Lelouch and Allies

The various forces surrounding Lelouch vi Britannia, Eleventh Prince of Britannia and Seventeenth in Line for the throne.
    In General
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Most of Lelouch's allies tend to be extremely loyal to him for this reason - he took them in when no one else would and accepted them based on both who they are and what they do, class and background be damned.
  • Boring, but Practical: Despite having Psychic Powers at their disposal, they don't have any Ace Custom knightmares with wacky weapons in their forces. Instead, they make use of ships and planes alongside mass production knightmares. It works well enough.
  • Crazy Is Cool: Their ranks include a prince who broke the sound barrier and blew up his jet while doing so, a clan of psychic Ninjas, and a Mad Scientist who obsesses over psychic powers (and yes, those exist here). You could arguably say that they are a Crazy Is Cool faction.
  • The Exile: Lelouch seems to have a preference for these.
    • Sayoko and her entire clan were exiled from Japan due to clashing with the modern image of the nation and also because their Feuding Families situation with the Sumeragi family got out of hand.
    • Kenshin Jaeger is functionally exiled from the E.U. due to breaking out of a mental health facility.
  • Island Base: New Caledonia - which also doubles as an Elaborate Underground Base. OOC, it's compared to Outer Heaven.
  • Multinational Team: With members from Japan, Germany, Italy, and the Britannian Homeland (a mix of the United States Geographically and Great Britain ethnically and politically), they certainly fit the bill.
  • Rag Tag Bunch Of Misfits: A force consisting of a Mad Scientist, an Italian General Ripper, an entire Ninja clan, a Half-Japanese Knight, and the problem child of a high member of the nobility are an odd entourage for a prince, and yet they work surprisingly well.
    • Kallen's squad is also an example. See their folder for more information.

    Lelouch vi Britannia

Prince Lelouch vi Britannia, Eleventh Prince of Britannia, Earl of New Caledonia. Codenamed Rigel

The Protagonist of the story.
  • Adaptational Badass: Has put significantly more time in learning to pilot a Knightmare than in canon. He still has a ways to go, though.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: In this case, with regards to relating to others. Lelouch canonically doesn't figure out how any of his love interests feel about him until they more or less spell it out to him. Here, he manages to deduce that Jeanne has a crush on him before she's able to admit as much herself.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Lelouch is a bit less manipulative here and is incredibly kind to all of his allies - whom he is also shown to be more trusting of. This likely stems from not having his canonical abandonment issues due to losing his mom and being exiled.
  • Benevolent Boss: Lelouch is extremely generous toward his followers, up to helping Kallen sort out her family issues even though doing so was totally unnecesary. This is part of the reason both Kallen and Jeanne fall for him.
  • Born Lucky: Leloch tends to luck out a lot in story. Out of character, the author has actually complained about just how many critical rolls he gets in Lelouch's favor. Among other examples, his negotiations with Japan result in him gaining the loyalty of every Ninja still in existence and getting paid in the process.
  • Brutal Honesty: When looking over Kallen's requested pilots, he tells her that while he is certain the various allegations made toward Sokkia are false, if he receives any new ones that he believes are true, he will literally have the girl Reassigned to Antarctica.
  • The Chessmaster: It's Lelouch, this is to be expected. His handling of Kallen's family situation is just one example.
  • Crazy Enough to Work: Many of the stunts Lelouch pulls in the story are downright absurd, but they are undeniably effective.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Lelouch's canon better parts are still present in this story - when looking at his neighbors on the Loyalty Islands, he admits that Dr. Dolores Murphy's running of her island is efficient, but he's still unnerved by her total erasure of the natives' culture.
  • Irony: In character creation, Lelouch was noted as a character who would have high Learning/Intrigue, but low Diplomacy/Piety. The events of the quest see Lelouch getting some flat out incredible rolls in both those categories despite his apparent lack of skill in them.
  • Jack of All Trades: Comapred to the rest of his siblings, Lelouch is this - Schneizel is the most talented politically, Odysseus attracts the most aid, Guinevere is the most business savvy, Cornelia and Nunnally are better pilots, Euphie is a better diplomat, Clovis is an infinitely better artist, and Carine is implied to be better at spycraft, but Lelouch tends to do well in all of those fields except for diplomacy, where he is merely average. Additionally, Lelouch has a habit of obtaining the loyalty of others who excel in certain fields, which helps compensate for his lack of mastery.
  • Loophole Abuse: Lelouch ends up knighting fifty people at one point, all of whom are of common blood, despite this being totally unprecedented. He justifies this by noting that a. nobles have sold titles of nobility to others before (especially those who pay through the nose), and b. anyone who disapproves already opposes him by virtue of Lelouch being the son of a commoner who rose to the Britannian Imperial Family.
  • Official Couple: With Kallen. And then with Jeanne.
  • Opportunistic Bastard: Lelouch is generally The Chessmaster, but if he sees an opportunity to advance his interests without any real downsides (or downsides he can live with), he will take it. One such example results in him acquiring the personal loyalty of every Shinobi in existence and making a profit off of it.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Is still one.
  • Polyamory: As of Year Nine, Lelouch has entered a relationship with Kallen and Jeanne. He's also in a relationship with Sayoko, who is currently carrying his child.
  • Psychic Powers: These exist and Lelouch has gained some. He has a lot of work to do before he'll really be able to exploit them for all they are worth.
  • Remember When You Blew Up a Sun?: Lelouch ends up breaking the sound barrier during Year 3 of the RP, earning him the nickname of The Fastest Man Alive. His mom jokingly notes that he should probably leave that nickname outside of discussions involving the bedroom.
  • Token Good Teammate: To most Britannian nobility — Lelouch is genuinely nice and kind to his servants. This might not seem like much, but many lords will have their staff fired if a guest thanks them, on the grounds that this menas the staff will now expect gratitude. This was Truth in Television at one point in history, by the way.
  • Unwanted False Faith: Is worshipped by a cult. He finds it somewhat annoying, but goes with it nonetheless, though he makes no attempt to force this view upon his followers.

