  • D-Cup Distress: Not at all fond of her large breasts due to the attention and stares it garners her, with other mishaps related to them such as getting soaked in table soup drawing further ire.
  • Pointy Ears: She has pointy elf-like ears.
  • Showgirl Skirt: Her dress has a long skirt that splits at the front to reveal her legs.
  • Shrinking Violet: Wintersweet was raised to "be modest, be reserved, and don't get ahead of yourself" by her parents, who suddenly changed their stance late into her life to put her into the Flower Knight career. As such, she doesn't like the attention suddenly drawn to her so suddenly after a life of solitude, especially because of her bust.

  • Oral Fixation: Most if not all her appearances keep a lit cigarette in her mouth, even in the heat of combat.
  • Workaholic: Dedicated to her job as a Flower Knight to such an extent that she's quick to note in her introduction that she and the Commander are a knight and a lord respectively, making it clear that she doesn't want to be meddled with in her line of work.

  • Outdoorsy Gal: In spite of her status as an aristocrat, she spent her childhood growing up in nature, walking around the forest outside of Lily Wood and climbing trees for fun. And this carried over into her adulthood, given how she confesses to climbing a tree to spot the Commander from afar in one login line.

  • Childhood Friend Romance: She was friends with the Commander in childhood, and is overjoyed with reuniting with them in a fateful reunion.
  • Flower Motifs: The sharp-looking bow and and arrow design appear to draw inspiration from Agave's namesake plant, specifically the sharp leaves with its pointed tips and thorn edges. She's even featured prominently in the 2019 Promotional Video for the launch of the Mobile ports.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Starting off, she's at most wary of the Commander and keeps to herself, only past a certain point does her attitude make a complete 180.
  • Soul Eating: The way she talks about gobbling up her foes in combat, along with using her dark magic for her attacks, seems to suggest that she feasts upon the souls of fallen pests.
  • Stealth Pun: The way her name Torikabuto is written as "鳥兜" in dialogue translates to "bird-hat", which takes on a new meaning in her Bloomed Evolution, where she wears a hat called an eboshi (烏帽子), also translating to bird-hat.
  • The Tease: Exaggerated. Past her Defrosting Ice Queen phase, she's not at all subtle about her interest in the Commander, getting rather... explicit with her intentions. From offering foodstuff that's laced with aphrodisiacs, trying to make swimsuits the standard working attire for summer, wearing a virgin-killer sweater in her "Commander-Bewitching Clothes" skin, the list goes on...

  • Fangirl: She's a big fan of Pouch Flower's work.

  • Redhead In Green: Red haired with a green militia ensemble.
  • Squee: Gifting Habanero the preferred gift type (books, implicitly the kind she likes in this case) has her let out an excited squeal unlike her normal front as a militia captain, getting stammer-y and lacking composure as she thanks the Commander.

This references her namesake plant having a massive lifespan of roughly a thousand years or more, making them informally known as a living fossil among plants.

  • Cuteness Proximity: She keeps her mask on when in the company of others, but once alone with a bunch of cats, she starts indulging in her love of cats.
  • Flower Motifs: She's based on the Nepeta genus of flowering plants, famously known as catnip for the effect it has on felines. As such, the girl is not only a Kindhearted Cat Lover, she attracts cats to her with her very scent.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: Even if she actively denies and hides it, she's a huge lover of cats, to the point she'd get depressed (with her performance as a Flower Knight talking a hit) if she doesn't get enough contact with a feline.
  • Still Believes in Santa: Inverted. For her Christmas holiday line(s), to further show off her "mature" attitude, she claims to not believe in Santa Cause... but then subverts that once she makes comments wondering, if he does exist, that she'll be able to get a present.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: The fact that she claims to not care about cats out of the blue in her recruitment introduction is the first sign that she does, in fact, like cats.
  • Wolverine Claws: Her main weaponry is a pair of long claws attached to a gauntlet.

  • Fairytale Motifs: She's based on the Queen of Hearts from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, looking the part of a queen with her crown and Pimped-Out Dress.
  • Heart Symbol: Not only based on the Queen of Hearts due to her heart motif, the plant she's based on, Maytenus diversifolia, is given its nickname due to the plump red fruit sprouting from its top resembling that of the heart symbol.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite projecting the image of a haughty queen, along with having trust-related issues, she is nothing like her inspiration. If anything, she freely admits to calling her associates her friends, in spite of seeing them as unthinking and indecisive.

  • Hero-Worshipper: She's been a hero fanatic ever since getting rescued by a Flower Knight when she was in a tight spot, inspiring her to become the true definition of a hero. She particularly found herself enamored with Marina Katsuragi in the latter's Crossover event, calling her a true definition of a hero.
  • Primal Fear: Back when she was a child, she was kept locked up in a warehouse, the experience of which developed an aversion to the dark; she also enjoys basking in the sunlight more than the average folk as a result.
  • Sword Beam: Her skill attack, "Heroes never lose!", has her jab her rapier to fire beams of energy with each stab, the frequency of which getting faster as it goes on until the final finishing blow.

  • Girlish Pigtails: She's a little girl with her hair tied into pigtails.
  • Hidden Depths: One of her Language of Flowers seems to indicate this trope behind her behavior; given how she gradually becomes The Tease, its implied her behavior is her odd way of showing affection.
  • Jerkass to One: A variant; she's an absolute brat who likes to annoy the Commander, but she seems to limit this behavior to only the Commander, as she otherwise does her duties more seriously when given them by other Flower Knights.

