Alan Hale Jr. (born Alan Hale MacKahan; March 8, 1921 - January 2, 1990) was an American actor and restaurateur best known for Gilligan's Island (1964-1967), The Harlem Globetrotters On Gilligans Island (1981), and Hang 'Em High (1968).
He was married to Bettina Reed Doerr and Naomi Grace Ingram and had four children with Doerr. His parents were Alan Hale Sr and Gretchen Hartman.
Hale died in 1990 at the age of 68 from thymus cancer.
