Arc I

    Kaiser Insight

"Eustiana" / [Mana Senri] / Kaiser Insight

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kaiser_insight_2528game25291.png
"I will become god of the new world!"
Voiced by: Shouta Aoi
The main antagonist of Arc I. The current princess of Landosol after she stole Pecorine's identity. One of the Seven Crowns, The Omniscient Kaiser.
  • Actually a Doombot: When defeated, turns out that it was just another shadow. The real Kaiser shows up shortly after.
  • Arc Villain: The first major one.
  • Asian Fox Spirit: A fox Beast who draws heavy inspiration from the kitsune of Japanese folklore for her design.
  • Always Someone Better: Harbors quite the inferiority complex towards Labyrista, and privately holds a burning desire to prove herself to be superior between the two of them.
  • Ax-Crazy: She's a very unstable and violent psychopath with clear forms of sadism when killing Labyrista and using Karyl like a puppet on a string to try and kill Pecorine and other innocent people.
  • Bad Boss: Treats her underlings rather callously and will not hesitate to murder them if it serves her goals.
  • Big, Screwed-Up Family: A trait she shares with Karyl is her disdain for their family.
  • Boomerang Bigot: Landsol quickly becomes a very unpleasant place for Beasts to live under Mana's rule, despite Mana being a Beast herself.
  • Crossdressing Voices: Shouta Aoi puts on a rather convincing performance as a Foxy Vixen.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Even back in the real world, Mana looks so much like a woman, that you would be forgiven for thinking that he was one.
  • G.I.R.L.: Labyrista eventually reveals that Mana is a man in real life.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Even though she's a Bad Boss to Karyl, she still sees her as someone important to her and even risks her own life in order to save her when she tries to commit suicide.
    • In the ending of season 2, she can be seen visiting Kaiser in prison along with her guildmates to have a meal with her.
  • Excessive Evil Eyeshadow: Though she serves as the Big Bad of the game from the very beginning, Mana eventually powers up into a much more evil looking Super Mode where her formerly translucent white eyelashes become thick with black eyeliner.
  • A God Am I: Claims on multiple occasions that she is will become god and shape the world to her desires.
  • Godzilla Threshold: She's let out of prison during the last parts of Act II just to have a fighting chance against Eris.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Mana's unparalleled genius is only matched by her extreme misanthropy.
  • Invincible Villain: She proves to be nigh unbeatable as an enemy and is capable of taking on Christina and Raji, both fellow members of the Seven Crowns with their own set of broken skills. It took everyone in Landosol working together to weaken her enough just so that the heroes would stand a chance at beating her.
  • Fireball Eyeballs: In her final form, Mana's left eye is covered by an eyepatch that constantly emits copious amounts of ominous purple flames.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: After leaving the first season unscathed, she is finally defeated at the end of Season 2 and arrested for her actions.
  • Kick the Dog: If given just the slight chance, she will not hesitate to berate and abuse Karyl.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Whenever she shows up is a sign the plot becomes more serious.
  • Oblivious Adoption: Inverted. Mana herself obviously knows that she isn't related to the king and queen of Landsol after adopting the guise of the princess of Landsol, but the citizens of the Landsol are so deeply brainwashed that they wholeheartedly believe that she is the true blood daughter of the king and queen, despite her obvious Beast heritage making this patently impossible.
  • Promoted to Playable: Became the second EX character following Karin. Like Karin, she can be unlocked by using 3000 Memory Shards and 500,000,000 Mana.
  • The Roleplayer: Has a surprising fondness for worldbuilding, the incredibly unrealistic and video-gamey manner which the Kingdom of Landsol operates on when she first assumes the throne frustrates her to no end and she goes to great lengths to reform them. Karyl observes that Mana has a particular fondness for things like festivals which deepen the cultural character of Landsol as a result.
  • Refuge in Audacity: After forcibly stealing the identity of the princess of Landsol, Eustiana von Astraea, with memory alteration and brainwashing magic, she has the real Eustiana designated a criminal for the offense of attempting to steal her identity.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Despite being the villain, Mana is no slouch when it comes to being a competent ruler, merely very selfish in her agenda. Pecorine too tries her best to keep the kingdom on course after her allies depose Mana and seat her on the throne, but realizes just how difficult the job of running a nation is, her royal court overflowing with corrupt nobles who Mana had previously purged but ended up returning after her downfall.
  • Slasher Smile: She gives one hell of a smile when she kills Labyrista and later when she controls Karyl like a puppet and nearly uses her to kill all the villagers.
  • Super-Intelligence: Considered the smartest of the Seven Crowns, Mana is so absurdly intelligent that her ability to predict the future is actually the result of her brain operating like a supercomputer and processing massive amounts of data to arrive at the most likely outcome in any given situation. It's initially presented a unique ability she possesses as part of her Seven Crowns privilege, but further elaboration reveals that the ability simply feeds her a massive amount of raw data from her surroundings, her brain is doing all the real work in processing it. Nevertheless, it can't make up (or perhaps is the reason) for her pitiful lack of people skills.
  • Villainous Breakdown: As the final battle with her rages on, she increasingly gets more and more deranged.

  • Beautiful Singing Voice: She's noted to have a rather beautiful voice by almost every character.
  • Breaking Old Trends: She's the first character with a summon skill whose Summon actually has a Union Burst.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: She rivals Suzume in the klutzy department, which only makes her more endearing.