  • Tragic Keepsake: That coffin of hers is a symbol of her oath to restore her destroyed village. While the contents of it are never directly specified by her, the fact that it summons a ghostly deer in her skill attack implies another tragic loss in the incident.

A magical girl who's transformed by the Root of the World Flowers deep underground.
  • Cute Witch: She's a young and adorable witch who's got potent powers courtesy of the World Flower Root.
  • Flower Motifs: The Verbena officinalis has long been associated with the divine and other supernatural, having a long-standing use as a medical plant, with it being known as the "Sacred herb" by the Greeks since it's ascribed a thousand marvelous properties. Not only does Vervain have "Magic" as her Language of Flowers, along with an ability to give other Flower Knights the Magic attribute, she's a witch girl who got blessed by the World Flower Roots to gift her an incredibly potent magic unlike most magic focused Flower Knights, with her aspiring to hone said magic and become a powerful wizard.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Despite having books as her chosen gift type, it's implied that she's this trope as well. Teddy bears are prominently featured in her design, from her dress having the image as an insignia somewhere, to her staff being designed with the head of a teddy bear.
  • Magical Girl: While Vervain's a Cute Witch, her special ability allows her to transform her outfit mid-fight into this form of ensemble, complete with Frills of Justice.
  • Power Incontinence: She's not used to this unusual form of magic, and things can go wrong if she's not at ease. From comedically turning the Commander into a hairball by accident, to a more serious case of injuring a close friend of hers while trying to save them from a Pest.

  • Impoverished Patrician: Previously very wealthy, but she has since gave her wealth and power to God. She does not think of this a downfall, but a chance to experience the wisdom and ingenuity of people, along with valuing the previously expendable.
  • Uncool Undies: She implies to still be wearing underwear outside of her age group, implicitly due to her developed commoner lifestyle. A perfumer and knight, who's an eccentric and boastful girl, calling herself the strongest Flower Knight. Past that front, she hides another girl with a completely different side to her.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Previously a sheltered little girl who was doted on by her parents and loved to read books by herself, one family vacation led to her getting attacked by Pests, with her parents giving their life to protect her. The fact that her Memory Trigger for the event is blood naturally implies the worst out of the scenario.
  • Edible Bludgeon: Her melee weapon is a large fork with a scoop of ice cream on top.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: She (rather, her personality as "Vanilla-chan") is a boastful girl who proclaims she'll get results from independence, and thus has a history of not collaborating with other knights. Her abilities are of the self-buffing variety, which along with buffing her overall damage output, includes the other three attribute bonuses and Guts ability that make her true to her word.
  • I Work Alone: Deconstructed. She in her boasts proclaims that there's no need for any other Flower Knight because they have her, the confidence and arrogance of which had distrupted the other knights in the prior Orders she was part of, resulting in her being moved from one Order to the next.
  • Memory Trigger: The scent of blood, in addition to making her arrogant persona awaken, brings up the traumatic memories of her dead parents. It not only changes her to her "Vanilla-chan" self, it also makes her particularly bloodthirsty towards Pests.
  • Mind Control: She self-inflicted herself with a hypnotic scent that gives her a boost of confidence so she can face the Pests that traumatized her as a younger girl.
  • Split-Personality Switch Trigger: Her self-inflicted hypnosis is influenced whenever she smells a certain scent, with blood being both the catalyst and Memory Trigger, but the scent of the Commander can undo her confident personality, which leads to her confidence in being a Flower Knight to plummet.
  • Sweet Tooth: As indicated by her overall ice cream theme, Vanilla's a fan of sweets, with Cake being her preferred gift type.

  • Sweet Tooth: Her favorite gift type is cake, and her parents method of showing their care when she's away is by sending her candy treats.

  • Doomed Hometown: Her home village was attacked by the Pests in the time she attended the knightschool, with her return to the destruction and the sight of her foster parent's corpses giving her an epiphany over her view of love, spurring her to (temporarily) retire from her Flower Knight position to become a mercenary and find her ideal partner across the different countries.
  • Yandere: She's very possessive of her chosen love, the Commander, to the point of wanting to monopolize them; protecting them from the "insensitive" world. This behavior may have developed from her past shared in the Character Quest, where she realized from the death of her foster parents that her path for love is to never abandon her loved one(s), and being unable to feel or convey her love to those that tried caring for her back then, she searched the world as a mercenary to find her ideal partner to truly feel love.

    The Sealed Ancient Flower Knights

A group of talented Flower Knights originating from centuries past, who were each the most powerful of their kind, along with facing trials and tribulations that led to their future path. Taking inspiration from the sealing of Lotus Lake's Silk Tree, the Great Spirit made a contract with the individual Knights, sealing them away until the modern era where they serve the Great Spirit's trials for the Flower Knights.

