    Nicholas Saint North
Nicholas Saint North, God of Badass Santas (Santa Claus, Guardian of Wonder)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nicholas_st_north.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: His Naughty and Nice tattoos on his arms
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Twin sabers, feelings in his belly, Russian heritage, long beard, Santa Claus, leading the Guardians, magical technology, being a former criminal
  • Domains: Christmas, Childhood, Wonder
  • Heralds: his Yeti and elf workers
  • Allies:
  • Enemies:
  • His temple in the Pantheon contains a snow globe on a pedestal. This snow globe opens a portal to his workshop, where he is most of the time.
  • Is a very popular god in the House of Weapons, the House of Technology and the House of Commerce.
  • When he has off time, and isn't sampling cookies from the House of Food, he can often be found with the Heavy discussing literature and music.
  • Things to know about North; He is very intimidating, downright jolly, mysterious, fearless, caring, and most important of all, full of wonder.
  • Is willing to let others ride with him on the sleigh, but if he says buckle up, know that it's just an expression.
  • He no longer lets pantheon members sit on his knee, since he has to be mobile to oversee the workshop.
  • NEVER harm a child in his presence. Ever.
  • For those that wish to truly become a follower, he will demand to know their center. And if they've yet to find it, will make sure to help them to do so.
  • When he heard of Jack Skellington's ascension (and what happened the last time Jack tried to be "Sandy Claws"), he was quite weary when Jack burst into his temple. Instead of asking whether or not he could perform North's duties, Jack instead asked for help regarding some plans for his Halloween performance and looked in absolute awe at all of the toys he was making. North took this in good humor and has helped Skellington out in this regard. It also helps that they both despise the same person: Pitch.
  • Sora once asked if he was on the Nice list, but found out in dismay that he wasn't due to him stating that he didn't believe in Santa Claus a few years back (although it turned out that he was tricked by his good friend Riku).
  • He's never asking Goldberg to deliver presents for him again, not after what happened last time.
  • Has it out for Alucard for killing one of his earthly avatars.
  • Many a god marvel at North for his skill and audacity because every year, without fail or injury, he personally delivers a lump of coal to every villainous god in the Pantheon on Christmas. This, of course, has earned him the ire of many evil deities, especially Morgoth. He wants that damn BB gun.

    Robot Santa Claus
Robot Santa Claus, The Monster Santa of X-Mas
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/robotsanta_7248.png
  • Intermediate God
  • Symbol: A bloody and sharpened Candy Cane
  • Theme Song: Santa Claus Is Gunning You Down, This Trinity's Going To War
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Portfolio: Brutalizes Anyone He Thinks Is Naughty (Which Is Almost Everyone), The Sociopath, Felony Misdemeanor, Powerful Yet Evil Santas, Ax-Crazy Robotic Psychopath, Extremely High Moral Standards, Making Xmas Miserable For 200 Years, Seeing Zoidberg As Nice, Would Hurt a Child, Jerkass
  • Domains: Festivity, Morality, Judgment
  • Allies: Merged Zamasu, formerly Teru Mikami
  • Those on his nice list: John Zoidberg, Fred Rogers, Son Goku (the feeling isn't mutual)
  • Those on his very naughty list: Bender and his friends, scammers, Ebenezer Scrooger, the Grinch, Eric Cartman, Alucard, Steve Smith and his family, Princess Morbucks, the House of Crime and Transgressions, Vegeta
  • Those on his naughty list: Just about anyone not mentioned
  • Direct enemies: Nicholas St North, Jack Skellington, Eliphas, GLaDOS, Light Yagami
  • Robot Santa Claus was developed by the Friendly Robot Company in 2801, meant to give gifts to the good people on Earth. Unfortunately a glitch set his standards impossibly high. With very few exception he judges everybody as naughty. And those he sees as naughty deserve more than just coal in their stocking, but murder and mayhem. It is because of him that X-mas has become a day of terror instead of togetherness.
  • He treats every crime whether it be well-intentioned, unknown, or from the fallen and Moral Event Horizons equally. Almost everyone except Zoidberg is on his naughty list, and when X-mas rolls around he tries to hunt them down and kill them.
  • Lives on Neptune, which for some reason isn't a gas giant in the Futurama universe. He's not the only holiday icon in the 31st century-there's a far less homicidal Kwanzaa Bot and the Hanukkah Zombie, and the three seem to be on good terms. When Nudar and his scammers scammed him out of his list, he teamed up with Earth to stop them.
  • It's extraordinarily rare for him to leave his shrine until X-Mas, giving the rest of the pantheon time to prepare. An attempt to destroy him has granted him the attention of GLaDOS, wishing to learn of his paradox-absorbing crumple zones. He seems concerned about this because he doesn't want his paradox-absorbing crumple zones to be reverse-engineered and a counter made for them.
  • Nicholas St North considers him just as bad as Pitch, if not even worse. To him, he is a perversion of everything the job of Santa stands for and has to be eliminated for good to save Christmas. Every December 23, the two fight each other for who will deliver presents and/or pain. Every October 31 Robot Santa Claus goes after Jack Skellington for the time he tried to usurp Christmas. He and Nicholas St North may be enemies, but he recognizes him as a proper Santa. In his eyes Jack Skellington dared step into territory where he didn't belong.
  • Though opposed by almost every Santa due to his Black-and-White Insanity, he still hates it if they are severely injured or harmed. Steve Smith and his family have been fighting off Santa for years due to accidentally shooting him, and that Santa proved to be evil as well. Alucard's killing of Santa was so bad that he eschewed the naughty and very naughty list for the "absolute, super-irredeemably naughty plaque", having a Fate Worse than Death in store for the No-Life King. Vegeta is also high-up on his naughty list, not just for his numerous crimes, but or shooting down Santa's sleigh. Amusingly, he considers Son Goku nice as he is the champion of Christmas and being pure enough to ride the Nimbus Cloud. Goku rightfully considers him an enemy of Christmas, though anyone else on his nice list does as well.
    • However, certain events have caused Robot Santa to question Goku's pureness, as he stopped his universe's Santa's plans to eradicate naughtiness (ignoring that it would've meant the destruction of Earth).
  • Proves to be such a Knight Templar that even other knight templars think he's insane. Because of his extremely high stands, he considers them naughty as well. However there is at least one that matches his extremism and homicidal nature-Merged Zamasu. Like him Zamasu believes all mortals are naughty, and while there are some mortals that are nice they can be counted with his fingers. So long as they don't reproduce and serve as the Last of Their Kind, Zamasu will let them be so long as he gets the Bad Santa to expand beyond the Earth and Neptune.
  • Teru Mikami used to be another ally of his due to being even more judgmental than his master Light Yagami, and even more insane. To everyone's horror he gave Robot Santa knowledge of the Death Note. You can imagine how horrifying that is. Kira was utterly mortified by this, and immediately chewed out him for doing something so stupid. Robot Santa and Teru's alliance ended then and there, and they are trying to get the Death Note back.
  • He can be kind to a very, very few of the gods. At least one incident of a god not sharing the gift he gave them with the poor, sending the god back onto the naughty list has been reported however. One of those exceptions is Fred Rogers, to everyone's surprise.
  • It's been discovered without his naughty list, he's left unsure who to kill. A grand heist to raid his Death Fortress on Neptune and sell the list to the House of Justice so that it may then be safely placed in the treasures is in the works.
  • One X-Mas the pantheon managed to slow him down until the final hour of the day. He made a polite offer to his one-time replacement Bender to help make up for time lost. Bender promptly cheesed it.

Lesser Gods

    SCP-4666
SCP-4666, God of Lovecraftian Christmas Figures (The Yule Man)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yuleman_photo_final.jpg
Possible photograph of SCP-4666, recovered from a cell phone at the location of Weissnacht Event #057130.
