Yatagaramon is largely overshadowed by its 2006 redesign. However, with Falcomon's appearance as a partner in Digimon Survive, it finally got to shine after over a decade of absence.
  • Unusual Weapon Mounting: Its "Mikafutsu-no-kami" note  concentrates the energy produced from the Dokkosho on both of its wings in its forelegs, then fires it. Digimon who have suffered this technique have their digital cells disassembled to a state of "0"s and "1"s.

CrysPaledramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cryspaledramon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Encounters

A Dragon Man Digimon that only a select few Paledramon are said to be able to evolve into. The shell of ice it has grown has changed into armor that covers its entire body, drastically raising its defensive and offensive power. Thanks to the icicles mounted on its wings, it now remains unchanged when facing any hot Digimon. Also, it can even control air currents due to the cold air it blasts from its thrusters, allowing it to fly at higher speeds even during snowstorms.

It is the Ultimate level of Blucomon.

  • An Ice Person: Mostly made of ice and uses ice-based attacks.
  • Armored Dragon: It wears armor that is also made of ice.
  • Logical Weakness: Finally adverted, now is strong enough that heat and fire do not melt or weaken it.
  • Non-Mammalian Hair: It has fur on its chest much like its pre-evolutions. It also now has Anime Hair.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Like its pre-evolutions it's partly made of ice, but is now much spikier.
  • Weather Manipulation: Its "Callous Dimension" generates a snowsquall which causes everything around it to be frozen in ice, including the enemy.

Cyberdramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyberdramon.png

A Dragon Man-species Cyborg Digimon whose body is clad in a unique rubber armor, with which it can endure any attack. When Virus Digimon break out on the Computer Network, it suddenly appears out of nowhere and annihilates them all. However, it is a lone warrior that is not affiliated with the group of justice, the "Virus Busters", and its true colors are shrouded in mystery. As for its unique rubber armor, not only does it have excellent defensive ability, but it also has a feature it unleashes that amplifies its offensive ability.

Cyberdramon is the Ultimate form of Monodramon, and is partnered to Ryo Akiyama and Ryuji Mishima.

  • Cybernetic Mythical Beast: A cyborg with Draconic Humanoid with implanted rubber armor, mechanical limbs, numerous exposed cables, transparent sections showing its inner wiring, and a metallic plate clamped over its head and face. A redesigned version appears in Digimon Fusion with a blue metallic exoskeleton, a cluster of simple Glowing Eyes on its otherwise featureless face, and a tail ending in a large arrowhead/jet intake.
  • Cyborg: A cyborg dragon.
  • Disintegrator Ray: Its "Erase Claw" sends out super-oscillatory waves that destroy configuration data from both its arms, completely erasing the space surrounding the opponent. If you suffer this attack, you are annihilated without leaving behind a single scrap of data.
  • Draconic Humanoid: A draconic being with a distinctly humanoid body shape. It's outright classified as a Dragon Man Digimon.
  • Dressed All in Rubber: Armor, but the point stands.
  • Good Is Not Nice: It's a Vaccine attribute and fights againts any Virus Digimon that it encounters, but does so brutally and is not affiliated with any heroic group, making it's allignment questionable.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: A cybernetic dragon.
  • Wild Card: Though it fights virus Digimon, it has nothing to do with the Virus Busters and its allegiance is unknown.
  • Wolverine Claws: Its "Cyber Nail" slashes the enemy with its sharp claws, or sends shockwaves from its claws.

Cyberdramon X (Cyberdramon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyberdramonx.jpg

Its unique rubber armor has turned into a hard material which covers it from head to toe. That hardness has given it a polished, beautiful look. It moves stealthily, making every step count, and exterminates Virus Digimon. Its "Erase Claw" has been sharpened and enhanced further, and it also acquired a Special Move called "Extreme Tailer", which compresses the Vaccine energy it charges its wings with and releases it from its tail.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Its "Extreme Tailer" compresses the Vaccine energy it charges its wings with and releases it from its tail.
  • Disintegrator Ray: Its "Erase Claw" sends out super-oscillatory waves that destroy configuration data from both its arms, completely erasing the space surrounding the opponent. If you suffer this attack, you are annihilated without leaving behind a single scrap of data.

Cyberdramon (2010 anime)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyberdramon_282010_anime29_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion

An otherworldly Digimon rumoured to have turned up from another world. Since both its language and thinking patterns are completely different, it is regarded as fundamentally impossible to communicate with Cyberdramon. It is dangerous, with extreme combativeness befitting its otherworldly appearance. Because its goal in battle is to acquire a lot more energy, it is a Hunter that tries to prey on any Digimon that meets its eyes. Also, because it is able to sneak up on its enemies by taking on the colors of its surroundings, Cyberdramon is very difficult to capture.

Cyberdramon (2010) is one of the main members of the Blue Flare army, and partnered to Kiriha (Christopher) Aonuma.

  • Eyeless Face: It has eyes, they're just covered by a helmet.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: What its Glutton Fang attack does. With its ribcage.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate, same as regular Cyberdramon. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Shout-Out: Seems to be one to Alien. It has the look of a Xenomorph (eyeless face, viciousness, bio-mechanical looks, sharp tail), and it's bio labels it an "alien" type Digimon.

Cyberdramon: Cyber Launcher

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metalgreymon_cyberlauncher.jpg

Cyberdramon turned into a weapon, becoming the "Heavy-weapon Mode" that assists other Digimon. Because it is a form of Cyberdramon, it is listed here.

  • BFG: Cyberdramon turns into a giant laser cannon for this form.
  • Equippable Ally: Becomes one for MetalGreymon (2010 Anime Version).

DarkSuperStarmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darksuperstarmon.jpg
Produced from the observational data of a black hole, it is a Digimon dyed in darkness. It has left behind its dreams and its wishes, and it appears to be so heavily burdened by its past that it uses its sunglasses to shut out all light.

Datamon (Nanomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/datamon.png

A Machine Digimon used for nanomedicine. It was originally a Vaccine-type Digimon whose purpose was to restore computers that have crashed, but its neural pathways were destroyed in an attack by a powerful Virus Digimon, causing it to go berserk. It will reconfigure the data in even computers that are in normal working condition to its liking (of course, making a mess out of it), causing them to malfunction. Its specialty is destroying all sorts of data, and as such no matter how formidable a Digimon, the data forming their body can be destroyed by Datamon with ease.

One is owned by Ren Tobari.

  • Cyborg: Datamon is mostly mechanical, but it's left eye is clearly organic.
  • Having a Blast: Its "Plug Bomb" fires its fingers as bombs.

DeckerGreymon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deckergreymon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion
Attacks: Deckerdrauncher, Heavy Tailhook, Smokey Fang

The "Assault-Strike Mode", which added Deckerdramon's offensive and assault abilities to MetalGreymon (2010)'s power, is a form which has attained a balance between its offensive, defensive, and locomotive abilities. DeckerGreymon's comprehensive combat strength is equivalent to that of a battalion composed of 324 combat-model Digimon, so even if a hypothetical group of enemies tried to lie in wait for it, with its great firepower and tenacious defensive power, and its ability to cover ground without trouble from any kind of rough terrain, it will trample the enemy line in a violent assault. It's worth mentioning that it can "use multiple Special Moves against opponents", and thanks to this ability, DeckerGreymon can fight against army corps even on its own. Also, the energy that is enhanced within its body to the utmost limit grants DeckerGreymon a final bold move. Even if you are able to take DeckerGreymon down, it isn't finished. The immense energy that is released all at once from DeckerGreymon's body becomes a tremendous shockwave that scorches the earth for 10KM in every direction.

