Following AH.com: The Series and its spinoff AH.com : The Next Generation, AH.com: The Creepy Teen Years is the AlternateHistory.com board, in a High School AU.

Staring many of the notable Newer Posters, and casting the older big name posters as the Faculty, It follows the bizarre Happenings at an Interdimensional High School.

One would think that sounds pretty straightforward and kinda boring, but what follows can probably be described as Cromartie High School on drugs, if that's even possible. It's probably telling when one of the few really Sane characters undergoes a Gender Flip ever other chapter or so.

This series is heavily influenced by High School Animes, and whatever else the writers fancy at the moment, which tends to go all over the place.

New Episodes are posted on the Main AH.com Website, but they now have their own website, where the Episodes will slowly be going up. Seasons one, two and three have already been completed on both sites, and Season Four is currently undergoing its run.

    • THE DISASSOCIATION OF OTHYRSYDE. Maybe.
    • "A Really Terrible Idea" as well. It might be a pure version, but knowing this series? We can only hope.
  • Alternate Continuity: Essential, Fenrir_Angerboda, FDW and whatever other writers attempt to throw their hats in the ring are writing their own versions of the series. Sometimes there are Continuity Nods to each other, sometimes there isn't.

  • Alternate Universe Fic: "The Melancholy of Evilprodigy" is basically a High School AU, for a High School AU, albeit one based more on Shoujo.

Fenrir_Angerboda bit it during Season one, Catboy was killed in CATBOY VERSUS THE HOMAGE, Ynnead, Nothingnow and Lord_Roem were Killed in HORRIFIC SHIT HAPPENS, and FDW was vaporized in the Alien Invasion.
  • April Fools' Day: The series was canceled and replaced with a Teen Drama inspired counterpart.
  • Ascended Extra:
    • NothingNow. His first appearance was in a In-universe Fanfic in Season 1, and he made the leap to Major Character in Season 2. This also is true for him outside of the Story. He's started as a reader, but has become the Third editor of the Series after the First two left.
    • Others, such as Evilprodigy, and Turquoise Blue have made the transition to important characters.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Some of the student-turn-ponies turn out to be Bronies, and want to Remain Ponies.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever:
    • There was a Giant mutated Man-eating Axolotl. Only twenty feet, but it still counts.
    • Roem becomes Bulldog_Churchill_Roem.
  • Author Avatar: You'd think so, since, somewhat like its counterpart series, all of the authors so far are also characters in the series. They like to do horrible things to each other, and to the rest of the cast. Of course, since Characterization Marches On, the cast often have very different personalities from the people that inspired them, leading to it sounding like the Writers and commentators are talking in the third person in the comments.
  • Back from the Dead: because Death Is Cheap.
  • Badass Boast: Fenrir delivers one to Princess Rainbow Sparkle
    Fenrir_Angerboda: "Now I can add killing a god to my Resume."

  • Bloody Hilarious: In a effort to make his Zombie Maid uniforms look more authentic, FDW used Exposed Organs for them. Ynnead, Catboy and Lord_Roem's Exposed Organs.

  • Brain Bleach: Invoked by Nothingnow during his fight with Kilngirl.

    • Finally played straight with Mythical Multiversial Canuck Evilprodigy. Yes, the axe-hockey stick wielding French-Canadian plays this somewhat straight. Or at least plays with it in a not so disturbing manner.

  • Mind Screw: THE DISASSOCIATION OF OTHYRSYDE, again.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: an army of Alternate Dimension Thandes show up, apparently as the main villains for "BREAK THROUGH THE DREAM"
  • Mundane Fantastic: Yeah, Some of the events in the background (and off screen) are hideously bizarre, and the plots can be even more so, and they realize that. But well, they're not really as concerned with how Catboy made the Super Serum as they are that the Twenty Foot Salamander's trying to eat them.
  • No Fourth Wall: Played with. Fenrir_Angerboda was completely aware that there was a script in THE DISASSOCIATION OF OTHYRSYDE, but because it was a dream no ones quite sure....
  • No Indoor Voice: KRALL.
  • Non Sequitur, *Thud*:
    • After being Shocked back into consciousness, Catboy begins singing Fergie's London Bridge
    • FDW gets one after getting an EZ bake oven thrown at his head:
      FDW: Yes Mr. Yuuki Nagato, I'll be your Dipping Sauce Bitch.
  • Official Couple:
    • Lord Roem and Othyrsyde.
    • Alt!Ynnead and Nothignow.
  • Only a Flesh Wound: Nothingnow is shot in the shoulder in his battle against Big_Tex. Despite that, it has little effect on his battle.

