Twinkle Wish

(From left to right)
Hiyori, Yui, and Rei

A guild that helps others. They wish to reach the peak of the Tower of Sol due to experiencing the same dream.

    In General
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Hiyori, Rei, and Yui, respectively.
  • Demoted to Extra: The trio were essential co-protagonists for the original Princess Connect, especially Yui being the poster girl, but became little more than secondary characters in the first arc of Re:dive in favor of the Gourmet trio, especially Pecorine. Subverted in the second arc of the game, where she and the other Twinkle Wish girls gained more-or-less equal importance to the plot as the members of the Gourmet Guild.

"Light of healing...! You just need to look at it and you'll be healed, so, um... Somehow, this got awkward..."
New Year
Princess Form
In That World

Starting Rarity: 1-star [Regular, Ceremonial] 3-star [New Year, Princess, Summer]
Combat Position: Back
Damage Type: Magic

Height: 158 cm (5'2")
Weight: 47 kg (104 lbs)
Birthday: April 5
Age: 17
Blood Type: O
Race: Humanfolk
Hobbies: Cooking, people watching

A shy and sweet healer who wishes to become stronger. Formed Twinkle Wish with Rei and Hiyori after driving away a guild of scammers that harassed her earlier together.

  • Amnesiac Dissonance: What Ameth fears will happen to her if she remembers a certain forbidden memory locked in her heart, as it is something so horrifying that it would emotionally devastate her. This comes to pass when Yui learns that her wish to Minerva transforms "Legend of Astrum" into a Lotus-Eater Machine.
  • Barrier Maiden: Implied to be the one who turned Legend of Astrum into a Lotus-Eater Machine by Muimi. Unfortunately for her, Muimi also believes that her existence is the key to its continual perpetuation and that killing her will set everyone free from the false reality. The problem though is that she's targeting the wrong Yui.
  • Barrier Warrior: Her New Year form was notorious for being the strongest healer bar none in the game for well over a year, until she was eclipsed... by her own 6* form. This was due to her unique ability to grant the entire team barriers that neutralized both physical and magical damage, on top of providing health regeneration over time. Story-wise, Yui can be commonly seen employing barriers to protect her allies as well as smaller ones to shield herself from attacks.
  • Beam Spam: On the rare occasion that she does use offensive magic, this is her preferred method of attack.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Fell in love with Yuuki during middle school after he invited her to his group on a class trip when she was left out and alone. It was this act that led her befriending the rest of her classmates when previously she was too shy to talk to anyone but Makoto.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She has a notably large chest, with a random shopkeeper being impressed with its size.
  • Can't Spit It Out: Hopelessly in love with Yuuki, but unable to even imagine confessing to him without becoming incredibly embarrassed. She does eventually spit it out.
  • The Chosen One: Strongly implied to be Minerva's chosen princess whom she granted a wish to, though the exact circumstances and nature of the wish and how they led to the world's current state in Re:dive are a mystery. It's not too hard to infer from the intro of Re:dive, though, that it probably had something to do with how the original confrontation with Mana ended, likely involving Yuuki somehow.
  • Form-Fitting Wardrobe: Her Astral outfit is very snug around her various curves, which she points out.
  • Indirect Kiss: In her Bond Level 3 episode, after spoon feeding Yuuki/the player her cooking, she took a taste using the same spoon. After realizing the fact she fainted out of embarrassment.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She has a well-endowed bust, the biggest of the Twinkle Wish girls, and both her Ceremonial Dress and Astral outfit are quite revealing.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Yui has this when she discovers that her wish to Minerva is the reason she and everyone else are trapped in the game.
  • Nice Girl: This girl does not have a mean bone in her body, warmly smiling while she tries to help Misora up during the endgame of Arc II, despite everything the latter had done up to that point.
  • Locked Out of the Loop:
    • Ameth, Muimi, and Mana all imply that she is deeply involved in the events that ended up trapping everyone within Legend of Astrum, but the poor girl herself is completely unaware and utterly confused by everything they say. She doesn't even know the reason why others call her "Yui Kusano", her original name from That World.
    • Due to Ameth's warning about Yui's Amnesiac Dissonance, Rei and Hiyori also begin to keep everything they know about the truth of their world a secret from her, albeit with quite a bit of guilt in their hearts.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Her Astral variant has her ask the protagonist to not look at her so much, as she's bothered with how figure-hugging it is.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: She looks and acts like the classic sweet, Pink Heroine of a magical girl series, with Innocent Blue Eyes and an actual rose motif to boot.
  • Shrinking Violet: She's rather shy and will immediately be rendered a stuttering mess if her crush on Yuuki is so much as touched upon.
  • Starter Mon: Yui and the Gourmet Guild are the starting characters given to players at the beginning of the game.
  • Stripperiffic: Her Ceremonial Dress exposes a lot of skin, leaving little to the imagination.
  • Tareme Eyes: Her gentle-looking blue eyes represent her sweet personality.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: The girly girl to Makoto’s tomboy.
  • Underboobs: Her Astral outfit has an opening that shows off a lot of cleavage from below.
  • Weight Woe: Look no further than that one time Hiyori and Rei ask her if she's put on some weight (while she's eating sweets, no less), causing the scene to quickly shift to her crying as she runs across the land with barrels behind her.
  • White Magician Girl: A very talented healer, though other characters note that it is her pacifist nature that stops her from using offensive magic rather than lack of talent for it.
  • Wistful Amnesia: Suffers from this more strongly than the other girls, constantly having dreams of an extremely brave, dependable knight that Yuuki oddly resembles. Who is, naturally, implied to be the original Yuuki/player character of Princess Connect.