  • Ambiguous Situation: A lot of the Ancient Knights' backstory are vague on some details, even with the Great Spirit and his followers elaborating on what's lost to history, leaving the past up to interpretation in universe and out.
    • Japanese Honeysuckle, due to her high magic power synonymous with her category of knights, was accused of being the catalyst for some residual magic driving her clan of assassins mad. But was that really true, or was she made The Scapegoat because of her association with the group and another source was responsible? The presence of a Pest causing this phenomena in the modern day leads credence to the latter interpretation.
    • With the Great Spirit rewriting history to attribute all achievements of Common Zinnia's Hero Zinnia persona to the long dead real deal, exactly how much did Zinnia do that's known about in history? Did Common Zinnia have a high opinion of them disproportionate to their actual ability that she actually surpassed them? The possibility of Zinnia herself living on through Common Zinnia in spirit further blurs the line with the interpretations.
    • The fate of Bamboo's younger sister. Was her execution set in stone, or did they somehow survive the ordeal and lived the rest of her life in a remote village? While Bamboo thought the former was the case with her Roaring Rampage of Revenge, she considers the latter a possibility to give her peace of mind.
    • With Corbett being Unpersoned for a magic-related episode, lots of info about their past is not even known by Deep Record, which raises a lot of questions regarding her, even with the reason as to why she was forgotten. Exactly how badly did her Power Incontinence episode went that got her so thoroughly hated that nobody wanted to remember her?
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Their signature outfits use gold accents, some more emphasized than others, to signify them as the strongest of Flower Knights throughout history.
  • In the Hood: They're all identified by the same white hoods, adding to the mystique of the time-displaced Flower Knights.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Upon awakening from their sealing, most of them largely start off as a blank slate in terms of memories — only fully remembering with some key triggers or by the influence of the Great Spirit themselves.
  • Lotus-Eater Machine: The Great Spirit subjects the souls of the group to living in a recreation of their life in the past, specifically at their happiest point, and would remain trapped in the happy dream — with the possibility of getting erased and having all their powers "pruned" into one individual. It's only with the intervention of the Lotus Lake knights arrival on the scene would the Sealed Knights be broken free.
  • Sealed Badass in a Can: The Great Spirit sealed each of them away for centuries at most until modern day to have them use their special talents/strengths for their trial.
  • Unusual Halo: Above their heads/hoods is a floating gold ring ornamented with magatama-shaped objects orbiting around it. According to Japanese Honeysuckle, it doubles as a Power Limiter.

The Assassin Flower Knight. She debuted in the Sub-Story Mission "The Frozen Silver Assassin."
  • Blood Knight: Exaggerated. She enjoys fighting a strong opponent, and otherwise cannot tolerate times of peace. So much so, that when the Pests and Flower Knights became too much small fry to her, she sealed the contract with the Great Spirit to await a true challenge centuries later.
  • Death Seeker: She wishes to face a truly life-threatening foe that could potentially end her while she gives her all.
  • Establishing Character Moment: With her memory scattered in the moment, she decides to engage in a Duel to the Death with the currently present before her Flower Knights upon realizing how much this excites her.
  • In Harm's Way: Evidently from her Death Seeker/Blood Knight tendencies, she has a hard time with the usual modern Flower Knight job of slaying unfulfilling small fry pests and shares little to no interest in the dull non-combat activities, as emphasized in her Character Quest story. The only thing she's able to derive joy from is when she witnesses suffering.
  • One-Man Army: Not only a very powerful Flower Knight, her prior achievements detailed in the Deep Record reveals that she subdued 70% of the most dangerous Pests in her own time. Her abilities even reflect this: having Status Buffs that apply strictly to herself to give her an edge in damage output, particularly against bosses.
  • Playboy Bunny: Her Easter form has her wearing a red playboy bunny costume.
  • Sadist: She rather enjoys it when her prey is not only resilient, but generally suffering from their struggle. In fact, this seems to be the only other thing that'll satisfy her aside from the thrill of possible death, as revealed in her Date scene when she humors the Commander's chessboard proposal and beats them at every turn, taking pleasure from their frustration.
  • The Scapegoat: Was subject to this 800 years ago, after her clan went berserk and nearly destroyed all of Winter Rose; the people of that time had blamed Japanese Honeysuckle for a magic surge that drove the assassins insane.
  • Whip of Dominance: She wields a whip with a sharp yet blunt metal end; it being a particularly violent and dangerous weapon to wield, all the more fitting for the openly violent, dangerous and sadistic Flower Knight.

The healer who's a Friend to All Children. She debuted in the Sub-Story Mission "Blue Paradise's Zealot."
  • Bolt of Divine Retribution: Her Skill attack: "Limit Break・Spine of the Shijie Hermit", where Adlay summons a violent lighting strike of possible divine origin onto the opponent's field.
  • Cult: She was a founding leader of a Pest-worshiping cult called "Paradise". More specifically, the cult worshiped the pest Hraesvelgr and treated the Apostles of Heavenly Thunder as its "Messengers", with the group becoming large enough to draw concerns with its seemingly inherent backwards nature towards pests.
  • Friend to All Children: She's good with getting along with children, which in-part contributed to her Cult gaining popularity. Even as she's gotten brief Laser-Guided Amnesia, she still managed to become popular with the kid population of Lily Wood for her friendly nature.
  • Human Sacrifice: In a time where Flower Knights were not commonplace, sacrificing the woman and children was a custom to ward off the Pests; Adlay was a chosen sacrifice along with multiple children, and likely would've died if not for a lighting bolt of Divine Intervention saving them and granting Adlay her healing powers.
  • My Greatest Failure: Long ago back when she learned of Hraesvelgr's existence, she tried to take some children on a trip to Bergamot Valley in an attempt to see their god. The problem lied with the trip being All for Nothing, as this "God" of hers was already sealed away by the heroes of their time, to the disappointment of those that believed in Adlay. In the epilogue, she tries to atone for her sin, if not to just simply get some self-satisfaction, by bringing some children of modern day on a similar trip to enjoy the scenery.
  • Shock and Awe: Getting struck by her "Lightning Lord's" lightning seems to have passed on their abilities to her in addition to her potent healing. From calling upon a Bolt of Divine Retribution for her skill attack, to summoning the Apostles of Heavenly Thunder.
  • White Mage: She has a potent special ability of healing everyone in her vicinity of their grave injuries, owing to the Divine Intervention of what she believes to be Hraesvelgr granting her these powers. In battle, Adlay's got one of the more potent healing abilities in the game, including heals that extend past the max HP.