  • BFG: Deckerdramon's head has been merged with MailBirdramon's tail to form a massive rifle.
  • Fusion Dance: Of Deckerdramon and the 2010 version of MetalGreymon, which is itself a Fusion Dance of the 2010 version of Greymon and MailBirdramon.
  • One-Man Army: Has the strength of three-hundred and twenty-four Digimon.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Rollerblade Good: Deckerdramon's tank treads effectively function as this.
  • Taking You with Me: If you actually manage to take down a DeckerGreymon, it will explode and take out everything in a ten kilometre radius.
  • Walking Arsenal: Mixes Deckerdramon and MetalGreymon's already impressive arsenals together.

Deramon (Delumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/delumon.jpg
Attacks: Royal Nuts, Gorgeous Beak

Even though it appears to be a Bird Digimon at first glance, it is a strange Digimon with verdant, lush vegetation growing from its back. Like Kiwimon, it possesses some of the characteristics of plants and is not able to fly. As its pride is quite high, it believes itself to be nobility, but it considers the fact that it cannot fly to be mortifying. However, even though this Digimon has only evolved to a Perfect, its combat ability is possessed of high merit. It boasts of the crown it wears on its head, and its beak that shines gold.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: It wears a crown on its heaad.
  • Acrophobic Bird: It's a bird Digimon that can't fly, much to its dismay.
  • Badass Adorable: It looks rather precious for an Ultimate.
  • Beak Attack: It's "Gorgeous Beak" where it pecks at the enemy.
  • Bullet Seed: Its "Royal Nuts" fires curious objects similar to eggs or nuts from the thicket on its back.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Deramon is another decently-powerful Digimon that's barely big enough to match a Rookie-level in terms of size. The one seen in Digimon Adventure, for instance, only matches the height of a Floramon by way of its crown.
  • Planimal: It has a flowering shrub growing from its back.

Destromon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/destromon_6.jpg
Attacks: Three-Turret Platform, Juggernaut Blast, Long-Range Buster Cannon

Its armaments include the "San Renshoho" (Three-Turret Platform) on its arms, the "Juggernaut Blast", which is fired from its chest, and the "Long-Range Buster Cannon" on its back, all of which have high firepower, so not even dust will be left behind when attacked by Destromon.

  • Chest Blaster: It has a large cannon on its chest, which it uses for its Juggernaut Blast attack.
  • Energy Weapon: All of its cannons fire lasers.
  • Fusion Dance: Of Bemmon and the Juggernaut.
  • Hollywood Cyborg: Based on its concept art, its body is organic with the armor and cannons coming from the Juggernaut.
  • Shoulder Cannon: It has three very large cannons on each shoulder, used for its Long-Range Buster Cannon attack.
  • Tiny-Headed Behemoth: Its head is tiny compared to its limbs and bulky torso.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dexdorugreymon.jpg

An Undead Digimon of the Prototype Digimon "DORU Series" that was experimented on in search of further evolutions, and was said to, at the time of the experiment, resemble its final form. Since it keeps preying on the Digicores of other Digimon, it is active despite its deceased condition, and is seeking a massive Digicore in order to evolve. As it instinctively hunts for Digicores, the eye portions of its head and snout are covered in armor, and the sharp tips of the blades on its tail and wings are used to skewer many Digimon and then prey on their Digicores.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It has a skewer on its tail.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation:
    • The official translation, DORUguremon. It should be translated as "Death-X-DoruGremon", not "Death-X-DORUguremon", as "Greymon" is not translated as "Gureimon". In addition, it has the same oddity of completely capitalizing the "DORU" acronym in its name as the rest of its line.
    • Its Chinese name is "DeaxDolGreymon". Like "DexDoruGreymon", it shortens "Death-X", but this time into "Deax". In addition, it once again apples Japanese Ranguage to "DORU".

Digitamamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/digitamamon_8.png

An ultimate Digimon which has the appearance of a "Digitama", the beginning and end of all Digimon. It is said that this Digitamamon, being at the apex of evolution, will not evolve from normal Digimon, and will never evolve unless it fuses with data from another dimension. One is owned by Ren Tobari.

  • Dismotivation: It's "Enigma" destroys the foe's spirit with rainbow bubbles or a giant heart.
  • Light 'em Up: Its "Swing Egg" where it attacks the enemy with waves of multicolored light, or rams the enemy with its body.
  • One-Hit Kill: Its "Nightmare Syndrome" and "Enigma". When suffering these attacks, all Digimon have their vital functions brought to a halt.
  • Stronger Than They Look: A Digimon that's just an egg with two legs doesn't sound or look very intimidating for an Ultimate level Digimon...and then you see it actually fight.
  • Waddling Head: At first it appears to be an egg with green muscular legs, but it is revealed to have purple arms which are hidden in its egg shaped exoskeleton.

Dinobeemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dinobeemon.jpg

A Mutant Digimon which Jogress-evolved from Stingmon and ExVeemon. A chimera of a dragon and an insect, it is a Digimon which possesses the name Terrible Bee. It is hard to classify its species as either a Dragon type or an Insect type, but its Insect nature is more pronounced. It flies through the sky with its four wings, and accurately perceives the opponent with the compound eyes on its head, so it can reliably choke the life out of its opponent. Also, Dinobeemon possesses a considerably ferocious personality.

While it's a Jogress between ExVeemon and Stingmon like Paildramon is, it can evolve from Stingmon by itself in Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer. It is partnered to Ken Ichijouji.

  • Shark Man: It's a merman with the features of a hammerhead shark.
  • Super Swimming Skills: Justified as it was created from data about the world's best swimmers.
  • Threatening Shark: Downplayed. While it look intimidating, it has a fantastic sense of fair play and enjoys beautiful swimming.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hangyomon.jpg

An Aquatic Beast Man Digimon clothed in a wetsuit. It has a cheerful personality, and is always swimming around the "Net Ocean". A colossal Beast Dragon Digimon whose form was released through the Interface on its brow by the potent life-force data of the legendary beast, the "Dragon", which slept within the deepest parts of its Digicore, and that holds the alias of "Final Enemy". With its overwhelming stature it can demolish any dauntlessly courageous Digimon, and even the attacks of the "Nightmare Soldiers" are deflected with one sweep of its wing. Like Taomon, it is a being that lives and lurks within the darkness, but unlike Taomon it specializes in death-curses and assassinations. Also, it is able to turn its talismans into shikigami and command them.

  • Alternate Character Reading: Its name is based on an alternate reading of the symbol for Tao.
  • Asian Fox Spirit: It's variation of Taomon.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Taomon. Doumon uses its magic for more deadly purposes.
  • Familiar: It can summon Shikigami from its paper talismans.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Like Taomon, it wields a calligraphy brush. Its "Kimontonkou" note  seals the enemy in a magical labyrinth either by painting a barrier in the air with its brush or creating a circle of paper talismans. It's "Kimontonkou Genwakujin" note  changes the enemy's perception of the magical labyrinth, such as by making another Digimon invisible to them.
  • Palette Swap: It is one of Taomon.
  • Paper Talisman: Its "Jugonsatsu" note  shoots explosive paper talismans.

