Characters / Flower Knight Girl — Lily Wood

Go To

The central region of Spring Garden, connected to all other surrounding nations.

Nation-Wide Tropes

  • In Harmony with Nature: Out of all the nations, Lily Wood as a whole has the idea of living in harmony with nature ingrained since its inception. This is most reflected with the majority of the region, outside of the infrastructure around the World Flower and interconnected roads with other nations, being a largely untouched forest with no major human influence.

No.: 59
Rarity: ★★
Attribute: Blunt
Affection Item: Jewels
Language of Flowers: Limelight, Eccentric
Artist: Unknown

  • Always Someone Better: Her attempts at standing out amongst the other Flower Knights often results in her feeling inferior by comparison. Like how she tries to play up her hammer as nothing like the other girls' weapons, only to encounter Edelweiss, who uses her hammer like a segway.
  • Attention Whore: Wishes to stand out and be noticed by anyone and everyone, and gets upset at others refusing to pay any mind to her.

    Edelweiss

Rarity: ★★★★★
New Year: ★★★★★★
Attribute: Blunt
Affection Item: Cake
Language of Flowers: Precious Memories, Endurance
Artist: Myonko

  • Glacier Waif: Edelweiss' short stature plus lack of defined muscles don't suggest she'd be able to hold and swing around that massive hammer/roller, yet she can hoist it over her shoulders no problem.
  • Utility Weapon: Non-gaming example; her massive hammer doubles as a segway roller, as shown in her movement animation on the field.
  • Weapon Twirling: For regular/Skill attacks, Edelweiss starts by swinging her hammer in a spinning motion before landing the attack itself, either for building momentum or just for spectacle.

    Dandelion

Tanpopo/Dandelion

No.: 61
Rarity: ★★★★
Attribute: Blunt
Affection Item: Stuffed Animals
Language of Flowers: God's Word, True Love
Artist: Unknown

  • Cheerful Child: She's a young girl with an optimistic disposition, striving to self-improve herself.
  • Coming of Age Story: A self-contained variant; Dandelion is a newly-graduated Flower Knight from Knight's school, with her Character Quest focusing on her self improvement to being a grown-up Flower Knight.
  • Flower Motifs: Dandelions, naturally. She features the flower as a hairclip, and her skirt is themed after its petals.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: While interaction is limited, she's implied to be this to Cornflower, the former being the latter's student. They generally support each-other on the battlefield in the nation missions, and one 4-koma has Dandelion invite Cornflower to sunbathe on a grass hill.
  • Tareme Eyes: The kind and cheerful Dandelion is depicted with eyes that angle downward.

    Cornflower

No.: 62
Rarity: ★★★★
Attribute: Magic
Affection Item: Books
Language of Flowers: Education, Trust, Celibate Life
Artist: Unknown

  • Badass Teacher: In addition to her original job being about Flower Knight education, she's specifically taken on a Flower Knight role to avert any further casualties of her young students.
Cornflower: If I can reduce the burden of the young knights even a little by standing on the battlefield, nothing would make me happier.
  • Blow You Away: Her Skill attack is the aptly named magic spell "Tornado", summoning offensive spiraling wind on the opponent (it also traces back to below Cornflower, but she's quick to preserve her modesty).
  • Old Maid: Implied. One of her flower meanings is "Celibate Life"note , and she made many comments suggesting that she's unhappy with getting older; one of her idle lines noting that she doesn't like stuff involving age, birthdays, or wrinkles.

  • Bodyguard Crush: Serving as the Commander's bodyguard, she naturally experiences this trope upon reaching the Affection milestone.
  • Declaration of Protection: Proclaims herself as the Commander's "shadow" upon meeting; willing to stand by the Commander's backside to protect them from all manner of threats.
  • Undying Loyalty: She proclaims in a mid-Affection line that if the Commander loses their way/role, she'll still standby as a protector until her own death.