The gunsmith with a Split Personality. She debuted in the Sub-Story Mission "The Hero of Brilliant Pretense."
  • The Ace: Common Zinnia's talented in gun-smithing, with Zinnia (whether the original or the Split Personality) being especially talented in firearms.
  • Color-Coded Eyes: Both Common Zinnia and Hero Zinnia are distinguished by the colors of their eyes to indicate who's in control; Common being a passive blue, Hero being an outgoing red.
  • Dead All Along: The Zinnia that is talked about in modern legends is revealed by the Petite Centy to be long dead, with the trauma of the revelation developing a Split Personality in Common Zinnia that would live up to the legend.
  • Fake Memories: Common Zinnia couldn't come to terms with the fact that her close friend actually died, so she made herself believe that Zinnia was merely separated from her at some point in their lives while developing the Split Personality of them. Upon relearning of her death, she lets Hero Zinnia take over with the belief that it was Common Zinnia who died.
  • Gathering Steam: Her strength in battle comes from the amount of times she uses her Skill attack for the encounter, adding various Status Buffs with each use.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: By default, Common Zinnia has blue eyes to reflect her less combat-oriented self.
  • Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: While the Hero Zinnia persona is suggested to just be part of Common Zinnia's psyche, the group of knights briefly wondered after the fact if its actually Zinnia's spirit possibly living on through Common Zinnia.
  • Me's a Crowd: When the group of knights get transported into Common Zinnia's mind with the help of a Petite Centy, multiples of Zinnia occupy the place, an indication of Common Zinnia trying to force Zinnia to become the host at the cost of herself, which leads to them being fought in the final act of her respective Sub-Story mission.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Downplayed. When her powerful and talented "Hero Zinnia" persona awakens, her eyes take on a shade of red, which is only threatening when she takes on an antagonistic role, as she's otherwise a hero like her title says.
  • Split Personality: Common Zinnia's "Hero Zinnia" personality, who came to be after the former's trauma created her to fill the void left behind.
  • Split-Personality Switch Trigger: She switches to her "Hero Zinnia" self through the use of her pistol, whether loaded or through a blank shot, with her reverting to her usual self when she wakes up after Zinnia goes to sleep.
  • Split-Personality Takeover: A self-inflicted case with the original personality making the constructed personality takeover. When Common Zinnia learns that her close friend was Dead All Along, she switches to her Hero Zinnia persona and tries to let herself be devoid of her original self, represented with multiple Zinnia's occupying her headspace.

The vengeful sister of the Moon Princess. She debuted in the Sub-Story Mission "The Moon Princess Wandering the Haunted Valley."
  • Animated Armor: Her Revenant Warriors summons, tall samurai armor possessed by resentful spirits.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Compared to the other Ancient Flower Knights, Bamboo is not made aware of how long she's been sent forward — she assumed it was merely a decade or two, not five centuries.
  • Heel–Face Turn: While one of the more outwardly villainous of the Ancient Knights, the revelation that her malice was being fueled by her own Revenant Warriors — along with the fact that the one thing she was fighting for and against has since been lost to the sands of time with her sealing, making her desire for revenge feel fruitless — she has since let go of her desire to overtake the capital and kill its queen, allying herself with the Flower Knights like the rest of the Sealed Knight group.
  • Kimono Is Traditional: Out of all the Sealed Knights, her variant of the outfit is more clearly a kimono-like dress, reflecting her respective nation.
  • Magic Mirror: She was the original inventor of the far-seeing magic mirror — famously used by Japanese Anemone — for the purpose of communicating with her younger sister through long distance.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: Her young sister was subject to this by someone who was greedy for the Magic Mirror, having them hung for a false crime and leading Bamboo on a dark path.
  • Power Incontinence: Bamboo's emotional turmoil when facing the a moral dilemma of killing Japanese Anemone jostled her enough to lose control of her own Revenant Warriors, who are revealed to be manipulating her negative emotions from the start.
  • Power Nullifier: Her revenants have the capability of negating a Flower Knight's World Flower blessing, making them effectively useless against the hulking suits of armor. She almost won the war with this advantage, had the Great Spirit not intervene and sent her on a five-hundred year hiatus.