  • Lesser God, Keter by SCP standards
  • Symbol: His unique fingerprint, or horrific presents
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Extraordinarily Malevolent Santabomination With The Worst Parts Of Krampus, Cold-Blooded Torture and Cruel and Unusual Death, Eats Kids And Turns Human Parts Into Presents, Nightmarish Factory, Serial Killer, Humanoid Abomination
  • Domains: Christmas, Abduction, Torture, Rituals, "Gifts", Subverting Innocence
  • Followers: Joulupukki, Hogfather, Mr Sacks, Zim's Santa Suit
  • Banned from: The Houses of Craft and Commerce
  • Interested in: The Hall of Torture and Mutilation
  • Allies: SCP-106, Freddy Krueger, Melkor, Pennywise the Clown, Eddie Low, Jack the Ripper, Ramsay Bolton, Oogie Boogie
  • Headbutting Villains with: Winterbolt, Pitch Black
  • Enemies: The SCP Foundation, every single Santa (even Robot Santa Claus), literally every Christmas deity and everyone related to it, Jack Skellington, the entire House of Family and Relatives, Son Goku, Zim, Dib Membrane, Xerneas, Queen Elsa, Jack Frost (both of them), Tony Tony Chopper
  • SCP-4666. Object Class: Keter. A entity that shows up from the night of December 21-22 to January 1-2 north of 40 degrees latitude, "the Yule Man" acts like a twisted parody of Santa and the Krampus. During a Weissnacht Event he ritualistically tortures and kills families in creatively brutal ways, and kidnaps kids to work in his factory. They work in hellish conditions to make presents out of human body parts, as a macabre take on the holidays. He is equal parts Serial Killer and Humanoid Abomination.
  • Upon his ascension, SCP-4666 soon found himself despised by every single Santa in the pantheon, and every being related to Christmas. And we do mean every, as Robot Santa Claus was repulsed by him. When the Yule Man questioned where he gets to have the moral high ground, he replied that he only acts brutal to the naughty kids, it's just that 99.999% of them are naughty in his eyes. When it was pointed out that this is 14.999% more than the Yule Man apparently considers naughty, Robot Santa argued that even then, he wouldn't subject them or his elves to the level of torture the Yule Man is guilty of.
  • Jack Skellington has been spending much of the winter holidays trying to take out SCP-4666, as he does not treat the torture and death of children lying down, nor the perversion of holidays. 4666 pointed out that he messed up Christmas and doesn't have room to talk, though this is only trying to save face as he does not care about how monstrous his take on the holidays is.
  • Has been summarily banned from the Houses of Craft and Commerce. This is due to his "Weissnacht" gifts for the pantheon involved him crafting stuff from bones, muscles, skin and whatever body parts he can get ahold of, which he was making in Craft and tried to sell in Commerce. The House of Family will shoot him on sight for obvious reasons. SCP-4666 has instead produced "gifts" in the Hall of Torture and Mutilation, along with improving his "craft".
  • Wanted to make a flying reindeer of his own. After mutilating animals and stitching wings didn't work, SCP-4666 decided to go after Xerneas (a fairy deer was "close enough"), and the actual reindeer Tony Tony Chopper. It's better off not knowing what he planned to do with them, though it likely involves using their immortality and healing capabilities to keep his child slaves live longer to work harder. Son Goku proceeded to Instant Transmission and beat the living daylights out of the Yule Man due to his position as champion of Christmas.
  • Zim and Dib recognized SCP-4666 as similar to the rogue Santa Suit of their universe, a Christmas monstrosity. Worrying that it had somehow returned in a new form, they teamed up to stop 4666. Both Jack Frosts and Queen Elsa loathe the Yule Man, who can be seen stalking the Hall of Ice and Cold.
  • Has attracted the attention of other twisted holiday figures and enemies of said holidays. Oogie Boogie likes the cut of his jib, and how he could help restore Bug Day. Winterbolt and Pitch Black saw a lot of potential, but they are less happy to work with SCP-4666. Winterbolt worries he might get in the way of his rule of the North Pole and the holiday seasons as a fellow Christmas figure, while Pitch Black thinks he's a bit too intense for a full partnership.
  • Melkor seems fond of SCP-4666, since the entity perverts everything about Santa, The Krampus and Christmas to a truly wicked and nightmarish level. Freddy Krueger appreciates 4666's twisted sense of style and how he brings fear and pain to so many people. And SCP-106, having already done horrible things in a macabre Halloween, wants to have fun spreading suffering with a fellow SCP. Pennywise was most amused by how he perverts something innocent much like himself, and how they like eating kids.
  • Unfortunately, SCP-4666 has been seen giving out his grotesque gifts to various, truly malevolent deities in the House of Crime and Transgressions. Eddie Low loved the present of a mutilated, stitched corpse that was meant to be a life-sized doll. It seems to like how Jack the Ripper systematically tears apart his victims, and Ramsay Bolton has gotten some terrible ideas on how to celebrate Christmas from the Yule Man.

  • Victorian London was full of colourful characters all striving to make a living. But there was one man who was hated among all others, one considered a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner. This was Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old moneylender who made his wealth from siphoning money from his debtors and underpaying his employee Bob Cratchit. Simply put, he was a man consumed by greed and thought poorly of his fellow human beings. He also despised the Christmas season, due to it being a season where people were more generous and willing to give to others. But this monetary worldview all changed one Christmas Eve when Scrooge was visited by a most mysterious spectre covered in chains. It was his business partner Jacob Marley, who died seven years on the day. Marley had been condemned to spend an eternity dragging the chains forged in life by his greed and ignorance towards his fellow men. As such, Scrooge was warned that if he didn't change his ways, he would be doomed to suffer the same fate bestowed upon Marley. That night, Scrooge was visited by three spirits, each representing Christmas past, present and yet to come. It was through them that Scrooge relived his Dark and Troubled Past, learned the generosity and kindness the season brought with it, and most importantly, that his actions in the present would have terrible consequences if left unchanged. Scrooge awoke the next morning - Christmas morning - a changed man. He promised to keep Christmas in his heart and remember the lessons the spirits taught him. He made amends to his cruel actions the previous day; giving out donations to the poor, accepting his nephew Fred’s invitation to Christmas dinner and, most important of all, giving Bob Cratchit a much-deserved raise and making him his partner. Scrooge kept his word, in fact, he was better than his word. He became a second father to Cratchit’s son Tiny Tim and became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew. It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us.
    • Scrooge and Cratchit remained a respectable establishment, with Ebenezer continuing to remain true to the lessons he learnt all those years ago. Then, on one Christmas Eve, Scrooge discovered a strange letter on his desk. He opened it and read it. “You have done much, my old friend,” it said in fine handwriting. “Now, I think it is time to spread some more goodwill. You have been chosen, Ebenezer Scrooge.” When he finished reading it, a strange light appeared in front of him. Scrooge, rather cautiously, entered the light. He emerged on the other side in a strange place, full of festive lights, falling snow, children playing games and singing, and people preparing decorations. It was unlike anything Scrooge had ever seen, but he recognized the festive cheer. Then, from amongst the crowd, a familiar face approached, one he thought he would never see again. Old Jacob Marley was still a ghost, still carrying his chains, but instead of a look of sadness, he was happy. Proud even. Marley explained the land Scrooge had entered was called The Pantheon and asked his old friend to help spread the joy and goodwill Scrooge discovered to the people living there. Now Scrooge thought on it for a moment… but who was he to deny an offer such as that? He accepted, thanking his friend for helping him change his ways. Soon enough, he was soon given a special title and position within the Pantheon.
