* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Later in the plot, [[spoiler: Trisha]] turns into one. This character has witnessed her own mother's assassination in a gruesome way while still being a little girl, has been through TrainingFromHell since then, has awful mental health (PTSD, SurvivorsGuilt, low self-esteem, and severe, chronic depression), is probably overworked, is hated by her people and has to wage a nearly lost war to protect those same people. The nail in the coffin happens when [[spoiler: her older sister is apparently lost/dead in the past]] and so, she decides to go on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge and die in the process, or kill herself once she has eliminated the last of her enemies.

* SummonMagic: %% In this fic, valkyries from the [[Myth/NorseMythology Fólkvangr]] are females with Asser blood that died heroically during battle. And they can be summoned to fight by your side if you're a nymph (guardians with immortal souls who were created by the Great Dragon) and you're willing to pay with a good chunk of your soul's lifespan and sacrifice whatever happiness you may have in the remaining years. It also requires a ritual with very specific requirements. But, to compensate, the summoned valkyries are overpowered FragileSpeedsters who transcend death itself.
* ThickerThanWater: What ultimately motivated Altalune to start appreciating her sister.
* TookALevelInBadass: Bloom and Stella after being summoned as valkyries. Trisha, Altalune, and Stacy after their training with Sylvanas, Snotra, and Shandris respectively.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Following Bloom's demise, her daughters have been forced to fight in the war and kill in cold blood (they started going to missions at 14-15). And they are not only ChildSoldiers but are YoungAndInCharge and, consequently, have been faced with [[SadisticChoice sadistic choices]] while waging the dimensional war. Trisha, especially, had to burn an entire city because it was so corrupted by Fel it was unsalvageable. Needless to say, this has deeply scarred their psyches to the point of them struggling to call on their fairy transformations (which are fueled by positive emotions). That's why we all saw Trisha finally losing it coming, we just didn't want to believe it until it happened.

* DramaPreservingHandicap: Trisha cannot access the full potential of the Dragon’s Flame despite having inherited it from her mother. Well, actually from her sister, since the Flame went to Altalune but being the independent rebel she is, she rejected it. In any case, poor Trisha is way too traumatized and full of self-loathing to have enough positive emotions to fuel her magic and has to conform with her admittedly prodigious intelligence and Dark Ranger training. If she could use the Flame, it's implied her life would have been a tad easier -- from getting at least some approval from Domino's people to not having to resort to such [[SadisticChoice brutal means]] at waging the war.

That’s why she was able to carefully plan her path to debilitate Eudora’s grip on Magix by destroying strategic points and eliminating key individuals.
%% and later lay lots of tricks in her battle against her. Trisha still loses, though, because FailureIsTheOnlyOption.