The Ace previously known as a Monster. She debuted in the Sub-Story Mission "The Monster of the Burning Hill Garden."
  • The Ace: Incredible proficiency with each weaponry, even having knowledge that extends to fields such as martial arts. As Rose puts it, Corbett is "the textbook of textbooks."
  • Critical Hit Class: Her Unhealable Blood Axe of Wrath gives her an increase in both her Critical Hit rate-of activation and extra damage from said critical hits.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Her hidden specialty beyond being The Ace: because of her Power Incontinence episode, she's capable of channeling powerful magic attacks that risks damaging her entire being, yet capable of wiping out an Ancient Pest — something typically done with the Whale Airship in the modern era.
  • Multi-Melee Master: She's very proficient with various weapons, with her using three different weapon types in battle (sword, axe, and spear) as part of her Stance System gimmick.
  • Odd Name Out: Corbett is not a flower name, but a name of a breeder, speculated to be possibly a pseudonym. Her real name is only ever presented in shortened form, with the full form of it being censored out when spoken in flashbacks/memories.
  • Power Incontinence: One bad magic explosion ends up not only weakening her constitution, but also the limiter typical in most magic beings. The result is a magical power boost that's all around dangerous to herself and everyone around her.
  • Stance System: Corbet has three weapon states to be in, the latter two being activated by how many enemies are left on the field once her Skill attack activates three times. These states are:
    • Golden Sword Corbett; the default weapon, with no distinct buffs or extra attributes; just Slice.
    • Unhealable Blood Axe of Wrath; the Blunt attribute, damage increasing state which activates with only one foe on the field.
    • Thorn Eating Spear of Annoyance; the Pierce attribute, enemy debuffing state which activates with two or more opponents on the field.
  • Unperson: Contrast to all other Sealed Knights, there were no Deep Records of Corbett when attempting to research her past. This distinct lack of records came about due to her total obliteration against an Ancient Pest that caused such fear and resentment of her power from the people of her time that everybody, including her mother, don't want to acknowledge or remember her as anything other than a monster.

  • Alternate Self: They all live out dramatically different lives from their Flower Knight counterparts.
  • Badass Normal: Zig-zagged due to Gameplay and Story Segregation. They're ordinary students with less emphasis on any fantastical powers in the context of the High School AU, yet they're just as capable as their originals in wiping out Pests with either actual magical powers, or mundane high-school themed attacks.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: All over the place in regards to them as "knights", their involvement in Spring Garden, and the fighting of Pests. To illustrate: they all originate from another universe that's more slice of life than action.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: Naturally prevalent with the girl's Affection getting raised, each having a growing interest towards Sensei.

  • Plagued by Nightmares: She had experienced many dreams of somebody who did "horrible things" to her mom and dad... and according to her, that person looks like Sensei. That horrible thing was, like with Spring Star prime, murder, with the girl being traumatized and trying to overcome said trauma by learning as much as she can about Sensei, typically by learning of their schedule and stalking them.
  • Signature Instrument: Of the instruments in the music club, she plays the brass trumpet, as shown in her Evolution.
  • Stalker with a Crush: She's been observing Sensei from the background, even going as far as to check through their schedule to get as much of this as possible.
  • That Came Out Wrong: She's really not good with choosing her words on the subject of Sensei, especially among crowds. In particular, her response to Pinkladies's accusation of being a love rival definitely doesn't help her case.
Spring Star: Eh!? I-I don't have any plans like that... I can't help but to worry about a teacher who did that...!

  • Sleepyhead: Like her original self, she a heavy habitual sleeper, with her spending much of her time at school sleeping anywhere.

  • That Came Out Wrong: Her high affection line has her ask Sensei to sleep with her, with her claim of being able to feel very comfortable together making Sensei blush — her confused reaction to which making it clear she doesn't mean anything intimate.
  • Wardrobe Flaw of Characterization: Whereas most students are well-kempt in how they wear their school uniforms, Hinoki has her bow ribbon undone and her undershirt unbuttoned slightly to show a little skin, reflecting the fact that the girl is a narcolept who's slothful at maintaining her appearance.

    World Flower Spirits
The World Flowers personified as puffballs spirits, with them taking on a human form through their connection to their inhabitants.

Group Wide Tropes

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: They are Spring Garden's World Flowers that have gained a conscious form since a thousand years ago, in the time of the first Pest attacks and the rising of the Hero and the first Flower Knight.
  • Bunnies for Cuteness: Their original puffball forms give them the appearance of stubby-limbed rabbits with long ears, with many regarding these forms as adorable, especially the children who mistake them for actual bunnies, as Win found out in her Side Story.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: As an indication of their World Flower nature, each of them feature different insignia as their pupils:
    • Bloss; Blossom flowers.
    • Win; Snowflakes.
    • Belle; Lily flowers.
    • Sun; Sun.
  • Humanity Ensues: While their initial form is a small little puffball, their interactions with the Flower Knight group has gifted them a humanoid form to better interact with them and help with their Outside World goal.
  • Humanity Is Infectious: As puffballs, their growth towards gaining a human forms seems tied to developing a closer, more personal attachment to their inhabitants, along with learning elements of humanity. Best showcased with the respective Side Stories, with Win learning the meaning of "loving" her inhabitants, and Belle learning to not shy away from sombering moments in favor of pure fun.
  • Pointy Ears: They have pointy elf-like ears.
  • Really 700 Years Old: While the World Flowers themselves have been around since Spring Garden's formation, their conscious physical forms (as puffballs) have existed for a thousand years.
  • Seasonal Baggage: Like with their World Flower forms, several of them represent the four seasons:
    • Bloss is a literal Cherry Blossom Girl of springtime.
    • Win is winter incarnate with her harsh front and ice powers.
    • Belle features the colors of Autumn with her orangish-yellow of her kimono and hair (which also features some green at the very end, as if it grew out gradually; changing from that to orange).
    • Sun with her sun and fire power, along with a swimsuit ensemble meant for a swim in a hot climate, represents the scorching hot summer.
  • Set Bonus: Their Power Seed abilities require them to be setup with multiple Flower Knights associated with the respective World Flowers; more knights buffing and/or adding abilities to them.
  • Supernatural Sensitivity: They all can see the "power" of living beings — more specifically, they can sense the World Flowers blessings within the inhabitants of Spring Garden, from Flower Knights to Pest. Though, because of how this works, those who lack said blessing (ie, beings outside of Spring Garden) are only able to be percieved/sensed by the World Flower spirits as much as the average human. Japanese Honeysuckle challenging Bloss and Win to two impromptu hide-and-seek challenges (one with no caveat, another with her Power Seed restrained by her halo) demonstrates this weakness.