Dragomon (Dagomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dagomon.jpg

An evil god Digimon called the "Sinful Priest of the Ocean Floor". It is thought to have evolved from a computer virus that would infect the computers aboard ships and the like, then knock their direction and course out of order. It bundles up its innumerable, multiplying tentacles and takes on a humanoid appearance, but its natural shape is a strange evolution of a Mollusk Digimon. For its defeated opponents, it wears a rosary around its neck, and adopts a pose similar to mourning.

Dragomon was a background character in Digimon Adventure 02. In addition, one is owned by Tagiru Akashi.

  • Combat Tentacles: Its "Thousand Whip" where it whips the opponent with its infinite tentacles.
  • Cthulhumanoid: Based on the Trope Namer himself and named after Dagon in Japan.
  • Expy: It's an obvious homage to Cthulhu, and both its anime appearances have it served by Divermon-like creatures in reference to the Deep Ones.
  • Prongs of Poseidon: Its "Forbidden Trident" throws its trident, with tremendous physical strength.
  • Red Baron: Known as the "Sinful Priest of the Ocean Floor." In American media, it is also referred as the "Depraved Monk of the Deep".

Duramon

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, see its entry in the page for the Legend-Arms.

    E-F

Entmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/entmon.jpg

Debut: Digimon Pendulum Z II
Attacks: Dryad Stinger, Blasted Disaster''

A Plant Digimon with a body woven together and fused from decayed trees. Its whole body has rotted away in several places, and mold grows on the parts where the bark is exposed. Its body is packed with a large number of insects, acting as the muscle that moves its body around. It is very terrifying to see the insects spill out of its joints all over its body each time it takes off with its dead leaf wings.

  • Devoured by the Horde: Its Blasted Disaster is a swarm of data-eating bugs that it breathes out.
  • Dracolich: A particularly bizarre variation on this as it's a vaguely draconic Planimal made from dead and rotting trees.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Its "Dryad Stinger" attack has it skewer enemies on its tusks.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Entmon is a vague mix of several things, with tusks, horns like a deer, a clubbed tail, and a dragon-like skull and wings. Oh, and it's a walking tree.
  • Planimal: It's a vaguely draconic monster made from dead trees and the mold and bugs that inhabit them.
  • Punny Name: Ent, from the Ents of Tolkien's work, but also for entomology, the study of insects.
  • When Trees Attack: Entmon's body is made up of rotten trees bound together by ropes, belts, and a lot of insects which allow it to move.
  • The Worm That Walks: It's a walking mass of trees and insect-like digital lifeforms acting as a single organism.

Eosmon (Ultimate) (Eosmon (Perfect))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eosmon_perfect.jpg
Attacks: Beat Press, Hexa-Thunder, Cutting Edge

The form Adult-level Eosmon evolved into when a problem occurred as it was carrying out a mission. Its transparent panels have developed significantly, and has acquired high-speed movement with its enormous wings and high offensive power with its gigantic hands. In addition, it can also create illusions that bewilder the enemy as mirrors of themselves. It transforms into its Beast Mode by rearranging its transparent panels, and attacks the enemy.

Eosmon is known for being the partner of Menoa Bellucci.

  • Deadly Disc: Its "Cutting Edge" throws the panel-shaped energy in its hands to slash the enemy.
  • High-Tech Hexagons: Its arms and wings are made of these and its clothes are patterned with them, as are its visor and the individual panels on its wings. It can also create hexagonal energy discs.
  • Master of Illusion: It can create illusions that are identical to its opponents.
  • One-Way Visor: It has a visor with the same hexagon pattern as on its wing patterns.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Hexa-Thunder" unleashes an electric attack from its antennae.

Etemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/etemon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 3

An unidentified Digimon that suddenly appeared in the Digital World. It calls itself the "King of Digimon", and its fighting strength is beyond imagination. And, well, it's rumored that it pulls the strings of the mysterious Digimon "Monzaemon". It is dressed in its reinforced Saru Suit which can endure every attack, and even today it bustles about the whole world for the sake of its unending battles.

Etemon is known for his role as a villain in Digimon Adventure, being the self-proclaimed king of the Server Continent and antagonizing the Chosen Children at every turn. One also served as a major antagonist and follower of Demon in the early chapters of Digimon V-Tamer 01, before being replaced by Neo Saiba.

  • Beware the Silly Ones: It's a braggart monkey rockstar that's usually portrayed as a more comedic antagonist. However, it's still an Ultimate level and should not be taken lightly.
  • Casting a Shadow: It's "Dark Spirits" shoots a ball of darkness which wipes out anything it touches and "Kuuchuu Dark Spirits" uses Dark Spirits while in midair.
  • Cool Shades: All Etemon wear a pair of these.
  • Dismotivation: Its "Love Serenade" sings a serenade that causes foes to lose their will to fight. Can also cause the Dark Network to arise and unleash bolts of dark energy.
  • Elvis Impersonator: Has a tendency to be voiced this way in English localizations, and by the same actor almost every time, no less.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Its "Monkick" where it kicks the foe, "Grateful Knuckle" where it punches the enemy. and "Dash Grateful Knuckle" punches the enemy while sliding.
  • Large Ham: Anytime one shows up in an anime, expect it to steal the show.
  • Magikarp Power: The original v-pets had Etemon as the Ultimate form of Sukamon, who is almost as weak as Numemon. By comparison, Etemon is strong enough to be portrayed as a major antagonist at least twice.
  • Musical Assassin: Its "Dark Musical" where it sings a discordant song.
  • Mysterious Past: Exactly where Etemon came from is unclear.
  • Red Baron: It's the self-proclaimed King of Digimon.
  • The Rival: According to Volcamon's profile, the two are close rivals due to their power and affinity for music.

Etemon Chaos

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/etemonchaos.png

Etemon Chaos is the form of an Etemon after fusing with the Dark Network, with the head and upper body of an Etemon, however it's lower body is just a mass of Dark Network cables.

  • Ambiguously Related: The premise of its design—a humanoid body emerging from the top of a much larger sphere—echoes Apocalymon. The Digimon Adventure novelization directly connects the two, as Datamon was tampering with the firewall (sealing Apocalymon away).
  • Body Horror: Fusing with the Dark Network caused an Etemon, to turn into Etemon Chaos bulking up its body rather grotesquely.
  • Casting a Shadow: Etemon Chaos' Dark Spirits Chaos fires a ball of darkness.
  • Cool Shades: It wears a set. Seems to be a species trait.
  • Cyborg: Etemon Chaos has the head and upper body of Etemon, however it's lower body is just a mass of Dark Network cables.
  • Dark Is Evil: The Dark Network and his attacks Dark Spirits and Dark Spirits Chaos, a ball of energy made of darkness.
  • Fusion Dance: Of an Etemon and the Dark Network.
  • One-Winged Angel: When an Etemon fuses with the Dark Network, it became much more muscular with a giant mass of network cables below now called Etemon Chaos.

ExTyrannomon (Ex-Tyranomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/extyranomon.jpg

A Puppet Digimon that sneaks around within a Tyrannomon-shaped plush toy. The reason why it is a Tyrannomon plush toy is unclear, but it is likely that the mysterious Digimon that is stealing away inside just broke into the plush toy that was closest. However, this plush toy possesses power rivaling that of Monzaemon at its limits and the defensive power of an impregnable fortress, so ordinary Digimon and the like are completely unable to oppose it. However, like Monzaemon, if nothing is pulling its strings, then it is nothing but an ornament.

