  • White Cosmos is the King of Oscillatory Universe, the secret leader of the Acceleration Research Society and the older sister of Black Lotus. Aware that all previous Virtual Worlds were destroyed, Cosmos became determined to finish Brain Burst by all possible means, like leading the brutal murder of Saphron Blosson and lying to her pupils or manipulating her own sister to murder the Red King when he was trying to create a lasting peace, causing Lotus' exile in both real and virtual worlds. Years later, Cosmos summons the virtual ghosts of fallen Burst Linkers, leads experiments on living players and uses the Luminary to control powerful virtual beings to deal with the unbeatable Tezcatlipoca. When Tezcatlipoca is born, Cosmos immediately seizes control of him, thanks her enemies for their unwilling help for her plans and kidnaps Lotus' boyfriend while using the threat of Tezcatlipoca to blackmail him to be her spy.

This would be fine?

  • The 2011 animated film The Lion of Judah is set during the final days of Jesus' life on earth. It's mainly focused on a baby lamb named "Judah", who's mission is to "Set people free" by rescuing animals (such as lamb, and doves) from getting killed. The main characters are six domesticated animals (a cow, rooster, pig, horse, donkey, and mouse respectively) who has to rescue Judah from getting scarified. After Jesus' dies on the cross, the temple where Judah is close to getting killed suddenly cracks during an earthquake and sets him free. Judah is overjoyed and yells "Thank You" and "He set me free!" to Jesus (referred as "The King" by the animals) unaware that he was crucified. While the six animals are doubtful on Jesus' return, Judah is determined to finally see Jesus despite dying on the cross. The animals attempt to lure him away from Jesus' tomb, but is determined to see him and decides to wait two days. On the day Jesus is resurrected, Judah the lamb finally meets Jesus and says "Thank You" and later meets the other main characters before leaving earth. Judah is last seen running back to the stable and reunites with his mother.
Judah: I saw what his love did to Jack. It's like you said, one look in his eyes and he'll steal you're heart. I didn't get to look in his eyes (gaps) but I felt it. It was his love that tore that curtain, his love that cracked that temple, his love for me, for all of us. And I don't care what you say, that still is not going to hold that love in.

Le Chat

  • Bait-and-Switch: A common kind of humor in the three panels strips is to have the third panel subvert the joke the first twos where seting up.
  • Brutal Honesty: One page is about The Cat and his wife eating with a family of fans who won a "dinner with The Cat" contest, during all the stay, The Cat and his wife bluntly tell the family how they hate being here, how ugly the house is, how disgusting the food is and how they wish to never see them again (it's the second time the family won the contest), though the family don't seem to mind the insults.
  • Creator Cameo: Philippe Geluck often appears in the comics.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": The main character is a cat named The Cat.
  • The Faceless: We never see the face of Roger, the reccuring barkeep, the only exceptions is in some strips that use encyclopedias images, but his looks is inconsistant because it always use differents images.
  • Feels No Pain: In the comic where The Cat is a butcher who mutilates his own body to sell meat, he don't react at cutting his limbs and continue having a friendly conversation with an offscreen customer.
  • Furry Reminder: While The Cat acts like an human, he sometime eat mices, even if they themselves have human like sentience.
  • Insult to Rocks: According to The Cat, the expression "The Man is a wolf to the Man" is mean to wolfs and should be changed to "The Man is a Man to the Man", but that he said that it would be too harsh for the Man.
  • Look-Alike Lovers: When The Cat's wife appears in early comics, she tends to be drawn as a female clone of himself. She as a more distinct appearence in later comics.
  • Losing Your Head: One strip is about The Cat's nephews casually removing The Cat's head from his body during his sleep and playing football with it. In the end, they put the head back on The Cat's body and he doesn't seem to have noticed anything weird after he wakes up.
  • Medium Awareness: The Cat and sometime other characters are clearly aware that they are comic book characters.
  • Protagonist Title: The Cat's name appears in the titles of every comics.
  • Shout-Out: Characters and references from other comic books tends to often appear, especially from francophone comics.
  • Smart Animal, Inconvenient Instincts: By default, The Cat acts in a very human manner, but there's a strip where he interupts himself to chase after a mouse and apologize for his instinct to the viewers after catching it.
  • Spell My Name with a "The": The Cat's first name is literally "The".
  • The Yellow M Shout Out: The cover title of La Marque du Chat ( Meaning The Cat's mark, taken from "The Yellow Mark", the French title of The Yellow M) is a parody of The Yellow M's cover

Sorry Arivne. I do go over my post to check for errors, but since preview mode doesn't let me open character folders, sometimes I forget to check them after posting.

The historical past tense/present tense mistake for Murdoch mysteries was done because the two inventors fight took place before the events of the episode, but I'll make the change to avoid confusion.

Fred's quote about the Bad Omens (goes instead of go) was incorrect grammar, but it was also what he said in the movie itself (I initially had go myself but rewatched the scene on youtube to make sure I didn't have any mistakes, which also helped me delete an additional word I falsely remembered being in the sentence).

