  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Giant, rampaging lady, in this case.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Though Puella's goals seem clear, she rarely has any actual plan of action to achieve them. She tends to just do whatever first jumps to mind.
  • Attention Whore: The crux of her motivation - above all else she desires to be admired. no matter the cost.
  • Badass on Paper: Puella has the strength and size to be a terrifying threat, but her impulsivity, tantrums and general childish attitude stop her from being the badass she wants to be.

  • Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Inverted as her destructive adventures and clumsiness ruin her efforts to look proper and fancy.
  • Berserk Button: Has two of these.
    • She hates it when she's referred to by her real name, Puella. She is very insistent on being called Pinky.
    • Anyone who insults her image is bound to regret it.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Pinky is playful, teasing and excitable girl when she grows, if a little oblivious. This doesn't mean she isn't capable of monstrous things.
  • Big Ego, Hidden Depths: Puella's intense need to be seen is made more understandable once her abusive childhood is revealed.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Tends to return Lucy's cheerful optimism with sarcastic comments.
  • Deconstructed Character Archetype: The Giant Woman. Puella remains an attractive woman with a revealing outfit who causes a lot of damage for selfish reasons, but unlike most stories focused on giant rampaging women, Pinky Makes it Big focuses more on the gradual development from a normal person to a rampaging monster rather than the change being near-instantaneous.

  • Nothing Nice About Sugar and Spice: A girl with largely very feminine interests, but this doesn't stop her from being terrifying.

  • Sizeshifter: Can seemingly grow forever, but there's no known way to shrink back down.
  • Skewed Priorities: When on the run after the death of her father, her focus is still on people's reactions more than the reality of what she's done.
  • Start of Darkness: The story as a whole tells the tale of Puella's gradual descent into evil.
  • Stumbling in the New Form: Seems to be constantly doing this, but most prominently when she was first growing and destroyed a flight of stairs trying to make her way down it and trapping herself in the stairwell.

     Lucy Garcia
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Was this in the first few chapters of the story with Puella as the Cloudcuckoolander's Minder, but their dynamic was gradually flipped on its head as Puella grows more out of control.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: See above.
  • Plucky Girl: Lucy is very cheerful and excitable, being very supportive of Puella's sudden changes.
  • Sidekick: Acts as Puella's sidekick through the first half of the story, sticking by her side no matter what.