    Snowflake

Snowflake

No.: 64
Rarity: ★★★★
Attribute: Slash
Affection Item: Jewels
Language of Flowers: Compassionate, Untouched Mind
Artist: Unknown

  • Chekhov's Gunman: At the start of Mission 30 in the main campaign, Snowflake would be sent off by Edelweiss to acquire tea. Much latter on in Mission 32, when the Commander is fatally injured upon taking a hit from an ambushing pest, Snowflake would arrive on the scene with a canteen of hot water (initially intended for said tea) that would be essential to the Commander's survival.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: For all her faults as a maid, she's no less competent as a Flower Knight, something Edelweiss herself is quick to cite in spite of concerns of working independently.
  • The Ditz: Snowflake is not all there in terms of wavelength. Just as an example, she assumes that a rundown hut in the middle of the snowy Winter Rose is Edelweiss's mansion simply because she heard her voice coming from there, despite all the glaring contradictions this assumption brings.
  • The Klutz: She's suppose to be a maid, yet her work leaves a lot to be desired. If she's made to clean up a mess, she may end up creating a mess.

    Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea

No.: 65
Rarity: ★★★★
Attribute: Blunt
Affection Item: Stuffed Animals
Language of Flowers: Faint Joy, Departure, Delicate
Artist: Unknown

  • Hidden Depths: Explored in her character quest. On the clock, she's a hard working, responsible figure who advises others to better care for themselves and reprimands slackers such as Ionosidium and Epidendrum. Off the clock, she spends her free time lazing at home and indulging in sweets and juices that goes against her typical health advice, a hobby she's ashamed to openly reveal.
  • I Gave My Word: She considers whatever work or job she's given as a promise, one that she takes very seriously.
  • Taught by Experience: By the third act of her character quest, after coming to terms with her slacker lifestyle during her free time, she's gotten good at knowing where the slacker Flower Knights would hide due to her prior experience; if a certain place looks particularly relaxing to lay in, chances are, that's where the slacker's hiding.
  • Weapon Specialization: Wields a large mallet that's designed after the budding of her flower.

  • Critical Hit Class: Increases the crit-rate of her team by 20%, with said crits also dealing 15% more damage.
  • Extra Turn: Once Rarity Grown, she's given a chance of attacking again half the time on her turns.
  • Sweet Baker: Lilac's proficient in making baked goods, and she carries a do-good attitude who wishes for nothing but happy memories.

    Chocolate Lily

Kuroyuri/Chocolate Lily

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stand_152703_m.png

No.: 67note
Rarity: ★★★★★★
New Year: ★★★★★
Attribute: Slash
Affection Item: Cake
Language of Flowers: Curse, Love
Artist: Gunjou Pizu

  • Bust-Contrast Duo: With her friend Geranium, a friendly and inviting girl with a ridiculous bust size. Chocolate Lily in contrast is The Aloner with self-worth issues, who is completely flat.
  • Death Seeker: She willingly goes alone when fighting Pests in the hopes that her life will be ended. Unfortunately for her, whatever associates she has aren't willing to let that happen.
  • Doom Magnet: She considers herself "cursed" like her flower meaning says, due to ending up as the Sole Survivor in past subjugations.
  • Flower Motifs:
    • Her general theme of death — whether caused around her or seeking it herself — reference's the Chocolate Lily's fragrance smelling akin to a corpse, which attracts flies as a method of pollination. That, in addition to the coloration of the flower looking like a deceased Lily.
    • Her New Year form, in addition to featuring her namesake in the patterns of her yukata and as a hair-piece, also features the familiar red of a Geranium alongside the aforementioned patterns in the dress and as a hair-clip. This alludes to her Odd Friendship with Geranium, as well as the latter having likely influenced Chocolate Lily's dress.
  • Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: She's the grumpy to Geranium's gleeful, preferring to go Pest-hunting alone in the hopes of dying, in contrast to Geranium seeing her as a friend and refusing to leave her be.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Underneath the death-seeking angst is somebody who still embodies the typical virtue of a Flower Knight, willing to save a person in need. And while she won't admit it directly, she does express gratefulness towards those that care/are concerned for her.
  • I See Dead People: She claims to see ghosts of those she had witnessed dying in the past, with these ghosts telling her to keep on fighting.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: She dubs herself "The Grim Reaper" due to her inherent Doom Magnet nature.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Post-Aqua Shadow battle, Chocolate Lily speaking of cooperating with the others results in everyone present responding with Stunned Silence, since she normally works alone.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Chocolate Lily's response to her Aqua Shadow calling themselves The Grim Reaper, aided by her suddenly transforming into their Evolution form.
Chocolate Lily: I am your grim reaper.