  • Care-Bear Stare: It's "Pretty Attack" fires pink hearts from the puppet at the enemy.
  • Casting a Shadow: Its "Black Matter" fires an orb of darkness from the Digimon inside the puppet.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite some of its more unsettling elements (its "Black Matter" attack, as well as evolving from Raremon in its v-pet debut), it's regularly portrayed as a vaccine Digimon.
  • Mighty Glacier: It has power on par with Monzaemon, coupled with an amazing defense courtesy of its plush suit.

Flaremon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flaremon_20th.jpg

Although its regal mane and imposing manner may be intimidating at first glance, this strong willed Beast Man Digimon will brave any hardship for the sake of its comrades.

  • Playing with Fire: Its "Gurenjuouha" note  concentrates flames and the spirit of a lion into its fist, and firing it as an energy wave in the shape of a lion
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Its "Kurenai Shishi no Mai" note  where it dishes out a mad flurry of grappling moves using its blazing punches and kicks to strike the enemy repeatedly.

Footmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/footmon_b.jpg

The Digital World's foremost sportsman Digimon. It loves sport, preferring soccer above all else, and is always practicing dribbling and shooting with a ball of light. Its dream is to create a competitive soccer league with other Digimon.

  • Cyborg: Is labeled as this type, and certainly looks the part.
  • Expy: Looks uncannily like a Beelzebumon, albeit smaller and more interested in sports than killing.
  • I Know Madden Kombat: It attacks with electric soccer balls.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Shock and Awe: Both of its attacks have lightning in the name and its official art shows electricity forming around it.

Frozomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/frozomon.jpg

A Machine Digimon that inhabits areas with heavy snowfall and removes snow vigorously. Contrary to its reliable side that rescues those who get lost in snowstorms and the like, it is also a troublesome Digimon who uses all its strength to eliminate those who interfere with its rescues, even if they are Babies. It is a cold region specialist capable of not only removing snow, but also melting ice with its red-hot sword.

  • Hot Blade: Its Defrost Blade has it use the Heat Sword on its left arm to pierce its foe.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fumamon.png
Debut: Vital Bracelet BE

A ninja Digimon that has mastered the excellent assassination technique of Fuma-ryu Ninjutsu. It makes its living as an assassin, disposing of its targets upon receiving a request. It specializes in melee attacks that capitalize on its outstanding physical ability, but since it also uses projectile weapons such as shurikens, it has attack styles that leave few openings, even at mid and long-range. It will relentlessly pursue its designated target, even if they escape, so the only way they can save themselves is by defeating Fumamon.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Its tail ends in a blade, though it's not used for any named attacks.
  • Dual Wielding: It wields a pair of ninjato for its Sharihotsu attack. It also has a pair of daggers it can wield.

    G-H

Garbagemon (Gerbemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garbagemon.png

A trash can from a desktop computer which gained life and evolved into a Mutant Digimon. Unlike Sukamon, which mutated from discarded scum data, this Digimon is the trash can itself. Until now garbage Digimon were said to be the absolute weakest, but with the arrival of Garbagemon that conventional wisdom will probably be reversed. Also, the trash can can act like a black hole, so that anything that is sucked into the trash can disappears from the Digital World without a trace.

  • Abnormal Ammo: Its "Unchi Bazooka" note  is a vile attack in which it fires from its bazooka, constructed from empty cans fastened together, poop.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: It initially doesn't look like much, and it appears to be another gross Digimon that attacks with feces. It literally looks like trash. However, it's a surprisingly capable fighter despite its looks, and even has a One-Hit Kill move in the form of the black hole in its trashcan. Its bio even states that, while garbage Digimon are said to be the absolute lowest of the low, Garbagemon serves to challenge that status quo.
  • Throwing Your Shield Always Works: Its "Dirty Saucer" throws the garbage can lid at its opponents like a boomerang.
  • Toilet Humor: It lives in a garbage can and fires poop from its bazooka.
  • Weapons That Suck: Garbagemon's can is said to contain an Unrealistic Black Hole that it can use as a last resort. It's said to eliminate anything that's sucked into it without a trace; fitting, as Garbagemon is based on a computer's trash bin.

Garudamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garudamon_8.jpg
Debut: Pendulum 4.0 Wind Guardians

Garudamon X (Garudamon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/garudamonx.jpg

As a result of wanting to be more connected with nature and noble spiritual training, it gained a clear insight into justice and evil. That ability has allowed it to deal a crushing blow against evil by swooping down from high in the sky to the earth at super-speed, without turning a blind eye to evil entities off in the distance. With its superhuman strength, it easily wields its gigantic totem pole "Great Spirit", a symbol of its love for nature, and fights for other Digimon by turning into a fierce god in order to protect nature.

  • Magical Native American: Its design has a feathered headdress and it wields a totem pole-themed spear. The attack that summons said spear is called Great Spirit. This is despite it being named after a mythical Hindu figure.

Generamon

Generamon was made an official Digimon through the Digimon Web Dot-art Contest in Japan, but it has not been formally released since then. It is said it was altered to become Darcmon, but seeing as how Generamon was supposed to be a Perfect Japanese male warrior Digimon and Darcmon is an Adult female angel Digimon, it's hard to see how that could have happened.

Ghilliedhumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ghilliedhumon.png
Debut: Vital Bracelet BE
Attacks: True Eyes, Core Snipe

A Digimon that inhabits forested areas and specializes in sniping. Its skill as a hunter is very high, and it blends in with the forest using the camouflage suit that covers its whole body and snipes without its prey knowing its location. Although it is a Digimon with a calm disposition, it has a strong attachment to its territorial hunting grounds, so those who carelessly step into Ghilliedhumon's hunting grounds will be sniped without warning. Since it prefers slow movements so that it can mask its presence and the sounds it makes, it is poor at moving swiftly.

Gokuwmon, who was born from within the boiling magma of Boot Volcano, extracted data from numerous databases to serve as models in its pursuit of strength, becoming a Combat Digimon that awakened to the combat instinct it was born with. Although it is journeying across the Digital World to challenge formidable enemies and satiate the craving engraved inside of its heart, if it encounters an opponent that it judges to be strong it will insolently request a battle, regardless of the situation. However, due to the "Kinkoji" which was placed on Gokuwmon's head by Sanzomon when it was born, its head will be constricted and it will pass out if it swears to excess, so it reluctantly observes decorum. Gokuwmon is proficient in a large number of martial and magical arts, and since the "Nyoikinkobou" in its hand is extensible, it can inflict strikes on enemies that are far away, and is also an all-purpose weapon that can fire a lightning cannon while connected, and fire lightning bullets as pistols when split in two.

A Grappling-species Beast Man Digimon that took in the data of various fighting games, using their original secrets to crush the opponent. Although it rapidly spins the turbines on both of its arms and feet to unleash ever-changing techniques, the turbines rotate by being blown into all at once by the fighting spirit emitted by its Digicore, and can't run on mediocre emotional strength. GrapLeomon inherited the data of the "King of Beasts", Leomon, and so that strong will to justice rapidly spins the turbines to their extremes.