    Nunnally vi Britannia

Princess Nunnally vi Britannia, Countess of Bougainville Island

Lelouch's younger sister.
  • Adaptational Badass: Is a skilled Knightmare pilot. In fact, she's one of her brother's Knights here.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Downplayed, but she's notably more aggressive then in canon, likely due to still being an acknowledged member of the Imperial Family. She still has her cheerful demeanor, though.
  • Always Someone Better: She beat Lelouch five times in a row in a knightmare duel.
  • Big Brother Worship: Her relationship with Lelouch, in a nutshell.
  • Closet Gay: She comes out to Lelouch shortly before the Indonesian Conference. Her lover is Alice MacDougall, who she later makes her Knight of Honor.
  • Little Miss Badass: She starts learning to be a Knightmare pilot before she is thirteen years old.
  • Young and in Charge: She's the Countess of Bougainville Island.

    Kallen Stadfeld

Kallen Stadtfeld/Kouzuki

Daugther of Duke Isaac Stadfelt.
  • Action Girl: She's an amazing knightmare pilot.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Inverted Trope - since Japan has not been invaded by Britannia, she's in a much better place emotionally than she was in canon.
  • Adaptation Deviation: She still has issues relating to a parent, but while in canon it was her mother being a servant for her stepmother and later being arrested due to overdosing on refrain, here it is her father's family secretly betraying Britannia at some point in the past.
  • The Big Gal: She's probably the best knightmare pilot among Lelouch's forces. Well, her or Nunnally.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Averted - she's surprisingly okay with Lelouch interacting with other women (and potentially being in a relationship with them), in part because she's aware he's a prince and thus can't exactly afford to be monogamous. She even gives Jeanne a pat on the back once she realizes the girl has feelings for Lelouch.
  • Modest Royalty: Well, Modest Nobility, but Kallen prefers to dress and act as a commoner as opposed to the daughter of a duke.
  • Playing with Fire: An Omake of ambiguous canonicity implies she has very minor pyrokinetic psychic talents.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Get's one with Lelouch after he helps her with her parental issues.
    Jeanne Rowe

Dame Jeanne Rowe

Lelouch's military aide.
  • The Confidant: Acts as one to Lelouch.
  • Number Two: To Lelouch.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to all of Lelouch's other subordinates, yeah. She's the only one who manages to maintain proper decorum and adherence to protocol at all times.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: Downplayed, but it's stated that Jeanne was having her career stifled due to Euro-Britannia having more conservative views on women than the Homeland. This was all prior to becoming Lelouch's aide, though.
  • Subordinate Excuse: At the end of the third quarter of year eight, she admits she has feelings for Lelouch. Per the results of the vote, he reciprocates them.

