Faculty and Staff

    In General 
  • Badass Teacher: All of them are teachers teaching the next generation of heroes, and they are capable of kicking ass if their fight on the Darksyde is anything to go by.
  • It's Personal: When the teachers found out that the Cons kidnapped Midnight, they sure were pissed all right.
  • Secret-Keeper: Initially, only All Might and later Nezu and Aizawa knew of the existence of the Cybertronians. By Chapter 20, all the teachers are aware of the Cybertronian war.

Quirk: High Specs

The principal of U.A. High School. While it's unknown whether he is a dog, a mouse, or a bear; Nezu is one of the rare cases of an animal possessing a Quirk. His Quirk, High Specs, grants him an IQ that far surpasses humans on Earth.


  • Big Good: He's this due to being the principal of the top Hero School in Japan.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: When asked by the faculty to blacklist Snake Eyes from UA due to knowing very little about him, Nezu agrees... only to say that he "forgot" to do so every now and then.
  • Super-Intelligence: His Quirk, High Specs, grants him superior intelligence and high calculating prowess.
  • Secret-Keeper: He seems to know something more about Snake Eyes than the other teachers of UA.

    All Might

Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might, is the No.1 Hero on earth and Japan's Symbol of Peace, famous throughout the world for saving people with a smile on his face. It was only due to his great power that Japan's crime rates lowered. After facing a battle against an extremely powerful villain, he received an injury that sapped him of half his strength. Now, he currently trains his successor, Izuku Midoriya, to become the new Symbol of Peace.


  • Battle Cry: SMAAAASSSH!!
  • Big Good: He's the Number One Hero on Earth.
  • Catchphrase: "Never fear, because I'm Here!"
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: He defeats Starscream in a single punch.
  • Handicapped Badass: Despite suffering an injury that saps him of half his strength, he's still able to hold his own against many villains and Decepticons as his fight against Dropkick has shown.
  • Legacy Hero: He's the eighth holder of the Quirk, One For All.
  • The Mentor: Serves as this to Izuku.
  • The Paragon: All Might is hailed and respected by everyone on Earth as the Number One Hero in Japan and as the Symbol of Peace. He has inspired many young kids, like Izuku and Katsuki, to become heroes as well.
  • Secret-Keeper: Aside from the secrets of One For All and the Cybertronian war, All Might's also aware of the secret battle between the G.I. Joe and Cobra, but he's never gotten involved in their conflict. That being said, he has kept other villains from joining Cobra.
  • Super-Strength: One For All grants him enormous strength thanks to the amount of power it has stockpiled over the years.
  • Un-Sorcerer: Like Izuku, he was one of the minor 20 percent people in the world born without a Quirk.
  • World's Strongest Man: He's the Number One Hero in the world and has the strength to back up that title.

    Eraser Head

Shota Aizawa, better known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head, is an underground Hero, as well as the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A. Aizawa is known for his harsh and extreme methods in training his students but he does mean well and wishes for them to reach their full potential. His Quirk, Erasure, allows him to effectively neutralize the abilities and effects of others by just staring at them.


  • Anti-Magic: His Erasure Quirk allows him to nullify the Quirks of others.
  • Creepy Good: His appearance and smile may come off as creepy but he is a hero who's sworn to protect people.
  • Dare to Be Badass: He prompts his students to give it their all during the Quirk Apprehension Test by threatening to expel them.
  • Logical Weakness: Besides only nullifying the activation of other Quirks, it's useless against beings who don't have them, like Cybertronians, which is why he stays to coordinate the Midnight and Bumblebee rescue mission alongside Red Alert and Mei. That, and he’s also still bandaged up from the USJ.
  • One-Man Army: With a combination of his Quirk, his Capture Weapon, and fighting style; he's able to take down a large group of villains for a brief period of time.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: His Capture Weapon, is a scarf made out of steel wire alloy woven by carbon nanofibers which uses in tandem with his Quirk when fighting villains.
  • Stern Teacher: Aizawa threatened to expel his students on the first day if they don't give it their all during the Quirk Apprehension Test. He is feared by his students for his strict methods as he holds the record as the teacher with the most number of expulsions among the U.A. teachers.