  • Scrooge's temple leads to Victorian-Era London, straight to his old counting-house in the Ward of Cornhill. Before his change in heart, many saw the counting-house - "Scrooge and Marley" - as a terrible place, as Scrooge often hounded his debtors. After that Christmas Eve, the establishment gave off a more positive vibe and the people came to respect "Scrooge and Cratchit" much more. It's open to any mortals in the Pantheon looking to do business. Some fear missing their payments, afraid of invoking Scrooge's wrath. Thankfully, he's much more lenient than he used to be, giving his debtors plenty of time to pay back, even helping those in dire need whenever possible.
  • Scrooge was initially overjoyed when he found young Tiny Tim was also in the pantheon, having been given a Temple of his own. As mentioned before, Scrooge acted like a second father to the lad, helping to provide the funds and food needed to help the ailing boy. Then one day, young Tim was nowhere to be seen, his temple seemingly abandoned. Scrooge feared the worst until he discovered that Tiny Tim was still in the Pantheon... he only brought his father up. Bob Cratchit had heard that Scrooge arrived on his own and figured he would help with getting his employer accustomed to the Pantheon. As a result, Cratchit was named Scrooge's first Herald, with Tiny Tim travelling around the Pantheon with Scrooge and making new friends. It was through Tiny Tim that old Ebenezer became acquainted with a young Pokémon trainer named Wally, who suffered from a breathing condition that left him frail and sickly. After visiting family in Verdanturf Town, Wally was able to recover and overcome his frailties and become a skilled and active boy. Scrooge couldn't help but admire Wally's determination and will sometimes converse with the boy whenever they meet. For his part, Scrooge has grown accustomed to the strange pocket monsters Wally keeps company with, finding them to be charming, in their own unique way.
    • Now, as mentioned above, Bob Cratchit was Scrooge's first Herald. His second herald was none other than his nephew Fred, his only living relative. A cheerful young man with a massive heart, many are surprised by Fred's connection with the old miser and are even more surprised by him tolerating and even poking fun at his uncle's cynical nature. In the past, Scrooge looked down on Fred's "poor status" and didn't appreciate the lad's Christmas cheer, turning down any invitations to dinner with his family. One night with the Ghosts later and a redeemed Scrooge immediately jumped to the occasion and joined Fred and his family for Christmas dinner, joining in their games and festive activities. Fred and his wife will come to visit Scrooge whenever they get the chance, sometimes they invite other deities to their home for the holidays.
  • As there have been so many adaptations of Scrooge's story and timeline it's only natural that his appearance in the Pantheon changes from time to time, sometimes resembling other deities. At one point he may look like Alfred Pennyworth, at others, he could resemble Scrooge McDuck, Jean Luc Picard, Charles Xavier and even Peter Venkman if given the chance. There was even a time he sounded like Henry Truman, a timeline he rarely explores. He actually became acquainted with some of these men, primarily Alfred, Picard, and Xavier, who all admired Scrooge's road to redemption.
  • Speaking of Mr. McDuck, both he and Ebenezer were surprised to discover their shared surname while in the Pantheon. McDuck simply wrote it off as a coincidence but one thing was for certain, the richest duck in the world had a shared connection with the original Scrooge. Just like him, he started out as a good person seeking riches to support himself and his betrothed before being consumed by his own avarice. Luckily, he was able to turn over a new leaf.note  The two can often be seen hanging out, discussing business matters among other things, with Ebenezer trying to convince the duck to at least give some money to the poor and needy. A difficult task to put it bluntly. It was through McDuck that Ebenezer met Mickey Mouse, who acted as Bob Cratchit, and McDuck's nephew Donald Duck, who happened to play Fred in the waterfowl's retelling of the story. Human Scrooge finds it difficult to understand Donald sometimes but he does respect the talking animals for telling his story.
  • Back when he was a grouchy old miser, Scrooge's opinion of Christmas was less than stellar. But through his one-night spiritual experience, he became one of the few people to know how to keep the holidays true to his heart, which allowed him to become acquainted with the Pantheon's other Christmas deities. Jolly old Saint Nicolas and Mrs. Claus were both proud of Ebenezer's redemption and have welcomed him to the North Pole from time to time. There, he befriended Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and together they spread a little extra holiday cheer to all in the Pantheon. But allying himself with Santa made Scrooge an automatic enemy with anyone/anything who despises Christmas. The warlock Winterbolt desires to make Scrooge a cold-hearted individual once more while encountering either Robot Santa Claus or SCP-4666 will result in death as both are incredibly dangerous. Scrooge knows better than to interact with those three and Santa has made sure no harm will come to him. There's also the New God Darkseid who hates Christmas for... certain reasons.
    • It should also be noted that Scrooge really doesn't like that his name has become synonymous with greed and humbug during holidays. But he isn't the only one to feel this way. Another former holiday miser, the Grinch, also had to contend with his past actions despite having a change of heart himself. Both he and Scrooge shared their humbling experiences and will work together to spread holiday joy to the young people in the Pantheon. Shame they find the raised by elves human Buddy Hobbs incredibly annoying, as he often acts like an immature child around them.
  • He found out that his experience in being a better person has been used by others, sometimes when it isn't even Christmas. These people include Grouchy Smurf, who can get along with his fellow Smurfs in celebrating the Christmas season, Fred Flintstone, Wario, Daffy Duck, and Yosemite Sam. The latter two Looney Tunes, in particular, caught Scrooge's attention, as both have portrayed Scrooge in two different timelines, with Sam also appearing in the Daffy timeline as the Ghost of Christmas Present. Both Tunes, greedy hot-tempered individuals at times, had trouble getting along with Scrooge, with the old miser initially confused by the changes to the story. Fred Flintstone performed as "Ebonezer Scrooge" in a community theatre adaptation of the story, but his position as the lead got to his head. It was only through performing the production did Fred finally overcome his hubris and learned to be a better caveman, something Scrooge came to admire after attending the performance in secret. Wario meanwhile is a greedy individual consumed with becoming the richest being in the Pantheon, a goal shared with Bikini Bottom crustacean Mr. Krabs. Scrooge can have a civil conversation with Wario - so long as the fat man doesn't get gassy. As for Mr. Krabs...
    • Scrooge couldn't find any room in his heart to sympathize with the shrewd owner of the Krusty Krab, even after first chatting with him. In many ways, Krabs reminded Scrooge of himself in the past; a selfish, greedy, manipulative businessman who takes advantage of his own employees and customers for a quick profit. At least Scrooge doesn't sell his employees to demonic beings for 62 cents.
  • Scrooge may have changed his ways but there are still plenty of things he looks down on. In particular, most of the more wealthy villainous deities in the Pantheon, as well as those who abuse their employees. He thinks they are either too avaricious or snobbish with their riches and workers. This is especially true with Lex Luthor, who not only had the money but also the smarts to make the world better, except he chose to waste it on villainous schemes. UBS TV Producer Diana Christensen once tried to rope Scrooge onto her new program fro an interview, but when he learned the fate of anchor Howard Beale, he immediately walked out and swore to never supply her with the funds she had requested. Diana wasn't pleased. She swore that should she and Scrooge cross paths again, there would be hell to pay.
    • Even the rich children aren't very pleasant. Princess Morbucks, along with the Reagan Twins - Neil and Eliza - were appalled that Scrooge would throw his fortune away on lowly commoners and believe that they should take the money for themselves. In many ways, the Reagan's reminded Scrooge of Ignorance and Want; two wraithlike creatures born from Mankind's cruelty and depravity whom he encountered while with the Ghost of Christmas Present. He's made sure to avoid the cruel uncaring children ever since he first met them.
  • One of the few villainous figures in the Pantheon who shows any respect towards Scrooge is The Professor, archenemy of Felix the Cat. The Professor idolizes Ebeneezer Scrooge, due to their once-mutual contempt for the Christmas season and everything associated with it, along with going through a life-changing experience made Scrooge undergo a Heel–Face Turn. As a result, the little scientist has nothing but the utmost respect for him and has even helped the old moneylender by providing him with inventions to help during the holidays.