    Tulip sisters
A group of sibling doctors commonly known as "witches" for their... eccentricities.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Quirky as the Tulip sister are, they're still dedicated to their respective profession, and each prove very effective at it. Though consequently, their aforementioned quirkiness has garnered them a notorious reputation as "witches".
  • Color-Coded Characters: The girls naturally represent their namesakes color in their appearance; Red Tulip, Yellow Tulip, Purple Tulip, and White Tulip. Though, in Yellow Tulip's case, her respective color is actually secondary to her blue-white outfit. This becomes much more pronounced with their Knight Medic forms, which puts more focus on their respective colors.
  • Combat Medic: They're all doctors with their own medical field, yet double as Flower Knights with their own range in ass-kicking.
  • Weapon Specialization: They each got their own choice of weaponry; Red Tulip's dual magic guns, Yellow Tulip's hammer, Purple Tulip's Spell Book, and White Tulip's Magic Staff.

Attribute: Blunt
Affection Item: Cake
Language of Flowers: Fruitless Romance, Honesty
Artist: Unknown

  • The Colored Cross: She had a red cross on the lower left of the inner dress, which was later replaced with a Heart Symbol in a later update. Oddly, the old design is still retained in her sprite depiction, presumably due to the red cross being too hard to see on it in regular gameplay.
  • For Science!: Subjects her patients to acting as test subjects for whatever concoction she makes for the purpose of experimentation, even if she runs the risk of giving the patient something unsafe for consumption.
  • Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: The fact that she's rather brazen about testing her concoctions on random people is cause for concern, particularly because she does so for the sake of gauging it being safe or not.

Purple Tulip

No.: 70note
Rarity: ★★★★
Knight Medic: ★★★★★★
Attribute: Magic
Affection Item:
Language of Flowers: Undying Love, Eternal Love
Artist: Unknown

  • Hyper-Awareness: Her perceptiveness is certainly something else, allowing her to fully analyze a person's thoughts and intentions through their body language and other key details. Not only does she find out the Commander's searching for a lost document, she even finds a pen the Commander lost sight of several months ago, despite not being informed of either directly.
  • The Shrink: Of the Awesome variety; she's incredibly talented at reading the hearts and thoughts behind a person, making her the most competent of the sister aside from White Tulip. The only person that she admits not being able to read one's heart is the Commander — while she can effectively read a lot of their actions in the Character Quest, being able to sense their feelings is another matter, which is troubling for her since she wishes to know how they feel about her.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: Pulls this off multiple times in her Character Quest, vanishing from the Commander's sight the moment he looks away, even multiple times while in the same room.

  • Association Fallacy: Because of White Tulip being a sibling to the other oddball Tulip sisters, many people think she's just as much as a "witch" like the others, despite trying her darnedest to play the sane role.
  • Only Sane Woman: She's well aware of her sisters reputation as "witches", and tries to be the stable one of the group.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Chapter 1 of the Tulip sisters Bloom Story ends this way for poor White Tulip, having trekked all the way to a herb colony only to realize, from an ill-placed note from Yellow Tulip, that there was an extra box in the basement containing the missing stock needed.

    Silver Orchid

  • Close-Range Combatant: She's a Knight that fights with her hand-guarded fists, getting up close and personal with her enemies. Even her Buster Swing skill has a distinct short range.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: Her skill attack is Buster Swing, a short-ranged blast of energy from between her hands.
  • Starter Mon: She's one of the four randomly chosen Flower Knights — the others being Turnip Rape, Saint Paulia, and Great Burnet — that is automatically given to the player upon logging in for the first time.

    Glory of the Sun

No.: 83
Rarity: ★★★★★
Attribute: Magic
Affection Item: Cake
Language of Flowers: Warm Heart, Faith
Artist: Unknown

  • Green Thumb: Her attacks consist of striking the ground with her staff to summon a tree that instantly grows beneath the opponent, with her imbuing the staff with The Power of the Sun to empower it further for the skill attack.
  • Meaningful Name: Her alias is "Glory of the Sun" because her family had originated from the sunny nation of Banana Ocean before they had to move to Lily Wood 200 years ago.
  • Not That Kind of Doctor: She addresses herself as a doctor of sorts, but she isn't necessarily in the medical field — rather, she specializes in counseling and physical therapy (including massages and flexibility exercises), all to give people the healthy body to not need a doctor.

    Flowering Dogwood

No.: 84note
Rarity: ★★★★★★
Yukata: ★★★★★

Language of Flowers: React to my Heart, Returning a Favor
Artist: Utsurogi Akira

  • Gratuitous English: She speaks in broken Japanese — peppering her speech with English words/phrases throughout most of her dialogue.
Flowering Dogwood (Yukata): (when attacking) Kick ass!
  • Love at First Sight: Outright calls what she feels as this trope word-for-word in her introduction, proclaiming her feelings for the Commander from start to finish.
  • Playing with Fire: Summons rings of fire with just a spin of her dagger.