"Now, get ready! You said that you would land one hit on me, right? There's no time to waste!"
New Year
Halloween
Princess Form
In That World

Starting Rarity: 1-star [Regular, New Year] 3-star [Halloween, Princess, Summer]
Combat Position: Front
Damage Type: Physical

Height: 163 cm (5'4")
Weight: 46 kg (101 lbs)
Birthday: January 12
Age: 18
Blood Type: B
Race: Demonfolk
Hobbies: Reading, riding horses, drinking tea

A powerful and primarily solo player before meeting Yui and Hiyori. Belonging to the demonfolk race, she’s very calm and skilled with sword.

  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: She has long, dark-blue hair, and is the most calm and composed member of her group.
  • Blade Spam: All of her Union Bursts involve her inflicting a dizzying amount of slashes on the enemy. In her 6* form, it's even accompanied by a Storm of Blades, as she summons several magical blades to help slice the enemy apart.
  • Broken Ace: Rei is an overwhelmingly popular, picture-perfect Proper Lady with excellent grades at school, but Beneath the Mask, she's an absolute mess of Parental Issues and jealousy, a side of her she's only willing to show to Twinkle Wish.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Adamant in staying a solo player at first, she joined Twinkle Wish with some reluctance and takes a while to warm up to her comrades.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Is admired by many girls for her grace and beauty, chief among them Tsumugi, who isn't shy about expressing it. She even has her own all-female fan club, which Tsumugi heads and tells Yuuki about during their first bond story. Rei is unaware of said club, however.
  • Expy: Her aristocratic demeanor, skill with the sword, dark blue color scheme, demonic heritage, as well as her abilities to summon ghostly swords and make ethereal copies of herself to attack the enemy have drawn more than a few comparison to Devil May Cry's Vergil. On the other hand, her Princess Form tends to draw comparisons to the 00 Gundam Sky: Higher Than Sky Phase instead, due to the shape of her wings.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Met Yuuki as a young child one day during summer vacation and taught Yuuki how to fish. Despite having fond memories of their time together neither of them recognize the other upon their reunion many years later.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Can be prone to bouts of jealousy, especially when it comes to Yuuki. When dressing up as a ghost for Halloween, she fails miserably at putting up a proper scary act at all. That is, until she begins channeling her feelings of jealousy towards Yuuki's friendliness with other girls, whereupon she suddenly becomes extremely convincing and frightening in her act.
  • Heroes Gone Fishing: When she has downtime, she loves to go down to the lake or the beach and fish, and her character stories, when they're not focused on training Yuuki, tend to involve fishing with Yuuki. The in-game 4koma and her loading screen comic also reference her love of fishing. The former has a One Dialogue, Two Conversations talk wehre Rei talks about her time off and the other members of Twinkle Wish assume she's talking about fighting monsters, when she's really talking about hooking a big fish, and the latter has her fishing with Yui and Hiyori. As she thinks about how much she enjoys the sitting and waiting for a bite, Hiyori is in the background catching some zs.
  • Horned Humanoid: As a demonfolk, she has horns growing from the sides of her head, right above her ears.
  • I Just Want to Be Free: Her earnest wish is to be freed from her father's control so she can live life the way she wants to, to the point that she briefly entertains the notion of suicide to escape him, as well as disowning herself from her family.
  • Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: Wears an extremely elaborate furisode in her New Year form, which somehow does not impede her movements at all while swordfighting.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: At her lowest points, she becomes extremely emotionally dependent on Yuuki, pleading for him to never leave her side.
  • Ojou: Subverted. Despite being from a family of wealthy nobles, she consciously attempts to distance herself from this role as far as she can. However, in That World, she has no choice in the matter due to her family's expectations, and fully assumes the role at the prestigious private girl's academy she attends, becoming a prim and proper upper class lady admired by all her classmates.
  • Master Swordswoman: Is very handy with a sword, carried over from her fencing skills in That World. She eventually becomes one of Yuuki's tutors in fighting.
  • Shipper on Deck: On paper, she tries to support Yui's feelings for Yuuki. In practice, it's not quite that simple. At one point, she almost tries to kiss Yuuki, only to draw herself back at the last moment because "Yui would get mad."
  • Spirited Young Lady: Is actually the daughter of a noble family and none too happy about it, leading her to join Twinkle Wish in search of a life of adventure. In That World, she hails from a well-to-do family of politicians and retains much of the same attitude towards them as well.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Is admired as the absolute zenith of femininity by Tsumugi, but in actuality, who the girly girl is between the two of them varies greatly depending on the situation. As the swordswoman Rei, she can be rather brusque and practical compared to Tsumugi, who insists on being fashionable and girly even on the battlefield. On the other hand, her Ojou persona makes it clear why she's a role model for Tsumugi in the first place.
  • Upper-Class Equestrian: Teaches Yuuki how to ride a horse in one of her character episodes while she rides her own, who is named "Marengo".
  • The Worf Effect: After being beaten to a pulp by Azold's robotic minions, Rei and Hiyori are saved at the last minute by Yuuki's arrival, allowing them to activate Princess Form for the first time. Unfortunately for Rei, this just preps the stage for Azold himself to step in and completely style all over her, even in Princess Form—which in turn merely sets the stage for Shefi to regain her memories and heroically make a stand to defend all of her fallen allies. This becomes a source of frustration and main drive of her Princess Form's character story, where she pushes herself to grow stronger that she'd never humiliate herself like that again.
  • Would Hurt a Child: When the two guilds end up clashing in battle, Twinkle Wish's oldest member, the adult Rei, ends up fighting the youngest in Dragon's Nest, the 13-year-old Inori. A downplayed example, to be sure, as the two are only separated by five years of age, but Rei's lack of hesitation in trying to skewer Inori on the end of her sword is nonetheless somewhat chilling.