  • Token Mini-Moe: The smallest and youngest-looking of the personified World Flowers.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: She initially didn't quite grasp The Power of Love being a factor in the World Flowers gaining a human form, wondering why Bloss beat her to the punch in this regard. It takes Novalis to spell it out to her that her intentions of protecting the residence of Winter Rose — even if she initially opposes the general plan of trekking into the outside world — is born of love, with her subsequently becoming human upon realizing it.

  • In Place of an Eye: In place of her right eye is a lily flower sprouting, and although she's the only of the group to have this, it definitely represent her nature as a personified World Flower.
  • Kimono Fanservice: Befitting her representing the country known for its kimono-clad girls, she dresses in a loose-fitting kimono that hangs low from her and shows off as much of her right leg as possible, along with hinting at the lack of underwear on her person.

  • The Power of the Sun: Perhaps to be expected from a representation of the sunny Banana Ocean who's named "Sun", she has a variety of abilities pertaining to the Solar Drive, along with said abilities far exceeding any other Solar Drive dedicated knight. She alone can have all knights of the team add 50% to the Light Gauge with the activation of a skill attack, increase the Shine Crystal drop-rate of knights by 75%, and most of all can increase the effect of the Solar Drive by a massive 5000%. And that's all without mentioning the Set Bonuses she can get to further increase the Solar Drive and spawn Altar Panels on the field.
  • Stripperific: Her V-swimsuit ensemble is at best described as slightly modest, and that's being generous with the amount of skin that's still shown with her Sideboob and elsewhere not covered up. Her Evolution is even worse in this regards, with her being covered up by loose fabric straps that makes the prior form seems incredibly modest.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Out of all the World Flower spirits, Sun seems capable of changing their appearance into that of several different Nature Spirits, including a farmer spirit, a Bloom Bird, an Attack Ampule, and an Awakening Dragon, all of which are featured in her Evolution. She spent of some of her time as a puffball trying to pass off half of her forms as her obtaining a human, including the one that's obviously a bird.

  • Breaking Old Trends:
    • Not counting the Collaboration Knights, she's the first unit who's not based on — nor have any thematic connections — to a flower, and thus has her Family and Language of Flowers listed as "Resident Outside Spring Garden" and None respectively. Instead, she's based on an Egyptian God.
    • Her nation is listed as "Another Land". Even prior Collaboration Knights have their Nation listed as one of the six in Spring Garden despite oftentimes coming from another world.
  • Contortionist: Implied yet downplayed. Because of both her lifestyle in the harsh Carenthus desert and her dancer profession, Khepri is incredibly nimble when she needs to be, as indicated by two of her feats of grabbing flung dishes and scattered paper — the latter involving her hands and feet.
  • Fish out of Water: She's a resident of the Carenthus desert who found herself accidentally teleported into Spring Garden during a scuffle in the Outer Gardens, with her taking in everything the region offered that her homeland didn't, and learning of the circumstances (the populace's general fear of insects, this "paradise" actually not being so due to said insects, and the caring nature of those around her) that fly in the face of what she was told about the "Devil Flowers".
  • Loyal Animal Companion: She is flanked by two scarabs, Lapis and Gold, who closely accompanies her in daily life and battle. The loyalty part is played with, as they're not above messing with the girl, as indicated by one of Khepri's animations, where she's struggling to retrieve the snatched headdress held out of reach by them.
  • Mythical Motifs: She's based on the scarab-faced god of ancient Egyptian religion, Khepri, who was depicted as such due to the insect (specifically dung beetles) being associated with creating life from nothing, with Khepri himself being the god who created the sun. The young girl Khepri, in reference to her inspiration's Animal Motif, is accompanied by her scarab companions Lapis and Gold, who she commands in battle — she's even been referred to as the child of the "Polar Sun", indicating her connection to the sun in-universe.
  • Pest Controller: She alongside her related kin can communicate with and command the insects called "heralds" to help aid them with their survival and battling of foes. This naturally doesn't extend to the infected Pests — or "demon possessed" as they refer to them as.

  • Hates Being Alone: Underneath their calm demeanor, she's a deity-turned-woman who's developed an aversion to loneliness — her Trauma Button being a clear indication how badly they take the extreme isolation.
  • Humanity Ensues: Nidhoggr, the massive dragon centipede deity, condensed into a smaller (but still rather tall) human form upon being freed from Aglessa's Grudge. Played With, as this incarnation is actually just a part of Nighoggr rather than the whole deity, but she still experienced their thousand years of imprisonment and infection.
  • Humanity Is Infectious: Upon taking this form, she ends up having complex feelings that conflict with her role as the guardian that keeps Spring Garden isolated from the Outside World, sparing lives of the outsiders and longing to not be isolated like before.
  • Trauma Button: Being trapped frozen and unable to move, as this reminds her of the isolation she experienced underneath Winter Rose's frozen lake. Win freezing Nighogg to challenge their stubbornness in sticking to their guardian role ends up triggering this trauma, resulting in them having an uncharacteristic Freak Out.
  • Whip Sword: Their main weapon is the Inferno and Twilight Snake Sword, a segmented blade that she slings forward like a whip.