  • Once upon a time, Scrooge was opposed to giving donations to the poor and the homeless, feeling they should either go to the prisons and the poorhouses or die to "decrease the surplus population". His time with the Ghosts of Christmas Present and Yet To Come opened his eyes to the plight of the poor and since that night, he's made an effort to use his wealth to help others. Scrooge has made allies with other like-minded individuals as a result. The young homeless idol Eve Santaclaus met Scrooge - via his connections to Santa - one cold December night and offered to help him out with a donation drive. It was a major success and others soon flocked to Scrooge's side to assist him in whatever way they can. They include Jerrica Benton, who used the money she earns to help her orphans, Perrine Clostermann, who gave up her entire fortune to help war orphans, and a young boy named Oliver Twist, who came to Scrooge's aid to help raise funds. Even Sara Crewe once helped out a starving beggar girl by giving her five of the six buns she bought. Said beggar eventually became an apprentice at a bakery. He also became friends with both Stella Hoshii and Bruce Wayne, who both try to use their wealth to help others, with Bruce trying a little harder whenever his "nightly job" can't do the work. There's been word of them, along with Scrooge McDuck, building a charity foundation for the Pantheon. Much to the duck's reluctance. This generosity caught the attention of McDuck's long-time adversary, Flintheart Glomgold, who was flabbergasted by Scrooge's newfound caring nature. Glomgold has his eyes set on Ebenezer's massive wealth and will stop at nothing to acquire it, even if it means employing the Beagle Boys to do so. McDuck has taken notice, and has informed Ebenezer just in case.
    • One Christmas Eve, Scrooge came across three homeless individuals from Japan named Gin, Hana, and Miyuki, who had made themselves known for helping to reunite an abandoned baby with her parents. He was touched by their plight to find the child's parents, as well as make amends with their own estranged family and was pleasantly surprised by their sheer luck which bordered on the divine. Scrooge sat down and talked with the three, offering to help them out in whatever way he can and although they did get a winning lottery ticket, the three still appreciated the Englishman's generosity and compassion. That being said, Scrooge was not impressed with Gin abandoning his family due to his gambling addiction, going so far as to call out the old man for his actions. Gin accepted the criticism, knowing he deserved it fully and is willing to learn from Scrooge with, as the miser puts it, "a thankful heart."
  • Scrooge's disdain for Christmas is not unjustified. Far from it. Most if not all of the tragedies in Scrooge's life occurred during the holidays. He was abandoned at boarding school by his abusive father, his kind-hearted sister Fan died young - presumably giving birth to Fred - and Belle, his beloved and betrothed, left him for another man once she realized Scrooge was consumed by his own greed. As a result, Scrooge frowns upon those who abused or their children, such as Lady Tremaine, Fire Lord Ozai, Carol - AKA Mom - and Lord Tywin Lannister. Tremaine in particular ruffled Scrooge not only for her treatment of Cinderella but also due to her desire to climb the social ladder, using her own daughters as pawns in her plans. Ozai and Tywin were pretty obvious; they reminded Scrooge of his own father, and he wanted nothing to do with either of them, even when Tywin offered to make Ebenezer's business "greater" than it already was. Scrooge has kept his distance but in doing so, he met and befriended Tywin's dwarf son Tyrion, who like Scrooge had a soft spot for "bastards, cripples and broken things". Tyrion has made a similar offer to Scrooge as Tywin did, except his idea of greater was to establish new business ventures with the Iron Throne. After all, progress is necessary for growth.
    • Another deity who suffered a similar family scenario with Ebenezer was Billy Baston, also known as the superhero Shazam. Turns out, Baston has an antagonistic uncle named Ebenezer Batson, based directly on Scrooge himself, who frequently tries to steal money from Billy. Scrooge wouldn't tolerate such a thing in the Pantheon and has gone out of his way to ensure Baston has enough money to let him live a comfortable life. The kid appreciates it and considers Scrooge a better uncle than his own.
  • Losing Belle hurt Ebenezer Scrooge more than anything else in the world, haunting him for decades. It was this heartbreak and loss that led to the old man pitying those in the Pantheon who also lost love as he did. Such examples include the firebender Mako, who failed to hold onto Avatar Korra due to his own blunders, and the bounty hunter Spike Spiegel, who lost his beloved Julia not once, but twice! Both young men have spoken to Scrooge, asking for any advice should they choose to go back into the dating scene. Scrooge could only reply with a single sentence. "Enjoy the treasure of love while it lasts because you may not know when it runs out."
    • Then he met Victor Fries. At first, Scrooge was frightened by Mr. Freeze and his technology, viewing him as the frozen monster with no heart. But this perception couldn't be more further than the truth. Victor only acquired his low-temperature tolerance and supervillain mentality while trying to find a cure for his terminally ill wife Nora. Surprised and rather moved by this motivation, Scrooge lightened up a bit, offering his assistance with Nora's recovery. Victor appreciated the offer and keeps in touch with Ebenezer, the two sharing their backstories on occasion.
  • It's unknown whether or not Scrooge actually met those three spirits. Of course, he doesn't care either way as he is happy with who he is now. On occasion, he hears other deities encounter the spirits around Christmas time, which brings a smile to his face. But despite what others might think, Scrooge doesn't have that much of a connection with the Ghost deities around the Pantheon. There are a few exceptions though, mainly from the residents of Halloween Town. When he first arrived in the town, Scrooge was admittedly wary of its nightmarish residents. Then he met the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington. Jack was immediately in awe of Scrooge, due to reading A Christmas Carol back when he was obsessed with Christmas, and the two began to talk about their past adventures. Ever since that day, Jack has become a close ally of Scrooge's, helping the old moneylender with whatever he needs while making sure his old nemesis, Oogie Boogie, doesn't capture him.
  • Thanks to one particular timeline, Scrooge found himself meeting and performing alongside Kermit the Frog and his Muppet friends, with Kermit playing Bob Cratchit, Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim, Fozzie Bear as Scrooge's first employer Fezziwig, and Statler and Waldorf playing Jacob - and Robert - Marley. He sometimes crosses past with the Muppets and will help them retell the classic tale whenever he gets the chance, even introducing Kermit's gang to Bob Cratchit and Fred. Scrooge was surprised to learn that not only did the Ghosts of Christmas had Muppet incarnations, but that Miss Piggy, Scooter and Gonzo were originally going to play the Spirits. Suffice to say, Old Ebenezer was content with Gonzo being Charles Dickens.
  • He heard of another Expy of his named Snowfall Frost, who, while a bit nicer than he was prior to his reformation, took her hate for Hearth's Warming to another level; while he settled for leaving himself out of the Christmas celebrations, she decided to remove the holiday altogether from everyone's memory. Problem is, to do that would've doomed Equestria into Endless Winter by way of Windigos. Thankfully, just like Scrooge, she saw the error of her ways. Scrooge does talk with the pony Rarity from time to time, as her main specialty is the element of generosity, which came as a major surprise to many. Even old Scrooge himself was surprised he would even talk to a small horse too but then again, he's seen stranger things in the Pantheon.

  • On Good Terms with: Jack Skellington, The Grinch
  • It’s almost Christmas and Blitzen suffering a leg injury threatens to put a stop to the holiday spirit. After mishearing a message on the radio, a dog named Olive sets out to the North Pole to fulfill her mission, even if no one believes that she’s actually a reindeer. Along the way, she finds herself up against a Postman who hates Christmas due to the additional work it imposes on him and has a grudge against Santa Claus, being the one responsible for sending St. Nick mean-spirited letters. After foiling The Postman’s plot, Olive helps Santa deliver the gifts around the world and is appropriately rewarded for her efforts by being gifted an antler headband.