    Geranium

No.: 90note
Rarity: ★★★★★
Alternate Forms: ★★★★★★
Attribute: Slash
Affection Item: Cake
Language of Flowers: Friendship, Comfort, Determination, Love
Artist: shuz

  • Bust-Contrast Duo: With her friend Chocolate Lily, a flat-chested loner who wants to die. In contrast to Geranium, a friend-seeking girl with a heart that's almost as big as her bust size.
  • D-Cup Distress: Downplayed, as she doesn't always note this about her bust, but she does experience instances of certain clothes she wears being problematic; her yukata is either too tight around her figure to the point of restricting her movement, or loosened too much at risk of her top coming undone.
  • Flower Motifs: Her Yukata form, while naturally having her namesake flower pattern adorned on the dress, it also features some Chocolate Lilies mixed in, referencing her Odd Friendship with Chocolate Lily.
  • Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: She's the gleeful to Chocolate Lily's grumpy, wishing to make friends and get along with them, in contrast to Chocolate Lily wanting to be alone and seek death.
  • Odd Friendship: Both Geranium and Chocolate Lily both seems to be at far sides of the spectrum in both personality and looks. The latter is a pessimistic loner who seeks death, while the latter is an inviting girl who seeks friendship. Her mid-Affection dialogue reveals that she gotten interested in Chocolate Lily because of how much of a polar opposite she was.
  • Only Friend: Ironically, despite one of her flower meanings being "Friendship" along with her generally nice demeanor, she doesn't have that many friends outside of Chocolate Lily.

  • Blue Blood: She's the daughter of an aristocrat, but subverts the usual characterization by being an Outdoorsy Gal when she was a child.
  • Outdoorsy Gal: At least as a child, she preferred to experience the world outside and honing her sensibilities instead of staying enclosed at home and reading text books, which made other aristocrats call her a barbarian.

    Night Phlox

  • Kimono Fanservice: Night Phlox's first Evolution puts her into a dark kimono with the occasional floral pattern, serving to highlight her mature figure.
  • Motherly Side Plait: To complement her motherly image, she's got the side ponytail hanging off her right shoulder.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: While her mother isn't shown, Night Phlox remarks having been compared to her mother several times in her Vice-Leader lines — and not just because she has a motherly personality, being told she looks just like them.
  • Younger Than They Look: Implied. She's genuinely confused as to why people say she looks like a mother, remarking that she doesn't have a husband nor a child.

  • Fantastic Firearms: She's a Magic attribute Knight wielding a rifle that fires energy blasts.
  • Loyal Animal Companion: She's flanked by several woodland creatures (a rabbit, a racoon, a mouse, and a bird) who seem to pull her weight around and assist her in many ways.
  • Professional Slacker: She's dead set on relaxing and putting off tasks in spite of being a Flower Knight. As for how she chose to become a Flower Knight, her parents duping her can be thanked for that, making her think it was an easy paying job that would allow her to live comfortably.
  • Sleepyhead: She prefers to relax to the point that she habitually nods off in circumstances where she needs to do her job — ie, her idle animations, particularly her Swimsuit form.

  • In-Series Nickname: She's called Hikeshi (火消し), meaning "Fireman", by her fellow Flower Knights whenever she extinguishes a conflict between the knights.
  • Miko: She was raised by her grandfather as a child, who's a Shinto Priest. Ginkgo in turn is intended to take over as a priestess, though she's holding off on that career for now with her current job as a Flower Knight.

  • Determinator: Despite denouncing herself as the weakest link who's slow to build up her strength, she insists that she'll continue to improve herself through training.
  • Don't Look At Me: She doesn't like being stared at whenever she's in the middle of training, asking the Commander at low affection to not break her concentration this way. Becomes inverted when at high affection, asking the Commander to watch her as she trains.
  • Hero-Worshipper: She greatly admires Crowea, to the point that she mimics some of her poses, like their idle animation of holding a hand outstretched.