    • Ynnead/Ryder. Usually.

    • Mojojojo has these until they are taken away by the Good Taste Police.

  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Emperor_Norton_I to a large extent.
  • Red Shirt Army:
    • The US Army led by Georgepatton in DANCING WITH CATBOYS.
    • Fenrir turns the remaining student Body into one during "BREAK THROUGH THE DREAM".
  • Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman:
    • The Various Alternate Reality Ronald Reagans that are mentioned.
    • Jackie Chan has been referred to as An actor, Tennis Player and Serial Killer.
    • Stephen King writes Romance Novels.
    • Quentin Tarantino Makes Video Games.
  • Running Gag: Patton's tanks blowing up. Nothingnow getting shot/stabbed in the same shoulder.
  • Sadist Teacher: KRALL and GeorgePatton.
  • Scary Black Man: Thyssyde, Othyrsyde's counterpart
  • Schedule Slip:
    • The first season took about five months to peter out. However, it has been averted with the second season, which has been posted on time every week, save once, when it was three hours late.
    • Admittedly, it did take a couple of weeks off, but those were announced well ahead of time, and were for good reason.
    • Happens a few times in Season 3.
  • Screw Yourself: Played with in 2x18, Krall and RHAF Krall get it on, while Fenrir ask Hecate what it's considered.
  • Self-Deprecation: Used at times. Most notably as a book titled "HOW TO GET BETTER WRITERS FOR YOUR INTERNET ORIGINAL SERIES"
  • Shamu Fu: Othyrsyde takes on the giant Lobster with a Shark.
  • Shock and Awe: Mojojojo's superpower.
  • Sitting on the Roof: done quite often. It's less romance and More Fleeing the Plot.
  • Sliding Scale of Fourth Wall Hardness: Depends on the writer.
  • Small Girl, Big Gun: Othyrsyde in 2x17. Yes, She's The Big Guy, but, well, no matter how you put it, a minigun's pretty damn big.
  • Snap Back: How else does the School recover from whatever just happened or how everyone else comes back to life?
  • Space Whale Aesop: in Classic Twilight Zone fashion, "The Creepy Zone" gets Aesops. Just not the kind you expect.
  • Spider Tank: The Austrian Death Machine. A laser-equipped walking monstrosity with a Coffee Maker for a head that spews Stallone and Schwarzenegger quotes. And its Successor, the Austrian Death Machine 2.0. This time with Hulk Hogan quotes.
  • Super Serum: Catboy's (Off Screen) attempt at making Citric Acid.
  • Take That!: US President Obama appears in one episode. . .
  • Tank Goodness: GeorgePatton's Sherman, and later on the Chaffee. Which is then Destroyed after a couple of episodes.
  • Tears of Joy: NothingNow at the end of "My Name Is" after avoiding getting shot out of a cannon by FDW.
  • That Came Out Wrong: While referring to the Catnip Fenrir stuffed into his pants
    Lord_Roem: Catboy wants what's in my pants.
    Nothingnow/Big_Tex: What.
  • The Gunslinger: Big Tex.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Due to the gender imbalance of the Site, the first actual female Character was Othyrsyde in Season 2. This seems to be ending, as EvilProdigy and Turquoise Blue have joined the cast.
  • The Stinger:
    • At the end of "Break Through the Dream Part 4", It turns out Nothingnow still has his lightsaber.
    • At the end of Boast Beatings Princess Rainbow Sparkle resurrect Turquoise_Blue as a pony.
    • At the End of Pony Wars a Massive fleet begins to move out to find the ponies.
    • Someone has plans for the Geist/Lord_Vetinari and Beedok.
  • Took a Level in Badass:
  • True Companions: As often as the group bickers with each other, they really do see each other as friends. Except FDW
  • Un-Canceled: the Series petered out after an 8-episode first season. Sense then, it's been brought back and is going strong.
  • Unexplained Recovery:
    • Several Characters have Died. They're usually back by the Next Episode.
    • Imajin attempts to explain how he came back, but Nothingnow cuts him off.
  • Unfazed Everyman: NothingNow, as far as we know.
  • Universal-Adaptor Cast: Following the Footsteps of AH.com: The Series, AH.com Wars, AH.com The Next Generation, and others.
  • Unsound Effect: Pelvic Thrust
  • Wham Episode: "Break Through the Dream: Did you See that Coming?" Othyrsyde Disappears into Light, as a Massive Ship appears on the Horizon.
  • Wham Line:
    • At the end of "CREEPY VS CREEPIER (WHO AM I TALKING ABOUT)":
      Fenrir_Angerboda: They beat them? Heh. I wouldn’t have hired them if I wasn’t sure they would lose.
    • At the End of "No More Nothingnow":
      Alt!Ynnead: I love you.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Occasionally Ynnead/Ryder. Even though He/She/It changes gender every time, the male version has been in a dress several times.
  • Words Can Break My Bones: Zombie Imajin fights by screaming words at Nothingnow and Somethingnow, and having the words turn into letters that fly towards and attack them.
  • Word Salad Title: At times. "Shiny Happy Krall's Christmas time massacre" is probably the best example.
  • Wrestler in All of Us:
    • Despite being a Pony, Iserlohn Performs Several The People's Elbow.
    • NothingNow Mentions that he has started watching wrestling videos to improve his fighting skills. He later uses several Suplexs against his opponents.
    • Beedok performs a Double Wrist Suplex against The Geist.