  • Christmastime was approaching once more and Olive was looking forward to it, but a letter addressed to her promised to make this particular Christmas interesting. The letter was written by Santa himself, who wanted to meet with Olive to discuss something that would fascinate her. Following another round of delivering gifts around the world, Santa would tell her about a world known as the Pantheon, where many places familiar and unusual were mixed together alongside a variety of individuals who had their own ways of celebrating Christmas. Olive was both intrigued and worried about what it was like to be part of many other places she never traveled to, especially since it could mean someone else may try to ruin the holidays to a greater extent than what The Postman attempted. Despite her concerns, Santa has been involved with delivering presents throughout the Pantheon during Christmas for a very long time and has given Olive plenty of effective advice on how to make the most of living in an unorthodox world. Knowing that she helped Santa’s spirits back then, Olive figured it made sense for him to return the favor (beyond just getting a nice headband) in helping her keep her pluckiness in a more challenging setting.
  • Knowing how many mythical entities and urban legends are alive in the Pantheon, this meant that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was not an urban legend. It didn’t take long for Olive to find the Red-Nosed Reindeer and given how she got along with Santa’s other reindeer, she easily befriended Rudolph for they were able to help Christmas despite the odds being against them. She learned that Rudolph was able to do more than just save Christmas, including getting the New Year to go smoothly and his encounters with the nefarious Winterbolt, an wicked wizard who wanted to take back the North Pole from Santa. Intense blizzards was a challenge even for Olive’s keen sense of smell, but seeing as how many are opposed to Winterbolt’s plans, she’s done what she can to help her Christmas-based allies prevent him from getting revenge.
  • Martini is a con artist penguin who helped Olive get to the North Pole and thwart The Postman’s plot. She heard about a group of eccentric penguins and when she discovered a quartet of penguins from Central Park Zoo, she found them to be even more strange than Martini. What was just as bizarre was that these penguins also subbed for Santa’s reindeer when St. Nick suffered amnesia and his reindeer refused to work for anyone else when the Zoosters took over for Santa. The Madagascar Penguins took things as if they were in a spy story, but knowing that Olive was friends with a penguin, the quartet was willing to get along with her and provide her with some resources to use if she ends up in a dicey spot.
  • Beyond Winterbolt wanting the North Pole for himself, there were plenty of holiday-themed enemies for Olive to worry about. While The Postman was merely a petty jerk, there were far more actively malicious figures that threatened Christmas and those who celebrate it. Having worked with Santa to bring Christmas cheer, she sees Robot Santa Claus with his ridiculous standards on what “naughty and nice” is, and SCP-4666’s horrifying actions as affronts not just to the holidays, but to Santa’s good name in general. As someone who played a support role as a replacement reindeer and not someone who directly gets involved in fights, Olive knows that going up against these dangerous foes would lead to great danger and it’s largely up to more capable figures to put a stop to their rampage.
  • Pluto was another dog that Olive got along with and being aware of the kinds of abuse he suffered through various circumstances despite having a caring owner in Mickey Mouse, Olive is understanding of the pain he goes through. When it comes to Christmas, Pluto not only regularly celebrates the holiday, but has gone through some adventures of his own in a handful of instances. One moment involved running away to the North Pole after ruining Mickey’s Christmas decorations and getting adopted by Santa’s reindeer, being renamed “Murray” during that time and reunited with Mickey once all was said and done. It was one thing to fill in for Santa’s reindeer, but to be temporarily adopted by them was something that Olive was awed by and whenever she isn’t busy helping Santa and his friends with delivering gifts, she’ll celebrate Christmas with Pluto and give him a gift if possible.
  • Olive heard about another dog who played the role of a reindeer, but the circumstances behind such weren’t as pleasant as she hoped. Max is The Grinch’s pet dog and The Grinch tried to steal Christmas with Max pulling The Grinch’s sleigh that would be used to store the stolen gifts to be eventually dumped. The Grinch would have a change of heart after hearing the joy coming out of The Whos despite not having any Christmas presents and he returned to Whoville to return the gifts after his heart grew three sizes. While Olive wished that the whole “dog acting as a reindeer” routine wouldn’t be used for something petty, she’s thankful to understand that a curmudgeon like The Grinch was able to change for the better. Even if she remains uncertain if The Postman will go through a similar epiphany like The Grinch, her experiences at a bar have her believe that some people who appear mean towards others can not only have some Christmas cheer, but can remain friendly even after the holidays are over.
  • Jack Skellington was another individual whose actions put Christmas at risk, but unlike The Grinch, his goals were well-intentioned, but ultimately misguided. As part of his efforts to give Christmas a Halloween-themed spin, he used his ghost dog Zero to pull his sleigh alongside skeletal reindeer. It turned out that not only did Jack have a fondness for Christmas, but so did Zero especially after the latter visited Christmas Town much like what happened to Jack beforehand. Olive knows about other holidays such as Valentine’s Day and while it took some getting used to seeing a ghost dog (and mixing elements of one holiday with another was just as strange for her), she doesn’t mind having some Halloween fun with Zero and the ghost dog is more than happy to get a Christmas gift from Olive (who Jack has no problem with and approves of Zero hanging out with in regards to people who enjoy Christmas and ensure its stability) whenever the season arrives.
  • Having already befriended Rudolph, Olive was more than eager to find another reindeer even if said reindeer had no association with Santa. When she met Tony Tony Chopper after being told that he was a reindeer, she was surprised to see that he looked very different from a typical reindeer (and knew of the irony of how she herself had to convince others she was a reindeer despite being a dog when telling him such). Chopper had a lot more to him than he appeared, but it was his abilities as a medic that interested Olive given how she had to step in following Blitzen’s injury. For as varied as the Christmas season can be in the Pantheon, there is just as likely a chance that people involved in spreading holiday cheer will get injured. Olive believes that the North Pole can use someone like Chopper to ensure that any injuries that happen there can be under control and to fight off any dangerous enemies that encroach the area.
  • The Postman served as Olive’s main enemy who hated Christmas because of how much extra work he had during that time and sent demeaning letters to Santa to try and discourage him from delivering gifts around the world. While there weren’t much, if any, delivery people in the Pantheon who shared The Postman’s attitude, Olive was dismayed to learn that some have to deliver letters across devastated ruins where civilization has no means of being able to live normally. To Olive, this meant that those who live in such wastelands wouldn’t be able to celebrate Christmas cheer the way many others do, but it was a meeting with a Letter Bee named Lag Seeing and his bodyguard Niche that helped Olive come to terms with that fact. Lag and Niche traveled across many desolate areas fighting monsters in order to deliver letters to a given destination and when Olive asked about Christmas and if it was possible for any letters he’s given to be sent to the North Pole, Lag saw much of his optimism in Olive and told her that he’ll do his best to help the less fortunate get some Christmas cheer. Even if the world Lag and Niche lived in was far worse than what Olive was used to, she doesn’t deny that the two make better mail deliverers than The Postman could ever be, especially since they don’t write cruel letters to anyone.
  • Whether it’s traveling to the North Pole like what Olive did or simply taking place in an urban setting, Christmas as a holiday was at stake more often than she realized. Some of this involved Santa’s spirits being threatened like what The Postman did and one such individual who threatened the holidays for their own personal gain was Princess Morbucks. Morbucks went a few steps further than simply writing mean letters and tried to interfere with the naughty/nice list to make herself look nice and everyone else naughty. Given that she tried to go to the North Pole to ensure her plan succeeded only to be thwarted by The Powerpuff Girls and put on the permanent naughty list as punishment, Olive (who initially had to get past security to initially meet Santa and was repulsed by what Morbucks tried to do) believed that The North Pole had to take measures to ensure that those who wanted to keep the holiday spirit alive (or at least anyone friendly) were allowed access to the place. If The Postman could find a way to switch Santa’s sack with a bag of junk mail, then anyone could interfere with The North Pole and Olive made it a point to work with other Christmas-lovers to prevent anyone from using The North Pole for selfish reasons.