  • Childhood Friends: With Firethorn, someone who similarly has an interest in seeing and scrutinizing over cute girls.
  • Nosebleed: If Apple encounters a Flower Knight, expect her to lose herself to their beauty and faint in this manner. It has gotten to the point that in the Tanabata special event, the Commander keeps a blood-transfusion device on hand to keep Apple's blood-loss in check.
  • Stupid Sexy Flanders: Exaggerated. Any girl Apple comes across will leave her absolutely smitten — which, given the type of world Apple lives in, is inevitable for her — resulting in her fainting from a Nosebleed.
  • Tempting Apple: She's based on the Malus domestica tree, commonly known as the apple tree, and she's got "Temptation" as one of her Language of Flowers. She even has a golden apple as the catalyst for her magic attacks. Personalty-wise, Apple's well known for how much she obsesses over the beauty of every girl she sees, with her self-destructing into a Nosebleed.

  • Holiday Motif: Representing the fir tree, she naturally also represents the Christmas tree, what with her coniferous tree-like dress adorned with various ornaments, even being accompanied by two gingerbread men familiars.
  • Informed Attribute: She's stated to be rather tall among Flower Knights, yet because of the presentation of the Visual Novel cutscenes and the slightly deformed sprites in gameplay, it's hard to discern her being that much taller from the other knights designed by the same artist.
  • Light 'em Up: For her skill attack, Saint Lucia, she summons a beam of holy light from the heavens to smite her chosen foes.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's received many comments about how tall she is, and while she developed a bit of a complex for it, the Commander reassures her that she's attractive all the same.

  • Berserk Button: Don't go mistaking her as being the same as the Tulip sisters with her doctor career in question, due to their reputation as "witches" with various quirks to them. She especially isn't fond of being compared to Red Tulip.
  • Combat Medic: She's a doctor in Lily Wood, but also a Flower Knight who dedicated to helping people in both manners.

  • Compulsive Liar: She's been habitually lying 24/7, allegedly since her childhood. The only positive to this behavior is how she doesn't tell extremely serious lies and typically reveals them for what they are.
  • Hidden Weapons: The gun holster beneath her dress is fairly obvious, but then you see her umbrella actually doubles as a rifle, and her monkey companion has a gun as well.
  • Reverse Psychology: As a predictor of the Swanboat Races, she is oftentimes incorrect about her assumptions regarding the boating participants — meaning the correct guess is anybody that she doesn't predict for.

  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Exaggerated when it comes to Asian Bleeding Heart — normally, she a stern and stoic who's otherwise caring underneath the exterior, but she shows a completely different side to her when she expresses love for her sister; the "sugar" outpacing the "ice" by a mile.

  • Blood Knight: She loves to fight, not having a sense of mission like other Flower Knights when it comes to eliminating Pests, only doing so because she finds the thrill of felling a difficult foe fun.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: In two of her Bloomed lines, she expresses disgust at the Commander talking to any other Flower Knight, saying that he should only have her as a subject of love.
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: She doesn't emote as strongly, so she conveys her emotions with various onomatopoeia (nikoniko, shikushiku, meramera, ukiuki, etc).
  • The Stoic: She speaks in a quiet tone of voice that shows little to no emotion, substituting it with onomatopoeia speak. This and her manner of speaking also ended up rubbing her prior knightschool teacher the wrong way, who told her to "speak normally".

Nightshade's loyal servant.
  • Butt-Monkey: If Nightshade with her incompetent villainy isn't the butt of a joke, then Larkspur definitely is, what with the way she struggles with wielding her weapon, being subject to said weapons whims in her skill attack, and her attempts at being the messenger of Nightshade in the Yonkoma not panning out, being trapped in a tree as Streptocarpus and Japanese Barberry try to shake her out of it.
  • Rocket-Powered Weapon: Her weapon is a mechanical hammer with rocket boosters that also doubles as a transformable Jet Pack. While the rocket booster is meant to make it easier for Larkspur to swing the weapon around, it never seems to work out whenever she wants it to, as evident by her attacking animation where she struggle to swing it forward, only hitting the opponent after the booster turn on at an inopportune moment.

  • Older Than She Looks: She's had people think that she's younger than her actual age due to her "baby face" appearance.
  • Patriotic Fervor: She holds a strong love for Lily Wood, being a self-appointed tour ambassador for the nation to show off what she likes about it, even having one of her language of flowers be "Patriotism". Though, she insists that she doesn't really believe in her own namesake's Floriography, as while she naturally loves her birthplace, she doesn't believe in the extreme methods of putting down other countries.