    The SOF Brigade 

The Main cast and focus of the Series, they're often enough at the center of what disaster, Giant Monster attack or small war happens to be happening this week.

FDW

The "Leader" of the SOF Brigade. The Other Characters hang out with him for no known reason.
  • Catchphrase: He had "MOAR MOTIVATION!" but it's fallen out of use.

YNNEAD

The only Sane man/woman of the group. Tends to Change gender depending on the episode.

CATBOY

Probably the youngest. A Red Blooded American. Much to everyone's displeasure. Has what is probably the most normal home life of the SOF Brigade. Despite pretty much everything.

LORD_ROEM

The Token Brit and the Resident Buttmonkey. He's in a relationship with Othyrsyde.

NOTHINGNOW

The normal one. Nothing really strange about him, and he seems to try and keep a cool head about things.So far.
  • All Jews Are Cheapskates: The SOF brigade's bookkeeper, and pretty good at the job. Took offense to this implication when first offered the position though.
  • Ambiguously Jewish: Not that they'll come out and directly say it, but after putting everything together it's really clear. His mother never refers to him by name. (It's an exaggeration of an old joke.)
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: He can accept What Lord_Roem, Catboy, Othyrsyde, Ynnead and ....Whatever Fenrir Is but has trouble believe what Evilprodigy is.
  • Ascended Extra: his first appearance was as a throwaway Gag in Season 1. he became a Main Character in Season 2.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: Implied to still hold his spot as #1 in the Association of Badasses.
  • Catchphrase: What.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: by simply surviving this long, he is now able to dodge bullets.
  • Chekhov's Skill: Has some experience operating a Tank, as established in FIELD TRIP, which later comes in useful in 2x11. Now if the cooking and Knife fighting account for anything, will it be a trifecta?
  • Combat Pragmatist: His fight with Imperialvienna involves kicking him in the groin to disrupt the laser codpiece.
  • Dare to Be Badass: Nothingnow joins the School's Association of Badasses to become Number one.
  • Distaff Counterpart: SomethingNow. No real difference.
  • The Hero: More-or-less fits the role.
  • Laser Blade: Gets one in "BREAK THROUGH THE DREAM, Part II". He is very disappointed that it is not Purple. After Reality resets itself, it does become Purple.
  • Last of His Kind: Along with Somethingnow, he is the last remaining Nothingnow In the Multiverse.
  • Made of Iron: He's regularly kicked off the roof of the building to no real effect (although he does complain about it being painful), then got shot in the shoulder and had to think about if he's been shot before. Blood loss will still do him in though. Even if he doesn't notice it until someone points it out. He's then mauled by Honey Badgers, stepped on 20+ Landmines, nearly blasted by a Kill Sat, and nearly had his heart torn out.