It usually lurks within the tunnels it carved deep underground, and seldom comes to the surface. Also, as Groundramon tends to prefer to inhabit veins of the rare Huanglong Ore, it has been discovered that it is very likely to find the elements of Huanglong Ore comprising the scales covering its body. Its personality is extremely ferocious, and as most people lose their life when they encounter one, it is one Digimon for which the details of its ecology are not well understood.

It is one of the Dracomon line's Ultimate levels, and is partnered to Ryuji Mishima.

It is also known for being a long-lived Digimon, capable of long-term biological activity while consuming a miniscule amount of energy. Weak, injured Digimon that occasionally sink to the bottom of the ocean turn into its prey. It barely ever moves on its own accord.

  • Giant Enemy Crab: It's a colossal isopod, which are related to crabs.
  • Living Weapon: Its missiles are organic and look like fish.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Its Colony Torpedo attack is a slow one with the missiles being organic and looking like fish. They still explode, though.

Gyuukimon (Gyukimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_gyukimon.jpg
Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: Yatsuka Senbaku, Majin Byōtan, Senhō Tsuchigumo

A Demon Beast Digimon with an ox-like upper body and a spider lower body. With a brutal and insidious personality, it is a monster that chases after those who see it for days, and launches surprise attacks from behind every night. Despite its large build, it skillfully uses its spider legs to move quietly without making a sound. The bells hanging from the tips of its horns emit a sound only when it attacks, so those who have seen Gyuukimon will constantly be frightened by the sound of the bells. The dissonance produced by the bells deprives the opponent of their senses, making Gyuukimon's attacks advantageous.

  • Arm Cannon: Its Senhō Tsuchigumo is mounted on its left arm in place of a hand.
  • Deadly Gas: It releases poisonous gas from the cylinders on its back for its Majin Byōtan attack.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: It can pick off targets at great distances with its Arm Cannon.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Its English name adds an extra "u".
  • Nuckelavee/Our Centaurs Are Different: A mix of the two. It has a humanoid upper section and a multi-legged lower section with its own intact head, but the ox half sprouts from the head of the spider.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: Its upper half is a humanoid ox with an Arm Cannon.
  • Poisonous Person: Its spider-like lower half gives it two poisonous abilities. For its Yatsuka Senbaku, it spews webbing and poison from the spider half's mouth while its Majin Byōtan releases a poisonous gas from the cylinders on its back.
  • Spider People: It's a minotaur from the waist up and a giant venomous spider below that.
  • Stealth Expert: Its spider legs allow it to move silently.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: It can track its targets for days while remaining silent. If they get too far away, it can just snipe them with its Arm Cannon.
  • Super Spit: It spits webbing and poisonous liquid from its lower mouth.
  • Youkai: It's a double reference to the Gyuki and the Tsuchigumo.

Helloogarmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/helloogarmon.jpg
A Digimon in a chaotic state, overflowing with an enormous amount of magical power, whose form was released through the Interface on its brow by the sinister magic data of the mythical warg, which slept within the deepest parts of its Digicore. That enormous amount of magical power is transformed into magical flames, which keep spewing forth endlessly. The ultra-high-temperature magical flames have consumed even Helloogarmon itself, so most of its body has been replaced by those flames. It has also lost its sense of self, and its sole governing principle is to incinerate everything around it.

Helloogarmon is a dark evolution of Loogarmon and is partnered to Eiji Nagasumi.
  • Empty Shell: It's lost its sense of self, replaced only with a burning desire to incinerate everything and everyone around it.
  • Evil Counterpart: As with all the Loogamon line, it's one to a corresponding member of the Dorumon and Ryudamon lines. In Helloogarmon's case, that'd be DoruGreymon and Hisyaryumon. It's also this to Soloogarmon, acting as the Loogamon line's dark evolution.
  • Foil: To its co-evolution, Soloogarmon, being a mindless berserker consumed by its power, where Soloogarmon manages to control it.
  • Power Incontinence: Even worse than it was as Loogarmon. The power of the uncontrollable flames within its body has essentially taken over Helloogarmon.
  • Recurring Element: It's the canine to DoruGreymon and Hisyaryumon's dragons. It also fills the role of the dark evolution in a lead Digimon's line.
  • Wreathed in Flames: The fires that it once kept contained inside it have now spread all over its body, covering pretty much everything short of its head.

Hippogriffomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hippogriffomon_6.png
Attacks: Heat Wave, Sonic Voice

A mythical beast Digimon which has the appearance of a chimera. It is said it will become a Griffomon if it evolves, but the details are not clear. Its intelligence is not as high as Griffomon's, and since its being is closer to that of a beast, its personality is also ferocious.

Hippogriffomon was one of the original Chosen Children's Digimon, as shown in Digimon Adventure tri..

  • Blow You Away: Its "Heat Wave" where it blasts super-heated air from its mouth.
  • Inconsistent Dub: It tends to either go by Hippogriffomon or HippoGryphonmon depending on the game.
  • Mighty Roar: Its Sonic Voice attack.
  • Our Gryphons Are Different: A hippogriff Digimon that can evolve into a true griffon, and with bird talons in place of equine hooves.

Hisyaryumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hisyaryumon.png

A Beast Dragon Digimon clad in thick, shining scalemail and who soars the skies unbounded, taking this form when the fierce combat data of the "dragon" and "general" that lay slumbering in the depths of its Digicore was released by the Interface on its forehead. It has great mobility, allowing it control over nearly the entirety of the vast Net airspace. Its demeanor is usually sagacious and calm, akin to a god; however, the moment the crystal-like orbs it holds in both hands are scratched, its wrath will be incurred, turning it into a god of anger that will attack with all its might. Not only that, it is said that the orbs in its two hands are in actuality the souls of its fallen comrades; the orb in its right hand is the soul of "Kinryū", while the orb in its left hand is the soul of "Kakuryū", and Digicore information lies hidden within each of them.

Hisyaryumon is the main Ultimate level of Ryudamon, and is partnered to Shēngjiàn Fāng.

  • BFS: Its "Seiryūjin" note  where it transforms itself into gigantic katana made of steel and bisects the enemy in a single stroke.
  • Mon Bites Mon: Its "Jūouguruma" note  where it surrounds the enemy with its body and attacks with its teeth and coils.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: A classical eastern-style dragon.
  • Power Crystal: Its "Tenryū Suishoukyū" note  where it throws its crystal balls, which ricochet as they hit enemies and the surrounding environment.

Huankunmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/600px_huankunshou_new_century.jpg
Debut: Digimon New Century
Attacks: Solitary Confinement Bubble, Ice Clutter Charge, Tidal Vortex

A giant Aquatic Digimon whose whole body is covered in scales rivalling Digizoid in hardness. It has a gentle personality, prefers clear water, and protects the area surrounding lakes from environmental pollution. When feeding, it will jump out of the lake, moving as if it is swimming in the air, and swallow flying Digimon whole to fill its stomach. In addition, due to its large size, it is easily targeted, so it often blends in with flocks of Xiquemon and moves with them. So when moving, it will surround the entire flock with a large amount of bubbles to protect itself. Since the bubbles refract light and make the entire flock, including Huankunmon, transparent, they cannot be seen from their surroundings.