  • While Eve Santaclaus doesn't have that much to do during the off seasons, that all changes once Christmas comes around. It's during that special time of the year that she works extra hard to spread Christmas joy. And that is made easier with both her Producer and her reindeer, Blitzen.
  • Eve actually claims to be the actual Saint Nicholas, or one of them anyway. Though, she was found on the street by Mr. Producer, naked. So there are some who believe she's just a crazy homeless girl who thinks she's Santa. Regardless, all would agree that her wanting to buy gifts for everybody after becoming a successful idol is genuine.
  • Very much enjoys the Japanese kotatsu because of its comfortable warmth. She loves it so much she thought of replacing both her sleigh and Blitzen with a flying kotatsu. But she changed her mind after seeing how hurt Blitzen was of the idea.
  • Eve is considered the Christmas counterpart to Mad King Thorn's Halloween. Because of this, there's been talks about creating a Darker and Edgier movie based on Jack Skellington's own misadventure of replacing Santa Claus. But instead of a well meaning but disastrous attempt of delivering presents, Thorn would play the villainous King of Halloween who wants to take over Christmas Town and turn it into a Wonder Deathland and Eve would play the magical Santa whose job is to stop him. So far, the deal hasn't gone through. But they're still trying to make it happen.
  • Eve was very suspicious of the Grinch when she heard about the time he once tried to steal Christmas from the Whos. She actually thought he might have stolen her gifts and clothes back home. But she dropped her suspicions of him after hearing how he gave those gifts back after finding the true meaning of Christmas. She was advised, however, not to get too close to him during non-Christmas days since he will act like his former grouchy self.
  • Was actually invited by the former Roman Emperor Nero Claudius to participate in a Christmas Charity hosted at her personal theater, Domus Aurea. While Eve was more than excited to do it, the event was a disaster. Might have to do with the misconception of a "singing Santa" being Nero himself .
  • Heard about Jack Skellington's exploits at replacing Santa and delivering presents himself. While Eve could understand the enthusiasm of falling in love with Christmas, she wishes he did it without causing so much havoc. Regardless, the two did strike up a nice friendship over their love of the holiday.
  • At first, Nicholas Saint North didn't know what to think of the young idol who claims to be Santa Claus. But while getting to know the girl, he found out her love for Christmas was genuine. For that, he brought her in his workshop to help out. He even offered her a sleigh ride to deliver the presents which Eve accepted without hesitation.
  • Like any Santa Claus, Eve opposes the brutality of Robot Santa Claus and putting everybody on the naughty list regardless if they were bad or goodnote . She also run afoul with both Mr. Burns and Bowser since those two stole or at least attempted to steal Christmas.
  • Mistook Braum, Mei, Ryuujou and Torbjorn as fellow Santas when she saw them in their Christmas attires. Even when she found out it wasn't true, she still became good friends with them. Because of the mistake, she been thinking of maybe making a Santa group to help deliver toys.
  • Blitzen gets a bit jealous whenever Eve interacts with Rudolph, fearing he would be replaced by the famous red nosed reindeer. Whenever his jealousy rears up, Eve makes sure he is her number one reindeer.
  • Has been asked by the House of Food to help sell any leftover cakes before Christmas. Seems like her positivity is very effective as they do sell out.
  • Is pretty much grateful for the many deities here who have saved Christmas in the past. And there are a lot of those deities in here.
  • Eve became good friends with Yomi when the latter learned she was homeless. And they became very good friends when Eve found Yomi's bean sprout very delicious. Eve also decided to help Yomi realize that there is good in anybody, regardless if they are rich or poor.
  • Has a habit of decorating many of the Houses in the Pantheon. So it can be a bit of a dissonance when the House of Slaughter has green and red tinsel hanging around with a plastic Frosty the Snowman on the front door.
    • Some of her decorations have even made it into the public eye, such as the "Frosty Boulevard" makeover of New York City. A few of the Street Fighter deities, many of them being American, have expressed appreciation for this. She's even befriended Alex and Elena at one of those celebrations.
    • Abigail, on the other hand, doesn't like this very much. All that snow and decor gets in the way of him riding his car through the city.

    Gin, Hana, and Miyuki

  • Enemies: The Child Abuse Supporters, Shou Tucker, those who abuse the homeless, child kidnappers
  • On friendly terms: Most Yakuza deities
  • Disliked by: Most father deities (Gin)
  • A middle-aged alcoholic man who's rude yet caring, an older male-to-female transsexual with a love for singing and haikus, and a cat-loving snarky teenage girl. Gin, Hana, and Miyuki were just one of the many homeless of Tokyo doing what they could to keep themselves fed on Christmas Eve night when they came across an abandoned newborn girl while digging through trash. Naming the baby Kiyoko, Gin, Hana, and Miyuki traveled across Tokyo in search of her parents; many antics ensued, but the three bums succeeded in their endeavor to reunite Kiyoko with her parents, with no small amount of help from luck that borders on divine miracles.
  • Ascended to the Pantheon at the behest of Santa Claus, who witnessed Gin, Hana, and Miyuki's incredibly good deed of returning Kiyoko to her parents on the holiest of nights and wanting to reward them in kind. Noting the amazing streaks of good luck the three experienced during the holiday, which not only helped them on their quest but also reunited the three with their estranged families and got them out of poverty with a winning lotto ticket, Saint Nick deemed Gin, Hana, and Miyuki the perfect fit for the Christmas Miracle trope.
    • Gin, Hana, and Miyuki were initially weirded out to be in a separate plane of existence in which many fictional characters were real. But after some adjusting, the three came to enjoy their ascension, especially after learning the reason why, and are forever grateful of Saint Nick for recognizing their heroic act.
  • True to their trope, Gin, Hana, and Miyuki experience all sorts of good luck and miracles come the Christmas season. This effect of theirs evidently doubled with Baby Kiyoko, their shared Herald ( And godchild), in tow. Gin is often tempted to use this Christmas-fueled good luck to play the lottery, but a disciplinary smack from Hana is enough to knock away that temptation, followed by a lecture on not going back to his gambling ways. And indeed, Hana is not one to try to capitalize on the Christmas miracles the three experience, not wanting to take advantage of what she deems as God's blessing for their guardianship of Kiyoko for selfish purposes, and keeps the other two from attempting to do so.
    • Doesn't stop a lot of unwelcome company from trying to force themselves into Gin, Hana, and Miyuki's ensemble during Christmas time in an attempt to profit off of their seasonal good fortune. If these intrusive people don't get chased away by Gin, then they're usually dealt with by other deities who respect the Tokyo godfather's boundaries. And if all else fails, the undesired company quickly learn that the trio's good Christmas fortune only applies to them, while outsiders who try to abuse it get the exact opposite luck.
  • Gin, Hana, and Miyuki's temple is that of the cardboard house they lived in, but modified by the cardboard specialists of the Pantheon to be a much roomier and cozier abode.
  • When they first came across Mima Kirigoe by pure chance, the trio felt and odd sense of kinship with the Idol Singer turned actress, which was very much reciprocated by her. Since then, Mima had become an unofficial family member to the Tokyo godfathers.
    • Of the three, Mima relates with Hana the most given that both used to professional singers, even if Hana simply performed in her Mother's Drag Queen Bar compared to Mima's former status as an Idol Singer. The two are often seen performing duets with each other.