  • Official Couple: With Alt!Ynnead.
  • Parental Abandonment: Lives alone, but apparently on good enough terms with his mother. Makes sense, since she's a Pirate Queen. (Imagine the commute otherwise.)
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: Picks one up and Joined the Battle against the Australians as the Engineer.
  • The Stoic: He tries to be this, and fails when shit really hits the fan. It's more like he has Nerves of Steel. Considering the situation he's in, this is not entirely unexpected.
  • Unfazed Everyman: until he went native.
  • Yiddish as a Second Language: Normally uses very few Yiddishisms, but it comes out in stressful situations.

FENRIR_ANGERBODA

Sort of just...is there.No one really knows why.

OTHYRSYDE

The First major Female character. She's probably the most Sane out of the group, although that's not saying much. She's usually the most level headed out of the group.

EVILPRODIGY

The Winner of the contest to find a new member.
  • Action Girl: While we haven't seen her do much, she was one of the last surviving students during the Alien Invasion, and was able to fight Othyrsyde to either a standstill or win.
  • A Day in the Limelight: "ADVENTURE TIME WITH EVILPRODIGY"
  • All Girls Like Ponies: She Wants to be turned into a Pony, and follows them into the Zombie Apocalypse Pony Dimension

TURQUOISE BLUE

The ponified version of the character was forced to join in the aftermath of the failed Pony invasion.Only Tropes applying to this version of the Character should be put here.

    FACULTY AND STAFF 

THANDE

The Chemistry teacher. British and somewhat mad.a Group of Alternate Dimensional Thandes show up later to take something from the school.

BLUE MAX

Another Teacher, and fills in on occasion as an Assistant Principal, along with WARD. Surprisingly badass.

KRALL

The Map instructor. somewhat of a LARGE HAM. Becomes the Principal in the Future.

DOCTOR_WHAT

A Teacher.Tends to pop out of random things.
  • Apathetic Teacher: Can't find his own classroom. His students have to nag him about showing up.
  • Catchphrase: "I find that Strangely arousing".
  • Squick: In canon, he provides more than you thought possible.

EMPEROR_NORTON_I

The Ronald Reagan Instructor. He's also obsessed with The Beatles. He Tolerates the SOF brigade, but will ignore them if he has to. Becomes one of the Vice Principals in the future

ROUGE BEAVER

A Manipulative Canadian, becomes the club sponsor of the SOF Brigade in Season three.

DAVID_S_POEPOE

The School nurse.
  • Combat Medic: He's right there on the Frontlines, Slaughtering Australians alongside the Others.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Speaks gratuitous Lithuanian when upset.
  • Mad Scientist: He has his moments. During the Australian Invasion he was looking forward to dissecting the infected Students, Mentions Injecting FDW's Spinal fluids into Homeless Welsh Babies, and is about to vivisect one of the captured ponies.

