- Since this was disambiguated between Combat Tentacles, Lightning Lash, Tail Slap, Vine Tentacles, Weapon-Based Characterization, Weapon Specialization, and possibly other tropes, move wicks that fit other tropes accordingly, and remove Chairs-y examples.

Whip It Good is a trope about the use of whips as a weapon but that isn't tropable on its own. The description notes that whip owners tend to be domineering or seductive but that isn't reflected in most of the on page examples and wicks. I conducted a wick check and most of the examples that weren't ZCE or "whip as a weapon" were covered by other weapon/whip related tropes.Wick Check Percentages
- Just whip as a weapon—13 wicks~~~26%
- Character carries a whip for the aesthetic—2 wicks~~~4%
- Covered by Other Tropes—22 wicks (including two of the wicks from the "Multiple entries" category) ~~~44%
- Whip It Good + additional context—4 wicks~~~8%
- Other~~~2%
- ZCE/Insufficient Context—10 wicks (including two of the wicks from the "Multiple entries" category") ~~~20%
Solution
I think the best course of action would be to disambiguate Whip It Good with the following:and yard the Whip of Dominance concept because I didn't find enough good examples on that.

Disambig. The Whip of Dominance / Whip Of Sadism idea can fit into Weapon-Based Characterization for now. Other examples like Indiana Jones can probably be at Weapon Specialization and Long-Range Fighter.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupDisambiguate or split
Nevertheless, I don't see, why the use of whips as a waepon is not tropeworthy itself, as this is mostly an untypical and clearly enforced idea of the author and can be seen as a trope itself, even if it a subtrope of weapon specialization
To be clear: The use of whips to show seductiveness or dominance itself as given by this trope here is possibly tropeworthy itself and if we hold it as a trope itself, the meaning should really be clearified.
Weapons themselves aren't tropeworthy because tropes aren't just in the patterns, but in the specific meaning those patterns attach and in the case of weapons, the meanings can be quite different. For example, "character uses a knife" can be done for a whole host of reasons:
- because it was conveniently placed - Improvised Weapon
- to show that they are suspicious/cunning - Devious Daggers (which is a sub trope of Weapon-Based Characterization)
- because they have a distinct preference for the way knives feel and have a unique specialization in it - Weapon Specialization
Those all have different meanings/functions for the narrative/characterization so they shouldn't be lumped together. Similar case here.
On that note, I think disambig-ing and yarding (or sending to the TLP if someone wants to sponsor it) a Weapon-Based Characterization trope for whips for seductive/domineering characters is good.

Splitting isn't an option for reasons already explained in the OP: We don't have enough examples. It has to be done from scratch.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Thinking of other meanings to whips:
- The implausible/Rule of Cool/rule-of-story-convenience ways they are used as weapons/tools in fiction. Grabbing onto stuff, using them to swing like a Grappling-Hook Gun (and the whip easily coming undone afterward for retrieval instead of getting stuck), yanking a gun out of someone's hand, etc. Like a whip version of Implausible Fencing Powers?
- Catwoman's whip, in the context of her cat theme, is reminiscent of a cat tail. Themed Weapon?
We can yard the Themed Weapon idea.

Graffiti WallI dunno if I'm fully on the disambiguate train. People using whips as a weapon isn't exactly common the same way a gun or a sword is.
Trust no one. It's not about commonality, it's about meaninglessness.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessHow is someone using a whip meaningless?
Trust no one.How is it meaningful?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessUsing a whip isn't meaningful on its own, and a disambiguation page would direct people to tropes that apply when there is meaning (such as Weapon-Based Characterization). And yeah, whether something is or isn't Chairs has nothing to do with how common it is, and is solely based on whether it's meaningful.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I mean if I were fighting some dude trying to attack me with a whip, I'd definitely be keeping my eyes on him the whole time. That's meaningful enough for me.
Trust no one.Eh, I'd say the same of someone using knives, or a sword, or an axe, or a club, or...
These are all just dangerous and relatively uncommon (in modern times) melee weapons. Any other connotation had by a whip is already covered elsewhere.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWell, it's kind of like having blue hair where it's so unusual that it is likely done with intention, but the same way You Gotta Have Blue Hair had scope/meaningfulness problems, so does this. It is better to find the specific meanings behind the intent
I agree. Keeping your eyes on your opponent during a fight has nothing to do with what your opponent is wielding and everything to do with staying on your toes. Looking away could leave you vulnerable regardless of what they're wielding.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I dunno about this one. Unlike axes, I wouldn't consider "Whips as a weapon" chairs because being a weapon isn't the primary purpose of a whip. They're tools of torture and fear.
Using them as an effective weapon is such a wild exaggeration of their purpose that I feel that is notable on its own. It runs on Rule of Cool logic.
Torture is already covered by A Taste of the Lash I think
Most of the wicks I found were covered by other weapon/whip related tropes when they did have context so I don't see a reason to keep this as a hub for all whip related uses. It's better to have separate tropes for those usages if there are enough examples of them.
As noted above, it's probably less that it's chairs and more that all possible usages of a whip are better being their own trope if they don't exist already. Unless the weapon is pure fantasy or incredibly improbable, I don't think a character using x as a weapon is good enough. I think whips have been treated as weapons in fiction for long enough (this trope has 3k wicks) that it's not that striking to see them

Macron's notesDressed Like a Dominatrix would be good to add to the potential disambig and catch any "dominatrix-esque character has whip but not necessarily as weapon" usage I think.