    • On learning of the traumatic event in Mima's life that is the reason for her ascension and assigned trope, Gin, Hana, and Miyuki's protective instincts which they last felt when chasing after Sachiko went into overdrive and the three pledged to protect her from any pervs and stalkers.
  • The three are revered in the House of Family for their efforts in reuniting Kiyoko with her parents, as well as reuniting with their own estranged family, and being an example of a good family, if slightly dysfunctional. Hana in particular is considered an unofficial member of the Hall of Mothers.
    • Although, plenty of deities criticized Hana for her decision to try and raise Kiyoko on her own, despite being homeless, and then personally track down the baby's parents instead of immediately taking the abandoned newborn to the police, something Gin and Miyuki repeatedly urged to do when they first came across Kiyoko. Hana is quick to admit the irresponsibility of those actions, especially the former. And while she won't defend the latter decision, Hana explains that she seriously felt it better to find Kiyoko's parents and confront them about the abandonment of their offspring rather than risk putting Kiyoko through foster care as she had, Hana being an abandoned child herself. Hana also makes clear that, had she known that Kiyoko was stolen from her parents rather than abandoned by them, she would've brought the baby to the police straight away.
    • And on the other hand, the Hall of Fathers and most father deities harbor some dislike to Gin. For as much as he loves his daughter and was crucial in reuniting Kiyoko with her parents, he nonetheless made his family's life difficult with his addictions, abandoned them when his gambling debt got loan sharks on his tail, and even claimed his wife and daughter to be dead for a fabricated backstory. Gin accepts much of the dislike, acknowledging that he was a poor excuse of a father and husband, and still doesn't even forgive himself. Not even when Kiyoko (his biological daughter, not the abandoned baby) herself explicitly forgave him for his mistakes.
  • Being a former bicycle racer actually a bike merchant, and still a superb cyclist, Gin gets along great with bike-riding deities. In particular, he's good friends with Mumen Rider; with the homeless man inspired by Satoru's courage and heroism despite lacking superpowers and fighting ability, while Mumen Rider was impressed with Gin's determination, which enabled him to survive a brutal beat down by delinquents and be crucial in rescuing Kiyoko from her kidnapper.
  • Gin can often be seen in the Hall of Alcohol, partaking in any drinks he could afford. Though he's been trying to cut back on his drinking, becoming aware that his alcoholism is his Fatal Flaw.
  • Hana spends much of her time in the Hall of Singers and Performers, doing what she loves most. Isn’t quite as good as she was back in her days performing for her Mother's Drag Queen Bar, but manages to draw in a good crowd from her sheer passion.
    • Alas, she gets heckled by some troublemaking deities from time to time. Hana is able to be professional about it though and ignore them. Provided she isn't called "old man" or "old fart", in which case the provoking deity receives a swift and powerful kick to the jaw.
  • Hana managed to strike up an acquaintance with Izumi Curtis, having learned of the woman's desire to be a mother only to lose her first and only natural child. The former which Hana could relate all too well, wanting to be a mother herself but unable to conceive children, and deeply sympathetic with the latter as it reminds her of Sachiko, who kidnapped Kiyoko in desperation to fill the void her miscarriage left. Aside from those points, Hana admires Izumi for her intense strength and excellent teaching (as harsh as she can be) while Izumi is charmed by Hana's singing and haikus.
  • Being the massive cat lover that she is, it came to no surprise to Gin and Hana that Miyuki would be overwhelmed by the plethora of feline deities within the Pantheon. The Hall of Felines nearly banned Miyuki from their grounds after she invaded everyone's personal space. But after she apologized and promised to respect their space, Miyuki became the best of friends to all but the most hostile feline deities. It helped that she is fiercely protective of the cat deities, being quick to get violent at anyone who would so much as joke about harming a cat. Jerry and Tweety nearly learned the hard way how far Miyuki would go to defend cats, and it took Tom and Sylvester's intervention to stop the protective cat-lover.
    • Of course, Miyuki's love for cats isn't completely unconditional; she's aware that there are plenty of feline deities that are very much evil or at least villainous and doesn't extend her fierce protection to them. Katz in particular earned Miyuki's ire for being representative of evil felines, and thereby giving cats a bad name.
  • The three earned the gratitude of Yakuza deities for when they saved a Yakuza boss from getting crushed under his own car. The trio doesn't really know how to feel about this, especially Gin and Miyuki, given that the former became homeless in part because he owed a Yakuza lieutenant money and the latter's father is a cop. Miyuki is also on friendly terms with the wife of the hitman who attempted to assassinate the aforementioned Yakuza boss but successfully shot the lieutenant, making the situation even more awkward for her.
  • One day, the three were approached by Sei and Stella, who had heard about their tale of returning a newborn girl to her family and wanted to give the trio their utmost gratitude: Sei especially, who used to be a police paramedic and was nothing short of impressed of three homeless people managing to do her kind of work. The two girls soon became friends with Hana and Miyuki respectively, with Hana and Sei bonding over their shared love of music and singing while Miyuki can't help but want to be around the Cat-boomer Stella, not that she minds the teen's attention (provided she doesn't stab anyone over her).
    • With Gin, on the other hand, while Stella gets along with him A-OK and invites him along with trips to "Valhalla", Sei harbors intensely mixed feelings towards him due to his alcoholism reminding the woman of her father. Once Hana, Miyuki, and Gin's Kiyoko caught wind of this, they were quick to explain to Sei that, though Gin wasn't the greatest father, he was anything but an abusive parent; having loved his wife and daughter with all his might, wouldn't have dared to lay a harmful to either of them, and actually left them because he felt they would be better off with him out of his lives, due to his addictions interfering with their livelihood. After that, Sei felt bad for subconsciously comparing Gin to her awful father and apologized to him, to which Gin assured her that she didn't need to apologize. He is, after all, still trying to forgive himself for his poor fatherhood in the past.
  • Gin, Hana, and Miyuki are also present in the House of Luck and Fortune, in the Hall of Luckiness.

    Hijiri Mochizuki
Hijiri Mochizuki, Goddess of White Christmas ("Holy Maiden", "Pure White Maiden", "White Snowflakes")
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hijiri.png
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: A crystallized snowflake
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Snowy Christmas, Idol Singer, Carols, Commonly Appears During Winter, Snow Means Love, One of Most Conservative Clothed Idols, Born on Christmas Day
  • Domains: Snow, Christmas, Carols
  • Allies: Koume Shirasaka, Ranko Kanzaki, Eve Santaclaus, Mika Jougasaki, 765 Pro, Queen Elsa, Jack Frost, Olaf
  • Hijiri is bit of a rare idol, not generally showing up around most of the year. However, whenever Christmas rolls around, she is sure to come around, spreading her hums and carols in the silent night. She also seems to be lucky that it always seems to snow when she's around.
  • While most Christmas-related deities are about the celebration of Christmas, she is different, as she is more fascinated with the mood around the Christmas time. She is more specifically fascinated about the snowy nights, as she finds them romantic.
  • When she heard that there is a god who represents Snow Means Love, she immediately wanted to meet them. After she met Jack Frost, she seems to have an interest in him. However, she is bit creeped out on the whole "Snow Means Death" thing and was sad to hear that he died in snow.
    • She also has a slight admiration for Elsa. Apparently she wishes to one day dress up as her for a concert. She is also interested in Olaf as a living snowman, and sort of representation of love between Elsa and Anna.
  • Isn't really seen outside the winter times, though she can occasionally appear if asked outside. Apparently she is sensitive to heat. Though one does wonder what she does outside the winter. Possibly living in colder climates?
  • Not to be confused with Byakuren Hijiri. It's not like the two of them mind any mix-ups or anything like that. We are also sure that she is not some Christmas saint, though some have stated she sometimes gives vibes of one when performing activities, or at least has an aura of maturity around her contrasting her age.