    Midnight 

Nemuri Kayama — Midnight

Nemuri Kayama, famously (or infamously) known as the R-Rated Hero: Midnight, is a Pro Hero and a teacher of U.A. who teaches Modern Hero Art History. She's well-known for her sultry and flirty personality and dominatrix theme that she has going for her. Her Quirk, Somnambulist allows her to put her targets to sleep by producing a sleep-inducing aroma from her body.


  • Abhorrent Admirer: For Bumblebee, since he was put off by her overly flirty manner, at least at first. Once he gets to see her Hidden Depths he grows to genuinely like her, even if he can't reciprocate her feelings.
  • All Women Are Lustful: She's known for behaving in a very flirty manner, much to the chagrin of her associates.
  • All Amazons Want Hercules: Upon seeing Optimus Prime, she immediately falls in love with him.
  • Damsel in Distress: She gets captured along with Bumblebee and held prisoner by the Decepticons aboard the Darksyde.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Bumblebee likes her as a person but he's already interested in Arcee, and Strongarm notes that Optimus already has Elita-1.
  • Knock Out Gas: Her Quirk, Somnambulist, allows her to emit a sleep-inducing gas/aroma from her body that she uses to put people to sleep.
  • Situational Sword: Her Quirk only works on organics like Humans, not Cybertronians; this led her to be an easy target to capture by Thundercracker and the Mini-Con Air Assault Team.
  • Shipper on Deck: She's pretty ecstatic about Izuku and Kyoka's growing relationship.

    Present Mic 

Hizashi Yamada — Present Mic

Quirk: Voice

Hizashi Yamada is the Voice Hero: Present Mic. He's a Pro Hero who works as an English teacher at U.A as well as a part-time DJ. He also serves as an announcer. His Quirk, Voice, allows him to heighten the volume of his voice for offensive purposes.


  • First-Name Basis: He's one of the few who calls Midnight by her first name, Nemuri, being his former upper classmen and such.
  • Good Is Not Soft: His Quirk is so strong that he uses it some Vehicons during the rescue mission for Midnight and Bumblebee, to the point that their audio receptors burst!
  • Shipper on Deck: It's implied he's also one for Izuku and Kyoka as during the Cavalry Battle he dubbed their team as "Team MidoJiro".
  • Super-Scream: His Quirk, Voice, allows him to increase the volume of his voice to cause some serious damage.

    Vlad King 

Sekijiro Kan — Vlad King

Quirk: Blood Control

Sekijiro Kan, also known as the Blood Hero: Vlad King, is a tall, gruff man with the attitude of a drill sergeant who is also the homeroom teacher of Class 1-B. His Quirk, Blood Control, allows him to manipulate his own blood for a variety of effects.


  • Bad Powers, Good People: The power to manipulate blood is kinda creepy, but Kan is a good guy despite being a drill sergeant teacher.
  • Big Guy: He's a tall guy with an intimidating demeanor but is a hero through and through.
  • The Power of Blood: His Quirk, Blood Control, allows him to unleash the blood from his body and manipulate it in a variety of ways in battle. He appears to also have more blood in his body than a regular human as he can lose blood without showing any fatigue.

    Power Loader 

Higari Maijima — Power Loader

Quirk: Iron Claws

Higari Maijima, better known as the Evacuation Hero: Power Loader, is a Pro Hero of U.A.'s faculty who manages the Support Course students. His Quirk, Iron Claws, gives his fingers metallic tips which are good for digging/mining through the ground.


  • Deadpan Snarker: When he gets partnered with Mina and Bulkhead for the rescue mission for Midnight and Bumblebee, Power Loader wonders to himself if he's cursed to deal with excited pink-haired girls.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: As the teacher of U.A.'s Support Course he's known as a prodigy who can create support items with self-assurance.
  • Not So Above It All: While he doesn't express it, the invention he created and used for the rescue mission shows that he's also a fan of aliens.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: He's one to Mei.