The Wandering Clown who shares the flower known as smiles across the lands. She inexplicably joins the Flower Knight group upon aiding a separated Knight Commander.
  • Ambiguously Human: She somehow removes her own face with the mask, which makes one wonder what's up with this chick. Even further with her relation to Algessa, as she explicitly calling herself not human, though how not human she is isn't elaborated on.
  • The Blank: Riko's act of putting on and removing her mask like she's playing "peekaboo" to calm down the baby spirit Nae somehow results in her removing her face with the mask.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: She fights against the Flower Knights once her role as The Mole has been revealed and fully elaborated on at the end of Chapter 4. However, if one manages to get her through a limited-time gacha and have her set on the team — even before her true nature was revealed — Riko may fight against Riko alongside the Flower Knights. Plus, despite Riko making her leave and hinting that she'll be back at a later date, her unit will stay with your group of recruited knights.
  • Famous Ancestor: Rather, infamous ancestor; she's descended from Algessa, the one responsible for wanting Spring Garden destroyed, and she shares that goal across the generations.
  • For Happiness: To quote her, she "shares the flower known as smiles across the land", and is a good natured girl who aspires to bring happiness. Takes a darker turn when she ask the Flower Knights to kill her so they can be rid of "Aglessa" and bring their own happiness once their main source of conflict is gone for good.
  • Love at First Sight: According to her Side Story, she claims to have fallen for the Commander upon first seeing them, which is her reason to why she inexplicably joined with the group: she wanted to get to know the Commander in a discret and indirect manner, and wished to keep the crush a secret. Though, how much of this is still true with the reveal of her true nature is up for debate.
  • Mysterious Stranger: She's introduced inexplicably joining up with the group for reasons beyond their understanding. While she states her motives for wandering the desert alone, the fact she inexplicably joins with the group on short notice garners suspicion from key members (namely Bamboo). Not helping matters is how dodgy she is on the specifics. It's only once the remenants of Dyne's personality manifests in Sigillaria to confront them does everything about her get revealed.
  • Non-Ironic Clown: She's a good-natured clown who wishes to bring smiles wherever she goes. She even takes the time to calm a crying Naae with a few party tricks (though one mishap made them cry even harder instead). The fact that she's descended from Aglessa zig-zags this, revealing herself as someone following in their footsteps of both Aglessa and Haqq who's The Mole for the Flower Knight group, but she remains polite and encourages the knights to kill her to fulfill their own goals of ridding the source of their problems — yet, she herself also feels conflicted with seeing the girls not wanting to kill her.
  • Odd Name Out: Outside of Collab units, she the first recruitable knight who doesn't share any sort of theme naming of prior knights; obviously no Floral Theme Naming (or other equivalents) since she's no Flower Knight, but she's also not themed like with Khepri and Serket.
  • Walking Spoiler: The fact that she's The Mole, recruitable in gameplay at that, who secretly opposes the Flower Knight group.
  • Weapon-Based Characterization: Wields a massive piko-piko hammer, a wacky-looking weapon for a clown.

  • Critical Hit Class: Possibly the most egregious example in the game; she has the standard crit rate up of 30% on all allies (with an effective guaranteed crit on turn one for those who share the same Family as her, eg, Khepri), but she herself gets an incredibly high 200% at base if she's Evolved. And that crit damage goes even further if the conditional abilities of her Awakened form are met: 200% for a turn duration if an opposing hit on her or an ally is Negated, plus 150% if an ally uses a Summon ability (totalling 550% at most).
  • Mythical Motifs: Serket's based on another Egyptian goddess of the same name like Khepri, her inspiration being the goddess with the Animal Motif of scorpions, hence her Herald being a giant scorpion.
  • Pest Controller: Like Khepri before her, she has her own Herald — a giant scorpion which fights for her in combat.
  • Scary Scorpions: Serket's Herald, Befen, is a giant scorpion made of rock and gems, and it's evidently tough and dangerous with how it's what primarily does damage. Though, while Serket's first appearance is that of a threat, she's an otherwise caring individual who later allies with the Flower Knights, with her Herald only being dangerous to those she views as a threat.
  • Smash Sisters: With their sibling Khepri, forming a duo of Pest Controllers who fight against the harsh conditions of the desert and the Atrocious Arthropods which inhabit it. This is also encourage in gameplay: several of Serket's abilities require an ally who's of the same Family — ie, "Resident Outside Spring Garden" — to provide status buffs, plus providing a massive crit damage buff to those who use a Summon ability, both traits of which Khepri shares.

She even thinks she's best suited for slacking off because somebody else might do so instead.
Colchicum: It is a loss for this Order if a Flower Knight that's more capable than me slacks off. That's why it's best for this Order if I'm the one slacking off.

    Whale Airship

Whale Airship

Long ago, a mad scientist known as Kenzan tasked himself with creating a war machine to counter the threats known as the Ancient Pests, with the rest of his life being spent dedicated to his research. Years after passing on, his blueprints on the war machine would be found by Nazuna, with her engineering and hunt for resources ultimately resulting in the creation of the Whale Airship.

The Whaleship functions as its own unit in its respective mission, with its stats and attributes being determined by the amount of Flower Knights which inhabit it, their overall strength, and a certain number of one attribute outnumbering the others.

