Calma y Caos ("Calm and Chaos") is a Spanish language fanfic of The Loud House, published in Wattpad by ozjim11. It follows the adventures of Logan, the 11-year-old son of Lincoln, as he and his father travel around the country from their home in Florida to Royal Woods to gather up his sisters.
The story was published on Mid 2017 and concluded in August 2020, and there are pages dedicated to apologies for the Schedule Slip. You can read it here. Keep in mind that it's in Spanish, and there's currently no known English translation.
This story provides examples of:
- Amicable Exes: Luna and Sam have broken up, but they remain together as Just Friends. They also live in the same house and raise Lance together. Word of God is that he's actually a fan of Lusam, but he broke them up because he felt having them as a couple would've been Cliché.
- An Arm and a Leg: Charles had a broken paw when Lincoln and Logan found him. They took him to the emergency at Lana's veterinary hospital. She was able to save him, but he lost his paw, and was replaced with an artificial one.
- Lincoln also loses his left hand when the house collapsed on him while fighting Mr. Brown.
- Back for the Finale: Jane, a girl whom Logan meets and falls in love with, doesn’t return until the epilogue, at his father Lincoln’s wedding.
- Bad People Abuse Animals: Charles II's previous owner and his children used to beat him, deny him food, tie tin cans to his tail, and leave him out in the cold. One time, when one of the kids pulled his ear, he bit him in the hand, and in response the kid threw a rock at his paw, breaking it. The father decided he had enough with the dog, and left him for dead on the road, where Lincoln and Logan found him later.
- Call to Adventure: The plot is triggered by Lily, who coincidentally crashed her car near Lincoln's house while looking for him. She arrived to inform him that the old house is going to be repossessed and demolished, and all the siblings need to be together in order to reclaim it.
- Childhood Memory Demolition Team: The old house in Royal Woods has been repossessed by the bank, and it's scheduled to be demolished. In order to reclaim it, the Loud siblings must all be present.
- Dark Skinned Blonde: Lara, who's got her father's dark skin and her mother's blonde hair.
- Disneyland Dad: Jaasnote , Luna's ex-husband and Lance's father, appears to be a Type I, from the one time we get to see him. Luna doesn't want to see him, but Lance does.
- Faint in Shock: Logan faints after hearing about his unknown family (10 aunts!!) in such a short notice.Logan: I'd like to be on a carpet...
- Good Girls Avoid Abortion: Deconstructed. Even with the doctor's warning that the baby was underdeveloped and draining a lot of nutrients from her, and both he and Lincoln offering her the option to abort to save her life, Paige still decided to carry on and have her child, even if it cost her life. And indeed it did. She was devastated by the time she gave birth, and asked Lincoln to care for the child in her last breath.
- The Deconstruction carries on in the aftermath. Mr. Brown has blamed his daughter's death on Lincoln ever since; despite, again, it being her choice. Meaning that, as noble as it was to sacrifice her life for her child, she did not think of the devastation it would inflict on her family.
- Hereditary Twinhood: Indirectly. Leo and Lia are twins, but they were born out of Lynn, not Lola or Lana.
- Keet: Hector AKA "Jr."note is a very excitable Pint-Sized Kid.
- Mythology Gag: Apparently, Lynn made a bet with her children over whether they'd get good grades. They won, and so she had to wear a squirrel suit.
- The end, before the epilogue, has Logan fighting over the remote control with his cousins, complete with vignettes that mimic the Title Sequence of the series.
- Naked First Impression: Pressed by both Lincoln and his aunt Lynn, Logan took a bath at her place, and she told him to change at his cousins' bedroom. Then Lia walked in as he was changing. Cue the startled screams. Then Logan's towel was snagged by a loose nail, prompting Lia to bash him on the head with a bat.
- No Fourth Wall: Much like his father in canon, Logan has the power to address the audience (he doesn't know his father also has that power, though). In one chapter he also argued with the narrator.