    Thirteen 

Anan Kurose — Thirteen

Quirk: Black Hole

Anan Kurose is a rescue hero who is known as the Space Hero: Thirteen. Her Quirk, Black Hole, allows her to create black holes from her fingers that disintegrate matter at the atomic level.


  • Cosmic Motifs: Given that she's the space hero and that her hero costume is modeled after an astronaut suit, it's pretty obvious what kind of theme she's going for.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: A rescue hero who has the power to create black holes.
  • Good Is Not Soft: During the rescue mission for Bumblebee and Midnight on the Darksyde, she was willing to suck all the Vehicons with her black hole and only stopped when they begged her to stop.
  • Power of the Void: Her Quirk, Black Hole, lets her create black holes from her fingers. As a rescue hero, she uses this to clean debris and is shown to be very powerful against villains.

    Cementoss 

Ken Ishiyama — Cementoss

Quirk: Cement

A Pro Hero who is capable of controlling any cement he touches; who in appearance resembles a humanoid block of cement. He's also a teacher of U.A. who teaches Modern Literature.


  • Ambiguously Human: He looks like a sentient slab of cement.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: His Quirk, Cement, allows him to manipulate any kind of cement.
  • Irony: Despite his blocky appearance, he seems to like round things.
  • Logical Weakness: His Quirk is ineffective in areas that don't have any concrete for him to manipulate. It shows during the raid on the Darksyde, as Momo had to create blocks of concrete for him to use.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": He's a hero who's a big fan of All Might.

    Snipe

A cowboy-themed Pro Hero who is skilled with a pistol and a teacher at U.A. High. His Quirk, Homing, allows him to control the trajectory of the ammo he's using.


  • Cool Mask: He wears a stylish gas mask as part of his costume.
  • The Gunslinger: He's skilled at aiming and hitting his targets with his revolver, even without his Quirk.
  • Homing Projectile: His Quirk allows him to control the trajectory of the ammo he fires; this includes bullets, lasers, cannons, etc. Which came in handy, when he used Springer's alt mode weapons to fire the Vehicons on the Darksyde.
  • Tranquil Fury: Snipe was pretty pissed off when he found out that the Decepticons have kidnapped Midnight, saying that they are worse than any villain that he had met.

    Ectoplasm

Quirk: Clones

Ectoplasm is a Pro Hero who is the math teacher of U.A. High. His Quirk, Clones, allows him to spawn multiple copies of himself from his mouth.


  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: He can combine all of his clones to create a giant copy of himself.
  • Handicapped Badass: Prior to the series, he lost both his legs and is now using prosthetics. They don't slow him down in a fight though.
  • Hidden Depths: Ectoplasm apparently likes Karaoke.
  • Not So Above It All: He was pretty amused to see how the Vehicons on the Darksyde reacted to his Quirk, musing how he didn't get that reaction in a while.
  • Self-Duplication: His Quirk, Clones, allows him to create copies of himself through the ectoplasm that he secretes from his mouth
  • Stealth Pun: He's a math teacher with the power of creating clones of himself. Some can say he's a multiplying hero.

    Hound Dog

Ryo Inui, better known as the Hunting Dog Hero: Hound Dog, is the school guidance counselor of U.A. High.


  • Animal Themed Super Being: His Quirk gives him all the attributes of a dog. He has a tendency to revert to dog-like tendencies whenever upset.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He's known for devolving into angry snaps whenever he's upset, but is a great guidance counselor who wants to help the students.
  • Face of a Thug: He's known for having an angry look on pretty much all the time.

    Recovery Girl 

Chiyo Shuzenji — Recovery Girl

Quirk: Heal

Chiyo Shuzenji, better known as the Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl, U.A.'s resident nurse in healing people. Her Quirk, Heal, allows her to heal people with their stamina.


  • Healing Hands: As the resident doctor and medic of U.A. High, it's her job to heal those who are injured. Her Quirk, Heal, allows her to heal those who are injured using their own vitality.
  • The Mentor: Was this to Marissa Faireborn when she was in medical school.
  • Shipper on Deck: She supports Izuku and Kyoka being a couple and even gives each of them specific advice on the matter.