  • An Ice Person: Its Ice Clutter Charge attack has it spit countless sharp icicles from its mouth.
  • Bubble Gun: Its Solitary Confinement Bubble attack produces bubbles from its fins that cover and restrict the enemy.
  • Chameleon Camouflage: When it moves, it hides among flocks of its preevolution Xiquemon. It then surrounds itself and the Xiquemon in bubbles, with their retractive surface making the entire flock invisible.
  • Flying Seafood Special: It's based on the Kūn, a mythical fish of Chinese origin that turns into a bird. This Digimon goes the extra mile and incorporates elements of both.
  • Gentle Giant: It's massive in size, and is a gentle Digimon that protects clear water from pollution.
  • Making a Splash: Its Tidal Vortex attack generates a whirlpool that shoots a pillar of water towards its foe.
  • Odd Name Out: As with other Digimon appearing in Chinese Digimon media, its name ends in 兽 (shòu), which means "beast" and is used as an equivalent to the -mon at the end of most Digimon's names. Unlike its pre-evolution Xiquemon, it wasn't immediately named outisde of Digimon New Century, leaving its name as Huànkūnshòu until it got a Digimon Encyclopedia entry sometime later; as a result, all anyone initially knew it as was "Huankunshou".

    I-J

IceLeomon (Panjyamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/iceleomon.jpg

A Beast Man Digimon of proud justice. For some Leomon, who go through repeated training day after day in order to defend justice, it is a form that acquired power over the cold in the freezing lands of the Digital World's Ice-Snow Area, and evolved. By being in the cold, it tempered its mighty will and body, and they cannot be broken by any attack.

  • An Ice Person: Its "Reikikou Hazan" note  where it cuts the foe with an icy sword.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Reikikou" note  slows the foe with a blast of freezing-cold breath.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/panjamonx.jpg

Called the "Cool-headed White Lion", it exterminates those devoted to evil for the sake of justice, and it's starting to be said that those battles are unparalleled in their ruthlessness. Its "Yuki Hanabi" note , an axe said to be cut from ore of the legendary rare metal, "Mithril", holds the power to easily pulverize the permanently frozen icebergs which hinder its path like a series of skyscrapers.

  • Badass Cape: It wears a blue version of Leomon X's cape.

Indramon (Indaramon)

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, see its entry in the page for the Deva.

Infermon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/infermon.png
Attacks: Hell's Grenade, Cocoon Attack

A Perfect Digimon which has an appearance like a long-legged spider. Its form is usually in an outstretched state, with its head and limbs extended, but it is also able to assume a cocoon form, with its limbs retracted into its body. When it goes into its cocoon form, its defensive power is raised such that every attack is deflected, but it can only go forward in a straight line, and the fact that it cannot modify its trajectory is a clear weakness. It is able to penetrate every Network, despite the strength of their security. If Infermon is released from the Network, the world will probably then collapse into chaos.

Infermon is the main antagonist of Our War Game, and is also the main partner Digimon of Arata Sanada.

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Some kind of spider-cocoon creature.
  • Foe-Tossing Charge: Its "Cocoon Attack" where it charges the opponent while in its cocoon form.

An Evolution of Dorulumon that became able to walk on two legs. It has taken on the appearance of a knight equipped with the gigantic, drill-shaped spear "Sturm Stinger" and its slash-and-defend dual-use "Zasshu Shield" note . Its ability for single-point penetration is the best, and because of this distinctive characteristic, it leads single-unit charges on its enemies to break open escape routes for those behind it to follow.

JaegerDorulumon is the Ultimate form of Dorulumon, and is partnered to Akari (Angie) Hinomoto in the manga.

Jagamon (Jyagamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jyagamon.jpg
A mimicking Digimon which is able to hide itself from opponents with its potato-like appearance. Although it has a timid personality and doesn’t much like to fight, its hidden combat abilities are extremely great. In fact, with its peaceful personality it loves to eat and sleep. Since its rind is several orders harder than it looks, it can curl up its limbs and head to allow it to endure the opponent’s attacks. The visible part of its sprout serves as radar which can perceive the motion of enemies above and behind it, so even if its head is hidden it can take in the conditions of its surroundings, and understand them.

A Jyagamon is owned by Ryouma Mogami.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Jyaga is short for jyagaimo 「じゃが芋(ジャガイモ)」 which means "potato" and it looks alot like one.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Jyagamon would rather not fight, but it is still an Ultimate level Digimon, so when it does fight, it shows.
  • Plant Person: It's "Smash Potato" where it fires pieces of its rind and "Fried Charge" which manipulates objects with green energy.

Thanks to its legs, it can fly unhindered at sonic speeds even when doing low passes or flying in areas with many obstacles.

It's the Ultimate level for Jazamon.

  • Airstrike Impossible: Capable of flying at extreme speeds at low altitudes and among obstacles.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Its "N.S.B.M" where it counterattacks with the laser on its tail, even if it is taken down from behind.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jewelbeemon.jpg

Jewelbeemon is an Ultimate form of Kunemon, and is partnered to Ryo Tominaga.

Jokermon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jokermon_b.jpg

A mysterious and elusive Demon Man Digimon. It appears suddenly on the battlefield, bringing down Digimon who are key to the tide of the battle with a blow on their blind spot, deciding the outcome of the battle. It is said that if Jokermon sides with you then victory is nearing, and it calls itself the "Passing Trump". Although it is a Digimon shrouded in mystery, investigations suspect it is in the same genus as Piedmon.

A Jokermon is in the possession of Tagiru Akashi.

  • Expy:
    • Digimon-wise, it's one of Piedmon. Not surprising, given they're both Demon Man clown Digimon. Its profile mentioning it's figured to be related is even tacit acknowledgement that, yeah, there's a lot of similarities.
    • It's also a dead ringer for The Joker himself, given its purple and green clothes, its white face, and even sporting a hat similar to Harley Quinn's original design.
  • Monster Clown: Well, monster jester, but the point is all the same.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it an Ultimate. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Sinister Scythe: Carries one.
  • Slasher Smile: Its expression.
  • Villainous Harlequin: Bordering on Monster Clown.
  • Wild Card: It is based on the concept of the Joker card, after all.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/karatenmon.jpg

Kimeramon (Chimairamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chimairamon.png
Attacks: Heat Viper, Hybrid Arms

A Composite Digimon for which each part that comprises its whole, such as its arms, legs, body, and tail was put together by synthesizing various Digimon. How this kind of synthesis was performed is shrouded in mystery. In contrast to Machinedramon, who was synthesized from the metal parts of several varieties of Digimon, it was combined from organic parts, and whether it is Machinedramon's prototype, or it was built to use against Machineramon, is still uncertain. However, the one thing that is known is that, because of Kimeramon's terrifying combat instinct, it is nothing but a powerful force of destruction.

Notable users of Kimeramon include Ken Ichijouji (unsuccessfully) and Ren Tobari.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Heat Viper" where it shoots heat rays from its mouth or four hands. Even if an opponent tried to dodge this, the shock-waves of this attack would knock them to the side.
  • Flesh Versus Steel: It's made of a mix of organic parts as opposed to Machinedramon's mechanical parts.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Literally. Kimeramon is made out of a jumble of parts of prominent early Digimon; specifically, it has Kabuterimon's helmet, MetalGreymon's hair, Greymon's lower jaw and torso, Devimon's upper arms, Kuwagamon's lower left arm, SkullGreymon's lower right arm, Angemon's upper wings, Airdramon's lower wings, Garurumon's legs and Monochromon's tail.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Its "Hybrid Arms" where it attacks with its four arms.
  • Retcon: It was originally Mega Level according to Digimon Adventure: Anode/Cathode Tamer and Digimon World 2, but was brought down to Ultimate Level later on in the franchise.