GEORGEPATTON

The Gym Teacher from Hell. and still is, years later
  • Ax-Crazy: He's first shown Shooting at Students with a Rocket Launcher.
  • Back from the Dead: He Died in the Alien Invasion.
  • Body Horror: Fused to multiple tanks and becomes a horrific Man-machine Hybrid in "In Which Levels of Badass are taken". His future self is largely cybernetic.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: He Thinks he's the real George Patton.
  • Distaff Counterpart: GeorginaPatton. A young girl, but shares her Male counterpart's personality.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Very much so.
  • Expy: He's basically The Soldier from Team Fortress 2. So, logically, he becomes the Soldier during the Australian Invasion.
  • Gold Fever: In one episode. It actually makes him more rational than he usually is.
  • Shout-Out: Most of his lines are from Team Fortress 2.
  • Tank Goodness: He usually rides around in Tanks, although a number of them have been destroyed. In fact, this seems to be turning into a trend.

PRINCIPAL IAN

The Principal and founder of the school, and one of the people who made cross-time travel common.
  • The Dreaded: simply showing up made Princess Rainbow Sparkle willing to negotiate.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Fenrir refers to him as the personification of the Hanged King.

LEO CAESIUS

One of the Janitors, and a former Falafel delivery boy, hired after the Giant Salamander ate some of his predecessors. Likely massively overqualified for the position.

IRONYUPPIE

The Metal/Wood shop teacher.
  • Mrs. FixIt: Upgrades Nothingnow's Beam Katana.
  • The Black Smith: Mentions she forged TheUnmentionableSeaMammal's Revolasshotgun.

Princess Rainbow Sparkle

The Leader of the Brony horde, she eventually joins the staff teaching the History of Equestria.See Ponies.

    Other Students 

Students, and other people who generally don't fall into the other groups or seem to exist solely to be the butt of a Joke.

A Bit character. His only role seems to be to die. Which is almost every time he appears.

The New Kid.
  • Break the Cutie: He arrives optimistic about making new friends. His day ends with him sitting in a puddle of Urin, wondering what he got into.

  • Jerkass: she's the one who sends the Ponies into the Zombie Dimension.
  • Last of His Kind: The other Fenrir Angerboda counterpart left in the multiverse. It's implied that she killed all the others.

Thyssyde

Othyrsyde's Counterpart.
  • Hidden Depths: Thyssyde is apparently a master of Greek cuisine.

Goodprodigy

Evilprodigy's counterpart.

Turquoise Blue's Counterpart, who is also a pony.

    Future Space Children

    Fenrir:They’re Run by the Klopstockian. The Cooks are Tomanians, the Police are Freedonian, the Mechanics are from Grand Fenwick, the Lovers are Genovian and the Bankers are Welsh.

  • Crosses the Line Twice: So much. Especially FDW's antics. It's worth noting that the writers often seem unaware of there being such a thing. Although it turns out the Writers do have standards. A proposed idea to introduce a New Character was turned down because it was too creepy, and too complicated. NothingNow, as editor, has expressed the stance that if it isn't there to be funny, and it's otherwise disturbing or too squicky, he won't okay it.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Catgirl has become rather popular with some readers. After one Episode nonetheless. In fact, all of the Genderbent Characters have proven to be somewhat popular.
  • Growing the Beard: Arguably Season 2. More Insane than Season 1. More Random. and completely Awesome.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Season 1 had an episode called "THE REASON WE SHOULDN'T LET FENRIR WRITE MORE EPISODES." Guess who's written Most of series sense it's return?
    • Nothingnow and Kome fight by a pool. The writers later learned Kome cant swim. At all.
  • My Real Daddy: Possibly Nothingnow and Fenrir_Angerboda. Nothingnow took over the series, while Fenrir_Angeroda's first few stories set the tone for the second season.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • "The Beast and the the Blue" Caused several readers to dream of Giant Salamanders.
    • THE DISASSOCIATION OF OTHYRSYDE also scared a few readers.
    • Outside of the story, after Learning several Readers had Dreams about the Series, Fenrir_Angerboda was scared.
  • Squick:
    • Northstar and the Charmander.
    • A throwaway line has Fenrir_Angerboda mentioning the following:
    Fenrir_Angerboda:Oh….what a Lovely Girl..She’s undead and missing an arm and’s got her guts hanging out….Gimme some sugar baby.
  • OTP: alt!Ynnead and Nothingnow
  • The Woobie: Lord Roem has shades of this.
