Work Page
- '90s Anti-Hero: At the very least, Sylvanas and the main trio.
- The Alliance:
- Amazon Brigade: the Vakdrak. Tyrannus Division (downplayed since there are males but only as Red Shirt Army).
- Army of The Ages:
- Authority Equals Ass Kicking: To be expected, given the franchises this fic crossovers.
- Benevolent Mage Ruler: Bloom, Stella, Aisha, and Nebula (Roxy ditched). Galadwen.
- Bag of Spilling:
- Birds of a Feather: Romantically: Iladris, and Altalune. Familywise: Gilliam and Flora, Zoe and Tecna, Bloom and her daughters.
- Broken Pedestal: Flora, Daphne, and Galadwen are secretly manipulative. Altalune berates Daphne when she learns about it.
- Cain and Abel: Zigzagged with Trisha and Daphne.
- Cast Calculus
- Civil War vs. Armageddon
- Civil Warcraft: Solaria’s and Eraklyon’s internal wars. Though they didn’t know at the time about the Burning Legion.
- The Chessmaster: Daphne. Galadwen.
- Children Forced to Kill.
- Les Collaborateurs: The Council of Rocalucce and the nobility of, at least, Eraklyon, Domino, and Solaria.
- Competence Porn: The Tyrannys Division.
- Conservation of Ninjutsu
- Continuing is Painful
- Contrasting Sequel Main Character
- Contrasting Sequel Setting
- Decadent Court
- Disproportionate Retribution: What the Trix did to Trisha in the name of their long-pending revenge against Bloom.
- Divergent Character Evolution: Trisha, Altalune, and Stacy. Sylvanas and Daphne. Eudora and Galadwen.
- Downer Beginning
- Drama-Preserving Handicap: Trisha cannot access the full potential of the Dragon’s Flame despite having inherited it from her mother. Well, actually from her sister, since the Flame went to Altalune but being the independent rebel she is, she rejected it. In any case, poor Trisha is way too traumatized and full of self-loathing to have enough positive emotions to fuel her magic and has to make do with her admittedly prodigious intelligence and Dark Ranger training. If she could use the Flame, it's implied her life would have been a tad easier — from getting at least some approval from Domino's people to not having to resort to such brutal means at waging the war.
- Driving Question: What exactly happened when Bloom and Stella died?
- Dungeon Punk: As per World of Warcraft's tradition.
- The Earth-Prime Theory
- Elites Are More Glamorous: Tyrannus Division.
- Evil Plan
- Fantastic Naming Convention: The -dís termination for nymphs and the Flame's bearers. And, of course, the fan-created transformation of the Etherix keeps the canonical tendency to terminate in -ix virtually everything.
- Feminist Fantasy:
- Final Solution: What Eudora did to Solaria's witches/fairies of light.
- Good Is Not Nice: Flora and the next-gen Winx. Galadwen and Daphne.
- Government in Exile: Solaria.
- Hopeless War
- Hope Spot
- Locked Out of the Loop: Daphne's manipulations.
- Magical Girl Warrior: everyone, but in different flavors.
- Magical Girl Genre Deconstruction: Kind of. More like a Winx Club deconstruction.
- The Man Behind the Man: Daphne for Galadwen and Flora. Eudora for Diaspro.
- Never the Selves Shall Meet
- Pay Evil unto Evil
- Power Creep, Power Seep: Averted.
- The Power of Hate:
- Red Herring
- Sadistic Choice
- "Save the World" Climax
- Schizo Tech: The Centauri Labs.
- Scylla and Charybdis: Daphne’s manipulations. Trisha’s unpopularity
- Shoot the Mage First: On a planetary scale against Solaria.
- Snow Means Death
- Sorting Algorithm of Mortality
- Story Arc: Time travel arc, Interludes, Revenge arc.
- Summon Magic:
- Thicker Than Water: What ultimately motivated Altalune to start appreciating her sister.
- Took a Level in Badass: Bloom and Stella after being summoned as valkyries. Trisha, Altalune, and Stacy after their training with Sylvanas, Snotra, and Shandris respectively.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Following Bloom's demise, her daughters have been forced to fight in the war and kill in cold blood (they started going to missions at 14-15). And they are not only Child Soldiers but are Young and in Charge and, consequently, have been faced with sadistic choices while waging the dimensional war. Trisha, especially, had to burn an entire city because it was so corrupted by Fel it was unsalvageable. Needless to say, this has deeply scarred their psyches to the point of them struggling to call on their fairy transformations (which are fueled by positive emotions). That's why we all saw Trisha finally losing it coming, we just didn't want to believe it until it happened.