  • Literal-Minded: In the Yonkoma, when considering methods of expressing love, she misinterprets the wall-pound — the kabe-don — as literally striking at the closest wall with her weapon while shouting declarations of love.
  • Rescue Romance: She fell in love with the Commander ever since being saved by them when she got lost in the forest and was attacked by Pests, with her later becoming a Flower Knight to meet up with them, leading to this trope at high affection.
  • Sexy Sweater Girl: She wears a sleeveless sweater with a skirt that hugs her figure. The pre-Mobile depiction goes even further, wearing a sweater (with the cape) that serves to barely preserve her modesty in addition to having a Cleavage Window.

  • Covered in Gunge: The end result of her skill attack, flinging a stream of cake batter to strike the foe from above, with some of the batter falling back to Wheat, coating her in head to toe with the stuff.
  • Supreme Chef: She's a pastry chef who took up the profession due to making sweets for her ill mother, who was greatly please from the pastries offered. A young girl who's a travelling wedding and funeral organizer, who aspires to bring happiness to others through her efforts.
  • Childhood Friends: With Formosa Lily, who despite looking uncannily alike in appearance, are just close friends living in the same neighborhood.
  • Identical Stranger: She and her childhood friend Formosa Lily, aside from the obvious differences and the more subtle contrasting elements, look very alike, which is topped off by them sharing the same artist.
  • Mistaken for Related: To everybody else, Formosa Lily appears to be Easter Lily's twin sister. As she's quick to clarify towards the Commander, they're not related at all, and are at most friends who coincidentally look alike. Not that it stops the latter from using this to her advantage.
  • My Greatest Failure: Her motivation for becoming a Flower Knight stems from how she only able to watch a Pest attack "take away the happiness" from a wedding ceremony, with Easter Lily unable to forgive herself for being helpless in that scenario.
  • Nice Girl: Taking after her parent's philosophy regarding caring for others, she gives priority to other people's happiness, and in turn feels happy in response. To quote her: "Someone else's happiness is my joy".

Spoon Wood: They've bitten Spoon Wood a lot, they love me so much!
  • Childhood Friends: With Satsuki, another Flower Knight in the genus of Ericaceae, who influenced her decision to become a Flower Knight and "accomplish thrilling things" to reach a standard of elegance.
  • Cuddle Bug: She loves to receive hugs, even opening her introduction with them asking (and receiving) a hug from the Commander.
  • Flower Motifs:
    • Her ownership of a parasol stems from her flower looking like the underside from an umbrella.
    • She's got a (literal) wooden spoon on hand, as the common name "spoon wood" stems from Native Americans using the plant's wood to carve into spoons.
    • The leaves of the plant are actually poisonous to animals such as sheep, earning it the nickname Sheepkill, hence why she's bad with treating Lamb's Ear's kin and being treated equally in return.
  • Parasol of Pain: She's got an elegant parasol that she swings around opened up for her attacks.
  • Skinship Grope: She enjoys feeling up the bust of any Flower Knights in secret, largely out of a desire to feel soft and fluffy things in general, which may or may not have any indication of perversity due to her general innocent nature.

Vice-President of the Lily Wood Senate, who invited Flower Knights into the previously formal group. She struggles with public speakings, to point that she's prone to biting her tongue.
  • Dragon Tamer: She's accompanied by a dragon named Stra (ストラ), which serves as her attacker in her various skill attacks across her forms.
  • Hope Bringer: According to her generic phrase line as Vice-Leader, she indicates that she wants herself, alongside others, to stand tall to live up to the people's expectations; saying "in times like these, people are looking for hope". Her alternate form's title, "Nova Vice-President of Hope", makes this trope more prominent.
  • Shrinking Violet: She's afraid of looking into the eyes of others, which makes it hard for her when it comes her job. She gets better at interacting with lone individuals, but she still struggles with public meetings that include lots of people, especially when she's meant to take the stage like in the senate.
  • Summon Magic: Her Nova Vice-President of Hope form features this ability upon Blooming, with Tarragon summoning Stra after attacking three times in a battle. Once summoned to battle, Stra uses high multiplier damaging attacks (15x normally, 35x with its on-summon attack Drachen Blitz) that hits all enemies, with its normal attacks only hitting enemies weak to Magic, and leaving a Damage-Increasing Debuff of 70% that lasts even if they leave the battle after five turns.