  • In the Christopher Anvil novella The Day the Machines Stopped, Carl Jackson is introduced cruelly taunting his romantic rival Brian over Carl's higher salary. Carl quickly admits this was a low blow, though, and displays a lot of bravery after the fall of society. Then he knocks Brian unconscious and leaves him behind as their group heads for Montana, while spreading lies that Brian abandoned him when a mob attacked them. After a warlord takes their friends prisoner, it seems like Carl will redeem himself by helping Brian rescue them, only for him to knock Brian unconscious, abandon him again, and steal the credit for the rescue.
@ Down in the Dark a new page I'd like to make.

A science-fiction story by William Baxter, Down in the Dark was published in The Year's Best Science Fiction: Sixteenth Annual Collection. It follows astronauts on Titan (the largest moon of Saturn) struggling to survive after Earth is destroyed by a failed attempt to destroy a dangerous asteroid.

Tropes:

  • But What About the Astronauts?: After Earth is destroyed, humanity is reduced to about 2,000 people in a dozen or so space stations and early-stage colonies desperately struggling to keep their supplies from running out. Between them, they only have a single spaceship, the Oberth, to distribute supplies between the colonies.
  • Colonized Solar System: The story takes place in 2057, with human bases on the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter and Saturn's moons.
  • Disaster Scavengers: The narrator is assigned to recover a lunar lander, to be used to retrieve supplies from the remains of Earth.
  • Driven to Suicide: Many survivors kill themselves due to grief (like the narrator's friend Jimmy) or because the Oberth can't get them vital supplies in time (like everyone on Mercury).
  • The Elites Jump Ship: Rodrigo Durrell and Ms. Rhinehart, the two cabinet secretaries in charge of space exploration, managed to go to the Moon with their families on an "inspection tour" right before the dangerous asteroid intercept that ended up destroying Earth. The narrator views the two with slight contempt and notes that Rhinehart's daughter is the only five-year-old human left in the universe.
  • Humans Need Aliens: The appearance of a race of Starfish Aliens at the end saves the human astronauts from dying out.
  • The Lost Lenore: The narrator pines over his wife Lisa, who died on Earth.
@ Pitch Perfect @ Cherry Falls
  • Awful Wedded Life: Sandy says that after 25 years of marriage, all her parents do together anymore is watch TV.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Stacy is nailed to a tree while she's still alive.
  • Fat and Skinny: Dino (fat) and Wally (played by the very skinny DJ Qualls) sit together in class and the cafeteria and approach girls together at the pre-orgy dance.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Jody sleeps with a toy rabbit.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: After Sandy doubts boys are as clueless at sex as Cindy claims, the scene cuts to Ben and his friends in their van, debating how many holes a vagina has.
  • Shipper on Deck: Jody drags Sandy over and sits her down next to her crush Mark upon seeing she's too shy to do so herself.
@ Total Drama @ Hoosiers
  • Graceful Loser: The South Bend coach consoles a dejected player, then pleasantly shakes hands with Dale after losing.

  • Tropical Citron: The Rabbit is a demon that manipulates the Witch Matriarch of March Town into selling her soul to him. Using his newfound control over the witches, the Rabbit constantly abuses physical and sexually of the matriarch and her daughter Mako and uses their influence to convince the entire town into selling their souls to him. Having become the local tyrant known as James Ishi, the Rabbit turns March Town into a decadent poor town where the population—and eventually the refugees—are practically enslaved and worked to death after becoming addicts to Rabbit Juice, a drug that creates troubles even outside the town. A demon that mocks the human free will, The Rabbit is defined for his love of slavery and opression.

^ Because Grammarly is a computer program and it requires human judgment to decide where a comma goes. I would have no idea of how to program a computer to read text and decide where the commas (if any) go. I think it would require an Artificial Intelligence as smart as a human to do so.

@When Worlds Collide The first trope is for the first book, the others are for the second book.

  • Saintly Church: As society crumbles, Tony is aided in burying his mother by a kindly pair of clergymen (and the older man's wife), all of whom politely decline his offer to get them seats on the rocket.
  • Becoming the Mask: Tony's valet Kyto is a former Japanese spy who came to sympathize with his new culture and resigned from his espionage job.
  • Informed Flaw: Stowaway Marian Jackson is described as an empty-headed moron by multiple characters, but her actions and dialogue make her seem like a woman of slightly above average intelligence.
  • Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Dr. Dodson turns up alive, having been nursed back to health (minus an arm) after being wounded in the riots and Left for Dead in the first book.
  • Uncertain Doom: In addition to the four rockets confirmed to have made it to Bronson Beta and the doomed French rocket, the first book mentions that China, South Africa, Australia, Argentina, and Italy are all working on evacuation rockets. Dr. Hendron estimates that a total of five rockets would probably survive, but none of the others appear on Bronson Beta. While the heroes speculate they were all destroyed, some of them might have made it and simply landed too far away to be immediately detected.