    Kenshin Jaeger

Dr. Kenshin Jaeger

Lelouch's teacher in all things pertaining to Psionics, Archeology, and Astrophysics
  • Alice Allusion: On the character sheets, he's referred to as 'Mad Hatter'. He certainly has the craziness to match.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: He's not exactly all there. His one focus Omake really emphasizes this, both in his flamboyant mannerisms and the number of conspiracies he latches onto.
  • The Cloud Cuckoo Lander Was Right: His studies into psionics are not a waste of time. Additionally, Lelouch's initiation with the Walpurgis Club reveals that there is at least one secret society that really does want Jaege dead and is already backing pirates to achieve this.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: Believes he's being hunted by two groups: 'The Cabal' and 'The Witch-Hunter's Guild'. His focus Omake makes it pretty clear he sees them involved in practically everything.
  • Intentional Engrish for Funny: Among other examples, he refers to himself as a 'Mado Scientist'. Given his background, it's more a sign of mental instability than lack of understanding of the language.
  • Large Ham: All the time.
  • Mad Scientist: He's escaped ten mental institutions by the time he joins Lelouch's forces. More tellingly, he literally refers to himself as a Mad Scientist.
  • Modern Major General: He's overqualified for everything except teaching.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Effectively one to Lloyd and Rakshata — while both characters still exist in this universe and Rakshata actually works with one of the pirate groups that Lelouch is facing, Lelouch has no reason to interact with either.

    Madison Hashima

Dr. Madison Hashima.

Dr. Jaeger's assistant.

    Greta Romano

Greta Romano

Lelouch's naval commander.

    Sayoko Shinozaki

Sayoko Shinozaki

Head of the Shinozaki Shinobi Clan.
  • The Exile: Her entire family was forced into exile due to their lifestyle clashing with the modern culture of Japan, and also because Japan was wary of the Shinobi after dealing with a wave of terror attacks. Unofficially, they also happened to have a longstanding feud with the Sumeragi family, who likely saw the cultural shift as a convenient way to end the feud in their favor.
  • Feuding Families: The Shinozaki Clan and Sumeragi Family have been at odds for some time, which ended with the latter exploiting the fear caused by a wave of terror attacks to petition for the Ninja clan to be exiled from Japan. Sayoko has made peace with this, though, and has more or less buried the hatchet with Kaguya and reached an agreement with the patriarch of the family.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite Lelouch never needing to stay with the Ashford Family, she still ends up willing choosing to serve Lelouch.
  • Ninja: Is one, just like in canon. She also commands pretty much all of the remaining shinobi in existence.
  • Praetorian Guard: Her clan functions as this for Lelouch.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Lelouch for taking in her clan after their exile from Japan.

    Gino Weinberg

Gino Weinberg

A pilot serving under Lelouch.
  • Adaptational Job Change: Canonically a member of the Britannian Army and later Knight of the Round, here he's a pilot.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He's not really all that professional, but he gets results.
  • Composite Character: Takes on Rivalz' canon trait as Lelouch's best friend, due to the former never meeting Lelouch.
  • Out of Focus: He gets the least amount of focus among Lelouch’s allies – even Greta has more screen time than him.

    Milly Ashford

Millicent 'Milly' Ashford

The heir of the Ashford Foundation, and Lelouch's childhood friend.

Kallen's Squad

Exactly What It Says on the Tin
    In General

    Ashely Ashra

Ashley Ashra

The first squad member mentioned by name.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Has been involved in multiple underground fighting rings, but has also received many commendations for valor.
  • Fight Clubbing: Was involved in an underground fighting ring.

    Viletta Nu

Viletta Nu

The second in command of the squad.

    Marika Soreski

Marika Soreski

The third of Kallen's requested pilots.
  • Bit Character: She's only just appeared, so we don't know much about her.
  • Child Soldiers: She's the same age as Nunnally. No word on which type as of yet.

    Lilianna Vergamon

Lilianna Vergamon

The fourth member of Kallen's squad.

    Sokkia Sherka

Sokkia Sherka

The last of Kallen's requested pilots.
  • Loveable Sex Maniac: Lelouch believes the numerous forged allegations against her are due to this.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: Literally – Lelouch flat-out states that if she is too forward regarding her sexual preferences, he'll have her reassigned to the Sheldron Drake Research Station in Antarctica.