  • D-Cup Distress: Because of the unusual size of her bust (as well as her butt), she's limited with the outfits that she can wear, and those that she can wear sometimes run the risk of tearing or undergoing Wardrobe Malfunction.
  • Formerly Fat: She was once on the chubby side in her youth, which changed once she had gotten taller growing up, with the mass transfering... elsewhere on her person. Namely, up top and down below.

  • Kevlard: In the Yonkoma, Cobra Lily's body fat proves effective at blocking an incoming punch from an angry Seashore Pink — the latter girl quickly finding respect in her from this.
  • Meaningful Name: Named after a pitcher plant that looks like a cobra rearing back with its fangs barred, Cobra Lily's naturally associated with a cobra snake as an animal companion, while she herself has a flute that gives her the image of a Snake Charmer.
  • Raised as the Opposite Gender: Growing up, she used to be raised like a boy up until her younger brother was born. This references the Japanese Cobra Lily being one type of plant that alters its sex for a period of time to conserve its energy.
  • Snake Charmer: She's accompanied by a cobra as her animal companion, and she's equipped with a flute as the catalyst for her attacks.

The few people she can connect with are naturally those who are Immune to Mind Control.

A member of Deep Record, codename "Scoop-chan". While largely playing the role of support since her introduction, an epiphany would allow the World Flower to gift her the strength of a Flower Knight, along with the once-discarded name "Pothos", in the battle against Hraesvelgr.
  • Animal Motifs: Bunnies, due her unique headpiece giving bunny ears, with her appearance in the Garden animation where she peaks out of a hole she dug giving the look of a rabbit peaking out of a burrow. She even gets a Playboy Bunny outfit as a purchasable skin.

  • Flower Motifs: Her namesake flower Pothos symbolizes many hopeful traits such as perseverance, determination and positivity. The fact that Scoop-chan once discarded said name and Flower Knight profession corespondences with her loss of hope in the prior circumstances, with her regaining both as a symbol of that renewed hope.
  • Fourth-Wall Observer: She seems to have an acute fourth wall awareness in moments outside the main story, much to the confusion of anybody alongside her. From taking over Nazuna's role as an assistant in a very meta manner for the 2020 April Fools event, to flashing a peace sign towards the viewer in the "Shining Inventions and Rising Stars of History" Flower Memory (with Tampala even wondering where she's looking at). She gets this even more in the few 4-koma comics she's featured in, directly tampering with one of the panels to censor out a close-up of Isogiku's bust, or even directly asking the viewers to repost for all the swimwear she and Bamboo displayed.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her "Bunny" skin, obtained from an Item Pack, puts her in this ensemble.
  • Shovel Strike: Upon becoming a Flower Knight, her usual shovel and mini-shovels used for digging get an upgrade to be used in combat, the former for bashing and the latter for throwing.
  • Took a Level in Idealism: She initially shunned away from becoming a Flower Knight due to concluding from her research how hopeless it seemed to try and truly win against the Pests, but upon realizing what the modern Flowers Knights have achieved that those in the past have not, she comes around to believing in them and to directly help them, with the reawakening of her World Flower blessing following suit.

The general of Deep Record, with the codename of "Abyss".
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: She showcases a fighting style that Solomon's Seal thought was seeing into the future, which is actually Liatris taking into account the movement of her opponent as she fights them.
  • The Leader: She's the Deep Record, something that most other members of the group didn't knew she (a "recently joined" member of the group) was until she casually reveals it to the Commander in "The Weavers of Abyssal History" event.
  • Secret Identity: She kept an incredibly low profile of her status within the very organization she leads; even as she joins the group as an alleged new recruit, with Regal Lily long serving as her assistant that substitutes for her role.

A member of Deep Record, codename "Crown", who leads the group on behalf of Liatris, the general.
  • Beneath the Mask: Her front is that of a dignified and strict leader, yet she's actually quite timid and nervous. Whatever dignified air she presents gets thrown away when something bad happens to those that comfort her, such as with Liatris's soul getting subject to forced reincarnation by the Great Spirit — not only did she lose her cool and cry aloud at her friend disappearing, seeing their fate averted at the last moment her hug them out of relief.
  • Mage Marksman: She's a Magic-type Flower Knight wielding one big gun that fires blasts of energy.
  • Meaningful Name: Both her names fit her appearance — Regal Lily because of her royalty-looking ensemble and hair, Crown because of what she wears — yet her actual leadership is subverted, being the assistant to the actual commanding lead.