"Whenever you're close to me, Yuuki, I feel like my energy is at 100 percent! ... Did I maybe say too much?"
In That World

Starting Rarity: 1-star [Regular, Summer] 3-star [New Year, Princess]
Combat Position: Front
Damage Type: Physical

Height: 155 cm (5'1")
Weight: 44 kg (97 lbs)
Birthday: August 27
Age: 16
Blood Type: A
Race: Beastfolk
Hobbies: Helping others, cheering

The upbeat Guild Master of Twinkle Wish, whose motto is "When in trouble, we should help each other!".

  • All-Loving Hero: Extremely friendly and insistent on helping out any person in need no matter who they may be, to the point that she worries about Mana's well-being even while fighting her.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Punches thing very hard, to the point that her fists can create explosions.
  • Cat Girl: A blonde cat girl who wears gauntlets shaped like cat paws. It turns out that she has this appearance partly because her Astrum avatar is modeled off the tiger keychain that Yuuki gifted to her as a child.
  • Character Catchphrase: Can often be heard saying "when in trouble, we should help each other out", reflecting her positive, philanthropic beliefs. Like many aspects of her character, it turns out to be a Borrowed Catchphrase she learned from her childhood hero.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Actively seeks out people in trouble to lend a helping hand, much like Yuuki. Her guild members note how similar they are in this regard.
  • Hero Worship: Much of her present-day personality stems from idolizing an older boy that helped her reunite with her mother when she was a lost child. Three guesses as to who that boy was.
  • He's Not My Boyfriend: Is mistaken as Yuuki's girlfriend more than once, which she vehemently denies, because she doesn't want to make Yui sad.
  • For Happiness: Her deepest wish is for everybody in the world to be able to smile together. Minerva is impressed by her conviction and replies that if Hiyori wants to see everyone smile, then Minerva wants to be able to make people like Hiyori smile.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Met Yuuki when she was a lost child looking for her mother. When he helped her reunite with her mother, he left a deep impression on her that inspired her to help others in need whenever she could. Upon reuniting with Yuuki as a high schooler, neither of them recognize the other.
  • Glass Cannon: has an extremely high attack, but pitiful defense, especially for a front-liner. If an enemy targets her, she won't last long.
  • Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Unfailingly optimistic and kind-hearted no matter the situation. The only times her overwhelmingly positive attitude is shown to falter is when she loses her treasured keychain and when Yuuki apparently dies in front of her.
  • The Leader: She's officially the Guild Master on paper, but the trio tends to treat each other so much as good friends that this fact tends to get overshadowed. In fact, in the original Princess Connect!, she handed over the guild's leadership to Yuuki, who she saw was more suited to the role.
  • Oblivious to Love: Incredibly innocent and oblivious to the fact that she has fallen in love with Yuuki.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Is a cheerleader in That World, which is ironic when contrasted with her frontline melee role.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: A trademark of her fighting style, her Union Burst has her unleash a flurry of blows on the opponent.
  • Shipper on Deck: Enthusiastically supports Yui's love for Yuuki despite it slowly dawning on her that she might be in love with him herself.
  • Shout-Out: A brief one in her guild's story's second episode has her punch out a thug disguised as a monster. Freaked out by her strength, he screams, "What is she, some kind of one punch cat?"