  • Animal Motifs: It is obviously based on a whale in its design, but it also features another aquatic mammal in its aptly named Pierce-type skill, Dolphin Attack.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Having a higher affinity towards a certain attribute has the ship take on the paint-job representing the respective attribute: Slash being red, Blunt being blue, Pierce being yellow, and Magic being purple.
  • Combined Energy Attack: The Whaleship is a variant; the ship's stat total is derived from the Flower Knights that inhabit it. Furthermore, a superior amount of Knights with one attribute will change the ship into that attribute.
  • Cool Airship: A giant airship in the shape of a whale that's capable of taking on the Ancient Pests with its variety of magical ballistics.
  • Death from Above: Its Slash-type Skill "Grand Slash" has it rise up high into the air, only to sharply descend with a magic blade sticking out of it like a shark fin to strike the foe below.
  • Impossibly Graceful Giant: It's a massive airship which, while looking slow and seemingly moving relatively so, can perform feats such as charging at the foe with an incredible burst of speed at a moments notice.
  • Limit Break: Maxing out the Faint gauge of the Boss Pest results in the Whaleship activating its Whale Cannon Burst skill, which is charged by five Flower Knights attacking the power crystal within the ship with their guaranteed skill attack, amplifying the total damage dealt to the boss.
  • Spontaneous Weapon Creation: For its non-skill basic attack, it creates ethereal cannons at its sides that shoots blasts of magic at the opponent.
  • Those Magnificent Flying Machines: With its massive size, the Whaleship gives gravity the middle finger with its improbably small propellers supporting such weight.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: The ship apparently runs on dumplings, with it possibly having an outright preference for it instead of what's considered standard fuel. Doubles as a Continuity Nod to one of Kenzan's prior inventions, the Bamboo Shoot Rocket, also being fueled by dumplings.
Tampala: Well, compared to coal, the dumplings are far more tasty.
Common Zinnia: I-Is that the problem here...?
Tampala: It's a Whale Ship invented by Kenzan. It would be no surprise if it had that quirk.
  • Twinkle in the Eye: Upon unleashing its Whale Cannon Burst skill, its eye gives off a twinkling light just before attacking.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: A common form of offense, particularly with its "Cannon" skills, firing a large beam from out of its "mouth". The Whale Cannon attack in particular (a replacement of the standard battle Solar Drive) fires multiple small beams of various colors that effectively form one large beam together.

Maher, from the Hanahime world, somehow gets warped into Spring Garden, with a subsequent case of amnesia and the gaining of the power of darkness. Despite this, she appears unchanged in terms of spirit, being a valuable ally like any other Flower Knight.
  • Adaptational Modesty: The Mobile ports drastically change Nightmaher from her Stripperific ensemble to give her a skirt and top that, at most, only show a modicum of skin; being this trope from here to her home game.
  • Ambiguous Situation: The circumstances behind how she got to Spring Garden in both her current form and memory is never directly elaborated on, with the order of events being a minor detail.
  • Canon Foreigner: While Maher is one of the main characters of Hanahime, Nightmaher is otherwise separate from the former's origin.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite undergoing a drastic change in appearance upon obtaining the power of darkness, she still seems like the cheery girl from before, who in this universe is dedicated to getting stronger for the sake of exterminating Pests like every other Flower Knight.
  • The Dreaded: She seems to have a reputation problem with the other Flower Knights, owing to the fact that her name is literally "nightmare".
Nightmaher: Recently, I feel like the other Flower Knights are avoiding me. I wonder if I should put away my weapon before calling out to them.
  • Mythology Gag: The way her Cataclysm Sword Dive is animated — using her normal attack first, then immediately following up with the special attack — references how skill attacks work in Hanahime: chaining off of a normal attack upon hitting an enemy.
  • Paint It Black: Her standard Battle Style look in canon gets altered into this: all the pink in her ensemble, including her hair, are turned into different shades of purple; her crown is replaced with some separate headpieces that together resemble a spiky crown; and she's sporting bat wings.
  • Punny Name: "Nightmaher" is an obvious pun on nightmare, just mixed with her original name, Maher.
  • Stripperific: Obviously not counting the Adaptational Modesty, she sports a different take on her Battle Style ensemble from her home game with small bikini and a very thin thong — the latter contrasting her canon short skirt that's comparatively more modest.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: She loves her Cola sodanote , so much so that in one of her Garden animations, she's drinking out of a large container that's just short of her torso in height.

Girl's Symphony

A group of Flower Knights born from previously inanimate music instruments.

An early crossover period had gifted Anri as an independent Knight gifted to level 30 players (later made re-available via the Clearing House), with the full Special Event collaboration introducing Valnbone, Eir, Luluna and Mattia.

    Symphony Girls
  • Gathering Steam: Each Knight has the Golden Symphony ability, which triggers Knight's respective Status Buff on the fifth turn — and only that turn — of the battle.
  • Humanity Ensues: They were previously inanimate instruments that somehow became Flower Knights in the world of Spring Garden.
  • Moe Anthropomorphism: Not just flowers, but of instruments, per their game of origin.
  • Musical Assassin: Their weapons are all instruments, with them all having the magical power to inflict hurt on their enemies by simply playing a short melody. Overlaps with Instrument of Murder, considering some of them can weaponize them as ranged weapons.

  • Begin with a Finisher: Her high amount of DPS from her Status Buffs on just her and her alone leans into this trope, due to her highest damage buff requiring the foe to be at maximum health (the buff getting lower past below 80/60/40%), along with having her skill attack (which can hit all enemies; being stronger the fewer there are) being guaranteed for the first three turns. • Wave-Motion Gun: Most of the team, with the exception of Reese, features in their skill attack a large beam fired from their respective weapons.