KingSukamon (GreatKingScumon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/greatkingscumon.jpg

The King of Sukamon who rules over a landfill called "Dust Kingdom", its size is gargantuan. It wears something similar to a crown and is highly intelligent, and attacks with brute force in addition to throwing poop.

  • Bishie Sparkles: Amusingly, its official artwork gives it these.
  • Dung Fu: It can do this just like the standard Sukamon can.
  • Fish Eyes: As with Sukamon, its eyes are permanently wall-eyed.
  • King Mook: Is literally just a larger Sukamon with a crown made out of cobbled-together junk.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: It is a Sukamon variant.
  • Retcon: From its introduction, it was known as KingScumon, at least overseas. Its Digimon Reference Book profile throws in a "Great".
  • Shaped Like Itself: Its attack "Uchi Naga" (poop throw) has it... throw poop at people.
  • Toilet Humor: As with all other Sukamon variants, it's a giant, living anime turd which attacks by throwing poop at enemies.

Knightmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/knightmon.jpg

A largely-built Warrior Digimon whose body is clad in armor made from heavyweight Chrome Digizoid. It possesses enough power to easily wield its cherished greatsword even while dressed in that armor. According to one theory, it wears the armor on its body in order to restrain its mighty, uncontrollable power. Also, Knightmon is a Digimon that exists to faithfully serve its master, and its personality is deeply loyal. For that reason, it is in distress over becoming either wicked or righteous, depending on its master's attribute, in order to follow through on those convictions.

A Knightmon is a noted member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army, and it's also partnered to Gorou Matayoshi.

  • BFS: Its "Berserk Sword" where it wields the Berserk Sword crazily and cuts everything in half with a single stroke, though it also has a pair of regular swords.
  • Blow You Away: Its "Grand Smash" where it, blows the opponent away with its sword instead of cutting them and "The Duel" where it slashes with its sword to send a spinning blade of air at the enemy.
  • Combination Attack: Its "Checkmate Break" where it uses a special formation with a group of eight PawnChessmon (White), surrounding them with an aura and then stabbing together at the opponent.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Not only does it look the part, but it is deeply faithful and loyal to whomever it calls its master. Depending on said master, however, this can also cross over into Knight Templar.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: Due to its loyalty, it's under distress that it will become more like the person they serve, even if they are wicked.
  • Undying Loyalty: To the point that it becomes more like whoever it serves.

Kumbhiramon

For tropes pertaining to this Digimon, see its entry in the page for the Deva.

Kyukimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kyuukimon.jpg

A Bewitching Beast Digimon with an appearance resembling the "Kamaitachi", a legendary yōkai. The hairs that cover it from head to toe indiscriminately tear anything in their surroundings to pieces with their sharp edges, so it is definitely a deadly weapon-like bladed beast. Its speed is fast, and it tears the whole body to pieces while raising a whirlwind.

Kyukimon is the main Ultimate level of Kotemon, and the one it can naturally evolve into in Digimon World 3.

  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Both of its arms are tipped with blades instead of hands.

  • Wicked Weasel: This is apt given what it's based on.
  • Youkai: It is based on the Kyuki, a bladed weasel that is similar to the Kamaitachi.

LadyDevimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ladydevimon_8.jpg
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. S
Attacks: Darkness Wave, Poison

A fallen angel Digimon in the form of a female with noble presence. Because of its strength due to the incomparable purity of its Dark Side Power, it is said that the limits on its spread and growth on personal computers is "0".

At least two notable LadyDevimon have appeared in anime, the first as The Dragon of the Dark Master Piedmon in Digimon Adventure and the second as one of the three Co-Dragons making up the Demon Corps of Digimon Adventure 02. A third is notably partnered with franchise Breakout Character Mirei Mikagura.

  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Downplayed; their profiles often describe them as women with a noble air.
  • Barrage of Bats: Its "Darkness Wave" unleashes a wave of dark red bats with purple cyclone or firebats that burn opponent to a crisp.
  • Bondage Is Bad: LadyDevimon, a Fallen Angel, is wrapped in chains and skintight leather. Some of her chains and stitches even penetrate her skin for Body Horror.
  • Casting a Shadow: Its "Poison", this skill includes multiple attack modes:(Summon a magic circle、Attack with energy breath、Release a heart-shaped energy wave、Spray poison smoke and Body attack) to converts the opponent's power into dark energy, destroying them from the inside. The more powerful the opponent is, the more complete the technique is.
  • Distaff Counterpart: To Devimon, despite being a level higher.
  • Everything Sounds Sexier in French: LadyDevimon's "Poison" is said with the French pronunciation.

  • Living Clothes: A scrap of living leather floats near her head, and the right leg and boot of her outfit have scowling eyes of their own.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Much like Angewomon, though LadyDevimon's style is more fetishistic.
  • Playing with Fire: The bats unleashed in Darkness Wave can be on fire.
  • Shock and Awe: Its "Stun Whip" shocks the enemy with a bolt of electricity released from its hands.
  • Sigil Spam: Her left boot and the back of her left hand have the mark of evil on them.

LadyDevimon X (LadyDevimon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ladydevimonx.jpg

It created the familiar "Volee" note , who always acts cautiously around it from behind, causing those who it glares at to be instantly paralyzed, and the extended armament "Zerdrucken"note , which traces the movements of its left arm, from its dark energy, which has been amplified because of the X-Antibody. It unleashes its "Ende Brechen" note  with its Zerdrücken which crushes the enemy's Digicore directly.

  • Chain Pain: Its "Grame" note  destroys the enemy's body from within using its chain.

Lamortmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lamortmon.jpg
Attacks: Kaisaisō, Kōhabattō, Fūga Rekkanjin, Gōon Kieizan

An Ultimate Digimon whose hidden feral instincts have been unleashed. It will immediately swoop down on Digimon that express their disgust towards it and keep smashing them until they stop breathing. Although it is an impetuous Digimon that has uncontrollable impulses, it seems that there are some individuals who are ashamed of and despise their own impulses.

The two "Jūran-maru" longswords it carries on its waist have vacuum blades surrounding them which become stronger and sharper the more it unleashes its ferocity. Taming a rampaging Lamortmon is impossible unless one has built a great deal of trust with them.

Lamortmon is the Ultimate form of Angoramon and is partnered to Ruli Tsukiyono.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its Kaisaisōnote  attack has it slice open its enemy's stomach with its claws.
  • The Berserker: Compared to the more beauty-focused SymbareAngoramon, Lamortmon is a far more feral fighter, though some members of its species are ashamed of this. A rampaging Lamortmon can only be calmed by someone who's earned its trust.
  • BFS: It wields two longswords called the Jūran-marunote , which also come with vacuum blades that get sharper the more ferocious Lamortmon becomes. Its Kōhabattōnote  attack has the Digimon repeatedly swing them with all of its might to pulverize the enemy, and the vacuum blades can be unleashed via its Fūga Rekkanjinnote  attack.
  • Good Is Not Nice: It's still a vaccine Digimon. It just shows far less restraint in battle.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: This big bunny isn't nearly as composed as its prior forms.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Its name is derived from "La Mort", which is French for "The Death".
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Its most destructive attack, the Gōon Kieizannote , has Lamortmon convert what little reason it has left into more ferocity before slashing and smashing its foe to smithereens with the Jūran-maru

Lavogaritamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lavogaritamon.jpg

A Dragon Digimon with large wings that lift even its heavy body effortlessly into the air, and well-trained leg strength that allows it to stand imposingly. It dwells in the magma beds of active volcanoes around the Digital World, and it is theorized that it may live nearby Volcdramon. It is the Ultimate level of Vorvomon.