Britannian Royal Family

Lelouch's Big, Screwed-Up Family.
    In General

    Charles

Charles zi Britannia, 98th Emperor of Britannia

Lelouch's father, and the incumbent Emperor of Britannia.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Charles is refined, regal, and exerts a natural aura of command. His twin brother is petulant, childish, and overall rather pathetic in appearance. Rather ironically, V.V. is the elder twin, but perpetually young due to being a Code Bearer, while Charles is an old man due to aging normally.
    Odyesseus

Odysseus eu Britannia, Crown Prince of Britannia

The crown prince of Britannia.
  • Black Sheep: To a degree – Odysseus isn't nearly as ambitious as his half-siblings, so he lacks many of their hard-earned skills. However, his pliability means others with greater ability will flock to him, ensuring that he is still a contender for the throne.
    Schneizel

Schneizel el Britannia, Second Prince of Britannia

The Prime Minister of Britannia.
  • The Chessmaster: Still is one. His plans regarding the handling of Africa are just one example of his genius.
  • The Sociopath: Scheneizel tends to see people as chess pieces as opposed to, well, people. He has a special modifier that makes him treat every Social Link as being five ranks lower than they really are.
    Guinevere

Guinevere su Britannia, First Princess of Britannia

Lelouch's eldest sister.
    Cornelia

Cornelia li Britannia, Second Princess of Britannia

Lelouch's eldest sister.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Since Lelouch and Nunnally were never sent to Japan as bargaining chips in this timeline, Cornelia has far less pronounced Fantastic Racism toward non-Britannians.
  • Foil: To Lelouch, all the way.
    • Lelouch is half-commoner on his mother's side, while Cornelia has Royal Blood from both of her parents.
    • Lelouch is usually an Armchair Military Leader, while Cornelia is a Frontline General (though Lelouch isn't a poor fighter by any means).
    • Lelouch desires to conquer Australia as a stepping stone to becoming Emperor, while Cornelia wants to reclaim her mother's homeland of Russia, with the intent of renouncing her claim to the Britannian Throne to do so.
  • Kansas City Shuffle: Cornelia doesn't actually have plans to become Empress of Britannia - she's instead aiming to become the Tzarina of Russia (her mom, Anastasia, is the Anastasia), and will then marry Schneizel so that he has a better chance at getting the throne. All of her campaigns so far? They're to put her in a position to outflank the Rus Republic.
  • Last of His Kind: When answering questions in honor of the quest reaching five hundred pages, Slayer Anderson revealed that Cornelia and Euphemia's mom, Anastasia, is actually Anastasia Romanova, making them the last descendants of the Russian Royal family (disregarding any cadet branches, of course).
    Euphemia

Euphemia li Britannia

Lelouch's younger sister...and one of his Love Interests.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Averted - not only is she not remotely perturbed by the idea of Lelouch having a Royal Harem (which is no surprised, as both siblings are products of such a group), but she's perfectly willing to allow Lelouch to have a child with Sayoko. Part of this is pragmatism: Euphemia wants to be sure her own children with Lelouch do not feel neglected by their father, so she wants to see if Lelouch can balance his current schedule with caring for a single child.
  • Shipper with an Agenda: Part of the reason she's willing to allow Lelouch to start a family with Sayoko is because she wants to know if Lelouch can balance his duties with caring for said child - she does not want any children she has with Lelouch to suffer the same burdens that herself and her brother had to go through with Charles.
    Hannes

Hannes gua Britannia

One of Lelouch's half-brothers.
  • Foil: To Lelouch, in numerous ways.
    • Hannes is rather shy whilst Lelouch is far more social.
    • Lelouch actively aims to take the throne, while Hannes just wants to be safe.
    • Lelouch is extremely active in global affairs while Hannes has pretty much isolated himself in the Desolation Islands.
  • Out of Focus: Hasn't showed up at all since he was first introduced, owing to lack of reader interest.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Canon!Hannes was abused by his mother and her servants for his inability/lack of interest to take the throne, developed a fear of women, ended up cutting off his wives' arms and legs because he realized crippled women couldn't hurt him, and was eventually killed by a Geass user. So far, he's doing much better than this.
