Top Heroes

    In General
  • Avengers Assemble: Sector Seven calls them over to their base to introduce them to the Autobots and explain the situation regarding their war.

    Endeavor

Enji Todoroki — Endeavor

Quirk: Hellfire

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/endeavor_anime_profile.png

Enji Todoroki, better known as the Flame Hero: Endeavor, is the Number 2 Hero and the father of Shoto Todoroki. He's known for his stern and unfriendly demeanor and has a huge obsession with surpassing the Number 1 Hero: All Might. This obsession led him to form a Quirk Marriage in hopes of creating a child who can surpass him and All Might.

  • Abusive Parents: He abused his family and put a five-year-old Shoto under a harsh training regiment that scarred the boy; both literally and figuratively.
  • Fantastic Racism: Endeavor has this in spades. He doesn't particularly like the Autobots, Optimus Prime, in particular even though they are clearly the good guys, and once even nearly killed Checkpoint even after the Mini-Con made it clear that he's not a Decepticon had Optimus not intervened.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: While other Pro-Heroes recognize he's a genuinely dedicated crime fighter, they also admit they don't personally like him due to Endeavor being an asshole.
  • Jerkass: He's an asshole to almost everyone he meets. His first introduction to Izuku, Kyoka, Momo, and Mei at Sector Seven is to yell at them to get out; causing both Kyoka and Momo to dislike him immediately.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Jerk he may be who did... questionable things to his family, but he does make good points.
    • In his first meeting with the Autobots, he's furious that they got children involved (most of whom are in the same class as his son) and rightly calls them out about potentially bringing the Cybertronian war to Earth.
    • He isn't wrong when he says that Shoto's desire to become the top hero without using the quirk he inherited from Endeavor is nothing more than a childish act of rebellion, even if he's the cause of Shoto's issues. Izuku actually agrees, albeit for different reasons, pointing out that everyone else in their class is trying their hardest to become heroes.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: After Shoto learns the truth about the Cybertronian War, he asks the Autobots and his classmates to not let his father know about it. Considering the type of person Endeavor is, his past treatment of Shoto, as well as the tense relationship he currently has with the Autobots, everybody agrees to it.
  • Perpetual Frowner: He's rarely seen without a frown on his face.
  • Playing with Fire: His Quirk, Hellflame, allows him to attack with a barrage of flames.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Endeavor, true to form, calls out Optimus and the Autobots about potentially bringing the Cybertronian War to Earth and getting Izuku, Kyoka, Hatsume, and Momo involved. He has a point, too, especially since a group of Vehicons show up and attack in the next chapter, endangering not just the four mentioned but also Ochako, Iida, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Ashido.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Optimus, Spectrum, and their comrades showing up to help out the heroes deal with the Nomu situation in Hosu? Endeavor simply yells at them that didn't need to come and that they had the situation covered.