  • Contrary what some of the more crazier gods may think, she does not wish for an Endless Winter. That would be awful, even for her. This is why she doesn't have Kaldr in high regard.

  • Domains: Christmas, altruism, law, (supposed) mental illness

  • Rivals: Dexter

  • Prospective Defense Attorneys: Harvey Birdman, Wright Anything Agency
  • Conflicting Opinion: Nicholas Saint North
  • Special Relationship: Frasier Crane
  • At first appearing to be an ordinary mall Santa at a Macy's in Manhattan, Kris Kringle got everyone's attention with his insistence that he in fact truly was Santa Claus. Many challenged his claims and believed him to be delusional, especially the psychiatrist Mr. Sawyer, who tried to have him committed. He was saved by a legal trial in which his defense attorney, Fred Gailey, used the defense that he might actually be Santa Claus - which, despite sounding ridiculous to everyone involved, worked.
  • After the great publicity his trial garnered, Kris was soon getting letters to Santa Claus from kids all over the country. one such letter claimed to be from a place called the Pantheon, who apparently wanted him to show up and talk to the children there so he could be a Santa for an event there. When he got there, he was ascended as a god due to him perfectly representing someone whose identity as Santa Claus was ambiguous.
  • No one in the pantheon can agree on whether he really is Santa either. Kris Kringle finds it ridiculous that there would be any doubt anymore, because unlike his own world the pantheon is filled with people with fantastic abilities and stories, but plenty of deities also come from worlds where there is no Santa Claus and he very idea of him existing is ridiculous, and just because something's possible in one world doesn't mean it's possible in another. Some people have tried to use as evidence against him that there already is a Santa Claus in the pantheon, but Santa himself pointed out that there are many Santas throughout fiction and the identity he takes the form of in the Pantheon is not the only one in existence, so him being there doesn't mean anything. Upon actually meeting the supposed impostor, Santa found the two were naturally very similar, and the children of the pantheon are happy to have two Santas giving presents to them on Christmas!
  • As for Nicholas St. North, the other Santa in the Pantheon, Kris Kringle isn't that happy about having a tough and intimidating Santa around when he himself has been accused of being violent, and feels that the ideal Santa should be gentle and approachable. However, he does see Nicholas is a good person who truly has the spirit of Christmas in his heart, and thus still ultimately respects him. And it's not like Kringle doesn't have a backbone when the time calls for it either.
  • He spends lots of time in the House of Childhood and Adolescence, asking the children what they want and seeming to have an uncanny ability to predict what they want from just a little knowledge of them. He is unfazed by even the scarier children who some people think are evil, which some point to as evidence that he is a more powerful god than he appears to be so he faces no physical threat from them - or it could just mean he sees the good in everyone.
  • He pays particular attention to the children who had a horrible life and haven't had much chance to know love and kind gifts. Kris Kringle eventually befriended the Baudelaire Orphans despite their earned distrust of adults in their life and initial thought that this man pretending to be Santa Claus was ridiculous, especially winning them over by getting Klaus books that he likes and Violet access to a far wider variety of tools to invent things with than the limited things she had to make do with before. They are especially impressed that, in addition to. Just as he can understand the languages of children he talks to, he's also, to the siblings' surprise, capable of understanding Sunny's Baby Talk.
  • Similarly, he also greatly sympathized with Seita and Setsuko's story and how going through a war left them with nothing and led to their eventual deaths, and always pays special attention to them and gives them lots of gifts to ensure they will never be deprived like that instead. Seita sometimes says he doesn't deserve Kris's care for him because it was his fault he and his sister died, and Kris Kringle responds that he wants the world to be a good enough place that a child does not feel they need to be perfect to deserve life and joy.
  • Some lawyer deities in the pantheon were not impressed by how Kris Kringle won his case, citing the large amount of blatant legal inaccuracies, and have suggested that the Pantheon should re-litigate the whole matter. Harvey Birdman jumped at the chance to be his defense attorney, saying that he's handled far crazier than Kringle's case. The Wright Everything Agency also showed interest in his case. He was a bit leery of Athena Cykes for her use of analytical psychology, knowing how a psychiatrist tried to use his expertise as a smokescreen to justify institutionalizing him, but due to Athena's ability to sense emotions she can tell he is a genuinely kind person who is certainly not Insane Equals Violent and definitely shouldn't be institutionalized - even as her powers aren't enough to tell her whether he is really Santa Claus or not.
  • As for the other psychologists and psychiatrists in the pantheon... Kris Kringle has a complicated relationship with Frasier Crane. As he has said before, he greatly admires psychiatry as a field, but doesn't like when people use it as an excuse to pathologize everything, even good, noble qualities like altruism, and mistreat the mentally ill. While Frasier initially reminded him of Mr. Sawyer with his arrogance about his intelligence and psychological skill, leading to Kringle strongly distrusting him, he has become, if not friendly, at least more understanding of Frasier over time as Kris grew to realize Frasier wasn't truly cynical about any good humans can do the way Sawyer is. Though he does have to sometimes sit through Frasier wondering what in his childhood made him identify so strongly with Santa Claus...
  • He empathizes deeply with Edward Scissorhands for how, like Kris Kringle himself, he was judged as being violent and someone who should be separated from society despite his kindness and good intentions. Edward inspired him to make it a mission to defend those who are misunderstood and made out to be threats or someone who should be locked away, and you have better not get in his way. Kringle is impressed by his sculptures and makes sure to deliver him supplies for Christmas to make bigger and better ones.
  • Dexter has a track record for being skeptical of Santa's existence and trying to disprove it, and while he has learned his lesson that some Santas really exist both in his own world and in the Pantheon, he is still scientifically rigorous enough to know that doesn't mean all Santas are real! Therefore he has sometimes made efforts to try and determine once and for all if Kris is really Santa, though this time he has tried to be less violent and abrasive about it than he used to be when he encountered Santa in his own story. He can still be a bit forceful about it, though, but Kris Kringle seems to have a lot of patience for his antics - after all, however smart he is, Dexter is just a kid and Kris always wants to give children a chance to explore their curiosity and do what he loves. He doesn't see Dexter as the same noxious type of person as the others who have tried to disprove him.
  • Nurse Ratched, on the other hand, is exactly the kind of person he hates, and the feeling is mutual. After hearing about how he once struck a person with an umbrella, Ratched quickly decided that it was a mistake not to have institutionalized him, and she has been crusading throughout the Pantheon trying to get everyone else to agree. To her frustration, despite the confusion about his identity he seems to be mostly loved by other members of the Pantheon, and she just doesn't get it - why can't they see that he is clearly insane and violent, just because there is all sorts of ludicrous fantasy nonsense in the Pantheon doesn't mean that that should just be accepted! Don't the violently crazy people constantly threatening the Pantheon prove that everyone shouldn't just accept him? Kris Kringle, for his own part, is very disappointed that even here, he can find people like her that think this way, and has tried to defend himself without getting too angry in a way she would interpret as proving her point (though it's very hard, since she is such a horrible person).
  • Scrooge McDuck has had a complicated relationship with Santa in his world, but eventually reconciled with him. He and Kris Kringle had a conversation about their thoughts on Christmas - Kringle understands and sympathizes with how he would think coal is a practical gift rather than a punishment, and knows there is value in practical things. But in the end, he feels that's not his job or place in the world, his place is to allow children to be children and achieve their wildest dreams, and it's this kind of attitude of wanting to remove the whimsy from society that lead to people wanting to put him in an institution and get rid of him. Allowing yourself to believe in something can be helpful, as he saw with Doris Walker. But Kris Kringle respects him (although he wishes he would stop being as concerned with making money); it's clear he does care about Christmas and making people happy in the end, and in turn has a lot of respect for him and the other Santas in the pantheon.