- O.C. Stand-in: Paige, Logan’s mother, was a One-Shot Character in the original series (a Girl of the Week to be precise) of whom we've only known her first name and her appearance. This story gives her a backstory ( she was an Uptown Girl who escaped from her rigid family), a surname ( Brown), a fate ( Death by Childbirth), and parents (one of whom is an irrationally vengeful Papa Wolf).
- Oh, My Gods!: "By Savino!".
- Organ Theft: The children at Lisa's summer school drugged Logan and took away his appendix.Lincoln: Well, that's my family… and so is yours.
- Overly Long Name: Pancho's full name is Francisco Ramón Faustino Villanueva Montes Santiago lll.
- Putting the Band Back Together: All the Loud children are noted as beneficiaries of the house in Royal Woods, and they all need to be together to reclaim it. The story follows Lincoln as he reconnects with his sisters and calls them in to save their home from being demolished.
- Raised by Wolves: Referenced as a joke. When Logan gets too annoying, Lincoln would threaten him with "leaving him behind to be raised by squirrels".Logan: What about wolves?, I'd be a good wolf.Lincoln: No, they would eat you, in fact, they would eat you as salad.
- Ridiculously Successful Future Self: Most of the Loud sisters, to varying degrees. The exceptions are Lincoln, who went on Self-Imposed Exile to Florida and kept a low profile; Lily, who's still studying in college; and Lynn, who's a gym teacher at a local middle school.
- Lisa and Lana are Downplayed examples, in that their success appear to be more localized to the communities in which they dwell.
- Lisa runs a summer school ("Institute") for Child Prodigies. Although, given that in canon she was already accomplished at age 4, there's an implication that there's more to her than she lets on.
- Lana runs a veterinary hospital that is well regarded by her community. It even comes with a petting zoo to attend animals from the farms.
- Lucy runs a Starbucks-like coffee shop/library franchise.
- Luan is a famous comedian, and is married to an actor of Broadway (that may or may not be Benny).
- Luna became a famous rockstar and lives in a mansion. However, she retired from music after having Lance.
- Leni has her own fashion enterprise.
- Downplayed with Lola, who is just Leni's associate.
- Lori and Bobby run a franchise of shopping malls.
- Lisa and Lana are Downplayed examples, in that their success appear to be more localized to the communities in which they dwell.
- Road Trip Plot: The story is about Lincoln and his son driving around the country to gather up his sisters.
- Ship Tease: Setting aside the obvious one with Jane, Logan had his share of Ship Tease moments with his cousins:
- First, there's his Naked First Impression with Lia. From then on she'd act all Tsundere around him.
- Then there's Lizy, who constantly hugs him and calls him "bunny Loud" almost from the moment she recognized him.
- A heavily homoerotic-laden one with Lance, with whom he spent the night bickering Like an Old Married Couple.
- Spin-Offspring: Downplayed. The story is mainly focused on Logan but not entirely. Good emphasis is put on Lincoln as he's reconnecting with old family and friends, while Logan is meeting his aunts and cousins for the first time.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Logan looks like a more childlike version of Lincoln with a puffier haircut. The only indication that his mother is Paige is a few locks of orange hair on his forehead that he only showed to Leo and Lia.Mr. Brown: Too bad he looks so much like you. But hey, those are mistakes I can fix later.
- Leo and Lia look like hard copies of Lynn, you'd be forgiven if you forget they have a father. The main differences are that Leo is a boy, and Lia has black hair.
- Lizy looks like Leni with a different hairstyle and clothes.
- Teens Are Monsters: Out of all the cousins Logan has just met, Lucio and Lance, who are well in their teens, are the ones who picked on him the most. Somehow, both of their pranks involved tying him up (with duct tape in Lance's case).
- Title Drop: Logan, in the epilogue:Logan: I guess there's always gonna be Calm and Chaos in our lives.
- Took the Wife's Name: Implied with Lynn's divorced ex-husband, as her children inherited the Loud surname.
- The Un-Reveal: Lucy, whose eyes are always covered by bangs, makes Lincoln swear to talk with Logan about his mother by pulling up her bangs and make him look her in the eye. Lincoln was taken aback, but the story gives no picture or description on how do they look.
- Wedding Finale: The Epilogue, between Lincoln and Ronnie Anne.