Lillymon (Lilimon)

Attacks: Flower Cannon

A Fairy Digimon born from beautifully blooming flower petals. Although it looks like it has an appearance like a human child, it is a Perfect Digimon hiding unfathomable power within. Due to its whimsical, tomboyish personality, it is said that it will open its heart to a human girl with a similar temperament. Also, because it becomes unable to settle down if it starts crying like a crybaby, a great effort is necessary to win it over. However, it also has an aspect that kindly extends its hand to small or weak things. It can fly in the air with the four leaf-like wings growing from its back, and it is said that after Lillymon flies by, a fresh breeze will blow.

Lillymon is the main Ultimate level of Palmon, and is partnered to Mimi Tachikawa.

  • Arm Cannon: Its "Flow' Cannon" forms a giant flower with its hands and shoots a blast of energy from it and "Two-Handed Petal Cannon" transforms both its hands into flower guns and shoots the opponent with explosive powder.
  • Badass Adorable: One of the cuter Ultimate levels in the roster.
  • Fairy Sexy: It has a more fairy-ish design than Lilamon, but is still pretty fanservicey.
  • Flight: It is able to fly with the four leaf-like wings growing from its back.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite being a tomboyish crybaby, it shows compassion to the small and weak.
  • Kick Chick: Its "Flower Cutter" where it kicks up in the air, with sharp flowers trailing its foot.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: A flower fairy with wings made of leaves, hair made of vines and solid black eyes.
  • Plant Person: Lillymon's wings and hair are made out of leaves and flowers, and it evolves directly from plant Digimon.
  • Power of the Sun: Its "Sun-Crescent Kick" charges its body with solar energy, then kicks outwards, leaving a trail of yellow light and flowers behind.
  • Tomboy Princess: Lillymon is described as a tomboy in its official bio, and evolves into Rosemon who has the title of "Queen of Flowers".
  • Vampiric Draining: Its "Temptation" spreads a cloud of pink pollen that saps the enemy's life and strength, or binds the enemy with leaves.
  • Winged Humanoid: It has permanent leaf-shaped wings.
  • Womanchild: Despite being an Ultimate level, it has the appearance and temperament of a child and is prone to being a crybaby.

Lillymon X (Lilimon (X-Antibody))

During direct confrontation with Lillymon, the enemy Digimon will be greeted lightheartedly regardless how horrible they are; even if they threaten it, they will be lightly dismissed. However, it occasionally ignores them, and it is said that those ignored Digimon are the ones surprised instead. Its whimsical, tomboyish personality has been accelerated, and although it does not look scary, it has in a sense become the strongest Digimon around. It beautifully adorns itself with a tiara and ribbons because it knows it can be the best of itself, but when it starts crying, it indiscriminately unleashes its "Sleepy Bud", where it kicks frantically with both legs while throwing a tantrum, absolutely powering up its selfishness as well.

  • It's All About Me: She puts herself before anything else. If someone says what she wants can't be done...
  • Tantrum Throwing: Her "Sleepy Bud" where she kicks frantically with both legs while throwing a tantrum.

LoaderLiomon (LoaderLeomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loaderliomon.jpg
A Machine Digimon that was produced when CAD data for construction machinery leaked onto its server, then fused with the configuration data of a Beast Digimon. Its mane has become a pneumatic drill, and it works primarily in tunnel construction and in the Chrome Digizoid mines. The Chrome Digizoid mines are often surrounded by a solid layer of bedrock, so it boasts both power and stamina, as well as top-class performance among Machine Digimon. There are many LoaderLiomon with a stubborn personality due to their pride in their work, but there are many people with the viewpoint that states, "LoaderLiomon is just quarrelsome." It seems that one mine, which had the best deposits in the world, was blown away by a fight between LoaderLiomon.

LoaderLiomon was notably partnered to Daigo Nishijima.
  • Epic Flail: Its "Loader Morning Star" where it attacks with the wrecking ball on its tail.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: The katakana for its name corresponds to "LoaderLeomon", but official English materials referred to it as "LoaderLiomon" until the English-language Digimon Encyclopedia changed the spelling to match the Japanese name. Outside of that however, it's still called "LoaderLiomon".
  • Panthera Awesome: A mechanical lion.
  • This Is a Drill: Its mane can be made to spin to turn it into a rock-cutting drill.
  • Use Your Head: It's "Boring Storm" where it spins its mane like a drill and headbutts the enemy.

Locomon

Attacks: Steam Bomb, Wheel Grinder

A Machine Digimon which has the appearance of a steam locomotive, its purpose in life is to keep running. It is a being which transports the data within the Network across the Digital World. Within the Digital World, where a large quantity of information comes and goes, the meaning of life for Locomon and other Vehicle-species Digimon is in how quickly they can convey that information. However, there are times when old models of Locomon have run completely wild as a result of seeking to go too quickly. Also, although its range of movement is confined because it can only run on rails, there are occasions when it has generated spatial distortions by continuously running in circles.

Locomon served as the titular antagonist of the third Tamers movie, where it was being controlled by Parasimon. A Locomon is also partnered to Kiichi Funabashi, with a brief stint in the possession of Ren Tobari.

  • Cool Train: As stated on the page, Locomon is a Digimon that is itself a cool train with the appearance of a steam locomotive.
  • Having a Blast: Its "Steam Bomb" uses bombs of the steam blowing from its smokestack.
  • Mythology Gag: The idea of a Locomon creating distortions by going in circles is a reference to one of the movies, where the first Locomon introduces did just that.
  • Space Master: Downplayed. It can distort space by running in circles.

Luminamon

Attacks: Lightening Feel, Lumina Flash

A Digimon that shines the light of hope on humans and Digimon. It is said to possess a "Lightening Feel", in that if it is approached and touched by a pure heart, that person's immediate future will shine brightly in any difficulty. However, Luminamon cannot be seen unless one has a pure heart, and because it has the ability to make itself vanish further from view, it is spoken of as a Digital World legend. It does not possess attacks, so it escapes somewhere while they are dazzled by its "Lumina Flash", which flashes the lumens it has accumulated in the ring on its head.

It is a member of the Twilight (Midnight) army, but only in the manga.

Luminamon (Nene Ver.)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_4960.JPG
Attacks: None

Luminamon and the general "Nene Amano" are digitized. This figure is due to the evolution of Shademon while Shademon and "Nene Amano" have been digitized. Since both Digicross between humans and Digimon are forced, if the Digicross is released after that, it will not be possible to Digicross again. The heart filled with hope becomes light and shines as if it overflows from the whole body. It is said that the heart dominated by despair will be purified if illuminated by the light.

  • Fusion Dance: The end result of a forced fusion between a Digimon and a human, which means that they can't fuse ever again even if both are willing.
  • Holy Halo: Luminamon's holy now encircles Nene's hair.
  • Hope Bringer: This form gives off an aura of light that brings hope and purification to even the most despairing.
  • Power Gives You Wings: Nene's body now one wing on her back and a few smaller ones on her head.
  • Pretty in Mink: What little this form wears is made of white fur.
